The first person that I got to speak to at UK Tattoo First 2026 in Milton Keynes was the wonderful Madison. Now I know Madison previously from where he frequents Shuhari tattoo shop in Bedford. Madison is covered, when I say covered, head to toe in tattoos. If there is a Friday the 13th flash day, he is there. Any kind of flash day, he is there. And whenever he goes to a convention, he's more than likely to get tattooed. In this episode, we just talk about his love of the art, his love of conventions, and his love of the community. Thank you so much for talking to me, Madison. Hello, do you like to introduce yourself?

SPEAKER_00

Hi, my name is Madison Suicide.

SPEAKER_01

And what are you doing here today, Madison?

SPEAKER_00

Today I'm here at the UK Tattoo Fest enjoying the tattooing, getting tattooed and seeing some amazing people. The convention is beautiful this year.

SPEAKER_01

So you travel a lot to conventions, don't you?

SPEAKER_00

Yes, I do.

SPEAKER_01

So why do you travel around to different conventions?

SPEAKER_00

I travel around to different tattoo conventions because I love the art, different art, um, meeting different people and then also collecting some artwork that I can put on my skin for the rest of my life.

SPEAKER_01

So would you say one of your favourite things is the community?

SPEAKER_00

Yes, the community. We don't judge each other, we all look the same and we mingle well with each other, like having a chat about our favourite subjects, which is tattoos.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so if anyone looking on the outside, so obviously looking at people like us, covered in tattoos, and you know, it's kind of we all look a bit like ruffians, right? Someone looking on the outside, a lot of people judge. What would you say actually to those people of what we are actually like?

SPEAKER_00

We're just lovely people that love to express ourselves with tattoos, like we don't want to be normal, we want to be different, we want to be extreme, and that's the fun part of being tattooed, like we're different, we're not bad people with tattoos, we're very lovely people.

SPEAKER_01

It's just we like to express ourselves in different ways, isn't it?

SPEAKER_00

Yes, definitely.

SPEAKER_01

So you've had some artwork done today. What have you had done today?

SPEAKER_00

I've had an uh uh a hibiscus flower done on my leg. You can't see at the moment, it's wrapped up in clean film, but it was done by Ella Rose Inc. And she's such a lovely person.

SPEAKER_01

So, whereabouts is Ella Rose Inc. based?

SPEAKER_00

Uh Hertfordshire, I think. I think it said that on her Instagram.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so right looking at you, how many tattoos would you say you have? I hate it when people ask me this question. How many tattoos would you say you have?

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god, I think about two hundredths or something, maybe. Like, I'm all random everywhere. I've got like different things going on. Like, I don't have like things connecting to tattoos, I just have like random tattoos, and that's what I like about my body and my tattoos. Like, I get artwork from different people uh because I don't want to stick with just one person, I want to get everybody's work.

SPEAKER_01

You are like a canvas of your journey in your life, aren't you?

SPEAKER_00

Yes, I am.

SPEAKER_01

I love this. Okay, so one last thing. I would like you to choose a song. So um on my radio show, I'm gonna be doing a whole playlist, and it's gonna be a UK Tattoo Fest playlist. Choose a song for me to play. This is where your brain goes blank, and you're like, I can't think of any single song. What song would you play that makes me you go, yes?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I really love um oh what's that song? Um Fly Away by Lenny Kravitz.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, okay. Lenny Kravitz Fly Away. That is your song. Thank you so much for speaking to me, Madison.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you very much for having me today.
