Hi Baby
Welcome to our “family-friendly(ish)” podcast - really just a love letter in audio form. It’s our sometimes-chaotic diary of this journey, capturing the cravings, worries, wins, and 2am thoughts through honest conversations, humor, and a little oversharing.
Part podcast, part time capsule - and just family-friendly…ish.
Hi Baby
We're NOT Ready to be Parents...
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
This weeks episode we discuss all the things gearing up until baby is here! And we play a super fun game, of course baby themed :) We hope you enjoy!
I feel very unprepared right now.
SPEAKER_02I don't know, I'm being serious.
SPEAKER_01No, that's not how bad it is.
SPEAKER_02I'm not trying to be rude.
SPEAKER_01I don't know about that.
SPEAKER_02I think we're at like No. No, you were reaching for the stars. I think we're just worried about being parents. I'm stressing a little bit. Hi, baby.
SPEAKER_00Today you are 30 weeks old.
SPEAKER_0230 weeks? 30 weeks? That's so crazy, baby.
SPEAKER_00Which makes you the size of a tiny big little cabbage.
SPEAKER_02A tiny big cabbage.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02Wow. So we actually know the fruit or vegetable this week, which is exactly we do now.
SPEAKER_01Well, I looked it up. Last week we were the size of a small pumpkin. Which is, I guess you could say the same size as a but now we're now we've upgraded to a cabbage.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, getting closer to meeting you.
SPEAKER_02Almost like, like I'm so excited. It's crazy how quick it's moving. But I honestly, like, I feel like we told everybody like a week ago. It does not be like, Do you not feel like that?
SPEAKER_01No. I feel like we've had no time to really sit and like kind of savor since we found out so far along. Um, and there have been pros to finding out so far along, and then there have been like moments like where we really feel like our feet have been knocked off the ground.
SPEAKER_02No, honestly, it's been so crazy just uh like how long ago was that? Two months ago?
SPEAKER_01About two months. I found out at 23 weeks.
SPEAKER_02Has it not been like the craziest two weeks of like or two months of just like non-stop, go, go, go?
SPEAKER_01What's really crazy is it's been two weeks since we two months since we found out, but we only have two more months to go as well.
SPEAKER_02I'm so excited, first and foremost. So so excited. I cannot wait to meet our baby boy. But also, I feel like we both kind of feel like we have no No, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I feel very unprepared right now. Uh we don't have a stroller. No stroller yet. We we went to the dealership last the dealership. If you saw that picture, you want to get a new whip, you know, see what's up.
SPEAKER_02Try out some strollers.
SPEAKER_01So we did try out some strollers at the dealership. Um we tried The Nuna.
SPEAKER_02The Nuna The Duna. The Who the Hoo-Ha.
SPEAKER_01The Hooha, the Plaha.
SPEAKER_02Dude, the names of baby stuff. We gotta talk about this for like the names of baby stuff, they be making up random words, and then they just slap it on the top. No, for real.
SPEAKER_01Point tail.
SPEAKER_02We were having that conversation with JC and Chelsea because they have a um somewhat normal named one. It's called like the mocking mocking.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they have which is a normal name.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's a normal name. And then they were like talking to us about, we were like asking them about that one and like which baby shoulder we should get, and then they were talking about the names, and they were just saying like that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they went from being like, so we use the mocking bird for this, and then we use the duna for that. We tried out the Nuna Luna, but then it just says they're the names are so funny and they're so baby forward.
SPEAKER_02They're kind of cute though. I yeah, I like it. Um, but no, I just feel like yeah, we we have a lot to do. The thing is, I'm normally the person that is like not stressing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I don't know how.
SPEAKER_02And to be honest, I'm stressing a little bit.
SPEAKER_01I know you are because I'm stressing a little bit. The thing is, is I feel like the stroller solves a lot of our problems because we don't have a stroller and we also don't have a bassinet. And that those are like kind of two really, really big things. But we did that video.
SPEAKER_02We did the video asking where we we shopped babylist, went to the store, and we're trying out all the stuff, and we love the Nuna. We love it. 10 out of 10. But it is probably the most expensive one.
SPEAKER_01It's like in total, with all the attachments, it's the price of a with transparency, it's literally like almost $2,000.
SPEAKER_02It's like buying a used car. Um, and is it worth it, potentially? But then we're also kind of weighing some other options, some other good brands, because we did that video, we got some comments because we're gonna be able to do that.
SPEAKER_01And like other good brands are like still seven, eight hundred dollars, which is still very insane.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Because when I was a baby, my parents got a nice stroller and they spent like 200 bucks, and that was them like splurging on your own.
SPEAKER_02I found some nice ones because I was doing some research, you know. I'm always trying to save some money. Uh, I was doing some research and I found some nice ones that are cheaper, but they don't do all the things. So, like, they're usually good for one thing.
SPEAKER_01Why don't we explain what the Nuna does first?
SPEAKER_02Okay, so the Nuna is really great because it's convertible. So uh not like the roof comes off, but it uh it's convertible where it's the Porsche of all the stuff. It really is the Porsche of stroller. So what it does is the seat clips in, and not only is it a baby seat, but then you can also clip in a um a bassinet. A bassinet, and then zero to six months, you can the seat clips out and then goes directly into a car seat. So you don't have to have a car seat and the stroller, you get both in one. And it makes it super easy. The thing folds up with one button.
SPEAKER_01It's also like not doesn't weigh more than I how many?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's made out of carbon fiber.
SPEAKER_01It's made out of carbon fiber because I guess this is like an ad for them.
SPEAKER_02We we reached out to them if they want to.
SPEAKER_01We are not sponsored by Nuna. Um, but if they want to.
SPEAKER_02But regardless, it's like it in a weird way, it kind of does save you money because unlike the the Duna, a lot of these other ones are really good and cheaper for like 200 bucks, 300 bucks, but they only do one or two things. Whereas like the Duna does like five and it also grows with you, so it's up until five years old, they can use it.
SPEAKER_01You mean the Nuna?
SPEAKER_02The Nuna, sorry. I can't keep up.
SPEAKER_01Is it the Duna? Is it the Nuna?
SPEAKER_02I know the something, something one of them. Uh I don't even know. So I don't know. We're trying to wear our options.
SPEAKER_01It's kind of like the brand named like Poo Poo Papa or something like that now.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's gonna be my brand. That's all I'm saying. Yeah, but yeah, I think you know, just figuring out that.
SPEAKER_01Oh, and you didn't mention this too. The bassinet is also attaches to your home bassinet. So it's like also the bassinet that they can sleep in at night. So it's just like kind of like a five and one. Five and two. So you know, like you're like, okay, yes, it's a lot of money, but we get all of this, all the attachments, it'll last us till around four to five years old. But my question is kind of worth it, but then you're like, fuck, it's a lot of money.
SPEAKER_02But my thing is, do they need a stroller until they're five? Because that's the that's their advertising.
SPEAKER_01Like it's good till they're five years old, but would you want to carry a five-year-old around Disneyland the whole time?
SPEAKER_02I'll make him walk. What do you mean? You got legs?
SPEAKER_01All right.
SPEAKER_02Like, I understand when they're like two, two or three. Like, I get it. They get tired, they don't wanna they don't want to walk around. But I'm trying to remember if I don't remember me being in a stroller when I was five.
SPEAKER_01I went to Disneyland for the first time. My parents took me when I was five, and I think my dad did the same thing. I think my dad was like, You wanna go, you gotta stand. Like, we didn't have a stroller.
SPEAKER_02Back in my day, we used to walk.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, back in my day we didn't have strollers, you know. Um, no, I definitely walk.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I could be way off. I'm actually just I actually don't know, but I'm curious to be able to do it.
SPEAKER_01I just but like is it is it more of an ease for the parents than it is for like teaching your I don't know, maybe we don't give a design.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Maybe we just don't go. Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_02Um but yeah, I think but overall, I think we are moving at a good pace. I think we will be ready. I just think a lot of it stems from you know, I think we're just worried about being parents more than anything.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I think a lot of stress is. It's just it's a handful of things. I think obviously if things didn't cost as much, we probably would have had way more by now, but we're not made of money. It's not like me and Crawford can just throw out $2,000 for a stroller and then on top of that, get everything else we need. Um if you want some real birth control, I um got my bill for the first three months in the mail. And after I have health insurance, so after health insurance, I think like three labs and two checkups came back to like eight hundred dollars. And that's that's after without my insurance, they put it there, it would have been like four grand.
SPEAKER_02Let's just go to Canada, have a Canadian baby.
SPEAKER_01I'm not a Canadian citizen.
SPEAKER_02Healthcare, let's do it.
SPEAKER_01I'm not a Canadian citizen, so I wouldn't get it for free.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't think it works like that.
SPEAKER_01No, it doesn't.
SPEAKER_02Um, that was kind of a shock for me coming from Canada where everything is uh included and uh you know birth is technically free, I believe. There.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's also on top of my premium. So I also have to pay my like I almost pay $400 a month for my health insurance. Isn't that crazy?
SPEAKER_02That's crazy.
SPEAKER_01And thank God I I do have health insurance because if we didn't, like we saw the number of what it would have been without my insurance.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. It's funny you say that because there's so many of our friends I was talking to, we're like, oh, maybe thinking about having kids. And obviously, part of me is like, hell yeah, I want all of our friends to have kids. The other part of me is like, if you want free birth control, like you said, I start telling them how much stuff costs. Yeah. And I'm like, dude, like, it's no joke.
SPEAKER_01No, yeah, babies are expensive.
SPEAKER_02But I also do believe a lot of it too, like, I think a lot of it don't technically need, I guess if that makes sense. It's more like the more expensive stuff. Yeah, you don't need to go. The more expensive stuff. No, no, not that. I'm saying, like, the expensive strollers, the expensive everything else. Like, you don't need them, they just make your life easier.
SPEAKER_01They do, a hundred percent.
SPEAKER_02Like, you could go get a stroller for like 200 bucks on Amazon and it'll work and it'll carry your kid. It's just not gonna be foldable, it's not gonna be That's what that's why we talk about like the extra 10% of the car seat as well.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we always talk about how that like extra 10% of like luxury will cost you a whole extra 100% more.
SPEAKER_02That's something we're trying to figure out right now.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so we'll keep you updated on the right.
SPEAKER_02And we appreciate any advice. I know we did that video where we were baby shopping, and a lot of the good advice I got was from you guys telling us, like, hey, I paid this or oh, I like this brand. And a lot of you guys love um specific brands, which obviously that information really makes us.
SPEAKER_01I'm super like the biggest advice I've gotten, but we weren't able to use, is the advice to reach out to other friends and family that you know that had just had kids because obviously they're not gonna use a bassinet once their kid is a year old. So if they still have it around, hand me downs, yeah. I know, but everyone we know, like for example, Keenan Ayla, they're having their second kid. So, like a lot of the people we know are planning on reusing their stuff already, so it's not like they can even like they give it away because they're gonna be like we don't really have hand-me-downs just yet. If anything, me and you will probably be like someone handing something down.
SPEAKER_02Some hand-me-downs, yeah.
SPEAKER_01What if we give our bassinet to David and Grace because they said that they're gonna be like, they haven't a kid?
SPEAKER_02They mentioned it on our pod. So I hope so.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, I I and I recommend I still recommend that to everyone because I feel like there are things that you can totally get, like clothes or you know, like bottles and like extra things that they probably didn't get to use because they had too much of. So reach out to your friends and families that also have kids. Is a big is a big advice that I got.
SPEAKER_02Save as much money as you can. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I also didn't realize this, but you can return diapers.
SPEAKER_02Return? What do we mean?
SPEAKER_01After you use them, yeah, or exchange them for sizes, essentially. So like if you had were given too many diapers of like one size, you can go in to the grocery store or to you bringing in the diapers that have been used.
SPEAKER_02Like, no, they haven't been used.
SPEAKER_01I probably No, babe. Uno box of diapers.
SPEAKER_02So if like friends and family get you diapers or you buy too many, you can bring them back and exchange them.
SPEAKER_01So there are things out there that where they make it easy, but all in all, out of planning, out of 10, how far along do you think we are?
SPEAKER_02I would say we're like ready for to have this baby? Like if the baby's like if the baby came today. If the baby came today, how ready are we to have the baby?
SPEAKER_01Like in terms of like necessities and like things that they might need.
SPEAKER_02Well, honestly, we so we haven't even had our official baby shower yet for friends and family. But we talked about this in the video. Did we talk about it on the podcast? Um, my Twitch chat went above and beyond, and this wasn't my idea, by the way. I would never in a million years ask for this, but they were like, hey, we would love to um throw you guys, like send you guys some stuff with a baby. So it's like, oh, okay. Um they're like, put together like a list of stuff you guys need, and we'll send it over. And I was expecting like two or three people to buy something. Um obviously I never expected anyone to do it like in that way, but more just like, oh, if you guys want to.
SPEAKER_01You saw how much I cried, so I I don't want to talk about it anymore because I probably will cry again. But yes.
SPEAKER_02But chat absolutely went above and beyond and sent so many amazing things that we needed. Everything from like I mean, with the videos up on YouTube, but pretty much a long list of like probably 70% things we need. Except for like the really big things. As far as like everything we need, I think the only things we're missing really is like the stroller, the bassinet, the crib, and like most of the small stuff.
SPEAKER_01We I feel like we got I don't know about that. Like, we don't have the bottle cleaner sterilizer yet. We need more bottles.
SPEAKER_02To answer your question, out of ten, I think we're at like seven. I think that's she probably feels we're we're zero, not her.
SPEAKER_01No. As someone looking at it from I feel like a little bit of a more realistic standpoint. Oh yeah. Not to say that yours wasn't. It was just um, you know, you were reaching for the stars. Uh, I think that we're more on like a five. Five, okay. If I had to be quite honest. We're at a five. Then we're at a five and we're two months away.
SPEAKER_02So there, I don't really know what babies need.
SPEAKER_01So yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'm still learning as I go.
SPEAKER_01I also spoke to mom the other day, going back to the Nuna really quickly, who said that she bought the Nuna and that her son hated it, and then she bought like a cheap, like hundred dollar stroller.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And that he would only like that one and never cry in that one. And now I'm like, oh my god.
SPEAKER_02Babies are picky about strollers?
SPEAKER_01Huh?
SPEAKER_02They're picky about which stroller they like.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I guess so. I guess they can really feel it.
SPEAKER_02Same way we like a different car, they're like, no, this is not stuff by style.
SPEAKER_01But you know me, I'm bougie. Maybe our kid will be bougie too. Um but but I was gonna go back to the healthcare thing because since we were talking about like how many visits and checkups we've had and just like what ungodly hours we show up at the hospital for to get these checkups done. Um I was thinking about it, I was like, as a woman, as someone who's been to the OB like since like you know, like 18, you start your, I think is when you usually start going to see your OB. But now I get to share this experience, is what we'll call it, with you.
SPEAKER_02But you really I have never been just to so many OB appointments in my life.
SPEAKER_01To flatly put it out there.
SPEAKER_02I've been to like seven of them or something. I'm like, oh my god.
SPEAKER_01You're getting up there, yeah, for sure. I mean, even including the fertility one for this.
SPEAKER_02It's a whole different experience I never thought I'd be a part of.
SPEAKER_01So yeah. I guess what I'm trying to say is I until I became pregnant, I didn't really realize how many people like actually get to see your cooch.
SPEAKER_02Is that the medical term?
SPEAKER_01Well, is what is what is the proper internet way to say vagina? Like, is do we just say vagina or do we just say cooch or like the P word sounds too vulgar to say right now, so I don't even want to say it?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't know. Like maybe I'm not the best at getting checkups since I've been, you know, growing up, but not that many people have seen my private parts. Not even close.
SPEAKER_01How many people, how many doctors have had to hold your balls when you caught?
SPEAKER_02Oh, literally zero. I should probably get a checkup. I'm gonna get I'm gonna get roasted for this, but I don't think I've ever done like a full physical, which I probably should. Is that a Canadian thing or just like um I we talked about this in Chelsea's episode? My and don't I'm not saying this is a good thing, but my family was very like Holistic. Holistic. So my dad, like, we didn't grow up going to the doctor a lot. Like if we had an emergency, we'd obviously go to the doctor, but we didn't grow up like like it was like avoid the doctor at all costs, unless you have to. So, you know, I'm not saying that's the way to go about it, um, but that's just kind of how I was raised.
SPEAKER_01I think that if I tried to count it, not including not not including like the couple of girls that like have lasered me, I think that like over ten doctors and nurses have seen my my vagina. I don't know why it sounds so like I'm not even trying to say it in like a funny way, but like it really is a thought to me that like you we just I go in there and I'm like I take an e I this is what's so funny is every morning before we have an ultrasound, I make a note either the night before or morning of taking everything shower. And I don't even think you know what that is, but like for all my girls out there, you know what that is. It's like you literally prepare everything.
SPEAKER_02Every shower, everything, every time you shower.
SPEAKER_01No, but like this is where like you shave everything and you like extra clean everything.
SPEAKER_02Isn't that like the type of thing you do when you're going on a date? Yes, but So what's going on with you and the doctor here?
unknownHold up.
SPEAKER_01I just I don't know. So some people if you're going to the doctors, but I still care, and I'm like, well, I don't even care. Like you, it's so much funnier now because I don't I don't even know how to just like say it without just saying it, but like now that I when I take my everything shower, just trying to do it pregnant at seven months is insane. Like if you're a girl, think about the way that you have to take your everything shower, and now just imagine like a big pregnant bump in front of you that also already covers your vagina. So like trying to do the everything shower is really, really I feel like losing my breath in the shower. And I'm like, I didn't even know this is.
SPEAKER_02They don't give you like a heads up.
SPEAKER_01No, I mean they it's true. Sometimes we go in there like we went in last week and they didn't they didn't check down there, but the week before they did.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't know what's the they they just decide randomly. So I don't I don't know, and I mean it's probably really good, but I didn't even realize how many checkups they they do. Obviously, it's probably good to make sure the baby's, you know, doing well.
SPEAKER_01It's also a weirder feeling when um you do the ultrasen where they have to I don't know what medically that camera thing is called, but the one that they have to put inside of me feels so weird to be put inside of me now that I'm pregnant. Because like I feel like it hit.
SPEAKER_02I feel like that's like coming from um a male perspective, I feel like that's just so invasive.
SPEAKER_01Like I would feel like invasive.
SPEAKER_02I would be like, damn, like you really gotta do all that?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we do do that.
SPEAKER_02That's crazy.
SPEAKER_01So I don't know. I guess because like you know, you start seeing your OB at 18, like by the time you decide to have kids, you are kind of just like used to kind of letting your doctor be.
SPEAKER_02But at the end of the day, like they are professionals, they're just doing it because to make sure you're good. But it I it still is like I still feel like that's like a lot.
SPEAKER_01I know some people are lucky enough that they have the same OB throughout, like, yeah, from when they first get their OB throughout pregnancy. Whereas like I've had to move hospitals quite a bit, so a lot of people have seen mine. And Crawford, it's so funny Crawford just sits there when it happens to and he's just like because they'll be like, okay, they'll start to um undo the well here's the thing like I think I'll put my feet up and you're just like okay.
SPEAKER_02Well, I go because you want me there. So I'm like, I got you, but like it's not exactly my favorite place. It's not exactly my favorite place to see.
SPEAKER_01Excuse me, you also want to be there.
SPEAKER_02No, I want to be there to support you. But like and see the baby, yes, yes. But I don't like I don't like doctors.
SPEAKER_01No, Coffin hates hospitals.
SPEAKER_02I was telling her actually, this is a thought, and maybe some people can relate to this, or maybe it's just the way I was brought up, but I like have an association with the hospital that like I said, we only went when it was like an emergency. So all my memories from the hospital are not good. So so this is the first time we've been going to the doctor where it's like, oh, we're going for a good reason.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like it feels like, oh, we're going to imagine see our baby or find out our baby's okay or go to have our baby. Yeah, that's gonna be an experience.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Me and Crawford would when we go to the hospital, we pass by the parking spaces that say for for expecting mothers in labor. And we're like, one day we're gonna have to pull up into one of those spots because I'm I'm gonna be in labor.
SPEAKER_02That's crazy.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean So what's the number?
SPEAKER_02How many people? Ten plus?
SPEAKER_01Listen, do you wanna know or do you know?
SPEAKER_02I don't know if I want to know. Let's let's move on.
SPEAKER_01Are we just including nurses and doctors?
SPEAKER_02Well, okay, now let's move on.
SPEAKER_01Well, like I have people that like do I I get I got my cooch lasered.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I thought you were talking about something else. No, I don't want to I don't know where we don't need to get into this.
SPEAKER_01Before you I was a virgin.
SPEAKER_02Cool. Same. Oh, yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. So at least in our minds, that's what we tell each other.
SPEAKER_02Oh god.
SPEAKER_01Um, okay. Wow. Getting into a more light-hearted, fun kind of game we got here.
SPEAKER_02I'm ready. I like games.
SPEAKER_01Our wonderful um producer Alyssa.
SPEAKER_02Let's go. Let's get a W Alyssa. I'm a Twitch streamer. I have to say W Alyssa. Let's get a W in the chat. Let's get a W in the chat real quick.
SPEAKER_01We're not streaming right now, baby. We're not streaming? No. No. Um, but she knows how amazing you are at word games. Like, oh my god.
SPEAKER_02No, I feel like there's a setup because I love games and I love playing games, but word games are like my least favorite.
SPEAKER_01Crawford's the person that like when you play Scrabble, he looks for like the triple and quadruple words and he makes the words.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so I did well in school in every class except for English. And not from the reading, like reading, sure, easy, but as far as spelling, I'm probably the worst speller of all time.
SPEAKER_01I'm the worst speller of all the time.
SPEAKER_02Any word games, that's literally what you're dependent on.
SPEAKER_01I haven't ever told you this, but my first um spelling bee. Um I got out the first round and my word was dolphin. I remember this is in the second one. So I'm good, babe.
SPEAKER_02I'm good.
SPEAKER_01It was dolphin, and I was so nervous that I spelled it with an F instead of the That's crazy H.
SPEAKER_02They're like, Why is she here? Dolphin with an F is crazy. Okay, I'm not that bad. Sorry, baby. That's I'm I feel really bad. It's
SPEAKER_01It happened in front of my whole second grade class. I was a little embarrassed. Yeah. Because they were like, um Is that why you don't want a dolphin birth?
SPEAKER_02It's trauma.
SPEAKER_01There's a couple reasons why that's a crazy thing, too. Stay away from the dolphin births.
SPEAKER_02I know nothing about that other than people do it, and that's just a crazy thought. So I'm not here to give my opinion on whether it's good or bad. It just sounds wild.
SPEAKER_01It's definitely one for the books.
SPEAKER_02One for the books.
SPEAKER_01I don't know anything about it other than the fact that you give birth with dolphins, and if that's all you knew, you'd be like, What?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's all I know about it. Okay. Scramble. We're playing a game.
SPEAKER_01The game is called Scramble.
SPEAKER_02Alright, guys, so basically the game is called Scramble. We'll have a bunch of letters that are all scrambled up, and they spell a word, and whoever gets that word first.
SPEAKER_01And unscrambles the scrambler.
SPEAKER_02Whoever loses this game has to buy the stroller. It's gonna be me, so I'm setting myself up.
SPEAKER_01I was gonna say I'm buying it regardless. So honestly, I don't want to get my hopes up too high though because I don't know the words. So I just all all I know is that we're going based off of the fact that they are related to pregnancy and babies.
SPEAKER_02I'm ready to go.
SPEAKER_01Let's get into it.
SPEAKER_02Okay. First word. Uh oh my god. Onesie.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, that's let's go. Come on, okay. I hate that you're gonna be. Shit. What if I guys? I need to drink some water. Wait a minute. Don't click the next one. I gotta drink.
SPEAKER_02So isn't this how you see words, anyways?
SPEAKER_01You can't keep that in there.
SPEAKER_02Is that a f no, I'm being serious.
SPEAKER_01No, that's not how bad it is.
SPEAKER_02I'm not trying to be rude. I mean, I thought that's what this dyslexia was. No. Next word, okay. Ooh.
SPEAKER_01Uh um, vagina. Is it really vagina? Guys, why do I suck at this?
SPEAKER_02Oh, this okay. I thought the game was slightly different, so I actually don't mind this game.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Well, now I'm worried.
SPEAKER_02Uh repaid. It's just what it says, but like one letter.
SPEAKER_01Um that's how people that dyslexic fuck diaper.
SPEAKER_02Baby, you're too worried about you gotta lock in on the game.
SPEAKER_01But my dyslexic mind read it as diaper. We can't put that in there. I don't want to offend the dyslexic community.
SPEAKER_02Well, if you have dyslexia, you are part of the community.
SPEAKER_01Who are you offending? People I don't know. People are gonna be like, They think you're faking?
SPEAKER_02Are you is this stolen dollar? Are you not really dyslexic?
SPEAKER_01It's not. I was testing it.
SPEAKER_02Okay, well then you're good. Ooh, uh, stroller.
SPEAKER_01How are you so good at this?
SPEAKER_02I I I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I'm like really concerned right now because I haven't gotten one.
SPEAKER_02Sorry, baby.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. I like this game.
SPEAKER_02Okay, this is not too bad.
SPEAKER_01Okay, gosh. Yeah. Pacifier.
SPEAKER_02Ooh, okay. Thank God. There we go. I didn't get that one at all.
SPEAKER_01Um, Dad.
SPEAKER_02It just says dad at the end. Uh oh, dude, this one's hard.
SPEAKER_01Hmm.
SPEAKER_02I don't know.
SPEAKER_01S uh sla.
SPEAKER_02I actually don't know this one. This one's tough. I'm thinking of baby products. Birth. Things related to birth. Do you not know this one? Do we give up? Can we get a hint?
SPEAKER_01I'm not giving up because I can't give up because I actually just have to get it before you do. I'm so far behind. I only have one, babe.
SPEAKER_02Oh, sure, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, sure.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay. I was already thinking that.
SPEAKER_01Sluath. I honestly don't know. Swaddle.
SPEAKER_02Swallow? Swaddle. Swaddle. Oh. Okay, you're coming back.
SPEAKER_01Hmm. Um Labor. Oh, good one.
SPEAKER_02Let's go.
SPEAKER_01Formula.
SPEAKER_02Damn.
SPEAKER_01I feel like I'm back at the spelling.
SPEAKER_02My bad, hold up. I gotta lock in.
SPEAKER_01You might have to spell it.
SPEAKER_02I was feeling bad, so I stopped like locking in, but now that you're you're coming back, I gotta lock in.
SPEAKER_01You're still way ahead.
SPEAKER_02Ooh, uh pregnancy. Uh eight uh teething.
SPEAKER_01Okay, we get Bib. Uh no. Crib. Crib birth.
SPEAKER_02Oh, it's just backwards. Berth. We tied on that one, I think, but maybe you got that one. We'll give it to you.
SPEAKER_01Blanket.
SPEAKER_02Ooh, okay. You might be winning now. Hold up.
SPEAKER_01No, there's no way, babe. Um cravings.
SPEAKER_02Cravings. Uh thermometer. Something mother.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's what I thought too. It's like mother.
SPEAKER_02It was thermometer? Oh my god. Okay. Let's go. Wait, what's the score?
SPEAKER_01I don't even know, but Crawford won. There was literally like 15 and I only got four.
SPEAKER_02We gotta buy the stroller now.
SPEAKER_01Thank God I memorized your Amex.
SPEAKER_02That was fun. I like that game.
SPEAKER_01I like that too, but I hate that I lost. That might be the first word game that you've beat me at.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And I don't know how I feel about that.
SPEAKER_02We haven't played too many words games.
SPEAKER_01Like it's to the point where I feel like I need to send you anagrams right now on the phone to make myself feel. When we would play Cut Pong when we first started dating, and you would always win these like games like on the iPhone, I would always send the word game because those were the only ones that I could watch.
SPEAKER_02I don't think I want any of those, to be honest. It was bad.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02The only word game I'm B snat is Scrabble because I kind of like cheat the system by like Yeah, I know. Like finding the right three-letter words. Like the doubles or the triples or like I'll put like small words in the right areas and get maximum points.
SPEAKER_01Everybody hates it. Work smarter, not harder, you know.
SPEAKER_02Work smarter, not harder. And then people are trying to add to my word, it's like so short. It's nothing to add to.
SPEAKER_01They're like, what the heck do I add to like a fun game?
SPEAKER_02If you guys like the games we play, we've been having a lot of fun playing games on the podcast. Uh shout out to Alyssa for for putting that one together. And if you guys enjoy the games, we'll we'll keep playing them.

SPEAKER_01Join the High Baby Club.
SPEAKER_02Well, the High Baby Club. Well, basically, at the end of the day, we got this baby. I believe in us.
SPEAKER_01I know that everything will be fine once baby's here, and the thing is, is Amazon Prime exists now. Well, I say this. Next day delivery exists. So as long as everything's in stock, we'll be fine.
SPEAKER_02Well, I say this all the time. Billions of people have done it before us. With a lot less. With a lot less. So um we keep we got this and we're gonna figure it out. Yeah. And we're gonna give this baby the same. That's a good way.
SPEAKER_01That's a good thing to end on. If for anyone else that's pregnant out there or is going through raising kids, just remember if you need a little pick-me-up, billions of people have done it before with a whole lot of less.
SPEAKER_02And you got it.
SPEAKER_01And we got it.
SPEAKER_02And we got it, yeah.
