Hi Baby
Welcome to our “family-friendly(ish)” podcast - really just a love letter in audio form. It’s our sometimes-chaotic diary of this journey, capturing the cravings, worries, wins, and 2am thoughts through honest conversations, humor, and a little oversharing.
Part podcast, part time capsule - and just family-friendly…ish.
Hi Baby
We Have New Roommates...
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
This week we discuss our new roommate situation... and play "He's a 10 but..." it gets intense! haha hope you enjoy!
We expected on a third roommate coming in, but we actually have three more roommates coming in. It's a lot to take in.
SPEAKER_02Damn, why'd I do that? But it's not like I'm intentionally doing it.
SPEAKER_00Now you're lying. What you wanna suck on my boob too or what?
SPEAKER_02I can't be with someone who's ashamed of me.
SPEAKER_00It would give me the ick hardcores.
SPEAKER_02This is the first I'm hearing.
SPEAKER_00It's actually sorry, disgusting.
SPEAKER_02That was like manipulation at that point.
SPEAKER_00That's the worst advice ever.
SPEAKER_02Hi baby. You are currently 31 weeks and you are the size of a what did they say? Asparagus?
SPEAKER_00No, a large large bundle of asparagus.
SPEAKER_02They're just making this up, man. A large bundle of asparagus.
SPEAKER_00Or or a coconut.
SPEAKER_02Who's making these lists, bro? What like a large bundle? Uh okay, I guess.
SPEAKER_00What if your job was to come up with that?
SPEAKER_02Ain't nobody getting paid to do that.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02If they are, I want that job.
SPEAKER_00Um, I know that we expected on a third roommate coming in.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But we actually have three more. Three more roommates coming in.
SPEAKER_02Not only is our we only got two bedrooms. I know, but three people.
SPEAKER_00We have our son, but we also now have my mom and dad.
SPEAKER_02Let's go.
SPEAKER_00Jim and Maggie are officially moving back in.
SPEAKER_02Let's go.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. It's a lot to take in. One, very grateful because obviously I love my parents. They watched the podcast, so they're gonna hear everything we say about them right now.
SPEAKER_02So only say good things. So we'll only say things. No, we always say good things. They're amazing.
SPEAKER_00We'll only say good things. Um, but they I have I asked my mom specifically to nest with us. And nesting is kind of if you don't know, like where you it's almost like a quarantine, I feel like is like a good way to put it. Like, you know, like how back in COVID, like you and your roommates kind of like had to quarantine for a bit together before seeing anyone.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00That's kind of what nesting is like once you give birth. Like you kind of do it a little bit before birth and then you do it a little bit after birth. And my mom and dad are going to be a part of our nest. And we're so eternally grateful. Thank you, Jim. Thank you, Maggie. We're very grateful for wanting to be a part of our nest and being like our support system. I know that like it's gonna be really helpful when you know times are tough, the baby won't stop crying, we might just want some extra sleep. Um, and then I think about what it was like when my parents lived in my apartment before they moved out and retired. And I feel like I have to give myself like mantras where I'm like, they're here to help. They're here to help. And kind of remind myself that even though they can be um, for lack of better words, a little annoying to me. Um, I mean, I feel like that's normal with your parents, you know, like you just kind of get into like a uh that's mom and dad, like whatever. Um I don't even know how to talk about it because I know that they're gonna watch this.
SPEAKER_02Well, I feel like normally it's like the other way around where it's like your parents are moving in. No, no, if your parents are moving in, I'm like, oh my god, like are you sure? But to be honest, I'm really easygoing, so I'm actually looking forward to it. Your mom makes great food, your dad and me will watch some sports.
SPEAKER_00The thing is, is I feel like if you were to list it, the pros outweigh the cons.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But I'm just such okay, this is how I put I don't know if this is bad to say about myself, and you can tell me, but I hate mess when it's not my mess.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I could tell. She's like that with me too.
SPEAKER_00Like when Crawford makes the house dry.
SPEAKER_02No, no, she's so funny. No, this is you want to get into this? Should we get into this? Yeah, dude. Okay, so I have a habit. I'm not like a messy person, but I have a habit of leaving things like maybe clothes out or like something here that maybe doesn't belong there. Like I'm not like throwing trash everywhere, but I might like No, you don't do that. She'll come in the room and she'll be like, Crawford, you you have clothes all over the room. I keep finding clothes, and then I'll look around, and there'll be like five pieces of her clothes in different parts of the room. In different parts of the room.
SPEAKER_00Now you're lying. So I'm like, okay. Now you're lying.
SPEAKER_02I'm like, listen, obviously, I don't mind cleaning them up. I got you.
SPEAKER_00My love, I love you. But the difference between my clothes being on the floor is that I would have just changed, and Crawford's clothes have progressively built over the week. And it's not even that. We've already discussed this online somewhere, but you also have a habit of leaving drawers open.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I love to leave drawers open.
SPEAKER_00And so not only does like clothes are sprawled out on the floors, you can't even close the drawers.
SPEAKER_02I'm not trying to diagnose myself, so I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if I have ADHD because what happens is I'll go to like get something out of the cupboard, and by the time I get it out, like let's say I'm getting a bowl, my next thought is like, what am I putting in the bowl? Like, I don't know what it is. There's like a like a break between like, and then I come back later and there'll be like three things open. I'm like, damn, why'd I do that? But it's not like I'm yeah, intentionally doing it, I just honestly don't know.
SPEAKER_00The and the thing is the drawers thing I have come to love about you. Because and that's why, like, I like you don't understand that with you, bib, if that was like any other random person I had lived with before or my parents, I would have been through the room. I'm so so I like well, just some most of the times I just clean it up, and like there'll be times that the week where I'm like, hey, actually, I've already done this for you once. Do you mind doing it later?
SPEAKER_02Listen, I need to know if anyone else leaves drawers open. I'm getting better at it. I'm getting slightly better at it.
SPEAKER_00But now it's become a thing that I love because I'm like, oh, Crawford is. Yeah, I do it for you, man. No, you don't.
SPEAKER_02I leave them open for you because I'm like, you know, I could close this drawer right now, or Natalie can see this drawer.
SPEAKER_00Crawford's about to go on like uh on a trip right now, and before you leave, you're just gonna leave every cabinet.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_00Um no, but going back to me being really annoyed with other people's messes in my space, it makes me really anxious for when my parents get here because I'm already having to get through the mental hurdle of like, okay, baby's stuff is going to be everywhere. And there's nothing I can do about that, and that is completely normal. And it is okay for your house. No, but like, you know, even you know me, I don't even like it.
SPEAKER_02No, the baby's gotta clean the stuff.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and by baby, that's gonna be me.
SPEAKER_02I know you can't walk and you can't talk, but you better clean it up.
SPEAKER_00Exactly.
SPEAKER_02What if he leaves the cupboards open? Think about it.
SPEAKER_00That's like when when like um, you know that that scene in grown-ups and the grandma farts and she blames it on the dog, and it's just very adamant. It's very adamant that it was her. Um, no. I just like, and I never want to be that like, you know, those like uh they call them beige moms because they make sure that they buy everything in aesthetic color so that way if it's left out, yeah, it doesn't really bother them as much. But I don't want to be that like I want our kids to just like be able to have what they like. And so I've been mentally preparing for their mess, but now I have to mentally prepare on top of the baby's mess for my parents. They're not messy, it's just like obviously when you add two more people to uh a place, they just accumulate stuff like that.
SPEAKER_02You like your things where they are, and you don't like other people's things in your space.
SPEAKER_00I don't like other people's things anywhere near me.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so essentially like we talked about my clothes specifically, but um, she's like, This is your room too, and you have clothes in here. Yeah, yeah, I don't think your parents are particularly messy the same way I'm not gonna be able to do it.
SPEAKER_00No, and like my mom is so clean, like I get it from my mom because she would always nag on me for being like you never clean. And so when I moved out of the house, I was uber clean because like I just subconsciously watched her do that all the time, and it made me subconsciously always want to keep like a I think that like for me, because I'm so stressed with like work, that if I can keep my house clean, at least like the the physical around me is like in order. Whereas like then I just have to worry about the mess in my head. So now that I'm gonna have to be worried about the mess in my head and the mess in real life, it's gonna be a really hard struggle for me. But overall, obviously when we have those that that night that we take off, and my parents are watching baby for an hour or two, I'm gonna be so grateful they're there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and they're coming all the way from the Philippines.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so my parents are retired, they don't live in America anymore. Um, so it's not like this is like an easy move for them. They're also putting a lot of work into this, so it's like not something that's going like unappreciated. Um it's just, you know, I think every couple can relate to like if you had to move in with like your spouse's parents, it's like it's definitely just an adjustment. I feel like is the best way to say it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's gonna be tough too because we only have two rooms and they're technically moving into my stream room.
SPEAKER_00So yeah, like if I don't stream me and Crawford have a space that would be considered big for just the both of us, yeah. But when we moved into this place, a baby was not in mind, and like on top of that, having my parents be here for a couple months was also not in mind.
SPEAKER_02Does anyone else want to move in? We got space.
SPEAKER_00Oh god, we we don't have space, but I guess you could come at this point.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna invite my parents, we'll we'll just have a big party.
SPEAKER_00I can't imagine having your whole family in sleeping in our like that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I know my parents would have loved to do the same thing, but they have uh I have a little brother who's uh who's six years old, so that would have been a lot tougher for them.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, but yeah, Jim and Maggie, if you're watching this.
SPEAKER_02We're excited to have you.
SPEAKER_00We're excited to have you. It's very it's coming up very close. It is well, technically, when this comes out, they'll already be here.
SPEAKER_02They'll be here when this episode comes out, yeah.
SPEAKER_00So we might even be sitting on my couch right now watching it together. Um, but we'll see how that pans out. Anything nice to say them while they're watching? Um, I love you. Uh I have a lot of nice things to say, but now that I'm also pregnant, I'll just start crying.
SPEAKER_02Okay. So no more, no nice things saying.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, exactly. But I love you guys.
SPEAKER_02We're excited, thank you. We're we appreciate that a lot because I know they're coming across the world to come help us out.
SPEAKER_00So yeah.
SPEAKER_02Are you crying, baby?
SPEAKER_00Trying not to, but okay.
SPEAKER_02Um we wanna know.
SPEAKER_00We're we can't skip past.
SPEAKER_02I like the games, you know. Maybe we can get into the games.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but babe, you're gonna love this next topic.
SPEAKER_02Okay, what's the next topic?
SPEAKER_00Because it's all about you, baby.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay, let's go. What's up?
SPEAKER_00Why did you decide to become this sexy beast?
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay. And the most this is public, you know, that's right.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah. Sorry. Um, why did you decide to get the most fit in your entire life when I got pregnant?
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_00And I feel like this is like a common universal thing because I've seen a couple TikToks of other pregnant women being like, when your husband decides to become like Thor once you get pregnant, and you I'm gonna tell you exactly why. Like, I feel like a lot of women when they're going through pregnancy feel like probably the worst about themselves, and then their partners are just like, I'm gonna get jacked.
SPEAKER_02Okay, but this speaking for myself and even just other dads I've talked to, because obviously we have a lot of friends who recently um got on their finished journey. So I started the journey before I knew you were pregnant, just because you know You you did do the first part of the journey. Yeah, the first part I just you know wasn't mentally. I feel like I was like not feeling the best about where I was at, and also just low energy and a lot of different things.
SPEAKER_00So there was maybe you subconsciously knew I was pregnant, and that's why you did it.
SPEAKER_02Honestly, no, funny enough, I mean, I hate giving him credit, but JC inspired me to start my finished journey because he did something similar, also goes into my next thing. Is I feel like a lot of dads do that because when you realize you're gonna be a father, and I I can say for myself, like I want to not only be in the best shape to live long for my my son or my child, uh, and obviously I'm having a son, but on top of that, I want to be a good example, I want to be the best version of myself, I want to have my son look up to me and be proud that I'm his dad. So I think for me, a lot of it stems from like You want to be a Delph.
SPEAKER_00No, yes, that's what it is. How did you get that?
SPEAKER_02I'm trying to say something like sentimental, like, um It's okay. Well, we did this thing. JC ran the LA Marathon the other day, and uh we did this cool thing. We did dinner with a bunch of people running, he invited us too, and uh, we did this cool exercise where it was like um write down your name, um your something that you think about or want someone to tell you when you're having a bad day or feeling bad, and then what your goal for the year is. And what I wrote down for like someone, what I'd want someone to say to me when I'm having a bad day was make your son proud. Because I just think like for me, my dad was my hero, and he's the coolest man in the world. Shout out John. Shout out John. He's literally the the growing up, I looked up to him so much, and he's literally nothing he couldn't do, and he was so confident, and he was so just good at everything, and played sports and owned multiple companies, and just did a lot of really great, really cool things. And you know, I looked up to him, and now that I'm becoming a dad, part of it is the finisher, and he's just I want to be the best version of myself. So my son looks up to me and is like, oh, my dad's pretty cool. Because I would hate, I would hate to uh You're also saying looked.
SPEAKER_00I think you still look up to your dad though.
SPEAKER_02I was like, look up to my dad, yeah. Yeah. Well, I've always looked up to my dad. Look up to my dad.
SPEAKER_00I know so I I just didn't want you someone to misinterpret.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, what I mean is like, um, like to this day, he's still my hero. So yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. You just want to do the same. I feel like I'm acting a little more monotone about this because if I don't, I'll cry.
SPEAKER_02Well I feel like a lot of dads feel the same way where it's like, you know, you have a different reason beyond yourself for for wanting to be better and wanting to take care of yourself. So obviously the the finished journey started with me wanting to be the best version of myself for me. Yeah. And then when I found out I was gonna be a dad, it just kind of times that by ten, really. You know, so like it gave me that much more fuel to be like, oh, I I wanna it's not even about like being I I've said this on video, it's like it's not about like I wanna look the best. I honestly just feel so much better. Yeah, like I have way more energy, I feel more clear, I feel more able to do the things I need to do, whether that's work-wise or just everything I need to do. So, um, yeah, I don't know.
SPEAKER_00I don't know if that's like a long, long answer, but um Well, I'm very proud of you already, and you know, I get to reap the benefits.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, she hypes me up all the time, which I appreciate.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but I already know that her son is gonna be so proud of you too. Yeah, I think you're a cool dad.
SPEAKER_02I hope so. I've I've honestly started thinking about like, man, I need to start doing more cool stuff because I want like to be able to tell my son like all the stuff I did and teach him all these things, and I'm just really looking forward to that, honestly.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I agree.
SPEAKER_02I want to be what my dad was to me, to my son. So my dad is to me. I don't know why I keep saying it. Sean is still very well here, and very I I look up to him very much, and he's um the best dad I could ever ask for. So well I'm thinking I'm talking to pastor because I'm thinking about me as a child like that. No, yeah, it still has an impact on me today, but just how much impact growing up that had on me. So yeah, it's nothing about like I do I do think that's funny that like all the women are like mad, like, what the hell? But it's not about um Yeah, what's going on, bro?
SPEAKER_00I'm like over here, like you're trying to cheat on me or something.
SPEAKER_02Maybe not at all.
SPEAKER_00No, I don't think that at all.
SPEAKER_02You know, I'm trying to be strong for for our family and our son. Yeah, gotta protect him. Huh? Gotta protect our kid.
SPEAKER_00You do.
SPEAKER_02Gotta start taking like jujitsu or something. I've been watching all those funny uh what is it? Is it jujitsu, the one where you all you're only on the ground? There's those memes of the guys like if uh someone tries to like flirt with my girlfriend, but the dude does jujitsu and he gets it on all fours and starts like crawling towards him. Have you seen that? No, oh my god, you have to watch it. Super random.
SPEAKER_00Well, I'm glad that you'll be able to protect our son on all fours.
SPEAKER_02No, that's not event, but um yeah.
SPEAKER_00Okay, well I hope that answered the question.
SPEAKER_02That was I was kind of over the place, but no, I think you had a great answer.
SPEAKER_00I guess you get um the pass with that answer.
SPEAKER_02But I would encourage everybody, man.
SPEAKER_00Like And you know what? I guess that makes you a 10.
SPEAKER_02A 10? Oh, on our next in our next seven. Is that a really bad segue? Before we segue to that great say segue. Uh I just want to say, like, I know a lot of people, I've been getting a lot of comments since I started doing the fitness thing. Um man, just honestly, I get like looking good feels good, but more than anything, you'll feel so much more clear mentally, and you'll feel so much happier and feel so much more motivated. So if you're thinking about starting a fitness journey, I'd say do it and do it for those reasons more than anything else.
SPEAKER_00So yeah, and if you're uh going through pregnancy or just gave birth, I have a cheeto in my mouth already.
SPEAKER_02Baby, you look great.
SPEAKER_00Can you have a partner that's doing this thing and you're sitting there eating Cheetos while they get fit? Just know that that's okay too.
SPEAKER_02I got a new answer. The reason I'm doing it is I gotta keep up with you, baby.
unknownThank you.
SPEAKER_00Thanks. I know. But off of my really great segue that you are a 10, do you wanna let them know what we're playing?
SPEAKER_02Alright, guys, we're gonna play another fun game. You guys know I love the games. After talking about something more serious, now we're getting into something fun. Uh, we're gonna play he's a ten, but okay, so we have a list of things that So he's a 10. He's a 10, but he does this thing. And then we're gonna give a rating after?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Like, is he still a 10 after? Is he still a ten or what's right? So like where does he rank after this butt?
SPEAKER_02Is this more me asking you, or am I giving mine?
SPEAKER_00No, I think that we can go back and forth.
SPEAKER_02Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_00But you should give the first one while I put a Cheeto in my mouth again.
unknownAlright.
SPEAKER_02What's the one? You got the first one. You ready?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Are you ready?
SPEAKER_00He's a 10 but what, baby?
SPEAKER_02Okay, he's a 10, but his best friend's a girl.
SPEAKER_00This is my thing.
SPEAKER_02Sounds like there's some trauma in that.
SPEAKER_00No. I just don't think that like I understand. Alessandry, these from your personal experience again. She admitted last time that the cheating ones. Yes, the cheating ones said they were her personal experience.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_00Um, no, they aren't, right?
SPEAKER_02Some of them maybe.
unknownMost, no.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Um, we won't say which ones are this time. Um this is the thing, is you have I feel like you kind of have a girl best friend. Like I would consider like Chelsea, like Chelsea and Freiner like your girl best friends. And I wouldn't the the way I see you guys interact with each other, I would never suspect anything. And there obviously isn't anything going on. But I have seen firsthand some of my girlfriends have these boyfriends, and they're boyfriends. It's just like, why do you have more girlfriends than you do guy friends? Is that like and the but the thing is it's so subjective because I don't know, yeah, it's uh listen.
SPEAKER_02I think I know this is like it sounds like a cop-out answer, but it genuinely is true. It really depends on the person. Because some people be using that as an excuse. And some people like really are just close friends with someone.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And so really, if you can trust if you can trust that person, I think it's fine.
SPEAKER_00How would you feel like if I was going to meet like like how I went to get coffee with Sam? Sam is my Sam's my best friend, but he's gay. But if you knew he was straight, and I spent like I left the house at 7 p.m. and we stayed at the coffee shop till like 10 30 p.m. just talking because we were just talking about life and catching up as well, like does that make you wouldn't would that make you feel weird after if you knew he was straight?
SPEAKER_02Listen, I am not gonna lie to you, I'm pretty good at reading people and I've I after one or two times of hanging out with you guys together, I'd be able to tell what his intentions were. So if I felt like, oh, you know, there's nothing, no bad intentions, I wouldn't care.
SPEAKER_00So I'm assuming that this his girl best friend is kind of like giving me sus vibes, because why else would you write it? Yeah. So he's a 10, but he's really a two. No, okay.
SPEAKER_02You're just assuming that no, it just it it could be either one.
SPEAKER_00Babe. If it was the other one, it wouldn't even be written.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. Not to be like that person, but I've I've never been wrong when someone's like, oh, this is my best friend, or this is my friend. And you know, you know when you gotta like you can tell someone's uh intentions are wrong, and you always find out later you're right.
SPEAKER_00I'll say this.
SPEAKER_02You always find out later you're right. You're not relate to that.
SPEAKER_00I had an I have an ex. Not I had an ex. Yeah. He had a lot of girlfriends. Yeah. And now that we broke up, the same girl that told me that I was too good for him, he's with.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I've had experiences with past exes that I literally they were like, oh, this is just my friend, whatever.
SPEAKER_00And then that's who they end up with after.
SPEAKER_02No, but not even that, like the guy later down the line, a lot of the time it wasn't even the person I was with being malicious, but later, like, oh yeah, he tried to make a move on me. It's like, I told you. I was like, I could tell from the way he interacted with her that his intentions were wrong. So not my ex's intentions, but the intentions of the wrong thing.
SPEAKER_00Usually your gut feeling isn't wrong. And if you have a gut feeling about that girlfriend, he's a two.
SPEAKER_02There's a lot of things that have been wrong about my life, but when it comes to that stuff, I've never been wrong.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I will say that.
SPEAKER_00So as long as you let's say I've been in denial and like pushed it aside.
SPEAKER_02So as long as it's someone let's move on to the next one. We we're kind of keep going, but to say if it's someone I know that like I can tell nothing's there, it's a 10. I don't care. But if it's someone where I can tell, it's a zero.
SPEAKER_00So when I bring my bestie Justin Bieber to the house.
SPEAKER_02You don't know you. Okay, move on.
SPEAKER_00I want to know him.
SPEAKER_02He's a 10, but his mom still does everything for him. Book appoint books appointments, laundry, dishes.
SPEAKER_00Zero. I I hate someone. I don't even mind that you're a mama's boy to it's when you're a mama's boy to like over the extent.
SPEAKER_02No, at that point you're just a child.
SPEAKER_00You're just a child, and like I what you want to suck on my boob too, or what?
SPEAKER_02Yo.
SPEAKER_00It's a zero. It's so unattractive to me when like guys are still like I'm like, how are you 30?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's crazy.
SPEAKER_00Fucking calling your mom talking about some. Hey, did you make my doctor's appointment? What do you mean? What do you mean? Yeah, I made your made your colonoscopy appointment. Like you're gonna like at 30, you get colonoscopies or whatever.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. No, I think it's crazy. There's a lot of people like that for sure. Hey, guys, if you're out there watching this, you gotta handle your own shit.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, learn to grow up.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00If you're like And if you're a mom and you're enabling that, listen, I know you love your baby, but you gotta let him blame the moms. You can't blame the moms. Babe, if I was still doing that to our son at 30, you would even tell me. You'd be like, Natalie.
SPEAKER_02No, forget 30. If he's like 21 and you're still doing all that, I'm saying like that. I think you get a you get a pass until you're like 21. I get it. As long as you're trying to like do more of those things yourself, you get a pass. But if you're still asking for that, like any above that, yeah. So zero?
SPEAKER_00Zero. Damn.
SPEAKER_02This might be this might this might hurt some feelings out there.
SPEAKER_00That is so unattractive to me.
SPEAKER_02This might hurt some feelings.
SPEAKER_00I mean, what would you rate it?
SPEAKER_02Oh, I would rate it pretty low.
SPEAKER_00I mean Crawford's over here, like you're gonna offend some people, but I would also rate it low.
SPEAKER_02No, I mean, I think I here's the thing. I think a lot of those little things is what separates someone who's immature versus someone who's like grown-up, really. So it's like it doesn't mean they're a bad person. It just maybe means And I'm not saying you can't love your mom and like want to talk to her every day. If if you're with someone who's doing that and you expect them to be, you know, mature in all the other areas you need them to be, they're probably not gonna be if they're still relying on their mom to do all that stuff for them. Agreed. That's what I'd say. Doesn't mean they're bad people. It just means it means that you're zero to prominence.
SPEAKER_00Level zero.
SPEAKER_02Level zero. Um, okay. So we're at zero and zero.
SPEAKER_00No, I put two for the first one.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I put I put ten or zero, depending on the situation for the first one. Okay. He's a ten, but refuses to post you on social media. Zero. Let me elaborate, because I was a little um I took a while before I put it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I was gonna say, wait, like there's but then I I think that we have to think of it in the terms of like he's you're not keeping it private, you're keeping it secret.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because for me, I wanted to make sure it was like for sure, for sure, before I like bring everybody watching into a relationship.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, of course. I think that there's a like a like talking like a weekend and the girl's like, why aren't you posting me? I'm be like, girl, I've known you for a week.
SPEAKER_02Also, like if if your Instagram is just like for your friends and family and you're refusing to post, like you know those girls who are like filming the meal and then cut off the guy's head and stuff, it's like bro, and like it's just your friends and family on there, like who are you hiding that from?
SPEAKER_00If they're afraid to show you to your friends and family, that's that's a bad, it's a bad you already don't see future with me, so are we together? Yeah, I understand when people have like you know I'd say I'd give him like look, he's on attractiveness, I'm not sure. He but he's like three.
SPEAKER_02So let me ask you a question. What if I never because obviously it's a little different in my situation?
SPEAKER_00Well, like, are you are you being secretive about it or are we being like private? Like your parents still know me, but like Yeah, yeah, that's what I mean.
SPEAKER_02Like I said, that's different, you know.
SPEAKER_00Like if we decided to just be like more private, yeah, I understand that.
SPEAKER_02But like if you're if you're hiding from friends and family, that's a difference.
SPEAKER_00It'd be different if like you never even brought me around. Like, no. That's crazy. Um three.
SPEAKER_02Three. I'm gonna go because I'm I'm switching this to she's a 10 butt on my end. Oh, okay. Okay, I'm gonna go probably zero. I can't be with someone who's uh like ashamed of me or doesn't want to share me with their friends or family. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, also some people are gonna be have their feelings hurt in this video. But I swear he loves he says that his grandma knows. I swear he's great.
SPEAKER_02I'm sorry to tell you, it ain't looking good. Hopefully, we can help some people with this.
SPEAKER_00Like I said, you can be in denial if you know you're being in denial.
SPEAKER_02As someone, if you're if you're a little younger, as someone who's pushing 30, take my advice for it. If if your man is doing any of these things so far, it ain't looking good.
SPEAKER_00Probably not your man.
SPEAKER_02It ain't looking good. He's a 10, but still keeps every love letter gift his exes gave him.
SPEAKER_00Every single one.
SPEAKER_02He got him up on the wall.
SPEAKER_00You wanna know what's so funny? My mom does this thing where like she kept a photo of my dad's ex-girlfriend.
SPEAKER_02Oh, you told me.
SPEAKER_00And my mom's like, Matt, why would you tell me that?
SPEAKER_02No, but he didn't even keep it.
SPEAKER_00My dad didn't even keep it. My mom fucking kept that shit, and she brings it up like once in the blue moon, and be like, be like, Nat, look at your dad's ex-girlfriend. Why did you and then she'll be like, Do you think I'm pretty? Which, if you're a girl, like it's just so real, like, like, oh my god, like looking for the validation, and I and of course I'm like, Yes, mom. And but it's just so funny. And my dad is always like, I don't know why you keep that around, Maggie.
SPEAKER_02Dude, that is true though. This is a true thing.
SPEAKER_00It's a true thing. Um, no, yeah, that's a little if they're keeping everything. Like, when I go through a breakup, the first thing I do is I start ripping shit up, and I'm like, fuck you. And I'm so like the fact that like you're still keeping it makes me think that you're if you're keeping everything, there's still like a okay.
SPEAKER_02Let me elaborate because I know this is more of a controversial one. Because I understand like if you're keeping like really intimate love letters, that's definitely a red flag.
SPEAKER_00But like, what do you think of people like who keep or keeping like I have kept I think it's it becomes different when it's like materialistic. Like you said, I've like I've kept smart like um sunglasses that are like yeah, I think if it's something nice, jewelry, like if a guy buys me like a nice necklace and it's got a diamond on it, I'm keeping that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but I don't know.
SPEAKER_00What if it's got his initial It's diamonds, but it says his name still.
SPEAKER_02I'm like uh it's like babe, it's expensive. I can't throw this out. Um I have kind of like a in-between on this. I think if it's really like intimate stuff, I think why why you want to keep that? But if it's like someone bought you like uh Chanel Bay. Are you gonna throw that out? No.
SPEAKER_00The thing is, is maybe sell it. I don't even mind if like you kept like let's say like you got written like a birthday card from that person. If you're just keeping the one birthday card and it's in like a memory box, what are you keeping? It's fine. I actually will say this since I'm buying some stuff out here on the bike. I I I have um at least a note or a love letter from every ex I've had since middle school.
SPEAKER_02No, no, no, but this is the first I'm hearing this.
SPEAKER_00Listen to this since middle school.
SPEAKER_02Why you gotta keep that?
SPEAKER_00Because I think it's funny, because especially the ones from high school and middle school, I open up and I like laugh because I'm like, how was how was I in middle school at at 12? And this guy is like, we got to hold hands today.
SPEAKER_02Okay, but that's kinda that's kinda cute. That's kind of cute. That's what I'm saying. But if it's from like like two years ago, yeah, and you were an adult, I don't think that's as cute.
SPEAKER_00No, yeah, it's probably not as cute.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, if it's from like middle school, then I don't think that's that's a red flag. Or not a red flag.
SPEAKER_00I have like five memory boxes, and when I go through them, I'll find some of those letters, and like, you know what's crazy is like the house she's gone through on this is if they are pretty recent, I'll be like, Oh, I need to throw this away. But there are some that I find like from a long time ago where I'm like, this is now funny, and I'm like, I need to keep this.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think I used to be a lot more like strict on this topic than I am now. At the end of the day, it's like it's just stuff for the most part, but yeah, there's definitely like a line where it's like okay.
SPEAKER_00I agree. So, what's the number?
SPEAKER_02We gotta give a number because we're just yapping. We love to yapping. Can't tell.
SPEAKER_00Honestly, like maybe even like a two. It would definitely be something I start a fight about.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, if it's every love letter and gift, then it's it's probably like a five for me. It's not the end of the world, but I it's like if it's every love letter and every gift, like what are these gifts too, like that you're keeping? Like on the flip side, like if a guy got you like um I don't know, what are girls like? The Dyson Air wrap. I'm not gonna tell you to throw it out. Yeah, yeah. Like that shit was expensive. Keep that. Yeah, yeah, like hell no. Those are, dude, as someone who almost had to buy one, I've had guys like designer person.
SPEAKER_00No, you don't like their glasses. I didn't throw in that shit.
SPEAKER_02You throw it out, I gotta buy it. Exactly.
SPEAKER_00So keep that, please. Exactly.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so he's a 10, but he calls his parents mommy and daddy.
SPEAKER_00Oh, is he like like like if you I've already hear you call like Stacy and John like mommy? Yeah, zero.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's pretty crazy. Because that yeah, no, it'll be different when you call yourself like daddy when you're talking to our son, when and you're like, say dada, or like yeah, but dad and daddy are are different, but I think the thing about daddy is it never used to be weird. It's just people now have made that like Yeah, I've ruined it. Because it came from a place of being very sweet.
SPEAKER_00It is. I don't know why they tainted it.
SPEAKER_02A bunch of weirdos decided to taint it.
SPEAKER_00So whenever I still I'll still call my dad sometimes daddy, and that's his name in my phone, but that's like it's not weird to me because like that's what I called him my entire life, and it didn't have a fucked up meaning to it until the fucking sick world we live in did that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so I don't think it's that's a red flag. I think that's fine. I mean, if you're 20 no something years old, do it. I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That one's tough for me.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna just it's also it's also weirder when it's the guy. Sorry.
SPEAKER_02So what out of 10 then?
SPEAKER_00Probably it would give me the ick hardcore. So like three. Three that's me being generous because like if that's the only thing wrong with you, I'll deal with it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't think that's like it's definitely not a 10. It's definitely like you're kind of like, why are you still doing that?
SPEAKER_00But I would have to talk to you about like, hey, maybe we just call them mom and dad.
unknownMom and dad.
SPEAKER_02Uh okay. He's a 10, but only post me on his close friends.
SPEAKER_00This is kind of similar to the other one, but at least you're getting posted. But imagine, like, you know, those people that only have one person on the almost gives me red play because I do feel like I'd rather you just not post me.
SPEAKER_02No, because I do feel like people do that where they like post the person on their close friends so they think that they're sharing with their friends, but then they take everyone off their close friends.
SPEAKER_00Like how it's almost like so toxic.
SPEAKER_02It's almost like manipulation at that point.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna say for me, this is a three again.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I have two different perspectives coming from someone who isn't in the spotlight. I I understand why right away people wouldn't maybe want to make their relationship public to like everybody, but when it comes to friends and family, I think if your friends and family are actually on your close friends, you're a little higher.
SPEAKER_00But I just feel like no one really uses their close friends for their close friends and family anymore. So it's the red flag. It's like, why are you ashamed of me?
SPEAKER_02You know why you know?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I it almost just feels like.
SPEAKER_02I understand if it's only a week or two in, or maybe a month or two, but after a certain point. At a certain point, it becomes like okay. Here's a good question. At what point is that a problem? Because obviously, week one, week two, a month in, I understand.
SPEAKER_00You posted me before I posted you.
SPEAKER_02So you weren't even sure about me before that, huh?
SPEAKER_00No, but I but yeah, I remember you made a comment about it too. Um, like you said something when I when I finally posted you. Damn.
SPEAKER_02Um I was like, she might be she might be ashamed of me, huh?
SPEAKER_00It wasn't even that. I was just kind of waiting to have the like right, nice picture because I wanted it to be really interesting. Yeah, that's probably what it was for me. I don't know. For me, it once I started to become more serious with you, and I was like, I want to be this guy's girlfriend, and I want to like kind of really see where this goes. Why the fuck do I care about any other guy?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but what what at what point for like in general, like not even just speaking our relationship, at what point is like that now like how many months or how many weeks before it's like oh okay, nine.
SPEAKER_00If it's been like six months and you're still not sure, that's kind of a I would even argue like three or four. I would argue that too, but I'm some people like our slow burners, so I'm gonna say six, just to like kind of three or four of you like dating. Oh, of us like being official, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Ooh, because that means you've been talking before that. Yeah, we were posting even before we're gonna be like, we got we got got by we were in the background of someone's video at Tara Yummy's party and people are like Crawford with this girl who Crawford and mystery girl. So I we got exposed even before we even told the internet.
SPEAKER_00I think that was that the first time people noticed, yeah. Yeah, and then like people put together like stuff from like New Year's. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02There's some sleuths out there, might go lie. Some FBI. Some people need to work for the FBI.
SPEAKER_00Some people shouldn't work for the FBI.
SPEAKER_02Two more, we'll do two more.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02He's a 10, but he uses Snapchat as his main form of communication.
SPEAKER_00Zero. Especially if you're in our age range, you shouldn't, you I don't I don't even have Snapchat anymore.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I feel like that's such like uh like if you go to meet someone for the first time, like yo, what's your Snapchat? That's kind of like it feels very high school.
SPEAKER_00The boys I used to babysit talk about Snapchat and they're gonna be. Snapchat still popping like that for high school and middle school, it's like the best thing, I guess. But not me. To me, if you did that to me, I would literally think you're in high school.
SPEAKER_02That's true.
SPEAKER_00So I'm gonna go with honestly, like one.
SPEAKER_02One, okay. It's better than zero. It'd be worse.
SPEAKER_00It would be honestly the fact that I would personally have to re-download Snapshot for you wants to make me say zero. But we'll put it at one.
SPEAKER_02He's a 10, but he doesn't have a job.
SPEAKER_00Like he's still like trying and ambitious, or like he's a like he's living on your couch. We know some of the things.
SPEAKER_02But he loves you a lot. He loves you so much. He just can't work right now. He's not emotionally ready to work.
SPEAKER_00I can say I first hand note a ton of men like that, and it's actually, sorry, disgusting.
SPEAKER_02That's a pen that's a pandemic in LA. There's a there's a serious pandemic. No, that's not a phone. The real pandemic in LA, if you've been here long enough, is the amount of men.
SPEAKER_00Leaching off of women.
SPEAKER_02I'm leaching off women. And I honestly think there's and before I get into how much I think that is one of the worst things you can do, I don't mean like you're trying to get a no and your girls support you. Like there's a lot of men in LA who literally go find- The only motivation they have in life is to aura farm. To aura farm and to find free rent and to not work.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and like if they're common. And the thing is, is they'll manipulate these girls, but once they realize that the girls are catching on, they find another girl with another couch, with another card that can pay for them.
SPEAKER_02But for all the kings who are who are trying, like if you're actually trying to get a job or you're building something and your girl's supporting you, that's not what I mean.
SPEAKER_00No, the thing is, is what guys don't understand is like sometimes I'm not even looking for you to like be super successful yet. I'm looking for huh looking for who well when I was in the market and obviously not anymore. But the ambition and motivation is what girls mean when they say they want someone successful, like someone driven, like who eventually will get there, but you know, isn't just is just isn't there yet, and that's fine as long as you like you know, I find it so respectable when I see someone put in the work, and I don't understand what it is with people having too much pride to put in work, and to just like they'd rather just like pretend that they're doing fine when they're like making no money, drowning in debt, living off of their girlfriend. Like, how are I'm I'm so sorry, but like what? And girls, if that is your ban, I'm gonna pray for you. I'm gonna pray for you that one day God is gonna break those chains and you're gonna be free.
SPEAKER_02These men paying rent with emotional trauma.
SPEAKER_00No, they're paying rent by manipulation. I'm sure it's not just LA, but there's And like we've said, I will reiterate this. It is specifically the men who choose not to have jobs or choose not to even apply to certain jobs because they think they're too good for them. Meanwhile, they're just sitting there or farming with the a $12 coffee that their girlfriend bought them that they can't even afford.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, their girl out going to work and they're like, hi honey, I'll be home when you get home. They're playing video games all day. Yeah, but that's the end of the segment. Um, he's a 10 butt. Let us know what what you would rank these guys.
SPEAKER_00I might be really harsh, but ladies never settle. I didn't settle, and I have this amazing man next to me.
SPEAKER_02And I'm at least a seven.
SPEAKER_00No, I didn't settle, and that's why I can proudly say that I'm with someone who is way past a 10. I love you, baby. I love you. But um know your worth.
SPEAKER_02Know your worth. That's true.
SPEAKER_00And I bet you it's way much more than you think it actually is.
SPEAKER_02All those people out there, like, you know, if if you've been single for a while, don't listen to people like maybe you have to settle. Hell no. No, what that's the worst advice ever. So listen, and this here's the thing nobody is perfect, but you should have core values and core things you do not settle on no matter what. And I think I would rather be single for the rest of my life than settle with you know certain things. So yeah, protect your peace. Protect your peace. But yeah, guys, thank you so much for watching.
