A Mouth Full Experience — Season 2 Is Here, and It’s Already a Whole New Era
Season 2 of A Mouth Full Experience kicked off on May 11, 2026, and the energy is different — louder, richer, and fueled by the hundreds of thousands of viewers and listeners who made Season 1 a cultural moment instead of just a debut.
Hosted by Kawasi Weston — simply Kawasi — and Andre Wells, the show returns with that signature blend of conversation, music, food, fashion, and identity, but now with the confidence of a platform that knows exactly who’s watching… and how many are coming back hungry for more.
Season 1 didn’t just introduce a podcast — it introduced a movement. It proved that community isn’t something you wait for; it’s something you build, brick by brick, story by story. Every episode layered intention with indulgence, intellect with flavor, and culture with craft. That’s what pulled in the audience. That’s what kept them. That’s what made the show impossible to ignore.
Kawasi brings the spark — a fusion of music, fashion, and legal insight that turns every conversation into a masterclass in ownership, authorship, and creative power. His lens is sharp, stylish, and strategic.
Wells brings the texture — fine wines, artisanal cheeses, hospitality, luxury — the kind of taste that turns a conversation into an atmosphere. He doesn’t just talk lifestyle; he curates it.
Together, they create a rhythm that feels like a late‑night rooftop conversation with the right people, the right playlist, and the right bottle open. It’s smart. It’s sensual. It’s intentional. It’s fun.
And now?
Season 2 steps in with momentum, maturity, and a bigger audience than ever — ready for deeper dives, bolder stories, and conversations that feel like you’re sitting at the table with them.
This isn’t just a show.
It’s a world.
And Season 2 is already turning the page.

Our Season Finale brings you one of the most unexpected and powerful love stories of our time. This conversation was hosted at Good, Clean, Fun in Downtown Los Angeles, the perfect setting for a story that challenges tradition and expands the meaning of family.
In this episode, we sit down with married couple Samantha Wynn Greenstone and Jacob M. Hoff, who became widely known when Jacob — a gay man — fell in love with and married Samantha. Their relationship sparked national conversation and pushed the boundaries of how society defines love, partnership, and the nuclear family.
What We Discuss:
• How Samantha and Jacob first met
• How their connection grew into real, undeniable love
• How their love helped bring their first child into the world
• Sexuality, identity, and the fluidity of human connection
• How the world responded to their relationship — supportive, curious, and sometimes critical
• What it means to build a family outside the traditional mold
This episode is honest, intimate, and deeply human — a reminder that love doesn’t always follow the rules people expect.
We close the season with a special performance by Rob Moss, performing “Feeling You” from his upcoming dual album Red Pill, Blue Pill.

Hey, what's up everybody? We're back. I'm Quasi. And I'm Andre. And this is So we're back and we have some of our special guests that you can see. Two of my favorite people. We're gonna get into that. But Andre, where are we today?
SPEAKER_04Great. We are actually at Good Clean Fun. This is in downtown LA. Something that told me that we were not supposed to say hidden gym anymore. So we can say undiscovered talent. I don't know. Something it's a thing. You're not supposed to say hidden gym anymore. It's a little bit like a- Everything is offensive now. Exactly. I don't know. It's a thing. But what it is, it's a cool place. Uh they do natural wines. It's called Good Clean Fun. Good Clean Fun. Good like food, chakuter. Yeah. Exactly. So we're here. Uh we're drinking some Gruner. So of course we have a good Chiccuterie board, some um figuring potatoes, and a croissant. Croissant. Tell us about the Gruner. So Gruner is basically it's gonna be a very drinkable um uh white wine. Okay. There is some regions in France, but also some Germany as well. So what it is, it's something where if anybody wants like a nice, pleasantable drinking white wine, something that's good with charcuterie. Yeah, it's a good thing. Also, well, you can't, but we're good with seafood. You know, you can't have it with everything. But you can do it with I know you do left some tilapia. Oh yeah, it's something that's really good. So like um It's very good. Yeah, like I said, it's something that's pretty easy, drinkable, so and it's also low in alcohol, so you can actually drink bottles of it and you'll be okay.
SPEAKER_03Oh, you know, and just make sure you go responsibly.
SPEAKER_04That's all we want to drink responsibly. And so then me and Samantha are talking about two natural wines. It's just like something that's good for you. You can drink a like you can drink a good amount of it and still feel okay. Yes. Not a lot of sulfates.
SPEAKER_03We're always good about that. I love it. I just I want to just you know take a moment and just you know, thank you, and thank you all for making time today. Look, we have some incredible people with us today. And uh I met you through all through a mutual friend of ours. Oh, we got it. Yeah, so we have with us. That's a crazy original, my we'll get into some things, but we have with us Samantha Wynn Greenstone and the iconic Jacob Hoff. Hello. And their podcast is out now. It's gonna be I Married a Gay Man. We're gonna get into some things. So this episode is is is basically about how the nuclear family was just waiting to explode because it wasn't real. I want to go and just take a moment. Samantha and Jacob, tell us a little bit about yourself really quickly.
SPEAKER_05Okay. Well, if from the title of our podcast, you could know that I am a gay man married to a woman, and that has stirred up a lot of feelings and a lot of bullshit in the world that we are thrilled about. I love it. That's the whole point of it of sharing it.
SPEAKER_00Um we're also honest.
SPEAKER_05We're also artists and we are uh creative phenomenal artists, crazy ass motherfuckers. Uh we do you know, we just uh throw everything to the wind and do it because that's what uh we're sent here to do. Yes.
SPEAKER_00And we recently, eight months ago, had a baby.
SPEAKER_02Congratulations.
SPEAKER_05Thank you.
SPEAKER_04The natural women.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that's also a bit of a controversy. That's a strong moment.
SPEAKER_04That's a strong moment. It was in November, correct? Yes. November what? We have to ask.
SPEAKER_03We have to ask we're both November, we have the same birthday.
SPEAKER_00We keep the exact date off the state. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But Scorpio. We're Scorpio.
SPEAKER_03Andre and I would be born November 10th. November 10th. Okay. Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_04That's amazing. So it's one of those things why we bonded.
SPEAKER_03And so, Samantha, tell us a little bit about yourself.
SPEAKER_00What you know, oh, what is there to know about myself? Well, I was born and raised in San Diego. I very early on, my parents threw me into a bunch of different activities. Like I'd play T ball with my brother. Um, wasn't for me. Gymnastics, ballet weren't quite my thing. And then one summer they threw me into a musical theater camp and they were doing the production of Oliver, and I I booked the role of Mr. Bumble. Mr. Bumble!
SPEAKER_05The person who goes uh when he's like, please uh may I have some more?
SPEAKER_00And he goes, more Me at the ripe age of eight. So wow so and then I like loved it. At first I was mad because I wanted to be the artful dodger. I was like, what do you mean I didn't get to be the artful dodger? But then I realized like soon after that it was actually more fun to be like the funny one.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00And so I grew up doing theater and decided to pursue it professionally as an adult, and it led me to And that you have. And thank you, yes, I have. I have. And I've had I've since gone on to play men again, which is actually really fun, and I think it's like a task. We always say that usually in youth theater, women play men because there aren't enough men to play men play.
SPEAKER_03You better speak.
SPEAKER_00But I'm taking roles away from actual men as an adult, and so I kind of like it.
SPEAKER_03You know, there there is this thing that most people don't speak about. There's a divine masculine and a divine feminine in that that that lives within each being.
SPEAKER_02I agree.
SPEAKER_03Absolutely. And so you just tapped into something, you know, that that a lot of a lot of people don't like to speak about.
SPEAKER_04It's true. Because you know, okay, I have to say this though, because you know what your vibe, and I feel if they were gonna do a movie, you're totally giving me Phyllis Diller vibes. Oh my god. Oh, I love that! I totally like right if you give you just give me that vibe. I just drink to that.
SPEAKER_00Like you know, wow, wow. And I do there is a chorus leechman, too. Oh my god. Like and they've gone on to do amazing. Exactly.
SPEAKER_03It's written, it's written.
SPEAKER_04Biopic. It's written. She's available.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, for the right price.
SPEAKER_00People also say that I remind them of Martha Plimpton. Or like Amy Sideris. And some people say Joan Cusack, and I think it's just my face.
SPEAKER_03You know, so so so so to speak on this, we're gonna go, we're gonna we're gonna pivot from that. So, Jacob. Okay. When did each of you fill in the first moment during Fiddler on the roof callbacks? Before you met each other, before you knew somebody, how did you go into that callback?
SPEAKER_05I went into that callback with a weird sense of confidence. Okay. Because usually as an actor, you're very nervous and you feel like, uh, there's no way I'm getting it. But I was so sure that I was gonna get that part that on the way there, I called and I quit my job at a restaurant. Which is to me crazy. Because when you're an actor, you know there's a one in a thousand chance sometimes you're gonna get something. But I just like felt it. I was like, I'm doing this, I hate that job, I'm gonna go there and do it. So there was a weird confidence, there was a weird energy around it already.
SPEAKER_03And for you guys who don't know, I should have said this first. Uh Samantha and Jacob met at a Fiddler on the Roof callback. Yeah. And that that's the that's their origin story. So I just wanted to get a a I guess get in your mind, both of your minds before you knew each other. Totally. Do you remember?
SPEAKER_00Like, oh, I do remember. So where are you? Where are you Samantha? It was the Monday after Thanksgiving. I had auditioned for this theater company before, and they'd never given me a time of day. So I'm like, why am I even driving down from LA to do this? Um, and I like really wasn't gonna go, but then there was like something in my gut that was like, you have to go at least so that like even if it's gonna play out exactly as you anticipated because they haven't given you the time of day before, at least like you won't be mad at yourself and wondering what if.
SPEAKER_02Wow.
SPEAKER_00I'm very much like, even if I don't want to do something, I have to at least do it so I don't have the regret of not doing it. Um and and so I like really was like, oh, I don't want to be here, but I think I was like so like caring so so little about it at that point that like it actually gave me just kind of this like this confidence that like no one else had that day. Because everyone cares so much. They're always like Mr. Director, and I'm just like I'm gonna walk in.
SPEAKER_04And I'm like, I'm not gonna choose me because it was like I'm just here, like listen, like if it happens, it happens.
SPEAKER_00I care less if you give this to me, but I'm gonna show you why I'm right for it. If I were casting it.
SPEAKER_03That's amazing. I had never asked you, what do you do what do you identify as sexually? Both of you.
SPEAKER_00Straight.
SPEAKER_03Straight. Yeah, yeah, straight and gay. Okay, yeah. Okay, I love that. I love it. And you know, it's it's so funny to me because when when I meet you, when I met you, you have this uh this this this old uh soul to you. You know, it it it's it's it's it's it's it's it's rich, it's regal, it's you know mind your business and drink your water, you know, and smoke your your long cigarette.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you know, thank you. You know, I don't feel like this is my first time on earth. There's some people you look at and you're like this is your first time here. Or she's only been here a couple times. I think I've at least been here like 13.
SPEAKER_03So I have a I'm I'm gonna piggyback off of that. So, or just everything. How did the idea of the spiritual and biblical core help you understand your connection?
SPEAKER_05So Samantha went to an energy healer early on. Um our friend Dylan Mulvaney was Dylan. Shout out to Dylan. So she was living with Dylan at the time doing musicals, and Dylan went to an energy healer and was like, you've gotta go to this woman because she is amazing and she's gonna tell you some stuff. And so she went and uh they asked, she asked, what did she ask you?
SPEAKER_00She asked me things about my life. She was like, Are you seeing anyone?
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_00And I was like, no. But I do have this like weird connection with my best friend.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00We weren't dating, but right as I said that, she was like, look where your hand is, it's right by your belly button. And I'm like, you're right, it is. I was also doing a lot of hot yoga this summer. So I was very I'm already woo-woo and I was like very I was either very dehydrated or like, yes, exactly, that's what it is. And she's like, that's where the umbilical cord is. You guys share an a spiritual umbilical cord.
SPEAKER_02Wow.
SPEAKER_00And it was like exactly what I needed to hear to after 18 months, then just text Jacob and be like, Do you ever feel more for me than just a friend?
SPEAKER_03Wow. And so I think the idea like Were you were you nervous when you texted him that?
SPEAKER_00Like that you I was because I've never done that sort of a thing before, but it also felt so like Kisman.
SPEAKER_03But that but that's hot. Like I I I just think the the the boldness, the crassness of that that that's hot. Thank you. In the words of Paris, that's hot. That's hot.
SPEAKER_04Well, you know what they say, LeBron says you sh or not LeBron. So you don't was it, you don't, you can't make every shot, but you have to shoot it anyways. I probably paraphrase that, but you know, it is what it is.
SPEAKER_00And I was like so much like someone should court me if they want me, like they have to prove themselves to me at that point.
SPEAKER_02I was like, so the patriarchy, right?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, exactly. I I I was just I just like was done. And I was like so much in a place where I was like, someone's gonna have to convince me that it is a better situation to be with them than to be with myself. Yeah. And so I was very much in that place. And but I knew that like regardless of what happened, it was going to be okay because I think I felt so confident in our bond that I'm like it's not gonna break us even if he doesn't feel this way.
SPEAKER_03So the topic of this podcast episode is nuclear family. When did you realize a nuclear family story didn't fit you? When did you realize a nuclear family didn't fit you? And that your love was something bigger and truer than the nuclear family.
SPEAKER_05Well, we had a lot of years of difficulty in the beginning. I say that when we first got together, there was like a six-month honeymoon period of just like bliss and joy and fun. And then there was like a seriousness that set in that sets in with all relationships where you wonder how is this gonna last? Yeah, what is this really? And uh we started to and Samantha already knew that I was gay, and it was uh kind of put on the back burner at first, and we didn't really address it when we first started dating. We were just like, we're dating, and this is a thing. And then she was like, What does that really mean? Like, how how do you actually like me now? The hard question is.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and are still gay, and and and you never want to feel like you're holding someone back from like living their truest identity or being themselves. I never wanted him to like feel that way.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um but I also like I also like knew because I was just love is love. I'm like, you spend a lot of time, what does love is love really mean? I think we all internalize that in a different way.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00And I think that to me it's just the idea that like love transcends logic. And when love is really true love, it doesn't matter what package it comes in.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But I always like in some ways I did want to have that typical conventional family of like getting married, having a kid, but I wasn't gonna do it unless I did it with someone who was the right person for me to be.
SPEAKER_05And I had come from a broken home. Yeah. And so my concept of what that was like was very different. I was not like thinking of that in the same sense. Her family was together, you know, there's no divorce, there's nothing like that. So to me, that always kind of felt like a fantasy. And I was like, that's that's never gonna be in the cards for me. Yeah, you know. Um so to have her have those needs and uh and desires and wants, and for me to kind of not be on that same page was really difficult those first few years. And just conveying the fact that I'm like, no, I'm in love with you, you are my person in this life, but this is just who I am, that's never gonna change. Yeah, uh, was really weird. It was hard. And people we don't we did not have any examples of this before us. So it was weird.
SPEAKER_00And so we felt like a freak show, to be honest, because we're like, but there's all these examples of all these other different types of relationships or fluidity um in every single other facet of like I feel like humanity, but this one sort of dynamic, it's almost like it seems like it can't be. Like there's no way that a gay man would ever want to be with a straight woman.
SPEAKER_03Right, and and a lot of times, uh, you know, based off of what you hear, you see, you read, people don't think it's real. They think that right, they think that this is a farce, a satire, or you know, you have the the the the the the beard come in, you know, the lavender marriage come in, the this, but folks, these two people love each other. Yeah, they really love each other. It was funny. I know I know them, I see them, they love each other. Stop it, just cut it out.
SPEAKER_04It was you know, even like the even when we're setting up, it was just like the complete like husband response where I asked a question, he goes, like, you know what, defer to my wife. Yeah. If she likes it, I love it.
SPEAKER_00Like that's what my mom said. My mom said, you want to find the man that's like almost there because the rest can be trained. Like men are just men, you know.
SPEAKER_04And um, I'm gonna fix her up or like get it at a good price. So leading up, okay, so how would you uh each find uh define your guys' soul, like soful connection? You know, and then how does it show up in your everyday life?
SPEAKER_00Oh, I love that. Um I don't know, it's just kind of like everyone says when you know, you know. I don't think that it it's anything more than that. Like it's really just it feels like this like magnet, this button. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. Like it just it feels like it was written in the stars for us to be this way. And I think because we both understand kind of what that means to like live in like a spirit a spiritual thing, it helps us weather everything, even like the tough conversations at the beginning of our relationship.
SPEAKER_03We were like, okay, like we're gonna work through this because we know that this is a destiny, but you know, it's just you're ultimately spiritual beings on a human journey. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Exactly.
SPEAKER_03You know, yeah. My grandmother always, and I speak about her a lot, but she says it it behooves her that people care so much about what we do with our physical bodies because we're we we all are gonna turn right back into what? Dust and ash, these are nothing but meat suits. Yeah, right. So when you meet people, you meet a person that transcends all that, fuck everything else. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And maybe I was a very hot man in the last life, and he's just remembering. He's remembering.
SPEAKER_03You know, it's a square. It could be, it could be. You know, and then and the same, you know.
SPEAKER_00I think our souls travel together and try to come back in lifetimes together in some capacity. I get that.
SPEAKER_03I I know that this is not my first time on earth. I think it's probably my last. You know, I feel like you think it's your last. Yeah, I just feel like, you know. But you've reached nirvana. I feel it. I see all the bullshit. I see what it is. There there is a uh uh a crassness, a confidence that I move with there where I just see things for where they are. Yeah. And when I met you both, I was just so impressed. I was like, oh man, someone, so some people finally get me. They finally see me. Because I I truly don't believe, I'm not turned on. You have to brain fuck me before I'm ever attracted to see you physically. Yeah. And it's hard for a lot of people to wrap their mind around that is hard over parts. For me.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Oh yeah. It's it's it's incredible because if if you can brain fuck me, you got it.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03I don't care. Yeah, I don't care how much money you got, I don't care where you're from. You're not about the superficial thing. I'm not about it because you know we've seen, if you study history, you see time and time again, money is only good when it's good. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And money can't buy happiness. It really cannot buy happiness.
SPEAKER_04And also, looks do not last. Looks don't like it.
SPEAKER_00Looks do not last.
SPEAKER_03Even though we got some good doctors. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04End up looking like a cat though. Come on now. So leading to like my next question. So, you know, what are some like misconceptions you guys get from being in a mixed-oriented relationship? Also, to clarify, because people always say lavender marriage, even though if you really know the stem of lavender marriage, it's not that. It's not right, it's got a very different way.
SPEAKER_00And in some ways, we're like, okay, we understand that that's the package that some people need. So we're like, we're trying to reclaim what like a different face of lavender marriage could be, if that's how people are gonna understand it right now. But ultimately, we would consider it a mixed orientation marriage.
SPEAKER_03Wow. I didn't I didn't think about that. You know, and making it trying to make it fit it in the in the box and explain it in a way because unfortunately, our the generation before us, they only understand things a certain way, so why you have to be patient with the parents and the grandparents, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_05So okay, that's it. The biggest thing we hear is people say you're just bisexual. Yeah. And that's the biggest uh thing, and I totally understand that because again, it's that people try people are introduced with something new, right, and then they immediately try to categorize it into something they already understand. Lazy. And yeah, and I get that because we all do that, or we all see things, and sometimes when we're approached with something that's great and new, we uh reject it. Yes. Art, all sorts of things, you know. I some of my favorite films or songs I didn't like the first time I saw or heard them. You know, you're like, what is this? I can't deal with that. And you then you keep thinking about it. And so our favorite comment we get is when people say, I didn't know about you guys at first, but now I really like you, or I'm understanding this. Because that shows that it's sticking and they're they're beginning to understand. And so why I don't say I'm bisexual is because I'm not attracted to women.
SPEAKER_03And and and and just an educational thing here, uh folks watching. Bisexual means that you are attracted to both the male and the female anatomy without knowing them, without having any attraction, you know. I mean so Jacob doesn't. See every woman that he meets or whip titties and ass and say, you know what, I want to fuck her. Right. Between being bisexual and being gay.
SPEAKER_05Totally. And so then people say, How do you then have a sexual relationship with her? Which totally makes sense because they're saying that. But again, it's not her working the stripper pole. Right. It's not her shaking her ass. You know what it's doing? Right. No. It's a stripper. So now you had to do nothing. I do want to see that though, a different reason. Me too, Loki.
SPEAKER_03But you had to do nothing uh sexual to attract him.
SPEAKER_00No, exactly. That's the difference. Some women will be like, I could never be with a man who's not sexually attracted to me. I'm like, well, you don't understand when Jacob looks at me, like to be the receiver of his gaze, and like when Jacob just talks to me, my entire inside, I feel like the most like beautiful, amazing woman in the world, because he's looking at me and like seeing every cellular thing. And you don't feel like I'm like wish for you to feel that way by anyone. It doesn't matter. I mean, to to be appreciated on that level, like, and and that's more, because one day I am going to look like Phyllis Dillon. And and he's gonna love me even more than. I love him. He's gonna be like, this is the person I always knew you were.
SPEAKER_02Oh my.
SPEAKER_04Well, because I because I know quizzy, you're openly about being like pansexual. And so it is more about the energy.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, for me. Yeah, I I I I tell people a lot of times, like, well, aren't you just bi? Like, aren't you just this? I'm like, well, no, I'm not.
SPEAKER_04Because I'll be honest, I was ignorant. I asked that, I was like, well, isn't that the question?
SPEAKER_03And then now looking into it, it's like, no, it's I understand it now. Like, I don't I don't see every man that I look and be like, oh man, he's hot. I don't see every woman be like, oh man, she's hot. Like, I have to literally get to know you. Yeah, I have to feel you. You know what I mean? And my grandmother's like words, I have to know who you are when you're quiet and we're sitting alone. It it it's it's it's the unsaid, the unsafe, and the unseen that I'm attracted to. Yeah. And the scorpio means, you know, we need more. You know, we have a bad rep for just wanting to, you know, be possessive and be demanding and this and that. But it's deeper. We we go through life understanding that we must die. We go through life, we we live in in the resurgence.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So our son's a Scorpio, and I everyone's like, oh, warning you about Scorpio energy. I'm like, I actually I love because they're deeply you're deeply emotional, you're deeply emotional, and uh when you trust someone, you don't give your trust over blindly.
SPEAKER_03No. I was raised by my grandmother, and she told me to kill off parts of me spiritually and mentally that no longer served me. Wow. And it has helped me navigate life because I realize nothing is personal. And most people that hurt you, most people that say main or negative things about you, they're just unhealed people. Totally. It's a them problem. It's a them problem.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_03And even in my relationships, my past relationships, I was like, oh, this person did me this way, that person did me that way. It wasn't even them. It was what I allowed. It was it was what I felt like I needed, or it was a reflection of what I saw in myself. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it's about that conscious, just like trying to move on and be like, you know what, it's like I don't know ill will. I have this thing where I say it's like best of luck with your future endeavors, which means I'm over it, I can care less, like if you can exist, but I just choose not to have this a relationship. Yeah. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I just want to, you know, to stay on love. And to say on, you know, this beautiful, beautiful being you brought into this world.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_03I want to get my question right. What surprised you the most about meeting your son for the first time?
SPEAKER_00Well, first of all, they just like plopped them on you. Labor is crazy. Labor is the crazy.
SPEAKER_03I saw your video. You, you, you were a champ. I was like, oh my god. Like, how?
SPEAKER_00I didn't have like, like, right as this is happening, like I was pushing, they had to like use a vacuum on him. He wasn't coming out, so they had to do like an emergency epesiatomy.
SPEAKER_03The doctor We gotta give a shout out to the LA Streets guys. Oh yeah. That's all.
SPEAKER_05He needed to feel so much.
SPEAKER_03All the little penises of the world. He needed to feel big, guys.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. We see you. We see you. Drive safely.
SPEAKER_03Um, so the question was, how did it feel meeting your son for the first time?
SPEAKER_00I mean, it really was like if there was anything that solidified that we were meant to be together more, it's like they plop him on you, and you're I'm like, Jacob, this is our baby, look at me. As if like he's not looking at him already. Right, right.
SPEAKER_03Don't know what to do, how to act, what to say, I'm sure. Like, wow.
SPEAKER_00Right. And it was like it was really scary giving birth and everything, but at the same time, I had that like spiritual certainty that like everything was gonna be okay because I had Jacob there, and we it was like this this is written in the stars for us, you know? Yeah. I have the stars that are like helping orchestrate this, and it just kind of felt like it almost felt like like when you watch like an old episode of Bewitched or something, or some witchcraft thing, and they're like, Zap, let me zap this thing.
SPEAKER_03Did it feel alien? Like, I just I just feel like I just have the birth, it's so alien it is. And I know we have other parents in the room, but something grew inside of you. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And and and like it grew inside of you, it's coming out of you.
SPEAKER_03It's coming out of you, they're digging things out of you.
SPEAKER_00There's blood. It's very alien. So, how how do you feel?
SPEAKER_03Like, you know, like did he change you?
SPEAKER_05Like, so much changed me. One of the biggest things I realize is how much our energy affects him and his energy. And we have a lot of friends that also have babies around the same time. And you see people get so stressed, and then they're like, our baby's so crazy. And I'm like, I think it's defeating you. Yes, yes, and even we all have days. Like yesterday, I will admit, we had a bit of a stressful day, and I could feel it coming off of him. And typically, like us, he's so easy. Yeah. We are we are typically like so go with the flow, relaxed, and he reflects that. But the minute you change, he mirrors that and it's like, I guess.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, wow. That's the thing. They say like kids, babies and stuff, they pick up on their parents' energy and stuff, and that's like when you are not doing right, the kid's not gonna do that. He's not gonna do it right, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. But it I mean, it really was like the greatest thing in the world. The first thing I noticed, like within seconds, I was like, Oh, Jacob, he has your triceps. Whoa. And I think he looks a lot of army Samantha. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03A lot. Yeah. So did you do you see? I know he's still very young, but do you see mannerisms? Like do you see like your mannerisms? Very early.
SPEAKER_00The second he was born, we're like, oh, this is a curious kid. Yeah. Whoa.
SPEAKER_05Very curious, very observant, and uh and aware.
SPEAKER_00And he likes to use his voice.
SPEAKER_03Wow. Yeah. My grandmother raised me uh since six months. She said my first word was why. Not mama or dada. Why? Why I love that. So, we're gonna take a pool. Who what word do you think he's gonna say first? Mama or daddy.
SPEAKER_00Dada.
SPEAKER_03Dadda!
SPEAKER_05He already goes dad, dad, dad, dad, dad, but it's like there's no connection that that's like me. It's just his easier. So he's gonna be a singer. I think so. Oh, I think he's I think he's gonna be a big thing. No baby has ever been maybe a counter tenor. No baby has ever been sung to more than our child. I love it.
SPEAKER_03We sing you had the most beautiful video. Even when you were pregnant, Samantha, you know, Jacob would be singing. And I'm not gonna get emotional. But my mom, my dad passed away in 2014, in 2024, two years ago. But apparently my dad was a singer. Really? I didn't know. Wow. Gospel singer, this and that, and he used to do the same thing. That's incredible. And and it comes in waves. And I was after she told me that at some point I was while I was on maybe your Instagram or TikTok, you were singing. Yeah. To him. And I was I I got deeply emotional. Oh, thank you. And that was just so special to me because I'm like, what? This is c this is this is this is how I'm you know, this is how I wish my dad was, but I guess he was. So that's amazing.
SPEAKER_05Do you still sing? Every day. And uh whole sometimes whole concerts he gets. I put on this karaoke tracks and just belt out numbers. Samantha sings to him.
SPEAKER_00And we do a dance party every day. Yeah. He's currently really into jumping the line.
SPEAKER_03Wow.
SPEAKER_00I don't know what of all songs, but it really gets going the dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun.
SPEAKER_03And and you know, we're not gonna go deeper into the little one, but I know you all have been taking a picture every month. Uh huh. So photo booths. That's fun. So do you do you see changes?
SPEAKER_00Like, I was just looking at them the other day as I was like putting them the the this month's away, and I'm like, oh my gosh, like even from two months ago, his hair has like quadruples. Wow. It's insane.
SPEAKER_05Wow. And the cool thing about the photo booth is it's a one and done. Yeah. So sometimes they're chaotic, sometimes they look funny, and that's the point, is that they're not gonna be a big thing.
SPEAKER_00One time my phone was covering the camera, and so it's like you have like a quarter of the the like strip of pictures that have like a black box, and they're like, I'm like, we should redo it. He's like, No, you have to do it. Like, that's what happened that day. I'm like, okay.
SPEAKER_03What is your first what is your advice to first-time parents in the in in the industry, in the in the entertainment industry? Like what what precautions have you taken and what would you give other parents in that?
SPEAKER_05That's a that's a really tricky thing.
SPEAKER_00Um I think like it's hard when you're an artist or you're a a creative because there's always that like battle of like doing what you love versus like also wanting to get paid to do what you love. So I think in my head there was always that conversation of like, I want to make sure that like I have we live in this type of house first and that we have this, and I can, you know, I I want these things kind of in place first. But then my mom said something my mom's like, I a kid, all a kid really needs is to feel uh loved, safe, and happy. And I think if you can uh do those three things, everything else will fall into place.
SPEAKER_05And you and a lot of people, creative people we know, there there's two, there's kind of a split. Some people will like double down and be very career, and then their kid kind of gets put on the back burner. Right. And then there's the people who give up on their dreams and say, now I'm a parent. And to me, it's like it's now a juggle of both. And you've got to do both, and you have to model success to your children, and you have to model your own uh work and dreams for them in life. You cannot give up.
SPEAKER_03So we do have more Samantha and Jacob creative projects coming up. Oh, there's so many.
SPEAKER_05We wrote a book uh since he's been born. Exclusive! Oh yeah, documentary film coming out. We're really, we're really working hard, but we're you know, we stay home with him and we juggle, and it's hard. I mean, like, you know, making we make sometimes five, six videos a day for TikTok and Instagram. YouTube, we have two YouTube channels. Like, we're trying to do all this stuff and be like, okay, I gotta work. She works part-time for a jeweler. So it's like, you know, he hangs with me, she does her stuff. It's it's a lot. It's easy to do.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, hit me up.
SPEAKER_04Pull out the displays. Well, so you so I mean, just talking with all this, so you guys feel like your artistic background creates your guys' uh experience and your influence.
SPEAKER_05Absolutely. I mean, we're dancing. And he's probably gonna wind up liking football or something. I'm gonna be like, crap. Now I gotta go watch this boring shit. Oh, we'll like it if he likes it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You never like to be dramatic and do soccer. Yeah, soccer's dramatic. Somebody in our family does art.
SPEAKER_00Did you see that video around the World Cup where or there was one going around, it was like, these this is the difference between men and women. This is a woman preparing to give birth, and it's a woman, she's like, Yeah, yeah. And then it's like, and this is men playing soccer and they're like on the ground, like rolling.
SPEAKER_04When they get hit, yeah. It's like a telenovella, they're like grabbing their knee, it's like they sell it.
SPEAKER_00I know. And there's no dancers or like halftime show in soccer, right?
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_04It's long enough. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00It's so long, but then they only score one point.
SPEAKER_04Baseball is long.
SPEAKER_05Wow.
SPEAKER_00Um baseball's at least dramatic. You get like a seventh-inch stretch, you get the the national anthem.
SPEAKER_03I've never been to a baseball game. So I gotta, I gotta go to a Dodgers game. But I don't know because they just gave Trump some some. I don't know. Dodgers did? Yeah, they gave Trump the the championship ring yesterday. I just can't. I'm conflicted.
SPEAKER_00Well, I'm a Padres fan, so let's go to a Padres.
SPEAKER_03I'll go to a Padres game or Angels game, but Dodgers fans, what's up? Y'all stand by this? Shit. They gave Trump Trump was there speaking yesterday and they gave him a championship ring.
SPEAKER_04Not all of them, though. Yeah, we have to say that, not all of them.
SPEAKER_03Well, not all of them, but it is what it is. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Alright, so also too, how does going viral uh in your story change your guys' life?
SPEAKER_03Because you go viral often. All of them. That's our that's what we do.
SPEAKER_00You know, it's interesting because it there's it's it there's two different things at play. There's the one where it's like, okay, now that we are telling our story, we have a bigger purpose in life where we it's like we have to bring awareness to these relationship dynamics. And every time we share, there are at least three people who drop into our DMs who are like, thank you for sharing this. Like I'm in this relationship, or my dad was in this relationship, and I feel seen and not crazy. I'm like, but from that end, like we're we're now representation, which is awesome. We're the representation we didn't have. But then also it's like given us a creative outlet where we can be like, okay, uh, we I can do this little skit one day and throw something up, and it's kind of like the world is your oyster. You get you get to watch people, like you people get to watch you fail, people get to watch you fly.
SPEAKER_03Come on, come on.
SPEAKER_00I it's just it's I wish I had taken advantage of TikTok earlier on. I regret getting into it as late as I as I can.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and I'm even afraid of it now. Like, I I I pull every three months, and I'm like getting views and thin thin things, and I'm like, what do you do with this?
SPEAKER_05You know, like you know, yeah, the hard the bit I mean the the smartest people are taking the the the attention there and transferring it to something else, a business or you know, a longer form format. Right. We're trying to move it towards our book and our documentary and our YouTube channel because the the short form thing is so fickle and it it's you know, I I don't know, and and the way it has to be packaged and sensationalized is bothersome. You know, well the way we have to start our videos and be like, I married a gay man every fucking time. It's like so annoying, you know, but it's like that's the difference of hundreds of thousands of views. Yeah. Because that hook line, those first three seconds are everything that matters. And you know, originally I just did those lists. Yeah, that was great, and that was getting amazing views, and we would have never had to share or anything. And one day Samantha was like, you she watches it uh more social media than I do. I actually don't watch my own.
SPEAKER_03You do it and leave it, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Exactly. I put it away. I like movies, I like books. But she was like, people share about their lives on there. And we had always toyed with the idea of talking about our relationship for years, because we were like, nobody talks about this. Like where where is this dynamic? And I just it just when she said that I was like, this is the moment, let's make a video about it. And it immediately got five million views, and I was like, Wow, this was something.
SPEAKER_03And and even for me, the lick like being in a bystander, we and this is the reason why I was when I reached out to Andre, I was like, Yeah, I want to talk to you know, Samantha and Jacob. I just I feel like people know them for these punch lines, yeah. And they don't really know the people that I know. Right, exactly, exactly. The resiliency, yeah, the bravery. Well, thank you. Uh you guys are just you have big hearts, big souls, you know, and you love on people. And people don't play about y'all. The people that know y'all, they don't play about y'all. Yeah, yeah, she actually knows. Yeah, she don't play about y'all. You know, and it's incredible, you know. But, you know. I just I I wanna wrap it up. We're defending. Before we do anything, Andre, I'm gonna change this up really quick. We're gonna play this or that.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Okay.
SPEAKER_03And so this game, the way it works, I'm gonna say ice cream or uh Sherbert. Or this or that. Right? So you do your this or that. They answer I do mine, this or that. We're gonna do a round of three because this is it in the uh uh the the gaze of audience knowing or wanting to know more about you. Okay and so I'll start. Okay. So we're gonna do uh Lucille Ball or Audrey Hepburn.
SPEAKER_00Oh. Lucille Ball. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05That's really tough, but I'm also gonna go Lucy. Lucy! No hate to Audrey Hepburn. She's more an outfit. Okay.
SPEAKER_04She's a paper doll. Okay, okay. I know you guys are in movies. We're going back to the 90s. Okay. Um Ten Things I Hate About You or Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead. Don't tell mom.
SPEAKER_00I haven't seen Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead.
SPEAKER_05I've actually only seen pieces of it, but I do I'm not the biggest Ten Things I Hate About You fan.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00I think based on the title, I would like the babysitter one more. Oh, yeah. But I have to say that I want to go to Walmart was like the soundtrack of my high school.
SPEAKER_04It really was. Okay. Heath Ledger is my man.
SPEAKER_00He thinks that he was the most handsome man of all time. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so In and Out or Raising Canes.
SPEAKER_00In and Out.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, In and Out. Because this is the thing. Canes is a sauce. Yes. It's not a chicken. I don't see the big chicken. Fuck that chicken. I don't get it. Fuck that chicken. It sucks. I'm sorry. It's boring.
SPEAKER_04Alright, this is gonna be an interesting one.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_04Sopranos or Sex in the City?
SPEAKER_05Ooh. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Sopranos.
SPEAKER_05I've only seen like one or two episodes of both. And it's Sopranos, I think, for me.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I used to watch Sex in the City with my grandmother, though.
SPEAKER_00Did you ever watch the Carrie Diaries? I did. I did. I like the Carrie Diaries more than Sex in the City.
SPEAKER_04I was so mad because they could have did so much. They could have. They could have did so much with that.
SPEAKER_00Have you watched Elle yet?
SPEAKER_04Okay. I have. I love the biggest Legally Blonde. You don't understand that. Every time I fell down, I watched Legally Blonde. It's one of my best movies. I saw the first episode and I was like, ugh. Yeah. And then I was like, you know what? Let me let me muscle through it. I tell you it was worth it. I binged it the whole season. It's so good.
SPEAKER_00I'm like, the premise, like Seattle, I don't know that I like fully buy it.
SPEAKER_04It throws you off.
SPEAKER_00She nailed it. She nails it.
SPEAKER_05The greatest joke of that is when they're all, because everybody in the Seattle school is all in plaid and it's just really funny. She walks through the school and she's like, here's all the clicks. And she's like, there's the jocks, and they're all like in plaid and emo. And she's like, there's the nerds, and they're all in plaid emo.
SPEAKER_04And she's like confused, we're like, well, they're all learning the same thing. Like, I don't get it.
SPEAKER_00And then I recently learned that they named the school Rainier West because it's Reese Witherspoon's initials. Right. So every time they wore something, it was a little bit more. It was always RW, yeah. It's like, oh my gosh, why did I why did it take a meme to point that out to me?
SPEAKER_03Alright, I have I have one more for you. The Grove or the Glendale Galleria. The Grove. The Grove.
SPEAKER_05I do love the Glendale Galleria, though.
SPEAKER_03I love the outdoor part of it so much. Fun fact, they were made by the same architect. Yes. Yes, yes, yes. Yes.
SPEAKER_00Now, if you would have said Grove or Century City, I'd have to say that.
SPEAKER_03I would have said that's a Century City got the show.
SPEAKER_00Although the parking at all those places is dumb. So you gotta get the Caruso signature wrap because every time you check into a Caruso property, it gives you like a thousand points. You get free parking. And that that alone is like you all you have to do is download the app.
SPEAKER_03We need a group.
SPEAKER_00I know, I know, I know. I don't use that app for anything else but the free parking.
SPEAKER_04All right, last one, just uh relating to the LA community. Okay. All right. The west side or the east side? West side. West side every day.
SPEAKER_03I'm about to be with you on the west side. I mean, I like the art on the east side. The east side has more culture. And better restaurants.
SPEAKER_05Better restaurants on the east side. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_05We are Beverly Hills bitches. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00We went to Highland Park last weekend, and Jacob was like, I've decided I'm a bougie bitch.
SPEAKER_04No, because like Highland Park, because I remember one day we like did our train journey and we're like, we literally just like the train. We're like, fuck it. We were downtown. We went to Highland Park. We were there, like, we did a excursion. We went all the way to Pasadena. It was a fun time. Pasadena's great. Okay. And the Highland Park vintage shops, too. Amazing. There's cool. Best restaurants, all right. Great restaurants.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_03You know, we've been in LA too long, but you know, I just want to say again, thank you. Thank you. Thanks for having me. Thank you, Samantha. This has been probably one of the best conversations we've had in a long time. I love it. I don't want it to end. We were just saying hi. We haven't had we have such serious conversations all the time on this show. For some reason this series, this season. We've cried twice this season. We've never cried on the podcast. We cried this so this gives us the right amount of balance, of fun, of hope, and just energy. Tell us where to find you all. For those who don't know, where to find you all. And what do you guys got coming up for us?
SPEAKER_00You can find me on all platforms at Samantha Wynn Greenstone.
SPEAKER_05You heard it? And I'm at Jacob M. Hoff. And we have a joint YouTube channel called Sam and Jacob Show. Yep. And I have a new uh YouTube channel, Jacob Hoff Loves Horror, dedicated to a lot of horror cinema. And we have a podcast, I Married a Gay Man.
SPEAKER_00Yes, and we are wrapping up the short documentary film that we produced, like leading up to our wedding.
SPEAKER_03Wow.
SPEAKER_00And we're working on getting this book to do this. Let's go!
SPEAKER_03Book is a graduate.
SPEAKER_00Have you ever tried writing a book?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I have a book. It's a pain in the fucking ass. I have uh edits of books, but I never published one. Um I was in a book, Billy Lee. I was in her book, uh, Why Are You So Sensitive? Okay. So I did an S Art in there, but not published, you know, but I'm working on it. Yeah, it's a time. Y'all, maybe y'all, maybe y'all need to take the lead, but I'll take the lead. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Because sometimes you tap into some stuff and you don't realize it, and then it's just like there's certainly discover and you start really like.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. The book is the best way to get our story, like it's to get it like a matter of fact, really flushed out and just say, this is it, like nobody else edits it. It's us telling it out, and it's it's really, it's a qu it's gonna be a really great thing. It's just a lot of work.
SPEAKER_03And it's gonna be good because you you both are academics. So it's it's gonna be good. It's gonna be really good.
SPEAKER_02So I we just wanna look at my grammar.
SPEAKER_05Your punctuation is right here. Exactly. I'm like somebody else take the wheel.
SPEAKER_03Well, I just I wanna I wanna say thank you, you both. We're gonna raise a glass out. She raise a glass. A mouthful. Oh, thank you, Samuel. Hey, what's up at Mouthfield crew? Y'all know what time it is. Look, I had the opportunity to introduce some incredible artists, but none of them have been black excellence. I got two words for you. Rob Moss. I met this individual during COVID, during the time where the world was healing, and I've got an opportunity to see him become this incredible artist. Look, he's an incredible singer, an incredible dancer, and he has an even bigger heart. He's gonna let us see inside of his world, performing feeling you of his upcoming duo album, Red Pill, Blue Pill. Y'all make some noise for the legend in the making, Rob Moss. I'ma cheer to that.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. Look, she wants that gangster, she wants that nasty, say she can't hold it, she gotta have me, she something different, I'm something smooth, yeah. She gotta have it, I'm on your mood, yeah. I'm on that new drop, please on your main black. Hit you when you see me rollin', make your game stop. I'm in that blue foot. See, then you know me. I'm in all my newest but stop being rolling, if you show me, I add them balls where you go. It's a slowly, fill a little bit lonely, it's do the right Yeah I feel you, feel you, feel you, feel in you. Everything you do, I feel like Yeah Love you, touch you, feel it, love you, feelin' a little money, I feel like I'm on that blue, drop seeds on your main black. You say you got what I need, I'm pulling up to see ya. Who you say you need that? Be ready, receive that for me, happy on the rear, moving, I am moving, loving the way you move it, moving, I don't move it, nobody love me like you ain't really love you can't go it, really get the mope. Are you on me? Oh yeah. Feeling you, feeling you, feeling you, feeling you. Everything you do, I mean like me, tell me you feel you love me, you feelin' all of your money, I'm like,
