Cristeros Daily Reflections
This is more than content. This is a movement of Catholic men.
We find strength in our identity as sons of the Father, brothers in Christ, and men entrusted to our Queen Mother, Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Cristeros Daily Reflections
Tuesday in the Third Week of Lent
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
We pray through a Lenten morning rite and explore why the Church withholds Alleluia while keeping the posture of praise before the Gospel. We ask what this word means in our daily prayer and invite a deeper, more present act of praise as we offer our day to Christ through Mary.
• purpose of Alleluia as praise to the Lord
• link between Alleluia and the Resurrection
• why Alleluia pauses during Lent yet praise continues
• the Gospel acclamation as royal welcome
• questions to examine personal prayer and presence
• morning offering through the heart of Mary
• invocations to the Sacred Heart and Our Lady
• practical focus on gratitude, attention and mercy
If you found this time of prayer and reflection fruitful and would like more opportunities to grow in your faith this land, consider joining the Cristeros and purchasing our Lenten Reflection booklet, now available on Amazon.com

Opening Prayers Of Lenten Morning
SPEAKER_00Tuesday in the third week of Lent. In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. O God, come to my assistance. O Lord, make haste to help me. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day, in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the remission of my sins, for the intentions of my family and friends, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father. Amen. While this word is unspoken during the Lenten season, throughout the year it is an important part of our prayer, just as is the verse that comes before every gospel. Let us reflect on them briefly. First, the word alleluia means praise the Lord. It is a word specifically associated with psalms that praise God for his goodness, as well as the glory of the resurrection. Because of this, it is a characteristic word for Christians as we express our praise and thanksgiving to God for what God has done for us in Christ. This is why it precedes the gospel. We make a triumphant cry of praise and glory as the Lord and King approaches in the proclamation of the Gospel. Note, too, that even in Lent, when Alleluia is not used specifically, this verse still proclaims the praise of God in some form or another. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ, King of endless glory. Does the word alleluia mean anything in your prayer? Does this moment of Mass make you recognize the presence of Christ? All that I have and all that I am, I give to your hands, Jesus, through the heart of Mary, your blessed mother. Amen. Sacred heart of Jesus, have mercy on us. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. If you found this time of prayer and reflection fruitful and would like more opportunities to grow in your faith this land, consider joining the Cristeros and purchasing our Lenten Reflection booklet, now available on Amazon.com.
