So I'm right here for insight. We live. Uncut. At the rooftop. We like what? 20 stories up. And uh insight says it's about to get real. So um let's see where this goes. Insight. Um. Why insight? Why that name?
SPEAKER_02Why that name? Oh man. Why that name? Uh so I'm not gonna lie, my sister had a boyfriend that um called me that one day. I I did something, I was a child when it happened. I was I had to be like 12, 13, because at the time I was writing another name. I used to write silly. Don't laugh at me, it's because I'm a funny person. I mean, you get to know me, but we're not we're not there yet. So um something happened and he said, You're always inside, he told me, and I love it. That word just caught me like no other. And um, I just loved the phrase. I I I went to the dictionary. You had to be there because you know we didn't have technology 15, 20 years ago. So I went to the dictionary and I read what it meant. And it meant to have knowledge of one of it of oneself. It means knowledge, and I yeah, but I shortened it because I said I don't I can't even drop six letters. I get caught, like it's over. So shout out to all the writers that have six letters and up. If you have two letters, three letters and down, you're trash. Just kidding. I'm just kidding. But um to each its own, but um, shout out to the writers with Mong Games for sure. Um you gotta be there longer. It's a longer feel, and shout out to shout out to them. So I had to cut it short. N S I T E and I stuck to it and I rolled with it and I and I I loved it, you know.
SPEAKER_03I ran with it and uh we got some uh we got some mocktails right here. What you did what did you order?
SPEAKER_01I I don't know.
SPEAKER_03What did she order?
SPEAKER_01I ordered uh Saturn. But these are pretty damn good.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, we got some mocktails on PG tonight. But uh how long you yeah, we just how long you been writing for?
SPEAKER_02Um, I started a painting. I wanna say um I will had to be in the sixth grade. Um that had to be uh oh cheers, cheers, there you go. Cheers. Um I had to be circa 2003, 2004.
SPEAKER_01I had to be 1112.
SPEAKER_0311 or 12, huh? Okay.
SPEAKER_01I started painting at a very early age.
SPEAKER_03So like why like what what made you want to do it? What made you want to do graffiti?
SPEAKER_02Jeez, well, oh man, where do I start? So I had a I had I have an older brother that was graphing it up and his era he was a killer, and just to make a long story short, because this is my interview, you know, when I was around 10 years old, my my pad had got oh, I've always wanted to talk about this because it it coincides with you, right?
SPEAKER_03It coincides with me.
SPEAKER_02That's had a bit, so we're gonna get there. So in the year 200 um two, three, four, five, there was like a law that passed that made graffiti harsher, right? There was a proposition that was passed, I think what year? I wanna say around 2001, two, three, four, five, around that era.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_02There was a proposition that passed. I I don't remember at maybe 21, I don't know, Google it yourself. But um, it made this it basically the proposition said graffiti is we're gonna get you, right? They ended up getting a graffiti task force around that time, right? And they locked up a bunch of fucking writers and you were one of them. Yeah, my brother was one of them. So they raided my pad. My they rated my well I'm not gonna name drop right now, but you know, at the end, you know, I will at the end of my interview, but um shout out to my brother. Um we'll talk about him later. But um my pad got raided in sight, and um it was the the ugliest shit I've ever seen. But when they raided my pad, you know, it was like five in the morning, and I woke up to my eyes, there was like laser beams in my eyes, and I said, huh. Yeah, oh, like who's playing outside? Yeah, get in the motherfucker. And I said, Oh shit, and I shit got real. So shit got real. There was choppers, they raided my fucking pad. They took my brother lived in the back, they ripped out pieces of the wall as evidence. Yeah, they locked that motherfucker up and they hit him with 10 years.
SPEAKER_0410 years.
SPEAKER_02They hit him with 10 years and they said, do this or take a plea. He ended up doing six years in prison because of that. So he was he ended up doing six years with with time served and all that BS. So they he was fighting 10 years, but because he took a plea deal, he ended up doing about six years, time served, aka. So my brother was one of those victims that fell into that when they raided my pad, they sat us down in the living room. Mind you, my brother hadn't been caught yet. He was in the garage getting ready. He goes, Oh, I heard them. I showered and I got ready because I knew he was going to prison. Uh, shout out to my brother. He had they they raided my pad on his birthday. Poor thing had turned 18, 17, 18. They took my brother to prison for he was fighting 10 years. I mean, think about it, as a teen, he was a teen. Yeah. So they sat us down at the table and they had a piece of paper and they said, These are the most notorious targets in the United States. I weren't getting all of them, and my brother was on the list. And they got his ass, and they he did his time, and he and shout out to my brother. Um, that's what got me into graffiti, and I said, What the fuck was that? I wanna do what the fuck he did. And um, thank God I never got to that extent of me getting my shit rated, but um, I've been addicted to graffiti ever since because yeah, it was just it was my shit.
SPEAKER_03I was looking at, I was fighting 34 years.
SPEAKER_02I read your story, so I said, I'm gonna I can't wait till you ask me what got me into graffiti because it had to you had to be you had to be there.
SPEAKER_03What you mean like so him going to prison inspired you to want to do graffiti?
SPEAKER_02Well, it's because you know I it sounds horrible, right? But I said, what the fuck did he do? Have you ever seen the Pimp Chronicles by Pat Williams?
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02What the fuck did he do? Yeah. I bought the guy for ten years, he wouldn't do no shit like that. So I I busted some shit like that, and um so I I I I said I what what did he do? What the fuck did he do? And as I as my I got older and I started and I I think I started like the ninth grade. I went to HBI, shout out to the 90255 all day, every day. I went uh hunting the park and um I remember like the first week of school, I had a bunch of fools that went up to me.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And they said, What's up, your little sister? And I thought, yeah, damn. And I said, Who's this fucking guy? This is just my brother, Elaine that I live with at the house.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And and and I said, What the fuck? And and I as I learned about graffiti, I got to know, oh, this dude gets up and this is known, and this was the shit. And I want to be the shit, and I and I've been the shit ever since. I've just always held my head up high, I've always put in work, and I've loved graffiti ever since. I've tried to stop, but I don't know how to. Um, it's just been part of my life, I think longer than I've been alive. I started doing graffiti at 12. Um I'm 33 years old, so that's a long ass talking time. That is a long time. I don't know how to stop. I I went hiatus. Amazing. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. I went hiatus when I graduated high school. I stopped painting in 2010 because I had gave birth to my kids. Shout out to my four kids and uh shout out to my man Flo. I love him with all my heart. Um I started painting again because of him in 2019. I met I met him and I I we've been a force ever since. Um I've been killing nonstop since 2019. Okay. But I've been painting um and I and I took a break from 2010 to 2018 for my kids, but I'm back and I don't know how to stop again. And um we just don't, you know.
SPEAKER_03Okay. So like how long do you plan to do this for?
SPEAKER_02You know, I didn't I didn't I didn't even think I was gonna be in the game this long, but um What are you thinking 70, 60, 85? Um I I I don't I don't have an age. I don't I don't know. I don't think I'm ever gonna stop. Um I think I'll stop when um like all my enemies are dead.
SPEAKER_04Oh my god.
SPEAKER_02Because I think you know the more they come for me, I think the more the more the more hardheaded I am, and I think the more people come for me, I think the more harder I'm gonna become and the more harder I'm gonna come. And I'm never gonna stop, I think, until my casket drops. Ooh, that sounds hard. It could be like But I'm not. Shout out to my sister. There's only there can only be one rapper in the family. Shout out to my sister Silvone Gold. She's a rapper, I can't be that. But I am a rapper. I don't know how to stop side. I love that shit. It's just pumping in my veins.
SPEAKER_03How many enemies you got right now? You know what? Because I I've I've heard so much about you on the streets.
SPEAKER_02There's a lot of um like um no backbone having ass bitches in the game that think we beat, but I don't know them.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But I have like like one, one, one or two. Okay. I say two max. Three's pushing it because I don't really know people like that. But I just feel like uh people come for me because they either, I don't know, like they jump on the bandwagon.
SPEAKER_03What's the band? What bandwagon are they jumping on?
SPEAKER_02Like I feel like people be like, hey, I don't like her. Can you have my back because I can't take her out alone? Yeah, let's eat on her together. And it's uh when they come, they could be five, six, seven deep, and they could come at me as a wonder and they still can't compete, right?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So I'm I'm a force and I think they know it, and I think it it pisses a lot of people off, and uh, I'm never gonna stop. So I don't really have that many enemies. I'm I'm a friendly person. Shout out to all the homies in the game, shout out to you know, my crew, shout out to my day ones.
SPEAKER_03So what's up with that? The helicopter right here now.
SPEAKER_02Shout out to everybody, you know.
SPEAKER_03Um let this helicopter pass real quick. It's about the last time. I haven't directly the hood.
SPEAKER_02But um, shout out to you, site, for having me, you know. Um shout out to you.
SPEAKER_01So like I like this raw shit by the way. I mean I'm you know self-centralized. I'm just kidding.
SPEAKER_03We're gonna find so who started mom's crew?
SPEAKER_02You know what? It started as a three-man crew.
SPEAKER_03Okay. It started as a three-man crew. Three-man crew or three-mom crew?
SPEAKER_02It's a uh three women crew.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02And um, I'm just gonna, you know, not gonna really get into that too much detail, but it started as a three-man crew. Um, I'm not dropping too many names because it again, it's my interview, I'm just kidding. But um, so as we progressed, um, we went from three, we went from five, we went to seven, um, dropped uh some dead weight, picked up a few solid riders along the way at the same time, and we were back at three. So, right now, um, shout out to baby and grow, myself, and we're running that crew right now.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02Shout out to us.
SPEAKER_03So, how's how's important? Look, I saw I was talking to Jerk today. I don't know if you know who Jerk is, and she was saying that in Mexico There's a lot of girl crews out there. But she don't understand why out here there's not a lot of girl crews out here.
SPEAKER_02I was just telling my homegirls the same thing.
SPEAKER_03I So why don't why do you think it's not a lot of girl crews out here right now?
SPEAKER_02I think a lot of female writers are I don't even oh man, you're that's a good question. So check it out. I think a lot of the older writers are more, I guess you could say, I get I think they know the game a little bit more, and I think um a lot of female writers in this era are young. Um I think 60 to 70 percent of them are in the ages of uh 20s. I don't think a lot of them are 30, 40 enough. I doubt it. So a lot of the young shout out to the females running the game too, but a lot of a lot of them can are like it's dangerous to be around women. I I realize in this time, um, this generation is very different to my generation. You know, my generation was very mysterious, very low-key. You had to cover your face, and a lot of these females are not like that. Yeah, they like to show everything and where they're at. And with that being said, it comes with a lot of cattiness. And I I think a lot of egos clash. I think females can't get along in the game, and I think that's the problem. And I think um, I think it's cattiness and accountability. If you want to keep it real, I think people don't like to sit in a room and be called out on their bullshit. And I think when you're from a solid-ass crew, mind you, I'm not old, right? But shout out to my first baby daddy, uh, I'm not name droppy, but he's he's an O head. He's from an OG crew. Uh really real mil real militant. The you know, I don't know much because I'm not in their meetings, but from the little that I heard from my ex that it's a major crew at South Central that's OG, they're real militant. So I pick up a little bit of that as I grow and I progress, and I want to run my crew real militant. I want to know what you're doing and why are you kissing her. What did you do? And wait, who started the beef? Wait, why are you picking on her? She's younger than you. And it's a lot, it gets deep, and I don't think they like to be called out, right? And I think it has a lot to do with that. I think females are catty, and I don't think they like to um be called out on their accountability, right? I mean, I'm speaking from experience. I don't know how other females run. I don't have female friends. I literally can count my friends with one hand, and I would keep it, and I'm gonna keep it that way. But like what I'm saying is the little few females that I've run into, they're weird and they're scary and they're dangerous, you know? They move weird, their generation is not like mine, and it's just different. I just think it's the cattiness and a lot of weirdness. I don't know if these females were raised with mothers as side women or like, I don't know, but they move very weird and I'm not used to it, you know.
SPEAKER_03So who so who raised you?
SPEAKER_02Oh, my mom, my mom raised me, my parents raised me. My mom was a warrior. My mama taught me from day one to move right, have morals, move, don't do dirty, don't do people dirty, um, put God first in everything that you do. So, you know, I'm not perfect, but I was my family was raised in church, so I have a little bit of what kind of church?
SPEAKER_03Catholic?
SPEAKER_02A Christian church. Okay. So shout out to you know, all my people that love God. Um, I feel like everybody should have a relationship with God, it's important. But with that being said, um, I think if you have self-knowledge and and self-awareness, it's called common sense. And I think a lot of the graffiti game lacks common sense.
SPEAKER_03You think common sense is common still? It's not common no more.
SPEAKER_02It's not common anymore. And and it's I'm speaking from experience because the little meetings I had with my crew, they were cool, but some of them weren't cool. And it's like I'm put in a position where everybody's looking at me, like, what do we do? Fuck, I don't know. Move right, bitch. You do this. And they can't take the heat, right? And then they clash and well I want to get down with her. Shit. And I have to deal with this bullshit, so it's a lot of cattiness, a lot of cattiness, a lot of um no accountability. Uh, most of it is no accountability, you know.
SPEAKER_03Who's your who's your mentor in graffiti? Who who raised you in graffiti? Who motivated you?
SPEAKER_02Oh, you know, I had a raise myself, but um, because my brother was doing the time as I was graphing it up, I met a few heads, but I was always a winner. I never joined no crew, I was always doing my thing. Um, I've always been a winner. I've always been a winner, and I I take pride in that. I never had a even though it would have been super cool to be part of a crew, I'm not gonna lie, looking as a younger, but I take pride in because I've always been a woman gang, and I think people know that like my city knows what's up with me. But um, who's my mentor? Who do I look up to? I don't I look up to myself. Um I I look up to I'm not name dropping, but shout out to my to my you know, my first baby daddy. Um he he's he he's from an OG crew, you know, a South Central crew, and um he, you know, uh shout out to my second baby daddy, Flo too. He's from a uh a big crew and Southgate, shout out to that crew. So I think being with my partners taught me a lot because they were embedded in the game more than me. Way more than me, and I picked up on a lot, you know. Shout out to my baby daddy, um, Loki. Um, whether you want to put this in the vein or not, I prefer you not. He's from BRU and um they just move different, you know? They move hella different, and I just and you know, and shout out to my crew and Flo's crew die, they move different too. Like, it's it's yeah, so it just has a lot to do with you know accountability and how you move. A lot of people don't like to be called out on their bullshit, and I'm firm believer that you gotta be called out on your bullshit, you know?
SPEAKER_03That's it. So long on um on your Instagram post you can get real political. So you talk about patriarchy. How do you feel about patriarchy and grappities?
SPEAKER_02Oh, I don't I don't like to um really mix the two, but just because I know there's writers out there that are Trump lovers, so I'm not gonna step on nobody's toes, but I will No, not like that, but I'm talking about like, you know patriarchy patriarchy, right?
SPEAKER_03Now how God Like men? Yeah. How do you feel about it?
SPEAKER_02Like, well, if you want to talk about that, um we can talk about it being a dominant it being a dominant thing in the in the male in the graffiti game, right? Uh-huh. Right? Yeah. But um How do I feel about that? That's a tough one. I don't I'm I'm a one-man gang. I sh shout out to everybody, the men and the women. I just feel like um well what's your question on that? Like, get it enlightened me more. Like why do I feel what? In the game? How do I feel about because I don't really like men. I think they're aliens, but um what do you why are you with the biggest thing? I just men men can be men can be a handful, you know?
SPEAKER_03And so your baby daddies are all aliens too, or are they different?
SPEAKER_02They're good men. Shout out to both my baby daddies, but um just just just um give me an example, like how do how do I feel about it? Like um I mean an example I can give you is like give me something to to to to fall back to.
SPEAKER_03I guess the only thing that comes up is like I got like for example, I got a homegirl that wants to, she's new to graph, right? She wants to be taught graffiti. So she's been approaching the guys for their help. But the guys have been telling her, you know, you gotta get a my crew for you to help, for me to help you, right? And she's like, nah. Or they want to hook up with her so they can help her. So she's like, nah.
SPEAKER_02And you think that has a lot to do with that? Because men have the last say? Is that what you're saying?
SPEAKER_03Or or no no no, I'm just saying, like, I'm saying, like, how do you feel about that kind of energy?
SPEAKER_02That's why it's important for women to have their own crews, right? And um, damn, that sucks. I've man, I've I've never been in a position like that, but I've been in a position where, like, hey, sleep with me, and because I'm born out with it. Not like that. I'm taking you to spots. Not like that. Right?
SPEAKER_03They're just like, you know, like they're thirsty. Super. See, she's looking good, and they're like, okay, let me see what I can get.
SPEAKER_02Well, that's always gonna be around, right? It's I think it's up to the women to put boundaries on these type of men that approach us like that. Because I'm telling you, I've been approached like that too, but um, it's how you move. It can I be honest with you? Um, ah, I don't know if your friend has social media, right?
SPEAKER_03She does.
SPEAKER_02Shout out to her. I don't know if she's a sexy chick or a mysterious chick, right? Because there's two types of graphers. There's a chick that likes to post her body and post her spots and her in the ladder, and then there's a chick that don't even post nothing about herself.
SPEAKER_04I think she posts both.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so shout out to her, cutie. But see, I think men are quick to be like, oh, she's easy. Let me let me hit her DM.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Based off profile pictures. I think that's what bothers me about men. I can't I think they can judge you by your profile.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02They like to do that.
SPEAKER_03They do that to you.
SPEAKER_02People think I'm mean. People think I'm a bully. I don't know. Because I'm hardcore and I don't let myself and I defend myself and I'm always gonna talk about shit.
SPEAKER_03I think it's different. I think it's opposite.
SPEAKER_02I think that like I'm mean.
SPEAKER_03I think you got like a good heart, and I think you're like super soft, so you gotta be extra hard on the outside to protect you.
SPEAKER_02There you go. There you go, but I just feel like I'm a big ass, nice, I'm a nice person. Like I'm I may not be.
SPEAKER_03I think there's a word that describes you though. Yeah, that word is passionate.
SPEAKER_02You know what? I take that back. I I actually take that back. I'm a good person. I may not be nice all the time, but I but I am a good person, right?
SPEAKER_03Everybody has a good impressive.
SPEAKER_02But you know, people always think I'm like, I'm cool as fuck, but I just feel like a lot of bitches hate me because they want to be my friend. Get to know me, join me, add me, like Cynadine. Like, I don't bite, but I just feel like because I have that stigma and be like, oh, that's that's insight. She be talking shit to everybody. Oh, nobody likes her because she has an opinion on everybody. Oh, she thinks she's a shit. I am. Because I can back it up. Come at me, like come at me, like come at me, like what you want to go at it? Come at me. Like, let's run that shit. You want to get down, run it. We can we can do it, we can get down how you want to get down, right? However you want it, whenever you want it.
SPEAKER_03Feel me? What does graffiti do for you?
SPEAKER_02Oh, I mean, for me.
SPEAKER_03Is it therapy?
SPEAKER_02Is it you know, to each its own, but to me, I I love graffiti because it's always it's it's um it's always been part of my life, and and I hate to sound corny as fuck, but it's never left my sight. It's always been there for me through the good, the bad, the ugly.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, I think it's it comes so second nature to me. I don't even I don't even I'm like catching the spot, I'm like, oh god damn it. It's so second nature to me. It's I don't even realize I'm fucking doing it sometimes. And my that's why I tell you I don't know how to stop.
SPEAKER_03So, what's the sexiest thing about graffiti that you like?
SPEAKER_02What's the sexiest thing about graffiti? What is the sexiest thing about graffiti? My friends, I think feeding I think meeting beautiful women is the Sexiest thing. Hi friend, I love you. Shout out to um my homegirl ground. Late. Did you find parking? That's my friend Growl. Growl that's sight. We're doing an interview as we speak.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, Growl just pulled up.
SPEAKER_02Growl just pulled up. Shout out to my homegirl ground, baby.
unknownIs this a dream?
SPEAKER_02Yes, enjoy.
SPEAKER_03So um it's it's okay. You know what?
SPEAKER_02I don't think there's anything sexy about graffiti but women. I think graffiti's raw. I think it's uh I think graffiti is um I think it's um it's very melt dominated, it's real, it's real like beefy. Like, you know, motherfuckers don't like to get along sometimes. Motherfuckers do get along, and even foods from crews. I don't gotta name drop, but I know crews that these foods don't even get along.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Horrible. Couldn't ever be me. Taking the trash out. So there's really nothing sexy about graffiti. I think just the beautiful women that come from it. I think that's the best part of graffiti, meeting beautiful women. Other than that, I think it's horrible. Don't do it.
SPEAKER_03So there's nothing romantic about it.
SPEAKER_02I mean, okay, maybe you said sexy. One thing romantic is I met I met I met my baby daddy through graffiti. Shout out to my man. Um shout out to my man Flo. I actually met, oh god, unfortunately, I met my baby daddy through graffiti, and I think um the most beautiful thing were my kids. So I think that's the only good thing that came out of it. But um romantically, even these schools are trash. But some of them are good. I'm not gonna bash on them.
SPEAKER_03I mean like when you're out in the night.
SPEAKER_02Some of them, you know.
SPEAKER_03When you're out in the night, you know, maybe it's just me. Maybe it's just I see it as romantic and sexual. Talk to me, talk to me. I think it's dope. I think it's like when I go hit a wall, I'm either fucking it or I'm making love to it. You know?
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_03I'm paying attention to it, I'm tracing the lines on my eyes. I'm smelling it, I'm inhaling it, I'm tasting it.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_03So that's what it is. Like, that's to me. But to you, if that's what's sexy and what's romantic about it, teaching.
SPEAKER_02You know, I to yeah, just because my man, I'm just when I paint, I I love it. Don't get me wrong. There's been, but those are for chill spots, right? Okay. Where I'm I don't have to go like that. That's the beauty of it when you when you're at a river or where you're doing a production. You know, my crew and I, we don't really do productions. We do hot spots and we gotta dodge the motherfucking cops where we're running and sweating our balls off. So I don't think that's sexy. You know, we're running we're like sweat sweating like men and shit. I don't really think so. You feel me? So I feel like that aspect of it is different for everybody. Shout out to the people that think it's sexy, but for me, I I'm I'm not there to do a production at a hotspot. I can't be there for an hour. I gotta I'm doing my spot in 10 minutes and I'm out. At a black in a black book, and you know what? This is I'm gonna say it's some controversial shit. I'm not a piecer at all. I'm gonna do a piece in a black book, and I'm really good at piecing. I have two fonts, I'll do like an old English and um my wild style. But I don't drop it unless I'm at a chill spot. I need a practice or it's a book. Okay. I I don't tweet your tongue. Shout out to all the piecers. Like I have piecer homies, shout out to them. But my thing is let me hit that spot, next spot, let me get up to the next spot, next. I'd rather hit ten spots in one night than one or two. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'd rather hit like you know, nine spots than three, you know, because I gotta be there three hours and I'm not down for none of that. So I got shit to do. I got shit to do today, like Kat Williams says, you feel me? So yeah, that's you know, to each its own.
SPEAKER_03Alright, so like what's your tool of choice out of the three? Is it uh scribe, streak, spray cane? No why?
SPEAKER_02Because I have kids, I'm always gonna say um street uh scribe. I'm gonna do the scribe. It's the most low-key. Um it's it I like spots that rock moms. I feel like when I'm at that gas station pumping, I'm always gonna catch that shit. So my scribe is in my keychain, it's in my car in front of the steering wheel. It's straight, it looks like a pencil. I could take it. So the scribe. I got cans in the trunk, but because I'm usually with the kids, I gotta uh what's your favorite spray can? Well, I don't I I I don't have a choice but to use Rostolium because I rack it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So Rustolium is a choice and kills for sure for the bricks, for the hard, for the for the stubborn walls. We're we're we move to the kills for sure. And the turbos are my favorite. I love turbos with all my soul.
SPEAKER_03And what's your favorite tip? Turbos. Turbos? Turbos. I never heard no turbos.
SPEAKER_02They're the Rostoleums that are tall and the tips are long and it sprays like this fat. I have one in the car, I'll show you when we get down.
SPEAKER_03You know, you can see that. Can you Google the deep?
SPEAKER_02I got you. No, it comes with an adapter. Yeah, yeah, it's like the best thing ever invented. But you know what? Um They're expensive, but I I mean I don't buy them, I you know, I those uh I get sponsored by the Home Depot, so it these are just savage, and the way they spray is very intense. And shout out to the let me show you the tip. I want to show you the tip. This is a savage tip, it sprays massively. But this is it?
SPEAKER_03No, I've never seen a turbo before. I never seen that shit. They got those at Home Depot, yeah.
SPEAKER_02But they're ma they're the they're they're massive, you know, they're the long ones. Yeah, see?
SPEAKER_03I see that.
SPEAKER_02No, I know and and they spray um straight. So if you're a calligrapher, yeah, I just use them to whack. I love whacking the enemies on that. That's my favorite shit to do. I love whacking the enemies of the turbos. You know, with me, it's a turbo. Oh man. So shout out to the turbos. For sure.
SPEAKER_03Wow. Um any crews? Any artists that inspire you besides your your brothers?
SPEAKER_02I don't uh my man inspires me. Shout out to Flo. He's um so talented. Um the spy this uh shout out to my homegirls. Um, they inspire me to be um a bad bitch. My homegirl baby is um uh an amazing piecer.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_02Um she does like off like you know, like writers off the top of the dome. She's like one of those. That could never be me. Shout out to her. Shout out to um you know, I don't know this person. I've never met this person, but I I I I like their style. Sabi.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_02I I love I like this style. Other than that, I I like I'm I'm my own inspiration for sure.
SPEAKER_03So how you feel about the um the oceanwide towers being bought?
SPEAKER_02Oh man, you know what? It's so funny that you brew that up because I think they're making a big mistake just because um I was just telling the girls um I think I want to go hit it. Like I dare them to to to take my shit out.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I take pride in my peace.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um shout out to those towers. That was a fun ass night. Let's get into that. Um I was with um a former crewmate of mine, and um I remember they went viral quick, like first night. And I told my former crewmate, dude, if you don't come tonight with me, like don't even hit me up. Because like if we don't go now, by tomorrow, it's done. Like, I know, I'm I know what's up. I know how my city moves. It would have been obliterated. So I said, It's day one. They've killed it. If we don't hit day two, like, don't even dare. It was the raining that night too, a little bit. Sprinkle, sprinkle, sprinkle me that. And she was just running. We met at the spot and I'm rushed that shit. We did it. It was it was it was a trip. We hit that shit. Um, dope as fuck. I I don't regret it. It was a dope ass night, and um, I wish I would have gone with my crewmates, but everybody has their own schedules, and I understand everybody works. Shout out to all the writers that have a job and hold it down, you know. Um but I wish I would have gone deep. I wish I would have done like a production with my crew, but it is what it is, and I'm glad that I did my piece in Iraq. Well, how long has it been? I want to say going on two years that it was like that. Yeah, yeah. And my piece never got bug. You know, uh, shout out to all the crews that went in deep and dip the whole top to bottom. I was like, I'm gonna be so hot if they buff me. I was I was in love.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Because I was at the angle where the the metro station was facing it, and everybody was trying to get the hot boys, so shout out to shout out to them. But my shit rocked. I'm gonna show you some pictures right now. I heard a couple gunshots, but it didn't scare me. We we I wasn't lacking with my homegirl, but it was it was an experience for sure. Uh it was funny going up there. There was fools running out. Oh my god! Me and my homegirl were like all dug down, like we're good, we're good. And we we were it was pretty scary. There was no lights, but we did it, and we were in and out of me. Shout out to the towers. One of my favorite spots that year. Um I'm gonna say it. Oh yeah, shout out to that. I'm gonna say it. I was actually um I was four months pregnant with my son.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I heard about it.
SPEAKER_02I was four months pregnant with my baby, and um, shout out to that. We were up there and shout out to my baby, like it was a workout.
SPEAKER_03Shout out, shout out to So how is it to be painful when you're pregnant? Is it is it harder to do that?
SPEAKER_02I don't know how to stop. I already told you, I don't know how to stop. I mean, you know what? I'm burning calories. Okay, I'm going up the ladder, I'm doing the baby's getting some out of it. We all win. Yeah, we all win. But uh, I do I did take it easy during my pregnancy. But during my pregnancy, I was just on lookout. And uh, you know, and shout out to my man, you know, if I ever want to do something crazy, you were pregnant, you can't smell the paint. So he he he got me, he he he had my back through all my pregnancy.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like you were wearing masks and all that shit?
SPEAKER_02Damn by no mask, but I know shout out shout out to the people that wore masks, I guess. But I'm not one of those people.
SPEAKER_03I sorry, I don't know. Was the baby kicking me? Was the baby kicking and moving when you were?
SPEAKER_02This was so active.
SPEAKER_03He's such a trip.
SPEAKER_02My baby, shout out to my baby son, he's a good kid.
SPEAKER_03He's uh he's he's an excellent student in his class, so like it didn't affect him that if your kids wanna be born again into graffiti, you gonna you gonna raise them? You gonna tell them to do it or not do it?
SPEAKER_02You know, um my my first my first baby daddy um travels and does graffiti for a living. He travels with uh his crewmates and a bunch of other crews from um like UTI I think and uh a couple guys from BRU. They travel for work and they do graffiti for work, and not literal graffiti, but they do our work for um a restaurant. Yeah, and they travel. So my son sees that. Yeah, and I've always asked myself the same question. He's never asked me that, but my right now they're against it, right? Yeah, from what I see. Oh, I can't believe you do that. What a waste of time. And I've been oh thank you, Jesus. So I'll never stop them, but if they they want to do it, I mean hey, go ahead. Good luck. And I warn them that you know it's not a good thing to do, but um, I don't think they're gonna take that route. I think I've done such a such a great job in redirecting my kids' path in life. So I don't think they're interested in that at all. Yeah, I keep them busy with other things, extracurricular activities, and yeah.
SPEAKER_04For sure. Okay.
SPEAKER_02But I'm not opposed to it. If they want to do it, go ahead.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_02You know, they have a bunch of OGs to look out for them, but it won't be fun in 10 years, I'll tell you that much.
SPEAKER_03Why is it that?
SPEAKER_02I just think graffiti is not what it was 10, 20, 30 years ago.
SPEAKER_03What is it now?
SPEAKER_02I just feel like it's burnt out. I feel like social media has a lot to do with it. Um, it's a burn. Spots get whacked faster.
SPEAKER_03Uh you speaking for LA or you speaking for I mean, I'm from California.
SPEAKER_02I'm only speaking for my city. I don't know what goes on in Oregon and New York. Shout out to all my homies in New York. Woo woo. Um, you know who you are. But um, I don't know. I speak for LA. Um it's just so watered down. Sorry.
SPEAKER_03Do you think that uh I think it's so watered down.
SPEAKER_02I'm not dropping no names, but yeah.
SPEAKER_03You know you got the Olympics coming back at 20 in 2028, right? So do you think they're gonna reactivate the task force?
SPEAKER_02I think because there's so much going on with ice, fuck ice. Um, I don't think I think that's the last thing on their mind. Uh and I say that because they're getting real petty.
SPEAKER_03They're they're they're starting to they're about to start cracking down? Cracking down the homeless people. Trying to clean that up. Oh and they're buffing a lot of shit in downtown LA and around the areas where the Olympics are gonna be.
SPEAKER_02I just feel like it's a phase and I feel like once they leave, once the Olympics how long are the Olympics? Do you guys know how much? Like a day or a week?
SPEAKER_03Nah, nah, that's just like for a month, right?
SPEAKER_02You lying. You lying. I thought it was like an hour long. I thought it was like one game.
SPEAKER_03The Olympics.
SPEAKER_02Word?
SPEAKER_03Nah, it's like 50 games.
SPEAKER_02I've been living under rock under like you got uh. So I okay, my thing on that, I think it's a phase, and I think they're just gonna buff that month, and when they dip, I think we're back to destruction. I don't I don't think Gavin or Karen give a damn about us. Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass, they don't give a damn about us. I think it's just for for I think it's talk. Okay. Um just like they did in Mexico with the with the World Cup. Okay. They weren't even able to stream the World Cup. They weren't allowed to stream it. So, um it's just a phase. I think we'll be back to destruction right after it's gone. Yeah. I don't think graffiti's the liability like uh the food with the AK-47 in South Central, Sunny Crack.
SPEAKER_03I don't think I mean when they were raiding people back then in 06 and 05.
SPEAKER_02You know, a shout out to you and my brother and your generation because you guys ran so we can walk, right? And I and I say that because I'm part of both generations. I saw what my brother had to go through. I saw. But I also see this now, how watered down it is, how trash it is, right? So you shout out to you guys because it you guys have to run so we can walk. Look, straight up, we'll be at a spot, they'll roll us up, get the fuck out of here.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Or they'll be like, you got five minutes. If I pass by, you're all going to jail. I'll be like, bitches, y'all better hurry the fuck up, and we and you know, and we're out of there.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02We get away with a lot. Shout out to all the girls that get uh away with all the tickets. I'm sorry for all the men that can't relate. But um the women are usually get a little bit less of a we just get a little slap in the groups.
SPEAKER_03I see that. You feel me?
SPEAKER_02So even with me, I mean, I got I got I've never been hot with graffiti up until last year. I got a ticket. I got caught in the stupid ass I got caught in the bridge. They gave me a ticket.
SPEAKER_01Would you like something to drink? Right? No, I'm okay. You sure?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you don't want you don't want nothing to drink?
SPEAKER_01No, I'm gonna do it. I didn't realize how late it was. We're gonna be doing last call really soon. Do you guys think you want another drink?
SPEAKER_03You guys want something to drink or eat from here? No?
SPEAKER_01You sure? A water, a juice, this drink? I'm good with this water. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Okay. So you guys are good? I think we're good.
SPEAKER_01Thank you, yeah. Can I take the menus? Yes, of course. Thank you. How is it?
unknownIt was good.
SPEAKER_05You're right. So can I take a minute?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Thank you.
SPEAKER_03So, like I'm gonna wrap this up real quick. But who do you give a shout out to? Who do you want to give a shout out to? Oh now you give a shout out to your crew already.
SPEAKER_02I want to give a shout out to my 10,000 baby that I'm just kidding, I just got to. Um shout out to you for sure for having me. Shout out to I I hope that you continue to interview OGs and what a shame to other people that interview new booties.
SPEAKER_03Who would you want me to interview?
SPEAKER_02Who do I want I want you to interview? If you had a choice, uh you're putting me on blast.
SPEAKER_03Why not? Why?
SPEAKER_02Who do who do I want you to interview?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I mean, you you seem like you're pretty uh intelligent.
SPEAKER_02I think I would want you to interview what do you want me to interview?
SPEAKER_03Um what comes to mind?
SPEAKER_02Man, you know what would be dope? Okay, I'm not gonna give you a name, but it would be super dope if you had like a room full of female writers. Okay, okay, that'll be cool. Do I have a specific name in mind? I don't right now, but it would be cool to eventually maybe have some, you know, everybody in the same room. You can't because everybody's catty, like I told you.
SPEAKER_03What you mean? We got you got three.
SPEAKER_02Send a message with 35 females and everybody's been like insight star, I'm not going because they're scared of three girls right here though. They're scared of growl, they're scared of baby.
SPEAKER_03We got three girls right here though. Yeah, we can do a group of a group interview right here.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we can. Yeah, we but they're closing, so we would have to relocate, but I'm so you know.
SPEAKER_03We can go somewhere else. For sure.
SPEAKER_02But who would I want you to interview? Um I think it'd be dope just have a whole crew in general, like a crew meeting for sure.
SPEAKER_03A crew meeting. A crew meeting, it would be so dope. You want a crew meeting?
SPEAKER_00Well, we got one that's crashing out and one that's uh, you know, in love, so we're we gotta just take it day by day right now, okay?
SPEAKER_02You know what I mean? But um I don't want to drop a name because then they're gonna think I have a crush on that person, so I'll say it off record.
SPEAKER_03No, they're not. They're not gonna say that. Um say it.
SPEAKER_02I don't have anybody in mine right now. Oh no. I'm gonna stand off record. Oh, you're so funny, Sai. Shout out to you for sure. Shout out to my crew, shout out to Dai, shout out to my homegirl baby, shout out to everybody in HB. Um, shout out to uh all the moms in general, anybody that and shout out to anybody that's holding it down in the graph game. Um you know, if you don't have your household on hold and you put graffiti before anything, I think you're trash. I think balance is everything. Shout out to all the writers that have balance that can that can balance a home, a job, and graffiti.
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_02Shout out to them, shout out to all the lookouts. Shout out to all the homies that don't paint, but are the lookouts, shout out to them. They're the reality.
SPEAKER_03I got one last question for you. Very controversial. Give it to me.
SPEAKER_02I love that shit.
SPEAKER_03How important is beef and graffiti?
SPEAKER_02Man, you know what? I'm I don't complain about beef. Uh I I they whack me. They whack me. Do we need it?
SPEAKER_03Do we need it or is it important or is it not important?
SPEAKER_02I think it's very important to have beef in the streets. It makes people um I mean it uh take a beef, uh the graffiti beef, if you can handle it, it takes the trash out itself.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Because only the strong survive, right?
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_02You know, I met a lot of I have this phrase, a lot of I met a lot of COVID writers that didn't last. They were just COVID writers.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And uh um even person personally speaking, you know, even in former crewmates of mine, yeah, folded, folded immediately, the beef got tough, shit got sh shit hit the fan, bitches wanna drop, bye. Couldn't ever be me. So only the strong survive, and shout out to all the real fucking killers out there. Okay, shout out to the killers out there for sure, you know.
SPEAKER_03What what is what is mama what is mama crew doing tonight?
SPEAKER_02We're gonna go. What are we gonna do tonight, ladies? We're probably just gonna go cap a few enemies and maybe just go look for look for some spots. I got like four enemy spots jotted down already. I mean, but I do. Yeah, I have them in my notes. You wanna see it? I got like five spots what I that I got that I gotta go patrol. I like to patrol my spots. Um I'm one of those.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_02I like to go get pictures, probably gonna go get pictures. She did a piece last week that uh I I wanna go touch up because we didn't have enough cans. Shit like that.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um I gotta clean up a spot. Okay. So going back to beef, I don't complain about it. Um, it's part of the game. Stick to it. If you can't handle the beef, get out of it, get out, get out of the game, you know. If you can't handle beef, then that's part of it. I'm never gonna complain of it. It sucks. Cause they whack my shit. But I have enough cans that I rack to keep up. These bitches gotta bite paint, and I don't. So it ain't nothing to me, you know.
SPEAKER_03Well, I just want to say I appreciate you. I appreciate you so much.
SPEAKER_00For sure, I really did. They're kicking us out.
SPEAKER_03Appreciate you putting on the makeup, doing your hair.
SPEAKER_00Um, it's in me every day. Stop.
SPEAKER_03Nah, it ain't here right now. Just on Saturdays. Super like just on Saturdays, super geeked up.
SPEAKER_01Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_02You're a funny sight. Shout out to you for sure. Shout out to your crew. Um you guys were in New York recently. One of my homies in New York was telling me that he was. Shout out to my homie Sayo from New York. He was telling me that he was out there with y'all.
SPEAKER_03We'll be back in the next one. Shout out to y'all in a few weeks.
SPEAKER_02Shout out to y'all. Me and baby are gonna take a trip out there in a couple months. Okay. So I want to say October. Right, baby, we're going to New York in October. Paircast is gonna be there too, so it's we're gonna have a ball.
SPEAKER_03Alright, inside. Thank you for having me.
SPEAKER_02You're amazing for sure.
