We often hear that boundaries are unloving, but in a broken world, the law is our greatest protection. Today, we dive into the spiritual importance of illegal immigration through the lens of national safety. If no one is above the law, then the law must be the standard for everyone who enters because a nation without borders is a house without walls. We discuss how enforcing our immigration laws is an act of stewardship over our country's safety and a way to bring glory to God.

Hello everyone, welcome to Redeeming Evil, where we not only confront evil, but find a way to redeem it through the glory of the Holy Spirit and the sanctity of God's mighty word. I hope everyone out there is doing absolutely amazing today. I hope that your week has been filled with love and with mind-blowing blessings that only God Himself can give. My name is Jay, and I am your host for the show. And when I say I feel so very honored that you have taken the time to listen to what I have to say today. Now, this is one of those episodes I did warn you about in my introductory video. If any of you have had the chance to check that out, where I just had truly something because I'm all hyped up about a topic that has been searing a hole through my mind and through my heart. And that topic happens to be something our entire nation seems to have an opinion on. And that topic happens to be immigration. And hey, that is great. I love when people are passionate about something, about a common issue that many of us may not agree with each other on. But I feel that as Americans, we are fully able to have our own opinions, and that is perfectly fine. We should all respect each other, we should all show love for each other, even when we find ourselves at odds on a particular subject. There's no need to hate. There truly isn't people. So let's just embrace our invaluable right to free speech and treat it as the treasure it is. Because, hey, isn't this a great country where our hearts and our dreams know no limits and where freedom is the pillar of this great nation? We are so blessed to have this wonderful country, our United States of America. Because I don't know about any of you folks out there, but I love my country. This country is sacred. It is a privilege to live here. And most importantly, it is a blessing from God Himself. And as a proud American, as someone who absolutely hates evil and lawlessness in every single way possible, I just really felt as if I needed to speak out today. And that's exactly what I'm going to do. So I'm not going to go into a whole lot about myself because I did already release enough to where I think you get the idea of who I am and what I stand for. But before I do start today, I did want to re-elaborate my purpose for creating this channel in case someone out there may be tuning in for the very first time. So redeeming evil is exactly as it sounds taking something bad, something profoundly wicked, something evil. And then through the wisdom and guidance of God's holy unmatchable word, finding a way to redeem it, to find some kind of purpose, some kind of light, some kind of resolution that can come from acts of darkness in our world and also from our own transgressions. Now I feel as if I have been called by God to not only expose evil, but to confront it head on, to fight against it, because I hate evil so much. I hate what it does to our country, I hate what it does to our relationships, to our families, and to our society as a whole. So I am just wanting to take a bold stand against it. I want to take a bold stand against evil because it is meant to be confronted and it is meant to be eliminated. And the only way that it can be eliminated is through people like us, people who are willing to speak out against that evil and fight like hell against it, because that is what we are called to do. We are called to expose evil. We are called to expose the unfruitful works of darkness. We are not to partake in them, we are to expose them. So that's exactly what I want to do here. So, like I said, I would like to talk about this very sensitive, very fragile, very divisive, and very fiery issue of illegal immigration in our country. Now, again, I am more than aware that everyone has their own opinions on this. And even though I do not agree with a very large majority of people out there, I do still respect that everyone has a right to feel the way they want to feel about this topic. And my hope is that we can have healthy dialogue without tempers running rampant every turn whenever this issue is brought up. And quite honestly, I actually feel that deep down within all of our hearts, we may just actually want the exact same thing to an extent. But it's just not being clearly conveyed as such. And the way our government has gone about this, whether you're on the right or whether you're on the left, has sparked obvious anger and outrage among the many members of our country. But my stance is it doesn't have to be this way. It absolutely doesn't. Not if we all work towards a common and nationally agreed solution. So I did just want to lay a bit of that foundation there before I continue. And I'm sure, or at least I hope, that it can be at least somewhat mutually respected. Now, first and foremost, I do want to extend my deepest sympathies to anyone who has been hurt on either side of the spectrum, whether you're a protester or an immigrant or whether you're an agent of our government who is only trying to carry out their duties as a law enforcement official for anyone who has been hurt by the satanic evil that has gone on in Minnesota or any other city where there seems to be wars going on like this among us. I want to extend my deepest sympathies and my condolences and utmost compassion to everyone involved. I truly do wish none of this would have happened, and I wish even more so that it would absolutely stop. Now, for the record, this world is so corrupt. It is so contentious, so controversial, and it completely breaks my heart. I absolutely hate what's going on because you know it's really hard when you turn on the TV and all you see are wars, civil wars, wars against nations, which I know the Bible says that those things will happen. So it's obvious that we have to be prepared for them. We absolutely do. But when I see the unrest and the civil discord that goes on in our country, I have no choice but to speak out because I want to be a champion for the kingdom of heaven. I want to at least try and bring some love and some peace to a very difficult and very emotional situation. You guys, God is so great. He is so infinitely wise and so extremely sovereign. He gives life in abundance and he loves each and every one of us all the same, so much so that he gave his one and only son to die on the cross for our sins. Jesus died knowing that the things that we are going through right now would happen, and he carried the full weight of it on the cross all the way to his last breath. And because he saved my life so profoundly, I want to at least try and be a voice for him, to fight for him, for his kingdom, his word, his purposes, his righteousness. Because let me tell you, he did not create us to live in division like this. He did not create us to hate each other or to live lawlessly like this. He did not create us to rebel against himself. He created us to be part of his divine family, his prize, his glorious masterpiece, his love. And it is to him that we owe our lives, our hearts, our souls, our everything. And it is with him in my heart that I speak with you today. So I'll be darned if I'm going to let evil get the upper hand on us in this situation of immigration. And I'll be darned if I'm going to let evil get the upper hand on anything else. We must understand God's love and we must understand the need for upholding justice. Because when we do, eyes will be opened and ears will finally hear what the Spirit of God is trying to tell us. Now, I think it's really important, very important actually, in every situation, in every conflict, in every life event, to discover what the Bible says about the issue at hand, because it truly does give guidance to everything that we ourselves cannot get to on our own. The word of God, the word of life, our daily bread says that we are to respect our governing authorities because they are not put in power for no reason, folks. They are put in power to execute law and order so that we can live safely in the land in which we live. And I know that all too well, trust me, because when you don't respect the law or authority, when you don't adhere to the rules set before you, bad things are going to happen. It's absolutely inevitable. And sadly, that is what we have seen happen in Minnesota and in many other areas across the country and even across the world. To say I don't have compassion for immigrants or illegal immigrants, even is a bold-faced lie. If anyone out there ever wants to label me as such, that is an absolute lie and complete misrepresentation of my character. I have much compassion for all people, no matter who you are, but I really, really do respect our law. I respect the rule of law. I know that no one is above the law. I was never above the law. I paid for what I did because I broke the law. I could easily try pulling cards out to say, oh, I, you know, I was, you know, I was a drug addict because of this, and I shouldn't have had to go to jail because of that. But that's not the way the laws of our land work. The laws of our land work to protect us, to protect its citizens, to hold people accountable for breaking those laws. Laws that we are all accountable to and responsible for adhering to. And sadly, some of our own governing officials can't even do that themselves. For example, the governor of Minnesota, Tim Walls, boy, would I love to speak out against the governor of this state. In my opinion, he by no means handled the recent string of events regarding immigration in his state well whatsoever. And it's also my opinion that he's not the only one to have handled it so poorly. ICE agents have been deployed to apprehend people that are here illegally. And I'm not going to say that they have done it right every time because I'm sure they haven't. I don't even know, to be honest, because the way one side paints something is completely different than the way another side paints it. And a lot of times you don't know what to think or what to believe. You don't know if someone was killed in cold-blooded fashion or if it was because someone brought a dog to the fight to a protest and ended up obstructing justice with the result being a tragic casualty. And never, ever should anyone die as a result of something like this. Never should anyone get their finger bit off. It's just so deeply sad and senseless on both sides. Again, this is where unity becomes key because how in the world are we going to get this country in order when everyone is at war with the next person who doesn't agree with their points of view? A house divided cannot stand people. And we need to stand together, especially in perilous times like these. We must be advocates, not just for love, but we must be powerhouses for marrying that love with justice. Because you see, when someone breaks a law, another person will always suffer. There's just no way around it. And I know that sometimes the person who is breaking the law may be in a season of suffering as well. Trust me, I'm aware of that more than you can know. Because when I was addicted to drugs, I was one of those people. I know what it's like. But compassion can sometimes become a sin when justice is removed from the equation. Because without law, without order, without adherence to those laws and to that order, another person will always become a victim by the illegal actions of another person, even if what they're doing seems like the best option for their situation at the time. For example, if you knew that a person was selling drugs to people who were absolutely crippled by the disease of addiction, including kids, mind you, would you turn the other cheek and not do something about it if the reason the drug dealer is selling the drugs was to provide for his family, as in that was the only way possible for that person in their own minds to put food on the table for their family? Now, I would certainly hope not, because as a person who used to be deathly addicted to methamphetamine, I would hope that my life and the lives of others would mean something to you as well and that justice would trump the compassion that you would feel for the drug dealer. Now, I use this example, of course, to illustrate a point. Again, someone always pays when another person breaks the law. And to be honest, I personally don't see a whole lot of compassion in championing or aiding and abetting people to break the laws of our land because it doesn't end up well for anyone at all. Isaiah 520 says, Woo unto them that call evil good and good evil, that put darkness for light and light for darkness, that put better for sweet and sweet for better. And that's sadly what has happened in this national crisis of illegal immigration that we are living with today. People label coming into the country absent from going through the proper righteous legal process good. And then when law enforcement executes justice because of those laws being broken, people call them thugs and label them as evil. Now, this to me makes no sense and is a perfect example of the warning brought forth from Isaiah 520. At the 2024 Republican National Convention, Michael Morin, the brother of 37-year-old Rachel Morin, a mother of five and woman of immense beauty, who was savagely murdered by an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, would speak about his beautiful sister and said something that really stood out to me. He would say, and I quote, open borders are often portrayed as compassionate and virtuous, but there is nothing compassionate about allowing violent criminals into our country and robbing children of their mother, end quote. Now I'd have to imagine that every single family which has lost a loved one due to the horrific actions of an illegal immigrant, most likely feel the same way because if not for that person coming to our country illegally, you know, breaking the rule of law, their loved one would still be here, would still be alive today. There would not be an empty spot at the table where love, happiness, laughter, and joy just flowed like an avalanche at some point in their lives, filled their home to the absolute brim. When that precious individual, that precious daughter or son, wife, husband, mom, dad once sat and was a source of that light that completed their families. But because the rule of law was not upheld, was not respected, there is now a hole in their family that no person can ever, ever fill. And to know that it could have been avoided must make their pain even more profound. My heart absolutely aches for each and every one of them. There is nothing good that comes out of breaking the law, nor is there anything good that comes from obstructing the justice that must be served as a result of breaking those laws. And again, I know these things all too well. I truly do, because I've been on the receiving end of both. I broke the law for over 10 years of my life and suffered incredible punishments as a result. I went to jail multiple times, prison three times, was separated from my family, always lived a life where looking over my shoulder became my sixth sense. It was horrible. There was no freedom in it whatsoever. There was no joy in it at all because an innocent person usually never has to worry, but someone who has the weight of lawlessness on their conscience never fails to take a glance. It's not a life I wish for anyone. And I'm so very grateful that my first instinct when I see law enforcement now is to smile and be grateful that there is nothing I have to be concerned about anymore because I delight in the law and I delight even more in following those laws. And as good citizens of this country, as blessed stewards of this beautiful land, we should forever champion absolutely every person that is here in our nation to uphold the rule of law, to follow the laws of our land, and to respect authority because they are put in place for our good. Never does anything good come from obstructing justice either. Even when you feel an injustice has been done by an officer of the law in carrying out those duties. I once was arrested for doing something I didn't do in the middle of doing something worse. I was scared, I was confused, I was in complete shock. I thought I was in a bad dream, to be quite honest with you, and I thought the police were the bad guys, not me. Like even though they had caught me in a felonious activity, I didn't feel like it was fair that I was being arrested because I simply was innocent of what they had come to arrest me for. And you know what I did? My delusional self took off running with my hands cuffed behind my back, didn't make it very far, mind you, maybe 10 feet or less, I would say, before I ended up getting tackled by about three officers, split my lip when my face hit the ground, got blood all down my clothes and on the floor. And you know what? If I would have just allowed officers to perform their job, would have respected their authority instead of taking matters into my own hands, none of what transpired would have happened whatsoever. And so you know I am not in any way bringing up this example to compare my situation with anyone else, especially those who have suffered way more than I have. Now, what I am trying to convey is that when you get involved or in the way of officers of our country doing their job, sadly, bad things do happen. And sometimes those things are so heartbreaking, so devastating, so absolutely sad. And I can understand how it can lead to so much passion and so much, you know, unrest because no one wants to see a person get hurt and no one certainly wants to see a person die at the hands of another person. The law has been put in place to keep us safe. And when people break the law, they have to be apprehended, they have to face the penalties of the laws that they have broken. I mean, to be quite honest with you folks, I spent five years of my life behind bars, and that's not even counting the time I spent in county jail, whether it was in state prison or federal prison. I served my time because I broke the law. And that is the price that you shall pay for breaking the law, and that is the price that anyone shall pay for breaking the law. It doesn't matter who you are, it doesn't matter what you've done, it doesn't matter how much worse you think one crime is than another. Every law must be fully followed and respected across the board. And that is the same for people who come into our country illegally, if not for the Biden administration, allowing all of these people across the border. And I have a lot of compassion for those people, by the way, because they were basically lied to and given false hope. Like, come on over, come on over. And you know what? Because of that, we have people in our country that we don't even have documentation of. We don't even know who they are, we don't know what they have done, what illegal actions they may have committed in the past. And because of that, innocent people have died in our country. Rachel Morin, Lakin Riley, amongst so many others. I mean, one thing I would really like to ask anyone that is old enough to even remember the impact, the trauma, the unimaginable evil of this horrific day. September 11th, 2001, 19 Islamic terrorists took our planes, our aircrafts, and flew them into some of our country's most greatest buildings because they not only wanted to destroy them, but they wanted to destroy us. They wanted to kill us. And you know what? They did. They pulled off what they set their minds to do. And because of that, our country was forever changed. And I'm just telling you, with my heart completely bare and naked for everyone to see, I never ever want that to happen again. I never want that kind of horror to meet the fates of any of our citizens ever again. We cannot allow anyone in our country that has the intent, that kind of intent to do harm, to do anything like that to us ever again. And it is quite possible that a lot of people that have come into our country could be people that have that mentality. In fact, it has been proven, it has been proven that these kind of people have come into our country, and that is very, very scary. It really, really is. For those of you who are not old enough or even alive on that tragic day in September, and to those of you who are alive and shared in the heartbreak of that horrific day when so many of our citizens, so many of our great Americans were killed, do you honestly want to take that chance of something like this happening again? I don't. With all my heart, I don't. And I know that there are some really good people here that have immigrated to our country. And to be quite honest with you, I do wish that they could stay. But the fact of the matter is, when you come over the border illegally, you are breaking the law every single day that you are here. And in the interest of justice and the rule of law, those actions absolutely cannot be overlooked. But on the other side of that, I truly do call upon the Trump administration or any administration that is to come to please not only, you know, execute justice right now and do it peacefully, humanely, kindly, graciously, and compassionately, as I feel the majority of immigrants have been treated, but I do ask you to take it a step further than that. I ask you to please make an easier, faster, more streamlined process for these people to come back, especially for those that have self-deported, especially if they did what they were supposed to do. I ask you to provide a quicker way so that they can contribute to our country and pursue the American dream because my heart breaks for them. My heart goes out to anyone that was, you know, basically lied to by being told, oh yeah, you can come over here. It's not a big deal. It's not a big deal if you break the rule of law. I feel for those people. My heart hurts for those people. And simply it's just not fair that they have had to endure what they have had to endure. And I do wholeheartedly blame the Biden administration for that. I honestly feel that they should be held to the fullest extent of the law for what has happened in this very terrible situation. Because if not for their actions, for any of you out there that understand causation, if any of you understand that, you would know that if not for the actions of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, these people would not be going through what they are going through right now. And we would not have people in our country that are here to hurt us. And I'm not saying all of them, so please do not take my words out of context here. I am talking about the people that are here and want to inflict harm on us. Again, Lakin Riley, Rachel Morin, two innocent women that just went out for a walk or a jog, just went out and did what they did on any normal day, viciously killed by violent illegal immigrants. And if not for them coming into our country, these two beautiful women would still be alive. And so often I feel like they are forgotten in all of this. And it breaks my heart completely. It breaks my heart that they are forgotten along with anyone else that has met an untimely death at the hands of this kind of evil. These souls are not treasured as the beautiful creations of God that they are, that they were. It's so sad to say they were because they should still be. They should still be here right now. Lakin Riley should be a nurse. She should have graduated and she should be living out her dreams. Rachel Moran, mother of five children, should be taking care of her kids, being a mom, doing everything that she enjoyed in this life, loving God, serving people. Because let me tell you guys something. Everything that I have heard about these two beautiful women are genuine and special. And now their families are without them. Just because two people came into our country that should not have been here, that did not go through a proper vetting process. And to anyone who wants to defend anyone that commits these kinds of actions against the people of our country, I want to ask you why. Why do you think it's okay? Why do you think it's okay for people that are here, that should not be here, that are criminals to be in our country illegally? I mean, think about it. What if that was your daughter, your sister, your mother, your friend? I mean, do you really want any of your loved ones to be in danger of going through something like that? And again, I do not speak to the good immigrants that have come over here. I don't speak of you at all. Yes, the ones that have come over here illegally should be sent back because there has to be a punishment for breaking the law. I paid the penalties for what I did and everyone else should as well. The rule of law means that no one is above the law. So even if you are not a U.S. citizen but are here in our country, why? Why are you any different? Why should people that are born in this country, that are citizens of this country, why should we have to pay the price for committing crimes, but then other people shouldn't? It's not fair. And to be quite honest, it's offensive. It's offensive to people who have served their time, especially those that have changed their lives around, people like me, people that have defeated lives of crime so that they can now be advocates for justice. People that delight in the same law that at one time was actually their enemy, because you know what? The law saves it, saved me. It saves lives every single day. And it is this life-saving law that will continue to save lives as long as it is respected and upheld. So please wear our law like a badge on your heart, wear it like a crown, because the law is always meant for the good of you and for the other citizens of our country. What I'd like to do now is read from the holy word of God so that we can be changed by it, so that we can gain wisdom from it, so that we can also become enlightened by the truth. For as Psalm 119, verse 105 says, Your word, O Lord, is a lamp to my feet and a light unto my path. And I can assure you guys that it truly is. Now I'm going to be reading from the book of Romans, chapter 13, starting at verse one. Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore, whoever resists the authority, resist the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God's minister to you for good, but if you do evil, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain, for he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath, but also for conscience' sake. For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God's ministers, attending continually to this very thing. Render therefore to all their due, taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor. Now I want to be really clear that although I did speak the scripture, even though I did share this with you today, I am by no means saying that people should not protest when they don't agree with something that is going on in which they themselves are very passionate about, especially if you feel as if a wrong has been done to another person. We absolutely have that right as Americans and as human beings alone, but we must do so peacefully because violence is never the answer. We never ever want to repay an evil deed with another act of evil because that does not balance out the skills of justice whatsoever. The only thing I really am saying though is that we are commanded in the Bible to respect authority, for they are appointed to us for our good. And yes, I know that there are officers out there that may not go about their duties or their position of authority in the right way whatsoever. In fact, I am actually convinced that some people use their power at times to unleash all the evil that resides within their own hearts by their own depravity. But I'm not out there to see what each and every one of these officers are doing, to see how they are handling themselves, just like all of us aren't. We can't be everywhere at the same time like God can. And so you know, Romans 12, 19 does promise us that vengeance is God's. Again, we are commanded to respect our governing authorities. And when we don't, bad things are going to happen. And that is why I did share my own personal account of trying to evade police with you today. And I really do want to say from the bottom of my heart, I know I already said this, but I just want to bring it home again here for you that I in no way was trying to compare what I went through on that day as a result of my stupid actions to what other people have gone through as of late. I in no way am trying to compare myself to anybody that has suffered or lost their lives. My experience was very, very small compared to what a lot of people have lived through lately. I was only trying to share my lived experience to at least some level with the subject matter at hand because I do know full and well that nothing good can ever happen when you try to put yourself in the way of law enforcement doing their job. And again, I really do want you to know that one of the bigger reasons that I am saying all of this is because I truly, with all of my heart, with all of my soul, do not want to see another person get hurt. I don't want to see protesters get hurt. I don't want to see immigrants get hurt. And I certainly don't want to see any of our law enforcement officers get hurt either because life is beautiful. It is such a gift that God has given us. And I want everyone to live an abundant life. I want everyone out there to be safe. And that includes the foreigner. I really, really do want the foreigner to be able to come over to our country legally and experience the beautiful American dream that so many of us get to experience each and every day in our lives. We live in a country that is such a gift. And I know a lot of people may not see it that way for whatever reason that is, but I do ask you to please open your eyes. Look at the many blessings that we have been given in this great country that we are so fortunate to have. We have free speech, and that is something I hold like a treasure to my heart, just like we all should. The freedom, the freedom that we have in these great United States of America is a gift from above. It is a gift from Almighty God Himself. And I want everyone to be able to experience that freedom. But let me tell you, folks, freedom is not free, and it is absolutely worth fighting for because if you don't fight for freedom, it may just be gone one day. And as a true patriot, as a lover of the law, as a child of the Most High God, I will fight for that freedom for as long as I have breath, and I will fight for my God even more because it is a fight that is absolutely worth everything to me. I pray for a country where no one lives in fear. I pray for a country that is united. I pray for our law enforcement that they be honored, not just because of their job title, but because of the righteousness of their character. I pray for a country where immigrants can easily, but with proper betting, experience the American dream. I pray for a country where the rule of law is upheld and respected, for an America that is free from hate and evil. I pray for a country that is rooted and grounded in love, and for that love to be our beacon of light, the chandelier of our country, the shining light that guides us out of the darkness so that we can all be unified. And even though we may not all agree, can we all just come together and let love conquer? Please, Lord Jesus, pour out your spirit and let it be so. And please, Lord, comfort the families of all that we have lost. Thank you so much for tuning in to this episode of Redeeming Evil. And until next time, may you be blessed beyond measure, and may the Lord sustain your heart, your mind, your body, and everything that you do, especially those things that you do for Him. Take care, everyone. This is Jay signing off.
