So today we're talking about mighty in God. So we'll take our text from Second Corinthians chapter four. And we would look 2 Corinthians chapter 10. I beg your pardon. 10. We will go from 1 to 6, 3 and 4 are the work with, but to kind of help us give context to the passage. It's usually important that we read it in context. Okay. Second Corinthians chapter 10, from verse 1 to 6. Praise God. All right. Here begins the reading of God's word. Since now I Paul, myself, I'm pleading with you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am lowly among you, but being absent I'm bold towards you. But I beg you. Um okay, let me do this. Let's take it in the message translation, and then I'll read three, four, and five in the New King James because I want you to understand what we're doing, okay? Now, you know one of the reasons we moved out of the old King James version. Can anybody help me? Why don't we read the old King James version so much? Anybody? Yeah, because of the language, because you read with this um thou, you know, and and shouts, and then you're asking yourself, you know, actually, there's a passage of scriptures in Acts chapter 8, where um the Ethiopian eunuch was reading the book of Elijah, uh, of Isaiah, beg your pardon, and then he he somebody wanted to ask him if Stephen was gonna uh Philip Rather, who's that now? Philip, yes, Philip was gonna ask him if he understood what he was reading, and then he asked this way, Understandest thou what thou readest? I mean, that's how he asked him if he understood what he was reading. I think the question itself needs to be understood, yeah. So that's so that's the reason. So that's the reason we read other versions so that you can understand us now what thou readest. Yeah, so that that's why. So that's why I'm asking for a message transition, then we'll come back to New King James just to put context. Okay, so it says from verse one. Excellent. It says, and now a personal but most urgent matter, arrived in the gentle but firm spirit of Christ. Does this sound better? Oh, okay. I feel like you're beginning to understand it already. Excellent. It says, I hear that I am being painted as cringy and wishy-washy when I'm with you, but harsh and demanding when at a safe distance, writing letters. I'd like to give people understanding this better. You are okay, good. It says, Please don't force me to take a hard line when I am present with you. Don't think that I will hesitate a single minute to stand up to those who say I am an unprincipled opportunist. It says then they will have to eat their words. From verse 3, it says, The world is unprincipled, it's dog, it's dog out there. The world doesn't fight fair, but we don't leave or fight our battles that way. Never have and never will. The tools of a trade end for marketing or manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire massively corrupt culture. We use our powerful God tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of a life shaped by Christ. Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience into maturity. So let me now take three to five in the New King James version. Three to five in New King James. It says, For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. But the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down imagin arguments, and every thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. We're talking about mighty in God. Father, we are grateful for the opportunity to be gathered in your name and for those watching everywhere. We ask for your breath upon the teaching and the preaching of your word to the end, Lord, that we might understand what you've given us and that they are not ordinary tools, but they are mighty and effective in the warfare and to guarantee our victory all the days of our lives. We give you all the praise and we give you all the glory. Everyone that believes says, Amen. Paul was dealing with a situation here, and it kind of mirrors a bit of our lives, and that's why we take the text and apply it on the brother scale. Clearly, it was the apostle that God used to plant this church. But after some time, some people came in that were preaching all kinds of funny gospels and sometimes also trying to take advantage of the people, and then they were kind of tearing down Paul's ministry and making making little of his efforts and his contributions. And and and so Paul was dealing with some people almost discrediting his ministry, and then among the church, also some people were saying, Yeah, you know, for example, in 1 Corinthians, there was a story of a guy who was sleeping with his father's wife, and and and the church was quiet about it. So Paul wrote a strong letter rebuking the person and rebuking the church. Actually, the the Corinthian church was an interesting church, it was a it was a church that was spiritually gifted. They had the uh it was through them that we understand the nine gifts of the spirit because Paul had to teach them and help them understand what they had and the gifts that God had given them. At the same time, they were a very, very, very, very riot set of people, you see, and they were they were behaving like babies, and so he rebuked them quite some. Now, when the letters came and people read in another, some people say, Uh, you know, it's only letters that he can harass us. If it was here physically, he would not have been able to say so. Some of those feedback got back to Paul. So now he's writing and he's dealing with things, and he's saying, You guys mind yourselves, don't let me show up there and come and deal with you physically. And and then talking about how the other people were manipulating them, and then he now made the point that did not just reference that present situation, it was a it was a statement that referenced our entire lives as Christians because we know we are in a warfare, and that that that there's a battle going on, the devil and his cohorts want to destroy the world and destroy people, and that God has placed us here as his ambassadors to witness Christ, to witness light, so that darkness is dispelled and people's lives are better. Can I get an amen? We've been given a ministry of reconciliation to help people come to know God because the fool has said in his heart, there is no God. So there is a whole lot going on, and we're involved with the battle. So we've talked about the fact that we're supernatural people, we've talked about the fact that God has told us to take up his whole ammo in Ephesians chapter six, and and we've we've walked through all of that. So now, so so with that in mind, follow me as then we get into this. So Paul then says to them that even though we are in the world, we don't war after the world. In other words, even though we are here as human beings, the way we go about our business is not the way the world does it. It says it's dog eat dog out there. But for us, we've never fought our battles that way, and we never will. And it was trying to say the way we do things are different from the way the world does it. In fact, as you read through the book of Acts, early Christians were not called Christians, they were called the people of the way, because Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. And so there was a way they behaved, there was a way they lived, there was a way they did things, so much so that people called them the way, those way people, the way those people I kind of think it was, it was like a conversation that became a name, the way they did things. And when I gave my life to Christ, I got born again in 1992. And and what was interesting about that was there was a way Christians behaved that somehow you got to know they were they were Christians. There was a way Christians went about things that it was easy to identify who was saved from who was not saved. Today it's become a lot of confusion, today it's it's become quite a challenge. Today it's some ways become almost a tragedy that sometimes you can look at a Christian the way they do, the way they do things, and when they say they are Christians, you're like, No, this is a this is a this is bringing shame to the name of our God, not glory to his name. Don't forget that Christ had said in Matthew 5:16 that we should let our light so shine before all men that they may see. He says, The world will see it's possible to see your faith in action, it's possible to see your conviction in action, it's possible to see your persuasion in action. Faith can be visible, in fact, it can be visible so much so that one time in the expression of faith, the Bible says Jesus was ministering in a house and there was a guy that was impotent. His friend climbed the roof, tore off the roof to be able to lower him to Christ. And the Bible says, When Christ saw their faith, he saw that they were they were really looking for him, he saw that they believed he was able to heal them. So I went from the character to manifestation of trust, from character to an expectation of miracles, faith can be perceived. It's possible to see it. He said that they may see your good deeds and glorify God the way you do things that men will say, Thank God for that man, thank God for that woman. That is the way, and we are still people of the way. Can I get an amen? Are you following this now? Apostle Paul is saying to them, we don't do things the way the world does it, our way is different. And then now says, So, with regards to warfare, you must understand now, since we don't behave like them, the weapons of our warfare, they are not carnal. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, the instruments of our battle is not a carnal one. And and and and and and as I as I looked at that, and I'm gonna just bring that out in three ways because the first thing he said, if you in the in the message translation, he said it's not about manipulation. No, look at that again. It says that uh uh um um verse verse verse three message translation says the world is on principles, it's dog eat dog out there, the world doesn't fight fair, but we don't leave or fight about us that we never have and never will. The tools of a trade errant for marketing or manipulation. Now, what he was saying is that the way, the carnal way is marketing and manipulation. And of course, we're speaking from the context that some people were coming and making themselves bigger, some people claim to be apostles that were not apostles. He says these people were just braggadocious and and always inflating their egos and and making themselves bigger, bigger than they were. He says it's not for manipulation, we're not here trying to uh you know take advantage of it. Have you ever thought of some people who believe that the only way they can get promoted is to pull somebody down? Yeah, it's it's the way the world thinks. The world thinks if it doesn't get bad for somebody, it can't get good for you. There's a transliteration of that in my head. You see, some people think somebody needs to be demoted before they are promoted. Some people, you buy a car, they think it's their car you bought, you get married, they think it's their husband you married, you have a baby, they think it's their kids you have, you get a job, you think it's that job you got, you got a promotion, they think it's their promotion you got. But no, every child of God must know that there is enough in God, He is the El Shaddai God, and the meaning of Hell Shaddai is the multi-breasted God. And I've asked the question over the years how many breasts does God have, as many as his children. Each one has a dedicated hallelujah, glory to God. So the fact that somebody got it doesn't mean you will not get it, you will get where God designed for you to get to. You will be lifted in the name of Jesus. He said the world likes manipulation, but he says, No, that's not the way it is for us in the kingdom. We are not canal people, we don't manipulate, we don't, we don't lobby. I mean, I've worked before, I've I've had work work scenarios where you know you you come up with an idea and then you get to a meeting, and your boss takes credit for your idea and doesn't even mention that you that it came from you and that they're saluting him and saying, Whoa, fantastic idea, Mr. Brown, fantastic idea. And he's there grinning instead of saying, Well, it actually came from Mr. Luke. How many of you know what I'm talking about? Just there taking the glory. But my boss said to me when he said we were in a situation and he told us what to do. And he said, By the way, when you get to the meeting, I'm not gonna I'm gonna be myself. I don't know what you guys are doing. And then truly, you go to the meeting and they fired us a question. He to fire us a question. I'm like, Amen. That's the way the world works, but that's not the way it is for us, it's a carnal way of going about life. Can I get an Amen? So Paul then now, so he used the word carnal in that sense, all this manipulation and manipulating people and and trying to take advantage of people. He said it's a carnal way of going about things. The second time he described canal again, and trust me, was with the Corinthian Christian, and you find that this time in 1 Corinthians chapter 3. And again, what had happened was in 1 Corinthians chapter 3. Let me just walk you from verse 1 to 4. I want to just tell you a little bit back after that. So, Paul, like I said, had the use of God to found the Corinthian church, you remember? And then there was a man called Apollos. Apollos was a fantastic teacher of God's word. But Apollos uh um eventually got to know Christ, so he was a fantastic teacher of the old testament, and then he came to know about Christ, but you know the gift and the glories of God are without repentance. So, with that gift, he began to preach the new testament. So he got to Corinth, and then he was a teacher. What a word! All right, and then of course, some of them had new Peter and all of that. So, by the time Paul was not around, you see the text here, it says, And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people, but as to see the word again. What's that word? Carnal. Why was he calling them carnal? He said, As to babes in Christ, verse two I fed you with milk and not with solid food, for until now you were unable to receive it, and even now you are still unable. Verse three, it says, For you are still carnal, for where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men? So it says, one of the attributes of mere men are people who envy, who envy, who are envious of other people, who fight, that they're contentious, they are uh there's a word, you know, who who still have trouble everywhere. All right. He says, and they're divisions, they're they're divided. He said these people can't work in unity, they can't come together in a unit, they will always cause trouble. They never agree with everybody. You know, one time we we were we went for we went for a burial, and and it was funny to me because our poor uh uh the preacher had said it was better to go to the house of mourning than the house of rejoicing. He said, because when you attend a burial than a birth, than a birthday, he said burial will help you remember the end of life and hopefully help people to straighten up. By the grace of God, I've been a pastor for a few years now, and I've conducted quite some burials and some naming ceremonies, amen. And I've seen the transition between the church service and the reception. What a shock! Because in the service, people are all sober, but the moment we get into the reception, my god, and you're asking the question, what's going on here? That you, these children, there was no fight in the family until their dad died. All of a sudden, you know, this one, that one. So Paul was saying, Look, you guys are behaving like men. So I'm saying to you, I know you guys are never fought at any reception, you've always been good, and I'm so proud of you. Praise God. You never said they didn't give us drink, that giz dodo didn't get to this place, or or that, or that what's all those uh what's all those small jobs? I'm thinking of Canadian things now. Um you know, donuts and sushi didn't get here and all those, all those kind of things. Nobody fights over McDonald's, something, something here. Praise God. So it says it says it says that's how if you ever fought over food, that's how mere people do canal people. Verse 4 He says, For when one says, I am of Paul and another am of Apollos, I you not can out. Verse 5. He says, Who then is Paul and who is Apollos? For ministers through whom you believe, as the Lord gave to each one. He says, Look, you guys are missing the big point. Paul is for you, Apollos is for you. All of us, we are for we are God's gift to you. In fact, give me verse six. I think all our yours I planted Apollo's waters, but God gave the increase. Amen. So when there's division, there's wrath, there's there's envy, he said, This is this is not the way we fight our battles. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Accountable scripture of this is what you find in Galatians chapter 5, verse 19. Speaks of the works of the flesh. Galatians 5 from verse 19. It says, Now the works of the flesh are evidence, which are adultery, fornication, uncleanliness, lewdness. It says idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissections, heresies. It says envy, murders, drunkenness, revelies, and the like, of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. He's saying to them, look, this is not how. And see, some of those descriptions are a human natural reaction to things in the in the natural, you know, that look, he is done this for me. So I'm gonna, I'm gonna no, no, no, nobody can cheat me. Nobody, you know, people fight, people fight every time over different things, and all of those reactions. He says, Look, that's not how we do it in the kingdom, that's not how it works for us. The weapons of our warfare are not canal. They are not canal, they are not canal, they are not canal. The third expression of the word canal there is a literal thing for speaking of a natural way of fighting. In other words, you know, when people draw arms out and somebody get physicals, they actually go punching each other, stabbing each other, shooting each other, and all of this kind of says no, that's not that's not how it is for us. Uh uh Peter drew the hell, the seven or the priest or the high priest. And that's not how this kingdom works. That's not how it works. Just pick the hair and fix the and told Peter those who live by the sword will die by the sword. Don't go that route. That's not how we do it in the kingdom. He says, Look, if I wanted help, legions of angels would have showed up here right now. So he says, So don't bother, don't bother. That's not how we do it.

Now I said the things go far to battle battles, it's because they know they can. Usually they have maybe some training or some muscles. So a lot of times it gets into their heads and then they go that way. But he says, you know, that's not the way it works for us in the kingdom. If Peter didn't have that sword that day, he wouldn't have drawn it. So when people have weapons, it's it's there's a way, there's a way. That's why for you to be in the military, one of the assets of a military person is self-control. It is it is the ability to have strength and put it in check and say, We got it here. Yeah, that's why every because men are physically stronger, matured men must understand self-control. The fact that I have it does not mean I must use it against my family, it is for the defense of my family. Do you get what I'm saying? Matured women know the fact that they have mouths does not mean they should use it to hurt their family. Amen. Where are the soldiers of Christ? Somebody, somebody said we say we have strength under control. Amen. We we know you are not weak, amen. It's just under control because the weapons of our warfare are not you are getting thank you, Jesus. Amen. Amen. So it says it's not carnal, it's not physical, it's not fleshy. No, that's not what it is. It says the weapons are mighty through God. I love that, mighty through God, mighty through God. And and I just want to run through Ephesians 6 because we have talked about the weapons, that the armor of God before. And what He's saying to you, child of God, is that everything you have in God is mighty. And and the problem is because a lot of times Christians don't think we are that powerful. I've told you before how God said to me, Don't tell the people they are not as weak as they think. Because if you say they are not as weak as they think, it means they are weak. It's just not to the degree that they think. Tell them they are more powerful than they think, because it means they are powerful and more powerful than the level of strength or power that they think they have. In church, you are more powerful than you think, and the weapons of our warfare are mighty in God. Sometimes you think it is weak, and I want to go through that because as you look at the old armor in Ephesians 6, we started with the belt of uh the belt of truth, and sometimes when you are a truthful person, you may feel disadvantaged in the face of people who tell lies and seem like they're getting ahead. Oh, yeah, you it may look like you're the one losing, but don't be deceived. Truth is always beautiful. At the end of the day, righteousness will exalt a nation. Sin is a reproach. Truth will lift you, truth, truth will deliver you, truth will set you free. Can I get an amen? It is mighty in God, the truth of God's word is mighty. We talked about the the belt of truth, we talked about the breastplate of righteousness. That you remember that in Christ you're a new creature now. You have right standing with God, and you should have right living because of it. He says that thing is powerful, it is powerful. Do you know? We were still we were on a meeting uh yesterday, Pastor Lana and I were in a private counseling session, and and I we just we went back to this conversation, and I said to someone, I said, you know, if we die and get to heaven and find out that really holiness on earth makes no difference, that if we had lived anyhow, it will have made no difference, and then we get to everyone find out that righteousness, right living is not such a big deal. After all, I said it will still be a delight to live right. I said, because now what a peace I have in my heart that if I tell my wife I'm going somewhere, where I'm going is where I am going. When I come back, she didn't say, So, how was I was northeast? And I remember it was not easy. I said, Meanwhile, I went to or she says, How I was out there saying, Oh, southwest was very beautiful. Say, Southwest, you told me I'm going to north. Oh, yes, I mean I went to the north through the south, you know, and then you're looking for something, and I have to. Oh, are you listening to me? That I don't have to do an x-ray and they find a stick of cigarettes in my chest. Oh my god. Let me crack, let me crack you guys up with that. You know, when we when we got admitted into college, we had to do physical, we had to do some um uh what's that test, medical test, yeah. So we which included x-ray. We had a guy hundred level. He the guy was a chimney, he smoked so much. So by the time they brought his x-ray out, guys were saying they store a stick of cigarettes in this chest, you know, it was so funny because sometimes it's cloudy and all that, and all that, and all that. You know, there's so much you don't have to worry about because righteousness saves you all the trouble, all the trouble, all the trouble, all the trouble. It's a world sin is a world of trouble, it's a world of trouble. So it says it says, righteousness is mighty in God, it's mighty in God, and then we talked about having a fish shirt with the preparation of the gospel of peace. And we said, preaching this gospel is powerful. Paul said, I'm not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation. I'm glad somebody preached to me, it changed my life. I'm glad somebody told me about Christ, it changed my life. This gospel is powerful, and that's why I preach it too. Hallelujah! And I've seen lives change because of the gospel being preached. It is a gospel, and then he talked about the helmet of salvation. Oh, and we remember that our salvation is complete, isn't it? It is not partial, it is complete. Jesus finished all the work. I said he finished all the work. Glory to God. We talked about the shield of faith. Am I there right now? Okay, the MSM show, the sword of the spirit. Okay, uh, please take it back. Sorry, I think uh oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, I'm the one that jumped. Take it back. One step that he talked about the taking out the shield of faith. Woo! Hallelujah! The shield of faith with which we're able to quench all the very darts of the wicked. That the shield is powerful, and that your shield is not small, so that nothing can harm you. Before anything can hurt you, they have to hurt Jesus and it has to hurt God because your life is eating Christ Christ in God. So before anybody can harm you, you'll have to harm the Holy Ghost and harm Jesus and harm God, and then He can harm you. Your shield of faith must be up. You must believe God, He will do what He said He will do. Hallelujah. And then we talked about the Word of God, which is the sword of the Spirit, and that this word transforms us. Oh my god, that God's word is powerful. Yes, Hebrews 4 12 says, The word is quick and powerful. We talked about it, it is powerful. That you just by itself, it is powerful. God says, My word will not return to me void, it will prosper, it will make a difference. See, everything you're hearing this morning is changing you already. It never returns void, it is powerful. That's how the God's word is. So you read it for yourself, you find it for yourself. He said, God's word is potent. Hallelujah! And then we now talk about number seven, praying always. And and then as we got into that dimension of prayer, I thought to myself, the weapons of our warfare are not cannot, they are mighty in God. Prayer is mighty in God. James 5:16 says, The effective fabric prayer of the righteous man avails much, it makes difference. The the the the the the amplified says it makes tremendous power available that is dynamic in its working. It says your prayer is not just ritual, it is powerful. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, they are mighty. Listen, you don't need flesh, you have spirit, you're a powerful child of God. So, in the battles of life, don't be afraid. You have the whole armor, and it is potent enough, potent enough, potent enough. On on on Thursday, we were sharing, and one of our sisters was about to we're talking about trusting God and all, and she was about to share on waiting on the Lord for 10 years for the fruit of the womb. 10 years for the fruit of the womb, 10 years for the fruit of the womb. And you ask the question how did she make it through the word of God, the grace of God, and without adding, without without going through juju or voodoo or nothing, God is more than enough. God is more than enough. The battles of life, God is more than enough. The weapons you have is more than enough, and especially for those of us who have some family pressure sometimes, and they tell you, hey, you know, you got to do something about it, you have to go somewhere, you have to go underground. And I always like to tell them, you are doing something about it. In fact, you have done some. If you ever reported a case to God, you have done something about it. So family asks you, What are you doing? Say, don't worry. We've done a lot about it. Things are gonna change, and that we must remember when you are praying, you are doing much. The effectual father and prayer of the righteous man avails much. When you are praying, you are doing a lot, you are doing a lot, you are doing a lot, and I know some of you have been praying. We've been praying for Nigeria, praying for Canada, praying for your family. You are doing a lot already, and things will turn around in the name of Jesus. It is powerful, and he said it's so powerful, it will pull down strongholds. He says it will pull down strongholds, it'll pull down arguments, and so when he was talking to them, he said, Look, all the nonsense these guys are saying, don't worry, the weapons of our warfare. I'm not gonna be bragging like that, I'm just gonna teach God's word. I'm gonna you see, because this thing is enough. Eventually, if you tell people to choose, they will know the lie. You were saying, No, no, no, don't worry, I'm not gonna try to tell you. See, let's just stand on what is right, it's a matter of time, it will move, it will change. Hallelujah! And you talked about the entire massively corrupt culture. See, every time you look around us, I mean, this was this is so personal for me because there was a time I thought of Lord, darkness has covered the earth and gross darkness. The people in my days, I never knew I witnessed the day where Marijuana would become legal, where certain fantasy drugs will become legal. I never knew that a day would come where a 16-year-old and 18-year-old can say, now I'm of age, I can go and buy weed. I'm like, what are we talking about? And in spite of the many, okay, let me put, I want to say it two ways. In spite of the many claimed benefits of marijuana, and despite the long result of the effect of marijuana, I mean, I never knew. Do you know? Let me tease you with this. And and the medical the medical world is a little, it's crazy. The world is crazy, it's just gone upside down. Oh boy, I never knew that the day would come when all those kind of things will happen. Where you know, we had a I've been shocked and shocked in my little time. I got a guy, it was I think it was a midweek service, was preaching in Nigeria, in Ibado, Nigeria. And this guy came and gave his life to Christ. And by the time he came to see me in the office on Thursday, I would ask him what he did. And he told me he owned a tattoo palo in Ibado at the time. And it wasn't an ordinary tattoo palo, you could tattoo and piercing and all that. And people were piercing all kinds of places, piercing, you know, piercing, Navel, piercing, you know, piercing, people, people they call it bulldog or somebody else, you know, people pierce through, you know, people pierce and then he told me to tell you what he told me the parts that people pierce, and they put I'm like, what in you know? I looked at the bad on, it's like Calgary, calm, beautiful. It's the home of hospitality. What's going on there? Apart from power and and some recent kidnapping, anyway. But the the do you get what I'm saying? I could not believe it. I'm like darkness everywhere. And I said, Lord, my kids, when I was young, the only way you could see anything pornography was in a special magazine, and and you had to be add all together. And if your parents ever saw you, you you were as dead as dead. And I could not be, I mean, it's so funny. If you are not uncle, auntie, daddy, mommy, if you are not on top of your game, your kids are in trouble, trouble, full-time duty to help them navigate through this, and that they can actually come to talk to you. I mean, kids, thank God for kids who run to say, Mom, dad, I saw something, it's it's messing up in my head, and we can get them out of it. A lot of times, people get drowned in those things. Listen, the devil does not fight kids with small demons, and and that's a don't think that the devil arranges. You know, some of you you've seen angels, we they show you angels, cute angels, those things that look like bugs that have to, if that's the size of your angel, you're in trouble. And so sometimes you think that's the size of demon that the devil sends to kids. No, it's the devil, is the devil, is the devil. So you have to be on your game for yourself and for your generations. It is that that is the kind of battle we are in. And when I thought about it, I said, Lord, how do we save this generation? Second Corinthians 10:4 is where it is. It is mighty in God, the weapons God gave us, we are not ill-equipped for the battle. We are not ill-equipped, we're not under equipped for the battle. No, God gave us, and in fact, we have excess. We are, we are, you know how somebody you say, you say you don't bring gun to a knife fight. That's the kind of thing God gave us. We came with bazookas, we came with some some dangerous things, and you must so. My job this morning really is for you to know there's a bazooka in your hand, there's an AK 47 in your hand, figuratively, just for the sake of somebody, you must understand what we carry. Hallelujah! And the devil has a knife, so you can know that that what we have is great because at the name of Jesus, every knee will bow of things in heaven, of things on earth, of things underneath the earth, and every tongue will confess that Jesus that is great. There's nothing greater than that. I said, the name that you have is the greatest name, there's nothing greater than that. So at his name, sicknesses bow, at his name, nations bow. Let me read this to you. I I quoted this, I kind of paraphrased this on Thursday, but let me read this to you. It's the story of Mary, the Queen of Scots, famously said, she said, I feared the prayer of John Knox more than all the assembled armies of Europe. She said, I feared the prayers of John Knox more than all the assembled armies of Europe. All of them gathered themselves together, but I said, I know when that man prays, all these armies are useless. That is our heritage. I said, That is our heritage. That your prayer is greater than ammo tanks, and you must understand the weight, you must understand the weight, you must understand how powerful God has placed us. I was thinking about this. Let me round off with these two stories. I thought, and you when you remember first first Samuel 17 and David had to fight Goliath. Do you know the Bible told us somewhere in that story from uh from about about Saul trying to equip David with with his ammo? If you take the story, uh thank you, Jesus. From verse 38, let me just take 38. First Samuel 17, 38 to 40. It says first I'm not uh first Samuel 17. Did I say 17, 38 to 40? Yeah, okay, good. It says so Saul clothed David with his armor and he put a bronze helmet on his head. He also clothed him with a coat of what milk. So this is Saul's armor. He put to the guy was fully decked up. Verse 39. David fastened his sword to his armor and tried to walk, for he had not tested them. And David said to Saul, I cannot walk in this, for I have not tested. Have you have you have you tried a shoe, a pair of shoes that are very tight before? If and you thought you liked this, or you bought it, but said, No, it will expand, and then after two weeks, they say, Can we come up this step? He said, No, no, no, I'll come up the steps gently because you you have to do your feet were burning, but you are still a fine bottle, it's just that your feet were on fire. People appreciate that you're looking sharp, he said. They say yes. Let me not touch on ladies and the things they do to affect that tummy and everything, anyway. So you see, but the weapons of our warfare are not cannot. So David says, I can't walk with this. So verse 40, verse 40. Then he took his staff in his hand and he chose for himself five smooth stones from the brook and put them in a shepherd's bag in a pouch which he had, and his sling was in his hand, and he drew it to the Philistines to Goliath with a sling and stones. He dropped the sword, he dropped the shield, he dropped the armor, he dropped everything I just described in Ephesians 6. He dropped it. Because God is not tied to the as long as it is God's weapon, it is powerful. The breath of God on the sling is as potent as the javelin. Are you listening to what I'm saying? Because this is what God has given him, that was his weapon for that war. What has God given you? It is powerful, it is powerful, it is powerful. Hallelujah. Finally, second chronicles 20, verse 20. There's a story of Jehoshaphat and the and and and and and and Judah as they were confronted by the enemy and they had to fight this battle. Look at it in verse 20. From let's start from 20. Jehoshaphat spoke to the people in the morning. And so they arose early in the morning and went out to the wilderness of Tekoah. And as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established. Believe his prophet, and you shall prosper. They were about to fight the battle, and what he said to them is, Believe the Lord your God, have faith in God for the battles of life, have faith in God for your finance, have faith in God for your health, have faith in God, for your children, have faith in God. You must have faith. We are believers, so we believe. We live by faith. The job shall live by faith, have faith in faith. God, don't be a faithless Christian. For the battles you're in for that which will come, have faith, trust God for your future. Have faith in God. Believe the Lord your God, you shall be established. Believe his prophets, you shall prosper. Verse 21. And they were about to start this battle. And he consulted with the people and he appointed those who will sing to the Lord and who will praise the beauty of holiness as they went out before the army. He brought singers before the soldiers. Singers before the soldiers. Someone say singers before the ammo tank. Say singers. Before the battalion, singers, and what were they saying? Praise the Lord for his mercy, endures. Oh, where are my own singers this morning? Oh, so before the battle for the week, what are we gonna say? Praise the Lord for his mercy endures forever. Before we go into the second half of the year, what are we gonna say? Praise the Lord for his mercies endures forever. Hallelujah. He said, So before any challenge in your life, say thank you, Jesus. I was talking to one of my mentees, she couldn't believe it. She says, I said, You know what? We always say, say thank you, Jesus, because the word of us says, In everything, give thanks. That's how we fight our battles. That's how we fight our battles. It is not carnal, it is spiritual, it is prayer, it is praise. And then verse 22 says to us now when they began to sing and to praise the and to praise, the Lord sent ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Sea who had come against Judah, and they were defeated. They were singing, and God was fighting their battles for them. This is how we win, win, win. This is how we win. Listen, you see, when you when we tell you, let's lift up our voice. Some people think, some people think you know, sometimes when we go for prayer meeting, I tell people, can we just start by thanking God saying that's why we thank you for so long? I say, Let's pray, my brother. Your praise is stronger sometimes than your petitions. You must understand it to just even spend time giving him glory. They didn't have to write. Verse 23 tells us what happened. It says, As they were praising about the people of Ammon, three people came to fight. Three people came to fight, and then out of three, two of them stood up against one and they killed them and destroyed them. So when the two have finished one, they now faced each other. What a what a battle they now faced each other and they helped destroy one another. Verse 24. He says, So when Judah came to a place overlooking the wilderness, they looked toward the multitude, and there were what falling on the earth. What happened? Of three nations, not one escaped, and the people had not thrown any javelin. You will see victory wherever you turn to, you will see the hand of the Lord, you will see the glory of the Lord in the name of Jesus. Listen, your battle isn't just about my sharpest tongue, my muscles, it's about staying with the Lord and working with what He has given you and giving God praise and giving God glory and giving him honor and giving him adoration. Come on, praise him right now, praise him right now, praise him right now, praise him right now, praise him right now, praise him right now, praise him right now. The weapons of our warfare they're not carnal, praise him right now, but they are mighty. Your prayer is mighty, your prayer is mighty, your thanksgiving is mighty.
