And in fact, they went for like three thousand three thousand a Gucci suit, which definitely would have been, it was made for her, so it definitely would have been at least ten or twelve thousand. In the first place. Yeah. And I thought, wow, that went low. But yeah, but other things went ridiculously high. There was a little dog carved, a wooden dog, with a like a dome of glass over the top of it. No particular dog, no particular who made it, no artist. Went for like seven grand.

And uh we went on a uh well, we've been all over the place to be honest, but we did do a four-day cruise, yeah, which was fun. We went to Catalina, which was nice, and we went to Ensenada, Mexico, which was um Catalina was nice, and then we um now we're back, we went, we've been being tourists. I've I was at work today, so Lynn went for a manicure. So um you know, so doing the doing that beautiful. So it's been we've been busy, we've been running around, went to downtown, we went to see Debbie at uh uh restaurant. At the beach, um and so we went over there, did a uh whole tour of uh you know little things here and there in Hollywood. And ironically, it was uh Marilyn Monroe's 100th birthday uh this week, and we went and took a look at her grave in Westwood Cemetery or Westwood whatever it is in something. And uh we went and had a look at that, and it was I'd forgot it was a hundredth birthday, but we go and we turn the corner because there's the thing, and it was just full of big flowers and hearts and this and that and all this kind of stuff. Oh, that's um and it was uh someone bless them, someone they put this big they got this no they got this big uh heart-shaped wreath on a stand and put something like oh no, uh something like God bless you, Norman Jean.

And talking about Marilyn, Marilyn the at the Academy Museum, right? They just opened up a whole exhibition of hers. I haven't been yet. I think it starts. Yeah, it's like yeah, everything like clothes and accessories and the films and the you know, right her writings that she did, like journal, everything's there. It's supposed to be absolutely amazing. I went to go maybe this week.

Going back to auctions, I went to an auction years ago with Debbie to have a look at some stuff, and it was the Debbie Reynolds auction, and she had the dress uh you know her dress from the thing. So the seven-year-ich. Seven year itch, the one that the um flew with the flew up with the thing in the front. Air ducts. And that went for um me and Kate are currently demonstrating the air ducts. Yes, we're doing this, so you know what we're talking about. Um James is showing off his skirt, yeah. Yeah, um, like 6.2 million or something when we were there. So I mean you could get a lot of Diane Keaton's ties for that, you know. But uh yeah. So oh, that'd be cool. So are you gonna go?

But that's funny, her 100-year anniversary, her birthday would be we talked about Miles Davis. Yeah, he would be 100 this year, and then we also saw something at DeLargo, which was about um George Martin. George Martin was yeah.

Basically, we John C. Riley presented um the George Martin Scores, correct? Yeah, I think that's what it was called. Um, and it was these two these two blacks who were amazing Kevin Kevin Ryan and Brian Keyhew. Keyhew, who actually wrote some amazing books about the Beatles. They met George Martin through writing these books about the Beatles, and his son Giles Martin said, My dad has a big chest full of music scores that he personally did for the Beatles for their songs. Come to the house, have a look at them, and see if you want to do anything with them. So they went over to his house, they looked at them all, and they were like, could not believe it, you know, like open it up and it was like day in the life and strawberry field and the original scores of of these songs. They were like, Yes, we can do something. What they were gonna do, they wanted to do was do this put the sheets in like a big book. Basically, we're gonna write about the song and this and how because George was still alive when they started it, um, and write that. But anyway, in the end, this took 10 years to happen, and they talked about it all, and this book is now coming out, and you can buy it. And I don't know how much it is, but we will put the information down so you can go and have a look. But it comes in three different um prices of what you what you actually get. But the thing that really that I never realized, because what they were doing, they were they got they got an orchestra to go to um Abbey Road and they played just the score. So not anything of the of the Beatles, just the score, and then we listened to the score, and it was beautiful, you know, and then you'd go and then we'd know what song it was, and then sometimes you didn't know what song it was for a while, and you were like, What is this from? And then it'd oh my god. So their whole thing is trying to get sort of a concert together of just doing his scores. But what you don't realise is that the Beatles, they say Paul McCartney and um John Lennon wrote the you know, wrote these songs, not in the beginning, but once they went got as far as what uh uh Sergeant Pepper's, they used to do their bit, right? And then it go then they'd give it to George and John Lennon used to John Lennon used to say to him, go and put your rubbish on it, go and put all your yeah, as a uh you know, in England we'd say as a joke, and he'd say, Go and put do all your rubbish and put on it, put your rubbish on it, and then he'd go be working all night doing this amazing score, actually writing the score and creating the music to the Beatles songs. So, how the hell as a George Martin, not up as a songwriter, you know, as a as one of the writers of the songs.

I know, but he wrote the music. But saying that he's a composer, he's literally composed it.

Yes, because if you listen to the songs without that that bloody music talking. It's well, it's this obviously the them, they're for, but this beautiful the beautiful music that he's created is like kind of we didn't realise that this man was so talented, and he did actually write a very small composer piece called Little Boston, and they played it, and it is so beautiful. It's like something that we didn't know that George Martin was I mean, all everyone knew he was a fantastic music producer, but I don't think people I think it he got wiped out that what an absolute musical genius that man is. Okay, yeah.

And I I mean I'm I'm excited for it, but I think I was talking to someone the other day about it, and they're saying how hard it is to get, you know, one, it's hard to get tickets, two, it's ridiculously expensive. And three, there's not that much going on in LA that we'd give a shit about. So I think that because it's in like Canada, the US, Mexico, yeah. But it's like so it's all over the place. I think Boston's like a good city for it or something. Um, but anyway, I don't know what's on here that we would give a shit about, but uh so I imagine I'm gonna watch it on the TV anyway.

Right. And so I looked on the you know the Premier League and saw that Liverpool were above them. So I was like, well, that's gonna be my team because I'm gonna piss my brother off. And then I was mad, I was mad about Liverpool, sort of the uh Kevin Keegan, Emmeline Hughes, right? Bob Paisley, oh yeah, Bob Paisley, yeah. Number nine, Steve Highway was my heartthrob. Right. I just loved them anyway. But that's about it. So then I grew out of it, but World Cup, I am in it to win it, babe. If I can if I I watch if I try and watch most games, anyway.

It's sad just to watch it, you know, because of getting all that stuff out of how he died. But it is when you watch it, it's a sad movie, and but this beautiful performances. I mean, goodness Pelotro is like I mean, you couldn't have cast anybody else. Which is perfect for it. So perfect in this role. Yeah. No, great, great movie. So if you haven't seen it, Where's Anderson? Yeah. And you know what? We've got to throw another thing in here as well, which you can see because it's still on. This was just a one-off. Um if you go to Dorothy Chandler, Pavilion, yeah, the opera's there.

And the main thing I think that everybody has to do is uh use their own intuition and their own thought and don't listen to what everybody's saying and get dragged, you dragged down by people and what people are saying. You have to every critical thinking. We need to have critical thinking about what's going on, and that is what will get us through this period of time in our lives is very intense.
