Hey there. Welcome back to Praying for Them, Your God, fearing spouse. Today, I welcome you back into this space. Today I pray that God is in our space today. Amen. I'm praying that we can get down and personal today. Amen. As I told you all yesterday, we're going to be talking about the corner prayer, my breaking point. I'm getting real personal today because sometimes your breakthrough starts at your breaking point. Amen. You know that saying, I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. When you get tired of being sick and tired, that's when change comes. That's when the prayers truly come from the depth of your soul. So let us get into it. Let us open up in prayer. And then let us hear from the Lord through this episode. Honey Father, I pray that you meet us here in our breaking points, in our exhaustion, in our confusion, oh God. Speak to each and every one of us. Comfort us, Holy Father. Restore us, Honey Father. Build us up where we go, God. Honey Father, take the scales off our eyes so we can see you in your splendor fully. See you in your wonder fully, Honey Father. Honey Father, remind us that you are still present even in this space right now. Holy Father, we thank you so much for when we pray. We know that you hear and you answer our prayers in your due season. Lord, we thank you for this podcast. We thank you for this word. And we pray that you guide my tongue as I speak from this book. I pray. Amen. Amen. There was a moment in my life where I had nothing left. And I would say I had nothing left to give. But I had nothing left to give. I had no answers. I had no strength. I had no clarity. Just frustration and tears. And this is probably about the time I started going through my divorce, is when I started having those corner prayer moments. Amen. And I found myself standing in the corner of my bedroom. Not because I had a plan, not because I ran out of words. And all I could say was, God, I surrender. I had nothing left to give. I did everything I could. And I'm getting ahead of myself, but I'm getting, I did everything I could to save my marriage. I prayed, I fast, I asked for counseling. We did the separation period. But nothing was working. And I was like, God, I surrender. I don't have the answers. I don't even have the strength to fight anymore. And that's what I'm talking about. When you no longer can pray, when you no longer have the perfect words to say, just surrender. Just surrender. Surrender to God. When I had nothing left, I gave everything to God. And that moment changed me, my brothers and my sisters. Not because everything instantly got better, but because I stopped trying to carry it on my own. And I remember, and I'm sad noting, but I remember when, you know, everything was going wrong. I mean, I couldn't sleep. I refused to give up on the house and the marriage. And I'm just trusting and believing. I'm praying and I'm fasting, but I would not let go. Even though I'm praying for God to do this and do that. But God was like giving answers, but I kept blocking them because it wasn't what I wanted to hear. And I remember um my pastor at the time called me out of nowhere. And I had just walked into the bathroom downstairs, and he was like, Gail, you're gonna have to quit carrying all this stuff back yourself. I'm like, what are you talking about? He said, God don't put you in my spirit, and you got to quit trying to carry all this alone. Girl, you're gonna get sick trying to carry all this stuff by yourself. You gotta start talking to something about it. I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay. But I learned in that moment that I couldn't carry it all by myself. I was trying to be Shiva. I was trying to make everything right, I was trying to make everything perfect, but I couldn't. So I had to surrender. And sometimes God allows you to reach a breaking point so you can finally release what you've been holding on to. Because as long as you think you can handle it, guess what? You won't fully surrender. That corner became my old tub, that corner became my friend because it drew me closer to Christ, right? Hearing my pastor at the time telling me, you got to let this stuff go. And I never told anybody what was going on. You know what I'm saying? I truly was trying to do it on my own. I'm praying, but I'm not I'm not releasing to God. I'm praying, but I wasn't fully trusting him because I kept saying, Maybe if I do this, then maybe if we do that. I kept trying to fix it. I kept trying to mold it. And all God was saying was, let go. And so that's why I'm telling you, sometimes you get to that breaking point when you get tired of being sick and tired, when you get that cherry on the top and your whole Sunday come down, you will find some way to build an altar. And like I said, that corner became my altar, a place where I met God in my rawest form. I didn't have to pretend, I didn't have to perform. I was just being real and honest. And that's where real transformation begins, right? When you truly break down, when you truly let go. And some of you are in that place right now. You're tired, you're overwhelmed, you're confused, and you don't have the words anymore. You don't even know what to say, and that's okay because God doesn't need perfect words, He just needs you to surrender. And I'm gonna go to Hannah's prayer. Hannah is one of the most powerful prayers to me because she kept praying for a son, and every year she would go up there you know to the temple. They praying every year, and her husband was like, I'm giving you everything. Like, you have anything you ever want. I mean, you got the riches, you got the dresses, you got everything. And she was like, uh, I I want I want a son, I want my own. And she was praying every year, but then when she changed the way that she prayed, she went up to that temple to pray, but never opened up her mouth to pray. She was praying from the depths of her soul, praying from her heart. Her heart was crying out, her spirit was crying out, and Elijah, like, are you drunk? Like, your mouth is moving, but ain't nothing coming out. She was at her wit's end. And when you get to your wit's end, your prayers will be different. I'm telling you, there's been times in my life where I could be sitting on my couch and God will be nudging me to go in my room to pray. I'm not going in there. I'm not going. I mean, it is what it is. Whatever's gonna happen is gonna happen. And I could feel his spirit nudging me. Get in here and pray. You need to get in here. I'm like, no, I just can't, my mental. I'm just I'm gonna watch this TV and just let tomorrow worry about itself. And I remember I finally got up because the Spirit of God would not leave me alone, and I'm grateful for that. I went in my room and I turned on that gospel music, and my prayer wasn't even a prayer, it was a Hannah's prayer. I fell down to my knees, and all I could do was cry, and my soul and my spirit just released in prayer. I have no idea what my soul and spirit was saying, but it was crying out, and all I could do was allow it and just let go. Surrendered. I surrendered in my worship, I surrendered in my praise to God. Why? Because there was nothing else that I could do. I surrendered. And when I surrendered, peace came in the room instantly. I slept like a baby. You hear me? So I'm telling you before we close out in prayer, if you're at your breaking point right now, I'm telling you to pray from the depths of your soul. Cry out like Hannah. Just let your heart and your spirit pray for you. You ain't got to say words all the time when you go to our Lord and Savior. Just cry out. He can hear your cries, he can discern your cries. Just like a mother when their child falls off a bike or they hurt themselves. You it could be a 10,000 kids outside. But when your child cries, oh, you know that's your baby. God's the same way. When we cry out, he's I'm uh that's my baby. That's Brenda. Hold on. She's crying. I gotta see what's going on. And I'm grateful that we have a father that comes and says about us each and every day. Amen. Let us go to the Lord in prayer. God, oh God, oh God, how excellent is thy name. Father, I'm praying over the person that may be listening right now. For the person at their breaking point at their wit's end right now. Honey Father, I pray that you fill their space with your glory. Fill their space with your peace and your knowledge, your wisdom and understanding. When they don't have the words, hear their heart. When they don't have the words, listen to their spirit, oh God. When they feel weak, be their strength, oh God. For you said, when we are weak, you will make us strong. Holy Father, I pray that you give them the courage to say, I surrender. And God, I pray that you prepare them for their current and future spouse, oh God. Help them to see them in this very moment, I pray. Give them the blueprint of what they need to do in order to be transformed to be the spouse that you are calling them to be, Holy Father. Let them also be learning how to surrender in their own quiet moments before you, oh God. Bring them together, their spouses, their loved ones. Bring them together the right way, oh God. Help them be fully aligned to your will and way, Holy Father. God, I'm praying that you touch them, you deliver them, and you strengthen their relationship, Holy Father. Help them to be strong in your word, help them to study the word together. Lord, I pray that you will touch them, touch them, touch them right now, oh God. God, let them smile and be grateful that you gave them a God for an spouse. Amen. Thank you all for tuning in. Until tomorrow, you all have a blessed day. Tomorrow we will be talking about faith when you don't understand. Amen. Have a blessed day.
