Good evening. Welcome back to Praying for Them, Your Godfrey and Spouth. Take a moment to breathe. Slow down and just be present. We pray that God is sitting before you. We pray that He is speaking to you. And we pray that He fills this space with His glory. Amen. Whatever you tuned into this podcast carrying, whatever burden it is, we ask you to lay it down for just a moment. Today we're talking about trusting God when you don't understand what He's doing. Amen. Before, as always, before we get into it, we're going to pray and we're going to continue to break down chapter number three. Amen. And we're talking about a faith when you don't understand. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you honestly. For every moment we've questioned you, every time we didn't understand, every time we felt confused, we bring it to you right now, no God. We ask you to strengthen our faith right now. Teach us how to trust you, not just when things make sense, but when they don't. Calm our thoughts, settle our hearts, and help us lean on you completely, oh God. And God, I ask that you will lift up your lift up our future spouses and our current spouses, oh God. Wherever they are right now, teach them this same level of truth, the same level of favor, to trust you with all of their heart. Strengthen them in their unknown seasons, just like you are strengthening us, oh God. Touch each and every one of us, oh God, to be in your presence, to be in your word, to trust you fully. It is in Jesus Christ's name we pray. Amen. There's a part of surrender that doesn't get talked about enough, and it's this trusting God when you don't understand Him fully. Because let's be real, it's easy to trust God when things are going your way, when prayers are being answered, when doors are opening, when life feels like it's finally coming together. That kind of faith feels good, right? That kind of trust feels easy. But what about the seasons where nothing makes sense? When you're praying but you don't hear anything back, when you're waiting but nothing is moving, when you're trying, but everything feels like it's falling apart instead of coming together. That's where real faith begins. Because faith is not just about understanding, faith is about trusting God without needing an explanation, and that's hard, I know, because we like clarity, we like to know what's next, we like to understand the plan, we like to feel secure in what's coming, but God doesn't always work that way, right? Sometimes he will allow you to walk through a season where you don't have all the answers, not to confuse you, but to grow you. Because if God showed you everything, you wouldn't have no need for faith. If he gave you the full plan, you wouldn't need to trust him. If everything made sense, you wouldn't have to depend on him, right? And God doesn't want your control, he wants your trust. Let me say that again. God doesn't want your control, he wants your trust. I remember asking God, why does it feel like I keep going backwards? Why does it feel like I'm doing everything I can and it's still not working? I just couldn't understand what was going on. Going to church, pampers, praising and worshiping the Lord and doing what thus said the Lord to the best of my ability. And I'm like, okay, what am I doing wrong, God? And what I had to learn was this I wasn't going backwards, I was being repositioned, amen. Sometimes what feels like delay is actually alignment. Sometimes what feels like confusion is actually protection. Sometimes what feels like silence is actually God working behind the scenes. Because God sees what you don't see, He knows what you don't know, He understands what you can't yet understand. This is why we have to let go. And just because you don't see movement doesn't mean God isn't moving. Just because you don't hear Him clearly doesn't mean He's not speaking. Just because you don't understand the season doesn't mean it doesn't have purpose. Amen. Faith says this God, I trust you anyway. Even when it's uncomfortable, even when it's unclear, even when it doesn't feel good, because your feelings will lie to you. I'm telling you, your emotions will shift. One day you'll feel strong, the next day you'll feel discouraged, one day you'll feel confident, the next day you'll question everything. I've been or done that. I'm a living witness to that. That's why you cannot build your life on feelings, amen. You have to build your life on faith. And faith doesn't always look loud. Sometimes faith looks like getting up and trusting God again, praying even when you feel tired, waiting, even when you're frustrated, believing, even when you don't see anything changing. Some of you listening right now, you're in that exact place where I was. You've been waiting, you've been praying, you've been trying to stay faithful, but deep down you're tired, and you're wondering, God, when is this going to make some sense? And I want to encourage you right now. You may not understand it right now, but that doesn't mean it won't make sense later. God is not wasting this season, he's using it to build up your faith, to strengthen your patience, to prepare you for what's ahead. Because the truth is, my brothers and my sisters, if you got everything you wanted right now, without being prepared, you wouldn't be able to handle it. So instead of asking God, why is this happening? Try asking God, what are you teaching me right now? What are you developing in me right now? How are you positioning me to bring glory to you right now? How are you preparing me and equipped me for my future? That shift changes everything because now you're not just waiting, you're growing. And listen, God is not trying to harm you, He's not trying to confuse you, He's not trying to leave you in the dark, He's trying to build a faith in you that doesn't depend on circumstances, a faith that says, no matter what it looks like, I trust you, God. No matter what it looks like, I love you, Lord. No matter what it looks like, my faith is in you, my hope is in you, and I am walking by faith and not by sight. That kind of faith will carry you through anything in life. You got to have penetrating faith to make it through each and every day. Amen. Let's go to the Lord in prayer. God, we trust you. Even when we don't understand, even when we don't see it, even when it feels uncomfortable, oh God. Strengthen our faith in this very season right now. Help us not to rely on our own feelings, but to stand on your truth and your word. Give us peace in the waiting seasons. Give us clarity in the confusion. Give us confidence in your timing. Because you know the right time for everything, oh God. We don't want to run before you. We ain't trying to get ahead of you. We're trying to walk behind you, oh God. And God, right now we ask you to lift up our spouse right now. Teach them to walk by faith just like you are teaching us right now, no God. Strengthen them in their waiting season. Strengthen them where they are weak. Grow them in trusting you more each and every day. Align us both, oh God, in faith, obedience, and purpose. We surrender our need to understand everything right now, no God. And we choose to trust you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ's name. We pray. Amen. Well, we thank you all for tuning in again. I'm getting so excited that we're coming up on closing out chapter three. We got five more episodes to talk about this, but I'm so excited because I am relearning about myself through this process. I'm connecting back to God through this process, and then I'm back to questioning about myself through this process of waiting on the Lord, trusting in the Lord, and believing that the man God has for me is on the way. Hallelujah. Bless your name, Father. So I want you to keep on praying for your spouse. Keep on believing in your spouse, keep on uplifting your spouse until the Lord. And don't forget, God is equipping you and preparing you to during this season. Until we talk again tomorrow, have a blessed day. This is praying for them, your God fearing spouse.
