Good afternoon and welcome back to Praying for Them, Your God First Spouse. Today we're going to be talking about God will remove what doesn't belong. Amen. I thank you all for tuning in once again. I want you to take a deep breath with me. Because today we're talking about something that doesn't always feel good, but is very much needed in our life. Amen. And we're talking about letting go, releasing. And as always, we're going to pray before we get into this episode. Henny Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you with open hands and open hearts, oh God. Give us the strength to accept what you are removing from our lives. Heal every place in us that struggles with letting go. And teach us to trust your protection more than our preference, Henny Father. And God, we lift up our spouses to you right now, oh God. Protect them, guide them, and align their life with your will over their life, Heavenly Father. You are doing the same in ours, and we thank you for that, oh God, that you are aligning us to your will and your way, oh God. We thank you, we thank you, we thank you, and we glorify your name. Amen. Amen. This is part of surrender that nobody ever wants to talk about. And that is God will remove things from your life. And not everything God removes will feel good. Not everything God removes will make sense. Not everything God removes will feel fair, right? Sometimes it will be people, sometimes it will be relationships, sometimes it will be environments, sometimes it will be habits you thought were harmless, right? Sometimes it will be things you were emotionally attached to. Living witness to that once again. And when it happens, it can feel like loss, confusion, grief, right? Because we naturally assume that anything leaving our life must be something we needed. But that is not always true, my brothers and my sisters. Sometimes God removes things exactly because it was keeping us stuck in a season or time for an extended period of time that should not have been, right? Sometimes what God removes is what was distracting us from our purpose, distracting us from being in his presence, distracting us from taking a step forward, right? Sometimes what God removes is what was delaying our growth. And I know that's not easy to hear because we don't always recognize distraction while we're in it. We don't always recognize delay while we're attached to it. We don't always recognize protection while we're losing something, right? But God sees what you cannot see. He sees the direction of your life. He can see past the wall. Sometimes history is not the reason something stays, and sometimes comfort is not the reason something stays. Because if God left everything in your life that you were emotionally attached to, you might never move forward. And this is where trust becomes uncomfortable. Because trusting God means I trust you more than I trust what I'm losing. I trust your decision more than my emotions. I trust your removal more than my attachment, right? And that is not easy because release feels like grief, even when it's God removing it, right? But here is something you need to understand. If God removed it, it was not meant to stay in its current form in your life. Not every connection is covenant, not every relationship is assignment, not every door is meant to stay open, and not every season is meant to continue, right? Some of you are in a place right now that represents what I said above. Where God has been closing doors, our shifting relationships, our removing comfort zones, and you've been asking, God, why is this happening to me? But a better question is this, God, what are you protecting me from? What are you directing me, redirecting me toward? What are you trying to free me from, right? Because removal is not rejection, it is redirection. And redirection always feels uncomfortable in the beginning. I said this before, because you are leaving what you know to step into what you don't understand yet, right? But God does not remove without purpose, he does not take without reason, he does not close doors without intention, right? Even when it hurts, he is still protecting you. Even when it feels confusing, he is still guiding you. Even when it feels like loss, he is still leading you. Amen. And I need you to hear this clearly from my mouth. Sometimes God has to remove things from your life so you don't build your future on the wrong foundation. Because what feels comfortable now may not be compatible with where God is taking you. And if He doesn't remove it, you'll be stuck forever. Longer it stays, the longer it takes you to get to where God's trying to take you. So it is time to let go, release, and let God have his way. Let God continue to cleanse you from the inside out. Continue to surrender to God. God will remove what doesn't belong and just thank God. Even when he removes us, but God, I don't know why you're doing it, but I thank you. I thank you, Lord, for removing that. And I thank you, Lord, for doing that, and I thank you, Lord, for showing me the way. I thank you, Lord, for closing that door because God protects us when he removes things, amen. So don't look at it as God, why me? Just look at it like God, thank you. Thank you, Lord. You know why I don't, but you do, amen. Let us go to the Lord in prayer. Heavenly Father, we surrender what you are removing right now, even when it hurts, even when we don't understand, even when we want it to stay, oh God. Help us to trust in your timing, your protection over our preference, Heavenly Father. Heal every place in us that struggles with letting go. And God, we lift up our spouses to you right now, oh God. Remove anything from their lives that is not aligned with you, Heavenly Father. As you are doing the same in us, oh God, align us both with your will and your purpose. Amen. Thank you all for tuning in. Our final episode on this book is tomorrow, and that will be from surrender to transformation. Amen. Thank you all so much for following me along this journey. As always, if you have questions, comments, or need prayer, the email is in the description of this podcast, and you can email me at any time, and I will respond back to you in a timely manner. Until tomorrow, have a blessed day. This is Praying for Them, your God fearing spouse.
