So, Jimmy, here's a crazy story. Today, as we record this podcast, is my 14 years since I met Jesus and have been sober for the 14 years. And what it's done is as I've got older, there were times I had to get this, you know, I had to get dental work done. I was freshly sober staying at the Hart Motel, chilling in my aunt's car because I didn't even have a vehicle. I was working a part-time job. Right. And I used to sit out there and I would have to I was trying to learn how to talk again. And um when I would be out there, I would be listening to praise music, songs I liked, some Christian rap because that was helping me get my, you know, get my wording and enunciation down. But I would sit out there and God would show me these visions of me talking to people and the people being impacted in all these different ways. It made no sense to me because I had no desire to talk to anybody. I remember I was in a men's group and my friend knew my testimony, but I hadn't told people. And he he was like, and and one of the guys in the group was like, Hey, do you want to share your testimony? I was like, no. And then when I left, I felt convicted. So people sometimes will be like, Do you get nervous like when you're going to talk or whatever? It's like, I don't because I I don't know how to explain it, but me and the father have already been there. He's already taken me there. There's nothing I'm about to go to. Right. You know.
SPEAKER_02He hadn't already prepared you for.
SPEAKER_00He's already, we've been there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. And sort of, you know, shares right directly to the scripture, Jeremiah 29 and 11. I know the plans I have towards you. You see what I'm saying? Plans of peace. Uh plans of of prosper and give you an expected end. You know, that's the same thing he had to do with Moses. You know, Moses knew he had to call it. He just didn't know when he hit the man, you know what I'm saying? He knew I'm supposed to do something with my people. Um, he knew he had that desire in him. He just didn't know how to do it. That's why God had to put him on the backside of that mountain for 40 years. I need to strip you of you. And once I strip you of you, now go tell Pharaoh, let my people go. Now I'm gonna harden his heart because I want this to impact generations. You see what I'm saying? And and you know, my story is similar to yours. You know, before I even started this walk or doing anything that I'm doing, he showed it to me. You know, first time my heart really being open and receptive, you see what I'm saying, and being broken and coming to him like, hey, I'm broken in pieces, this is all I got. And as I'm listening to someone minister, you know, he he replaced that person who was like you that that's that's you. And I'm like, what is this going on here? You know what I'm saying? And and but over time, over time, what I what I see in my walk, bro, is you become the message.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02He gave you the message in your heart, you get what I'm saying, in the beginning. Um, he showed you little things, but as we mature, regardless if we make mistakes or not, his word shall not return to him void. You get what I'm saying? So we may not know how to do it in our own strength and our own mind, but he wants us to become the message, yeah. Just like Hagai. And that's what he does in our life, bro. And it's a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful journey to be. It's mind-blowing, isn't it? Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00To wake up and be like, where am I at? You know? Catching flights in Indiana, bro. You see what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_02I took a picture on the plane, like Lord. You say yes to the Lord, stay faithful, he will open doors that man cannot shut. And this is a testimony, a living testimony of that for me and my life and my family, bro. Sitting here with you today. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, it's not by accident. This is God, bro. And that's all that mattered to me.
SPEAKER_00That's that's that's all that matters, bro. That's a beautiful thing. And if you're listening, like you really need to grab a hold of that. Oh, man. How did so? How did you get to a place where you were stripped down to receive, like, for for for him to start showing you things that you would be doing and you know, start to work on a testimony?
SPEAKER_02Um, April 3rd, 2015. That was my day. Um that took something about April, isn't it? Yeah, April 3rd, 2015. Uh, matter of fact, you know, the world called a good Friday. We as believers know that was the worst Friday in the history, you know, uh of mankind. But um uh April 3rd, man, that was the day that I was broken down. Um, you know, I was uh, you know, I've been arrested several times. We all come from somewhere. I just like to be transparent. Yeah. So I've been arrested. You know, um, you know, we all have our different places that we come from. And mine, I wasn't addicted to any type of substance, anything. Well, mine was violence and street and you know, just the culture of all of this, you know. Yeah. And uh and I was the black sheep of the family, like I didn't know who my dad was, but right, we had a male stand with us who was the dad of everybody else in the house. So I'm the oldest of five brothers, but I'm the black sheep. I'm the only one with the name Hunt. I'm the only one that was dark-skinned, and and you know, and I was the only one that was graying at like 17. You get what I'm saying? So I'm trying to figure out who I am. Like, like what's going on. So it started with that, and just going through all this hard hardness, man, and resentment and who am I, and you know, all this good stuff. But in 2015, bro, I got married young. I got married young, didn't know what we were doing. Uh, but God brought us together. Now it's been 30 years. You see what I'm saying? Congratulations on that. That's why I give God all the glory, man. Because the more she used to say, Hey, you going to church with me today? Oh no, I'm not going to church. You get what I'm saying? Yeah. Because I always had that faith. But when I went to these Baptist churches or whatnot, what would happen? I would go in, and because of the reputation I built, you know, streetwise and fighting, he bad, you know, all that little stuff, but whatever. When I went to the church, because I wanted to know who he was, oh, we got Jimmy in here today. Give God praise. He is and I'm in the back row, like, man, why are they calling me out? Like, oh, I ain't coming back. You know what I mean? It didn't go. You know what I'm saying? That that pushed me away more than anything. But I've always I was always curious. And I wasn't raised in the church. My parents didn't go to church. I was raised, bro, and there's no knockoff or give them, you know what I'm saying? And it's not nobody's fault, it's just the way things were. But bro, I was raised on how to curse, drink, fight. You know what I mean? They were going to clubs every weekend. And but the entire time I was loading up speakers and music equipped. Because my stepdad had what you call polio. So he couldn't walk like we walk. He had crutches. So the only way he can make a little extra income is he would DJ Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, every single weekend. And I would be loading up this DJ equipment in the van, and I used to hate it, bro. Yeah. Man, these big old PV speakers, you're running those speakers, and you got to get the monitor. And I mean, I used to, man, but did that, but all the time, man, this is this is what was putting in me. He was he was doing what he was doing, bro. Speaking in front of people, third grade. Um, you know, my teacher, well, hey, Jimmy, get up and do this, get up and say that. I never had a problem with that. I didn't know what it was for. It was worldly, you know what I'm saying? Do the Michael Jackson thriller, Jimmy. Get up and sing that for. I'm straight up. I'm all into it. But didn't realize, man, that this was a spirit that God has placed in me. Yeah. And it was to be used to bring others to him. You know what I mean? Yeah. And so on April 3rd he made that very clear in my life. He uh I got pulled over, had my kids with me, my two sons, and uh got pulled over me. And um, I was looking at 30 years in prison and uh as somebody else. That was the kicker. I had nothing to do with nothing. But because I was dark-skinned and I had a big nose, and um the place that this person was from, I don't even know anything about. And uh, but they weren't trying to hear it, bro. They were not trying to hear it. Just because you fit the description. Just because I fit the description. And so when we looked into it, it was a Mississippi from Jackson, Mississippi, it was a Mississippi Bureau of Narcard's case. And I was being three indictments for transferring uh trafficking cocaine from Texas to Mississippi by 18 Wheeler. So it wasn't just a little small thing. I was looked at as like a big, you get what I'm saying? No brown type of guy, bro. And I was so calm, but I'm burning on the inside because I'm like, you know what, it's not me, you know? Yeah. And uh even the officer, he could feel something. That's how you know when God is in a situation. The officer, man, said, I'm having them to check because they do make mistakes. So he had them to check, and I heard them when they came over the microphone that's on their shoulder. They said, Jimmy Hunt, we're coming to get him tonight. Man, they they were there in less than 30 minutes. I was still so calm, bro, because I'm like, I'm knowing this. Right. So, hey officer, can my kids continue to go ahead and go to the movies? Because that's where we were going. Can they go ahead and go? Oh, yeah, they can go. Okay, man, y'all go on to the movies. You know what I'm saying? My wife pulls up. You don't owe any tickets. We we done pay it all the fine, you know what I mean? We don't we don't owe anything.
SPEAKER_00She thinks it's a ticket or something.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, or something like this. And uh, I'm like, no, sweetie, it's way something. Wait. So they locked me up, bro. They locked me up. I was in uh uh uh zone B. Some things jumped off in that. You know how that goes. You know what I'm saying? I don't know you, you don't know me. I'm from a whole nother city, you know what I'm saying? A whole nother place. And you know, so some things jumped off, but bro, I was gonna have I was gonna die in there that night, bro. Because I'm I'm mad, I'm confused, I'm hurt, I'm upset, I'm angry. You know what I mean? I had so many different emotions. So for somebody to say, hey, you're gonna have to get your tray up, man, or you know what I'm saying? What? Yeah. Man, y'all are I'm talking about everybody in here is gonna take. You see what I'm saying? Yeah. And so the uh officer came, hey, hey, hey, what's going on here? Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, Jimmy Hunt, we're gonna have to put you in the hole. Put me in the hole, brother. Put me in the hole. Let me and my guy deal with this situation instead of me and everybody else. Because it could get a lot worse for me. You get what I'm saying? And so it was in that hole, bro. I stayed in the hole like two weeks. Um, still, in I mean, something I have no idea, but I'm in the place where you punish the ones who get in trouble. You get what I'm saying? So I'm in the hole, bro. You had no cot, no toilet. You know, y'all been there, you know how I go. You had none of that, bro. If you had to do anything, you had a hole kind of cut in the middle of a concrete floor. That's where you had to use the restroom or whatever you had to do, it was just a hole, bro. And I used to take the roll of tissue and turn it to the side of my head to try to make a pillow at night. Bro, it was the worst situation inhumane that I had ever experienced in my life. And I've been to jail. You get what I'm saying? I had been, you know, carrying a concealed web, you know, little small, dumb, dumb moves, but I never dealt with anything of this magnitude, bro. But it was in there. He gave me, he he came to me, bro. He came to me really in the way that he came to you. And it was like, I gave you a gift. That was the very first thing I heard. Because I went by grade. God reveals all, delivering everything. That was my name. Secular-wise, it was grade A. So when I transferred over into this, he said, I still want you to be you. That's why it's important for people to know. When God uses you, it's still gonna be you. Okay? He don't want you to change and try to walk around and talk like thou art and be, you know, try to be super holy and super spiritual. He wants you to still be you, still laugh, still crack your jokes, still be you because it's his operation. Yeah. And what we see a lot of days now is man wants to get involved in God's operation. All the time. You know, just get out of the way. It's his operation. The scripture said, you said it in your in your verse, he that hath begun a good work in you is faithful to perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. But yet we look for perfection in other people. But Corinthians says, when that which is perfect has come, that which is in part shall be done away. There will be no perfection until the day of Jesus Christ. You know what I mean? Yeah. And I think that's something we should consider as believers, bro. But experiencing that man and walking through that, it took me two and a half, almost three years to show I was innocent. Dang, so you went through that for almost two. Oh, yeah, brother. It was hanging. Because ironically, the DA who had the case had just got in her position. She's trying to show I'm I'm a good, I'm a good DA. Oh, bro, it was lined up. The enemy had it lined up to come against me, bro. But God, bro. Oh my God. I did not have the finances to try to fight something like this. You get what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_00So they basically were like, you look like the person.
SPEAKER_02Oh, you him in your. You him, you, him. They had pictures of the guy. They had information. This is a Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics case. They had audio and video of the guy doing the transaction. That's how they felt like when they got me, oh, we got evidence. But it's not me. You get what I'm saying? You got good stuff, it's just not on Jimmy Hunt. You see what I'm saying? So we're trying to figure out how did I even get implicated in this in the first place. You see what I'm saying? Yeah. So the case had been going on since 2012. This is 2015. Yo, your undercover agent, right, has let it go on so long. Now your supervisor is causing pressure. We need to close this case, right? So y'all go online, take your picture, look at some IDs, some driver's license, boom, that's him. That's him. I got implicated from a man trying to cover up from not doing his job thoroughly in the first place, bro. Dang, man. In Mississippi, you cannot sue for wrongful arrest after a year. I don't know how it is in Indiana. But if you get arrested in Mississippi and you don't sue within that first year, right? You cannot sue for unlawful arrest. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. We didn't wait. We sued immediately. And you can imagine how they felt when we put a lawsuit in while you charged me. Oh, you finna church. You get what I'm saying? Oh, they were mad, bro. They were mad. And I did not have the fudge to even purchase the type of lawyer it would take. You get what I'm saying? Yeah. To do something of this magnitude. But check this out. Let me show you how God worked. I had a friend named Greg Burnett, just like me and you talking now. Me and Greg did music. Suckler, right? But he produced the beats. I would do the rapping. Greg decided some years ago. He said, man, I'm going to law school. He went to Howard already in D.C. He said, I'm going to go to law school. Never thought about it. Do your thing. He went to law school. He was working as a prosecutor for Hines County, which is Jackson, Mississippi. But we partners. We friends. So when I get arrested, Tamika Carl Greg. Just let because I don't even know what's going on. He came down, he the one who told me about the three indictments. He the one who broke it down to me. Had never tried a criminal case or never had a criminal case in his life. But he walked through it with me. God put him right there and walked through it with me. It was times. Because during this time, now all I know is hold on, man, where is God? Yeah. My connections. You see what I'm saying? My money, and I tell people that. It's going to be situations where nothing you have, your resources will not help you. But he was pulling me, bro, to be able to sit right here today. I got something I need you to do. But we can't see it while the process is beginning, bro. You see what I'm saying? And so Greg walked through that with me, bro. He's going, he's, we, we send his subpoenas out. The agents never show. He's showing me all the evidence. I see the video where the guy cooked and sell it to the agent. And they got all this. So we basically saying, you got your evidence. Do your job. You do your job, I'm good. Every time we will file for a dismissal, the judge will say, we filed for a continuance to give the prosecution more time to find.
SPEAKER_00Are you locked up this whole time?
SPEAKER_02They got me a bun. He got me a bund eventually for $30,000. So that's money I never saw again. But I got a $30,000 baby after about three, four, five, about almost a month, I got a $30,000 b. So I had to pay my own b. You know what I mean? Yeah. And uh, but I was grateful just to be out. But man, I ran. When I tell you I ran to the Lord, bro, didn't know nothing. But let me tell you, the first time I was at that altar, when I got out, I had a sister who went to a church. She was involved. But a pastor, my teacher, right now, my spiritual father, his name is Leon Armstrong. Not far from you guys. What south side of Chicago? Older gentleman, 60-something, you get what I'm saying? Um strong man in the in the in the word. Just the word itself and relationship and articulating it in a way that we can relate to practical, you know what I'm saying, nowadays time to get our understanding.
SPEAKER_00That's so important. Oh man. Because like when you come into this, King James is cool, but like when you're reading it, sometimes, and we have me and you have had some discussions about this, but like the people around you, you gotta have those people that can communicate it, come on, communicate it to you. Like, okay, what is this? Come on, what does this mean? Where were they at? And it took me years. Like, you know, all the 14 that I was talking about, it's been in the last couple where I'm reading the Bible, and it's like, oh, who was Paul talking to? So important. Like, why was he writing this? Who was he talking to? That's right. I say Paul because those letters can get misunderstood real easy if you don't know the context.
SPEAKER_02Context, what where was he when he wrote it? Like Philippians, okay. Understand he wrote this from prison. It opens up a whole different perspective as you read the word.
SPEAKER_00And what trouble were they having? Because that's such a big one. Because he's like giving direction, but he wasn't giving the direction to all he was writing this letter specifically to these people that are having this issue. Romans, you know.
SPEAKER_02I I love it, bro. And I like you said that that's so important for us. And and and number two is to read for ourselves, uh-huh. Not just depend on the sermon.
SPEAKER_00And you should have people pouring into you that are telling you to read it for yourselves, not just feeding it to you and saying this is what this means, and then leave it at that. There you go.
SPEAKER_02So I meant this. Uh I got out when I bailed when I made Bell, bro, my wife gave me a CD. And there's a song that I put out a couple of years ago when I first started to drop music for the kingdom, and it's called Forever Not Guilty. Well, that was the name of the CD that I was blessed with, right? So I get this CD and it's the name of it. Six discs. Six CDs. It's a series, Forever Not Guilty. And he broke down how Jesus destroyed sin. But at the same time, as I'm listening to the word, God is telling me you forever not guilty. And this, but now I know I'm forever not guilty over here as well. And bro, when that started opening up, oh man, I just fell in love with his word at that point. And I went to the altar, bro, when I first went to church, went to a church, that church, broke down, bro, this pressure on me. You get what I'm saying? I'm facing this time. They they just they will not throw the case out, don't know what to do. My lawyer, he's not uh experienced lawyer. You get what I'm saying? Like, they really trying to take my life away, man. I broke down, no shame. And I tell the hardest gangsters in my city, bro, whatever you claim, bro. If you hadn't broke down, you don't know him yet. Yeah. You know that for yourself. You know that. If you have not broken down, I'm talking about where you don't care who sees you, snot rolling out of your eyes, tears filling you. You don't care nothing about what a man thinks about what you're doing in your relationship with God. You don't know him yet. And bro, I broke all the way down. And that man looked me in my face. My eyes closed, and that man said, Jimmy Hunt, you're gonna do great things. You're gonna do marvelous things. You're gonna look, you're gonna uh uh minister to people all over the country. Your rip your belly's gonna flow with rivers of living water. I'm saying to myself, who in the world is this man talking to? Man, I'm no good, husband. You get what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Man, I'm in the man, I told him I would have had a 40 in the car then. You see, man, I'm toting pistols, bro. Who on who is this man talking to right now? And he's that's why I still feel the finger hitting me in my chest right now.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02You're gonna do, you're gonna be all this man talking. But stay connected. I was just in love with that word. I wasn't even concerned about music at the time. It was his word because I'm still looking at facing prison time. Yeah, bro. I'm not going to prison at 17 and getting 30 years. You see what I'm saying? I'm like 39, 30 years, bro. I done missed all my boys' life. You get what I'm saying? I get out of my old dude. And uh, so bro, I was I was under a lot of pressure, man, but I stayed in that word for myself. And what I started doing is concentrate more on God than I did the situation. That's when the Holy Spirit told me. Your life is like a camera. What you focus on is what becomes large in your vision. You focus on him, the problem becomes small. You focus on the problem, it becomes that big.
SPEAKER_00You get what I'm saying? Oh, I mean, hey, we're gonna stop right there because if you're listening, I'm gonna ask you to repeat that because this is a that's a little sentence right there that can be life-changing if you apply it, because so many times, so many times, and you still see even in my life now, it's like you you'll see yourself doing it, yeah, but it's like I'm so I'm locked into what the issue is, and it's like I've got this big father back here, but it's like, oh, but the come on, but the problem. So um if you could repeat that because I and and save this, write it down, pause it, go get a pen and paper, and if you're listening or watching this, write this next part down. So it says that your light.
SPEAKER_02It's just like a camera. What you focus on in your life is what becomes large in your lens. It becomes large in your vision. If you focused on the problem, the problem becomes bigger. If you focus on Jesus, the problem becomes small. If you're paying attention, if you look up, if we looking up, because Hebrews tells us, look unto the Lord, huh? Who is the author and finisher of our faith? If I'm looking up, there's no way I can worry about what you're doing or not doing. There's no way I can worry about if Zeko's sinning or not. If he got flaws in him or not. Why am I concerned with that if I'm looking up? And the scriptures say, keep your mind stayed on him. Be heavenly minded. Focused on all things above that are seated at the right hand of the Father. All this is in the Word, but it's becoming the message.
SPEAKER_00And if you apply that to your life, we have such a like a lack of peace with some people. Or like, how do you forgive? Like, how do you have peace? Why, you know, all this stuff's going on. Like, if you apply the last couple things that he was talking about to your life, you'll start to understand that supernatural peace of like I am you don't used to have problems and stuff, but it's like I am not allowing myself to be distracted by the chaos of you know, some people get so yes focused on things, and I and I and I pray for them, but especially if you've you're a believer, like if you've been born again, it's like we have a source. And and really another good reason to read the read the Bible is if you look what these guys were going through, and then compare it to compare it to my you know, electric my electric my electric bills coming, you know, and it's due and I don't have the money. And I know that's a big problem, so I'm not like making that small right, but you know, you're talking guys sitting in jail, like we're gonna get our heads cut off. Right. There's a the apostle Paul, the movie, there's a part where it's him and um the the uh the physician Luke. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. They're in the they're in the um holding cell, it'd be like a dungeon, and with all these other Christians, and they're they're gonna get martyred in the morning. And it's a thing called the circus where the the Romans would just unleash animals to tear apart Christians and other people, you criminals, but you know, and in this part of the movie, Paul's down there, Luke's down there, and it's women, children, and all of these people. Who asleep? Well, no, well, they weren't yet. Yeah, so they were they asked Paul, they said, What are they gonna do to us? Are they gonna put us in the circus? And he says, Yes, and you hear this gasp of like fear, and then he starts to talk to them about like if you if you understand what's next, it's gonna hurt. Like you're gonna feel pain. Like I tear up thinking about it because like if you live by this, you're gonna feel pain. Yeah, you're you know, you're gonna it's it's humiliating, whatever, whatever it is, like your fear is you're but you're facing it tomorrow morning. But on the other side of that, your father is waiting, and you're and you're gonna and with them, like you're you're a martyr. Yeah, Hebrews talks about that, you know, like you you have a special place forever, eternally, and to watch, and I know it was a movie, but to watch the peace come over the people, like okay, we're ready, kids. Okay, I'm ready. And like if you thought about that for a second, first off, it's still happening today. Zico, I think about I I try to keep this in perspective, and you know, you hear me talk about it a lot, people are getting stoned today, but even crazier than that, people's children are getting snatched away because of their beliefs, and you know, like that is stress and terror. Yes. For your, you know, like your kids might get martyred because of your beliefs, and it and it happens when you put everything into perspective. Me having a flat tire, right, is not gonna mess with my day. Amen. You know what I mean? Even a bad diagnosis from a doctor is not gonna make me shy, not gonna make me turn away from the one that brought me here in the first place.
SPEAKER_02Amen, bro. Because what they and what that shows is we're spending time, we're having that relationship, we're reading his word, right? And what's happening is your spirit, man, is being built up, right? And now your soul is agreeing more with what the spirit says than what the flesh. Because by default, when we were born into this broken world, our soul agrees with the flesh by default. That's why it's very important for us to understand that when we go down, when we get born again, when we are risen and when we have accepted Christ in our heart, that is good. But there is another process where your soul has to be trained. I like to call it training for reigning. Because you can go down and be baptized as an alcoholic, and you can come out of that water as an alcoholic. You get what I'm saying? Yeah. And we skip the process that was important, just like the tabernacle in the Old Testament. You had the outer court, the inner court, and the holies of holies. Jesus said, I'm the way, the truth, and the life that represents that tabernacle. When you're in the outer court, there the furniture that was out there, you had the pot of water that had the bronze on it, which represents uh the salvation, the freedom. See, before he can even start to work on us, I gotta get you free first. Yeah. That's why he gave me forever not guilt. First off, let me let you know. Stop condemning yourself. You see what I'm saying? I'm not good enough. Oh, my life has no significance. I'm not let me free you from that. Let me free you first. Now, the second room you enter, which is the way, the truth, right? The second, the way, what's the outer court? The truth. Okay, you go in here. In the tabernacle, that was called the the the the inner court. Or you say the place of learning. And in there you had the table of showbreads, you had the seven incense. We know what that what those pieces represent. But what was important is you had to sit down at the table of showbread and you had to actually eat. Right? This is what grows up the spirit. So you can get free. But if you got to be washed by the water of the word, you got to be disciple, you got to continue to read, continue to seek Him, continue to study to show yourself approved. And that your spirit is telling, that soul is saying, Oh man. This is the truth over here. So now when you do say the fact of the matter is, you got cancer. I can tell you the truth of the matter is I was healed with his stripes. There's a difference between the fact and the truth. And the world wants us to go off of the facts. This is what the paper say. But let me tell you what the truth is. And I get that by growing up in that word, watching, understanding, growing in that word, spending time with him. Holy Spirit speaking to me, I'm speaking to him, just like you saying. Correct me, get me right, show me. You see what I'm saying? Surrounding myself with wise counsel, understanding that I'm not in control of my life. I was bought with a price. Yeah. He bought the whole field for the for the for the for the treasures that was in these earthen vessels. So we gotta adhere and understand what submission really means.
SPEAKER_00And the world makes submission such a nasty word, doesn't it? Make you feel like, oh I mean, you make you look like a bigger way. You're submitted to another grown man. You know what I mean? Like they come at you all crazy. Yeah, bro. Listen, it and it for those listening, the the reason we started this podcast was not to have like conversations um that would reach theologians. Uh, it's not what we do. We have a Friday night service, you hear us talk about it all the time. Jimmy's gonna be speaking at it in a minute, but it's for the people that are in that place of like, I need something a little bit more. I might I need a little encouragement, or I need I need some direction. So when you hear this and everything he just said is available to you, and I know that there's people listening right now, and you're thinking, how do you know, I'm not at that place. That's okay. You know, you're hearing this for a reason, and and you know, all it there's some of the things he's talking about. I'm I'm probably not at that place, and vice versa. Right. Amen. But but if you take some of these things and start to put them into practice, that peace will start to come. Don't get frustrated and be like, Well, I'm nowhere near that. Time doesn't matter in the kingdom of God. Like it has no bearing whether you have 14 years, three months, it doesn't matter. That's right. What does matter is when things hit your spirit and there's biblical alignment with what somebody's saying, you can apply it to your life and you can start to see a change. And if you apply these things, this is very important, and we were not planning this conversation, but I'm glad we're having it because peace. Listen, yes, the thing I know about myself is if I start to, I'm an overthinker by nature, and I'm not speaking that over myself because I'm not an overthinker, but my nature is I gotta fix everything. Uh even going to sleep, like I'm pacing the floor, sleep, you know, but that's not who I am because I've learned to operate and practice and spend time with my father. And it's a and it's a it's a it's a thing. I'm really wanting y'all to get this as peace. When you have peace, that storm in your mind, whatever, um, and and I believe in therapy and all of these things, but some of the things, the conflict in your life is because you don't under you don't understand or you're not pursuing that peace. And peace, I'm telling you what, when you've lived in chaos for so long, even when you first feel it, Jimmy, brother Jimmy, the first time you feel peace, you're like, what is this? Like it's nice, but I don't trust it exactly because I don't have stuff flying about it.
SPEAKER_02You're not gonna trust it, like, okay, it's like this now, let me, or something about to happen. You know what I mean? You're already, you're already preparing for some tribulation to come your way, some affliction of some type. Um, but just like you said, you know, what the spirit of the Lord is.
SPEAKER_00There's freedom. Come on, man. And and I was talking to a guy one time. So the things that we're also talking about, this isn't a one-shot deal where, oh, I got a revelation. I mean, it can be, but I got a revelation. This is how I get peace, and you're gonna go to your prayer closet tonight for a couple hours and come out and just be operating in peace for the rest of your life. It's it this is practicing stuff, and we laugh because I've done it. You know what I'm saying? I'm not being done. It's like I love I I I was freed from addiction like that. And so a lot of times it's like, hey God, let's just fix this tonight. You know what I'm saying? I don't really want to carry this around, and it doesn't work that way because there's refining and you know, all of these all of these different processes. But you have to keep, you have to keep taking it to the feet of the cross, you have to keep fighting against it because the enemy doesn't stop, especially, especially when there's a soul right here that he had. And that soul is getting close to the father and it's starting to touch. Come on, he's gonna do everything. He'll use your family, your boyfriend, your girlfriend, sometimes your kids, he'll use the legal system, whatever it is. I gotta rip them back apart before you start to build what we're talking about. And then it's like this starts to happen. And if you're watching, it's like this is my this is me, my spirit. This is my father. There's an enemy pulling me. Come on. But as you start, you you meet him at the cross, and you're like, that was good, and then you start to learn about peace, and you start to read your Bible, and then you're gonna get to this place where my DNA and his DNA is the same DNA, and I may not be perfect, but you can't separate it. Come on, you can't. I'm so jacked up, I make mistakes all the time, Brother Jimmy. I make them all the time. You can't separate me from my father. That's right. Even if I make a mistake, I don't know where to go. That's right.
SPEAKER_02I have nowhere to go. That's right. One thing I used to tell my two sons, both of them played football and went off to college and played, but coming up, you know, in the city of Jackson, you know what I'm saying? High school kids, getting girl pregnants, getting in trouble, fighting, going to jail. And I got questioned one time by some in-laws, you know, how did y'all keep them, you know, safe, away from all that? And I said, Well, we were transparent with them. And one thing, as an earthly father, right? Think about this, as an earthly father, I'm your dad. Let me know what's going on, right or wrong. Yeah. That we may know how to deal with the situation. You see what I'm saying? So that was number one. Giving them an opportunity, you can come to me, however. You see what I'm saying? Because what happens is the fellowship may change. You can't go to the movies tonight. But I'm still your father. And that's the same. So if we look at that like that as an earthly father, imagine daddy upstairs. Yeah. You see what I'm saying? I don't care nothing about what you um, your father. Come to me. Scripture says, come boldly before my throne of grace. Which means bring your good and your bad. He told me years ago, Jimmy, your good is not good enough. And I started to write a song on it. You know what I'm saying? Your good will never be good enough. We saw that with Cain and Abel. We know Abel's sacrifice was accepted. We know Cain's sacrifice was rejected. Abel didn't have to do anything but sit there and wash the sheep. Cain was a worker of the field. He used his hands. If we touch it, God can't receive it. He don't need us to do anything, bro. He provides his own sacrifices and he did it from the Old Testament all the way through the new. From the Ram to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I got this. There was a story in the book of John 21. That's when Peter, when Jesus showed up on the shore, Peter said, I'm going fishing. You remember that? Jesus showed up, he said, Cast your net on the right side of the boat. Peter's man, but because you said it, I'd be like my net. Boom. Multitude of fish coming, 153. They couldn't even pull it. But the nest didn't break. The first time they tried to do that, the nets broke. The second time, the nest didn't break. They come over to the shore, they just caught a whole bunch of fish. But when they come to Jesus, he already got fish on the fire. With the charcoal. He didn't need what they brought, bro. But he told them, now bring some of the fish that you caught. That's right before he restored Peter. Peter, do you love me? Feed my sheep. Do you love me? Feed my sheep. The same three denials that he did when he was in the fire of the enemy. I'm going to restore you back right here to your place of leadership. He don't need us to do nothing but trust the process, my brother. And become the word. He gave me a sermon some years ago, man. Consider the example, which we know is Jesus Christ. And we are to be conformed to his image, which is what we'll talk about tonight. We're going to talk about, we're going to do some music, but we're going to talk about doing it on purpose. That's going to be a word. We want to make sure we understand what that means. Because the world told us, yeah, I did that on purpose. What purpose did you do it on? We want to get off the ground with it. Because a lot of things as believers right now, we still on the ground, bro. Yeah. You see what I'm saying? We got to get into the heavens. We got to get into where the war is really fought. Because this is a spiritual war and we understand that. But it's just so much, bro. And when you talk about the peace and just grow, man, you find your identity, you get everything, you get your voice of authority. He expands your territory and you get to walk and be like you were supposed to be, conform to the image of Christ. To rule and reign with him with a rod of iron. To understand what that means. To understand that when Revelation said that was a woman clothed with the sun, travail and in pain and birth, to have a man child. She was talking about Jimmy Hunt. She was talking about Josh. She was talking about bro. She was talking about all of us mature sons of God. The world waiting on us, bro. That's good stuff. The world waiting on us.
SPEAKER_00That fish thing, bro. Yes, sir. You know what cracks me up about that story? He restores Peter, and then he tells Peter basically, like, you know, this is about to be your fate. What I my fate's your fate. Peter, still being Peter, is like, hey, what about him? He's John Peter. John's sitting over there minding his own business. But that's what we're talking about. Peter's done that before. He was in the storm walking on water, and while he was focused on the father, he was good. But when he got, you know, unfocused. But he wasn't. Let me say something about that too.
SPEAKER_02Don't let me interrupt you, but I want to. Ooh, man.
unknownThank you, Father.
SPEAKER_02You remember that story, right? Yeah. So I want you to insert this in there. We say Peter had his eyes on Jesus, right? Yeah. And he and he said, Lord, if it's you, bid me to come. Huh? Jesus. Before Peter got out that boat, what did Jesus say? He said, Come. Peter stepped out on the water and started walking. As long as he kept his eyes before he drowned. I'm going to share with you what the Holy Spirit showed me. Peter didn't walk on the water. Peter walked on the word. When Jesus said that word, come, that's how we supposed to walk. We walk on the word. And as long as we keep our eyes focused on that word, which is Jesus Christ. Man, we'll walk on top of life. That's good. Oh Peter.
SPEAKER_00Peter, bro.
SPEAKER_02I didn't mean to interrupt the thought away, but that was that was well, he's tell him all I heard was tell him that. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_00Interrupt a way. Peter fascinates me, man. He's a big thing. We had talked about maybe doing like a breakdown of just doing his story. You know what I mean? I think it's worth it. Doing um Peter and Paul.
SPEAKER_02Because it shows how much he loves us and cares for us, bro. We know what man, Peter. Peter was a liability.
SPEAKER_00He was a liability.
SPEAKER_02I mean, Peter, man. Shut y'all. Man, now I gotta put the air on. Don't you know if these soldiers know that you cut the air off of this? Man, you finna die, Peter, tonight. Let me put the air. Let me remove the evidence of seeing it right now. Lord, I'd never deny you. Peter. Yeah, you will. But you know, that also tells us, you know, I I I don't like, I disagree when I hear people say, I never do, I never do, I never do. I'd be willing to say, shh, because you don't know. We don't know.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's easy for us sitting here in this podcast. I'd never dis you know, I'd never deny Christ. Well, you ain't got a bag over your head, kneeled down with somebody behind a sword. Yeah. Ready to go into the back of your neck or whatnot, bro. Mm-hmm. Peter was a liability, though. If he was in my circle, I'd be nervous all the time. I don't know what this dude's gonna do. You know, you can't take him out nowhere because he can get violent real fast, but he's also, you know, pre-resurrection. He's also a bit of a coward. Like he's everything all in one bundle that you don't want in your circle. It's like a dude's scared. He but he he cut somebody's ear off. Like I can imagine the other disciples, like, dude, I don't what's up with Peter? Well, what's going on with Peter? First off, John was always chill. Like, you never really hear him say he's just sitting over there smiling at Peter, like, yeah, you're gonna get crucified upside down. I'm gonna take care of his mom. You know what I'm saying? But they were probably like, man, what's up with Peter? Like that dude's like he's violent sometimes, then he ran. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02He's just old Peter. I love it, man. I love it. But let me I'll close that testimony out for you, bro. So after those two and a half, three years, what God was doing is he was concentrating me with his word. You see what I'm saying? Because every time I will be ready for this to let go off of my life, you know, he will leave it. We'll go back, go to court again. I mean, I went to court so many times. Boom!
SPEAKER_00No. And every time and every time you go to court, um, and I've never had big look been looking at big sentences, but I'm a man, every time you go to court, like that's a toll on you. Like that's a toll. Like you gotta prepare.
SPEAKER_02Your soul, your finances, because prepare yourself. Yeah, bro. And uh I remember even Greg, my lawyer, he said, Jimmy Man, he said, Man, I don't know, man, I don't know. They trying to throw the book at you, bro. You know, woo-too-woo. But by this time, my faith is off the ground. So I said, I'll tell you what, come on. We're gonna pray together. And so I prayed with my attorney. Lord give it. Bro, I started praying for the DA lady, the the narcotics agent. Lord, let your spirit touch your heart that she may see the truth. Father, let your spirit touch the judge that he may see and understand the truth. Psalms 91 became my whole, you get what I'm saying? He that dwelleth in the secret place. Oh man, that became my my go-to. Right? And I just started putting these things into play, bro, with faith by faith, by faith. And God will manifest them every time, and it may, it took time. But let me tell you what happened. My teacher came to me and said, Jimmy, I was out there, I've been cut, I'm talking about I'm going to Bible class. It got to the point that when my lawyer would call, Jimmy, you know we gotta do this, bro. I ain't gonna be able to do it. I'm going to Bible class. God started having more priority in me, which he's supposed to, right? Than anything else. Bro, I'm not finna keep dealing with this stuff here now. Because I'm I'm continuing in the word. So my my my spirit, man, is talking to my soul and it's shifting. And I'm like, man, no. Y'all are not man, we gotta do this, man. They trying to well look, bro. I I'll call you when I get out of Bible class, bro. But I got Bible class tonight. Man, you can't be playing with this stuff, man. I get it. I got you. I got you. Man, I'm not. What you say, Pastor? Romans 6 and 7. He that is dead is free from sin. Man, so that means I'm getting my revelation on. You get what I'm saying? Um, and so my rabbi came. He said, Jimmy, after two and a half years, just receiving the word, going through the motion, going back and forth to court, he said, I want you to teach Bible class. Oh, rabbi. Oh, man, I ain't nobody teaching. No, this is in you, this in you. Went home study, man. I heard something, but he gave me something called opposite on the mirror. And he basically was showing me that what we see in the mirror is not who we really are. You get what I'm saying? The mirror fool you make you think you're cute and cut up, and it has nothing to do with who you really are. And uh so I taught that Bible class that Thursday night at John. That Friday morning the DA lady called. It's after two and a half, three years. The DA lady called the next day, eight o'clock in the morning, call my lawyer. GB called me around 11 lunchtime. So I said, Oh man. Hey, what going on, bro? Hey man, the DA lady called this morning. What we got, bro? What we got? Man, I don't know, man, because she called me and I was like, oh, here we go. And she said, Good morning. And so when she said it like that, I'm listening. I'm just like, well, good morning. And she said, he said, she said, uh, how you doing? And he said, I'm doing all right, how you doing? And she said, I'm doing good. Well, happy new year to you, because this is another year that came in. And said a lady said, Well, I just called to tell you that we're dropping all charges against Jimmy Hunt, null and void. We have no evidence against him. This after three years. Praise the Lord. It was when I was doing the work of the Lord that he gave me victory over my situation. When you stay focused on God and do what you do unto the Lord, he will give you victory in every situation in your life. Your finances, your relationships, your health, your prosperity. You can be a living testimony unto the goodness of God. But you gotta stay focused on him. When you focus on the Lord, he will give you, uh, he will bless you. Exceeding. Notice that the word exceeding has an I-N-G on there. That means it's never ending, it's continuing, exceeding abundantly above anything you can ask or think when you focused on him. And I I'm a living testimony of that, bro. And not only did he give me victory over the situation, now you got your word at me. You get what I'm saying? So now it's time to go fish for some men, son. Yeah. And ever since then, bro, I told him in that in that hole, when he told me I gave you that gift. That's what I heard, oh man, it broke me, bro. I felt I and he wasn't playing, sort of like the Holy Spirit told you. You know what you say? I gave you that gift. Now you use it to bring them to me. And it was from that point I said, if I open my mouth, it was gonna be the exalted name of Jesus, that he shall draw all men. I will not open my mouth to do anything else with it. And it has blessed me, my family, bro. Um one thing I've uh another thing I've seen is when you get resurrected in Christ, other people are resurrected out of the life that you're resurrected in. That's when your family starts reaching out to you for prayer. Yeah. John, can you can you that's when people who knew you start seeing Jesus in you? You see what I'm saying? Yeah. They see the light. And your maturity and the spirit becomes, I know you don't see me. It's not about me. You get what I'm saying? But you're attracted to the Christ in me. Because I become the fruit of Christ, which means my life benefits the lives of others more than it does myself. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Heck yeah. I'm with you. Um I'm uh it's like this conversation's really blessing me, to be honest. So I'm not like you know what I'm saying? It's not like interview style, like I'm receiving some of it at the same time.
SPEAKER_02Me too, bro.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Seriously, and and another thing, um you were talking about when you hit the altar, yeah, and the man came up to you and started like speaking these things over you, yeah. Like the importance of that, you know, and as maybe being the light in other people's lives, it is so important because we can, as we should sometimes, we can call out, hey, you need to make this adjustment. Like, I expect my brothers to do it to me and I'll do it to them. But also, like spe speaking, like when somebody's down, getting a hold of them, or somebody's new and saying, Hey, you have you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02We're supposed to speak words of life.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_02The earth itself, the world itself, the reason why we're in the situation we in. What is the church saying? What are the believers saying? This represents the conversations that us as believers are having. We ain't talking loud enough. We ain't having enough conversations about what God's plan is. You get what I'm saying? And it's not the fault of nobody, but the word says that life and death is in the power of the tongue. What you speak, you shall have. What are we talking about? We got wars over here. What are we talking about? We got LBGT. You know, everything that's not of God is more relevant. What are the church saying? What are we saying? And how many of us are having these conversations? Are we whispering them instead of being boldly at the Walmart at the gas station, praying for somebody in front of the Applebee's? We don't care about nobody walking by because you're finna go get your reservation. Carry on on praying with this brother in the middle of North Park. Yeah. That's what it is, and that's what it's gonna take, bro. This earth belongs, the earth and the foolish down belong to him. We gotta take it back, bro.
SPEAKER_00And we have to do, and my thing is like like we're supposed to be doing the things out of love, too. You know, and and like Absolutely, and so we have people get a hold of us sometimes because we do the it's a service, but they'll be like, hey, I want to give my testimony. And I and I, you know, sometimes honestly, we what we um we pray about it, but we'll honor their boldness sometimes. Right. But the first thing I'll say is like, are you giving your testimony already? Like there's somebody at your job that probably needs to hear it. There's somebody like you were saying at the gas station, or there's somebody in your family because you get in your family settings, you're over there for Thanksgiving, and you're just going through the motions, but you might have an a nephew there that's like struggling.
SPEAKER_02Come on, Sharon.
SPEAKER_00And that's and I tell them, like, that's that's important. Like you you do you guide people when you're in front of people with a microphone, and there is uh, you know, um a level of reproach, which I've had to learn how to get to. Right. Uh right, but that but to me still, you look at that, I'll go, you know, I'll go up here tonight and I'll say some things. That's that's the that's cute ministry. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? There's no the the real ministry is happening like in your life when you're tired and you don't feel like you you're ready to go home, and somebody is somebody is in front of you at the gas station, needs twelve dollars and struggling. Come on, and you know, you pull it out, get them the money, you know, not say, Hey, I'll pray for you when I get home, but literally like praying for people. And I think that that's um that's where sometimes I think there's a touch of a disconnect because I don't care. We get opportunities, and I love to tell people about Jesus, right? I I love it. I love to share what Jesus has done for me, and it's an honor anytime somebody's like, Hey, can you come here and do that? But if you look at my life, Zach, if you look at my life, it didn't start. I didn't I didn't like drop out of addiction, you know what I mean, and um in front of people.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00It was it was I prayed for somebody, I prayed for somebody at the factory, I told them about my faith. I learned to grow. I would stop and I would stop and pray for somebody. I would if somebody needed, and I'm not trying to honor anything I did, but it's just it's it's the steps of like I it has to be exercised, and you have to like love people enough to I I see somebody struggling, and you have to use discernment because you don't just walk up to anybody saying anything either, but like it to love for your heart to break for people, you know, and then and then that's how you kind of get to that place. It's like we have um people that we tonight our heart my heart breaks for them. Like I I'll I'll be trying to go to sleep some nights and I will see them and start to pray for them, but also reach out to them. And this is like we bypassed some of the ministry like 101 stuff, right? You know, right if it says go into all of the world, why the heck would God send me to California before I've done work in my own neighborhood? Come on, right?
SPEAKER_02And I have a slogan that I live by, bro. Um well, declaration, really, and I like to use it a lot, but it's love God, love people, change the world. So your love for people comes from the love of Christ. You get what I'm saying? Yeah and your relationship. So the closer you grow with him, right? His character rubs off. Your concerns become the things that he's concerned with. You started viewing people from the way God views them. You see what I'm saying? So now I I'm not gonna look at your flaws because I know you're covered by the tone and blood, just like I am. You go, and and and now I can, like you said, I can live my life according to these private principles that I do in my own time. Because I tell anybody, you can't do in public what you don't do in private. You see what I'm saying? Yeah. So these principles that I have and my relationship one-on-one with the Father, I can present them, like you said, in a public setting using discernment and basically letting him send me where he chooses to touch the hearts of those he wants me to reach. You get what I'm saying? Because you'll reach the ones I can't, I'll reach some. You, you know, Zeke the same way, and that way we're all the body of the Christ. That's why he said I gave some pastors in the book of Ephesians, some teachers, some evangelists, some prophets for the edifying of the body, for the perfecting of the saints, till we all come to the unity of the faith, to the full statue of the measure, which is Christ Jesus.
SPEAKER_00And in that, that's building each other up and edifying each other. And I think that's that's a that that's a hard thing to do. Um, but like you don't that it do you don't open up an allowance and you have to speak against things. So I'm not saying that. Right. But the edification, the times where I've messed up, and people are talking about me messing up, and then I have like a man of God get a hold of me and be like, You're still, you know, you're still a mighty man of God, has probably saved me from just giving up more times than I can count.
SPEAKER_02Thank God.
SPEAKER_00One per one person saying, You're still that, yeah, you're not perfect, you're a knucklehead, but you know, you are still what God called you to do.
SPEAKER_02So let me let me read something right quick. And this is today. Funny you say it that y'all know brother Cody Murphy. Y'all familiar with Cody Murphy?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02This today, I'm on my way to the airport, according to this text he sent it last night at nine something, which I was laying down. Right? This today. I hadn't talked to Cody. I hadn't talked to Cody. We did a couple events together. So he's my brother, just like we are, right? We don't like talking. This today, John, Brother Jimmy, I feel like the Lord put it on my heart to reach out and tell you this. Know your worth. He said, because of the price that was paid for you through Christ, and because of what the Lord has placed in you both heart and talent, what you carry is different. Don't let music or anything else change that in you. You don't have to fit in, and you don't have to walk behind when you have been called to lead. You are backed by the Lord. Just wanted to encourage you with that and remind you who you are. Love you, bro. This today. You see what I'm saying? He will send you and send you confirmation. Not saying that I didn't even know I was feeling that way. You get what I'm saying? But my soul know what was going on, the spirit knew what was going on and knew what I needed.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So I oh man, it blessed me on the way to the airport to come in. Yeah. And I said, look at the divine timing of God.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And if you get if you feel the nudge from God to reach out to people, come on, you have no idea. Sometimes people can look at people and be like, they're tough, they're good. That's silly for me to. I need like there has been times where I am like buckled spiritually, just like, oh, you know, stressed, and I will get a message sometimes from somebody I don't even know. Come on, he'll do it in there. And they will be like, hey, you know, I'm praying for you. I want you to know that like your words have done this, which are are the words of the Lord, you know, from the Lord. But um don't ever look at people and be like, they're strong. Because the truth is, once I claimed Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, I'm not. Come on, I'm not I that's actually a declaration that I'm not strong at all. You know, I have a father who is very strong and very powerful. Um, but the speaking life thing, you know, it's like if it's if you get a nudge and the people around you don't this this this different levels of stuff, like you know, I have friends that do music and stuff like that, but every person that you encounter is equally as important in the kingdom, and some some actually may be more valuable, but it's not the ones you think, right? So you're because your flesh will be like, well, I want to, you know, I want to work with this person and that person, and I want to be close with that person. But literally, you have somebody standing beside you like a servant that is pouring everything they have into stuff that people don't see in the kingdom that really needs the same edification. It needs to be known that they're that they're seen and they're appreciated. And there, and there is no, there is no, there's levels in a sense, but it also, I mean, Jesus told us that the least of us come on is the is the best of us, the greatest of us, you know. Blessed are the list. Blessed are, and none of them are blessed are the preacher that's doing, you know, like and even those preachers, like we get hard on them, but they need life spoken to them too. We can't leave it if you're in the kingdom, if you're not in the kingdom as Christians, we cannot leave people on islands and say, oh, like I'm not gonna touch them because of their sexual preference, I'm not gonna touch them because um they're on probation. I'm not gonna touch them because they fail. Right. They failed, and they had, you know, I mean, they were uh a leader and then they fail. We that's we don't have that luxury once we are cooperate in the kingdom.
SPEAKER_02And it's not our business. That's between them and the Lord.
SPEAKER_00You see what I'm saying? I tell people all the time when I went through stuff, you can I can tell you because I'm a pretty open book. I can tell you the things I did. And people can tell you the things I did. What they can't do is tell you what, if any, my repentance looked like. Oh me. What, if any, me apologizing to my daughters or whatever it is, who whoever it may impact my pastors, you don't know what that was like. You and and sometimes like repentance is not like it's not a fun word. We talk about with like these Christian words that aren't fun. Repentance is the least one of my least favorite words and my least favorite actions. And sometimes I avoid it. It's like I I know tonight I gotta go to God, but it because because it's another one of those microwave things. Sometimes you want you're like, okay, I'm gonna go to prayer for five minutes. I'm sorry, God. Sometimes repentance is a repetitive action that can happen, and in my life, is sometimes it's been a month, yeah, and nobody saw that. Yeah, you know what I mean? I I wasn't recording that on Facebook, right?
SPEAKER_02Like And that's what we want to do. Live a life of repentance. Yeah, like you're saying, it's a repetitive thing, it's a lifestyle, just like worship is. Worship is a lifestyle, you know what I mean? And it's important for us to allow our visuals to match our audio. Because some people look at our lives and that'll be the closest thing they get to a church, bro. Yeah, we in the trenches with it. You get what I'm saying? Yeah, I have people tell me that, bro. I have guys, man, I pull up at the at the gas station in the hood, bro. Man, they they they strapped in everything. Hey, bro, stay positive, man. I ain't even know he even knew anything what I was even involved in, right? But people are watching, man, because they're watching God, not us, you know. Yeah. And what another thing I think is very important is for us to stay being a minister instead of a minister.
SPEAKER_00That's a t-shirt right there, Zico.
SPEAKER_02You hear me? Because the movement, the spiritual traction that you feel will continue on, but you just don't know Satan has veered you. So you still feel in spiritual traction. So you're like, I'm doing something, I'm doing something, but you way off. You way, you going the wrong way. You you because we know he he don't just snatch, he he gonna come real smooth. He has the he has the gift of patience. Oh man, it's very subtle. Boom. It's over time, and you don't even know. I'm pulling you, I'm pulling you, I'm pulling you now, I'm getting you away. Like you saying, away from the God of family. You know, and so it's very important to be a minister and not a minister. Because that light that we standing in is gonna do two things. You either gonna burn up in it, or you're gonna be glorified. God gonna be glorified through you. You see what I'm saying? But it's only one or two things when we stand on these stages and podcasts and stuff. When that light hit us, it's gonna burn you up, or it's gonna refine you, and you're gonna come out pure as gold. Which is the character of God. Praise God. So you're gonna we it's important to stay connected, bro. No matter how we'll be learning in heaven.
SPEAKER_00And I mean, the Bible kind of tells us, like, if you pay attention, uh, you can be casting out demons, doing miracles, healing cancer with your hands, and be looking at Jesus one day and be like, I don't even know who you are. Come on, you did that for you.
SPEAKER_02That's what it means. You do not want to say that.
SPEAKER_00That means you did all that for you. And that means that you know, like the gifts are irrevocable, but that the the thing is, is like you can be doing those things and still not still not be in alignment with you.
SPEAKER_02And you still might end up in a lake of fire.
SPEAKER_00He used a donkey. Come on, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02Hey, did you know that there was a cross on the back of every donkey in the world?
SPEAKER_00I saw that. Is that real?
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's real, bro.
SPEAKER_00That's crazy. Huh?
SPEAKER_02That blew my mind.
SPEAKER_00It's because that one donkey said yes. Yep. Right.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_00He wrote it now.
SPEAKER_02Jesus rolled in there. It don't matter what color, you'll see a shade of that cross. That's dope. The divine wisdom of God, man. Man, that's amazing, bro. But John, we could do this all night. I'm just I'm I'm following your lead.
SPEAKER_00Well, I think we're probably about to um go upstairs and unleash who knows what. So it's gonna be Holy Spirit. Amen. And he here. He here. Yeah. He's here, bro. A lot of preparation. We have we've had a lot of um, we're just blessed, man. I'm a very I'm very blessed to have the people around me that I have around me. And I appreciate you, Jimmy. And we have had conversations. I consider you a brother. I always I was telling Zach this, I said, when I get off the phone with that brother, I always feel better. You know, more I feel I feel like, and I don't even have it, I it could be a good day, and I talk to you and it's like, oh, day just got a little better. Do you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02Glory be to God.
SPEAKER_00So, Jimmy, we appreciate you coming on. Tell everybody where they can find you on social medias and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so um, all my platforms are Jimmy Hunt. Um, Facebook is Jimmy Hunt, Facebook, uh, uh, Instagram at Jimmy Hunt Vertical on Instagram, um, YouTube, Jimmy Hunt. Matter of fact, got some new uh new video coming out here pretty soon for Living Water, uh, which is John 14, Jesus met the Samaritan woman at the well. So I'm very excited about that. But uh Jimmy Hunt, all the way across the board. Um, God sort of stripped me of uh, and it's not you know in a bad situation, but for me, as I continued to grow with him, um, I heard him say, I've given you everything you need already in your name. And I was like, Well, God, I put out my first album on the gray. God reveals all, delivering everything. People know me by that. And I wrestled with that bro for about two weeks. Man, the Holy Spirit, he told me, he said, Look up your name. When I looked up the name Jimmy and found out it was derived from the name Joshua, which comes from the name Yahweh, it stopped me and I said, Ooh. And he said, Now look up the name Hunt. And the first thing I saw when I looked up the name Hunt, it said to fish. And it was at that point I laid everything down and said, I am who I am. You get what I'm saying? Um, so it's Jimmy Hunt on all platforms, uh, music on all uh platforms as well. Spotify, Jimmy Hunt, Apple Music, Jimmy Hunt, man. But uh I appreciate everyone, man, um, just for following me on this journey because it's all about him. And uh we just want people to see God and when we speak, hear God, and when we move, see God move, and uh just to show his tangible hand in our lives on a daily basis. So y'all be blessed, man.
