Hi everyone, this is another Kids vs. Adults. Adults today, and we've got Raf and Daniel. Raf, how old are you and what team do you support? I'm seven, Max, and I support the Frio Dockers. Daniel, how old are you and which team do you support?
SPEAKER_03I'm 41 years young and I support the Frio Dockers. Thanks for having us today, Max.
SPEAKER_04Should we stop the podcast now, Max, given we've got two Docker supporters?
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_04Keep it going?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, keep it going. So, Raf, if you win, what does your dad have to do for you?
SPEAKER_00I want him to take me to Claremont Corders to go shopping there.
SPEAKER_04Empty your pockets, Daniel. Look out.
SPEAKER_01Daniel, what do you get if what uh what do you get if Raf went? If you went.
SPEAKER_02So, in addition to Raf making his own bed every morning, he's gonna make mum and dad's bed as well. For a week.
SPEAKER_04For a week. Making two beds, Raf. Two beds. Can you manage that?
SPEAKER_01I didn't know.
SPEAKER_04We'll have to find out.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_04Alright, Daniel, first question is to you. Which team has won more Western Derbies? Eagles or the Dockers?
SPEAKER_03I'm gonna lock in the Eagles, unfortunately, but hopefully that changes.
SPEAKER_01The Dockers have won 29 Western Derbies, and the Eagles have won 31 Western Derbies.
SPEAKER_04Correct, it's close. The margin's gotten much closer, hasn't it? It used to be a one-sided affair that. But that's why I thought it's an interesting question because Dockers are getting very, very close.
SPEAKER_01In which year did the Dockers join the AFL Rath? A. 2016. B 1999 or C 1994? I don't know. I'm gonna say 1999. Oh, you're incorrect. It's even on the top that you're wearing. It's 1994. I should have checked.
SPEAKER_04Oh, you bought notes, Rath. You bought notes for the quiz!
SPEAKER_00I should have checked! That's unlucky.
SPEAKER_04Alright, Daniel's second question. Which players have played for Freo and won a Brownland medal?
SPEAKER_01There's two of these ones, so you can name both. I think not.
SPEAKER_03Well, we're gonna lock in Nat Fife. That's one of them, definitely.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_03And the second player that's won a Brownlow. Oh, could I think about that one? Who else has won a Brownlow from the dot Lockie Neal?
SPEAKER_00Correct.
SPEAKER_03Correct!
SPEAKER_00Has Lockie Neal played for free or?
SPEAKER_04That's where he started his career. And then he saw the light and went to Brisbane, won a couple of premierships.
SPEAKER_00Will he come?
SPEAKER_04It's Nasday. Well I heard he might want to come back. Or he might go to Collingwood.
SPEAKER_01That's back. So it's 2-0 to Daniel, is that correct?
SPEAKER_04Correct.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah. Okay, um, so your second question, Raf. Who did the Dockers play in their in their only grand final and how much did they lose by? A, did they verse Collingwood and lose by one? B, did they verse Hawthorne and lose by 15? Or C, did they verse Eagles and lose by 70? 17? 17.
SPEAKER_0417. Did they they haven't did they play Eagles in ever in a grand final?
SPEAKER_00Um no. Or check my shirt.
SPEAKER_04Check your shirt. No, no premiership cups on that shirt. That's okay. You can't use the Docker's history to find a premiership cup.
SPEAKER_00I think Horde Thorne. And that is correct.
SPEAKER_04That's it. Alright, Daniel. In a fiery Western Derby in 2000. That was the the all the all the fighting derby. We're 3-0-1 by a point. How many goals did Clive Waterhouse kick?
SPEAKER_03Ooh.
SPEAKER_04A3, B9, or C6?
SPEAKER_00I feel like there's the moderate.
SPEAKER_04We're locking six. Correct. Well done. Clive Westinghouse kicked six that day.
SPEAKER_01That's a lot.
SPEAKER_04That's a lot.
SPEAKER_01Now, Raf, who is the game's record holder for the Dockers? A, is it David Mundy? B, is it Matthew Pavlich? Or C, is it Aaron Sandlans? I think it's Aaron Sandlands. Well, you're incorrect. It's A David Mundy.
SPEAKER_04Close. He's third, I think, Aaron Sandlerlands. Was he third on the list?
SPEAKER_01Third, and I think Matt Matt Pavlich is second.
SPEAKER_04David Mundy. And it's Saturday today, not Monday. Alright, Daniel.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_04Give it to me. Finish this theme song. AFL theme song. Cheer, cheer, the red and the white.
SPEAKER_03Oh no, the swan by Dan by night.
SPEAKER_04Oh close. The name by Dan by night. Close. He said swan by name. No god. Got that wrong.
SPEAKER_01You got that one in.
SPEAKER_04Very close though.
SPEAKER_01I can see he has then so it's Daniel 3 to Raf one. Do we agree on that?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Okay, here we go. Raf, this is your fourth question. Which team songs starts with it's a grand old flag?
SPEAKER_04It's a grand old flag, it's a half-lying flag, it's the emblem for me and for you.
SPEAKER_01That's just a blank guess. How are you doing? I don't know, like I'll give you a cloak. Okay?
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I'll give you a cloak.
SPEAKER_04Capital city of Victoria. Main city in Victoria.
SPEAKER_00I don't know any cities in Victoria.
SPEAKER_04Starts with an M. Ends in an E.
SPEAKER_00Melbourne.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, Melbourne Dz. Well done, Raf. Alright, last question, Daniel. Okay. How many players have played for both WA teams? A10, B11, or C12?
SPEAKER_03I'm gonna go with my lucky number because it's Marman Valley's birthday, so we'll lock in 11B.
SPEAKER_04Oh, you got it right. That was a good guess. I got it right. Well, we still asked the last question.
SPEAKER_01If you guys want, we can also say the bonus question. Okay. Yeah, but Daniel, you've all you've already won. Okay, who was the latest team to win three premierships in a row? Is it Brisbane? No, it was Hawthorne. Brisbane ran two in a row.
SPEAKER_04Maybe make it three.
SPEAKER_01No, this is your bonus question, but Daniel, once again, you've already won. Meanwhile? Yeah, I know. Who won the 2024 Goal of the Year Award? Wait, who is this for? For both of you.
SPEAKER_04You don't have to I can leave with a chocolate if someone can get it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_042024 goal of the year winner.
SPEAKER_01Don't give them any clues. I'll give you a clue on which round it was.
SPEAKER_03I need to clear myself because I don't know who it is.
SPEAKER_01Heck.
SPEAKER_03Do we know if is the player still playing?
SPEAKER_01Yes, they're still playing.
SPEAKER_03Are they still at the same club?
SPEAKER_01They're still at the same club.
SPEAKER_04Charlie Cameron, maybe, or did he win it?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Oh I did, yeah, I remember that. Oh okay.
SPEAKER_03No, it wasn't Bobby Hill. No, no.
SPEAKER_00But that said Charlie Cameron.
SPEAKER_03Oh. Was it um like yes?
SPEAKER_04I think I uh luscious locks, former number one draft pick. Number nine. Sounds like a motorbike.
SPEAKER_00I don't know any place exactly.
SPEAKER_04What do you do? What do you do to a book?
SPEAKER_00Read it.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Motorbike.
SPEAKER_00Drive it?
SPEAKER_04No time for you. What's a famous thread in the motorbook? Harley. Harley. Harley. Yeah, well done.
SPEAKER_013-3.
SPEAKER_04So the winner of the quiz was Raph. Well done. Oh, but Daniel. Sorry, Daniel's the quiz. You're making beds for a week. Only a week.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's good.
SPEAKER_04Well done. Thanks for help. From your dad?
SPEAKER_01No, that's me. If you ask your dad, you're gonna have to do it for two weeks. If you ask your dad in the second week, three weeks. Third week? Four weeks.
SPEAKER_00Okay, then I'm not asking anything about bids.
SPEAKER_04Alright, thanks for the quiz, guys. Thanks so much for having me.
