here to describe as a place where all these factors may have you lost, confused, betrayed, broken, uncertain, and desperate. 00:06:30.560 --> 00:06:32.480 This isn't a place for the weak. 00:06:33.279 this scene. 00:07:57.759 --> 00:08:04.879 In Psalms Samuel, excuse me, 2 Samuel 14 and 15, we learn that David's son Absalom had returned. 00:08:05.920 --> 00:08:07.040 He's a bad boy. 00:08:07.600 --> 00:08:08.560 He returned. 00:08:09.360 --> 00:08:12.720 And he's conspired to take over David's kingdom. 00:08:15.680 --> 00:08:16.879 Trick David. 00:08:19.279 --> 00:08:26.079 And he installs himself as king, betraying his own father, and puts David on the run. 00:08:26.879 --> 00:08:33.840 And David and his family and his trusted men have to embarrassingly flee Jerusalem and go hide in the wilderness. 00:08:33.919 --> 00:08:35.279 It's a terrible moment. 00:08:35.600 --> 00:08:37.279 A terrible situation. 00:09:04.559 --> 00:09:08.159 A sign of shame, sorrow, their grieving.
