It Took 20 Years To Get 2 KISS Pinball Machines Autographed

Max had two KISS pinball machine glasses he wanted signed by the original members. Ace Frehley signed them at the Diamond Ballroom, then years later Max got Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons to sign Robin’s glass at Choctaw Casino.
But Peter Criss was still the missing piece.
Then Max found out Peter was appearing at Comic-Con, and his friend Danny Stanton was working as Peter’s manager and handler.
The line was six hours long, but when Max told security his name, they said, “They’ve been expecting you. You’re family.”
Max was taken straight in to meet Peter.
Peter signed both pinball glasses, heard the story, and Max finally completed a 20-year KISS autograph mission.
When Max tried to pay, Peter’s wife said no.
If Danny said he was golden, he was golden.
And just like that, it took Max longer to park than it did to finish the whole thing.

Hey dude, would you like for me to get that signed for you? And so I come up with this idea. I got my glass signed by Ace at the Diamond, and I got his uh glass signed by the Ace at the Diamond. That his glass, Ace was the first one to sign it. So then it was your third signature. Yes, it was my third. And so for years, I eluded Peter Chris. And then uh working at the Choctaw Casino, we got a Kiss show. And so I was able to take Robin's glass and get it signed by Peter. I mean, by Paul and Gene. So now I had he had the same as me. We had Gene, Paul, and Asa's signature. So then this can't this uh con comic con, you know, I didn't know what that was, but my friend Danny Stanton was Peter's uh manager handler. And what Peter does is is he wasn't playing, he was uh he got paid to be a uh be at that can-con or the comic con. And so you had to make an appointment to meet him, and you had to pay for any signatures or anything. That's how he makes a living. And so uh we I get there, I'm with my son Austin, and uh uh so this line is like it's a six-hour wait. And this line is just deep. I mean deep. And the place was packed. I go all the way up to the security guard, and I go, uh, I go, uh oh, hey, I need to talk to Danny Stanton. He's with Peter Chris. The guy goes, What's your name? I go, Oh, my name's Max Baker. And he said, Oh, they've been expecting you, your family. The dude stops the line, opens the door down, and and there I am with Peter. And, you know, Danny's like, and and so they stop the line inside, and they're like, Hey, uh, this is Max, you know, he's a big fan. He's he and they tell me about, you know, I told him about being, you know, Danny knew that that how long I'd loved Kiss. And so I'm standing there with an idol, and I tell him all these things about uh, you know, and he goes, Well, Danny tells me you're one of us in your family. And he says, What you got for me? I said, I got these pinball glasses that I want you to sign. Did you bring them with you? Yeah, I brought them with me. So he signs both of them in. And when he signs them, he tells me, you know, this is odd. He says, Most of the times I've signed these glasses, I've been the first one. And I said, Well, I've only and I told him the story about mine taking 20 years, and with him signing Robins, it took me a month. So when I tried to pay them with money for the picture and the stuff she gave me, she goes, Oh, no, no, no, honey. We love you for uh supporting Peter and Kiss for as long as if Danny tells us you're golden, then you're golden. And I walked out of there and I promise you, it took me longer to park than it did to get those signatures and all what I did. Wow. You know, that was my that and and and that was my story of of of meeting the legendary Peter Chris. Again.
