Gary Allan has been one of those artists Max has worked with year after year since 2004.
Sometimes more than once a year.
And there is a reason for that.
Gary Allan is an incredible performer. You know what you are getting when he walks on stage. Ninety minutes to two hours of hits, a strong crowd, and a show that delivers every time.
Back in 2007, Gary was hot.
By 2024, he had moved into that classic country lane. The kind of artist people keep coming back to because the songs still hold up.
But this story is about Durant.
Max says he saved Gary Allan’s ass one time on tribal land.
The crew was outside smoking, and this was long before anything was legal. On tribal land, that is a whole different situation. Cameras everywhere. Different rules. Different law. You do not play around with that.
Gary had to jump back into the bus and shut the door fast.
That was the lesson.
When you are on tribal land, you are not just dealing with venue rules.
You are dealing with their law.
And in the concert business, knowing where you are and what rules apply can save the whole night.
