This is the forensic part of the theology. Section four. We have to look at the prophecy of the little horn in the book of Daniel, chapter seven.

And the prophecy gives us a checklist of identifiers. It arises after the fall of Rome, and it destroys three of the original ten kingdoms to make space for itself.

The Herali, the Vandals, and the Ostrogoths. These were Aryan tribes, which means they held a different view of Christ's divinity, and they fiercely opposed the growing power of the Bishop of Rome. The sources point out that the papacy, in its rise to political power, orchestrated the destruction of these three rival kingdoms using the armies of the Eastern Roman Emperor. The last of the three, the Ostrogoth, was uprooted from Rome and defeated in the year 538 AD.

Because of the math. The prophecy says the little horn will reign and persecute God's people for a time, times and half a time.

It is, but it has a key. In prophetic interpretation, a time is a prophetic year. In the ancient Jewish calendar, a year is 360 days. So let's break it down. One time equals 360 days. Times, plural, meaning two, equals 720 days. Half a time equals 180 days. Now add those out. 360 plus 720 plus 180.

1260 prophetic days. Now here is the absolute key to unlocking this: the day-year principle. In biblical prophecy, especially in Daniel and Ezekiel, a prophetic day often represents a literal year. The San Francisco Chronicle, for instance, ran a headline that actually used the phrase Mussolini and Gaspari sign historic pact, heel wound of many years.

They did. Unbelievable, right. And look at the Pope today. He addresses the United Nations. He's the only religious leader who is also a head of state, received by presidents and kings and prime ministers. All the world does wonder after him.

But wait a minute, we're missing a piece of the puzzle. Revelation 13 talks about two beasts, not just one.

Yes, very important. The first beast, the papacy, comes out of the sea. In prophecy, sea represents the populated areas of the world, the old world of Europe with its many nations and languages. But then the prophet John sees a second beast, and this one comes up out of the earth. The earth. What does that signify? The earth represents a new, relatively unpopulated land, a new world. This beast says, two horns like a lamb, but it speaks like a dragon.

It's a contradiction, isn't it? A lamb is a symbol of Christ gentle, innocent. A dragon is a symbol of Satan oppressive, tyrannical.

And the sources say this nation is the United States of America. Whoa. Okay. The US is the second beast. That's gonna ruffle some feathers. You have to explain that identification.

Vatican Assassins and the other texts are very direct about this. Think about the characteristics. The U.S. arose in the earth, the New World, which was sparsely populated compared to Europe. It arose around the exact time the first beast received its deadly wound in 1798. The U.S. Constitution was ratified in 1788, the Bill of Rights in 1791. It was rising to power just as the Capacity fell.
