🎙️ Previous episode You Are In a Three-Way and Your Didn't Even Know It!
You've done the therapy. You've read all the books. You've listened to all the podcasts. And now you have the career. You've got the house. You've got the kids. You've done all of the work. You've checked all the boxes. You've done everything you were supposed to do to be happy. And you woke up one day and realized that you're not. And you started asking the question: isn't there more? Yes, there is. And I don't mean more information. We have all the information. What we need is transformation. And that is only done when we excavate that whole system and repave that superhighway. We're not skimming the surface here. We're gonna dig in deep and drink the water from a deeper well. We're telling the truth in a whole new language. You felt the nudge, then you hear the whisper. You ignore it, life gets louder, and it will manifest as burnout, exhaustion, illness, injury, anxiety, disconnection, addiction de jour, and drama at every turn. There is a better way, I know, because I found it on my own journey. This story is a part of my story. And I built this toolbox for myself, and I have proven that it works with hundreds of clients over the past 28 years of being in private practice. We're gonna blend neuroscience, psychology, and timeless Eastern wisdom and show you where science meets soul work. This is where we will rewire the patterns that have kept you stuck. I'm Jennifer Moore, licensed psychotherapist and creator of the therapeutic coach approach. Isn't there more? Yes, there is. Each week I'm gonna share practical tools to implement so that you can actually transform your life. Follow now wherever you listen. And if somebody popped in your mind, that's not a coincidence, that's a synchronicity. Send it to them because they're ready to hear it too, just like you are. And welcome home. I want to talk about manifestation today, but not the way you've ever heard it before. I'm not gonna talk about just staying positive and creating a vision board. No, no, just think positive thoughts on the universe will deliver, none of that BS. We're gonna get down and dirty today, because here's what nobody is telling you about manifestation. You cannot manifest your way out of a dysregulated nervous system. Yes, Napoleon Hill told us think and grow rich. And he wasn't wrong, he just left a key component out, and today that's what we're gonna talk about. Today we're going where science and soul meet. And I'm gonna tell you about the deer, the saber-toothed tiger, and a nap at mile 23 of the marathon. That was my big wake-up call. I'm also gonna talk about a tool that is at your fingertips to give you the data to help you get your nervous system back on track so that you can get aligned and start allowing and co-create the life you are meant to live. By the end of this episode, you're going to see exactly how your life is reflecting back to you in your relationships, in your money, in your health. Every area of your life can be different. Ready? Let's go. All right. So your nervous system isn't just about anxiety, burnout, overwhelm. Oh my God, Calgon take me away. But it's actually reflecting back to you like a mirror. You say, What? I don't understand. Well, go look up your chase.com or your truest.com, your bank account, and see how much money's in there. And I will tell you what's going on in your nervous system with your money mindset. I will tell you what's going on in your relationships and your health. And I will also tell you how your frequency, your vibration is always aligned with the experiences that you have. There's a saying I have it's the angry person is always the one in the coffee shop, in the diner that gets the coffee spilled on them. Because that wired and tired person attracts that chaos, because the nervous system is the chaos. Remember last week when I said where there's drama, there's unresolved trauma? This is a nervous system that is dysregulated. So there's an empowering piece of this because a grateful heart attracts more to be grateful for. And there's actual biology and neuroscience behind this. Life is not happening to you, it is happening for you. But your nervous system is, but if your nervous system is running in survival mode, you're not co-creating, you're reacting. And that is the difference. So today we're going to talk about what are some of the tools that I can get my system back on track so that I can start co-creating the life I meant to live. So, quick lesson in neuroscience today. What is the nervous system and why does that matter? All right. So we have the sympathetic nervous system and the parasympathetic nervous system. Think about the sympathetic nervous system as being like on the gas pedal. Fight, flight, fright, or flight. Today can I talk? Fight, flight, freeze, fawn. Built because we needed to survive. If there's a saber-tooth tiger chasing me, I need all of my energy to go to my legs so that I can run fast and be furious so I can get the heck out of Dodge so that I can be safe. But your nervous system doesn't understand the difference between a perceived threat and a real threat. And there is definitely a difference between a saber-tooth tiger chasing you and an email from your boss that says, I want to meet with you today at three o'clock. And all of a sudden your mind starts racing. Oh my God, I'm going to get fired. Your nervous system goes into that fight, flight, or freeze automatically. Your body feels like it's being chased. And when you're in that constant chronic state of stress, it takes a toll on the body. The long-term effects of that cause dis-ease, causes stress, chronic anxiety, chronic stress causes inflammation and will create illness in the body. I'm not saying that it's your fault that you have an illness in your body. I'm giving you a tool to empower you to heal the body because when the body is given the tools it needs, it will heal, it will come back to wholeness. So what is the parasympathetic nervous system? Think about that versus the gas pedal. The parasympathetic nervous system is the actual break. This is the rest, the digest, the regulate. Here, I can create, I can co-create, I'm connected, I'm courageous, I'm calm, and I have clarity, have confidence, stay curious, and I have energy to be compassionate for self. And that creativity, I'm tapped in, tuned in, turned on. Okay. So sympathetic, gas pedal, fight, flat, or freeze, parasympathetic, rest, digest, create clarity, calm, calm in command. Have you ever seen a deer in headlights? I grew up in the country, way out in the country. We used to say they had to pipe the sunshine to us. We lived on a single road. So if a car came at you, somebody had to get over to the side to let the other car come. But where they were frequently deer, and when a deer runs out in front of you and those headlights hit the deer, it actually blinds them and they can only see their shadow. And so they run toward the lights instead of away because their shadow scares them. So if you stop and turn your lights off, if you can do that, if you turn the lights off, then the deer will run out in the field. If you ever have the opportunity to watch the deer, you will see when the deer escapes, shakes, it trembles, or it can also automatically defecate. It will let that literally let that sh go. It's not going back in the woods and saying, Oh my God, did you see that car that almost hit me? And talk about the story over and over and over like a human does. Oh my God, do you know what my boss did? Do you know what my husband did? Do you know what my child did? We talk about it and spiral on it and on and on. Animals do this automatically. They shake, they tremble, they let go. And we talk about it, talk about it, relive it, relive it, relive it. We push through, we get a glass of wine because we want to numb it out, or we get a cup of coffee, we want to do something. And so what happens in our bodies is then that trauma, that drama, that trauma, however that is for you, whatever that story, how you perceive that story is unprocessed stress that stays locked in your body, in your survival mode. Einstein said, you cannot solve a problem with the same mind that created it. What does that mean for you? It means you have to change the mind. You got to change how you think about that situation, change that story. And we have to change it in our body. This is not just philosophy, my friend. This is actual neuroscience. You cannot think your way out of a dysregulated nervous system. You have to feel your way out of it. So that's what we're going to talk about. I've talked about set points in my previous episodes. If you missed any of those, you can go back. They're quick and dirty. You're sleep, you're in a three-way and you didn't even know it, aka your nervous system, your gut-brain connection, and the hormones. And that set point in the nervous system is running the show. That set point that was set before you had language, before you had logic, before you were seven years old. You were not even old enough to know that you were adapting. Your nervous system was building on that set point. And that set point becomes the lens in which you experience the world. Thereby, your frequency is set to that. We'll dig into frequency more. I'm going to talk about the map of consciousness developed by Dr. David Hawkins in future episodes. But today we're talking about your frequency. Where is your frequency in your subconscious mind? Your frequency is where we create from. So you don't just perceive the world through that lens, you actually attract from it. Or another word is align with it. Napoleon Hill was right when he said, You can think and grow rich, but there was a missing piece. You have to feel in it. You have to feel it in the body. Robert Kiyosaki wrote the book Rich Dad, Poor Dad. Your thoughts about money determine your financial reality. The rich dad thought like an asset builder, whereas the poor dad thought like an employee. Same circumstances, completely different outcomes. Here is an and neither of them were wrong, but here's what I want to say. You cannot rewire your money mindset when your nervous system is in survival mode. A nervous system that is running on scarcity cannot think of abundance. And I'm going to give you a tool at the end of the show to create that energy to change your frequency through a focus wheel. So stay tuned for that. But we have to understand that this is not just mindset, this is biology because your body is always keeping score. What manifestation actually is, it's not magic, it's not just woo. It's not wishful thinking. It's not a vision board alone. And believe me, I believe in vision boards. I had co-created some unbelievable things through my vision boards. One would say that I aligned with my husband through a vision board. I had a picture of somebody who looked exactly like my husband when I was a little girl. Years and years. But our energy had to be aligned. Our frequency had to be one and the same. Because we actually were at a funeral two years before we even met. One would say, like two ships crossing in the dark. He was there and I was there, but our energy was not aligned. So we did not meet then. Manifestation is about alignment. So when what you think, feel, and believe in your body are all pointed in the same direction, the feeling is the frequency. I started learning this 20-something years ago, like maybe 25 years ago, when I started reading and studying with Dr. Wayne Dyer, Louise Hay, you all know Hay House Radio came from Louise Hay, Carolyn Meese, who wrote The Anatomy of the Spirit and Sacred Contracts and many other books. I've studied with all of the great teachers, and every single one of them said, this is all in the body. Now I want to tap into the Enneagram. I've touched on the Enneagram the past couple of weeks, and I want to do a little, I'm dip my toe in a little bit deeper. I'm still not going to go all the way in because I think that's going to be a three-part series that I'm going to do a deep dive into the Enneagram, but I do want to give you an overview of what the Enneagram is to me and what and how it's changed my life. So the Enneagram is a personality tool, but it's so much more than a personality tool. It's really a spiritual growth map. And it helps us to understand why I do what I do and why I don't do what I want to do. And it's also an indicator of how our nervous system shows up as in defense mechanisms. So whenever I am working with someone, I want to understand the way that they perceive the world, the way they experience the world. So I'm going to give a quick overview of all nine types and the way that the defense mechanisms can show up. And again, this is not an extensive education about the Enneagram. This is I'm dipping my tea tiny toe in the sand to just talk about the defense mechanisms and how they show up. So there's nine types. A one's not better than a nine, nines are not better than a one. These are just how we identify with the world, how we perceive the world, how we experience the world. And then there's three subtypes. So there's actually 27 different ways that all of this can show up. But I'm going to go into the defense mechanisms. And we have average, healthy, and unhealthy. So the when we are in our defense mechanisms, then clearly we're not in a healthy place, right? But when our nervous system is dysregulated, and I'm going to give you tools to regulate it by the end of the show today, but when we are dysregulated and we're trying to manifest, we cannot manifest when our defense mechanisms have been activated. So maybe you're wondering, what does that even mean to me? Well, I'm going to give you some examples of each type and how that defense mechanism can manifest and what it shows up like whenever we are not calm, cool, collected, and in our common command state. So there's nine types. I'm going to start with the eight. I don't know why we always start with the eight. That's just where we start. So there's three different sections, and the eights, nines, and ones are the gut type, the body types. And so we feel more into our things. So the eight is a challenger. I am an eight. I identify as an eight, a challenger, a leader, a boss. Um, and that lust for life can become a weapon. We can push and effort and push, push, push, go bigger, go home. And anger is actually a defense mechanism. It's what keeps me feeling safe. It's what keeps me feeling powerful. And I know that when I get angry, when I put my big finger up and I start pointing to somebody, start trying to be the boss of everything, I know I'm in a defense mechanism. I know that at that point my nervous system has been activated. I'm in fight, usually fight, but the think about the ways that we, when we get activated, how we respond, fight, flight, freeze, or fawn. Eights generally go to fight. It feels powerful because that's a protection. So that manifests as a fight. A nine, also a gut type. Eights, nines, and ones are in their gut, in their body. The nine is the peacemaker, the mediator. These are just some of the names that are given for it. But the nine disappears into someone else, like can merge into someone else's agenda. I don't care what we do. They can numb out. They don't want to make a decision. They will avoid conflict because peace is what they want. And so when they get activated, when their nervous system is dysregulated, this can manifest as a life that doesn't actually belong to me. I don't even make the decisions. I don't know what I want to eat for dinner because that might create conflict. All right. And the one, eights, knives, and ones, gut tights, the perfectionist. They become hypercritical, mainly toward themselves. They can become rigid and nothing is good enough. And as they're feeling that internally, they can project that out onto others because they are feeling like they are falling short. That's a defense mechanism when their nervous system is dysregulated. All right. Twos, threes, and fours are heart types. The helper is the two. They overgive, they overshare. They want to make sure that everybody is loved and taken care of. And then they wonder why nobody ever shows up for them. And that can manifest in a relationship where they actually feel invisible. It is heartbreaking to watch a two when they are trying to manifest a relationship or manifest something and they're giving and they're giving and they're giving. And you're just like, you need to stop. You come back to your center, come back to your center. And that's when that nervous system is so activated, it's like you can't get out of their own way. And it's it's absolutely heartbreaking, heartbreaking because they want to be the love in the room, right? They want to be the love in the room. And so when they are in that calm state, they are the love in the room. And they naturally attract more love. All right, the three, the achiever. The achiever, the performer, the goal setter. My husband is an achiever and he's so cute. He doesn't call them goals. He's like, I set goals. And I used to correct him and I thought, why correct him? Because he's going for the gold, honey. He is going for the gold. Always in sales, always want to be the top performer. They will hustle and they go on autopilot. And it is heartbreaking when they believe that they're not creating what they're they're not achieving what they need to create and achieving what they need to achieve. And so that manifests into more pressure, improving. And there's a feeling of never enough when their nervous system is activated. All right. So twos, threes, and fours, heart types. Individualist is the four. They will drown. There's like an undercurrent of melancholy running the show, right? Fundamentally indifferent, different. They feel like they're always misunderstood. Nobody gets me. And that manifests as envy, more longing, or lack. And that's it's just so sad. And I want to, I want to help. I want to help. This is a tool that can help you. All right. Five, sixes, and sevens are head types. Five is the investigator. They withdraw the investigator head types. They want to understand how things work. And the five, when they are activated or triggered in some way, they will withdraw. They will hoard their energy. They will hoard their resources. I'm convinced that one of my sisters is a five, even though she says that she's not. But when we were growing up, I've mentioned before, we didn't have tons of money. We always had food on our on our table and shoes on our feet, but we didn't have tons of money. But I remember my mom would buy a six-pack of Dr. Pepper or Coke, whatever she was buying at the time. And that had to last for two weeks. There were five people in our family. So that meant everybody got one. You would go in her room and open her drawer, and she would have like 12 Dr. Peppers in her drawer. Are you kidding me? She was hoarding her resources. So because of that scarcity mindset, it manifests as I need to hoard. I need to hoard this energy. I need to hoard the resources in order to feel safe. All right. Sixes, the loyalist. They will catastrophize, doubt everything, including themselves. They have such intuitive gifts, but when they are activated, when their nervous system is activated, they become fearful. And they're always scanning for what's wrong, what's wrong, and they don't trust themselves. So they that will manifest as fear. And seven, last but certainly not least, sevens, the enthusiast, the fun one that runs from discomfort. I know whenever I'm working with a seven, they're almost always late to the appointments. They will postpone because they don't want to do the work. They don't want to feel into any kind of discomfort. So they keep things moving. They will, they don't want to talk about any kind of thing, anything that might make them feel uncomfortable. And so they will manifest distraction or scattered energy. There's a shiny pub puppy, shiny object. So nothing is ever landing. And that can look like, oh, this job didn't work out. This project didn't work out. Let's do this other thing. So there's a list of the nine. And again, this is when the nervous system is activated and you're in fight, flight, or freeze or fawn. That's how it may show up in each of the nine types. Now I'm going to tell you a little story about how it can show up for you in your body. Personal story that happened to me nine years ago, right before I was scheduled to have my hysterectomy, which 100% I regret. And this is why I'm so passionate about this work is if I had known then what I know now, I could have avoided all of this. But my body had been giving me signals. Signals, signals, my body was screaming. Okay. So I'm telling you all of this because your body system perceives a threat and starts talking and telling you, okay, here's what's going on, and here's what was going on in my body when I chose to ignore it because I hustle, I push through. It's go big or go home. And I've learned through the years that if I listen to my body, it is befriending me, not betraying me. So I trained for the Kiowa Marathon. Kiowa is a beautiful island in South Carolina, and I had actually done a full train. 26-mile long run in preparation for this marathon. I was trained. I trained for months. I don't know. This may have been my 14th or 15th, it was probably my 14th marathon, 13th marathon. So I've done 17th, but anyway, anywho, it was I was trained. So I'm not this is not my first rodeo. I knew what I needed to do to train for this marathon. And I was scheduled to have my hysterectomy the following week. So the marathon was on December 12th. My hysterectomy was scheduled on December 19th. My hormones were completely dysregulated. My body was running on cortisol fumes. It was woefully underfed. And definitely my gut microbiome was out of balance, but I didn't understand then what was actually going on. What I did know was that at mile 23, I couldn't go another step. I curled up by a tree and took a nap at mile 23. It was terrible. It was terrible. The eight could no longer push through. My nervous system said, I'm done. My body won. There was no amount of mental toughness that could override what was going on in my body. That was my nervous system, my hormones, and my gut all at the same time saying, We're out, sister, we're out. And that tree at mile 23 was the most honest thing my body had said to me. So I don't want you to get there. I want to give you tools so that you can heal your nervous system, so you can heal your gut, so you can heal your body so you can become whole again. I'm going to give you a tool today that is at your fingertips if you have any kind of wearable. If you don't have any kind of wearable, you're going to want to get one whenever I tell you about HRV. Very few people are talking about HRV. No one who is talking about manifesting your destiny is going to talk about HRV and why it is so incredibly powerful. It gives you data to what is going on in your nervous system and why you are not manifesting your destiny. So HRV is not your heart rate. This is your heart rate bearability. So this is actually your nervous system. The nervous system is how it's running, right? And the nervous system is adaptable, it is permeable. We can change that set point. You are in create mode when you have a high HRV. That means you're regulated. That means your parasympathetic nervous system. Parasympathetic, the break, the rest, the digest. Yeah. When you have a high HRV, when you have a low heart rate variability, that means you are braced for fear. That saber-tooth tiger is just around the corner. And it may be in the form of an email. It may be in the form of a son, a daughter, a husband, a friend, a sister who is just about to activate trigger. So in that state, that's where you're in the gas pedal. Sympathetic nervous system is running the show and you're in survival mode. Your body has been keeping score the whole time. And your HRV is the scoreboard. This is the data. So I personally have an aura ring and I wear my Garmin watch and I track them on both. I think my aura ring does a better job. Gives me a lot more data. I know so much more today than I did even six months ago whenever I first got this aura ring. I understand what's going on with my sleep, which is the foundation of all health, is sleep. But I know what's going on in my nervous system. I've been tracking it and I'm doing zone two training. This is just embarrassing to even say out loud, but it is so hard. It is so hard for somebody who has done like intense workouts and loves that intensity, that lust for life that I spoke of. Yes, to do a zone two, which is low intensity, conversational pace, fully aerobic. It is parasympathetic nervous system. It is parasympathetic dominant. It improves your HRV over time. It builds real aerobic base, but it trains your nervous system to operate from a place of calm. And it feels painfully slow, painfully slow. So it has been a challenge for me to do this. It's simple, but not easy because I have that urge to push. That's my pattern. That's my pattern. I want to go big or go home. So learning what your Enneagram type is will help you understand what your patterns are and learning and seeing how when you get activated, what is going on in your body? So here's a quick tool that I've been using for years and years since I've learned I started learning about the Enneagram. And I call it the stop, drop, and roll. Everybody knows about stop, drop and roll, right? You learned that when you were in kindergarten, when there's a fire, when the house is on fire, you stop, drop and roll. What do I mean by that in terms of manifestation in your nervous system? Okay, when the house is on fire, when you get activated, when you get triggered, I'm encouraging you, I'm inviting you. And maybe you put this on a sticky note in your bathroom, put it on your phone, put it on your by your computer, stop, drop and roll. Stop and notice. What just triggered me? What pushed my button? What just notice? Drop that defense mechanism. Drop the anger, drop the anxiety, drop the fear, drop the constant thinking or the hoarding or the need to overwork. Drop the defense mechanism, roll into the present moment. Presence is a present with conscious compassion for self. We can't give away what we don't have. So stop, drop and roll, stop and notice what triggered me. Drop the defense mechanism, roll into present moment with conscious compassion. These tools will start helping you to come back to your center. Come back to your center. All right. So we're learning about zone two and HRV and all these new tools to help you calm your nervous system so that you can get in alignment with your true self. When you are aligned with your true self, your true calling, who you are meant to be, girl, you can manifest anything you want. You become unstoppable. All right. So here's another piece to the HRV that your body needs. And I wish somebody had told me this in my 20s, early 30s, certainly in my 40s, eating for your body, eating for your body. And every single body is different. Everybody needs different macros, different, you all need something different based on your body type. We'll talk more about, excuse me, Ayurveda in a following episode. This is actually going to be a three-part series, but today I'm going to talk about just the protein protocol. I know everybody protein is having its moment right now. How much protein does your body need? I don't know. I feel like getting the protein in is a part-time job to me, and it is real. It starts first thing in the morning, having some protein the minute I give it up. Going outside to get that circadian rhythm going to activate the melatonin so that I can have the good sleep. You know, so I'm having the Greek yogurt with chia seeds in the morning, scoop of collagen, and then post-workout, I'll have either some scrambled eggs today. I actually had some scrambled eggs with cottage cheese, half an avocado with a slice of tomato and a little bit of smoked salmon. It was so good. And I had a little thing of David's Killer Bread that actually has six grams of protein. It's my new fun find. Anyway, protein, protein, protein. Looking to see what your supplement stack needs to be, do your labs, get your labs done. But I have found that doing the creatine, doing the collagen, and doing the magnesium at night in Oshwagonda really has made a drastic improvement in my nervous system regulation. And the data is there. The data does not lie. I'm in another poaching program, and one of the coaches says, bring me the data, not the drama. I love that. But the data does not lie. And we all know that no amount of alcohol is good for you. It tanks your HRV. Alcohol is the worst thing for your nervous system. I know you think in the moment it makes me feel calm. I love a glass of red wine. Anyone who knows me knows I love a nap a case. I also know that I have to mitigate with, I have to mitigate that. So when I sit down for dinner, I always order a cup of hot lemon water. It will soothe your nervous system immediately. After I have a glass of wine, I will again have some hot lemon water, warm lemon water. I always have some sleepy tea or the rest tea from Trader Joe's to calm the nervous system down and to rehydrate the body. Otherwise, your sleep is off the charts and your HRV is tanked. When your body is fueled and hydrated and not running on cortisol and good intentions, your HRV goes up. When that happens, you have clarity of thought, you can make better decisions, your creativity comes back, you're not reactive, you are creating. This is not a coincidence. That is biology. A regulated fueled nervous system is the most powerful manifestation tool that you have. All right. So in every episode, I've said I'm going to give you tools. And so here are four things that you can do today to start manifesting your destiny. Yes, Wayne Dyer wrote that book, Manifest Your Destiny. That's where I learned a lot of the energetics of manifesting your destiny. Whenever I read that book, Manifesting Your Destiny, and I learned to do the Joppa, Joppa meditation, which you can find on YouTube. Maybe I'll record one one day, but Wayne Dyer did a fabulous job of the Joppa meditation. And it's basically the the sound of is the sound of creation. And that vibration in your body also soothes your nervous system. That's why when we, you know, a baby, we have a baby that's crying and we sing to the baby and we hold the baby up to our chest because they can feel that vibration. So think about the sound and the vibration. That is the sound of creation. That comes from Wayne Dyer's book, Manifesting Your Destiny. But here's some tools to get your nervous system stabilized because you cannot think your way out of a dysregulated nervous system. And you cannot manifest your destiny whenever you are in survival mode. All right, number one, mindfulness. Right now, just do this right now. Take one hand, put it on your heart, and breathe in. Allow the exhale to be longer than the inhale. This activates the vagus nerve and signifies safety in your body. Do this throughout your day. Catch yourself and notice how it shifts your heart rate bearability. So the foundation of everything that I talk about and everything I teach and everything is mindfulness, meditation, and mantra. Mindfulness. Be present. Catch yourself in the act of what have you really been up to? Catch yourself when you get into that defensive mode. Notice how the defenses show up. Stop, drop, and roll with mindfulness. Next, mantra. I am are the two most powerful words that you use every day. Whatever follows it, your nervous system is listening because your nervous system, your cells are listening to every thought you think. So you say, I'm tired, I'm overwhelmed, I'm exhausted, I'm broke. Well, you're calling it in. I want to encourage you to flip it. Say things that are true and that you are calling forward. Your words are powerful. I am. I am that I am. I am strong. I am present. I'm abundant. I'm loved. I am. All right. So you want to co-create. You get what you focus on, whether you want it or not. So what are you talking about? You say, Well, I've heard I need to do these mantras that say I am healthy and I'm wealthy and I'm wise and I'm all of this stuff. And you say, I looked in my bank account this morning and I'm not wealthy. That's a lie. Okay. Where in where in your life are you wealthy? So I'm going to teach you about the focus wheel. The focus wheel is a surefire way to change your energy. So maybe you need to turn on some music, you need to shake it out, change up your body, go for a walk, change up the energy then. Okay, where in my life am I wealthy? Where in my life am I healthy? Okay. Wealth. What does wealth really mean? It means having resources, right? Well, it can be as small as I have an amazing toothbrush. I love my toothbrush. I've got this fancy electric toothbrush and I love my toothpaste. And I love having clean teeth. That makes me feel wealthy when I can get up every morning and brush my teeth. I love my sheets. I have the best sheets. I really, I love my sheets. I have good sheets. My sheets make me feel guilty. Make me feel wealthy. Every time I get in my bed, I feel like, wow, these are luxury sheets. This feels wealthy. And now I want you to think about your health. Look at your body. Where in your life are you healthy? And get focused on that. I'm really strong. I got up. I can walk by myself. I can feed myself. I can do all these things. Focus on what makes you feel good. Where are you loved? You say, I want more love in my life. Where do you have love? I tell you who loves me. My dogs love me. My dogs love me. I've got this beautiful great Dane who's a rescue. She loves me. Bella, Bella, Bella loves me. You know, when she really loves me, it's at 6 a.m. in the morning when she wants us to get up at the crack of dawn because it's like Christmas to her every single day. And she is so excited to get up. That dog loves me. And the more I focus on how much that dog loves me, and the more I can see how my Tessa, my little Boston, loves me. I have so much love in my life. Get excited about that energy because remember, it's a frequency. You attract what you are, not what you want. The angry person gets the coffee spilled on them. Remember that. The angry person gets the coffee spilled on them. When I can change that vibration, I walk in and I'm like, whoo, I feel good. You can feel that vibration. So you focus on that. You focus on the things that you do have. You focus on the good, how good that feels whenever I brush my teeth, whenever I have my breakfast, whenever I have my coffee. Oh, this feels good. I feel good. Now, do you feel the energy in that versus, oh my God, I'm so exhausted, I'm broke, I'm tired. Pay attention to your words. Those are your mantras, my friend. All right, third on here. So we've said mindfulness with your breath, mantra with your words, meditation, meditation, meditation, meditation. And you say, I can't meditate. My mind won't stop. Perfect. This is exactly for you. Andrew Huberman, who I adore, he's a neuroscientist. If you've never listened to his podcast, it is amazing. He gives so many amazing tools. But here's what he says, and he talks about this extensively about neuroscience confirming what Eastern wisdom has been teaching us for over 5,000 years. Five minutes a day of meditation can rewire the brain through neuroplasticity. The brain is literally building new pathways, new wiring, a new set point, new default. But that's not woo, that's neuroscience. Here's what happens from the neuroscience perspective. Your prefrontal cortex, that thinking, deciding, creating brain gets stronger. The amygdala, the threat detector, the alarm system, the thinking keeping you in survival starts to actually quiet down. Your nervous system learns through repetition that stillness is safe. So what would happen if you got really still, put one hand on your heart, did your breath work for five minutes, signaling to your body that you were safe. Guess what? You just shifted your set point. You just increased your heart rate variability. The data doesn't lie. And here's what I love about this neuroscience. You don't have to be good at it. Every time your mind wanders off, come back. Remember what I said a couple of weeks ago. Give the monkey a banana, a mantra, the breath, the flame of a candle, the hum of an air conditioner, Huberman cause. That moment of return is the actual rep. Like the return to your workout when you're doing reps. So you're not failing at meditation when your thoughts drift. You're doing it five minutes a day. Not a one and done once a week, but a daily practice. I'm gonna actually record a guided meditation. I'll put it in the show notes. Start, start there. Your nervous system will thank you. And when we start really looking at your HRV, your heart rate variability, it will show you the data doesn't lie. All right, fourth is your macros. Green and protein. Eat your protein at your next meal. Green and protein. I was undereating for so many years, hustling, pushing, pushing, pushing, and under-eating. I'm not saying you got to eat 150 grams of protein today. Start with one meal, but you have to fuel your body. Your nervous system runs on it. And a depleted body cannot manifest. You cannot co-create when you're hungry. A fueled body can. Here's the through line that we've talked about today. Your nervous system is not the enemy, it is your honest messenger. Your body is not betraying you, it is befriending you. And it is a mirror and it is showing up in your relationships and in your money and in your health. And yes, whether you can actually manifest or not. This is about alignment. When you are in alignment with your true self, you allow, ask and it is given, but only when your nervous system can say yes and is regulated enough to receive it. You cannot think your way out of a dysregulated body. You cannot push your way out of survival mode, but you can fuel it, track it, train it, and practice your way to becoming calm. And from calm, you can create. So if this resonated with you, never miss an episode. Subscribe today. Share it with somebody who may be tired and wired, or you've heard say, Why am I not creating? Actually, I gave you four M's today. Mindfulness, mindfulness with your breath, the mantra. I am that I am. I am a badass. Say that out loud. I am all that I want to be. I am that I am. I am powerful. I am the creator of my life. Meditation, meditation, meditation. Five minutes a day. That's all it takes. And macros. Counter macros, my friend. All right.
