Aquatic plants are those that can be found in any salt or freshwater environment - a small fish tank, home aquarium, lake, pond, water feature - you get the idea. Whether they live above the water, are fully submerged in water or somewhere in between doesn't make too much of a difference. The main concept is that aquatic plants are any species that naturally prosper in a wet environment.
