Ava Cyr

Ava Cyr is an aspiring journalist, studying at the University of California State Northridge. Originally from Minnesota, Ava Cyr grew up with Prince's music- thanks to her mom. It wasn't until his passing in April of 2016 that she fully understood his impact. After watching her mom sulk for hours, she turned to her phone and truly listened to Purple Rain for the first time. Although she never had the opportunity to see the purple one perform live, Ava Cyr has spent the better half of her life diving into Prince's world. From creating a Prince club in high school- to taking inspiration from his genius into her own projects, Ava Cyr has dedicated her life to continuing his legacy for generations to come.
