Yeah, I'm totally ready for the weekend. Happy to be uh just doing this here with you today to kind of get pumped up. But today on the podcast, we have something pretty unique here. We're gonna do a draft day, and so we are gonna go park by park. Uh, if we don't make it through today on the episode, we'll start with the Magic Kingdom. We'll do all the parks, uh, maybe with the exception of Animal Kingdom, because there isn't a ton. So the rules of the podcast. We are going to pick five rides apiece.

All right. Five rides, one attraction or show. All right. One sit-down restaurant.

You gotta have quick eats. And then one snack. And so uh we'll get the list, and what we'll do is we'll go back and forth. I'll give you first pick every time and let it be ladies' choice, and then we'll evaluate how we did. Uh we'll start with the Magic Kingdom, we'll evaluate, we'll go pick by pick, we'll put it against each other. Like, you know, if you pick Pirates of the Caribbean and I pick Tron, which one is the better ride? Like who gets a point for each one? That's we'll kind of debate that out.

I hope everybody at home understands what I'm saying. It's a little bit convoluted, but we'll get through it. Yeah. All right, so we'll figure it out as we go. Yeah, we're basically picking our team. So this is going to be our Magic Kingdom team. Uh, I'll give you just kind of a rundown of the rides here at the Magic Kingdom. You've got the Astro Orbiter, uh, that's the ride that's almost like Dumbo's Flying Circus that goes around at the top of um Tomorrowland. You've got Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger spin, an indoor shooting dark ride. You've got Space Mountain. Love it.

Oh, yeah. We're gonna be vying for that one.

Yeah, I mean, we gotta go back and forth. That thing is my chiropractor. Uh, we got the Tomorrowland Speedway. I don't love this thing, but you can have it. You can have that one. Uh, we've got the People Mover, which is uh, you know, it's actually like a really nice jaunt around uh you know Tomorrowland. It's nice. Uh we've got the carousel progress, we've got Tron.

I feel like Carousel Progress. Should that be like a show?

Yeah, I'll agree to that. I think that's a that'll go into like a show or an attraction. Okay. Okay. Uh, we have the Barnstormer, which is uh Goofy's uh little mini uh roller coaster back there. The kids went on it, they're like too big for it, even yeah, but uh not a bad one. I get roped into that one once in a while. Uh, we have Dumbo's flying uh elephants, uh yeah, Dumbo's flying circus there, you know, where you go up and down with Dumbo. We've got It's a Small World. Oh no, we're not gonna fight for that.

We've got the Mad Tea Party, we've got the many adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan's Flight, Seven Dwarves Mind Train, The Journey of the Little Mermaid, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, The Haunted Mansion, The Jungle Cruise, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Uh yeah, but we'll have to fight for it. You can go first, but just remember I get to go after that. Uh attractions and shows. So I think I'll take the carousel of progress and put it over in the tractions or shows. I know that it it moves around in circles, but it's that's a show.

Yeah, yeah. It's it's very, very deceptive there. Uh, we've got the country bear jamboree, the hall of presidents. Yeah, if the hall of presidents is uh is a show, then carousel of progress is a show. Uh Mickey's Philharm Magic, uh Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room. I love it, and then Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. All right. Now, I'll I'll also include uh the the parade, okay?

So the uh you know maybe we should pick get to pick two shows.

You want to pick two shows? Okay, all right all right, fine. We'll switch it. We'll do two shows. That's good. So you can do the parade, and I'll let you do even like a specific parade if you want that happens in the Magic Kingdom, even like a holiday parade if you want.

Okay. Okay. What about the fireworks then?

Yes. So then happily ever after, the nighttime fireworks show will give you that. Or you can even say specific, you can say specific holiday fireworks too, like Halloween or or Christmas or something like that. Yeah, and we've got uh quick service restaurants. You've got Sleepy Hollow. Uh they have the uh chicken and waffles and the fruit waffle over there. You've got Columbia Harbor House where they have the you know baked salmon and rice and uh fried fish and fried chicken fingers. You know, it's nice, it's like a little New England vibe going on over there.

Um, we've got Fryer Nook. Uh Friar's Nook has got those little mini donuts. Sometimes they do tater tots over there. There's a bratwurst usually on the menu, something like that. Casey's Corner, which has the unique hot dogs, and they also have um uh the little mini corn dog nuggets. We've got Westward Ho, uh, which is over there in front and Frontierland. We've got Cosmic Rays, which is you know, burgers, fries, chicken stuff, uh chicken strips, stuff like that, over in Tomorrowland. And then there's like a slew of other little snack carts and stuff.

What about did you mention uh Pecos Bills? No, um I did, yeah.

Pecos Bills. I think I skipped over on accident. Yeah, Pecos Bills would be a quick service as well.

Oh well, yeah, yeah, right. We all know you don't be tipping your hand, you know. All right, now I'll take us through the table service restaurants that are at the Magic Kingdom. Uh, they have Cinderella's Royal Table. You know, this is gonna be the iconic restaurant to be able to eat in Cinderella's castle. It's one of the most sought-after dining reservations in all of the Magic Kingdom. You've got the Crystal Palace right on Main Street USA there. They have uh uh Winnie the Pooh and friends come to uh join you while you eat, which is really nice. Uh, you've got Be Our Guest. Uh, it's gonna be in Fantasyland. You can eat right in Bell's Castle. You also have Liberty Tree Tavern, that's one of the favorites, you know. Thanksgiving every day. I I know that you like that. And even being you got the gluten-free menu from there before, and you love it.

No, I know we'll fight for this one. We've got Skipper's Canteen in Adventureland. Amazing restaurant, unique flavors in there. They got flavors of Africa, Asia. I love it. And on the whole menu, there, a lot of gluten-free. They can make that whole menu 100% gluten-free. They also have the diamond horseshoe in Liberty Square, which is basically an offshoot. It's just more Liberty Tree Tavern in a different environment. It doesn't make too much sense to me. I hope they do something different there at some point. They have the plaza restaurant on Main Street. Here you can get like turkey clubs and stuff like that. The only advantage to going to this restaurant is to go it's at uh a time when there'd be the fireworks, so you can kind of sit outside that restaurant and and look at the fireworks. Other than that, it's just like burgers, fries, nothing too great. It's nothing great. And then they have Tony's Town Square on Main Street, USA. Uh, it's basically the restaurant from Lady and the Tramp. Uh, you've got Tony in there cooking up a bunch of uh Italian classics, you know, where you can get lasagna, Alfredo covered breadsticks, a whole bunch of delicious things in there. All right, I'm gonna fire off a lot of things for you, real quick, for um just snack stops in general. You've got the Cheshire Cattail Stand, you've got Gaston's Tavern that has the cinnamon rolls, you have the Liberty Square Market where you can go get a pretzel or a banana. Sometimes they have little fruit parfaits and and little snack boxes to go. Uh, we've got the Main Street Bakery, we've got Sleepy Hollow, where you can get the chicken and waffles and all those fun things. You've got the Friar's Nook, you've got the launching pad over in Tomorrowland, where they usually do like a unique hot dog. You've got Westward Hoe in Frontierland, where they've got that candied bacon and now that uh bacon-covered caramel pecan cinnamon roll that everybody's talking about. We've got Aloha Isle where you can go get upside down pineapple pineapple upside down cake uh dole whip and uh the dole whip floats. You've got anti-gravity's goodies in Tomorrowland, where you could go and get uh they've got different cold brews and ice cream in there. You've got a bunch of Joffrey's coffee locations. Um, what else? What else am I missing? I'm trying to think. Oh, there's got they have uh Sunshine Tree Terrace and Storybook Treats. So Sunshine Tree Terrace is where you get that orange bird float. Uh storybook treats in Fantasyland. Uh that's another good one. Sometimes they have specialty Sundays in there. Uh the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor where you can get ice cream. Again, Golden Oak Outpost in Fantasyland. I think I've gone through almost all of them.

And the Pinocchio Village House.

Yes. So, you know, in a Pinocchio, you can get terrible flatbreads. And let's not forget the spring roll cart. That is there. I didn't want to mention it, but someone will be reaching for the spring roll cart or something.

It really is. So, like just to get into it for a second, there is not a time, and I like I almost like saying it, I almost get like a little bit emotional, like it's so weird. You know, going to the Magic Kingdom for the first time with my grandpa, and he's past now. Um, you know, riding Pirates of the Caribbean, there's something like I'm four, I'm gonna be 44 years old coming up, and I'm just thinking to myself, that smell, it's so iconic, and not, you know, there's not a ton that's changed. You know, you've added Johnny Depp to the ride a little bit, you know, Captain Jack Sparrow, but it's just so iconic. And every time I go in it, that smell brings me back to being, you know, a 10-year-old boy at Walt Disney World for the first time.

She hold my beer. She housed that thing. All right, so it's back over to me. And now it's how many rides do I have? I have four rides right now, correct? Um, okay. And I am going to take. I think like I'm just gonna lose in this ride category because you've got me almost here. I am going to take one more ride, and I am going to take. Oh man, I've got my two shows. This is tough. I'm basically down to quick service here. This is what I'm down to, right? I got two quick services and a snack. I the I am going to take uh the spring roll cart.

You're coming back over to me. At this point, there's nothing uh ride rise ride-wise that I even care about. Pick someone for the children, maybe. I'm looking at it, it's fine. I gotta get back to quick service. I am going to take um I'm gonna take Columbia Harbor House here. And I stand behind Columbia Harbor House. I think it's like a very unique quick eat stop. Uh, you know, you can get the you know, broiled pieces of salmon in there and rice. There's lighter fare, there's a lobster roll in there. Where else are you gonna get a lobster roll in a theme park? So that's that's my peck.

I've done it all, huh? All right, so I have a ride left. There's not a ton of stuff left here. I mean, I guess I will take. Oh man, I'm not taking it's a small world. I'll tell you that right now. I'll take the journey of the little mermaid, I guess.

All right. So for the rides, I have in my amazing theme park. I have Tron, Tiana's Bayou, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, the Haunted Mansion, and Jungle Cruise.

I mean, you're killing me here. There's no way. So you're gonna take this round no matter what. I've got Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, starting strong. Then it just goes terribly downhill from there. Uh, if I take it side by side, though, okay, Tron or Space Mountain, which one wins? I mean, that's very close, to be completely honest. Who would you have the pointer? Tron. Tron, but it's it's two seconds of your life. Space Mountain's iconic. I will fight for Space Mountain a little bit in this category. I like that you took Tron, but yeah, sure, the newest ride there, unique that you get to ride a motorcycle. It is literally a 42-second ride. The Space Mountain's amazing. And if you've ever ridden Space Mountain in the dark, Space Mountain with the Christmas music. I mean, there's like so many different iterations. I know. And I feel like it's a coin toss. I feel like it's like 50 50 here. This might be a time.

And I feel like when you're at the park and you go on it the first time, you're like, okay, yeah, that was fun for Space Mountain. And then the second time you go on it, it's like better. Yeah. And then you're like, all right, one more time when I go on, and then it's like even better.

I I feel like they should just leave me on space. It will fix all my L4, L5 back problems. Or might give me whiplash. Might give me neck problems. Alright, so listen, can we just say that Tron and Space Mountain is a tie, at least? At the very least, it's a tie. We'll say that's a push in that round. Okay. Push. Going to Tiana's and Pirates. Again, these are two very tough.

Because I I mean Tiana's has like some thrills in it, which you know, I'm definitely want like the thrills.

And if we go Haunted Man, then if we go Jungle Cruise Little Mermaid, the Jungle Cruise is twice twice the ride as Little Mermaid. So by by a actually a fair a tiny margin here, I think you take the rides. I would rather go on your rides.

I think from everybody's standpoint, outside of me and you here, would say Cinderella's royal table. They've got breakfast there, they've got lunch and dinner. You can't get breakfast at Skipper Canteen, you know? You got princesses. When are you gonna see Jasmine? When are you gonna see uh Ariel and Belle and all these princesses together while you're eating?

She then takes me in the sweet treat category with Sunshine Tree Terrace, basically Dole Whip beating out the Cheshire Cattails.
