Buckle up, grab your favorite park snack, and prepare to question everything you thought you knew about Walt Disney World. Today it's all about the hot takes. Here we go.
SPEAKER_03Come on, everybody. Here we go.
SPEAKER_01Hello and welcome to Here We Go, the Walt Disney World podcast where we talk rides, foods, resorts, shows. Nothing is off limits, and everything is on the table today because we are talking hot takes. Nothing is safe, nothing is sacred. And I'm sure we're gonna spark some arguments here today. Possibly friendship ending Disney opinions are gonna happen here today, hon. Oh man. All right. With me as always is my lovely wife, Kim. Kim, say hello to everybody at home.
SPEAKER_02Hey guys, I'm happy to be here. I'm happy to both defend and dispute some hot takes.
SPEAKER_01Ooh, I like it. Ooh, you're loaded. You're loaded from there. Let's go. Before we get into it, we're recording here today on a Wednesday, nice and early. Uh, we've got about 20 days before we take our next Disney vacation. Excited for that. Are you pumped up?
SPEAKER_02Oh, I'm so pumped. I can't wait. I'm counting down the hours.
SPEAKER_01I know. You know what's cool is like I've seen a lot of people have these um uh like Disney countdowns almost like uh like advent calendars and things like that. So I might surprise you. There might be something in the next couple weeks where we have a countdown going, like we're like little kids. All right, we basically are little kids. Yeah, I'm a giant man child. Uh, but um, yeah, how was your week otherwise?
SPEAKER_02It was good, yeah. You know, halfway through. Actually, I have the next two days off. So full full weight, yeah. Yeah, it was a nice short week. I'm ready to uh have a little rest and relaxation this weekend, celebrate some Easter.
SPEAKER_01Nice Easter weekend. Let's go. All right, so let's get into it. Today it's all about hot takes, and to go over what a hot take is it is an unpopular opinion, usually. So some of these hot takes are going to be our own personal hot takes, some of them we've grabbed from the internet. Uh, there's a lot out there. If you even just like Google Disney hot takes, I mean, people have strong opinions. Yeah, these are not just like, oh yeah, I could take or leave Space Mountain, they are strong opinions. Disney folks are not regular folks, right? I mean, especially like Disney adults. And now I'm a full-blown Disney adult, so it's fine. I'm not gonna say anything crazy here, and I think you're a Disney adult as well. So slowly but surely becoming a Disney adult. Yeah, I mean, this next trip will solidify you and being like I was literally gonna say the same thing, yeah.
SPEAKER_02But that might be the only thing we agree on. This whole thing.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, you're trying to start a fight. I the look that you just gave me, the folks at home can't feel spicy. I guess so. We're gonna get rid of it on a Wednesday, all right. Um, I'll I'll I'll do the first hot take, right? I'll give a like a layup. And this is my this is a personal one for me. You guys know that my favorites, and I've talked about it before, and you know, honey, that my favorite snack at Walt Disney World is popcorn. I love popcorn, like in general. Like, take me to the movies, I'm gonna eat a large bucket of popcorn. I I love popcorn. Um, but I will say my first hot take, and this is just a warm take, that a that a dry Mickey pretzel is probably the worst snack in all of Walt Disney World, and probably like you know, a terrible value as well.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean, I'm gonna have to agree on that one with you. Um, might be the only thing we agree on again.
SPEAKER_01But why are you coming at me so hot? I think we should stop being so contentious here. Uh, yeah, you agree on that one. I mean, I don't think it's that hot of a take.
SPEAKER_02Dry, you you think they're gonna be better than they are.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean they're Mickey shaped, so anything Mickey shape, you're like, ooh, it's gotta be great. Shape shape like my hero. But that is false. That is not the case with these pretzels. Yes, but let's talk about the other pretzels that I've gotten before. The sweet cream cheese pretzel, it might be one of the best pretzels I've ever had. You can find that over at like the lunch.
SPEAKER_02If you stuff the pretzel with something, it's gonna be great.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's great. So, like, um, the other thing is that they over in um uh Pixar Pier, I guess is what they call that. Over like as you're walking from like Mickey and Mickey's runway railway over around the corner to go into Toy Storyland. Um, at the one stand where they have like Jack Jack's nom nom cookie, they also have a uh a spicy pepper jack cheese-filled pretzel, and that thing's really good. I usually always get that, but yeah, these pretzels are astronomically better than a dry Mickey pretzel, even if you put some of that plastic cheese on it, it is just a vessel for that plastic cheese. You don't notice how much cheese they give you, too. Is that the cheese is a better value?
SPEAKER_02They know it'll disguise the taste of the pretzel.
SPEAKER_01I mean, that cheese is huge. Last time we finished the pretzel, as a we got a couple as a family. We had some leftover cheese, and we were like, what do we do with all cheese?
SPEAKER_02Oh, we dipped our popcorn in it.
SPEAKER_01Yes, we started dipping popcorn. That is the biggest backest move. That is a big back move right there. It's delicious. It was really good. Uh okay, I'll let you give me your first real hot take.
SPEAKER_02All right. I'm gonna say that Dole Whip is mid at best.
SPEAKER_01You're that is a cream. This is your hot take.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean you talked about the I love it, you float. Well, okay, I guess if you put it in a float form, yeah, it's better. But otherwise, it's just kind of like a sorbet. I would much rather have like a creamy, like custard, like a chocolate vanilla twist type thing.
SPEAKER_01But what when what what about when they twist the pineapple with the vanilla? I love I love that.
SPEAKER_02I don't know if I have tried that yet.
SPEAKER_01I don't think you have. I think whenever we get it, you get it in float form or like straight up, like just like the pineapple dough. Yeah, I think you should try it swirled next time we go somewhere. Try it swirled. I like the idea of fruit swirled with like the cream. That's a good flavor. I feel like you like that type of flavor.
SPEAKER_02But cream simply I think when I like go for desserts, I usually go for more like a rich like chocolate peanut butter instead of like fruit flavored stuff.
SPEAKER_01So I gotcha. Yeah, you're not very fruity. I get into the fruity pebbles. You're not that's not your jam. Cinnamon, chocolate, vanilla. Yes, yeah, okay, I got you. So that is a crazy take, though. You're gonna have people with pitchforks at our house.
SPEAKER_02Comment on the podcast, tell me what you think of Dole Whip. I like that. All right, let us know. Tell us your true feelings about Dole Whip, or if you guys have any hot takes, comment on them and then we're gonna bring them up our next podcast.
SPEAKER_01I love that as well. If June was here, she would be kicking holes in the wall like a feral mule. Okay, because like Dole Whip is her favorite thing, but she's she's fruity, she loves the fruit. Um, I I'm gonna say this. Uh, this will be my first, this is a very hot take. I think rise of the resistance is just more visually impressive than it is actually fun. Yeah, I I feel like half of that ride, they're cattling me, walking me around somewhere. I'm like, okay, what am I doing? And depending on the group that you're with, either personally, if you've ridden it like six times, like you know, you're the suspension of your disbelief can be out the window, or like the people that you may not be with or in that group could be goofing around, or they could be teens. Like, we've got we've been on it before where teens were getting like yelled at, yeah, like that. So, and I feel like you're kind of like just anticipating like when they're gonna open the doors to go to the next thing, so you're just like trying to like get first in line, like it really matters, but and like you really have to think like half of that ride is just spectacle a room full of 200 stormtroopers or whatever, you know, like you know, they're barely moving, but yeah, to me, uh it's not my favorite ride in that part.
SPEAKER_02No, definitely not. Like, I'll go on it once, but yeah, I could I could honestly take it or leave it. I don't know if I I mean I have to go.
SPEAKER_01I think the first time that you do it, you're like, whoa, they made that. Like it's it's visually like, oh my god, that is the you know, and if you're a Star Wars fan, it's crazy, but I mean, put me on Twilight's own tower of terror, you know. You know, I I think that you know, personally, I like Mickey and Mickey Mini's runaway railway all real lot, and people um, you know, they don't talk about that enough. I think that that's a really fun, trackless ride, like just the visual, I think it's a more fun, uh, you know, visually just as like stunning like oh my god, we're in a cartoon, but a very fun ride. Like that ride's fun to me.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that one is a good one.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I don't know. That's uh that's my first one, or my first real hot take. I think the pretzel one was kind of warm.
SPEAKER_02Um, let's see. When I was just doing a little research online, um, I saw that this hot take that Disney adults care more about optimizing than actually experiencing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I have some that are like that too, so maybe we'll get to it or yeah. But I think that is like I do completely agree with that because these days it's like so much about having an itinerary. What is your rope drop uh you know, schedule look like, your, your, your tactics, your you know making the reservations a month in advance. I mean, I'm up at 6 a.m. making reservations a bunch of times.
SPEAKER_02Like, I'm doing like honestly, I think that optimizing it will enhance your experience for sure.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean, doing it is going to uh enhance your experience, but I have some down the road. I think sometimes that odd little whim of a thing that you do will lead you to the finding like your next like favorite thing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and that kind of happened last year when we went and we just like went to Hollywood Studios for half the day when we got there. Yeah, and you know, we got there after noon, we just kind of like did our thing, no lightning lanes, nothing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think we got there, we got there actually at like was it that late? It was probably like 11 o'clock or something. It was late, it wasn't it was late.
SPEAKER_02I think what we discovered at that time without you know having too much of a plan that the kids loved pin trading. Yeah, like I mean, my my son got into it. Your kids already kind of knew what it was.
SPEAKER_01All three of the kids really got into pin trading, and I've always been into it since I was a kid. Like, I I was into it. I got pins, you know, from when I was a little kid, but it is such a fun thing to do. Like, you know, I think we'll have a full episode where we'll talk about free things at Walt Disney World that are just like uh a lot of fun. I mean I don't know if the the pins are are free, you gotta make a purchase, but being able to trade the pins is a lot of fun, yeah.
SPEAKER_02It just kind of gets you like hours of like entertainment, yeah, going stand to stand and trying to find cool pins.
SPEAKER_01If they just wouldn't try to kill each other over certain pins, yeah. Enforce new rules that I didn't think. File up, children. No one touches the pins. They're like cutting off old people to try to get them. I know. I'm like, yeah, I've taught you better than this. Um, okay. Uh just jumping off my last one. I'll stick with rides a little bit here. I'm gonna say, and this is this is actually a hot take that I'm uh it this is from me, so I think that the only true, really true Disney thrill ride is the Twilight Zone Tower Terror.
SPEAKER_02Like when you say thrilled, you mean kind of like a little like suspenseful, scary? Well yeah, I mean that's thrill.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yes, yes, thrill. I mean, we have been to Cedar Point, we've been to Universal. I I think would you call would you call Tron a thrill ride?
SPEAKER_02I mean, I think I would call it a thrill ride.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I guess you're right. I I guess you're right there, but like, is it really it's not taking us like up a huge hill? Like it looks like a baby's bonnet from far away. It's not scary. Yeah, Twilight's out tower Twilight's on Tower of Terror uh is actually like gives you like, oh my god. To this day, the anticipation of that door opening and like looking out, yeah, you know that that door opens and you look out over Hollywood Boulevard, and you're just like, oh my god. Yeah, you know, there's there's something there that I don't think any of the other rides. The only thing I will say is possibly Expedition Everest on the point where the track almost goes off the track. I'd say that one gives it a run for the money, but I'm not saying like I think Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind, amazing roller coaster, yeah, Hollywood uh um the the rock and roller coaster, amazing roller coaster, but are these like truly thrill rides in 2026? Is this a thrill ride? No, I think they're just fun roller coasters. Yes, I think they're great rides, and and the one case in point that I'll make here on this, and I don't want to defend it too hard, is our youngest, Sully, Disney, a Disney named child. Sully will go on every single ride, and he is so afraid he's gonna be nine years old. He is still, it's like pulling teeth to get him on the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Like, he's still afraid of that thing. He's like, Oh no, uh-uh, heck no. Like, oh heck no. Like, he does not to this day.
SPEAKER_02It's like a even when we bribe him, he still won't go on there.
SPEAKER_01Hard bribes, like hundred dollar. Like, I'll buy you like a a Star Lord jacket to a you know, whatever. Like, he still is saying no. So I don't know. That's my hot take on that. I I've almost talked myself out of it a little bit. I think you're right, you know, there there are some other, especially like Expedition Everyone. But but don't get me wrong, I would still much rather go to Disney than Universal currently, you know. That's just my preference, but I think Universal does have a lot to offer as well.
SPEAKER_02Yes. I am gonna say a hot take that I I do kind of believe in this one. Sit-down restaurants are a waste of value, valuable park time.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so I'll piggyback off of that one because I have another one here that um in most like theme parks, quick service meals are usually better than the table service meals. And I think those are some of the reasons why. I mean, I think don't get me wrong, I love table service restaurants. I love them. I mean, we talk about skipper canteen, we talk about we're and we're gonna go like six different ones on this next trip.
SPEAKER_02Right. And I but I think I guess going as like a family with kids, it probably would benefit you more not to do like a table, like a sit-down.
SPEAKER_01I mean, if you're just me and you, yeah, if you're going on an adults-only trip, take the time, sit down, yeah. But you know, like us too, we probably don't do that many table service restaurants because let's get in and get out. Let's there's so many great quick service restaurants. I mean, the things that I love most might not come from a table service restaurant. I mean, I talk about those cheeseburger spring rolls all the time, yeah. You know, Pecos bills, you know, like is Pecos Bills that much better than the San Daniel Inn? You know, is it that much better? It's not astronomically better, it might be double the cost, and you'll be in there for twice as long. Yeah, if you're not trying to just beat the heat to chill out, the look at that Aztec temple and people going on the three caboyeros Fiesta boat ride tour, which is my favorite thrill, ride.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I guess I feel I feel this hot take. I felt it more strongly last year when we went to space 220. Yes, and we got out of there, and we're like, why did we just waste the time doing that? Oh, it's two hours. And it was during a festival, so we had all these like food options available to us. So I guess it just they have a time and a place, yeah.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, I would say like in if you were to take away all the table service restaurants, I wouldn't care. Yeah, as much. I mean, I would I would let me say that I wouldn't I would definitely care, but I'm saying it wouldn't affect how I go through the park. I could definitely go through and be like, all right, well, we're gonna go ahead and get this, you know, creme role a donut, and everybody get a hot dog, and now we can get over and go to Satuly Canteen and eat something a little healthier, have a Ronto wrap, you know. There's ways to do it, yeah, for sure. There's just so many options, you're still gonna like find good eats. Woody's lunchbox. Yeah, yeah. There's a lot of great eats everywhere. It's not like you're eating the most healthy thing just because you're at a table service restaurant. Sure, you may get offered up a salad or a vegetable, yeah. But you can still figure out a way to do that. Go back to any one of the resorts that you're staying at, you can go get a salad easily. Yeah, sushi. There's all kinds of stuff, depending on when you're where you're staying. Um, all right. So while we're talking about food, how about this? My next hot take is that character dining is just paying to be interrupted while you eat.
SPEAKER_02Um hey, you said it. You believe it?
SPEAKER_01I don't know if I completely believe it, but it is one of these things where if you don't know what character dining is, you know, you sit down, you'll pay a premium price, usually somewhere between 72 to 100. At least 50, you're gonna spend at least, I think the cheapest one is around$42, around$40 for a Cape May cafe, which is a character breakfast, but they go up to about a hundred bucks. Yeah, and um the purpose that's per person. And um, you know, the characters will come around while you're eating. You know, we got chef Mickeys or in chef clothes, they'll all come over to you while you're eating, and you're guaranteed to have them stop over. That's like a part of it, you know, they're gonna make their rounds while you're eating, but you know, sometimes they might come over twice. And the times that I've gone, I'm just sitting there eating, and I'm like, oh man, here comes Donald. But I just found something. Most of them are like buffets, too. I just found something I like. Now it's gonna get cold because I gotta take pictures of my kids with Donald. And I'm a giant kid, so I'm like, oh dang, Donald, come here, give me a hug. Yeah, like it is uh if you are an introvert, this is not for you for sure. And it's it is getting interrupted over and over again. We are we do have one scheduled coming up, uh Topolino's terrace. We're gonna do uh the breakfast there with uh Mickey and his friends all in the artist clothes, which is kind of cool. But I don't know if you got little kids, I think it's worth it, go for it. Man, I really don't need to do it. It's kind of nice that we're gonna do it together here for this. It's like a little but also like the food looks great too. So, yeah, that's uh that's the other thing. Like, I don't want to go to a buffet, get my finally get my buffet, like stand up, sit down, eat. Now I have like Pluto in my face. Like, yes, okay, yes, I love you. I love you. I'm eating strawberry soup right now, please.
SPEAKER_02Uh yeah, you got another one for us? All right, so how about this? Skyliner access matters more than anything else when picking a resort.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I mean, that's a dangerous one. I will I will go anti that. I think Skyliner is uh the best mode of transportation, but I wouldn't mind staying at any of them, the monorail resorts either. I think you've got a lot of good great choices there as well. I mean, you're gonna stay at the Polynesian, you can stay at you know, the contemporary. I love the contemporary. Yeah, you know, uh, I've never stayed at the Grand Floridian, but it is on my bucket list. We'll go there. I I know we you've only gone past it, but we'll go inside so you can see it. But it's super opulent and you know, nice. But okay, uh, Skyliner access is is yeah, you're you're right. I have one very similar, so we'll just get into my other hot take is that transportation convenience matters way more than resort quality or theming every single time.
SPEAKER_02Hmm. Well, I will say that included transportation is awesome because the last time we went and we stayed like off property, we had to like make sure we got Uber every time. So it was you know, adding on like an extra like hour of travel time, and it's the worst, and an extra probably hundred bucks a day to pay for which we could have just put which we could have just put back into staying at a better place to stay.
SPEAKER_01We so you live and learn, yeah. You learn because I mean you could stay at a value resort for what we paid, you know, you could stay to pop century and been right there and had the Skyliner art of uh or art of animation, had the Skyliner right there, yeah. So I think that transportation convenience matters way more. I mean, I know that's a hot take, but I think that if you were to go put me over at the wilderness lodge, which is gorgeous, but you're only getting buses, or you can get that boat over there to Magic Kingdom, but still it's like, oh man, I know.
SPEAKER_02And we were looking at um Coronado Springs, yeah. That one, yeah, what didn't have it's just buses only, buses, yeah.
SPEAKER_01And that's tough. Like, if you're over at Coronado Springs, it's gorgeous. We want to stay in that Grandestino Tower, which would be an awesome, like honeymoon place to be, and they have like Toledo, like all these amazing restaurants, but now you're on an oasis of buses, like the buses are the worst transportation. So I think when you think about it, like theming is great, but how much time do you really spend in your room? I mean, if you're not an elderly person just hanging out at the resort, are you really just staying there the whole time? Like a down day is something to make sure that your feet aren't sore anymore, so you can go ride more, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, basically there to sleep, maybe uh take a dip in the pool, but yeah, yeah, transportation, very important. How about this?
SPEAKER_01Oh, can I can I stop you real quick? Sure. I have one more that's on here that we can just like add on here. Theming at the resort stops mattering after day one. Like, like you will we will go back and forth and be like, oh, what is all-star sports? Pop century, what's at this one? Oh, Caribbean Beach, you know? Yeah, I think that matters after the charm of that wears off after day one, with maybe the exception of the Polynesian. The Polynesian is like Hawaii every day, and that's yeah, very, very nice. You know, there's a difference of Hawaii every day, and you're like, all right, cool. I saw a giant yo yo, nice. Let's move on. Um, all right, so we're in agreement there. Yeah. Okay, great.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. All right. How about this? Fireworks are a one time experience. You don't need to see them every trip.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I have a fireworks one on here as well, like Fireworks are not worth the crowd, the wait, or the exit chaos. Yeah. That's even a harder take than what you're saying. I think seeing them one time, sure. Go ahead and see them. Yeah. But if you're man, last time we we separated, right? Me and June were trying to go. We're like, all right, we're gonna get in one last hurrah with the cheeseburger spring rolls and go on Pirates of the Caribbean. And we did it during the time of the fireworks, and man, we got I know.
SPEAKER_02I never thought we were gonna be reunited. Just lost forever.
SPEAKER_01Gone forever. I was just like, oh no, we'll see you in 25, 30 minutes. It was longer than that. Yeah, it was like salmon swimming upstream. It's so hard. Everybody's standing around. I will say that the fireworks are they're worth it if you got kids in a stroller. Yeah. You know, they're worth it. I think they're more worth it if you're gonna watch them from a restaurant. If you've got like pro like a good viewing spot, sure, go ahead and take it. But the fireworks that really make a difference, and I will stop for are the holiday fireworks, the Christmas fireworks specifically. Christmas fireworks, if you're going to Mickey's very merry uh Christmas party, then it matters. But other than that, I don't know. I can't say the crowds are crazy for those.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean, I feel like the fireworks is the time where you go get on Tron one more time.
SPEAKER_01It is a perfect strategy. I will implore everyone. Like, I will tell everyone when the fireworks are going on. Get well, I don't even know if I want to tell people this because now they're gonna try to get on the rides when I'm there. Get on the rides when the fireworks are happening, and you'll find me in line for something with a less with a way less line. Go on Seven Doors Mind Train or something. There's a long line while those fireworks are going on. You'll thank me later. Yes, that is the strategy. All right. The way that Disney has everything set out these days, the Disney trips are 90% strategy than they are magic or fun these days.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's crazy. It's a little bit true.
SPEAKER_01You know, it's I think it's a very hot take, and they're always working towards making that better. But I mean, I spend a lot of tra time. Yeah, I'm on it like all the time. And and like, don't get me wrong, I love doing it. I love being able to plan a vacation for everybody, I love finding those new foods, those new you know strategies to cut time. That's who I am individually. But I'm thinking if you were a family that's just going, and I talk to people all the time about it. If you're a family that's going for your first time, and you're like, I'm like, oh, you got your lightning lanes?
SPEAKER_02No, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Have you booked any res you know, advanced dining reservations? No, I don't know what they're gonna do.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I know.
SPEAKER_01I feel like you have to help them, Mitch.
SPEAKER_02You're here to help these people.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think that's important. I think that everybody listening, um, use a vacation planner, you know, use some of these fantastical vacation planning, small world vacation. Call call me, get try to get a hold of me. I'll help you plan it out. Yeah, you know, I'm not currently doing that, maybe someday I will, but I think you do need uh an insider. You do need help. It's not a vacation where you're like on price line going, yeah, okay, this is the cheapest place. I'm gonna stay.
SPEAKER_02If it's your first time, like you need a like advanced, like uh a guru.
SPEAKER_01You need a help, you need a guide, you know, you need a planner to help you get through that first one for sure. Um, I've got another quick one while I'm still have the conch. Uh, Animal Kingdom is not a full day park, no matter how much someone wants to tell you it is a full day. Animal Kingdom in its current state is not a full day park.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I I agree with that. They definitely need to get some more rides in there. Um, I mean, we definitely I definitely want to go. I don't want to miss it, but that's why we're getting park hoppers.
SPEAKER_01And I think it's one of those parks now where they've got it designed to go early and get out of there. But they do have great food, which is tough. Like Yak and Yeti, amazing. You know, they've got amazing Pan Asian food in there. Those ahituna nachos over there are phenomenal. They've got these new Arepas that we have to try over the Smiling Crocodile. Satulli Canteen over in Pandora might be one of the best quick service restaurants on property. We'll check it out, but I gotta get out of that park by 11, 11:30 just because it's not it's not the one. Yeah, no matter what anybody says, Animal Kingdom, it's not a full day.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you're right, babe. We're agreeing a lot more than I thought we would.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you started this like we were gonna like be like you know in a parking lot, like with with boxes.
SPEAKER_02I was ready for like a debate team.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we don't have to debate. I mean, these are hot takes, and we are we're just kind of talking about these are like you know, they're issues and stuff that come up. Um I think here's it's not even a hot take. This is how I'm gonna end things with two with two warm and cuddly takes Disney is at its best when you stop trying to do Disney right, you know. I don't think there is one right way to do it. I think you do need to plan, have someone plan it with you, but there are gonna be the moments that come up like, oh man, like we walked into Skipper Canteen for the first time. Yeah, we didn't look at the POVs for all the rides and ruin stuff, you know. Yeah, there is magic to be had. I do think you need to plan, you do need to have lightning lanes and at least somebody get on these dining reservations. I think it's great. Like, look up all the food that you want, don't ruin the rides for yourself. You know, stop trying to do it perfect because your perfect vacation is gonna happen when you're with the people that you love, you know, and you're taking the time doing that, you know. And uh, you know, I'm just gonna say your best Disney memories, they're not about the rides or the foods, they're about like who you're with and the time that you're spending. And those are the most, you know, magical times that you have. Yeah, it's when you take a second and you look around and you go, Man, how do they do this? Yeah, look who I'm here with looking at this. This is crazy. It's snowing in Florida on Main Street. I'm eating a gingerbread Sunday, and I've got a uh a Mickey Polo shirt on that I just bought for$89. Life can't get much better. My blood sugar is$225.
SPEAKER_02And I'm with my beautiful wife.
SPEAKER_01Yes, no, it's always there. I'm always with I don't, you know, I can't wait to be with you, you know, next month there. And I'm just uh you know, just reflecting on all of it from the all these vacations that I've taken over the years. I'm I'm happy to have spent the time with the people that I love in Walt Disney World, and I can't wait to go back again. Too sentimental.
SPEAKER_02I know, and this I feel like that will give you uh it makes you want to go back again and again.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's not like you're chasing that feeling, it's just you've seen something that you can't explain, and that's why there's Disney adults, you know, just walking and watching something through your child's eyes for the first time, or you just feeling like you're 10 again, or just you know, walking around and not having that that care, but you're in a place I don't care how packed it is, that you're sitting down and you're watching Mickey's Philharmagic, or you're seeing something that you've seen a hundred times before, and it doesn't matter that it wasn't the best thrill ride in the world. Yeah, it is a place that is magical and has the best customer service I've ever seen out of any place in the world. That's for sure, you know, and and that's what it's all about. Well, this was really fun here today. I didn't think we debated that hard. We ended on a real sappy note. It was such a sap, but I love you a lot.
SPEAKER_02I love you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, thanks for uh doing this with me. And thanks to everybody at home listening. Hey, listen, please rate, follow, share this with your friends, and remember your next magical vacation to Walt Disney World is only a moment away. Here we go.
