SPEAKER_02

Alright, pop on some sunscreen, slap on your magic band, and get ready to walk down Sunset Boulevard. Because today we're going to Hollywood Studios. Here we go.

SPEAKER_03

Come on, everybody. Here we go.

SPEAKER_02

All right, welcome back to Here We Go, the Walt Disney World podcast, where we talk all things food, rides, resorts, transportation, and how about some news? Today we're going to get into some Walt Disney World news. Today, with me, as always, is my beautiful wife, Kim. Say hello.

SPEAKER_00

Hey, hey.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I said to say hello. That was a hey, hey.

SPEAKER_01

Um, I don't always have to listen to what you tell me to do.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, well, that's it. It's happening live here. We're having our first argument. All right. So we're recording today in the pod basement on a Thursday. Long week. How has it been? It's almost over, babe.

SPEAKER_01

It's been long, but it is Friday Eve. Friday Eve.

SPEAKER_02

Friday Eve. Let's go. Let's go.

SPEAKER_01

One more day. We got this.

SPEAKER_02

We got this. The weather's been nice out. Uh, you know, we are looking forward to our next, you know, we got like not even two and a half months. We'll be back that's crazy in Disney. I love it. I love it. I'm so excited. We're so excited. Uh, a bunch of news just dropped, and one of the biggest things that happened this week is that we got some carousel of progress news, babe. I I know you told me. I was shocked. It's so super crazy that this is happening. We um Carousel of Progress is getting a massive overhaul. This is makeover time, but the current version closes July 6, 2026. So a month away from now, this ride is gonna close and become something drastically different. Like, you know, same concept as what I'm reading here, but we saw the last iteration of the turn of the century and his lumbago acting up and everything else. Like, I've been watching the show since I was a little kid. It's gonna be different, you know? And I I'm always skeptical, but I'm always aware that Walt Disney himself said this park will be forever changing, and it is kind of like the you gotta kind of go with the times, carousel of progress, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And I mean, it would be cool if they could keep the original and then just make a totally new one. Uh yeah, I mean, that's also I mean, where are you gonna put it?

SPEAKER_02

So we've got uh an uh Walt Disney becoming an animatronic, an audio animatronic to introduce the show that's getting added, and a completely different storyline. So the new errors are gonna include uh it's gonna start in the 1960s with the moon landing, then it's going to Halloween and the 1980s, a New Year's Eve party in 1999, about to be 2000, which we 2K. We remember all of the yeah, like we live through over that. Yeah, the the hullabaloo. What are we now? We're talking like we're in the 1930s, we gotta get the times here. So 80s and uh 1999, we lived through this, and then they're going to go with a possible future off planet. So I'm excited. What are your thoughts on this? Are you excited? I I'm excited about what they've decided to be. Halloween in the 80s, like that was my favorite time of all time.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. I think those like you know, decades are gonna be really cool, and the the events that they chose definitely definitely will be fun to see.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm I'm excited. I I just change is tough.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I feel like you're not great with change.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, change is hard. Um, the other thing is like uh the news that's been popping around is Cool Kids Summer is in Walt Disney World, so there's a bunch of different snacks that are all around. Um, I've seen some cookie butter cheesecake, I've seen a s'mores chocolate marshmallow tart, I've seen uh Bluey themed snacks are coming up. Um there's like a uh like a fruit slushy, and there's all that new food over at uh right next to the Muppets. There's that it's food. Food at the Swedish Chef's food. They've got a a berry churro, and there's a couple of different drinks. There's a a Waka walking nachos. Ooh, I like nachos. Yeah, they look pretty good. Uh there are some mac and cheese, deep fried mac and cheese bites with marinara sauce over uh uh at uh like Goofy's Eats over in Epcot. So there's a lot of different things happening for cool kids' summer. We will try some of this stuff, and when we get back, we will definitely let you guys know what we liked. We'll try some of these new snacks, mac and cheese bites. I'm into like definitely gonna do it. These these new uh filled croissants are all over the place, too. There's a cookie butter one, there's a s'mores one, there's yeah, keep talking about it.

SPEAKER_01

You know I can't hand that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but this is for the people, Kim. We gotta get rid of the people.

SPEAKER_01

Uh but it's also gonna be weird when we go, there's not gonna be an Epcot festival. I know.

SPEAKER_02

So they're talking now about uh the Food and Wine Fest because that's that's returning. Uh there's new food booths and menus are gonna start to be announced pretty soon. You know, I think that happens like right after we leave. Yeah. I know sometimes they change the timeline on these things, so uh, we could be surprised. Who knows? Yeah, so I'm I don't know, fingers crossed. I'm really hoping we'll be there um mid-August. So 17th through the 23rd, we'll we'll be there.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we're only gonna do like a half day napcot, probably, so it's all right.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, we might be there a couple times, though, since we're on the skyliner, we got a couple of parkoppers, so yeah, you never know. All right, so let's get into the basis of today's episode. We are going to do a would you rather at Hollywood Studios? We've done it over at Magic Kingdom today, and we're gonna go with what we would consider our second favorite park, Hollywood Studios. I mean, Ebcot and Hollywood Studios are very close for me. I love the food at Ebcot. Uh, we just with the lands with Star Wars and Toy Storyland and especially Sunset Boulevard and that gorgeous terror or Hollywood Tower of Terror. It's the Hollywood Tower of Terror button. If you want to mess it up, it's okay.

SPEAKER_01

No one is gonna you just pointed it out, so yeah.

SPEAKER_02

All right, so where where should we start? Let's let's start with rides. Now we know Tower of Terror is always gonna win, okay? But let's talk about this right now. Would you rather uh go ahead and ride ride rise of the resistance anytime throughout the day, no line whatsoever? Okay, or have to be on the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror for three hours, like but riding it like back to back? Back to back.

SPEAKER_01

I would do that.

SPEAKER_02

I mean it's always tower of terror, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Especially if I don't have to like get off, go around, go back in. Like, just let me just keep riding it. I don't need the library with the oh, let me rephrase it.

SPEAKER_02

How about this? Okay, changing it. Let's change it. What if you okay? So you can ride Rise of the Resistance whenever you want, walk on Rise of the Resistance, or you get to ride the Hollywood Tower of Terror, you walk on, but randomly through through throughout the day, you're gonna have it'll it'll shut down and you're gonna have to walk down steps, like like completely ruined imagination throughout the thing. You're gonna have to do a walk-off on it. So you can it'll walk on.

SPEAKER_01

But like how many times is it gonna break down?

SPEAKER_02

Do you think it'll break it's guaranteed to break down twice a day while you're on it. Okay, but there's no way.

SPEAKER_01

I know. I probably would still do that. It's still gonna be as well as long as they don't have to like extract me like out the place where climb down the building because yeah, no, you have to scale the building.

SPEAKER_02

I'm sure there's just I'm sure there's just like another elevator or something. I've never seen, I don't want to see what's behind the scenes in that ride. Uh, I I don't want to know how the sausage is made on that. I've seen some other rides and I don't love it. Why don't you throw one at me if you have one?

SPEAKER_01

Okay, would you rather pilot the Millennium Falcon perfectly every time or always be the top scorer on Toy Story Mania?

SPEAKER_02

Ooh, this is a really good one. I'm gonna say just ego-wise, top score on Toy Story Mania. I'm always looking around, like, yeah, okay, I did it. And then there'll be like the next card will roll up, and someone will have me by like a hundred thousand points. Like, who's this man?

SPEAKER_01

I know. Or lady, like, meet me outside. Meet me outside. Who is this?

SPEAKER_02

Why are they this good at this? I don't understand. Um, what about you? What would you? I mean, it's it's Toy Story Mania for me all day.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, me too. Because I mean, I can go on the Millennium Falcum like you know, once per trip. I don't really need to go on it more than once. Yeah, I usually get stuck in the back doing the controls because the kids and you get to be in the front. I'm a pilot. You're in the back, getting a little seasick.

SPEAKER_02

You got an engineer's brain.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, thanks, babe.

SPEAKER_02

It's good. I I'm a I'm a pilot, I'm a pilot. All right.

SPEAKER_01

All right, next one.

SPEAKER_02

All right, how about this? Um, would you, if you had to spend your time in a land all day, would you rather, and we'll do it in a couple different iterations of this, would you rather s have to spend your entire day in Galaxy's Edge or Toy Story Land?

SPEAKER_01

Um Galaxy's Edge, because Toy Story is just like ow in the elements, you're in the sun. I mean, what else? I mean, what is there? So there's Toy Story Edge. Well, I mean, I'll eat a Ronto wrap with a gluten-free thing to get that good coffee minus the cocoa puffs.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And then that isn't that Docking Base 7.

SPEAKER_02

Docking Base 7's over there, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

We haven't bunded, but that looks really good. So yeah, I mean, I could I if I had to choose, I would choose that. How about you?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I mean, I love Slinky Dog and like the stuff that's over there, and like the food, I think, is a better situation in Toy Story Land with Woody's uh lunchbox and the rodeo roundup. And I love Slinky Dog, and Toy Story Mania's okay, it's not my favorite thing, but I'd much rather hang out in Galaxy's Edge all day. It's just there's little nooks and crannies and weirder food, I guess, to get into. If I got bored, I guess I could build a lightsaber or something like that. There's uh yeah, I think it's probably like a cooler land, and I like Star Wars Rise of the Resistance. I can rather refute it. It's a spectacle, you know? Yeah, it's cool. Okay, how about this? Would you rather get unlimited free food all day in Hollywood studios, whatever you want to eat, or unlimited lightning lanes?

SPEAKER_01

Is it about lightning lanes?

SPEAKER_02

We've established many times like we're about them rides.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm just all about being able to go on as many times on the Twilight Zone, and now the Muppets coasters, Slinky Dog, yeah, definitely.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, great rides. Uh Mickey and Minnie's run away really underrated, man.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I like that.

SPEAKER_02

I like it. Give Mickey some love. You don't want to give Mickey love on this.

SPEAKER_01

I always forget I honestly I always forget about that one being there, and it's great. I know what's wrong with me.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know, but you better give Mickey. Sorry, I'll do both. Sorry, Mickey.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, Kim.

SPEAKER_03

I love you. I love you too.

SPEAKER_02

I don't have to edit that out. That's weird. All right. Um, this is this is a cool one. Uh, would you rather uh only eat Ronto wraps for a day or tachos for a day?

SPEAKER_00

Tachos. Tachos? An easy idea.

SPEAKER_02

I would say probably tachos as well. It could get sickening after a while, but I don't know. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

All right. Would you rather get stuck on the Tower of Terror right before the drop or on rock and roller coaster right before the launch?

SPEAKER_02

Like you're just stuck?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, like you're just sitting there like in anticipation and you don't know when it's gonna go.

SPEAKER_02

And you're just like I would much rather, I think the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror might be a more fun for that. Because like I'm loose in that box a little bit. You know, I'm not like I don't have anything harnessed over me. Yeah, and the anticipation of that might be a lot of fun. Like, oh my god, when is this gonna drop?

SPEAKER_01

I know. So, like basically if you say right before the drop, because it like launches you first, right?

SPEAKER_02

So you well takes it takes you up, it pulls you down usually for I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

I know, so I'm just thinking it launches you up, and then you're just like stuck there, like waiting, like, okay, when am I gonna drop?

SPEAKER_02

I mean that's not you know, I would definitely go Twilight Zone Tower Terror, though. You yeah, okay, cool.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you know me.

SPEAKER_02

All right, how about this? Hypothetically, let's say the Twilight Zone Tower Terror is gonna close. Would you rather be the last person ever to ride the Tower of Terror or be the first person to ride this new Monsters Inc. roller coaster?

SPEAKER_01

First person on it, last person on it. I guess probably the first person on the Monsters Inc. Yeah, first person on Monsters Inc.

SPEAKER_02

I'm definitely going last person on Twilight Zone Tower Terror. I love the ride so much. I'll cry on that thing. They'll have to pry my corpse off of it over my dead body when they get rid of this thing. But yeah, I'd probably have to say last person ever to raid uh ride Tower Terror. I'm pretty patient with riding new rides because they come out with stuff. I'm fairly patient. Like, all right, like it took me forever. Like Tiana's, like during COVID and everything else, like took a long time.

SPEAKER_01

All right, I got one.

SPEAKER_02

Go ahead.

SPEAKER_01

Would you rather be uh changed to a toy in Toy Storyland or transported into a Star Wars movie?

SPEAKER_02

I mean, I'd I'd much rather be in a Star Wars movie, yeah. You know, like I don't want to be a toy, someone's gonna use and abuse me. Like Sidney.

SPEAKER_00

Seven little kids just gonna be like whack, whack.

SPEAKER_02

That's what happens. Have you seen those movies? It's always like, oh no! Come on, here comes Sid.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, you got one?

SPEAKER_02

Uh yeah, how about this one right here? Um would you rather do okay, front row on the Hollywood Tower Terror or the front row on the new Muppets Coaster?

SPEAKER_01

Um I don't know. I think I really do like the front row on Hollywood because you're just like in it when it like goes into like you know, it goes moves forward into the stuff. You're just like immersed in it, I feel like, more than being in the back row.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

So, and I don't really know. I mean the front the front of a roller coaster, any roller coaster is cool. I'm gonna have to say Muppets. I'm just gonna interrupt you. I'm gonna go to Muppets.

SPEAKER_02

But it's like dark in there, anyways, right? Yeah, but it's still fun to be in the front row of that thing. Like when it launches, it's it's yeah, it's a fun launch coaster. Okay, we'll agree to disagree on that one. All right, well, we're doing a lot of disagreement. There's going to be a fight later later on. Um, all right, so only eat snacks at Hollywood Studios all day, or only eat table service restaurants. The table service restaurants there are going to be Hollywood Brown Derby. There's Hollywood and Vine, there is uh 50s Primetime Cafe, there's a sci-fi drive-in and diner, Hollywood Brown Derby.

SPEAKER_01

I'd probably say you so just snacks, not quick service?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, just snacks. So, like you know, the pretzels and the things like that there, and you know.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like there's not probably a ton of snacks I can even eat. So I guess I'll do table service, but I feel like I'm gonna waste a lot of my day. You're gonna waste your day there.

SPEAKER_02

That'll be probably there's some good snacks in there. Think about it. Like even at Fairfax Fair, I mean, does that that doesn't really take?

SPEAKER_01

I mean, would you count tachos as a snack?

SPEAKER_02

You're just eating tachos every day. You're just eating tachos non-stop. I feel like we're gonna have to call a doctor.

SPEAKER_01

I can do it. I've trained my body to do to eat tachos, to be a nurse and just eat whatever. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So yeah, I think I would probably go snacks.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, because I don't want to waste time like sitting, sitting and eating at like table service all day, you know?

SPEAKER_02

I got another I got another two for you fast, ready? Some character ones fast for you. Would you rather have a meet and greet with Chewbacca, Darth Vader, or Olaf? You can have a half hour with each one of these characters. Which one? Or let here, let me spread out a little bit. How about we'll get rid of Darth Vader? Because he's just like a bad guy, right? Cool, cool guy, but you know what I mean. How about we go Woody, Olaf, Chewbacca?

SPEAKER_01

I'd probably say Olaf.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, because he's just cute, he's funny, he's fun. We could like sing some songs together.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm gonna have to probably say Olaf too. It just seems like you'd be kind of cool to hang out with. Maybe it could get annoying. Chewbacca's nice. I've I've seen him there before, but I don't know what he's saying. I can't know if I can handle it halfway.

SPEAKER_01

Remember the time you you got to meet uh the Mandalorian and uh Grogu?

SPEAKER_02

Oh man, that was awesome. I was like starstruck. Yeah, they came right up to me. I was like, oh man, I was like, oh that was very cool. Yeah, I loved that. All right, so let's keep that going. How about this then? A private uh meet and greet with Mickey, or let's go with Mickey or Mickey or Elsa?

SPEAKER_01

Mickey.

SPEAKER_02

Mickey? Yeah, okay. I would say Mickey too.

SPEAKER_01

See, Mickey, I do like you.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, see?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he's sorry I forget about your your uh Mickey or Olaf.

SPEAKER_02

Would you rather meet Mickey or Olaf? Oh Olaf. Are you serious? See, that's even tougher, man. I think you're gonna get your Disney privileges taken away.

SPEAKER_01

I just feel like Olaf would just like be more like fun to hang out with for half an hour.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, Mickey's a lot of fun. He started the whole nine yards, he knew Walt Disney, okay? Olaf could get annoying talking about summer, like bro, you're gonna melt. Uh all right, go ahead.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, I got one for you. All right, let's go. Would you rather at Hollywood Studios they add a car's land or a villain's land?

SPEAKER_02

Villains, yeah. And villains is much more fun. They got that villain show there now. It kind of makes sense. They are supposed to be building that villain's, like you know, fifth gate, that new park. Yeah, or no, it's not even a new park, it's supposed to be the well, is it supposed to be a part of the magic kingdom? I gotta look that back up. It's like a whole new lane.

SPEAKER_01

If any of you uh listeners know, tell us in the comments.

SPEAKER_02

Well, it is, it's a part of the magic kingdom, is what it's supposed to be.

SPEAKER_01

But it's like gonna be just one entry and going both parks. I feel like that's so much to do in one day.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I know. I gotta look that up. I'm not 100% sure, which I feel like it's beyond the like it's supposed to be a part of the magic kingdom. They got cars going in there, and then like no way, it's gonna be a full fifth gate. Yeah, it's I'm wrong. I'm wrong. Hold on, look, I'll pause and look it up. Okay, crazy, it's just a part of the magic kingdom. That's what I thought, which is not they're just trying to make the magic kingdom enormous.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's gonna be wild because you're gonna need like two days at least. I mean, even now we we go to Magic Kingdom like sometimes two days and a trip.

SPEAKER_02

By far the best part. People like always are talking trash about the food, and I don't mind the food there at all. I think it's delicious. There's so many different good great things to eat. Yeah, but this is not a podcast that where we're talking about Magic Kingdom.

SPEAKER_01

I know. So let's get it. Let's get back to it.

SPEAKER_02

Are you ready?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, I'm ready.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, all right.

SPEAKER_01

Would you rather be able to cut every line by 50% or get every snack and meal free?

SPEAKER_02

Man, I don't eat that much in a day. As big of a guy I am, like I'd rather just what do you think? Cut everybody in line?

SPEAKER_01

Like no, like you like if the wait's gonna be 40 minutes, you only have to wait 20 minutes. So in half, yeah. Yeah, by 50%. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

So 50% is half, also known as half half. Okay, great. Uh, I'll take the ride one. Okay. Always, always. Uh all right, how about this? Sunset Boulevard or Galaxy's Edge. Um, Sunset Boulevard. Me too, which is like wild. How about Sunset Boulevard or Toy Storyline?

SPEAKER_01

I mean, so wait, is but Sunset Boulevard includes like the shops and stuff? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Twilight Zone and the Muppets.

SPEAKER_02

I mean it's great down through there. That's like my favorite like walk. And if you walk that at night at Christmas time, it's amazing. Yeah, I absolutely love it. Yeah, so definitely I'd always pick Sunset. Uh, just as IP alone, Muppets or Star Wars?

SPEAKER_01

Honestly, I've like, you know what I mean you know, I'm not really super into either of them, but but don't say that to the people that'll listen to the podcast. It's all about honesty here.

SPEAKER_02

So, what is your favorite IP in Hollywood studios then? I mean, think about it. This is what we have, and we've kind of gone off the rails here of Would You Weathers, but we've got Indiana Jones, we've got the Muppets, we have Cars, we have Twilight Zone, we have Mickey and Minnie, we've got Frozen Toy Story, Ariel's there. Barrel is there. Yeah. Ariel's got a whole sing-along there. Oh, a sing along. Yeah, so does Frozen. Frozen's got a single.

SPEAKER_01

I would probably say Indiana Jones then. That's your favorite IP. Indiana Jones.

SPEAKER_02

Your favorite IP there. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I didn't love the show, it was like, okay. It wasn't the best. But I mean, I love Indiana Jones. Like, that was like taking me back to my childhood. And my stepdad's last name was Jones, and he always used to say that he was related to Indiana, and his name was Ira, so I believed it. It sounds I mean I was young.

SPEAKER_02

Oh man. All right, how about this one? Would you rather have unlimited park hopping for the next year? Unlimited park hopping tickets. Or one VIP tour through Hollywood Studios.

SPEAKER_01

So like the VIP tour is like someone takes you around. I don't know. Because I mean, if we were gonna, I don't know how many times we'd actually go back this year. We're going once.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, you I'm just saying, would you rather have unlimited park hoppers, Danny Park, or get one VIP tour through probably unlimited park hoppers?

SPEAKER_01

How about you?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, unlimited parkers. I think the VIP is pretty cool, but I don't know. I'm not sure that's like a hundred percent for me, you know?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I feel like they'd slow us down.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I feel like I'm like, okay, yeah. Hey, you want to you want to hear a fun fact? Here, let me give you a fun fact. Although I didn't even know about the Magic Kingdom and the villains land, but um, I'll get better, I promise.

SPEAKER_03

It's okay.

SPEAKER_02

All right, uh, all right. Would you rather have Toy Storyland doubled in doubled in size or Galaxy's Edge doubled in size?

SPEAKER_01

Um probably Toy Storyland.

SPEAKER_02

Toy Storyland, huh?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

I wonder what it would be. Yeah, I mean, I feel like there's just so much more you could get out of Star Wars.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

There's so much more to like milk out of Star Wars, but I mean, there are five Toy Story movies now, you know? Yeah. Like what kind of things could they add to Toy Storyland? They could definitely add some more rides, like a Buzz Lightyear ride. Yeah, I definitely want more rides. Well, you know you want the rides. Don't look at me with your crazy eyes.

SPEAKER_01

Like well, what would you say?

SPEAKER_02

Um, I just think that there's so much more to there's just so much more to Star Wars than there is to Toy Story. I think Toy Storyland is very cool. When you go through there, man, it looks like a backyard. It's awesome.

SPEAKER_03

That's cool.

SPEAKER_02

I just don't know how they would like progress with more rides where I could see them doing a Mandalorian roller coaster and like, you know, uh, let's go to Chewbacca's planet, Dark Ride. There's like so many great ideas they can have for Star Wars, and even just being able to have more weird restaurants and stuff over there would be kind of cool.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Well, I have one. Go ahead. Uh, would you rather spend a day as a cast member working Tower of Terror or working Rise of Resistance?

SPEAKER_02

I mean Tower of Terror all day. I I think that the Rise of the Resistance people are their fun, they get to get into it. Seems like a harder job.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we'll do you gotta like do like an impression, you know what I mean? Like if you're like letting people on the Tower of Terror, like how would you sound? Oh, you want it, you want me to do something.

SPEAKER_02

I'd be like, I'll enjoy your stay. It'd be a very dry, like, welcome to the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Enjoy your stay. Watch your step, don't have a big fall. Make sure your seatbelt's buckled and have a great day.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I mean, some of them are like so good at it, and other ones like don't get into character, and you're like, um, hello. Like, I'd be like, You should have taken the stairs.

SPEAKER_03

You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_02

Like, I don't know. I could do an okay, Rod Sterling. What? The guy twilight zone. I don't know what I mean. You're about to go into the board. I don't know, I can't mess with it up. Um, there's uh so many more things to talk about in Hollywood studios. Uh how about this? Let's just go like rapid fire. All right. Um sci-fi or so sci-fi drive in or Woody's Lunchbox?

SPEAKER_01

Oh. Woody's lunchbox. Uh lunch lunch lunch.

SPEAKER_02

Looty's lunchbox. All right, which what are you more excited to be um to to ride on this next vacation? The Muppets, uh, the Muppets Roller Coaster, the Muppets Mayhem, or Soaring Around America? Muppets. Me too. Yeah. And I I love Soaring, but I'm just like more excited. How about are you more excited to ride this Muppets? The iteration. I mean, it's the same ride basically, Muppets or Monsters Inc.

SPEAKER_01

Um, Muppets, I'm gonna say.

SPEAKER_02

I'm gonna say Monsters Inc. I'm a huge Monsters Inc. fan. I can't wait for Monstropolis. Monstropolis is supposed to come out in 2027, so it's coming up.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, all right, we're going back. Would you rather spend $500 on merchandise or get to spend $500 on food and drinks?

SPEAKER_02

In Hollywood Studios? Yeah. Merchandise. They got the cool to me. They have they always have like the coolest merchandise in that park. I I mean they don't have like the biggest stores, but the things that they do have, they're all things that I really want. And you'd probably just buy like a bunch of pin packs. There'd be 35 pin packs by the day. Yeah. But there are like so many cool things there that I've seen at Hollywood or yeah, at Hollywood Studios. I love I love this park. Uh let me let me ask you this uh blue milk or green milk? Blue. Yeah, me too. I don't even know what the green milk is. It's like a little bit different. All right, that's gonna wrap up the Would You Rathers in Hollywood Studios for this episode. Uh, we've got like a new thing here where we've um put up a couple of polls and we've asked people to send in you know questions to us. We do have a few questions, so some listener questions we're gonna get into today. Uh just to wrap it up here for this episode. Okay, are you ready, Kim? I'm ready. We have not seen these yet, so this might be hard. All right, this one comes from Jacqueline in Virginia. She writes, if you had to eliminate one ride from every park, what are you cutting? Uh one ride from every park.

SPEAKER_01

It's a small world out of here.

SPEAKER_02

Gone, huh? June would have been like the carousel's gone out of Magic Kingdom. Uh, I would say I would keep it's a small world in Magic Kingdom. I would get some rid of something like stupid, like like Astro Orbiters, you know, like one of those rides are like I could keep the I would I would keep Dumbo and the flying carpets, but I don't want to have to take that elevator up to the top to the to ride the same exact ride. So Astro Orbiters, you're gone.

SPEAKER_01

Um I guess at Epcot, I get rid of that one that like makes everybody sick. I haven't even been on it. Oh, mission space, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. Mission Space has got to go. Mission Space Orange is a Vomitron. That's gotta go. And I'll tell you who's who's got a close second in my mind, they better do something with this ride soon. Is Figment is gotta get an update. Yeah. Journey to the imagination with Figment's gotta get an update, man. I agree. I'd rather go to Turtle Time with Crush five times than have to go into with just like me and a bunch of little kids in Turtle Time with Crush laughing it up than have to sit through Figgy. Uh, all right, Hollywood Studios. Um that's gonna be tough.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. Probably that the one in Toy Storyland, like the spinning oh, alien swirling saucers.

SPEAKER_02

I don't mind that thing. It's like a scrambler. I'm gonna get rid of Star Tours, which is like an even more make you sick version of the Millennium Falcon. Oh, I don't think I've been on that. Oh I don't want to, apparently. It's not for you. Like, I don't ever take you over there because it's just tough.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, I appreciate that.

SPEAKER_02

Animal Kingdom, there's no rides in this program.

SPEAKER_01

I I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

I'd probably get rid of, and you should follow my lead on this one. Cali River Rabbit.

SPEAKER_01

I was thinking that because like who wants to get their shoes? I mean, there's people that want to go on it.

SPEAKER_02

I know we gotta put our shoes in a lot of stuff if you're waterproofed.

SPEAKER_01

I was gonna be walking around with soggy pants all day. Soggy pants.

SPEAKER_02

Isn't that your soggy pants? Is that your nickname? The soggy bottom boys. Yeah, we're not going in the on that on this trip unless I have a change of socks and pants. Um that's it, right? That's all the that's all the parks. We did it. We got rid of one. Are you saying Cali River Rapids? Is what we said? Is that what we're going with?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, because I mean, what else? I mean, you're not gonna get rid of Flight of Passage, not getting rid of Expedition Everest.

SPEAKER_02

No, I think you're right. It's Cali River Rapids has probably got to go.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Not the Safari. Yeah, you think some people actually like want to go on that? All right. Uh, here's another question here. Uh, this is from Brian in New York. What ride would you never wait more than 30 minutes for?

SPEAKER_01

It's a small world.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, 30 minutes versus a small world is crazy. Um, you know what's like like a funny one for me? And like let's just say, let's just make this like a like your favorite rides you never w wait 30 minutes for. You know, what are your favorite rides you wouldn't wait more than 30 minutes for?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know, but I mean I feel like a lot of lines are gonna be longer than 30 minutes, but I guess the people mover.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, never, yeah, it's a good one. That's a really good one. I was gonna say Pirates of the Caribbean, yeah. Or like Pirates of the Caribbean or Haunted Mansion, those are like two.

SPEAKER_01

Jungles safari, jungle cruise.

SPEAKER_02

Sometimes you're gonna have to wait more for jungle cruise, which is like Yeah, we'll use a fast pass on it.

SPEAKER_01

Lightning lane.

SPEAKER_02

There we go. All right, we got this one from Carolyn in Florida. What's one Disney planning mistake everyone makes on their first trip? I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like this is all you, babe. Yeah, all right.

SPEAKER_02

So I got this one. I think that the one mistake that everyone makes planning on their first trip is actually not planning enough. Okay. All right, so I think that they kind of underestimate, like, okay, utilizing uh like you know a Disney vacation planner or you know, getting enough advanced dining reservations, like getting the ADRs, making sure you're lightning lanes, like doing the research. I think people just go in and think, okay, I'm going to Disney, I'm fine. I can get restaurant reservations, whatever. I think that you really should be working with a Disney planner, yeah, and you're gonna get the most out of it. And really, they're gonna tell you, like, hey, this is where you should be going, to which parks on which days. There's there's tons of research that needs to go down, unfortunately.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. I mean, this guy right here, he plans a heck of a trip. Like, he's up at late at night, early in the morning, running schematics, like getting our like dining reservations, you know, getting our uh lightning lanes, like he's really getting us the best deals for like a place to stay. Like, we got an awesome deal for when we go in August, and yeah, I definitely would recommend him to all my family and friends.

SPEAKER_02

And well, I appreciate it, and I mean you don't have to push me on this. No, I'm just saying, like, I know I think I've done it since the first time I've ever went. You know, it's really about let's plan the crap out of this trip, yeah, and let's make sure that we got enough things to do. What do we do? When's the resort day? That's the other thing I think you need to think about on your first trip. You know, don't try to put yourself in a park five days in a row. And and really uh honestly consult with a Disney vacation planner, it's usually free to use, and uh they can kind of let you know, you know. If you're if you got teenagers, there's a certain itinerary you should follow. If you have little kids, there's a certain itinerary. Um, we've got one more here. Okay, uh, this one here is from Jessica in Mississippi. What is the best Disney purchase under $10? Um anything. Anything. Oh man. Under $10.

SPEAKER_01

Um I was gonna, I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

All right. Well, I'm gonna give you mine right off the bat because we've got to close this out here pretty soon. Mine is very simple and easy. It is cheeseburger spring rolls. They're $9.59. They are guaranteed to blow your socks up. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I will say the Ube Coldbrew. It's the Thule canteen. Ube Cold Brew. That's a great drink.

SPEAKER_02

I was just thinking about that the other day. That's a great drink. Can't wait to have it. Hey, listen, it's been so much fun here with you today, Han.
