Alright, grab your magic band, charge your phone, fill up that refillable resort mug, and make sure you've got that last-minute lightning lane booked. Because it's time to take another trip to Walt Disney World. Here we go. All right, welcome back to Here We Go, the Walt Disney World Podcast, where we talk all things, Walt Disney World, rides, food, shows, news. We got some news today.
SPEAKER_01We know things.
SPEAKER_00We we follow some stuff. Uh I'm Mitch. With me as always is my beautiful wife, Kim. Say hello.
SPEAKER_01Hey guys, it's me. I'm back. Or are you gonna yell at me for not saying no, no, I like it.
SPEAKER_00I like it. It seemed like a threat. Hey guys, I'm back. Like a Disney villain. All right.
SPEAKER_01It's Brittany.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you can't say the B word on this show, so it's Britney, witch. All right, so we got a really fun show here planned for you today. Uh, the first thing we wanted to do is uh give you some quick news. We've got some awesome things uh that have been revealed by Walt Disney World, including this year's Eat to the Beat concert series for Epcot Food and Wine. Unfortunately, we didn't book during Food and Wine this year. We had last year we got to see Newfound Glory, and it was a lot of fun. So we'll go up the go over that lineup. Uh, there's a brand new Muppets popcorn bucket, there's some uh Disney Springs news and a breakfast sandwich that everyone's talking about. So, where do you want to start?
SPEAKER_01Let's talk about the eat eat to the beat.
SPEAKER_00Eat to the beat.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, when I saw this list come out. Oh man, do you want to guess what I was really sad to be missing? What band?
SPEAKER_00Yellow card.
SPEAKER_01I got it, right?
SPEAKER_02Not Hanson.
SPEAKER_00Well, like that, Hanson stood out right off the bat. So I'll just go over the list really quick, and like some of these people I'm I don't know. Um, but uh there's Evolution Motown, which seems like a Motown experience. Uh Hansen on August 28th through the 31st. Uh, you've got Evolution Motown coming back. You've got War Intrigue, that's new. You've got Yellow Card Fly Guys, Couch Fits in the Tantrums. I don't know what that is, but I'm gonna look it up just because it's sort of fits in the Tantrums. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's I think they have some popular stuff. It's uh oh yeah, okay. Right? Yeah, yeah. It's piquing my interest, I'll tell you that. Latin Ambition, wasn't that your nickname in high school? Mercy Me, Groupomania, Metro Latino Band Element, Newfound Glory, Smash Mouth for two nights on the September 30th and October 1st. You've got Champagne Orchestra, uh, Ray Ruiz, Tiffany.
SPEAKER_01I think we're alone now. Doesn't seem to be anyone around.
SPEAKER_00Children be all right. We're not gonna do the whole thing, but um, what's cool is uh we've got the Frey who I really like. Uh this is this is you didn't see this, and you said you were this is what hurt my feelings is that Starship is going to be there featuring Mickey Thomas. Starship that was our it's our song.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. I guess I I don't think I said scrolled down that far in the list yet.
SPEAKER_00So our wedding song and our song is uh go ahead and sing it for us, son.
SPEAKER_01Um start you're putting it on the spot.
SPEAKER_00I don't think that I can put it into the podcast. Well, maybe we could we could sing it like nothing's gonna stop us now. Nothing's gonna stop. We can build this dream together. It's it's we can make it if we're hot too hot. Yes, let them say we're crazy. What do they know? All right, whatever. Sorry guys, we're not out of our minds today. Uh bowling for soup, southbound, boys to mend, uh boys to mend's there, and then uh Grace Potter, the Beach Boys and the Hooligans. Yeah, the Beach Boys is yeah, they're great. And you know who's who jams out with them, who plays the drums and sings with them? Uncle Jesse.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00Might as well just be Jesse and the Rippers. He's gonna be there. Yeah, he he tours with them.
SPEAKER_01Wow, that's cool.
SPEAKER_00So I'm saying right there, that's that's huge.
SPEAKER_01Coco Mo, my favorite song when I was about nine or something.
SPEAKER_00Well, I was gonna say when I was about 38. We're not gonna sing anymore, otherwise, we're gonna get booted off. All right. Uh some big news coming. I'm waiting to still hear uh big news from Disney Springs. I'm waiting for that place uh to say when it was gonna be open next month. Is that um what is it? Seven no no seven seven ravens is the first thing that I was thinking about. The uh the place from Gideon's, they're gonna do those coffins, those hand pies. I'm waiting for them to give a release because I definitely want to check that out when we go to Disney Springs coming up in August. But level 99 does have a date, it is June 29th. Uh, level 99 is gonna open up uh in Disney Springs. You can grab tickets starting June 22nd because this is uh like an interactive family restaurant and basically like an experience. So they have 63 life-size mini games and challenges, they have an iconic axe run. Uh, you can uh crack different puzzles, outsmart your friends with different challenges. This is level 99.
SPEAKER_01Sounds like your kind of thing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's cool. There's like uh physical challenges and trivia, and it's a 400 or 45,000 square feet in two-story space.
SPEAKER_01Wow.
SPEAKER_00Uh they have uh Detroit style pizzas coming here, which look really, really good. I haven't seen if they're gonna be gluten-free or not, but I other locations do have them with uh gluten-free Detroit style pizza. But they have like award-winning Detroit-style pizza, it looks really, really good. So this is coming. It looks it looks like a lot of fun. I would almost do this while we're there with the kids. If it's our last night and we're there and you want to do it during the day, if we can if it's not, I don't know how much it's gonna be, but it's cool that our they can have physical challenges for um the dum-dums in our in our family, and then you know, for like the brainiacs, there are gonna be more brain-focused challenges, yeah, like escape room level stuff, which is fun. We like that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that sounds cool.
SPEAKER_00And we're a competitive family, so yeah, let's go. We're not happy until we made someone cry. Uh, I'm really looking forward to this next piece of news here. Uh, there's a new Muppets popcorn bucket in Walt Disney World, and it is Sam the Eagle for Fourth of July. I'm sure this won't be there when we're the when that we're there, but it's great. It's like Sam the Eagle with a huge uh uh red, white, and blue hat on and like a little bear. Yeah, he's on a podium.
SPEAKER_01It looks it doesn't look like it holds much popcorn, but I think they give you the popcorn like on the side. I think I saw something.
SPEAKER_00Oh, really? Well, the back opens up. I can like see it here.
SPEAKER_01I think it says that they it's you in a bag or something.
SPEAKER_00Oh, you can have popcorn in a bag with it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00None of these things hold that much popcorn. I will say the Pluto was pretty good. Stitch was good. Pluto that we have here, he held he held a lot of popcorn. There was a Christmas one, the musical box one. We we're looking at it right now. Um that one over there held a ton of popcorn. It was just a giant canister canister that played music from with a winter theme. Uh, it was a Christmas one years ago. I've been collecting these things, you know. I love popcorn buckets, it's one of those things where we usually get one. Yeah but my god, trying to carry that thing around, you're gonna like kind of cumbersome.
SPEAKER_01You gotta convince a kid. Do we get one? It does come with like a shoulder strap, so you can like toss it like over your shoulder, wear like a purse. I can convince a kid. We had the stitch one last year when we went with the kids. Well, they wanted it and then this when me and you just went, we just got the regular popcorn bucket that you could like latch on here. I like that fanny packs. I like that. It's still like Nicky.
SPEAKER_00Uh you know, where is that thing? It's down here somewhere. That's what I've got.
SPEAKER_01With the snack on your snack table.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well, that had uh maple popcorn when we got it back, and I just kind of kept it as a decoration. So good. Uh that's weird. People are gonna think we're weird now. Uh all right. The other thing I wanted to talk about in Disney Springs, and I moved on to go to this popcorn bucket was this blueberry thyme tart that everybody's talking about from Wine Bar George. Uh, it looks like it's got like a uh like a pastry that's like croissant-like that's filled with blueberry jam with a hint of thyme.
SPEAKER_01Hmm, that's a different combo.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and there's like a little bit of like a Mars Capone cheese on the side. It just looks like a really good, I don't know how to like say it, like a like a hand pie, but it's like it looks like creme brulee-ish on the outside. I don't know. It looks really, really good.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it looks great for you gluten people.
SPEAKER_00I know, but you gotta support it here, huh? You gotta support you. You're very you're very contentious here today. It's all you're coming after us glutonians. Uh a nice bit of pastry news uh coming to Walt Disney World is we we haven't gotten this yet, and I don't think you can't have this, but you were trying to get me to have it because it has some of our favorite flavors. It is that stuffed pancake sandwich over an animal.
SPEAKER_01Wow, that looks great.
SPEAKER_00It looks great because it's it's sausage, guava paste, egg, and cheese. And we love guava paste. And we took a trip to the Dominican Republic years ago, and they had guava paste for everything. And every morning I was making like ham, egg, and cheese with guava paste sandwiches. Yeah, you had some too because you were eating the gluten back. Yeah, it was nice. We gotta get you back on the gluten. But it looks like you can get these uh in some new places now. Pangu, pongu, tamu, tamu uh refreshments, harambe fruit market. Uh, new places to get these stuffed, thick and fluffy pancake sandwiches with the guava paste.
SPEAKER_01Wasn't that your nickname in high school?
SPEAKER_00Uh, it was thick and fluffy pancake sandwich.
SPEAKER_01Stuffed pancake.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's it. They it was all my nicknames rolled into one. It's all three of them. Uh, yeah, this thing looks uh really good. It looks like a cheese omelette with guava paste and then a sausage patty pancake on the outside. Uh, I'm gonna get this this time, and when I come back, uh we will we will definitely talk about this thing. So that is it right now. Oh, the other thing I want to talk about news-wise is it looks like, and this started popping up yesterday, is it looks like they're gonna start enforcing some sort of if you're gonna use transportation to go in and out of uh Disney Springs, you're gonna have to have a resort reservate, you're gonna have to have be staying at a Walt Disney World resort or having some sort of reservation at Disney Springs. So that's different. I think they're like starting to like crack down. We we we definitely didn't do that. We we we stayed off property one time and we're we're using the buses.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but I'm thinking we're we were planning that one day to go from Disney Springs to the Polynesian for a reservation.
SPEAKER_00No, we could do that because we're still staying on Disney property. I think this is what you know, we get you get those advantages for staying at Walt Disney World. Uh like like early entry, you know, you get the early park entry, and now they're gonna give you the uh you know the ability to take the bus transportation to Disney Springs, but it doesn't look like anybody else is gonna be able to hop on the bus and head back to one of these resorts.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so all you stragglers who aren't staying at on property, still conducting.
SPEAKER_00She's ready for a fight today. What's going on? You are going to be edited out of this podcast. It's gonna be sound like I'm just sitting here talking to myself. Um all right, so that's all the news I have right now. We did get our ADRs today. I did wake up at 5 45 to get our ADRs. Yeah, I will let everybody know at home there are some surprising ADRs we got. Wailulu Grill coming up in our trip. We have never been there, so we that looks great. We'll get to try that. Uh Topolino's Terrace Breakfast. We have yet we've booked it twice and not gone. Yeah. This time we're definitely gonna do that. We've got uh Gwendolyn Rogers Cake Bake Shop for a brunch or breakfast. Uh we ended up getting that Woody's Roundup Rodeo barbecue. Like the Roundup Rodeo barbecue. We're doing that. Yeah, that's good. Uh sci-fi drive-in. We just got that as like a just in case we may we need to be a little bit more than a few night. Yeah, late night. We may need you. And uh the boathouse.
SPEAKER_01And the beacon barrel.
SPEAKER_00And beacon barrel. And I got beacon barrel. I will say for everybody booking at home, um, the beacon barrel was very easy to get. Even with a party of six, we're gonna be a party of six on this. It was easy to get. Topolino's still very hard. I had to change the days I wanted to. Wailu bar and grill was probably the worst. I could still, even right now, go ahead and get Ohana breakfast if I wanted to. Back in the day, you could never do that. Yeah. Um, it seems like Topolino's Wai Lulu very hard still to be able to get reservations.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, so we know what the popular spots are for the year.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So I mean, that Wylulu barn grill is done. There's like nothing there for all of August right now, which is just crazy. I don't know. Yeah, they'll probably release some more. And you can always use something like mouse watchers or or mouse dining. Uh, go on those sites to be able to put in alerts for yourself. We've done that before in the past, and it's worked out nicely. Well, we got our ADR, son. We're set.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I know. I really appreciate you staying on top of that. And last night you said you found out that it was actually they open at 6 a.m. 6 a.m.
SPEAKER_00And for some reason I knew that, and I was like, in my head, I was like, oh, it's 7 a.m. I'm like, no, it's six. I knew that. So uh if anybody uh you know, uh message me at Mitch at here we go getaways.com. Uh if you want to book a Disney vacation with me, I'm I'm more than happy to help you do that. And I will book your ADRs because I knocked it out of the park. That'll be the free service I offer to the first that's awesome. First, I will say the first 50 that I get from the podcast that want to book with us, I will offer the dining reservations. Now I may do the first 100. Who knows? We'll see how hard it is. But you do I do have to wake up at 5:45 and get and grind out and get these things, but I've got it down. Yeah, I did not figure jump, I did not disappoint. We got every single ADR that we wanted to get, and uh, it was just funny how I I saw the Wai Lulu grill, uh barn grill. That was really like a tough one. So, I mean you could get storybook, uh dining, there was all these different ones. I could still get the Ohana, um, you know, beaches and cream, even, but that Wai Lulu was it was tough. So, was Summer House on the Lake was uh didn't have a lot. I was just like trying to take you know, uh take stock. Could you have gone ahead of time?
SPEAKER_01Because it's yeah, because you could clearly uh you could, yeah.
SPEAKER_00So that was that too. I started looking outside, so even at the boathouse, they didn't have the exact time I wanted. That is not a Disney uh restaurant, they're you know outside of Disney, so you can go to open table and uh Gwendolyn Rogers was the same way, so yeah, Gwendolyn Rogers outside of that and got those reservations and uh and the boathouse. So, all right. Well, that is the news for today's episode, and now we're gonna get into the second part of this, which I think is kind of fun. Is I want to talk about rides, and I want to talk about our top rides right now, the ultimate ride episode coming at you right now. Uh here we go. So let's talk about rides really quick, and let's let's break them up into some different categories. So, what I will say is category one, give me your top, and this is so hard. So, give me your top five. I was gonna say four, but I think five might be better. Five's a better number for this. Give me your top five classic Disney attractions or uh you know uh rides attractions, top five classics. Then we'll move on to thrill rides, five of your top thrill rides, okay, and then we'll say category three will be shows, and so you can kind of count anything as shows. We've done a little bit of this in the in the past, but we'll say uh whatever your shows are. Try to keep them a little a little specific. So you know, happily ever after fireworks, maybe not so much that as a show. I feel like that's a show though. It is, but okay. I'll give it to you in the top because we're doing a top five, I'll give it to you. So you're already gonna say well, I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I just like to have the option. All right.
SPEAKER_00Okay, so where are we starting? You you remember where we're starting? We're gonna start with classic Disney attractions. Well, I would have to say, I will be on top of you if I don't think it's classic or not.
SPEAKER_01I know, and this might be hard for me because I didn't really go a whole lot of but you know what the classic ones are.
SPEAKER_00I mean they're gonna be all mainly from the Magic Kingdom, yeah. You know?
SPEAKER_01Okay, well, definitely have to say Pirates of the Caribbean.
SPEAKER_00Okay, and do you want to do them in order?
SPEAKER_01I don't know. Okay, well, yeah, they're probably my top one then.
SPEAKER_00Pirates is your your top haunted mansion. Yep.
SPEAKER_01Um I'm gonna have to say the Little Mermaid one.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god. It's not it's not even a classic. It well it's it's a classic to for you, uh, but that ride was a uh, I think it was like a 20,000 leagues under the sea ride or something like that before that. Yeah, so there was something else before that. Okay, well, does that count or no? 2,000 leagues, whatever. I like messing it up. 1 billion leagues under the 20,000 leagues. Is it yeah? Yeah, it sounds right.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, correct us if we're wrong, audience.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, come to my house and reprimand me in front of my children. Those aren't the right numbers.
SPEAKER_01Uh Space Mountain, is that cla that's classic, right?
SPEAKER_00I would, but is that a thrill ride for you or not? Oh. Um is that gonna make it to the other team?
SPEAKER_01No, I'm gonna put in the classic.
SPEAKER_00All right, so your classic so far. Let me see what you got here. Pirates. The Pirates, Haunted Mansion, uh Little Mermaid, Space Mountain. What's your last one? Hall of Presidents for you.
SPEAKER_01I've never even been in there.
SPEAKER_00You don't want to see the animatronics?
SPEAKER_01I mean, obviously, for other people, they're gonna say they're gonna have different things. No, it's fine.
SPEAKER_00Well, that's why this is your this is your thing. I'm not saying this isn't for everybody. I'm gonna do mine next. Um caffeine here. Going off the rails. You started you started spicy.
SPEAKER_01What about I don't know if this is classic though? Epcot?
SPEAKER_00Sure. Uh space of earth?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Okay, I like that. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I have I have some Epcot in mine too.
SPEAKER_01Wait, is that no? Yeah, no, it's five. That's five. No, it's five. Or we can count the Little Mermaid Mermaids. Yes, you're good.
SPEAKER_00You can count it. That's for you. That's a classic. You know, Little Mermaids was was filmed in the 90s, so you're good. Filmed, filmed, like they shot that live. It's a documentary called The Little Mermaid. Those people could hold their breath a long time. The actors were great. This is before you could do CGI, so they were just holding their breath. All right, for me, uh, we'll definitely go right off the bat with uh three classics right in Magic Kingdom with uh Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise. Right off the bat. Like those are three classics for me that I I can't live without. My other one is going to be uh at Epcot, which is going to be Spaceship Earth. I love it. Uh you know, it's that the ride that goes through the the actual globe. Uh, you know, I I love to go, you know, smell Rome burning. Yeah, you gotta thank the Phoenicians. Thank you, Phoenicians. You can thank the Phoenicians for the alphabet. That lady I can hear in my my nightmares. I love her. Uh yeah, I think it sounds like Judy Dench's voice or something like that. Uh uh, so I love that ride. It's it's you know, it's great to beat the heat, too. Like that's one where you're like, I'm hot, let's take a 15-minute tour. Uh the other one that I have a runner-up in here that I just have to put there. It would be the three Caballeros boat ride over at Epcot. Like, they're it's close for me between those two. I could ride both of those forever. I think you get a little bit more out of Spaceship Earth.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And then my last ride is we're going back to Tomorrowland. What do you think it's gonna be? People mover. It's the Tomorrowland people mover. Uh, people mover's uh gonna make my top five. I I absolutely love it. These are classic Disney attractions, they have a special place in my heart. I mean, how many times could you go on the haunted mansion? It's fantastic, you know. You start you start and it's like a little creepy, and you're like, oh, it's scary. And then they got the the the bride, and then the then you just go into like the graveyard, like it's just like fun, it just like kicks off, like, yeah, let's get it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, these guys are going bananas. I love when they do the thing where it like shows the ghost hitchhiker, and like if they switch it switches your heads.
SPEAKER_00And one last thing, beware of hitchhiking ghosts. Hurry back. So there's like room for there's that's 99 ghosts, right? 999 ghosts, but there's always room for one more. Yeah. Yeah, it's a great attraction. Uh, Pirates of the Caribbean, there's nothing like it in the world. Uh, just that first little drop, and you go in there and you just go, Whoa, what did they build? Like it's a you Know that you're indoors, you just saw like a corridor, now you're smelling that delicious pirate water. Yeah, it's crazy that they how long how long ago did they build this? In the 70s. Wow, it's crazy. You know, like you know, 19 you know, 74 or whatever.
SPEAKER_01It was the 1900s, the 1900s, 1970 to be exact.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's it's crazy that they built that. And and you know, they built that in in California 10 years before that. Uh oh. So uh yeah, 1962 or whatever. It's this wait, it's the 70th right now. It's their 70th anniversary of Walt Disney uh land. Oh, so like in the 50s. Is that what it is? I don't know. You don't think we're mad at it?
SPEAKER_01No, no, it is. Uh is it yeah. In the 50s, yeah.
SPEAKER_00If it was the I feel like we're supposed to be the experts, and this has gone completely off the tracks here. Let's ask Siri real quick. Hey Siri, when was Walt Disney Land built? 1955. You're right.
SPEAKER_01I think I can't math.
SPEAKER_00Well, you're mathing. All right, so we did a little we did a little some of the math here. 1971 for Walt Disney World. That's when that was open, and 1955 for Walt Disneyland. Yeah, and poor Walt died before the 70, like in before 71 opened, and his brother Roy, you know, he he opened it for him.
SPEAKER_01He Roy Disney, I didn't know about him. Yeah, Roy E.
SPEAKER_00Disney. He was the he was the man, so that was his brother, was there with him the the whole time. And there was times throughout that relationship where you know Walt was would go bankrupt, he'd open a company or whatever, and he borrowed money from his brother, and he paid him back every dime. He said, You know, before I go, I'll I'll make sure I pay you back. And on by the time he on his like you know, deathbed or whatever, when he left, he left that money to pay his brother back. It could have been millions of dollars, yeah. But he paid his brother back, and his brother made sure that you know Epcot got built, you know, yes, these resources stuff. Yeah, yeah, it's really cool, right?
SPEAKER_01So it's a lot of things about stuff.
SPEAKER_00Hey, uh, I like you too, dude. Let's stay married, all right? Cool. All right, so let's go into my favorite character uh category. Let's go into our top five thrill rides. I'm going first this time, though. It's not always ladies first, it's Father's Day this weekend.
SPEAKER_01Well, it's my birthday tomorrow, so so what do we want to do?
SPEAKER_00Let's arm wrestle. We'll arm wrestle. All right, let's do it.
SPEAKER_01I was born before you became a father, so so you want to go first? No, I'm just kidding.
SPEAKER_00All right, man, I just like to win stuff. I guess so. It's very competitive, as you can see. We're not going to level 99. Someone's not gonna come out. We're gonna come out as a family, go in as a family of six, leave as a family of three.
SPEAKER_01Well, losers dragging a style. That's it.
SPEAKER_00It's gonna be me and Sully and you, poor June, Cooper, and grandma. Oh my god. All right, so uh thrill rides for me in no particular order. I gotta give a shout-out right off the bat to the OG of it all, Space Mountain.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, I thought we were gonna go with Twilight Zone first.
SPEAKER_00No, no, no. I mean, that's my favorite one. So that's me. It's OG, but but Space Mountain was built as like you know, the very first like thrill ride. I'm going to have to say that in my top five, I am gonna go Tiana's and Space Mountain, both thrill rides, in my in my opinion. Very fun. Yeah, I've got three more left. I gotta give it to Tron because I love it. And people will knock this ride for being too quick. I don't care. The last time I I was saying it before the last time, and we rode it like five times, and I just went, Man, they got this done. If you haven't been on the front row of Tron nighttime, flying through the air, it's the only time I ever felt like Superman in my life with my arms out straight, strapped onto this thing, like I'm riding a horse. It's crazy. It's like it's like I'm like riding a Pegasus through the air, like it is like nothing else. So I will say way too fast, yes. But would I rather not have it or have 40 seconds of pure bliss? It's amazing. I love it. Uh like I hopefully I get to ride it at least three times on this next trip. Yeah, at least. Oh, yeah. Uh it's we got this. All right, so I got two left after that. Uh, of course, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is gonna go in there for me. That's my number one thrill ride. Uh, it might be one of my my favorite thrill rides in the world that I've ever ridden. It's probably my favorite ride all altogether. Uh, there are some shout-outs over at Universal, you know, they got the Velocicoaster and Hagrid's, they got some great thrill rides, but Twilight Zone, Tower of Terror, it takes it. My last one here, and it's it's it's crazy. I'm going to leave uh I'm gonna leave a coaster off of this. I'm leaving a couple of coasters off of this, yeah. Which is which is nuts. Uh but I love Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind. Yeah, I absolutely love it. I know. And uh I love Expedition Everest, and I have to choose one. Oh so right here, I'm going to say on my last trip to Walt Disney World, it was fun riding Expedition Everest, but it made me a little bit sick. First, yeah, it made me a little bit sick. I love it. It's a classic coaster, you know. You're kind of going up the mountain and and going down, uh, you know, go to see Disco Yeti. So I'm gonna leave Expedition Everest off this one. It may change for me down the road. I love it, it would be number six for sure, but I gotta give Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind. It's like nothing I've ever ridden before. That one can make you a little sick too, but I love the idea of the the songs and the launch backwards and everything else. It's it's it's an amazing ride, and I love the IP. Uh, the Muppets will probably make the list once we get on this thing, too. I used to love going on uh the rock and roller coaster, but it got old after a while and would rack your head around and like shurt your neck and shake you up. Yeah, we'll see how the Muppets do. Maybe it won't shake me as much. And I I can't wait to, you know, six different songs on the Muppets, which is fun. Give me some cool songs. Yeah, I don't want any walking on sunshine from what's her face there, like Kelly Clarkson. Uh I want like song two, you know, like that blur song. Oh, that those are the songs? Yeah, oh yeah, they're great. Yeah, you want to hear the songs real quick? Yeah, hey Siri, give me the songs from uh Muppets Mayhem Roller Coaster. Here you go. Oh, hold on. All right, so here are the songs that are gonna be on the new Muppets Rock and Roller Coaster. You've got song two, which is that blur cover, which is gonna be by the yeah, it's a great song, and it's gonna be done by the electric mayhem, which is the Muppets band. Animals the drummer in that band with you know Dr. Teeth. Uh uh, then we got uh Born to Be Wild with the Electric Mayhem, featuring Camilla the Chicken, the Steppenwolf cover. All right, so these are all electric mayhem, but they have other people with them. They have Love Roller Coaster, which is great. Roller Coaster, um, and you got Quest Love and Jennifer Hudson on that one. Uh, we've got Rock Rock till you drop, which is uh uh featuring Def uh Def Leopard, and then Walking on Sunshine, featuring Kelly Clarkson. So there's five songs, not six. Pardon my French. Well, excuse me, everyone. I guess I don't know anything today. Uh, but yeah, that's it. What do you think? You're excited? I hope we get that blur. I hope we get that blur soon. You love it? All right, so you're up, thrill rides. I'm sure they're gonna be close to what I mean. Number one. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Tron.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01Number two, Hollywood, Tower of Terror. Love it. Three. You came in hot and I slowed down. I'm gonna say, well, I'm sure it's still gonna be it's gonna be the Muppets roller coaster.
SPEAKER_00Okay, all right, great. Yep, rock and roller coaster. Okay, cool.
SPEAKER_01And then Expedition Everest. Okay. I still got one more.
SPEAKER_00You got one more.
SPEAKER_01Um, I mean, I already did Guardians? Oh. Yeah, why did I forget about Guardians? You forgot. Yeah, I wasn't Guardians. See what I did there? I snuck in the classic ride in Space Mountain. I know.
SPEAKER_00You screwed me over there.
SPEAKER_01I really do love that ride. It's a it's a very good ride.
SPEAKER_00It is, and I like when you like become a little frog. Love that lady. Okay. Uh let's go for our category number three here, shows and attractions. Shows and attractions. Okay. Uh, you can start, ladies first. It's your birthday. We're gonna need five. Can you do them quick or you want to hear mine?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, let me hear yours.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, see, now it's like go ahead and go. I don't know what to do. All right, so mine. Uh, I'm gonna go Mickey's Philhar Magic. What's always on the list? Yeah, the enchanted tiki room, always on my list. I'm gonna say Carousella Progress, always on my list. Uh I am going to go with uh the new Zootopia over at Animal Kingdom. I love it. I loved when it was tough to be a bug. I even like it. I like it almost even more now that it's Zootopia. And um, if you've never done Festival The Lion King, great, Indiana Jones, Stunt Spectacular, great. These are all great ones. Uh, but my last one is going to be Monsters Inc. Laughlar. Oh, yeah. Yeah. So those are my shows. I did it quick. Did I hopefully give you something? I know.
SPEAKER_01I feel like I pretty much agree with you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Um is there anything you would change in there at all?
SPEAKER_01All right. I'm gonna say Mickey fill her magic. Yeah, Mickey, throw Donald into the wall. Yeah, smash it. Monsters Ink Laugh or Yep, great one. Um, I'm gonna also, I think the fireworks at Magic Kingdom. All right, happily ever after. Fireworks.
SPEAKER_00I didn't do any of that. Ooh, I have to give a little bit of a shout out to that uh uh Starlight Parade. That thing's got that thing's got you got that thing's got that thing's got my heart on a string over here. Yeah, I'm ready for that. That's a great, great one. I want to chase that thing. If I miss it, I'm chasing it in a pair of crocs.
SPEAKER_01Like, wait, I need to see Peter Pan. Um, and then I'll go with the tiki room as well.
SPEAKER_00That's great. Yeah, when it starts getting white lotusy, crazy, like oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_01People are either gonna love this episode or hate it. So we did a like a lot of singing.
SPEAKER_00I don't care. It's free. Enjoy it or turn it off if you don't like it. What am I supposed to do? I'm here, I'm here to enjoy stuff with people. We came on hot. This is this is us. I know.
SPEAKER_01I think that hopefully they'll enjoy the the weird side of us.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean, that's us. That's who we are. Uh, all right. So I mean, apparently we got something going on because let's get into the listener questions here. So I'm just gonna pick three uh here today. Um, I'm gonna go with okay, we've got Ryan from Columbus, Ohio. Ryan from Ohio writes, again, he says Mitch. So I don't know why they're checking me out. I don't know why they're doing this, Ryan. You're gonna create more tension. I mean, because you know more things than that. It's all right. It's all right.
SPEAKER_01You're the expert.
SPEAKER_00Uh I'm just here for the looks. All right. So, what's one Walt Disney World tip uh that experienced visitors know, but first timers could miss? So he's looking for like one tip from us that shouldn't be uh that shouldn't be missed. And I think that you've done like you've you you've had some tips from like the last couple ones. We've had the tips and tricks episode hacks. Um, I will give one here that's like really easy and I I like a lot is um don't sleep on how about resort hopping. I love going to the other resorts. Like I think that's like a fun thing. That's a that's like probably one tip.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I think another good one, which we talked about at the beginning of this episode, is booking those ADRs. Oh so if you are playing on doing some resort hopping, you might as well get a nice meal while you're like us. We're going to Polynesian, yeah.
SPEAKER_00We're gonna go to we're not staying in the Polynesian, we're gonna go to the Polynesian to the Wailulu grill, and we'll get to see everything in that resort and go down. You know, you can't go in their pool, but watch me try. I'm gregarious, I'm gonna get in there. I'm charming. Excuse me, miss. I've lost my magic band. Your phone works. Oh no, I've left my phone in the room as well. I'm just here in swim trunks. Please let me in. You know what they're gonna say? No, I don't know. We'll see. It's just me. The kids are watching me swim. I know. Uh I'll give you one more quick tip, too, that I like. Uh, we said before um mobile ordering. I think this is another one. If you've got your app open and you're close to some restaurants, order, walk up. There'll be a space on the right or left-hand side where you can just kind of walk up and grab your food after you give them your number. Uh, it's great. You can customize everything in there, and it's a fast way to beat those lines on those hot days.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Okay, let's go to our next question here. All right, this one is going to be from Oliver. He's from Manchester, which is gonna be in the UK. We got Ollie. Ollie writes, all right. My family has one day, and he didn't say Mitch this time, just Mitch, so that's kind of nice. Thank you, Oliver. Just says, My family has one day in Epcot. Do we need to spend more time eating around the world showcase or more time focusing on the rides?
SPEAKER_01Oh, I mean, I think a full day in Epcot, you definitely can do a good mix.
SPEAKER_00I think it's a 50-50 thing. Yeah, I I will tell you this, Oliver. As I will say, don't sleep on going to every one of these countries in the world showcase and trying to experience something. A store, a snack. Really spend time in there. But the other thing is there's not a ton of rides in there. What is there, like 11 rides or something like that? There's not a ton of I think there's that many, but it's not like they're crazy rides where you can't get through. You know, you can ride Nemo real quick. Yeah, you know, Figment is another one of those. Yeah, the Trace Caballeros boat ride in Mexico. You know, really focus on those rides that you want to go on and make sure that you get to do Guardians, Remy, Frozen. Soarin' now, soarin' around the US. Good one. It's a good one. And like that one's always should be very easy to be able to get, but somehow sometimes you get it and you're like, man, I'm 30 minutes in this lightning lane. Sometimes that one can get gummed up once. All you need is one person to puke on that thing or something that is done. I need this one one issue, and it really gums up the works. But if you puked on it, I'm sorry, and I I forgive you. Uh, the other thing is like, you know, get your lightning lanes and you can focus on both.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, if you strategically plan, then you definitely have time to do everything. And don't miss Club Cool because that's just fun free experience. Yeah, go to Club Cool.
SPEAKER_00You just start and get the drink. Don't drink the Beverly, but you're from the UK, so maybe they get some of the things. Yeah, you probably like the Beverly. Whoa, you're coming at Oliver.
SPEAKER_01I was it wasn't mean.
SPEAKER_00You probably liked the Beverly. I didn't say it like you saw it like Ross from Monsters saying, Wisowski probably likes the Beverly. All right, our final listener question is from Ashley from Colorado. Ashley says, or asks. Ashley asks, if Disney offered you a free week-long vacation, but you had to stay at the same park from open to close every day. What park are you choosing and why? Well, I mean, Ashley, this is hard. She's like doing she's throwing like some would you rather like some hot takes at us? This is like not even a question. She's just blasting us here.
SPEAKER_01Hmm. I mean, I guess really good, Ashley.
SPEAKER_00Very good question, but yeah.
SPEAKER_01I think I would have to say Magic Kingdom. So I just feel like there's so much to do there, and like I don't get bored on like going on stuff more than once.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I I mean you're there for a week. You you could say something like Hollywood Studios because then you could ride uh Hollywood Tower Terror over and over again.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that would be good.
SPEAKER_00You got some cool rides there, but yeah, I think at the end of the day, if you were you had to stay at one park, the same park from open to close every day. You're gonna get the most out of going to the magic kingdom, yeah, for sure. And you could have like different days, uh, you know, planned like, all right, I'm not gonna leave Adventureland.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and then do like some table service sit down, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Go to Cinderella's royal table. We could get dialed up at the Bippity Bobity boutique, and we can become a princess for the day.
SPEAKER_01You'd be such a pretty princess.
SPEAKER_00All right, what princess would I be? Jasmine, because she has pants. We've already established that.
SPEAKER_01I thought they were gonna say because she shows midrift, and so do I.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think it's Magic Kingdom, and uh it could be you know, Epcot could be another one because you could really spend some time in the world showcases. Yeah, it's the biggest park, it's huge. Like that park, you can get kind of long.
SPEAKER_01Especially if there's a festival, that'd be that'd be some good eating.
SPEAKER_00Good eating, you come back 200 pounds heavier. Oh, you're walking a lot too. I'm still gonna stick behind uh Magic Kingdom just because there's just a lot more to do, there's a lot more shows. Even the food's okay. People like to knock the food. I'm okay with it. Cheeseburger spring rolls, gastons, you know, little that cinnamon roll that I had last time with the bacon and the pecans on it. I'll eat that seven days, three times a day for a week.
SPEAKER_01And I saw that um Friars Nook, they have like some good-looking tachos there.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, tachos, and they got those little donut holes that everybody talks about, the cider donuts.
SPEAKER_01I can't eat that, but thanks for bringing it up.
SPEAKER_00Listen, I we're gonna break you're on a Disney podcast where things are the rides are made of gluten. Okay, so you're just gonna have to deal with it. All right. Uh, let me ask you a quick question. Did you have fun today? Yeah, I did. I had a lot of fun. I think this was a fun episode. Uh, we're coming into our own being a little bit goofy. This is kind of how we are. Yeah. 99% of the time, unless somebody leaves a toilet seat open or a cupboard open. Or the dishwasher. Or the dishwasher. She's trying to kill me with that dishwasher so I trip over it.
SPEAKER_01You're trying to bruise your shins a little bit. That's it. All right.
SPEAKER_00Well, listen, I love you. Thank you for uh uh doing this with me here today. I had a really fun time with you, and thanks to everybody at home. Tons of listener questions. We've got one I'll save for next week from somebody in Scotland, which is crazy that we're getting people from the UK that start listening. Uh again, I'll reiterate I'm here. Um, you know, message me at Mitch at here we go getaways.com. I'm here to help you plan whatever vacation that you want. It's a free service. I'm here.
SPEAKER_01Take advantage.
SPEAKER_00I'm here to help. Um, the other thing make sure you rate, listen, follow, share. And I just want everybody to know at home your next magical vacation to Walt Disney World is only a moment away. Here we go.
