Good Gift Podcast
The Good Gift Podcast features honest conversations with men and women from every walk of life as they share how Jesus Christ changed their story.
From business leaders to teachers, former criminals to lifelong churchgoers, each episode explores where they came from, what shaped them, what broke, and how faith transformed their understanding of purpose, generosity, and identity.
Rooted in the mission of The Good Gift Foundation, this podcast reflects a simple conviction: that every good gift comes from God, and that a life surrendered to Christ reshapes how we live, give, and love.
Whether you’re exploring faith, returning to it, or walking with Christ already, these conversations are an invitation to consider what He may be doing in your own story.
We start at Episode 99 as a reminder that God has already been writing the story long before the microphone turned on.

What does it really mean to believe?
In this episode of the Good Gift Podcast, the conversation tackles a critical distinction many overlook: the difference between believing that something is true and believing in it with full trust and surrender.
Using a vivid illustration of the 19th-century tightrope walker Charles Blondin, this episode explores how it’s possible to acknowledge truth intellectually while still refusing to trust it personally. That same tension is then examined through Scripture.
Walking through passages from James, 1 John, the Gospels, and beyond, this episode unpacks:
- Why even demons “believe” — and why that belief doesn’t save
- The biblical difference between head knowledge and heart transformation
- How faith and works relate without contradicting grace
- The role of repentance in genuine faith
- Practical ways to examine whether your faith is real
This is not a surface-level discussion. It directly addresses cultural Christianity, false assurance, and the danger of reducing faith to mere words or feelings.
Whether you’re confident in your faith, struggling with doubt, or questioning what true belief actually looks like, this episode aims to point you back to Scripture and challenge you to examine where you stand.
The invitation is simple:
Don’t settle for believing that. Seek to truly believe in.

Hey, welcome to the Good Gift Podcast. We're just a couple of guys who love Jesus, love his word, and love talking about both. We're cutting through the noise and pointing people back to the only thing that matters. That's Jesus Christ. So pull up a chair.
PeteI've written a lot over the years. I've journaled a lot, got lots of stories many times. I've woken in the middle of the night and just had clear direction to get up and and write that I
Welcome And The Burden Behind It
Petebelieve was the Holy Spirit. And I want to share some of those as we go through this podcast. I think they're they're beneficial. They've always been beneficial to me, and I've shared them with many others throughout the years. So one that was recent in the last few months, I guess, was one I entitled Believe in or Believe That. We are really seeing a move towards just believe and don't do anything. Just believe, and you don't have to follow, just believe, and you don't have to be a disciple. And that is so dangerous to be teaching others that faith without works is not dead. Scripture is so clear on this. And it's all over, too. It's just
Believe That Versus Believe In
Petehard to miss. But I think in our quick microwave drive-by society that has made Christianity this comfortable, you're not going to suffer religion. It it makes sense for for that type of teaching. And it also will grow the crowd, not shrink the crowd, but oftentimes shrinking the crowd is what's needed because we have so much hypocrisy in the church, and that's still one of the big hurdles that uh even keep some of the loss from coming. So I wrote this believe in, believe that, and I started with a just a simple story that I actually read or found online and kind of looked up a little bit of information about it. And I took I took the story and then added some things, added some details. So you might say based on a true story, but not all of this was true. Feel free to look this up on your own. Imagine being on one side of a 1300 foot tall canyon. You are with a large crowd in the summer of 1859. You and the crowd are pumped and ready for this acrobat to do his thing. There is a tightrope only two to three inches wide struggled across the canyon. Below is the rapidly flowing Niagara River that leads to Niagara Falls. On the other side of the canyon is a French acrobat stage named the Great Blondin. You are so excited to see this as you have only heard of him doing things like walking backwards, lying down, and doing somersaults on the tightrope. He has even used a camera
The Blondin Tightrope Story
Peteto take pictures or push a wheelbarrow across. Everyone is screaming as he approaches, and he walks right up to you and asks, Do you believe that I can put you on my back and walk across the tightrope today? Your heart is already pumping from the excitement and full of emotion. You confess with your mouth. I know you can. Of course this was just a question. But then he says, Well then get on my back. Your excitement now turns to fear, and you start sweating like crazy. It's one thing to ask you if you believe that he can carry you across. It's entirely different asking you to believe in him carrying you safely across. You quickly and politely say, I'm sorry, but no, I can't do that. Why? Because your mouth said something your feet were not willing to back up. In other words, you believe that he could do it, but you didn't really believe in him doing it. You hear your grandpa's words ringing in your ears. Son, actions always speak louder than words. Do you know what actually happened that day? One man did say yes and believed in the great Blonden, who successfully carried him across the canyon. That man was Harry Concord, Blonden's manager. I would imagine the manager had not only known he could do this new trick, I bet he had seen him do it with a dummy or something that simulated a human. He had the belief in knowing the facts, but also had experienced this man's skill, so therefore had complete faith and trust in his ability to do this. You will see this type of knowing later as we get into the Bible on this topic. I've been super blessed to have many pastor friends both in and around Ada, but also out of town, just to chew on topics like this and others. And as I spoke with one, I wrestled with the believe that and believe in topic. We discussed the demons' belief in the Bible. It seems to me that they believe, fear, and to a point even obey Jesus. So men and women must go beyond that type of belief. This friend said that the below example from James was not a good one because demons were never given promise to salvation belief. So we can't compare their belief to men and women.
Even Demon's Believe that
PeteIn all these years of study, I have never heard that response, and it really kind of froze me up. I mean, it just didn't understand. However, if you look at James 2:19, we clearly see he is comparing men and women to demons by his statement. The you in the verse below here refers to a brother or sister because if you insert anything else in the verse, it just doesn't make sense. James 2:19 says, you believe there is one God. You do well, even the demons believe and tremble. Let's try to take the brother or sister out of this verse. It would say, Demons believe that there is one God, demons do well, even demons believe and tremble. I hope you see what I mean. This not only does not fit well with the overall dialogue happening in verses 14 through 26, it doesn't even fit inside the words of this verse. Demons believe that Jesus is who he says he is, and that is 100% true. But this belief does not save them. James uses demons as the ultimate illustration because they show the maximum possible, believe that, faith. They have perfect theology, emotional reactions, absolute certainty, and they know who Jesus is, and they know they will be judged by him. Other demon examples that I've found in Mark 12:4 and Luke 4:34, I know who you are, the Holy One of God. In Mark 3:11, you are the Son of God. Matthew 8: 29, have you come to torment us before the time? Mark 5 :7, do not torment me. So we clearly see in Scripture here the demons, formerly angels, believe that God exists, that Jesus is the Son of God, that judgment is coming, and that Jesus has full authority. Now, since James compares men and women beliefs and demon beliefs, let's look at other examples of believe that examples in God's Word. Here we see that humans can and do have the same kind of belief that as demons. First John, just read the entire book. It's about a fifteen minute read. It is it is the best book probably for this, but it's clearly shows the difference between believe that and believe in. Here's a few little verses out of that book that I saved. First John 1 :6, if we say we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. First John two four. He who says I know him and
Scripture Warnings About Mere Belief
Petedoes not keep his commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him. 1 John 2:9. He who says he is in the light and hates his brother is in darkness until now. 1 John 3:17. But whoever has this world's good and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? 1 John 4:20. If someone says I love God and hates his brother, he is a liar. For he who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? 1 John 5:1-3. Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and every one who loves him who begot also loves him, who is begotten of him. By this we know that we love the children of God when we love God and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God that we keep his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome. Some other examples that that was first John. I've got a few more examples here. These are all over Scripture, and I know I probably didn't get them all, but these are some of the ones that I think stood out the most. In Acts 8:13-23, we see Simon the sorcerer. Read through that passage. But Simon himself believed and was baptized. But after this, Peter says, Your heart is not right before God. Repent of this wickedness. And he also says, You are full of bitterness and captive to sin. Boy, that doesn't sound like a true belief to me. But check that passage out and see what you see. John eight also read the entire chapter here and see how in verse thirty they believed, these people, but then in verse fifty-nine they wanted to stone Jesus. Interesting. So they believed, but then wanted to stone him. That's in John eight. John 12:42-43, the rulers who believed but would not confess. They believed but would not confess. John 12:42-43 says paraphrasing here, many believed but would not confess him. Then we go over to Matthew, Matthew 7:21-23, Matthew 25:31-46, and also over in Luke 1 3:22-30, people who call Jesus Lord, these people call him Lord. He says to them, I never knew you. Depart from me, you who practice lawlessness. He also says, and these will go away into everlasting punishment. And again he says, I tell you, I do not know you where you are from. Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity. These are people who clearly thought they believed in Jesus, thought that they were even a Christian, but they weren't. And unfortunately, this is the last days, and it says many. Pretty scary stuff. I know this is one reason I'm so passionate about this, is because this was me. I experienced this and now I'm seeing it everywhere in a Bible belt culture culture where everybody calls themselves a Christian. You need to examine yourself, as Paul tells us in scripture, to be sure that you're in the faith. So the believe that people, what does that mean? It means to believe that something is true. It refers to the facts or correct doctrine or understanding. There's no relationship or trust required. This is the kind of belief demons have and some humans have. We just read read through those examples. So that's believe that. You just believe that something is true, but you really don't believe in it. You're not, there's no relationship or trust required. And we know Jesus requires relationship. If you love him, you'll do what he says. Therefore, many men and women believe all the right facts, have emotional responses like we see in the parable of the sower, fear God like the demons. They're scared of God. They understand the fear to a point. And they're actually doctrinally correct. So they have the right theology, they have the right information about the Bible, they know the Bible, they could even teach the Bible, and they're not saved. So after this demon's belief discussion with the pastor, we moved on to the gospel and how we should approach that. They preferred a couple of verses below, and I have no problem with them. They are 100% true. However, I don't think they get to the heart of the matter and the belief that confusion we are seeing. Remember the eunuch in Acts 8. He was reading Isaiah and didn't understand. So Philip shared the believe in gospel more clearly. If we're not careful, we may not be rightly dividing the word of truth, 2 Timothy 2:15, when discussing this topic of believe that versus believe
Confession Versus Heart-Level Faith
Petein. So let's look a little bit closer here. These are the two verses that we talked about. John 3 16, for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. And Romans 10 9, that you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Let me throw in another verse from Paul that illustrates what I meant about not getting to the heart of the matter. Philippians 2:10-11. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of the Father. Philippians 2:10-11. Now notice in both these verses I just read, Paul mentions that people will confess Jesus. However, in Philippians, all the people will bow and confess Jesus. Some who believe that Jesus is who he says he is, and others who have truly believed in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. In other words, only some of these people will be given a new heart and put a new spirit within them by Jesus. Ezekiel 36:26. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. That's why heart here is so important in the Romans 10 verse. It says, Confess with your mouth, believe in your heart. It's often missed and just combined with confess. Only God changes our heart, and only God sees the heart. So we've talked about the belief that the belief in means to trust in, to rely on, to entrust oneself to. It requires action. It implies movement into relationship. This is the belief associated with salvation used by John and Paul above for saving faith. It commits, it embraces, it surrenders. Demons never have believed in. Fear God, but unlike the demons, this is a healthy fear of the Father. One of my brothers said, The root of salvation is Christ alone, and the fruit proves the tree is truly alive. So how do you know if you have the believe that or believe in? Well, again, let's go to the book, and we see this question is answered by God here. Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you unless indeed you are disqualified? That's 2 Corinthians 13:5. So it's pretty clear that this dilemma is not something too big for God. Of course, nothing is, but he tells us to examine ourselves. We must take
Fruit Tests For Real Assurance
Petethis to the Bible, prayer, and mature brothers and sisters in Christ. I just remember vividly this being at this point in my walk where the more I got in the book, the more I studied the Bible, the more I was fearful of my salvation or whether I was saved. And I took it to him. And over months of time, I don't know how long it was, I can't remember, but it he answered. He answered. And he answered with a clear, you are mine. I mean, you are mine, and I'm his child. So these are some statements below that I think will help people with this. I think there's a lot of people struggling with this. The more I in classes and teaching that I run into this, there's a lot of doubt, especially in this area where everybody claims it. Number one, compare your life to the word, not your emotions or circumstances. Number two, look for fruit of true relationship with Jesus and people. Look for ongoing repentance, acknowledging you hate sin and desire to turn from it. Look for giving and forgiving changes in your life. Look for obedience that comes from love, not perfection. You will desire to do what Jesus says. Look at your old self and your new self. Anything different? Talk with mature Christ followers you know to help you learn and understand the Word of God and to pray for you. Grace through faith alone, not works, but this will produce works, also known as fruit. Ephesians 2:8-10 says, For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves. It is a gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we as his are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. I just remember vividly, again, going through this time, and I want to help others with that. As I teach classes and I talk to people about are they a Christian, and then I ask, you know, on a scale of one to ten, if you die today, how likely are you to make it to heaven? I'm not getting a lot of tens. And these are people who a lot of them have been Christians for a long time. So I I go a little further with that and I ask them, what's it going to take to get to 10? And then I start hearing works. I start hearing I, I, I, I, I. It's clear that they haven't quite understood the gospel. It's what he did on that cross. It's what he did for us. And if we don't know, if we do doubt, it's okay, but don't leave that doubt. Take it to him in prayer and staying in the Bible to confirm you or save you. And often that's my prayer for these people is confirm that they really are or save them because they may not be. We talked about the book of 1 John. This is a 20-minute read. I commonly use this book, but I was reading it one morning and this word K N O W no just stopped me because of how much I was hearing it. The entire book is a test for the person who is struggling with doubt of their salvation. I did a quick search on the word no, and I found it, it appeared like over 40 times. But those were two different Greek words for the word K N O W no. So we find a book of the Bible that is described our belief that and belief in using the word no. One is knowing
Why 1 John And James Help
Petefacts, and one is knowing a relationship or experience, like the great blonde story I opened with. Believe in will be the combination of the two no's in the book of first John. The first no, I can't say this Greek word, so I'm just going to skip it here, but it's one that comes by relationship and experience. Here are some of the key verses. 1 John 2:3. Now by this we know that we know him if we keep his commandments. 1 John 2: 4. He who says, I know him and does not keep his commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him. First John 3: 6. Whoever abides in him does not sin. Whoever has neither seen him nor known him. 1 John 4:8. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. That's the first no comes by relationship and experience. The second one is knowing as a fact, mental understanding or comprehension. Here are some of those uses. 1 John 2:11. But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness and does not know where he is going because the darkness has blinded his eyes. 1 John 3:2. Beloved, now we are children of God and has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when he is revealed we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 1 John 3:14. We know that we have passed from death to life because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death. I love this one. 1 John 5:13, I just read. It says, You may know that you have eternal life. If you're a child of God, if you have truly been saved and filled with the Holy Spirit, you're a ten. When I ask that question of how likely are you to make it to heaven, you're a ten. You are a son or daughter of God. And that confidence comes from Him and the book and knowing that you know Him . 1 John's a great book. Another book I think that I strongly recommend here would be the book of James. It's another book that's no more than a 20-minute read. Sit down and read the entire thing in one setting. I mean, I think sometimes breaking apart the Bible in verses and chapters, you know, it wasn't like that in the original writing. And there's such benefits to it, but it also bogs us down into thinking this is not one letter, one book, one complete writing. And I think just reading the whole thing, a lot of times a practice I'm doing with a brother right now, actually, we're reading 2
Reading Whole Books For Clarity
PetePeter every single day. We're reading it at least once for a week, and we're just both kind of talking about what we see because God speaks differently. We're different translations, just different verses stick out, and and we're talking about that. That's such a healthy practice. So back to the book of James. I've heard it called the Proverbs of the New Testament. It's great for examining a person to see whether they're in the faith. And specifically in James 2 passage 14 through 26, it helps a person test themselves and shows it must go further than belief that and into belief in, as we've shown. A person's works must surpass the belief that example when examining themselves. And don't forget the heart that we talked about. Here's a sampling of some key verses, James 1:22. But be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. I think that's a really good one, too. Like we talked about examining yourself, deceiving yourselves. We see that all over scripture. The devil, if he can get us into believing that we're a Christian, he can just step away. C.S. Lewis in the screw tape letters wrote a little bit about this as he was talking, demons talking to demons about fooling Christians, and you see how we can deceive ourselves. James 1:26, if anyone among you thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this one's religion is useless. Again, we're seeing deceive. We're deceiving ourselves, deceiving our own heart. James 1:27. Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this to visit orphans and widows in their trouble and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. This is one of those I teach some classes or talk about misused Bible verses or misquoted Bible verses. This is one. It's not necessarily misused or misquoted, but they just quote the first of it. Whole organizations are, you know, James 1:27, take care of the widows and orphans. They leave out the hardest part, the most challenging part of the entire verse to keep oneself unspotted or unstained, some translations say, from the world. Super challenging. I mean, we've got news 24-7, we've got social media, we have got distraction after distraction after distraction. So to keep yourself unspotted from the world, pretty challenging. James 2:14-26. What does it profit, my brethren? If someone says he has faith, but does not have works, can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, Depart in peace, be warmed and filled, but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, You have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith without works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe there is one God, you do well, even the demons believe and tremble. But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled, which says, Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness, and he was called the friend of God. You see that a man is justified by works, and not faith alone. Likewise was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the message and sent them out another way? For as the body with the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead. That's a great passage. Really recommend anyone reading through that, and then even going to the references of Abraham and Rahab and going back in the Old Testament and checking those out and reading more about those two examples. Jesus is the word, and true relationships desire to listen to him. We see that in John 1:14. It says, And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Psalm one through two says, Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the godly, nor stands in the path of sinner, nor sits in the seats of the scornful, but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law he meditates day and night. Once
Love For People And The Word
Peteagain we see how important the word is, and this is a way you examine yourself. We talked about how you will love people. That's part of being changed by Christ. You will love people and not just people that you like. You will love your enemy, as Christ tells us. Galatians 5:13-14 says, You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free, but do not use your freedom to indulge. Rather serve one another humbly in love, for the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command. Love your neighbor as yourself. Okay, so we're still trying to help with examining yourself. We're trying to show scripture here. Another way, the Holy Spirit provides a supernatural way to give and forgive. I'm going to read a passage from 2 Peter that I hit not long ago and just really spoke to me. And I've I've used this so many times in classes and teaching that it's just really, really got to the heart of some things. Notice how Peter lays this out and how God has given us, quote, all things we need for life and godliness. Then we we see a little bit later, they've been given by his exceeding great and precious promises. Then notice after that, we come to believe in faith. He says, to add to your
Giving And Forgiving As First Steps
Petefaith virtue. Some translations are going to say goodness here. So what is that? It's pretty simple. Giving and forgiving. When I looked up that goodness word or virtue in a Bible dictionary or encyclopedia, I forget. It summed it up in giving and forgiving. That's the first thing that we are to do when we come to true faith in Christ. You've been given this supernatural ability to give and forgive. Jesus gave his life for us and he tells us to give to anyone who asks in Luke 6:30. While we were still his enemies, he forgave us our sins and we're told to forgive our enemies in Luke 6:27. All of them, it says. So I'm going to read out of 2 Peter 1. Let's see, we're going to go verses 2 through 9. I'm reading, let's see, I'm going to read out of NIV here. His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. Through these He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption of the world caused by evil desires. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness, and to goodness knowledge, and to knowledge self-control, and to self-control, perseverance, and to perseverance godliness, and to godliness mutual affection, and to mutual affection love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins. So we see he gives us a list of words, and I think it's like a tool belt for me. It's like, you have all these things when you come to true faith, but here is the tool you he wants you to use first. And you know, you can have a skill saw and go cut a board without measuring, but the measuring tape is gonna get it right. You know if you measure first. So he's telling us that this goodness comes right after our faith. And to get to, funny enough, that knowledge is not first on the list because most people want knowledge, they want it right away. And that's nothing wrong with that. Get in the book, but start giving and forgiving. He's giving you that supernatural ability to do that, and that's what he's wanting. So just start doing it and see how he will bless it. Another thing I mentioned on examining yourself was ask for help from mature brothers and sisters. Proverbs 15:22. Without counsel plans go awry, but in the multitude of counselors they are established. Multitude of counselors. Super important to surround yourself with men and women of God who will counsel you from the book, from the Bible.
SpeakerWhere does repentance of sin come in?
PeteYeah, the gospel without repentance is not the gospel. And I think that's one of the things I'm seeing. This this word repent is just being left out. It's it's just believe, believe. But we see even in Mark, John the Baptist, Jesus, repent and believe. We actually just made some shirts that have that on it because I think repentance is being thrown out, and I think when you're listening to teaching, if you're not hearing that, I would be very suspect. Let's talk about what repentance
Repent And Believe Means Turn Around
Petemeans. It involves a deep sadness for your rebellion against God, and it's a new mindset that will turn from sin and begin a life with Jesus. It's not perfection, but rather an acknowledgement that you can't do this life on your own. Luke 13:3-5, Acts 2:38, Acts 3:19, 2 Corinthians 7:10, those are some references that I'm getting that from. Before and during writing of this, God placed others in my path that illustrated this, believed that, or believe in. I ran into two young men at separate times that had crosses on their necks. Both said they believed, but with a few questions, I realized they had no idea who Jesus was and had no relationship with him. I was able to share with them about Jesus and provide the material, provide some material for them to read that gave them a clearer picture of the gospel. Also, two women from completely different backgrounds that had said they believed in Jesus for
Testimonies Of False Faith Exposed
Peteyears, but just came to true faith and trust in him. During this time, I ran into those two women too. I mean, two friends would have said they were a Christian their whole life, and now you ask them and they say no. They were fooled their whole life, and now they truly believe in him and have been changed. Their testimonies are amazing, and for the first time ever they have tasted and seen the Lord is good, Psalm 34:7. I can only hope this finds people who have struggled with believe that and believe in topic like me. See, I believe that Jesus was the Son of God who died for the sins of the world, but I liken my story to the great blondness story. I would not get on his back and let him show me the way. Instead, I took the good person route and thought I was good enough to make it to heaven. What a fool I was to think I could make it in by my good works when the Bible says, Proverbs 28:26, he who trusts in his own heart is a fool, but whoever walks wisely will be delivered. Romans three twenty-three says, For all have sinned that falls short of the glory of God, and the penalty for that sin is death, forever being separated from God Almighty. It's what we all deserve. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans six twenty-three. But praise be to God that He and He alone call me. And all I did was simply answer His call to follow. Since that it's been slow at times, fast at times, and very much a journey of suffering. But when I keep my eyes on Jesus, I experience the joyful suffering he promises until his return. However, it's worth it, and I will continue this fight until one day he says, Well done, my good and faithful servant. So if you don't know if you believe that or believe in, that's okay. I actually remember a time in my early walk with Jesus where I had that same doubt. Just like I said before, don't leave it there. Don't leave that doubt where it is and take it to the God who knows. There's a song I'm a big fan of Josiah Queen, and music's a big part of my story, and he sings a song called Love You to Death, and the lyrics in that song always have caught me. But how can I say I believe when it's never been that costly to me? Love y'all and God bless.
