EP #74 - THE SPACE
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In this episode of Spiritual As F**k!, we unpack the massive shift happening globally as more people move away from the mainstream and search for something deeper.
From corporate leaders exploring breathwork and meditation, to everyday people seeking nervous system regulation, holistic healing, spirituality and conscious community… the conversation around wellness, healing and personal growth is changing fast.
But there’s also a problem.
People are actively searching for trusted practitioners, retreats, workshops and support… yet so many incredible practitioners remain hidden, overwhelmed by visibility, marketing and the pressure to put themselves out there.
In this episode, we share our own experiences navigating spirituality, business, burnout, leadership and the challenge of finding aligned practitioners you can genuinely trust.
And by the end of the conversation, we realised something bigger needed to exist.
In this episode:
- Why more people are questioning the mainstream
- The rise of spirituality in corporate leadership
- Why so many practitioners stay hidden
- The struggle of visibility, confidence and “backing yourself”
- Why people are craving deeper connection and community
- The hidden problem nobody is solving in the wellness industry
PLUS… we officially reveal THE SPACE.
A brand-new community and future global directory designed to connect people with trusted practitioners, experiences, events, retreats, workshops and real conversations in the spirituality, wellness and personal growth space.
We also launch BACK YOURSELF, a global call-out encouraging incredible practitioners, healers, coaches and facilitators to stop hiding, back themselves, and step into greater visibility, connection and impact.
BACK YOURSELF
We are officially beginning the search for incredible practitioners in the spirituality, wellness and mental health space who are ready to BACK THEMSELVES.
Whether you’re just starting to put yourself out there… or you already have an established business and you’re ready to grow it bigger, connect with more people around the world, and put a bigger spotlight on what you do… this is for you

I have witnessed people changing. And when I talk about people, I'm thinking people that have never necessarily looked into healing, spirituality, energy work, nervous system regulation, like the whole shebang. I'm starting to see friends move into being more curious.
SPEAKER_00Our nervous system can't bloody handle all the things that are being thrown at us. Most people are saying, no, I'm unsubscribing. I am choosing a different path. I am looking for alternatives.
SPEAKER_01There's a lot of need. There's this beautiful growing need. People out there going, I want to try new things. But then they have no idea where to go because they go on Google and they are overwhelmed.
SPEAKER_00Hey, I'm Liz Bulpi, and I'm Diane Drew School. And this is Spiritual As, where spirituality meets the real world.
SPEAKER_01Hello everyone. Today you are joined with just Diane and I. Woohoo! How exciting is that? Your favorite sides. Just Diane and I. Now, before we get started, I want to do a giant shout out because it's been so incredible to see this influx of new followers, new people joining the conversation on Instagram. Gee, I mean, the number of new listeners uh has just been amazing. And I don't know, it's pretty cool. And it makes me feel a lot better that Diane and I are actually joined by you guys as for having these conversations. Because sometimes it can get a little bit lonely up here, can it, Diane?
SPEAKER_00Oh, sometimes, at least we know you're all backing us.
SPEAKER_01That's right. So, yeah, thank you so much if you're joining us and coming along on this spiritualist book ride with us. It is super fun. Um, and yeah, if you're not already on Instagram, come and join there. We've been receiving so many messages, especially after last, the last episode with Vader. How cool was that? Probably the fave of mine. What do you think, Diane?
SPEAKER_00Oh, definitely. Yeah, it's definitely changed how I do water, like totally. I'm I'm doing so much more and I'm so much more consciously aware since the last episode. Oh, it is, it's amazing.
SPEAKER_01And if you didn't hear the last announcement that we did, or if you're not on our social media, then quickly go and click the link in our bio because we are in the middle of launching something pretty special. It's called The Space. It is a Facebook group, and I'm not gonna tell you very much more than that. But trust me, you want to be on it. So, yes, head to the link in our bio, click the link and just follow us because very shortly something will start to happen there. And uh yeah, okay, I'm gonna zip up now. We'll zip up there or I'll get out the big stick and wrap you on the knuckles. You know, I am a talker, so I can often say too much. So, on that note, let's jump into this because today we're gonna be having a conversation that Diana and I have had honestly for a long time. We're gonna be talking about the shift. And when I say the shift, let me start by saying that I have witnessed people changing. And when I talk about people, I'm thinking people that have never necessarily looked into healing, spirituality, energy work, nervous system regulation, like the whole shebang. I'm starting to see friends move into being more curious, to starting to use these types of things, and not just friends, business people, entrepreneurs, parents, business owners actually coming to me for intuitive sessions. You know, I've seen a lot of this kind of shift starting to happen. Um I feel like it's really exciting. And today we're gonna delve into why. Like, why is this shift happening? We're also seeing a shift into so many people studying and learning different modalities, you know. We're actually seeing like the corporate person step off the train on an evening to go into their energy class, you know, to learn Reiki. So, yeah, it's an interesting one. And I feel like this conversation is really good timing for this. So, Diana, I've got a question to kick things off with you firstly. What changes have you noticed when we talk about the shift?
SPEAKER_00Oh gosh, this is this is funny because for for our listeners, as Liz said, this is something that we are chatting about all the time. Like we've been talking about this probably since we had our awakening ourselves, because once you have, whether it's your spiritual awakening, whether you call what I call it a midlife crisis, whatever it is, when you start viewing the world differently, you suddenly start to notice then that other people around you stay the same. And then other people are waking, you know, waking up, if we want to call it that. But for me, I've had a massively interesting perspective lately. So having been living in Australia for 26 years and now moving back to my homeland, to my you know, rural Donegal, the difference in what I'm seeing in people. So in in Australia, like for example, I was definitely seeing a lot of people waking up, we'll say where they're just they're let's put it this way, moving away from the mainstream is probably what I call a lot of it because questioning people exactly questioning everything, like questioning their reality, and because of the nature of the work I do, I look at it and I think, oh, is that just a phase of life? Is it, you know, that I'm a woman of a certain age, you know, that you're starting to do this sort of thing. We're just getting too old, aren't we? And that's it. You kind of think, am I just over the bullshit, or am I, you know, is it something more than that? But then what I was seeing, and particularly because I'm just gonna put this through the business lens for a moment. So in my business, my business had to drastically change when I went through my spiritual awakening. Like I literally could no longer do the work that I was doing. And, you know, the foundation of me being a coach, like obviously background in corporate, but being a coach, all of a sudden, the people who started to come to me started to change. So the people who were coming to me were corporate people, a lot of them disillusioned with the types of work that they were doing. It was like almost like I want to get out of it. Now there's no doubt about it that um, you know, everything that we went through with the uh lockdowns, let's put it that way, that in its own got people thinking differently.
SPEAKER_01It was almost just gonna say that. I don't feel like that not necessarily trusting the mainstream and what the news is saying and everything stems from a lot of that what we all experienced in the world with COVID.
SPEAKER_00Yes, but also what where I was going with that was actually around people got to spend more time with their family. They got to spend time out of the office. So instead of thinking, you know, just that, oh, I'm going to have this crisis of faith uh in the workplace, it's like, no, I actually want to live my life differently. So those two things colliding, the fact that, okay, I'm not trusting mainstream medicine, not uh trusting mainstream media, any sort of news. Um, but also I've reconnected with my family, with my own sense of purpose. Or maybe for some people, they went through a dark period and it's like this sense of feeling alone, feeling isolated, but the shift in everybody at that point in time started to plant the seeds for what is now evolving, you know, how many years later. So that was what I was seeing. But definitely in my work, seeing the amount of people coming out of corporate, or people who were once teachers and now want to go into, as you say, become, you know, you know, a Reiki master, or you know, now they're doing breath work and you know um sound baths and things like that, the unbelievable. Or people who are were mainstream medical practitioners who are now going into like homeopathy, naturopathy, those sorts of things, or even um um from psychotherapy to hypnotherapy or getting into more holistic coaching, they're the people who are coming to me that I'm like, oh, I didn't expect that because like my client base previously would have been totally corporate leadership. That's it, like, or people who are going through a lot of um mental health issues, so trauma addiction coming out the other side of that. But now it's like, no, it's actually people who are really, really taking their life by the horns and just saying, I want to change. I'm not doing this anymore. I'm not having the burnout of, you know, the always-on media, the social scrolling, the pressure that's coming from corporate, and even the, to a degree, the the sense of disillusionment with thing and those leaders within corporate that it's like, okay, the old system's not working. How do I become a better leader? Like the leader who's going to bed at night and thinking, I don't want to be doing it in this way anymore. How do I become a more conscious leader in a corporate organization or a more conscious entrepreneur that I can run my business in a different way? And I love it, it's fascinating. But since I came to Ireland, the total opposite, because here I'm in a rural area, and I came back and I was like suddenly looking for like, well, who are all my practitioners that are the kind of people I had in Australia that I want over here? And I'm just saying, oh my god, maybe it's the um, you know, the pagan in us. In Irish people that ancestral, like, you know, relationship with the land, relationship with nature, but it's so much more prevalent over here. Like I find that I see so many more awakened people here in Ireland. Now it's in pockets, and there's plenty of people who, you know, you still couldn't have this kind of a conversation with, but I am in awe of the community, the network, but it's like an underground hum over here. And if you're not in the thick of it, if you're not part of the little WhatsApp group, it's almost like nobody advertises anything, but it's there, and it is like I am in total awe of how much it is organically growing over here, not in a sense of kind of pushing it into people's faces or oh, thou shalt wake up or thou shalt, you know, kind of move away from mainstream. It's just very organic how it's happening, and I I just love that I've had those two different perspectives in that. And definitely what you're saying, I I do feel too that it's all the lockdowns, all of the mismanagement, let's put it very mildly. Um we will still have a conversation. Exactly, exactly. I can feel my blood boiling, but but that uh what I'm grateful for that is it planted the seed for where we are today.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, definitely. Because I think as well, there's that rise of anxiety, uh, you know, this planet, this just rise with everything because everything went online and it was technology, and you know, the world anyway is rapidly changing with technology, which has brought everyone online. And now that search for connection and really great, meaningful face-to-face connection is there, and that also is bringing people out of the house to go to the drum circles, exactly. The meditation in class, and you know, the people that were just only mainstream fitness, we've seen them, you know, dip their toe into the water on going to like start their ice breaths, and then they go to the who are the next person after the ice baths, that maybe the healers, the the sound baths, breath work there, which leads to meditation, and then all of a sudden, like that that the water muddies, it's not that clear thing on spiritual and mainstream. Actually, now there's so much more involved with um yeah, what people would normally think would was really woo-woo. It's not now.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I and I think what you're saying that that's at the individual level, but even you look at corporate events, like I remember, you know, like all the years in leadership and trying to trying to get sort of mental health-related things into the workplace, and there was so much resistance. And back then, you know, the it took a long time to get there, but the tick in the box almost that every corporate would do is oh, we'll offer a yoga class or oh, we'll do you know, a meditation, something like that. That was as far as they were willing to go. But now corporate events have the breath work, like I mean, like Ali Skiba that we've had on the show, like she does amazing sound baths with with corporate. Um, uh I know another person from um Nara Prana, and he's he's doing like breath work sessions and and like ice baths as well for leadership teams. So it's I just feel that even their say leadership off sites, you know, where they're doing strategy and things like that, they're bringing in the meditation, they're bringing in more, more spiritual or more holistic kind of um facilitators to help get people into that mental space where they can clear away what's happening in the day-to-day and in the marketplace and actually open themselves up to better visioning and possibilities. So, yeah, it's not just at the individual level, you're seeing it actually change in the corporate field, which is always so slow to move anyway.
SPEAKER_01And you know, me coming from squirky working in schools, same right now, really good schools. In fact, in Australia, like I don't know, primary schools that don't do like meditation wellness and these little mindfulness breaks for kids now. It's actually kind of normal, especially like meditation, listening to that type of stuff. But there are schools that you do a little bit of yoga. Um, you know, once I build my school, there'll definitely be a bit of intuition being taught in there. Yes. But I love it, it's kind of like seeping gently in everywhere, and that that shift is happening so gradually. And there are some key people like your Ali Skiebers that are out there and they are pushing this mainstream so good on you, Allie, and anyone else, even David the Medium, actually. You know, you saw David the Medium on Sky News. Yeah, just like bloody hell, times are changing when you see uh a psychic medium being taken seriously as well, not just this little entertainment piece, but actually being asked about global news, that's epic. Yes, good work, Dave.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely, yeah. And it's I love that sense of groundswell, that sort of, you know, it's been seeping in or trickling in for a while, but it feels like, and now that we're at this next, you know, almost tipping point of, you know, if you're disillusioned with mainstream media, if you're disillusioned with the orchestration of kind of keeping people in fear to a degree, or the fact that our nervous systems can't bloody handle all the things that are being thrown at us, then now you're realizing it almost feels like there's another ground spell of that happening against us. And it's like most people are saying, no, I'm unsubscribing, I am choosing a different path, I am looking for alternatives, and I freaking love that. It's like I've got where the energy of change comes in.
SPEAKER_01Like that's a tell me, tell me what story is because it's only happened today. So we got given, as you kind of need to do when it's spiritual stuff, right? You need a recommendation. I don't know if you feel the same as that, but I always choose uh practitioners or any modality via recommendation. Anyway, my husband, you know, I guess he's he's dipped his toe in because how could he not have his choice? He's really got no choice. He has to listen to this stuff all the time.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01So good friend tells us about this local chiropractor. She said to me, his chiropractor, he does this energy work as well. But I thought, you know, I'm not gonna really go into too many details, my husband, on that. He had a bad neck, so I was like, You should book in with this chiropractor. Two streets away. Great. He went today. Oh god, this was so funny. He went and I was literally sat on the edge of my seat because I'm thinking he has no idea what's about to happen. So he goes in thinking he's getting his neck cracked, but actually, this incredible local man, you know, opened up the session asking him a lot of well-being questions, a lot of uh, you know, general, almost like going into a psych, a psych's office, right? All these questions about where he's at in life. And then he explains to him that actually does spinal energetics and he's gonna be taking him through an energy session. Oh dear, it was so funny. I got a call and it was like, what the hell if you book me into this so funny? He's not quite been able to put it into words to me. And I was like, but was it good? Did you like it? Is he okay? I'm still trying to work out what happened. I don't know. Before I know it, he's like putting his hands over me. I'm feeling like a magnetized feeling in my body. Anyway, I just had to bring that up because the results are still to be seen. It's only just happened. However, I feel like, you know, even Jesse being my husband, like he's open to these things, you know, like he'll he doesn't freak out. Like he still went through the session, he'll he asks me for readings, you know. There's people are willing to give it a go if they've got a good recommendation. And I know you and I especially, we are starting instead of um, you know, that automatic pilot. If if there's a problem with ourselves or as a parent with our children, we're not straight away going to book an appointment of the doctor. We're looking at, well, holistically, is that are there modalities here? Who can I go and see that might give me uh a different view on this or actually give me a different style of medication or different medicine for this that's not you know out of the jar? And I know, yeah, Diane, you've done that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well, what when I kept when I arrived back home, the first thing was like, you know, when you're grounded in a place for 26 years, then all of a sudden you come somewhere else. Yes, this is my home, this is where I grew up. But like I've been away so long. I have no network, I have no how you know, savvy on how to get things done, who to go to. So I was literally starting from scratch of figuring out okay where to go to. Thankfully, my family are, you know, fairly holistically minded, somewhat spiritual. Um, so they had a good lot, but of course, straight away on the phone to my sister, like, oh, okay, who do you recommend for this? And like I've gotten, but my daughter was going through a lot of um anxiety. And like, I mean, she's a teenager, she's just moved to the other side of the world. Like, it's it's totally expected. But for me, going into and like, I mean, I do I've signed up with my local kind of um GP practice as well, because like there's still things that we screen medical for as well. But um going there, I you know, I know it was like the the same almost wanting to write or a script for certain things or go off to a therapist. And I'm thinking it's actually nervous system regulation, and I thought it was very energetic related. So I went off and found an awesome um sorry, I was gonna say osteopath, she doesn't need an osteopath, a homeopath. Um, and you know, for this was Ashlyn's first time doing go going to it and a kinesiologist. So, but she loved it, she seemed so much more at home with it, with beautiful practitioners, people who take their time with her as a you know, 15-year-old when she went to these, but now they're part of my solution for like, I mean, I have my homeopathy kit here, my daughter has one herself. It's like the things that what are your go-to things to support yourself? Like, even here, uh, because of the amount of change, I felt like I still feel like I like I need a lot of grounding. So I've gone off and gone to drum circles. Like, I mean, a guy I used to know when I was a teenager, you know, two fellow hell heavy metal fans, now is a shamanic drum, um, you know, does drum circles. And I'm like, oh my god, this is amazing. Sound baths by other people that like uh I've just been immersing myself in a lot of experiential things here to bring me back to the land, bring me back to being grounded, but it's all word of mouth because okay, I mean that's tough. But I'm gonna sneak in a frustration here. And this is I come from a city where everything is, ooh, it's on Eventbrite and you pay in advance and you, you know, you can find things, you know, to some degree. But here it's like if you don't know the people, they might have one Facebook post. If you're not following them, you don't see it. You do not hear things unless it's word of mouth. It's like this undercurrent ripple. And then I find this amazing group, uh, like a WhatsApp group where everything's posted in. But if you don't know about that group, you don't know what's going on. So it's so much interesting. Yeah, it's like there's obviously the opposite, though, right?
SPEAKER_01Like when I want to find someone, you know, the worst thing I feel like you can ever do is go onto Google because you'll be given seven million results. All of the websites have a similar look. And to me, energetically, it doesn't even feel right. Like I need to trust the people that I am seeing, and I I can't just pick someone out of fresh air. Like, I do feel that recommendations, you know, are important. And this is another interesting thing the spiritual indication. Industry as a whole, there's a lot of people out there. There's a lot of need. Let's just start saying that. So there's this beautiful growing need, like people out there going, I want to try new things, but then they have no idea where to go because they go on Google and they are overwhelmed. They have to ask around. Some people still don't want to ask around.
SPEAKER_00Or have an awful experience when they do put themselves out there.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. So and then being in the spiritual industry myself with a business, I also see it from the other point of view, or where it's like again, it's you're a small fish in a big pond and you don't know how to reach out to be in the forefront for people as well. It's it's a real interesting one, is the spiritual industry.
SPEAKER_00But but do you know what's funny? Oh God, this is not somewhere thing somewhere I was expecting to go, but that's what the it's like when you're someone who is a foot in both worlds, like when you're still in that kind of corporate leadership, um, you know, you still have a, I don't want to say a face, but you have work that's facing that direction. Um, and then you do a lot of your other work that is like as a healer or as a practitioner, you're doing it and you know, coaching in that level, to find that space to be able to just say, okay, here's a place where I can clearly articulate what it is I do for both communities. Because it's almost like a foot and corporate and a foot corporate slash leadership, and then the spiritual. So on one side, it's like people think that, oh, she's she she's too straight-laced, she's gonna pull up her backside. The other side think she's away with the fairies. So it's it's so hard to be able to find a way to either position yourself or to be seen or to find even the words to articulate what it is you do. That's it. A lot of people are doing mixed, almost like mixed modalities and mixed business two different customer-facing websites, one with the spiritual jargon and one with the corporate.
SPEAKER_01And and I do think this is changing, but yeah, I think that there's a lot of work that needs to be done because the hard thing, as well, is that a lot of people that are now training in different modalities are incredible. You know, they have gifts, they know what they're doing, yet they've never then been trained in the business skills that it actually takes to launch it to make the money needed to go and do it full-time. Or even, you know, a lot of people are starting things like this and having it as that side gig. Um, but even then, I see a lot of people that start and stop that because they don't quite know how to market what their brand should look like. And you know what I'm like I harp on about spiritual brands.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. But but but that's the thing because you're seeing it through your lens. For me, I'm looking at it and I'm thinking, oh my god, all I see is the people who have like the limiting beliefs that are I no, I say the people as if I'm not one of them, like the limiting beliefs that hold you back. Who am I to do this? And oh, I can't charge that, or oh, I don't want to have my face on screen, all of that sort of thing. And and and it's so funny because I think maybe it again, it's the duality of um Sydney versus Donegal that I'm seeing that there are amazing practitioners here that could do their work online that could have so much more global reach. Like I I'm naturally, because all of my all of my working experience has been in global roles. So I naturally think globally. But I look here and I think, oh my god, you could be doing those human design readings for someone in New Zealand, you could be doing them for someone in South Africa, um, or or maybe that you know, my homeopathy consults, they're all done online, all done online, like as in a Zoom call, same with my naturopath who's still in Australia, all done online, all done over the phone, all done through email, things are posted to me. So it's like the opportunity is there for the people who are, you know, to be broader than their, say, their 25 or 50k radius. Um, but then there's also the people who've been stuck online for so long, and this is what I'm finding. My my work was very online focused in in Australia, and I am craving getting back into the room and doing in-person sort of whether it's facilitation, whether it's healing with people one-on-one. And it's like, well, how do how do you get yourself out there to go through those limiting beliefs, to kind of push yourself out, to back yourself and just say, fuck it, I'm going to do this. I'm going to cheer myself on. I'm going to, you know, blow my own trumpet. And I I know in Australia we call it tall poppy syndrome, where you don't want to speak yourself up. And in Ireland, it's very much the same. I think a lot of nations find it difficult to kind of sing their own praises. Um, but my God, a lot of these people, oh, incredible practitioners.
SPEAKER_01Incredible. I know, and they just stay hidden. It's such a shame. Um, that's why I love having the podcast, right? Because we've met guests that I've gone on to then have readings with, like uh Luke Balk, who, you know, a few episodes back astrology. I'd an incredible astrology reading. And I love that about what we do because we get the opportunity to find people that are awesome and then spread the word, which is really cool. But yeah, there are so many people hidden away.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I definitely and I know I know we always do a shout out for this on the on the podcast because yeah, we do feel a bit lonely when we're just sitting here talking to each other. We know you're listening, we know we're in your ears all over the globe. But you know, Instagram at the moment is where we, you know, have so many of our chats. We love hearing back from people. So when this episode drops, I want to know: okay, are you someone, first of all, are you a person who has been looking for the alternative? Like, do you find that more and more, let's call it alternative, holistic, spiritual, that you're looking for that? Maybe it's even in schooling, it can be anything. It can be, you know, therapy, schooling, um, healing, whatever. Do you find that you're drifting away from the mainstream? But then on the flip side, I also want to hear from the people who are the practitioners and what their experience is. How do they get their clients? How do they do referrals? Where do they um, you know, where do they get notice? Where are they putting out their word? What's working for them, what's not, and of course, what's the frustrations like? Because I just know that we, when we started out, Liz, especially dipping more into the spiritual side or or moving away from mainstream, let's put it that way, like we were so frustrated, so lost, so unguided, like we were always searching for something new. So if you are either one of those people, so either you're stepping away from mainstream and looking for something new yourself, or you provide services into that space, please, please, please share your experiences, share your perils of wisdom for others. And hey, plug yourself, even if you want to just you know, tell us what you do and you know, put put you know, sproke yourself. Just say, here's what it is that I do. Just take the opportunity because there's so many amazing people out there. We don't know who you are, and then also we're seeking, or people like us are seeking for seeking people like you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, come and join the conversation on Insta at spiritual.a.f. Um, I think this is a really important conversation. And I want to just say as well, don't give up if you are a practitioner that has struggled and you, you know, you feel like you've really tried and you might have stopped at the moment, or you might have even built a business to a certain level, but you just can't get it any further. Like, keep going because we are seeing this incredible shift. Like this shift is happening. I'm sure that you are listening right now, going, yeah, no, I I do agree, I see it. So things can change. Like, keep going. We are backing you 100%. You know, we've been through it as well. And even for someone like me personally, and I'm not saying this in to sound good, right? Because I'm not, because I've got I'm really bad at a lot of things, but before my spiritual journey, I'd built, I'd built multi-million dollar companies, right? And then I had a spiritual awakening, which altered the crap out of me. And then naturally, because it's just what I do, I wanted to build a spiritual business. And even then, I struggled with my confidence in it. Like, whoa, imposter syndrome. Oh my god, you know, who am I to build this company in this like I needed support? Thank God for you, Diane.
SPEAKER_00Oh, and let but but but likewise, it's like when I like and that depth, because I love that that you know, we're kind of ending on this note because that dip that you feel, who am I, you know, or maybe it's a side hustle and you want to turn it into your real thing, it's like we have been there, absolutely. And like when I think of, you know, I wouldn't have batted my eyelid in the boardroom, fucking, you know, calling a CFO to task, you know, or or you know, taking the legal team on. It's like I would have never had any um, you know, issue with that. But then when I went through my awakening, when I had to change how I operated in my business and how I showed up in the world, oh my God, I was like Bambi on wobbly legs for ages, and I still have my moments. So, yes, 100%. Please, please, please. If you're waiting for a message, if you're feeling a bit uncertain about what you're doing, this is this is the direction we're heading in. This is where more and more people are seeking you out. Trust, they may not be battering down your door right now, but trust that they're coming. They're looking for you, they're just trying to find you.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely. Oh, I think that was a pretty cool rant. I feel like I need I almost needed to get that conversation out.
SPEAKER_00Yep, totally, totally. And for me to make sense of this, Sydney versus Ireland, because this is like I know every day I'm on the phone to you thinking, oh my god, this is happening. Oh my god, this is happening, because I'm seeing that duality, that kind of difference in the perspectives, but it's all similar in some ways. Like it's all still, like, yes, it's a different location, but the the issues people are facing are the same, and that shift that is so palpable is the same on both sides, all across the globe. Never mind both sides.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so this is slightly random because we've actually recording this on a completely different day and adding it onto the end of the episode. But after recording the conversation, we both walked away and we were thinking the same thing. There are so many incredible people in the spirituality, the wellness, mental health space. You guys are doing amazing stuff, and I know because I've been there that there are so many people struggling to actually grow what you do.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, absolutely. It's like there are people who are just struggling with, you know, getting visible out there outside of their little networks or getting, you know, they're overwhelmed by social media or marketing because it's not what they're comfortable doing. There's some people who are just incredible at helping people, but they don't know how to get the new clients. Like it's just really hard for them. Others are out there and they're established, they've got their business, they're up and running, but they know, like deep down inside, they just know that they're capable of so much more. And we also know that there's many, many, many talented people out there who are just scared to show up as themselves or to just put themselves out there and to promote themselves. And we get this because we've been there, like we're we're on that journey with you too.
SPEAKER_01And on the other side, because I've been there, there's so many people looking for really amazing people, like people that are great at what they do. Um, we're looking for real support, real recommendations from people that you can trust and a genuine community, obviously. And I have been there where I don't know where to look, and I'm sure you have too. You don't know who to trust, and you actually just don't know where to start because you don't want to just use Google. So, knowing all of this, we realize we don't just want to talk about this anymore. We want to do something about it. So we see the problem, we've been there. As an entrepreneur myself, when I see the problem, I really want to solve it. And I know that Diane is exactly the same.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. And this is where the conversation got to with us. The two of us were getting so frustrated, and we're like, oh my God, something needs to be done with this. And at the end of the day, we have an amazing community. Like, we are our podcast is out in over 90 countries. We have an audience that puts us on the two top 2% of podcasts globally. And, you know, we know that some of our listeners, you're both the, you know, the people who offer the types of services. So whether it's in spirituality, well-being, mental health, you're offering services out to people. But then on the other side, the rest of our listeners are all the people who are out there, as Liz mentioned, looking for those services. And we know this because we're constantly being asked for recommendations. We have people saying, Okay, do you know anyone who can do this? Can you find help me find someone? So we are now making it our mission to go and connect both of these groups of people together, which is why we are launching something called back yourself.
SPEAKER_01Woohoo! So today we are officially beginning the search for incredible practitioners in the spirituality, wellness, mental health space who are ready to put themselves out there and back themselves. So, this is for you if you've studied the modalities, you've done the training, you started the business, or you just know deep down that you're meant to be doing more with what you do. Okay. So whether you're just starting out to put yourself out there, you've already got a really established business and you're just ready to get it to the next level, you just want to connect with all of these people that are around the world and put a bigger spotlight on what you do. This is for you.
SPEAKER_00Oh. So for you, the listeners who've been joining along for a while, we are currently building the space. And this is a brand new community and not only a community, but a soon-to-be global directory designed to connect those people together with trusted practitioners, experiences, events, real conversations in spirituality, wellness, and anything in the personal growth space. So it's your time. If you're out there providing those services, cast your net wider. If you're out there looking for someone I know in Ireland, I was, you know, I'd look in my local area and I'd be thinking, oh my God, how come people in Australia don't know about it? Because they provide online services. It's like cast your net wider. This is just the beginning.
SPEAKER_01Yes. So if you're a practitioner listening to this, like, oh my god, I'm ready. Head to the Back Yourself page, enter your details, and you'll get VIP access to what we officially launch. Plus, this is a really big plus capital letters, extra exciting stuff around it. For the first time ever, we're gonna choose five practitioners to invite on the podcast for a special interview with Diane and I. Woo! She's gonna be awesome. Absolutely. Yeah, back yourself. And if you've been listening along and you know someone else that you always think, wow, they're so good, but they don't, they're not confident, they're not putting themselves out there. Nominate them, right? This is your chance, chance to actually give them a pat on the back and put them out there too. So it's gonna be pretty exciting.
SPEAKER_00Oh, definitely. And we know, like, we know there are such incredible practitioners out there. We want you to back yourself, and we will back you as well. So, all the links, everything you need to know will be in the show notes and they'll be on social media, they'll be in the space Facebook group as well. So, yes, come along.
