Everyone has something they wish they could change about themselves — and we’re no exception. This week, we talk about the personality traits, habits, and mindsets we’re trying to work on (or completely get rid of). Expect honest stories, a little self-dragging, and a conversation about what personal growth really looks like.

So what's your opinion on the whole Stefan Diggs and Cardi B situation, bruh? Who do you who do who you think who you think lucked up and who you think lost out? Man, I think she put a whole lot of shit into that, man. Like Stephon Diggs, he like he he had like what like five baby mamas or some shit? Bro, he had a he had a lot, man. She should have already known what the hell was gonna happen, like when she got with him. So you feel as though like I don't even think they were together. The writing was already on the wall. Basically, I don't even think they were together though. I think a publicity stunt? No, I don't think it was a publicity stunt. I just think that it was just uh like going out. They was just dating. Yeah, and a baby, you know, she came up with a baby. Didn't they find out like it wasn't his baby? Wasn't it offset's baby or some shit? Ain't it like half his baby, half offset or something? Man, I don't know. I can't keep up with the media shit, man. I don't, I don't, I don't know, man. I think um, I don't think neither one of them lost out. I don't think I think I feel like it was more like a publicity stunt myself, too. Seems like her her feelings hurt more than his. Oh, for sure, for sure. Because you gotta think these ball players, they what people don't realize, even with Klay Thompson and Meg the Stallion shit. What they don't realize, these aren't everyday people. Right. You know what I'm saying? People like, man, Klay Thompson messed up. He lost out on her. She's a prize, she this, that. Is she? I don't live in her house. I don't know her personally, but you know what I'm saying? But she, but she left. Well, she got into it with offset and left him or whatever. They're going through their drama because he was he was cheating, right? Yeah. Infidelity. Well, that's what that was. And then she got with a nigga with six baby mamas and that didn't truly commit to her, and then she wouldn't watch it in this situation. I think it's one of them, like you gotta kind of take heave to your warning signs. Like, it's not like he all of a sudden came out and, like, man, this now he showed you that's who he was the whole time. I think the Klay Thompson and Meg situation was a little different because even though I feel how I feel about Meg, I do think she loved Cuz for real, though. She probably did. She did love him. A lot of these motherfuckers love a nigga once they all ran through and shit, then they want to fall in love with somebody. But motherfuckers keep saying that, like, but he's not a what let me clear the air. He's not a regular nigga. They think that they trying to say that Meg made his career and shit. Bro, he was a four, he's a four-time bro, NBA champion. Hundreds of millions of dollars. I know he was born. That's what I'm saying. Just to kind of clear the air up, bro. We ain't gonna spend too much time on that, but Klay Thompson already had a name for herself before Meg Dastalin. Rich. And Meg Dastallion, even though she is a superstar, she's a regular, she she's nothing new to a NBA superstar. He's been rich his whole life. But anyway, welcome back to Facts and Foolishness. I'm your host, Tyler Coleman. This is my co-host Ashton Carter. Yo, um, had a big week, man. Definitely had a big week over the you know, past weekend. Just came back from Dallas, Texas, Dallas, Fort Worth, Texas. They're like, you know, side by side. It's like 15 minutes. Man, it was it's amazing, bro. Like, I can't even hold you. Um, you know, we were out there, we went out there to hang out with my cousin, you know, my kids' god mom, chill with her. So she showed us around. We uh viewed a um couple spots out there too, different real estate out there, just to kind of get a feel for what it would be like out there, bro. I love it. That should look dope, bro. I love it. Like the culture is so different in Dallas and in Fort Worth as well. You was telling me, like, what like elaborate on that? So when I say it's different, bruh, it's like the people are different, the environment's different. Like, like I know though, everybody knows the saying southern hospitality, but it's crazy. Just like people just they they talk to you out there. You could be in the grocery store, people uh just start talking to you more friendly out there. Yeah, they more friendly. Like people over here, like in Virginia, it's like you got, it's like we don't want to talk to each other. Like we we gatekeep information, we don't want to disclose anything, we keep everything, you know what I'm saying? Like it's just I feel like it's kind of weird. So when you get to those environments where, you know, like people are open and want to talk and get to know you and shit like that, it's kind of that's why they thrive out there, bro. They thrive because you can, you know, like minds, like-minded people come together and they kind of find themselves. It's more homey out there, it's way more homey, man. Like it's the love is yeah, the love you get because it ain't no love really out here, you know it. Like, you know what I'm saying? And around here, just like uh Fredericksburg area, it's so much gatekeeping coming going on. There's so many haters out there. I noticed that too. When I was in Tennessee, it's like the further you south you go, it's like yeah, people are more welcoming. You definitely have that southern hospitality out there, man. I love it though, man. And then we uh we went to Stockyards as well. Like, stockyards is amazing. Anybody that goes to uh the Fort Worth area, you gotta check out Stockyard, bro. That shit look dope, bro. They like if you're into like the country theme, like the country style, like you know, this old school saloons out there, you know what I'm saying? Get your hats, your your cowboy boots, everything. Like it's just a fun vibe. But they even walk uh the Texas Longhorns up and down the main strip right now for horseback riding. Everybody hang out, drinking a beer. Like it's it's just a different vibe. I would love to live out there. We actually are contemplating it. So uh that could be, you know, that could be a possible move in the future, man. But when the next time you go in out there just to chill, though, I'm trying to go. Oh, next time I go, you're definitely going, bro. Because this time, like, you know what I'm saying? I had the kids and we did like a family vacation and shit. So even though I had a blast, I still didn't really get to do nothing because I had the kids with me. So when I get to go back, like, you know, we're gonna go out there, we're gonna turn up for real. But you're gonna love it. You're gonna love it. First of all, you're gonna fit right in, and it's just gonna be it's gonna be refreshing because you're in a different area, first of all, but then you also you're gonna get a different vibe. It's it's it's welcoming, it's inviting, but you know what I'm saying? But it's so many different character traits out there, bro, which kind of brings me into my first topic of the day, since we're talking about you know the differences and character traits and shit like that. But what's one character trait that you wish you had? Like if you could pick, and it doesn't have to be physical, it could be, you know what I'm saying, like a physical character trait, it could be a you know, uh character trait about yourself, like something that you know you want to change, like mentally, whatever you think. Nah, yeah, definitely. Um shit, man. Ain't nobody perfect, and I'm far from the city. Nobody's perfect, man. I shoot. I I would like to be, I would like to be a better, like just a better person and all around. Like, I'd like to be a better partner. I like to be a better, a better friend, a better cousin. But elaborate on that. Like, what do you mean? What do you feel that you don't do? You know what I'm saying, that makes you want to be a better person. I mean, well, shit. You I feel like I feel like you you you great people. No, no, yeah, yeah. Cause you know what I'm saying. But this is a personal flaws. I got my flaws. Don't for sure not everybody, don't not everybody like me, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, but um I grew up. Hold on, hold on. Time out, time out, time out. Not to cut you off, but everybody not gonna like you anyway. Some people just hate on you just because you no, some people, I feel you, some people don't like me probably because of because of me. Yeah, not because of something they did, but you know what I'm saying? Because I'm not perfect, you know what I'm saying? For sure. Nobody's perfect, you know what I'm saying? But uh for the most part, I will say for the most part, I'm good people, you know what I'm saying? I'm not perfect, but but I'm good people, you know what I'm saying? Like I've made mistakes, but I just like to be a better, a better partner, a better cousin, a better friend, you know what I'm saying? I want to just be better. It's a lot of things inside of me that stops me from doing that. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? Because you know what I'm saying, a lot of a lot of issues, yeah. Growing up, you know what I'm saying? The way I grew up and stuff, just you know, different traumas and shit definitely holds up. I mean, so so if it was like a better trait, you know what I'm saying? I would want to be a better, overall better person. Overall better person, better, better son, you know what I'm saying? And I I I I definitely feel that. And um, the only statement that I would make, which you know, my statement don't matter regardless, because these are this is a personal question, shit that you feel. What about you though? But I'm gonna get to it, I'm gonna get to it. But I do want to say the only thing about that, like if you know you put your best foot forward in a lot of shit anyway, you can't help how people receive it. For sure. You know what I'm saying? So you so sometimes you could make it, and I'm not saying that you doing this, but sometimes you could feel like you need to do so much better just because people aren't receiving you the way that you mean they they could be receiving it in a fucked up way. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, and I and we can't go through life worried about a motherfucker liking us or or you know, because you know you put your you don't never do nobody, you don't wrong nobody. You don't have though to be honest, we're not talking about what you have done, we gotta worry about we gotta live in the now, you know what I'm saying? Right. So with everybody in a dish, I've I've wronged niggas too. Maybe make amends with my name. Yeah, like I've done I've done wrong, you know what I'm saying? You've done wrong, but I'd be damned if I let somebody judge me off my past and worry about their opinions. They do that anyways, but I feel you. But mine, yeah, what about you? Mine, like nobody is perfect in no way, shape, or form. Um, I do think for me, I think that I'm exactly who I'm supposed to be at this point right now in my life. Um, obviously there's there's different things that we can work on. Nobody's perfect. I got my flaws like anybody else, but our flaws is also who is what makes us us. I think that if I could pick one character trait about me, it's to continue to grow and have that stronger relationship with God. That's that's real good. I think that for me, yeah. I should have said that as well, too. Need to get closer to God. Yeah, I think for me and my my my walks with faith, like I know that I'm not perfect, and I thank God for everything that I have. Like, I mean, I've even said certain things on the on my podcast, but in my everyday life, but because I know the same way God gave it to me, God can take it away from me. Absolutely. And you know what I'm saying? He can bless me and wake me up every single day, and I can't take five minutes to praise him a little bit, to pray to him, just take five minutes out of my day to talk to him and say, just thank you, Jesus. You know what I'm saying? Thank you, God, for for blessing me, for waking me up today. So I think for me, for me, my character trait would be to build that stronger relationship with God, man. Because all this shit, none of this shit is possible without him. You know what I'm saying? Like, I've been blessed so much. Sure. And I know where I know what I'm headed for. You know what I'm saying? I know, I know I'm headed for for greatness, and I know because God wants all of us to be great. We just gotta be willing to put the work in. And you know what I'm saying? The Bible says, you know, prayer without work is dead. Amen. You know what I'm saying? So you can look, you can pray for everything that you want, but you gotta work towards it. And if you don't put the work in, you ain't gonna get nothing out of it. So once again, prayer without works is dead. And um, I definitely want to grow my my my faith, grow my relationship with God um a lot. Like, you know what I'm saying? Because there's so much more that we can do. And I say everybody can relate to that, but to kind of to kind of uh keep that part of the pod going with the traits, like who is a just so it's kind of relatable for people, like who's a celebrity that you feel has that trait that you said that you wish that you had? Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, and it could be any celebrity, it doesn't have to be, you know what I'm saying, not who you want to be if you could be any celebrity, but who's a celebrity that you think well that would be this will be the per the person I would want to be as well. So I would I would say like I would want the characteristics of LeBron James for the simple fact that he's been on top of his game and his career for all these years. And that's what no matter what you do, whether you're a fucking dump dump man, dumpster dude who pick up the trash on the side, if you're consistent and you do a good job, that's that's what he has been. And then off the court or out of his profession, he's just been a outstanding role model for the kid. He got his uh his his high school high school sweetheart that he's been with. And you ain't really never heard of no scandals with LeBron. I mean, I think in all my years, I've been following this man since I was a little kid. Yeah, for sure. And I think I've seen him get a speeding ticket, maybe. But he just like seemed like he brought all his childhood friends with him, made them rich, gave a lot of people opportunities. And that's just that's a that's a good thing. I can piggyback off of that because once again, and I'ma keep it 100. We don't we don't know none of these motherfuckers personally. So he for all we know, for all we know, he could be an evil motherfucker behind closed doors, but publicly he is he is a great role model. His record's clean, though. Yeah, he he has a clean record, he's like he got it uh it ain't no smut on his rap, like for real, for real. In in his in his profession and off the court, his records are flawless. Yeah, like nah, he for sure. He he's a and that's something to look up to, yeah, man. For sure. From a celebrity standpoint, yeah, definitely. And with his with those with that being said, the characteristics I would take after would be him. Okay, okay. There's nothing wrong with that. I like his characteristics, I like what he does, you know. For sure. Who about you? I think um mine's kind of hard to it's kind of hard to answer because if you think about it, all these celebrities, every time they win an award, every time they, you know, what's the first thing they do? I want to thank God. You know what I'm saying? But some of them, you know, is on some bullshit. God only comes in the equation when you win something. Yeah, for the thing. You know what I'm saying? They do it for the they do it for the speech. So it is, but my topics is gonna be a little controversial. Like, if I could pick a celebrity that had the trait, not who I want to be, right? You know what I'm saying, but had that trait, I would have to say a couple that I can list right off the bat would be um, it would be Justin Bieber and Kanye. Their traits? Not not that no, I'm talking about that has that trait that I spoke about, having that stronger relationship with God. Okay. Because think about it, Kanye West hit rock bottom. And when he was going, you know what I'm saying, people tried to say he was going crazy or whatever, he put God first in everything. He started doing his Sunday services. Justin Beaver, he he hit rock bottom. When all that shit was coming out with Diddy and all of them, they they wanted, they they have the the riches, they have everything. What happened with you know they you know they try to say they robbed a cradle on that nigga, man. Robbed a cradle? Yeah, what the hell is that? You know what I'm saying? Like when he was young, first getting introduced, they trying to say Diddy diddled him. I heard that, but that's true. Yeah, I I can't speak specifically on that because obviously, you know, but Justin he came out and he spoke about a lot of that shit that went on. I'm not saying about Justin Bieber, bro. I'm just saying, bro. It's a lot of stuff that went on behind closed doors that he's kind of being more vocal about, but it fucked him up. You know what I'm saying? It fucked him up. That's why Justin been kind of out the way. But notice these niggas got all these niggas got they got tons of money, they got the cars, the fame, everything. Right, and they're still unfulfilled. You know what I'm saying? And it makes them turn to God. So they have that that uh different, they have a different walk with life now. They don't care about the fame, they don't care about if he looks Kanye West, don't care about looking crazy. Kanye West, he he spits his truths, and he don't care what anybody says about it or what anybody thinks about it. You know what I'm saying? So you want that trait. I want that, I want that trait of just continuously growing your relationship with God. That's the trait that I want. I think I have that. I don't think I would change who I am because God made me exactly who I'm supposed to be. For sure. You know what I'm saying? But that's not that's not to say that there's not things that I could work on. Right. Everybody has something they need to work on. If anybody says that they're perfect, you're a goddamn lie. But like I have things you need to work on your relationship with God, basically. Yeah, I want to work on my relationship with God. You know what I'm saying? There's a ton of things that I could work on, but I think the most important thing, everything starts with God. If you don't, if if you don't grow your relationship with God, it's not gonna happen. Nah, for sure. That's that should have been my number one, but that that's definitely in there. No, for sure, man. Like it's the it's so many, because you can have it all. And like I said, the examples that I gave, Kanye and Justin, bro, these niggas got it all, bro. And you see where you see where they end right back up at. They end right back up, you know what I'm saying, focusing on God, their relationship. Man, I seen that shit, but I ain't I thought it was some bullshit, but I don't even know that, man. But it's so much stuff that bro that the industry is crooked. That's why I say, like, I had to give like a trait of what it seems like, you know what I'm saying? Of what, you know, what what seems to be what they're focused on as of right now. Like I said, we don't know these niggas. We don't know no celebrity. We don't care. All we see is what the media put out. We don't know none of these motherfuckers, man. So at the end of the day, this is just some this is just real shit. We just going off of what we what we what we see, you know what I'm saying, and people that have certain character traits that you, you know, that we wish that we could kind of have more of. And I I do think I have a great relationship with God, but that's something that you should constantly work on. You know what I'm saying? Definitely, definitely, yeah, man. But uh definitely this was definitely more so on the uh the fact side, you know, not as much foolishness on this particular episode, but I do want um, we're going to be making the pod a little more interactive. So starting, well, you want to like start next week, maybe? Don't matter, yeah. Starting, I think starting next week, make sure you guys follow us on Facebook and Instagram. Um, we're going to uh and I'll make sure we put our our socials in the link below the video. But um, I think we're gonna make this a little more interactive and we're gonna start putting polls and stuff on Instagram and Facebook. So, like when we have like we got some crazy questions that I think a lot of people, you know what I'm saying, would like to jump in on. And we're gonna make a post and we want y'all to comment your answer to whatever question it is that we have, and we're gonna read them on the pod, man. So you know what I'm saying? Make it uh make it fun, make it interactive. That's gonna make it that's gonna make it real interesting. Yeah, man, definitely. And it's also tell us who you guys would like to see us, you know. Obviously, we're growing, but who you would like to see on the pod. And if you would like to be on the pod, if you got something to bring, you know what I'm saying? We have a list of people that we do want to have on here, and that we we are going to have on here as well. But um, but yeah, man, let us know, man. And look, sit back and strap in because season two is get ready, is get ready drop, man. So y'all gonna be pissed.
