I Finally Went on Holiday Without Money Stress - Here’s What Changed
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
What if your skin business could continue making money even when you weren’t physically in the clinic? 👀
For 12 years of being self-employed, taking time off always came with financial stress. Before every holiday, I would spend weeks saving, squeezing extra clients into my diary and worrying about how I was going to cover the income I’d lose while I was away.
But this time was completely different - all because I had created additional income streams that weren’t completely dependent on me being in the treatment room 🙌
The day before my holiday, I created an e-book for skin specialists all about cortisol and the effect it can have on acne. It cost me nothing but 3 hours of my time, I didn’t even launch it across my social media, and it generated £750 in just three hours. The best part? That resource now exists forever and can continue making sales without me having to create it again.
In this episode, I’m breaking down:
✨ What passive income actually means
✨ How skin specialists can create it
✨ The different types of digital products you could sell
✨ How much money you could realistically make
✨ The systems you need running in the background
✨ Why your knowledge is more valuable than you realise
✨ How passive income can help make your business more “bomb-proof”
✨ The honest reality of creating income that isn’t tied to your treatment diary
I also share how my digital resources and virtual Acne Blueprint programme allowed me to go on holiday without money stress for the first time in my entire self-employed career.
This isn’t about giving up the clinic or making money without doing any work.
It’s about creating something valuable once, setting up the correct systems and allowing your business to continue earning while you’re treating clients, enjoying a day off, sleeping or lying beside the pool 🌴
If you’re tired of knowing that the moment you stop working, your income stops too, this episode might completely change the way you think about your skin business.

Hi guys, and welcome back to this week's episode of The Skin Distry. So, as I said last week, this week we're gonna cover passive income and my experience with passive income so far. Passive income is something that's becoming such a huge conversation within the industry, and I feel like while it is talked about a lot, no one really talks about what it is or how to do it. It feels kind of gate kept, or you have to buy a course to know how to do it. So I'm gonna spill a few of the secrets. For as long as I've been in the industry, which is 12 years, our income has been directly tied to our time. So if you're not physically in the clinic or the salon or whatever, you aren't earning money. We can't earn any money unless we're physically working with a client. So there's a glass ceiling on your earning potential. This has always made, especially for me as well, like I don't know if this is something that everybody feels, but it's made holidays, being unwell, any sort of unexpected time away from work, feeling so stressful because you're losing out on money. If you take a day off, that's however much money lost. And you know, I will not take a sick day. Like I could literally be on my deathbed and I'm still coming into work because the stress around doing that and the stress around the money lost and all of that is just too much. Whereas now I feel so much more settled in my work and my routine. I've dropped days, I do less work now, so I currently only work three or four days a week. As I now dedicate one of my days off to admin, because this was something I was really struggling with as well, because I was working so much in clinic. I was struggling to then keep up with everything else on top of that, or the admin or the bank stuff, or you know, just everything that we have to do outside of physically working on clients. I was drowning. So I had to just go, right, enough's enough now. I need an extra day off, and that is going to be my admin day. So I dropped that earlier this year, and it's been one of the best things I've ever done. The productiveness I have had since doing that and having an allocated day, I get so much done. Like, yes, I do admin on other days, and you know, if I have a gap in my diary or a cancellation or whatever that I don't fill, that's admin time for me. That's I'll film content, I'll, you know, catch up on my accounts, I'll catch up on any courses that I'm doing, I'll catch up on my emails, I'll do anything that needs doing for the behind the scenes of the business, that's when I will do it. And then my Tuesday as well is my day for my acne program check-ins and just anything else that needs doing and I have time for. So the way that I look at work now and the way that I look at looked at work, even a year ago, it just couldn't be more different. I feel like I'm in such a better place with it, and I feel less controlled by my business and more like I control the business because of these things I have begun to implement and these systems that I have now, and as well as then the things that I've, you know, done within the physical part of the business, like price increases and cutting out treatments that I don't want to do and aren't benefiting me, this has all like really come together now, and I feel like I am in the best place I've ever been with work and my personal life and all of that. Like I just have so much more time and freedom. It's just crazy how something as simple as this can give you that. So, for anybody that doesn't know what passive income is or hasn't heard of passive income before, this basically allows you to create something once and then continue selling it without repeatedly exchanging your time for money. So, whether that's something like an ebook or a course or a masterclass, it's something that once you have made it, that's it. You can have it set up on a system and it will just consistently sell with zero input from you. You don't need to do anything with it, it just makes you money. This obviously sounds too good to be true, and I used to think that was the case. I used to think there's no way that you could earn that much money from doing this, like it's a load of shit. It's just these people that are coaches that you know are using, oh, make £10,000 in your sleep, blah, blah, blah, to sell you their coaching course that is gonna do fuck all for you. But it is true, it's just how you do it and what your expectations of it are. I think, yes, while some people can earn £10,000 in your sleep, it's not realistic for everybody. And depending on your audience and your niche and your following and all of that sort of stuff, we have to be realistic with what our expectations are with it, and you can build on it and build on it and build on it, and then eventually you might make £10,000 in your sleep. Like there's no saying that that's not a possibility for you, it just might not be a possibility with the very first piece of passive income you create. So with the creating the passive income, you still need to put the work into creating it and setting up the systems and then marketing it and launching it, but then after that, you don't need to be physically present every time somebody purchases it, purchases it. So, examples of passive income for skin specialists are ebooks for clients, ebooks for other skin specialists if you're wanting to go more down the sort of educator route. You've got educational resources for other skin specialists as well, like online courses, pre-recorded masterclasses. You could even do master classes for clients as well, depending on your niche. You've got templates, guides, downloadable resources, so you could even branch out into selling skin plan templates or content templates like in Canva or anything like that. You've then got, which this I think isn't entirely passive and is something I do, but it's a lot easier than working in clinic. So then that's virtual programs. So I have my acne program, I have both an a virtual one and I've now launched, well, I haven't actually launched it yet, but I will get into that. A in-clinic one as well, which is basically the exact same protocol as my virtual program. They just get a monthly treatment with it as well. So the importance of having correct payment delivery and email systems running in the background so people can purchase and receive everything without your manual input is also super, super important. And there are loads of ways that you can do this as well. Going back to your income from your clinic, when all of your income comes from treatment, like I said before, your earning potential is there's a glass ceiling, like there's a point that you will reach that you then can't get past it. And I reached this point in my business two years into it. So I started my I opened my first salon 10 years ago this year, and I did that for two years. It was just me on my own. I just had a room and I worked from there. And within two years, I was fully booked all day, every day for weeks in advance. And I was at that point for quite a long time, and I thought, right, I've reached my glass ceiling here, I can't do any more. So my next port of call, which was and still seems to be to some point the sort of goal for a lot of people, was to open my own salon and then have staff because then I would get money from them coming in as well. So you're restricted when it's just you on your own, you're restricted by the number of hours you can physically work. Like we only have a finite amount of time, and we also only want to be working a finite amount of time as well. You know, you don't want to be burning yourself out, you don't want to be doing 12-hour days every single day because there gets to a point where that is the only way you can earn more money is to just work more because you can only fit so many people in a day, and then that negatively impacts your energy and your like physical capacity. You'll start to see the burnout signs, you'll start to be exhausted, you'll have no time for a personal life, your, you know, personal and romantic relationships might take the hit. It's great. And when we love our jobs the way that, you know, a lot of us skin specialists do, it is our passion. We do want to do it all the time. We want to be in clinic, we want to be helping people, we want to be doing the thing that we love, but we also have to have a point where we say no, I can't do anymore. And then there's also holidays and you know, having days off every week that we need. We can't work seven days a week, it just isn't feasible to do forever. So then when we're looking at this in a whole package, there really is a lot of things that are holding us back at that point. I used to dread going on holidays. Like I love going on holiday, it's one of my favourite things to do. But as a self-employed person, it it feels just so stressful. I would book the holiday and I would just immediately start panicking about it and just thinking, oh god, that's a full week with no wages. So not I'm in not am I only losing a full week's wages. I I'm going away, so I'm gonna be spending money. The same bills are still gonna be coming out, so I'm still gonna owe the same amount of money at the end of the month. I'm just gonna have lost a full week's wage. So, how am I gonna cover that? Like, where does that money come back from? Obviously, yes, you get those clients that would be in that week, in somewhere else, but it does have a knock-on effect. You, you know, you're having a week with no income. That used to stress me out to no end, and it would make me feel like I don't want to book a holiday because of the way it would make me feel. It didn't feel like a fun thing to do. So I would then make sure that I'm absolutely cramming my diary full the week before I go and the week that I get back. So then by the time I'd got back from holiday, well, by the time I'd got to the holiday, I was exhausted because I'd just done a week of the double the amount of clients I would usually do, and I was already super busy. And then I'd have my nice relaxing week away, I'd get back, and I'd have another crazy busy week. So by the end of that week, it felt like I'd not even been away and I was just exhausted again. So it's really, really difficult to be able to switch off when you know your business has stopped earning money the minute that you leave that clinic. And this is where I had got to the point, obviously, it's quite late on, like I'm 10 years into being a business owner, and I thought, no, like I need to start looking into this passive income situation because I can't keep going the way that I am, and I also don't want to. Like, I turned 30, I don't want to be stood behind the bed doing clients all day, every day to earn every penny I make for another 10 years. Like, I I always want to do skin. Like, I don't think I'll ever stop doing treatments because I do love doing treatments, and that is my like passion and where my passion started. But also, I can also help people not doing treatments, like with my virtual program. I've got clients on there that I've never seen, I've never met, and I've cleared their acne. So I don't need to be physically in clinic to do that. And then also for me, the other side of the coin is other skin specialists. I know that that is something I want to pursue, and you know, doing training and coaching and things like that. So this is where I thought, right, I need to delve into this world and find out how I can really niche this down for myself and create things that are gonna really support me, and just also how to do that, like with the systems and how to properly launch something like that and all of the above. So, as you all know, and I've spoken about a million times, and obviously had her on the podcast, I am doing Lauren Johnson's The Profit Path program. So that's her entire six-month programme about passive income and how to do it and all of the above. So I started that at the beginning of June, and since then, I think I've made about £4,000 in passive income. So in two months, I have boosted my income by £4,000. It might actually be more. I do need to sit out, sit and work it out, but roughly off the top of my head, I think it's about £4,000. That's insane. Like that normally would take me two weeks to make. Two full weeks. Yes, it's taken me, you know, two months, but the amount of work that I've actually put in to achieve that is not two weeks' worth of work. So my first piece of or my first like sort of towed it into passive income was my virtual acne programme. This isn't fully passive because obviously I do have to still work with them. It is one-to-one. I'm doing a check-in with them every week. They will send me questions and stuff throughout the week, but for the most part, on a Tuesday, I will put their check-in together once they've sent me their check-in forms and everything that I need to know for the week. I will sit, I will write out their action plan for the week, and then that's it. I don't have to do anything for another week. This is what my Tuesdays are for, my check-in and my admin, and then that's done. Setting that up is something I've won. I wanted to start an acne program for probably about two years now. I just, I had a lot of imposter syndrome around it, I won't lie. I could not work out for the life of me how I was gonna clear someone's acne without ever seeing them. Like I just didn't feel like I had the knowledge, I didn't believe that I had the knowledge, didn't know how to even set that up, like how the payments would work, how I would make it, you know, affordable for people, how I would give people the information, all of the above, like just everything included with that. I just thought I want to do it, I just don't know how. Me and Lauren had one call and I then went and set up my virtual programme and launched it within a couple of weeks. And on the intake, I did, I had two people signed up when the program actually launched on the 1st of June. And I was a bit disappointed with that because I felt like I had, you know, really gone all in with the launch, but then there was also sort of other reasons behind that where I knew I'd sort of fallen short with it, which I can explain at another point. But since then, and since I've really worked on things and I've been changing my sort of target audience and changing my content and the way that I put things out, I have had so many more sign-ups, like it's actually insane. I'm at the point where I think I might have to close my intake for it because I need to make sure that I do have enough time to give to each client because it is a one-to-one thing. I do need to have time available to give to that person. It's a big investment for a client to make. My virtual program is £600 and my in-clinic program is £924. Like, that's a lot of money for somebody to invest in me. So I need to make sure that I do have the time to be giving them the best experience. So that isn't entirely passive, but a big chunk of it is because I've made a lot of the content that I give to the clients already. I've created an online like education portal for the clients to work through at their own pace. And there's loads of information on there about all sorts of things that can help with their skin. It's all things I go through with clients. So there's building new habits, there's nervous system stuff, there's nutrition stuff, there's gut health stuff, just literally everything that I would talk to them about. I have created content and put it into the portal so that if I explain something to them and they're not quite understanding it or they feel like they need more information on it, I can point them and say, Hey, it's in the portal. Go to this section and it's in there and just have a little work through of that on your own time. And then if you still have questions, you can come back to me and I'll help you out even more. But usually the portal is more than enough for them. So that's my like first sort of chunk of like passive income money. But my the only piece of fully passive income that I've created currently is an ebook that was for skin specialists. So I made this the day before I went on holiday. I woke up in the morning and I thought, right, I want some more money for going on holiday. Let's see what this, you know, ebook situation's like and how passive can we really make it. So I got up, got on my laptop, created this ebook in three hours. It was just information that I already knew, put the ebook together, done. It was literally done on Canva. I set up all my automation for it. So I used Stripe for my payments, so I set up my Stripe link so that then when somebody purchased it, the ebook was, it came up instantly for them so that they could then save it. This took me three hours to make. It cost nothing but my time. It was on a subject that I talk about a lot and feel like is not talked about enough within the industry. So I talked about cortisol and the effect it can have on acne and how it can trigger acne and just everything about that that would help a skin specialist treat somebody with acne who has high cortisol or just has quite a stressful life or says that they feel quite stressed. I didn't launch it on socials. I only shared it inside Skin and Kin because I thought I don't have time to do a full launch. I've literally made this today, so I'm not gonna half-arse it and just whack it on socials because then it'll flop. So I thought I'll put it in Skin and Kin and see how that goes, thinking a handful of people would buy it. I also put a discount on it for the Skin and King girls. So I had a discount code for £10 off, so it made it £35. Yeah, it was £35. There was £20 of those discount codes. So when those discounts ran out, that was it. The £20 were gone and it was back up to full price at £45. In three hours, that ebook generated me £750, which to me was insane. I was literally sat watching the payments come in with my partner. We were sat, we were watching a film, and every single time I get a notification on my phone to say a payment come in, I'd be like, oh my god, another one. And she'd be like, oh my god, that's amazing. And then we every I just thought, oh my god, she's gonna get bored of me. Like each time I was like, ugh. And I can't remember how many people, I think it was 21 people bought it that day, which for the first one, only launching in the group, I thought, well in, like, that's sick. 750 pounds for doing basically nothing was also unreal. So that was an extra 750 pounds for me to take on holiday. And it meant that the entire time that I was there, I just didn't have to think about anything. I didn't have to think about work. I didn't have to think about money. I'd obviously saved some money already to take with me, but that extra 750 pounds on top of the money that I'd earned, you know, before going away, just gave me that buffer to be like, right, well, I that's it. I don't need to do anything. I can go away. I can have and do what I want while I'm here. I don't have to think, oh God, I I shouldn't be buying that. That's too much money, or I shouldn't, you know, maybe I'll not have a starter on a main course and I'll just have a main course because I can't really afford it. I had whatever I wanted. I bought a pair of Prada sunglasses at the airport, which, you know, they weren't cheap, and just had and did whatever for the whole holiday. And it was the first time I'd been on holiday and not thought about money once. It was life-changing. And to say that about like an ebook sounds so dramatic, but for me it was such a huge thing. I could actually just enjoy my holiday and not have to work. I didn't post on socials, well, I posted on the story, but only, you know, holiday stuff. I wasn't trying to sell anything. I didn't post on the grid the entire time I was away. I did my check-ins for my acne program while I was there because at that point I only had two people on it, so you know, it wasn't a massive chunk out of the day. I just sat by the pool while I did it and you know, living the dream. Like, what do you mean I can sit on my laptop in Spain by the pool in the sun and work? Like, sorry, that's crazy to me. That now, like that taste of it, I need more. Like, I need more of that. Like, this has given me such a push and a kick, and I also know that I can help other people do this as well. I just need to really get as much experience doing it myself so then I can help other people. But I thought that's why I'll do this episode because I can give you what I know now, and then when I find out more, you'll know about it too. So I think as skin specialists, we really do underestimate how much like valuable knowledge we have. We have trained for, you know, years, however long you have been in the industry for. Obviously, in my case, I've been in the industry for 12 years. Like, that's a long time and a lot of knowledge. And I have done tens of thousands of pounds worth of training and courses and masterclasses to be where I am now. And all you need to do is just answer the questions that clients or other skin specialists are asking you in something like an ebook or a masterclass or a course or a downloadable resource. That's it. You don't need to know anymore. You just need to use the information you have and make it so that you can sell it. That's that's it. You don't need to create something huge. Huge. My ebook was, I think, maybe like 16 pages. It's just making something that is a focused thing, solving one specific problem that's so valuable to the right people. And it's just making sure that you're really, again, leaning into your audience, finding your niche, and going for that. If you don't know who your audience is or what your niche is, you will probably struggle with the passive income side. So that is your first port of call. As always, I'll die on this hill. I will keep beating this horse. You need to find out who your niche is and create your target audience and only market to them. And then when you create your passive income, you can create that for those people and it will be so much easier to sell. You also don't need hundreds of thousands of followers to have passive income. I've got just over 5,000 followers on Instagram. I'm no by no means am I an influencer or, you know, anyone big. But if you have your community and your audience that trusts you and your offer is useful, relevant, and placed in front of the right people, it will sell. That's it. So that's the top and bottom of it. It just needs to be something that people want and something that your people want. So whether you're doing it as, you know, a client-focused thing or whether you're going to go more skin specialist focused, you just need to find out what it is that people want and give it to them. You don't have to give away every piece of knowledge you have either. You can use your resource, whatever it is that you create, to deliver a really clear outcome while then still leaving space for your like higher-level services, or if you're going to do a course or mentoring or coaching or whatever. You don't have to give everything in an ebook. You can save that for a bigger course and you can actually use your ebook to upsell to your bigger course. You don't need to create an ebook that's 110 pages long and sell it for 40 quid because that's not worth it. You give them, you know, a good chunk of the knowledge. It needs to be worthwhile, but then also leave them wanting more if you're doing it, you know, for skin specialists or clients, if you're trying to sell your program or a course or whatever it is, give them something and then say, if you want, you know, more of this, join this. And that's going to then help you upsell your larger, um, like your higher ticket things. So when you're looking at creating passive income, this is exactly how I would break it down. So find the problem. What's the problem that you're looking to solve with your resource? So is it you know something that people are asking you all the time or something you're seeing in the industry a lot or anything? So take if you're gonna do for clients, so your niche for argument's sake, let's say is Accneef, because that's mine and it's easy for me to think of. You're getting a lot of clients that are coming to you and they're asking you, I am using all the right skincare, I'm doing all the things diet-wise, but I don't know what makeup I should be using. I think it's my makeup that is breaking me out. If multiple people are asking you the same question, create an ebook on what makeup is actually safe. Doesn't have to be high ticket. You could literally sell it, it could be less than £10 or £10, but that then will sell over and over and over again. That £10 could in the end become £10,000, you know? Like, let's reach for the stars here, guys. But it doesn't have to be a high-ticket thing. Mine wasn't a high ticket thing. Mine was £35 and it made me £750 in three hours. So then after you've decided what the problem that you're gonna solve with your resource is, decide exactly who the resource is for. So is it for your clients, is it for the general public, or is it for other skin specialists? And then choose your format. So you want to choose your format that suits the information. So whether you're gonna do an ebook, a pre-recorded masterclass, a mini course, or like a downloadable toolkit thing. Like a Canva, what's the word? Template, and then make sure that you're keeping your very first one quite simple. Like you don't want to overwhelm yourself as your first thing. So I would do start with an ebook and go from there because they're so easy to make. You can make them completely branded to yourself, and it's easier than creating a whole course straight away. So you would make your ebook, you would, you know, cover whatever you wanted to cover in the ebook, make it, brand it, finish it off. Once you're happy with it, that's that's your resource ready then. And then you want to set up a couple of things. So you can either have a sales page or a landing page. So either or this is where you would send someone to then sign up to buy it, basically. So you can use there's loads of different websites you use. I use MailChimp for mine because that's who I use for my emails. There are other ones out there, obviously, don't have any personal experience with them because I use MailChimp. You then want to set up an automated payment process. So there are a couple of different ways you can do this as well. You could use a platform for this. So I know there are things like Thrivecart, Stand Store, all of these sort of like host websites that you can use to sell products. I currently don't use any of them. I am looking into for the more sort of like things that I make. I'm just gonna add them all into one place. I just use Stripe. So I set up a Stripe payment list and Stripe payment link, sorry, and then connect my product to that so that then once once they've paid, they get the product sent to them straight away. And then that's your next part is your immediate delivery. So if you're using something like Stan Store or Thrivecar or anything like that, that will be built into that portal. So you'll be able to set that up on there. With Stripe, you do have to do it a little bit differently because of the way it works, and it it is pretty easy to set up if you know how to do it. But if you don't and you do want me to help you with that, just message me. And then a couple of things that you can do after but aren't absolutely necessary, are follow-up emails. So checking in on them, trying to get feedback from them, because then you can use your feedback on your socials to show you should buy this too, like to sell it basically, and an ongoing marketing plan. So, kind of the same thing you want to be showing people this is these are the people that bought my ebook, and this is what they've done since doing that. Any success stories, what they said about it, feedback, etc. etc. Once all these systems are created and set up, the sales just go through then and you don't need to do anything else. It just runs automatically in the background, which what a dream. Like technology, what what a time we live in that you can just do this and set this up for yourself and then make money. It's it's crazy to be honest. Like, there was none of this when I started in the industry, like couldn't do any of it, didn't do any of it. I just had an Instagram page and a dream, literally, just winging it. Whereas now there is so much you can do, it's just about organizing yourself and actually getting it set up. A lot of people sort of want to know how much you can make with passive income. And this is kind of an impossible question to answer because there isn't a guaranteed number, nor is there a limit on how much you can earn. It depends on the price, the audience, the demand, the visibility, and how well your resource actually solves a problem. So, for example, my £750 in three hours is what can happen with a relevant offer and the right audience. I don't have a huge audience. I also didn't use my social media audience to sell this, I just put it in the Skinning King group chat. Haven't launched it on my social shit. I actually don't know why, I just haven't got around to it. And it's it still made me money. So if you think with, you know, things that you could create. So if you made an ebook and sold it for £25, if you sold 20 copies of that a month, that's an extra £500 for you. Or if you made a masterclass, you know, demonstrating how to do something for clients and that was £49 and you sold 10 places for that, that's £980. That's like a cash injection. That's nearly a thousand pounds from a little masterclass that you've made. Or if you make a mini course for £99 that a client or skin specialist can work through and you sell 10 places, again, £990. That's insane. Like that's a crazy amount of money. That's a big injection of cash. These things just sit alongside your clinic income as well. You're not losing any money from the clinic in doing this, you're still making the same amount of money, but these are just adding on to that. They're just giving you that extra little boost behind the scenes. The goal also with this doesn't need to be replacing your clinic or your clinic income. You can still carry on doing treatments with passive income. Like you don't, this isn't about us, right? I don't want to work behind, you know, the bed anymore. I don't want to do clients anymore, so I'm just gonna start making ebooks. Doesn't work like that. Obviously, it can if that's how you wanted it to go, but it won't be an overnight thing. It will take work and you will need a lot of systems in place and a lot of offerings and building up that audience for you to be able to do that. But that is possible. You can do that. I'm not, you know, at all saying that you can't, but this could be the difference between you having a holiday and not having a holiday. This could pay for your holidays, it could pay for your time off, and it could pay for what you spend while you're away. Like that's the difference that this could make. You could take your family away, or you could go on a really nice holiday with your partner, or buy a new car, or put a deposit down on a house, or whatever your goal is, you can use that. You can use passive income to achieve that alongside working in your clinic. So you're not working anymore to earn this money, is the point that I'm getting at. This isn't taking you any extra time except for the setup and the creation of the actual resource. This basically makes your business bomb-proof because it gives your business more than one way to make money. If you, you know, needed time off or you were ill, or if you had, you know, a bit of a quiet spell at work. We all know that there are quiet months. If you have your passive income set up, this means that in those times, your entire business doesn't just stop earning money. Your clinic treatments, any like virtual programs or anything, and then digital products can all support different parts of the business and support you having any time off that you need to have off for whatever reason. And having these systems in place means that sales and the delivery of the sales and the product can continue while you're treating clients, having a day off, chilling at home on the sofa, sleeping on holiday, if you're off sick, if your kids are sick. This isn't about abandoning your clinic, it's about just alleviating that pressure on you and your hands and your diary to create every single penny that you make. And this is why so many people are jumping on this and really making quite silly amounts of money from it. Like it there's no ceiling with it, is the point. There's no stopping point because it doesn't require more time. And I don't want you to, you know, have listened to this and think, oh god, this sounds too good to be true. Because I was the exact same. Like, I'm not gonna lie, I was like, oh god, these people are like passive income, passive income, shut up. But it does still require work at the beginning. Obviously, you have to create the products, you have to set up the systems, you have to put the work in, and you need to create something valuable and build the system and continue to market it. Like doing this doesn't mean that you're gonna just make an ebook, upload it online, and thousands of people are gonna flock to buy it. It doesn't work like that. That you have to keep it relevant, you have to keep selling it and keep, you know, creating awareness around it and make sure that your systems work and just everything behind the scenes is working as it should. The point of the passive part is that the product can be purchased and then delivered without you having to then personally fulfill every single sale. You've got your system set up. Once that goes live, somebody can go on, purchase it, and it just gets sent to them automatically. The automations is where the passive part comes in. And once these foundations have been created, so once you start to create these systems and the maybe the portal or whatever it is that you're going to use to sell your passive income, you can then just keep on improving and adding to that rather than having to constantly start from zero. So once you have your stand store set up, for example, you don't need to set a stand store up every single time you want to put a new product on it. You've set it up. All you need to do is create the product, put it on, set up the automations for that specific product, done. But because you've already set them up for the other one, you'll probably have like a template or something that you can just sort of copy and paste onto the new one. So I don't want this to come across as, oh my god, yeah, this is the easiest thing I've ever done. It takes literally no work. It does. It does take work, it takes some commitment, it takes some motivation to actually do it and get it all set up and get it going. You have to launch it. You can't just randomly, you know, decide one day, right, I'm gonna do something completely different that I've never done before, and then chuck it on socials and expect to sell hundreds. It just it doesn't work like that. Even though I decided on the day, right, I'm gonna make this e-book. I thought about what I was gonna make it about, and I thought about my audience. And I know that the girls in Skin and Kin trust me and trust my knowledge and are always happy to learn from me. So I knew that there would be girls in there that would, you know, benefit from this and that would want to buy this. So it's not that I just woke up one morning and decided I'm gonna do this and I'm gonna just wing it. While it felt a little bit like I was winging it, I knew my audience and I knew what I was doing for them and what they were gonna gain from it, and that's where the money comes from. It's having that target audience and creating the product that they need and want. So basically, if you have knowledge and experience that other people want, you can profit from that. You don't need to wait till you've got a massive following or loads of clients or built an enormous course to earn money passively. Just start with one specific problem, make one actually useful resource, and then build a really simple system around it to deliver it. Passive income genuinely has changed the way I view my business because I'm no longer tied to that bed to create an income for myself. And that is insane to me because it feels like one of those you can't teach a dog an old dog new tricks. But for me, like I'm like, whoa, why have I not done this like sooner? What have I been doing? But now that I've done it, my eyes are open and wow, we'll be doing more, we'll be doing more. Obviously, I've mentioned on here previously that I do have like a bigger course coming later in the year, and yeah, there's gonna just be so much in it that it's basically gonna be like this podcast, but on steroids. On steroids. I can't even fathom the amount of information I'm gonna put in it, but yeah, I'm just so grateful to Lauren for helping me like put all of this together as well. Like it's been such an eye-opener and literally life-changing. Like, it sounds dramatic to say, but it's it is life-changing, and yeah, I'm just glad that I get to share it with you guys too. So I hope all of that has made sense and you have found this helpful and has maybe given you the kick up the arch you need to actually make that product that you've been thinking about making that you keep putting off because it really when you break it down, it really is quite simple. You just have to do the steps that I mentioned before and you know, create it, make sure you're doing it for your target audience, market it well, have a good system set up, launch it. That's it. So if you do have an idea in mind of something that you're wanting to launch, but you're not quite sure how you want to do it or where you want to sort of have it or host it or anything like that, give me a message. We can set up a one-to-one call and we can get you a full strategy outlined and plan in place for you to go ahead and launch your passive income because genuinely this has changed my life and I feel like it will just change so many other people's lives as well, as long as it's done correctly. So if you've got an idea of something you want to do, but you just want a little bit of help with it, you know where I am. Give me a message, we'll get a call booked in. I do have really, really, really, really limited availability in August with me. I'm going away again, and I'm because I'm away, I am really, really busy as well. So bear that in mind. If you want a call, get it booked ASAP. Also, because I'm away next week. I am gonna try and record a podcast episode this week as well before I go, so that I can get one out while I'm there. And we only have a week break this time because it was three weeks last time, and that's just a real long time, you know. So I'm gonna try and get one recorded this week. I do have a really busy week, but I'm hoping that I can squeeze it in somewhere, and then you'll get one next week while I'm on holiday, and then there'll not be one the following week because I fly back on the Monday and I'm not I won't be recording one the following week, and I don't think I can squeeze two in this week either. So thank you for listening as always. If you have enjoyed it or found it helpful, I always love when people reach out and tell me what they thought of it or tag me in your stories. That's also super helpful because it means that other people will see it and we can, you know, get the pod even further out. And yeah, I hope everyone has a gorgeous week and has taken some good little nuggets of information from this one. And I will see you next week.
