Throughout this land today there are men who have heard their call. They are faithful ministers, God's watchmen on the law. There is a fact of crown commandment, heaven, unless these faithful men.

Welcome to the Watchman's Call. We invite you to study with us the ancient prophecies of the Bible and witness their fulfillment in our modern times. How many times have we heard people say, we just don't see miracles and healings like we used to? Or we don't see them like our grandpa and our grandma told us about how they seen them. And most of the time it's church folks that's asking and talking about these things. And that, folks, is an awesome thing that the church people are asking these questions. See, people really want to know. Maybe we ought to be asking, why don't we see all these things anymore? Well, to get to that answer, we're gonna have to open up our Bibles and take a long walk back through time. I mean, we gotta go back before Jesus, we gotta go back before King David, even back before the flood. We gotta go searching and digging to get that special answer. So if you're ready, get on your spiritual backpack, grab your pick and shovel, and join us as we travel all the way back to Genesis. Now, in order to see and actually experience these miracles and healings, we have to be able to witness supernatural events that manifest through natural bodies. So with that understanding, let's go to Genesis chapter one and start at verse 28. Then God blessed them and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it. Very important, and subdue it, have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth. Now let's think about that for a minute. Over every living thing that moves on the earth. Before we go any farther, let's just see what subdue means. We look that up and it says to overcome or to quieten or to bring under control. And that could be like a feeling, that can be a person, that could be an animal, it could be a thing. To subdue something is to take total control over it. Here's a good example. How many of y'all ever had rats in your house? Little field mice, they come in in the wintertime. If you set a trap out and you catch a rat, what happened is you just subdued that rat. Now you have dominion over it. And because it was in your house, you have authority over it. Now you decide what happens to it. That is a, I mean, that's just real simple, but it's a countryfied uh example of how to subdue something. And that's what God, yeah, that's what God told us to do. That's what he told Adam and Eve to do. Subdue it, have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, over every living thing that moves on the earth. One thing we have to really understand is that dominion and authority that includes every disease, every sickness, every broken heart, every physical problem like blindness, mental problems, addictions, crippled bodies, natural things too, like the wind and the water and the land. All things that breathe and breed on this earth were to be subdued by mankind. Now, see, at that time when God spoke that, Adam didn't really know about diseases. He didn't know about pestilence, he didn't know about a lot of this stuff, but God knew what was coming. And at that point, God had given mankind, like we said, the supernatural dominion and authority over every single thing on this planet. Everything had to obey mankind. So what happened what stopped that supernatural authority? From just about everybody we've talked to, and probably folks that y'all may have talked to, everybody told me, well, when Adam fell and sin come into the into the world, that authority was removed from man is because of sin. And again, that's what I've always heard, that's what I've always believed. But what if that's not true? What if we can prove that dominion authority that God gave man was never really taken away from this planet? So let's just make a quick note here. When God said that, Adam would learn pretty soon exactly what God meant by taking authority, not just over the animals, but over disease and stuff.

That's right, because see, God spoke it before Adam understood it. First off, in the garden, and at that point when God spoke those things to Adam, the sickness and disease and all the things that we deal with today were not there during that time.

That's right, that's right. So let's look at a couple of scriptures to back up or to prove that God did not take that authority away, okay? Look, we're gonna look in the New Testament at John 10 10, and it says, the thief does not come except to steal, kill, and to destroy. John 10 verse 10. Revelation 12 and 9 describes Satan as the serpent that deceives the whole world. He uses temptations, false doctrines, and distractions to trick all of us. See, his main game plan is to twist a truth to cause people to doubt God's word, to doubt his power, and to doubt his love for us. Now, John chapter 8 and 44, Jesus calls the devil the murderer from the beginning. You see, the truth is sin didn't remove the dominion and the authority that God gave mankind, but Satan used that sin to deceive us into believing that God actually had taken it away. So Satan actually blocked man from using the authority by using our guilt and our shame against us. But, folks, the good news is that he didn't and he couldn't deceive everybody.

All right, we're gonna walk out of the garden, if you will, and I want to walk up to Paul. Walk up to the time when Jesus sent Paul as an ambassador to a people, and some of these were the same people that knew Paul before, the same ones that had been pursued and persecuted by him. And Jesus gave Paul the authority to act in his authority, not in his own authority. Paul wasn't no longer walking in Paul, he was walking in the authority that Jesus gave him. So at that time, that authority was restored, and and it I'm sure it was restored. We go on back into some of the message. But just thinking about Paul and thinking about the New Testament, how Paul being the ambassador of Christ to a people that knew him when. I don't if you don't understand it, if you're born again, you've got something to do. You've got a calling on your life. God don't call you just to let you sit on a stump for the rest of your life and do nothing. There's lost people around you. There's lost people you'll you'll run into on the streets or out in the world, or you got lost family members. And I understand that we're usually prophets without honor in our own country around the people that knew us when. Ask Paul. Think about the ones that knew him when. They run like a scalded dog when they saw him coming because they feared for their life. Wasn't that the Paul that killed all these people? Wasn't that the Paul that did this or that? Paul no longer went in the power of his own authority. He was walking as a new man. He was walking in the power and authority of Jesus Christ. You know, most of us know what a power of attorney is. It's like having that power of attorney or the authority to act on somebody else's behalf. If you give somebody a power of attorney, you're allowing that person to be you virtually, to act on your authority and act on your behalf, to use their name to transfer that legal document or that whatever you need that power of attorney for. And that also means being a representative. You may know somebody that's a representative payee on a like a social security account for somebody that's too young or they're disabled or whatever the situation is in their life, they may be drawing a social security benefit, but they can't act in their own authority. They can't touch that. They have to have a representative on their behalf to take care of that. Well, Jesus set that in order. You know, he set it in order when he made us ambassadors of him. When we're born again, you know, our thinking changes. Our minds think on the spiritual matters more than all the things that we think we know or the things that we know. Once we start operating in the mind of Christ and His authority, we're not that old man ain't out there working like he was working before. Whether you believe it or not, healing is for us. Healing is still available in the name of Jesus. His power to heal is very much present in this sin-sick world. We have that authority. Why don't we see it? Why is it not being used? Is it because somebody is so afraid that if they pray for a person or lay hands on a person that they're gonna look like a fool because that person wasn't healed because they prayed for them? Maybe you go about that the wrong way. If I lay hands on somebody or pray for somebody, it's got nothing to do with Gail. I'm acting on somebody else's authority. It is the healer that heals. And he's not gonna be made to look like a fool. He is going to fulfill what he said he would do. As we're ambassadors of Christ, then he gives us that authority to do things in his name. And that his power is flowing through us. That's the way it's gotta be. You go out there and you're on authority, you're gonna get yourself in a lot of trouble.

Even back in the Old Testament, we can prove that that authority wasn't took away from this earth. Everybody knows that when Jesus came, he told everybody what to do, the disciples and all that. We're gonna get into that in just a minute. Exodus chapter 14, verses 15, 16, and 21. Now, at this time right here, this is where the children of Israel, Moses, they had all come to the sea, right? Pharaoh was behind them, and they was trying to figure out what to do, and Moses was asking God, I need some help. I need to know what to do. Well, verse 15. The Lord said to Moses, Why do you cry to me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward, but lift your rod and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. Now, again, this goes back to watching a supernatural event happen through a natural body. And see, we're going to get into Paul here again in just a few minutes, but we can't just look at the New Testament because there's a lot of people that listen to one, don't listen to the other, back and forth, all that stuff. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. Verse 21 says, Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the Lord caused the sea to go back by strong east wind all that night and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided. So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left hand. How about Exodus 17, 10 through 13? So Joshua did as Moses said to him and fought with Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and her went up to the top of the hill. Y'all may have heard this story. But so it was when Moses held up his hand that Israel prevailed, and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. Verse 12 says, But Moses' hands became heavy. So they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side and one on the other side. And his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. Now see, again, they saw a supernatural power coming into the natural realm and being manifested in the battle, the natural battle that was happening with Joshua. Okay, so let's look at Joshua. This is later on down the road. Moses taught Joshua how to be obedient and how to use the authority that he had. Joshua chapter 10, verses 12 and 13. Then Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun stand still over Gibeon, and moon in the valley of Azulon. So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the people had revenge upon their enemies. Is this not written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day. Now, let me ask you something. If that's not the supernatural, absolutely taking over the natural, I don't know what is.

That's absolutely interacting, and it came through the authority given to man to claim that. So we could stop with just those two scriptures, and that proves, even in the Old Testament, that that authority that was given to Adam in the beginning was not taken away from the earth. But again, we have to remember, we were deceived into believing that it was by Satan using our guilt and our shame. And he is still doing that today. Why don't we see all those miracles that our grandma and grandpa told us about? For the older people, why don't we see the miracles that we seen when we were young, young people in churches? The cancers falling off of people. I saw that. I saw broke bones heal. I saw people stump cast off their legs. I saw these miracles, not because I'm special, but because at that time people were using the authority that God gave them over these diseases and the sickness over every living thing on the earth. Well, how is a broke leg a living thing or a disease? Is a disease not living? Does it not creep across the earth? Look at cancer. Look at epilepsy, look at AIDS, look at all of these different diseases. Are they not alive? If they were dead, we wouldn't have to worry about it, right?

Right. You know, the key there is when God is glorified in the healing, then the healing can come forth. If man's trying to glorify man, he might as well be a magician, trying to act as a magician. God doesn't need us to interfere in what he's doing. He needs to flow through us. It's him. It's not us. That's why we'd we'd really rather people don't even know what our name is. All they need to know is who the name of Jesus is. We're an ambassador of Christ, and that's it. No matter who you are.

What did God say that that uh when Jesus held his eyes and they came to him wanting to know because it was a Sabbath, he said, look, look, man, I don't know any of that. All I know is I was blind and now I see. Right. He knew that there was a there was a power and an authority that gave him back his natural eyesight.

And you weren't gonna take that away from him because he left there seeing.

Yeah, and absolute proof. Absolute proof. To me, that is just awesome and cool. Okay, so there are I don't know how many examples in the Old Testament. I'm gonna give y'all a few of them that you can read yourself. 2 Kings chapter 2, verses 8, 11, 13, and 14. You can read about Elijah and the mantle and all of that. You can go to Daniel chapter 3, verse 21 and 27. You heard the story about the fiery furnace. You can read about that and see how supernatural absolutely reached into that natural and delivered. And not just for the believers, but for an absolute atheistic king. All right. You can read all about Nebuchadnezzar. Look at Daniel chapter 5, verses 5 through 6. You've heard about the handwriting on the rock on the wall. God supernaturally reached through into this realm, and that king was so shook up that his knees was knocking. Read that story, Daniel 5, 5 through 6.

All right, one more. 1 Kings chapter 18. Y'all can read in here where Ahab was looking for Elijah. This is an awesome, awesome story. And this takes us into where Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal, which about the the uh who's God to serve. All right. Read this story and watch how natural, foolish priest of Baal tried to bring supernatural happenings into the natural, and it just didn't work. Y'all you'll see it. This is a great, great story to explain God supernaturally reaching into the natural and delivering a people. Pay attention to what the people saw. That's 1 Kings chapter 18. Just read the whole chapter for that matter. And like I said, there's a lot of examples all through the Old Testament. So, like Gail said, let's walk on out of the Old Testament, flip the pages, and just walk with us through time. Now we're coming up to the time of Christ, okay? So in the book of Luke, you can start in chapter one, you can start reading about where the angel Gabriel came and talked to Mary and said, You are a highly favored young lady. And Mary's standing there in awe looking at this angel. She didn't know what to do. Just read that story on down to where Gabriel told her exactly what was going to happen, how it was going to happen, when it was going to happen, and what they was going to name the baby. Uh, Luke chapter one. Read all of that. Matter of fact, go ahead and read Luke chapter two, and you can see when Jesus actually came into the world, and everything went according to what Gabriel told her. And this is one of the most uh powerful examples of the supernatural authority, the supernatural power of God Himself coming into the natural, into Mary, and taking on a natural body that was born into this world. God experienced the whole being born thing on. Earth. Now that should really get your attention. God Himself came through into the natural world.

You know, when God came into this world, manifest into the body of Christ. He wrapped himself in flesh and walked among mankind, not just to be seen as manifest God, it's so that he could feel, he could taste our infirmities. He knew what pain and heartache felt like. He had to walk it in order to feel what he had created. That supernatural manifestation that stepped into the natural is still here today.

Now, if y'all have listened to some of the other messages that we've had, you remember we talked about legion and one of them. And I want to just mention this real quick again. In Mark chapter 5, verses 6 through 11, that's where Jesus came to the tombs and the Gedarian demoniac, I hate that name. I wish they would have not called him that, but there was a reason. He was no longer himself, he was totally consumed. Y'all know how the story goes. But the part of it that I like is, well, I like all of it, but in verse 8, Jesus said to him, Come out of the man, unclean spirit. And y'all know the story about how he said, What's your name, where legion, all of that. And then how they ran into the herd of swine and they run down the mountain and they all drowned. If you've never read that story for yourself, that's Mark chapter 5. It's in several, I think it's in a couple of different of the gospels, but that's a great example of Jesus using that supernatural authority and power to subdue a situation, the man with the demons. He subdued that situation. He took dominion over it by calling them demons out of the man. And then because he had the authority, he could have just sent them demons into the abyss. But he let them make their own choice, I guess you could say, which still sent them, sent them out of this world, I believe.

You know, while you're on that subject of legion, Acts 19 and 15. And said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are you? Does that not tell you that that evil spirit not only knew who Jesus was, but he knew who Paul was. And he knew that Paul had the authority of Jesus. So that is evident that Paul had the authority to act in the name of Jesus and to cast out the evil spirits.

So now let's look at an example of how the deception comes in, okay? Matthew chapter 14, verses 22 through 31. Now, this is a story where Jesus told the disciples, get in the boat and go on across uh the Sea of Galilee and meet them on the other side. And y'all know how he went out there walking on the water because there's a bad storm, right? And in the middle of all of this, Peter said, If that's really you, because they thought it was a ghost to start with, right? So Peter said, If that's really you, bid me to come unto you. One of the other interpretations says, Peter said, Command me to come to you on the water. All right, so Jesus said, Come. He didn't say come to me, he said, come. Now, y'all know how the story goes. Peter stepped out of the boat, everything was cool, man, and then he got his eyes off of Jesus and he started sinking. This is where the deception comes in. Remember, we said this power wasn't taken away from us. Satan uses our sin, he uses our guilt and our shame to deceive us into thinking we don't have that authority anymore. When Peter looked away and started sinking, immediately his thoughts were, I'm gonna die. He forgot that Jesus said, Come. The most important thing to him right then was I'm sinking in this storm and I'm gonna die. And he screamed out that Jesus, save me. And y'all know how the story goes. Jesus did. Immediately, Jesus stretched out his hand and caught him and said to him, Oh, you of little faith, and right here, why did you doubt? The reason he doubted is because of his guilt from looking away from Christ. That's how we are deceived today. Satan still uses our guilt, he uses our shame, and we may not be out there just big old sinners acting all crazy, but we all got things that happen. Maybe we didn't obey him when we're supposed to. Maybe we didn't say something to somebody when we were supposed to, or we didn't do a certain thing when we were supposed to, or we opened our mouth when we was not supposed to, and we caused a problem. And then Satan will use that guilt and that shame not only to shut you up, but to stop the flow of that supernatural authority and power to subdue the things on this earth and take dominion over them.
