SPEAKER_01

Throughout this land today there are men who have heard their call They are faithful ministers, God's watchmen on the wall. There is a special crown to them in heaven.

SPEAKER_00

Welcome to the Watchman's Call. We invite you to study with us the ancient prophecies of the Bible and witness their fulfillment in our modern times. And we had left off with Matthew chapter 14, verses 22 through 31. Remember, in this story, that's where Jesus had told them to go across the Sea of Galilee, told them to get in the boat, go on ahead, meet them on the other side. Well, in the middle of the sea, y'all remember the storm comes up, they all get scared. Jesus walks out on the water. That right there in itself is supernatural manifesting itself on a natural body of water. But the disciples thought they saw a ghost. And so Peter, when Jesus told them to be calm, Peter said, Lord, if that's you, command me to come to you. And all Jesus said was, Come. So read that story and you'll understand what's going on. But the point of this is getting to how we are deceived in believing that we don't have the authority to subduce situations on this earth anymore. Remember, Peter started sinking and he cried out, Lord, save me. And so Jesus reached down and grabbed hold of him and pulled him up. And Jesus said this to him, O you of little faith, why did you doubt? The answer to that is because Peter, when he took his eyes off of Jesus, the guilt of not trusting Christ in his word, that was stronger than him actually looking at Jesus standing there. Can't you see Satan in the middle of all of this laughing? Because one more time he has deceived man into believing you cannot do what Jesus just told you to do. You don't have that authority when Jesus just told him, Come.

SPEAKER_02

Think about it. Peter had his eyes on Peter. He was looking at the flesh and what he could do and what he couldn't do. He knew that he couldn't walk on water.

SPEAKER_00

Right, that's right.

SPEAKER_02

So he needed to take his eyes off of him and put his eyes on Jesus. That's the only way this was going to take place.

SPEAKER_00

Well, how often does that happen today? Same thing. Every day. That's the deception that Satan uses in our not just the sin, but the guilt and the shame of that sin. He uses that against us. Now there's another account in Matthew chapter 8 when Jesus was in the boat with the guys. This time he was laid down asleep, you remember? And the big storm came. And they woke him up and said, Ain't you even concerned that we're all about to die? After all of the things the disciples had seen Jesus do, all of the supernatural, powerful things that they saw Christ do, they were still afraid. And why is that? Because again, they got their eyes on the natural things that was going on, and they were guilty of doubting Christ. And even though Satan didn't come out and say, hey, I'm going to use your doubt against you, that's exactly what he was doing. We're in that same boat today, a lot of times. We are. We doubt Christ, the authority that he gave us to work through us by not claiming healing for people, not claiming authority, and not subduing a situation the way God commanded everything to start with. And remember, Jesus said in verse 26, this is Matthew chapter 8. He said to them, Why are you fearful, O you of little faith? So the men marveled, and Jesus arose, he rebuked the winds of the sea, he rebuked all that, everything calmed down, and they said, Who is this that even the winds and the sea obey him? Because they already knew this, the truth was hid from them. The truth was still there, just like we said, but because Satan is so smart in the things that he does, he used their guilt to deceive them into not believing that they was going to be saved. How about Matthew chapter 10, verses 7 and 8? Now this one goes along with what Gail was talking about in the first part of this study where she was talking about Paul. Jesus told them, He said, As you go preaching, the kingdom of heaven is at hand. He said, Heal the sick, cleanse the leopard, raise the dead, cast out demons freely. You have received, freely give. Here's a simple way to understand that, folks. You received salvation freely. It was given to you freely, but there was a great price paid for that salvation. You received that, and in that salvation, you received healing from the sin that was in your life. The other things that we received in that was the power to subdue and take dominion and control and authority over everything that creeps on the earth. When you are born again, God indwells that spirit, that power within you. Freely you have received, freely give. The supernatural storm they saw Jesus, or the natural storm that they saw Jesus subdue it, and he took control over it and he calmed it down. We still have that with us. The authority was still there waiting on us to reclaim it and start back using it the way we were instructed to do all the way back in Genesis. Nothing's changed, folks. Nothing's changed as far as what God said. Matthew 10 and 19 through 20. This is where Jesus was telling the disciples and telling us. He said, But when they deliver you up, when when they bring you up and they start making accusations against you, don't worry about how or what you're going to say, for it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak. For it is not you who speaks, but the spirit, the supernatural, the spirit of your supernatural father who speaks in the natural you. We have to believe that God Himself will give us the words in the time of need. That's what Jesus just told them, right? The supernatural will actually speak through you in a time when it's needed the most. Now, for anybody that's worried about all this stuff, look at Luke chapter 10, verses 16 through 20. Jesus said, He who hears you, hears me. When they hear you speaking, they actually are hearing me speak. Remember, Gail was talking about the power of attorney. When you have the power of attorney, you're speaking for someone else. When we are in Christ and we are given the gospel message, when we're given hope, when we're speaking healing and uh and and deliverance, we are representing Christ. We are speaking for him. He says, He who hears you, hears me. He who rejects you rejects me, and he who rejects me, very important, rejects him who sent me. So folks, see, we're not just representing Christ. We're not just representing Jesus, our Messiah. We are representing God, the Father. We're representing the very uh power that he gave Adam and Eve in the very beginning. Subdue the earth, take control over it, take dominion over everything that walks, lives, breathes, and breeds on this earth and in the sea, sicknesses including. In Luke 17, it says, Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name. You gotta pay attention to that. In your name, by your authority, they are subject to us. Legal power of attorney. That's exactly how it works, folks. And he said to them, I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority. Again, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the powers of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. He just reauthorized that power and authority that God set in place in the very beginning. He said, Nevertheless, all that's great, but nevertheless don't rejoice in this that the spirits are subject to you. But the greatest thing here, he says, rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven. How much more powerful is our names being written in heaven than having the power to cast out demons and sickness and raise the dead? That's what an awesome, mighty gift salvation is. The authority to subdue things on this earth is just a it's a bonus.

SPEAKER_02

You know, Gerald, I believe that God realized he was talking to humans here. I believe he realized and still realizes today that he's using humans to get spiritual things done. We're like channels, and we're not perfect. He's perfect. And uh see the devil just loves when you mess up or you fall, you trip over something, you do something you shouldn't, like he said. Maybe you do something you shouldn't have done or don't do something you should have done. Now Paul addresses that in uh Romans 8, chapter 7 and 8, I believe. You know, there's a lot of things that we shouldn't be doing that we do, and a lot of things, you know, vice versa. Anyway, the gifts and calling of God are considered irrevocable. Romans 11 29 talks about that, meaning that God doesn't take back the spiritual gifts, the talents, or the calling that he has bestowed upon a person. Remember, it ain't all about you. A lot of it is about who he's gonna send you to or who he's gonna use you to get to. And that's not always a pretty place, and it definitely is not always a comfortable place. We have really wound up in some hard places you know, that that's not where we expected to go, to have a nugget of gold come out of that, somebody be born again, now you think, man, what am I doing here? How did I get in this situation? But God brought it about for the good. And m sometimes it is about where he's sending you more than who you are when you go in there. Now go in announcing who you are. While a person can misuse the gifts, and if they misuse the gifts, they're gonna face consequences for that. There's a penalty to pay for that. Jesus purchased our salvation, but we still mess up that underlying power, Him, the hope of the world, is still alive in us. You know, God don't don't change his mind about the gifts and calling that he gives us as they're not based on human performance as they are based on grace. They're they're based on him. One thing that I'm sure that y'all have seen, we see so many we'll say preachers or evangelists or whoever it is talking, are so concerned about how they look, how big they can pump their ministry up, their work, or their church. Last time I looked, the church belongs to Jesus Christ. You know, you may be honored to be preaching there or have a work in that building, but the church, we are the church, and all of it belongs to Christ. But some of them are so caught up with the reflection in the mirror that they can't mirror Christ in them, the hope of glory to the world. We're supposed to be a reflection of that. We're supposed to mirror Christ, and uh the world should be seeing him in us, not them in us. It's not all about us.

SPEAKER_00

You know, that is exactly right. And one of the last things that Jesus did to set all that straight, which he's talking about, when he was hanging on the cross, he said, It is finished, and he bowed his head and he gave up his spirit. So now that supernatural that had come into this world just left this world and went back into the supernatural. And y'all know how everything goes after that with the being below for three days, all of that. We're not talking about all that right now, but because of him doing all that he did, paid the price for sin again, and made it where there was nothing between us and God. Y'all remember the story how it goes about the veil was rent in the temple, ripped, in other words, from the top to the bottom. Now, the reason that's a big deal is because that wasn't a two or three foot tall veil. That was a very tall, nobody could get up to the top of it. So anyway, God opened it up because of Jesus. He opened the temple up, he opened his throne room up for us, natural people, to be able to walk into the presence of a supernatural God and cry our hearts out, give him all our problems, for us to take our natural problems and lay them into the supernatural realm. That's why it's so important for us to be able to take control and subdue this natural world by using the power that he set in motion and he set uh at play, I guess you could say, in the whole new beginning of this thing. Now, what Jesus also did, even though the power and the authority and the all of that never was took away, he actually restored us back to our rightful position of authority through him over all living things.

SPEAKER_02

That just reminds me of the garden when Adam could walk and talk with God, or God walked and talked with Adam. Now, since that veil has been rent, we have access to the same God that talked to Adam. The same power and through Jesus Christ that that gave us that power. Think about being restored back to the time of walking with God. Wow.

SPEAKER_00

Well, that's what when Christ died, that's exactly right, that's exactly where he put us, right back in the footsteps, spiritually speaking, as Adam was naturally. But even though it's spiritually speaking, it's for our our natural bodies. I'm not trying to confuse people, but it's amazing to think about that.

SPEAKER_02

Well, we're spirit and flesh, we're carnal and supernatural, all wrapped up in one package here.

SPEAKER_00

Right. So, how did Jesus restore us? What all happened when he restored us back to our rightful position? How'd he do that? Again, remember, we were talking about how Satan uses deception. He uses our shame and our guilt of everything we've done to deceive us into believing we can't do that no more. Jesus took all of our shame. Friends, he took all of our guilt, he took all of our sin, and he wrapped all of that around his body that was beat so bad he barely could walk. After he wrapped himself in all of our sin and our shame and our grief in the eyes of Satan and the whole world, Satan was watching this. Then he picked that cross up and loaded it right up on top of that. And he drug all of that stuff up Calvary's Hill to a certain spot. Not a big, glorious platform, but a certain spot that he was he came here for. This spot had been used who knows how many other times. And this spot, like I said, it wasn't a big platform. He wasn't about to give a speech. This spot probably wasn't no bigger than 10 or 12 inches around. It was an empty hole. And like I said, who knows how many times this same hole had been used before? But today, this hole had a supernatural job to do. It had to hold up the Messiah, the Savior of the world. Satan thought he had finally won. Can't you just imagine how the demons were howling in hell? How the demons all throughout the world were just was just on the rampage like a like a crazy party they was having. Satan and his entire kingdom was about to lay claim to their greatest victory against God since the great deception in the garden. All hell was raging.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, because they thought that they had murdered the King of Glory. How insane can you get? What did Jesus say? You know, you can't take my life from me. I lay it down. He came here for this purpose. So Jesus wasn't murdered on Calvary. He came here to walk that hill. And he done just exactly what he stepped on this earth to do. And he's he's coming back for greater than that.

SPEAKER_00

That's right. Now picture this. Once Christ got to the top of Calvary, he dropped that cross, it hit the ground, and Satan was grinning the whole time. He watched the soldiers grab a hold of Jesus, lay him down on top of it, stretched his arm out, and for the ones of you that don't know much about the crucifixion, they would hit their fingers with those hammers and bust their fingers open. It was just part of it. They opened up Christ's hands after that and started driving the nails in. I can imagine Satan laughing with every hit of the hammer. And then finally comes the time that the devil has been waiting for as they raised the cross up and it started sliding into the hole. He raised his fist toward heaven in total defiance of God one more time. When that cross hit the bottom of that hard thud, when it hit the bottom, it just was solid. And Satan roared out, I've won. This is in the supernatural. I've won. He watched as the life slowly drained out of the body of Jesus. When Jesus said, It is finished, something happened. You see, before this, before that, Satan had people, the spiritual leaders, mocking him. They would even come up to him and say, if you're really Christ, come down off the cross. If you really are a healer, heal yourself, mocking him the whole time. How many times have you felt Satan supernaturally mocking you? And you could feel it in your body, you could feel it in your heart. Well, I can't stop and talk to this person. What would people think about me? I can't speak healing over this person. What if it don't come true? Remember, they're not hearing you, they're hearing Christ through you. That's right. And if they reject you, they reject Christ. And if they reject Christ, they're rejecting God that sent him to come through you. Now, when all of this happened and Jesus said, It is finished. Remember the the curtain ripped from the top to the bottom. The sky turned dark and the winds grew strong and the rocks split apart. The demons that were parting and howling and just in a rave, just all excited about Jesus dying, all of a sudden they went quiet. They was trying to find somewhere to hide. They were trembling. And Satan looked around, I can imagine, and said, What is this? He had to think, what's going on? What happened? We had him. He's dead. We had him. See, Jesus took the That cross and he turned it into a stake, and he staked his claim. When that cross hit the bottom of the hole, he would defeat death and the grave. He paid the price for sin, and in that he redeemed mankind. He restored us again, folks. He restored us again. So here we are in the present day. After all that we've witnessed through time, we went all the way back to Genesis and we've walked through the pages of the Bible. We've walked through the Old Testament, through the New Testament. We walked with Christ to the cross, and now here we are in present day. And I know we hear about miracles every so often, but it's supposed to be every day, Gail. It's supposed to be, it's not supposed to be something. Wow, did you hear about this thing that happened at this certain place? It's supposed to be, yeah, well, I mean, that's been happening all over here and all over there. So what happened? What changed, or better yet, who changed? Did God get weaker? No. God didn't get weaker. God is the gift no more good. How about this? Did Satan get stronger? No. Satan didn't get no stronger. He don't have any more power than he had from the beginning. So that only leaves one thing. It has to be us that change. Man changed again even after all that Jesus did. Just like Adam, we've allowed sin, we've allowed the guilt and the shame of that sin and the disobedience to block the power of the dominion authority to manifest through us, and it is our own fault, folks. It is our very own fault. I know a lot of people don't want to hear that. They want to lay the blame on somebody else. Well, if this happened, if that happened, well, I want to, but I can't. And people are going to ask us, well, are y'all out healing the lame? Are y'all raising the dead? I've seen the dead raise up when we pray for them.

SPEAKER_02

I've seen people healed. I've seen hair grow back. I've seen miracles happen. The greatest miracle is salvation. But I've seen physical, we have seen them. Miracles happen.

SPEAKER_00

And it's not just us saying that, and we're not lifting ourselves up on any kind of pinnacle at all. No, we do not do that. You do not try to steal God's His glory. What it is, is you're thankful that God allowed you to be part of a miracle that He wanted to make so that people could see. In all of your messed up ways, God is wanting to use you to bring healing to somebody, cleansing to somebody, to some situation. Maybe it's a problem in a household. You can subdue that and you can take authority over that and you can put that problem back into the abyss. Maybe you're the answer that somebody's needing to see or hear from God. But like I said, just like Adam, sin and guilt and shame and disobedience, all of that is blocking that authority that we have. Now that power was never meant to stop. Man was supposed to work with that power all throughout time. And folks, it is still here. Christ proved it, Elijah proved it, Moses proved it all through the Old Testament, it was proved, all through the New Testament, it was proved. Even in modern day times, you see it still proved. Why is it that just a very select few people are manifesting, I guess you could say, this authority? Let me ask you another question. Why are we not? Why? What is stopping us? If you've got guilt and shame working in your life, and maybe nobody sees it, maybe nobody knows it but you. But if you feel guilty or shameful about something like we were talking about a while ago, we did or didn't do, put that under the blood of Christ. He said it is finished. He restored us back to our rightful position. When the prodigal son came back to his daddy with all his excuses, the daddy didn't even hear it. He put the robe and the ring and the sandals and all, he restored that young man back to his rightful position. And nobody had anything that they could say against the father. It was questioned, but the father took the authority to redeem the son. Our father has redeemed us back to that position. And we, if we want to see miracles happen, if we want to see this end time revival actually come through, and it's going to happen whether you're part of it or not, it is going to happen. But don't you want to be a part of what God is going to be doing in this most powerful, powerful end time? Now, before we go, I want to let you know about this. There's going to be one more very supernatural event that's going to happen very soon. And this supernatural event is going to come into the natural like nothing that has ever happened before. This earth has never seen what's going to happen. Matthew 24, verses 30 and 31. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with the great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Are we truly ready for Christ's return to this earth? Are we? Are we truly prepared to meet Jesus if death comes before he returns? Do we really want to see the miracles happening again? We must be willing to allow God to return us to a place in him where we can subdue and take dominion over every living thing on this earth. Search the scriptures for yourself. Friends, there may be somebody that only you can touch. There may be somebody out there that only you can pray for. And God is wanting you, He has given you the authority to subdue the problems that's there. We've just got to get it in our minds, and we've got to have the understanding that He never took this away from us and call the devil the liar that he is and go on and do the work that God's got set before you to do. Y'all be blessed.

SPEAKER_01

Watch my watchman.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you for joining with us here at The Watchman's Call. My friends, Jesus is coming back very soon. The signs for his return are showing up all over the world, even as we speak right now. Our job is to reach as many people as we can and warn them about his return. And you can help us do that by sharing these messages with everybody you know. That means the saint and the sinner. Everyone must be warned, and we don't have much time left. Y'all be blessed and keep watching. And remember, leave us a comment to let us know your thoughts and concerns.
