Welcome to the Watchman's Call. We invite you to study with us the ancient prophecies of the Bible and witness their fulfillment in our modern time. Why is it that some people, maybe even you, are not able to just walk into their next season, spiritual season, physical, even financial? Could it be because they're trying to put dry socks on cold, wet feet? Could this be you and you don't even realize it? How many times have you tried to put dry socks on your feet when they're cold and wet? It's nearly impossible. See, today we're going to talk about a simple statement that has been with me for a very long time. And I've said this to a lot of people. Again, it's hard to put dry socks on cold wet feet. Now, see, at first it sounds like something you'd hear around the house after walking through the rain. And where we're at, we've had a lot of rain. Every time you walk outside, depending on what kind of shoes you're wearing, your shoes are going to get soaked, your socks are going to get soaked, and whenever you come in to change them, there's the problem. But spiritually, this reveals a condition affecting a multitude of believers today. God is providing new opportunities. Man, he's opening up new doors. He's releasing fresh new vision, but a lot of people still just can't seem to walk into what God is doing because they're still carrying the effects of what they've actually been through. So let's get started. Let's look at the condition of the wet feet. Throughout Scripture, feet represent our walk with God. Paul wrote, Your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. That's in Ephesians chapter six and verse fifteen. Feet determine movement. Feet determine direction. Feet determine whether we advance or remain stuck. And many believers today have spiritual wet feet. Not because God abandoned them, not because they lack faith, but because they've been walking through storms. Some have walked through financial hardships, family conflicts, church wounds, that's a big one, health challenges, national instability. Some walk through fear and uncertainty. The modern world bombards us with bad news twenty-four hours a day, and our phones keep connecting us to every crisis on earth. Many are emotionally exhausted. A lot of folks are just spiritually drained. They love God, but they're tired. See their feet are wet. So dry socks represents God's new provision. You see, Isaiah forty three and nineteen says, Behold, I will do a new thing. Notice God speaks about what He is doing. Many people are focused entirely on what happened. God is focused on what is next. The dry socks represent new grace, a new assignment, maybe new opportunities, new revelation, and new strength. God always prepares provision before movement. Before Elijah faced a stage of ministry, God fed him. Before Israel entered Canaan, God prepared the land. Before Pentecost, God prepared the upper room. The Lord always prepares what is needed for the next season. The issue is not that God lacks provision, the issue is that many are trying to put new provision over old pain. So let's stop measuring tomorrow by yesterday. This is where the prophetic word comes in. Stop measuring your future by the moisture of your past. Many people have developed spiritual expectations based on previous disappointments. They say before I get excited, something bad will always happen. It always does. Or every door eventually closes. Have you ever said or heard somebody say I've prayed before and nothing changed? Well, that's exactly how Israel responded in the wilderness. God was talking about promise. They were talking about problems. God was talking about milk and honey, and they were talking about giants. Faith sees God's future. Fear evaluates everything by previous pain. Philippians chapter 3 and verse 13 says, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before or ahead of us. Paul's not saying to ignore your history. He is saying don't allow your history to control your destiny. What about Joshua and the miracle of the dry ground? One of the most powerful pictures of this message comes from Joshua chapter 3. The Jordan River was overflowing. The conditions were not favorable. But when the priest stepped forward, carrying the Ark of the Covenant, God stopped the waters. Read it. The scripture says the people passed over right against Jericho on dry ground. Joshua chapter 3, verse 17. Think about that. There was still water nearby, but God created dry ground in the middle of a flood. That is a prophetic picture for today. Some listeners may still be surrounded by uncertainty. You may still see challenges. You may still be facing pressure. But God says, I don't have to remove every flood around you before I give you a place to stand. God can establish stability in unstable times, peace in chaotic times, and direction in confusion times. So here's a word for the church in modern times. The church today is facing enormous ungodly pressures. Artificial intelligence is one. Economic uncertainty. What about political division? Moral confusion every day. Lord, we see that more and more in a lot of the churches. Many believers are asking, what happens next? The answer is the same as it has always been. Stay close to God's presence. The Ark led Israel. The Holy Spirit leads us. The answer's never been found in the culture. The answer has always been found in God's presence. Watchmen do not focus on the darkness. Christians don't. Christians focus on what God is saying. The darkness may increase, but my friends, so will the light. Today the Lord is speaking to many hearts, and he's saying, Your feet may be wet from the journey, but the season is changing, and you're not defined by your last battle. You are not limited by your last disappointment. I am preparing your steps for where I am taking you. The Lord is drying the effects of yesterday so you can walk into tomorrow. And the flood will not have the final word. So again, my friends, we're talking about trying to put dry socks on cold, wet feet, physically, spiritually, emotionally, mentally, financially. So I want to leave you with some scriptures that may help you if you're struggling with this. Isaiah 43, 18 and 19, we read a little bit of this a while ago. It said, Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. This is the primary foundation. See, God tells Israel not to be not to become trapped by previous experiences. The Lord was not denying their past. He was telling them not to let the past, and he's telling us, don't let our past, blind us to what he is doing next. It's kind of sad to think that a lot of believers can recite every past failure in detail, but they can't even recognize the new thing God's trying to bring forth. How about let's take a look at Philippians chapter 3, verses 13 and 14. Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before. I press towards the mark. Paul understood that yesterday's victories and yesterday's disappointments can both become distractions. That's absolute. We all know that. The kingdom is always, always moving forward. See, you can't walk into God's next assignment while you're living emotionally in your past, and that moisture is still on you. That that effect is still on you. Not forgetting it, but moving past it. Psalms chapter 37 and 23 says, and I love this one, the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. This is where the phrase, I'm preparing your steps for where I'm taking you that we talked about earlier. This is the foundation. God doesn't merely prepare destinations, he prepares steps. Individual steps. Think about that. Before God changes your circumstances, he often changes your walk. Proverbs chapter 3, verses 5 through 6 says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and he shall direct your path. Sometimes our wet feet represent our own understanding. We can't see how God is going to work things out. It's just impossible the way we're looking at it. But God says He will direct the path. Christians today, followers, the bride, we don't just walk by what we see from the tower. We walk by what reveals from the tower. How about Joshua chapter 3 and verse 17? And the priest stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan. In the middle of the Jordan River, the priest stood firm on dry ground. You got a Jordan trying to flood you out. God's got dry ground for you to stand on. This is probably the most powerful visual image for this whole message. See, God didn't remove Israel from the flood. God hadn't removed you from the flood. He gave them dry ground in the middle of it. Have you seen? Do you realize? Do you understand God has dry ground for you in the middle of this flood? The moisture of the river, it didn't determine the reality of God's promises. The problems of the things around you don't determine the reality of God's promises for you. Here's a prophetic parallel. Just because you're surrounded by uncertainty, that does not mean you're standing on uncertainty. See, God can establish dry ground in the middle of any flood. See, the Lord spoke something straight into my heart, and I believe he said, Stop measuring your future by the moisture of your past. Now that's not a direct quote from Scripture, but it is just so entwined and so mingled all throughout the Word of God. Remember, Isaiah said, Remember not the former things. Paul said, Forget those things which are behind. Even King David said, The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. What did Solomon, wise Solomon, say? Trust in the Lord, and he shall direct thy paths. Joshua shows us priests standing on dry ground while flood waters rage around them. Remember that. The Jordan was in a flooded state. It was raging, but they stood on dry ground. Things around us today is raging, but there is peace and there is dry ground for us. See, the message is real clear. God never intended yesterday's pain to become tomorrow's compass. See, we can't discern God's future if our eyes remain fixed on yesterday's storms. We just can't. We just can't see it. The moisture of the past may explain where we've been, but it does not determine where God is taking us. So I want to close with this prayer. Lord Jesus, in your name we pray for every listener of this program. For those who are weary, we ask that you strengthen them, God. For the ones of them that have been wounded, for whatever reason, heal them. God, for the ones that's been delayed, we're asking that you encourage those, God, and Lord, help us stop measuring our future. Really, God, by the morsel of our past, prepare our feet. Lord, please order our steps, and God lead us by your Spirit. Give us courage to walk into every promise, every single promise you have ever prepared for us. We ask it all, Lord Jesus, in your mighty name. Amen. My friends, y'all be blessed. Like and share these messages with everybody you can.
