What if the small connections in your life are part of something bigger? In this tidbit, I briefly share how God weaves introductions, interests, and timing together like an intricate tapestry.

Have you ever realized that God may be orchestrating connections before you even meet the people he wants you to meet? So in June of 2023, I bought two books to learn Korean. And at the time, I sensed that the Lord was highlighting that particular country to me. I didn't know why, but I thought, why not learn the language? So I bought the two books. But honestly, I completely forgot about them, and they ended up sitting on a shelf collecting dust because it just didn't feel strategic and it just didn't feel significant. However, recently I was going through my stuff and I saw the two books. And they look pretty brand new, besides the dust, but they look pretty brand new. But I just felt a nudge from the Lord to check the date of when I ordered it. And so I did. Naezem noticed it before I did, but he said, Sarah, look at the month. And when I paused to think about it, it floored me. Because at the end of 2025, so around October, a new member joined our church, and he is someone of Korean descent. And his name is June. After that I let that sink in, I realized God had been preparing me to connect with him long before I ever knew him, before the introduction, before the conversation, before the relationship. Connections often involve layers. An invitation from one person, an introduction through another, overlapping communities that just don't seem to relate at first. It's amazing, but God works behind the scenes. Even in what feels small, even in what feels forgotten, even in books collecting dust. So are you paying attention to the small connections God is placing in your life? A conversation, a shared interest, an unexpected introduction. It also, these connections have been reminding me of a tapestry. You know, so one thread alone might not seem like much. It can look insignificant, even unnecessary. But when woven together with others, it becomes part of something intricate and intentional and beautiful. We often think we have to do massive, visible things to make an impact. But that's not usually how God works. He weaves quietly, patiently, and deliberately. And one day you're going to look back and realize he was preparing you long before you understood why. So don't shortchange the small things or the small beginnings. The nudge, the interest, the introduction. They may be the very threads he's using to create something far more beautiful than you can see.
