What if Heated Rivalry was a 1920s-style radio play complete with music and sound effects, where every episode is a different scene from the series, each featuring a brand new cast pulled directly from the fandom?
If you know what this acronym stands for: WYCTMCTS, can quote every line of dialogue, have been practicing your Russian accent, and like your podcasts quick, snappy, and funny, then this is the show for you.

Welcome to Radio Rivalry, the podcast for loons, by loons, that asks, what if Heated Rivalry was a 1920s-style radio play with music and sound effects, where each episode is a different scene (or two) from the Heated Rivalry limited series and each episode features a different cast of wolfbirds?
This is Radio Rivalry, a production for Lons by Lons. The title of tonight's episode is What He Said, starring Shane Hollander.
SPEAKER_03
Ilia falls in love. Scott Hunter. Announcer one. Announcer two. Reporter one. Reporter two.
SPEAKER_05
Our scene opens with Shane and Ilia about to participate in a press conference at the Nashville All-Star Game in February 2011.
SPEAKER_08
Here we are at the MLH All-Star Game, and the theme this year is Team Hollander versus Team Rosinoff. Oh wait, I'm sorry. I read that wrong. It's Team North America versus Team Europe.
SPEAKER_04
It's not subtle. Anytime the league can figure out a way to get these two kids in each other's faces, they're gonna do it.
SPEAKER_02
Yes. Shane, kind of the same to you. You've scored 31 goals. Any chance you want to speculate as to how the season is going to end up for you guys?
SPEAKER_09
No chance at all.
SPEAKER_00
Question for Ilya first, but it'll be the same for Shane. Boston is an original six legendary team that has struggled to get to the playoffs the past three seasons. How much pressure do you feel from the fans, from the hockey world in general, to restore Boston to its former glory? And how much of that do you take on personally?
SPEAKER_09
Uh uh, sorry, not to jump the gun here, but with Razanam's permission. I know it's only been two seasons since Montreal has made the playoffs, but I think I get the idea. Uh, so look, my mom is the world's biggest Metros fan. She's obsessed, and like all Metros fans, she wants us to be back in the playoffs regularly, and she wants us to win some cups. And I want the same thing. I want to be in the playoffs, and I want to win some cups. I feel pretty aligned with the fans because we all want the same thing. And at this point, it's my job to take that personally. Ilya.
SPEAKER_03
What he said.
SPEAKER_07
And here's the shot accuracy competition featuring Gasp, Shane Hollander, and Ilya Rosanov.
SPEAKER_04
The record set of this event currently held by the New York Admirals Car Hunter is four takedowns in eight seconds.
SPEAKER_08
And Rosanov breaks the record. There you go. He's a big kid with a big child. That was something else. I'll tell you that. Let's go!
SPEAKER_04
Jane Collander just stayed over a second off of the record that Ilya Rosenov just said.
SPEAKER_08
If that isn't a good night and good luck, I don't know what is.
SPEAKER_03
Good job. Thanks. You have fun last night?
SPEAKER_09
Last night?
SPEAKER_03
Yeah, with your team, you get dinner, get drunk.
SPEAKER_09
Oh yeah, I had fun, but I didn't get drunk. You?
SPEAKER_03
Yeah, it was great. No boring Canadians, no stupid Americans, so.
SPEAKER_09
So what? Just a bunch of Finnish guys uh talking about the cousins they're in love with.
SPEAKER_03
I think I'm going to bed early tonight. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01
One, two, two, one. Nice shooting, Rook.
SPEAKER_09
Thanks.
SPEAKER_01
Glad to see Rosanov didn't hold my record for more than a minute. What did he want anyway?
SPEAKER_09
Nothing, just talking shit.
SPEAKER_01
He's an asshole, right?
SPEAKER_09
I mean, yeah, basically.
SPEAKER_01
Lucky me, I'm in the room next door to him at the hotel.
