Welcome to Ladies We Play Too Much. I'm your host, Janelle, and I want to invite you again, my viewers, to another episode of some lighthearted fun with the ladies. Joining me today is another beautiful panel of talented and competitive women who love and enjoy sharing their culture with you. Let's take a moment to introduce our beautiful guest. Let's go first. I'll go.
SPEAKER_04Okay, hi. My name is Janisha. Um, I'm a model. I'm from New Jersey. I'm recently getting into acting. That's why I'm here trying to like get more comfortable being in front of the camera talking because I'm kind of a shy girl. But yeah, that's me.
SPEAKER_02Period. All right, my name's Lithina. Um, I'm just starting this modeling stuff, you know. We're getting into it. So why I'm here. Um, other than that, move on to the next person.
SPEAKER_03Um, I'm Tati Thor, Tatiana. Um, I'm also getting into the whole modeling thing. Um, I am a mommy and a herbalist. So that's aren't they just lovely?
SPEAKER_01Uh, thank you so much. Welcome, ladies. Welcome, welcome. We're gonna get into a lot of fun today, but before we get into that, we gotta turn the heat up in here a little bit with our hot topic of the day. So, how important is first impressions? And also, what do you think your first impression leaves on other people?
SPEAKER_04That's a good question.
SPEAKER_03Well, I think first impressions are everything because that's the first memory I'm gonna have of us encounter like speaking, you know, and it's that's like um coming to a job, your first day on the job, looking raggedy, they're gonna say you home. So I feel like that's first impressions are important all the way around.
SPEAKER_01And how do you think people perceive you based on your first impression with them?
SPEAKER_03That's another story. Um for the most part, I feel like people um think I'm pretty cool. I I usually get like, oh, I thought you was a B uh word. But I think that's because um, like she said, um I'm a little shy. So when I'm shy and I'm getting uh scoping the scenery, how they like to say, um, I stay to myself and then I come out out of my shelf. So, you know. So I try to be like more approachable when I first meet people, so they don't get too intimidated by like my blank face, I guess. I don't know. Okay. That's fair.
SPEAKER_02Okay, for me, um, first impressions, like you said, are very important. If I don't know if I can't catch a drift or catch a vibe when I first see you, or the vibe that I'm catching isn't much of a good one, then probably wouldn't want me in your space much longer. But um, me personally, I feel like for me, I feel like the impression I give off it depends on the setting and the vibe. Like I feel like if it's a more high-energy, high-pace, you know, I'm more interactive with people, speaking to everybody, or even just having fun, then you know, you could say, you know, I'm a good time, like for party. But um, if in a more conservative setting, I think, you know, people would say that I'm very mature. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I like that.
SPEAKER_04Um, so I agree with these ladies too. First impressions are like very important. Um, it really determines how people treat you, unfortunately, because sometimes that's not the best. Like the first impression isn't the best thing to go off of to like judge on how like you're gonna treat somebody, but like that's how it is. So yeah, first impressions are like really important. Um, but for me, I feel like my first impression uh I feel like maybe sometimes I might leave a bad taste in people's mouths because not a bad way, but because I'm like really shy and I'm quiet. And sometimes people don't don't like that. You know, they like when they can read you, and people can't read me sometimes, and I like to not be read. Um if that makes sense. But um, but yeah, so sometimes my first impression might not be the best, but like that's when I I realize when I'm rubbing people the wrong way, so that's when I like take a step back and I'm like, okay, let me like smile. Or let me do something to let them know that I'm not like just a weirdo, you know?
SPEAKER_01I can respect that. Yeah, I feel like everyone kind of touched on the importance of like how how you introduce yourself to the world and to others really can leave an impactful impression that can follow you and trail you for the duration of that relationship, however long it may be. Um, but I also agree with the point of you know, especially for someone who will come in rotation, sometimes, you know, we have low days, we have bad days, we have uncertain moments. And maybe the first impression really shouldn't be as heavy as society has made it. It should be more of a broader kind of view on how we like perceive people and how who they actually are. Um, I know for myself as well, I also get, you know, the oh, she's a bitch. Um, when they haven't even spoken to me. But then everyone has always said that as soon as my mouth opens, it's like, oh, you're just like a bubble within the pop. Like you just have so much energy pent up, and you know, I'm I'm very nurturing. Maybe that's the first older sister thing, but like I always want to make sure everyone is, are you okay? Are you okay? All right, you're comfortable with me. And I also like your point of just taking accountability, also just having to recognize, you know, um, who you are, and and you know, adjusting yourself to make sure that you are incorporating other people and to being considered. So thank you. I feel like that was a very good start off to our night together. Little fancy in here or something, you know. But thank you so much. Those were such hearty um answers and very touching and incorporative of you know everyone's feelings and stuff. Um, we're gonna come right back, and when we do come back, we're gonna jump right into our game that we're going to introduce. So I hope you ladies are all ready. And please don't lose your black cards tonight. We'll be right back.
SPEAKER_00I get anything I want. This is my world. I make big moves in my big deal. Since the day that I was born, I've been a big deal. Whoa, whoa, whoa.
