#29 - Dynamic Faith | James 2:22, 25 | 5 Types of Faith
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
James shows us faith in motion.
Abraham didn’t just believe God. He climbed a mountain.
Rahab didn’t just agree with truth. She hid the spies because she feared God.
Faith was active. Alive. Working.
Real faith does not sit still. It moves toward obedience.
In this episode, we unpack three truths:
1. Real faith takes steps — Faith is not proven in comfort. It’s proven in movement.
2. Real faith takes risks — Dynamic faith always costs something. Comfort keeps faith small.
3. Real faith takes action for others — Faith moves outward. It serves, protects, and builds.
Because redeemed rebels don’t keep faith in theory—they put it into motion.

SPEAKER_00This podcast is for the ones to know that we're rescued, but also know that we're resent, saved by grace, sent to live differently. We're not rebelling against God, we're rebelling against everything that keeps us from Him. We'll talk faith, identity, purpose, leadership, and what it really looks like to follow Jesus in a loud and noisy world. We'll dissect scripture, we'll exposite it, we'll grow, and we'll stretch our faith. Welcome to the Daily Rebel. Welcome back, Daily Rebel, day four. Almost at the end of the week. Still diving into James. Let's go to verse 22 of chapter 2, and then we'll skip down to verse 25. It says this you see that faith was active together with his works, and by works, faith was made complete. Now look at down at verse 25. It says, in the same way, wasn't Rahab the prostitute also justified by works and receiving the messengers and sending them out by different routes. So James now shows us faith in motion from another illustration. So Abraham didn't just believe God, man, he climbed a mountain. And Rahab didn't just agree with truth, she hid the spies. When Joshua and the people of God were about to take over the promised land, they sent two spies in there, and Rahab was faithful to hide them, showing her faith to the Almighty God. So faith was active, it was alive, working, dynamic. Real faith does not sit still. It moves toward obedience. Now think about Rahab. Remember her definition is Rahab the prostitute. Rahab is in the lineage of Jesus. Think about that. If you read the Bible, it's all I like to tell people. One, the Bible's rated R. It's for real. And two, God used limp walkers, not perfect people, to complete and do his will. So even people that were obscure, even people who were outcast, had real faith to move. So let me give y'all three points. Number one, real faith, it takes steps. Real faith takes steps. Abraham stepped toward the altar. Rahab stepped into risk. Dynamic faith does not wait for perfect clarity. It moves when God speaks. Faith is not proven in comfort, it's proven in steps. You don't grow by standing still, you grow by walking it out. So, redeem rebels, we don't just listen to instructions of the word. We take the next step. How obedient are you? How spiritually mature are you? It depends on your next step. I always tell uh men, are you getting 1% better than you were yesterday? So let me ask you this where's God calling you to move? Because faith that never steps forward is not dynamic. And we're talking about dynamic faith. So number one, real faith, it takes steps. Number two, real faith takes risks. Rahab, the prostitute, risks everything. Her safety, her reputation, her future. Dynamic faith always costs something. If your faith never stretches you, it may not be strengthening you. I'm gonna say that again for the people in the back. If your faith never stretches you, it may not be strengthening you because nobody ever grows in their comfort zone. Comfort never produces courage. Faith that plays it safe stays small. In Redeem Rebels, we understand this. If grace saves me, um, obedience is gonna stretch you. If it saves you, obedience is gonna be the thing that stretches you. What risk is your faith requiring right now? Here's number three. Real faith takes action for others. Abraham obeyed for God. Rahab acted for the people of God. See, dynamic faith, it serves, it protects, it builds, it aligns with God's purposes beyond itself. Faith that only benefits you is incomplete. If your faith uh stops with you and it doesn't move beyond you, then your faith dies. Faith that only benefits you, it's incomplete. Dynamic faith moves outward, it it sees a need and it steps towards it. Redeemed rebels, listen, we don't just say we care. What we do is we care, but then we carry responsibility to move. Rahab was intimidated by God's people, but he she also knew that man, their city was going to be laid siege at some point. So she makes a deal with these spies and says, Hey, remember me when y'all come back to the land. And they did. And Rahab was rescued. And she's in the hall, Rahab the prostitute, is in the hall of faith because she believed in this almighty warrior God, and she acted in faith. So listen, dynamic faith that moves outward, it sees a need and it steps towards it. It redeemed rebels. Look, we don't just say we care. Again, we carry responsibility just for repetition's sake. So listen, here's some gospel clarity. Let me give you this. Remember, again, we are saved by grace through faith alone. But saving faith is not idle, it's steps, it risks and it serves. Grace puts faith in motion. So listen, dynamic faith, it takes steps, it's gonna take risks, it's gonna take action. If your faith were filmed this week, would we see movement? Whether people see it or not, are you acting in um step with the Holy Spirit? Because listen, redeemed rebels, we don't keep faith in theory. Nah, we put it into motion, and faith that moves proves that it lives. Remember that. Faith, it takes steps, it takes risks, and it takes actions. So, what's your next step? What risks are you taking because of your faith? And what action are you gonna take this week to display the glory of God through you? We'll see you tomorrow on day five in the finale of this week of The Daily Rebel. Thank you for listening to today's episode. Before you go, if you want to help other people be equipped to be redeemed rebels, give us a follow and share it around with your friends. We'll see you next time.
