#94 | God Really Loves You | Romans 8:32 | The Great 8

"Does God really love me?"

Maybe you asked that question after an unanswered prayer. After losing someone you loved. After another battle with sin. After life didn't unfold the way you hoped.

We've all been there.

But in Romans 8:32, Paul doesn't answer that question by pointing to your circumstances. He points to the cross. Because if you ever begin doubting the love of God, don't look at what's happening around you. Look at what already happened for you. The Father didn't spare His own Son but willingly gave Him up so that sinners like us could become sons and daughters of God. 

The cross isn't merely proof that God loved you once. It's the eternal evidence that He loves you still. Paul argues from the greater to the lesser: if God has already given His greatest gift—Jesus—why would He suddenly withhold everything you truly need? He may not give you everything you want, but He will always provide everything necessary to accomplish His purpose in your life.

In this episode, we unpack three powerful truths from Romans 8:32:

1. God Gave His Greatest Gift — Love is measured by sacrifice. The greatest gift God could ever give wasn't health, comfort, success, or prosperity. It was His Son.

2. God's Gift Guarantees His Grace — If God didn't withhold Jesus, He won't withhold the grace, strength, wisdom, peace, and presence you need today.

3. Live From What Has Already Been Given — Stop questioning God's heart every time life gets hard. The cross settled God's love forever.

Ultimately, Jesus wasn't reluctantly sacrificed. He willingly laid down His life. The Father wasn't cruel. The Son wasn't trapped. Together, in perfect love, they accomplished our redemption. The cross wasn't Plan B—it was God's rescue plan from the very beginning.

Final Application:

• Where have you been questioning God's goodness?
• Where have you mistaken God's silence for God's absence?
• Where have you allowed your circumstances to become louder than the cross?
• Today... look again at Calvary.

Because every time you wonder if God loves you...

the cross still answers: "Yes."

God really love me? Maybe you've asked it after a hard season, or maybe even after an unanswered prayer. The Cross Is God's Eternal Answer

eternal answer to every question about his love. In verse 31, you know, we asked, he asked, if God is for us. And Paul gives the evidence. How do we know God's for us? Because he gave the greatest treasure of all time, which is Jesus. God didn't just say he loves you, he demonstrated it. And then Paul writes, he did not even spare his own son. That language should sound familiar in the readers then would have known that it echoes Genesis 22, when Abraham was willing to offer Isaac. God stopped Abraham, but when it came to his own son, the father didn't hold back. And Jesus willingly went to the cross, not because we deserved it, but because he loved us. And the father withheld nothing, so you could receive everything you truly need. And the cross proves God's heart toward his children. So let me get three

Point 1: God Gave His Greatest Gift

points based on this. Number one, God gave his greatest gift. And listen, love is measured by sacrifice. And Paul says he did not spare his son. Think about that. God could not have given you anything greater than Jesus, not money, health, success, or comfort. Jesus. The greatest demonstration of love isn't words, it is his sacrifice. And that's why John 3.16, listen, for God, the CSB says, for God loved the world in this way. Another translation, other translation said, for God so loved the world that he gave, that he gave. The Lord gives, he sacrifices. There's a volume to the soul of. There's a volume to love moving toward the undeserving. There's a volume to Calvary. Calvary is what the

love of God looks like, where Jesus died. And when you doubt God's love, listen, where do your eyes go? To your circumstances or do they go to the cross? Which leads me to number

Point 2: God's Gift Guarantees His Grace

two. God's gift guarantees his grace. The greater includes the lesser. What I mean is, how will he not also with him grant us everything? So Paul is arguing from the greater to the lesser. If God has already given his greatest gift, why would he suddenly become stingy now? This doesn't mean God gives us everything we want. Lord have mercy. We'd be spore little brats. It means he gives us everything we truly need to accomplish his purpose. Forgiveness and grace and strength and wisdom and peace, the spirit, his presence.

If God Gave Jesus, He'll Give You What You Need

If God didn't withhold Jesus, he won't withhold the grace you need today. The cross isn't just proof that God loved you yesterday. It's assurance that he'll care for you tomorrow. Which leads me to number

heart. If Jesus all he did was die and resurrect, that's enough. Sometimes we spend our lives asking, you know, it it's okay, God, are you really for me? And meanwhile, the cross has been answering that question for 2,000 years. Every nail, every drop of blood, every thorn, every lash, every moment of suffering declared one message, I love you. Listen, the cross says you are worth pursuing, worth rescuing, worth uh redeeming, worth dying for because of God's gracious and righteousness. You'll never have to wonder how far God was willing to go to save you. The cross settled that forever. Listen, Jesus wasn't reluctantly sacrificed, he willingly laid his life down. The father wasn't cruel, the son wasn't trapped. Together in perfect love and unity, they accomplished redemption. The cross was not plan B, it was God's rescue plan from the beginning. Jesus. Maybe you've spent your whole life wondering if God could ever love someone like you. Maybe you think you've sinned too much, gone too far, blown too many chances. Listen, friend, Romans 8 32 answers that question forever. He did not even spare his own son but gave him up for us all. The cross is proof that God loves sinners, not cleaned up people, not perfect people, sinners, people like me, people like you. Jesus lived the life we couldn't live. He died the death we deserve to die. He rose again three days later, defeating sin, death, and the grave. And today he's inviting you to trust him. Not your works, not your church attendance, not your morality. God's word in Romans chapter 10, verse 9 says, if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. If today you're ready to turn from your sin and place your faith in Jesus, you can tell him that right now. There's nothing magical about these words. There's simply one way of expressing genuine faith in Christ. If you've been listening to this and you realize that you've been chasing religion, you've been chasing the false religions of, man, just the gospel of proximity, the gospel of uh performance, the gospel of self-reliance, and the gospel of morality, all those are four false gospels. You need Jesus. So pray something like this if that's you

right now, whether you're uh on the side of the road in your car, uh working out, whatever, man. If you want to give your life to Christ, just simply say this, Jesus, I know that I'm a sinner and I cannot save myself. Thank you for loving me enough to come for me. Thank you for living the life I could never live, dying the death I deserved, and rising again so I could have eternal life. Today I turn from my sin and I place my trust completely in you. Forgive me, make me new, fill me with your spirit, teach me to follow you every day of my life. From this day forward, you are my savior, my Lord, and my king. Thank you for your grace. Thank you for your cross. Thank you for making me your child. In Jesus' name. Amen. Listen, if you just prayed that today and you truly meant it from your heart, my encouragement is simple.
