Ooh! I'm Emmy Award-winning journalist Noel McLaren.

Speaker 8

And I'm local business owner Zac Denham. And this is Off-Track Saratoga Podcast.

Speaker 6

Sometimes we're on track.

Speaker 8

Sometimes we go a little off.

Speaker 6

But it's always worth the listen.

Speaker 8

We are here, honey. Welcome to this week's episode of Off-Track Saratoga.

Speaker 6

It's a little louder than usual.

Speaker 8

We are promoting straight from Overdress to Impress, the final season. Let's get into it and see what everybody's doing.

Speaker 6

Let's talk to some people. Did you really bring the emotional support cup?

Speaker 8

I did bring the emotional support. I just caught myself as we're doing the intro.

Speaker 6

Alright, now I'm here with the Bell of the Ball. Andrea Zap. Andrea! Give us a little spin. Before I even talk to you, give me a spin. Two skinsies! Alright. Okay. Wait, so Andrea tells me that she chose this outfit 10 minutes before she walked out the door.

Speaker 2

So my oldest child was very sick all day today, and we basically spent the day navigating what illness you had. Oh, okay. He had to go to the pediatrician. Did he need a well now right now? And he needed a well now right now. So I will always put my child first. I didn't know what I was wearing up until yeah, about 10 minutes before, and this was a rewear. A rewear! Which is the beef, so that worked well for me this year. So yeah, it's a reware.

Speaker 6

You look stunned.

Speaker 8

Tell us uh who you are and why you're here.

Speaker 5

Um I'm Jenica Jones. I'm Miss Excelsior. Um, overdressing is kind of part of my job as a title holder, so it felt very natural. Um, and I love I've partnered with Wellspring before. I do a lot of community service work for them. So being able to support them again tonight in a fancy dress. I mean, what more could you ask?

Speaker 8

What else do you need? Amazing. So, is this your first time joining us?

Speaker 5

It is, yes, this is my first time here.

Speaker 8

Alright, so so far, what is your general consensus? How do you feel?

Speaker 5

It's such an amazing environment, and I love seeing everyone's style and the way they chose to dress up tonight.

Speaker 8

Tonight, it's about the people.

Speaker 6

Alright, so I'm here with Maddie now from Afterglow. She did my beautiful tan. That's why I'm so bronzed. Otherwise, never the case. But anyway, Maddie, you have a very special story about your dress tonight. Talk to us about that. So I was a 2020 graduate, so I didn't have a prom. So I've had this prom dress sitting in my closet for six years. So when the theme was to wear whatever, I just decided to pull this out. So this is what I'm wearing today. Brush that dust off! You saved it for that long? Yeah, I sure did. Why did you save it? What made you like say I'm keeping this even though I'm never wearing it? I think it's kind of like a sentimental thing because I didn't have a prom, so I was like, I never get to wear it. So it's just nice to look at, but now I have an opportunity to actually wear it. So here we are. Perfect. Well, you look beautiful, thank you.

Speaker 8

I'm here with a fellow business owner and a really dear friend, as we like to call a real s. Ooh. Danielle DeSantis from the 201. You already know, you already know. Listen, she is bear cups, fake house. I am what I am. And let me tell you this: it's always fun connecting with people who are about the community and about what they're doing. How do you feel about tonight?

Speaker 1

I feel amazing. I'm in my philanthropic era. I really, really love supporting Wellspring. I really love supporting women. Um, I've got all my amazing women with me from Bears Cup tonight. They're all stunning, gorgeous, smart, intelligent, perfect, philanthropic queens in the world. And that's what we like to celebrate, huh?

Speaker 8

That's what we're here to celebrate.

Speaker 1

So, what happened was my revolve overnight order didn't come overnight, and I have a bone to pick with them, but that's that's okay. I'm wearing my birthday dress from 2022, and uh we're making it work with a bathing suit underneath. Yes!

Speaker 6

I'm here with Alyssa and bruh. And Alyssa, you own a hair salon. It's on a lot of people's hair tonight. What if people come in? Okay, everyone wants this like Pam Anderson, undone, sexy, up to like Kim Kardashian. She's back. She's back. Yes. Alright. Yes. You look beautiful. What were you going for tonight? Um, the dancing emoji? You nailed it. Nailed it, nailed it. And Brooke, stunning as always. Now we're here with a former alum winner, Mindy. What? This is it. You just kill it every single year. What are you wearing, girl? Mew Mew. I actually found it last year for the event and then decided to go with a different outfit I bought for the previous event. I was gonna say, you just keep pulling from the previous year, don't you? I like I splurge and I buy things that I want to wear at some point. I'm like, I'll find somewhere to wear it. This one was gonna be a little harder, but really happy that. You look like Princess Jasmine. You're stunning, absolutely stunning. I'm here with Gloria. How are you doing in that you're right? Who are you wearing? What are you wearing?

Speaker 4

That the first silver dress, I wore my wedding dress.

Speaker 6

I remember.

Speaker 4

And so this is actually my after-party wedding dress. Oh my gosh! So I'm wearing, I'm closing the loop on this by wearing my second wedding dress. Stunning. And uh, it actually is even more meaningful. My aunt was obsessed with my dress. Oh, and your aunt, yeah, just pressed away. Yes, and um, she actually wore this dress to her wedding for my Uncle David. So, and actually the reason it fits me because I was a lot bigger when I got here, is because she she tailored it, and this is like my aunt, like my aunt got married in this.

Speaker 6

It's super that's what I love about tonight is I'm hearing so many meaningful stories. You look beautiful. Woo! Today I am wearing a fabulous piece from my closet. Oh! Same cycled from a wedding when I was two years post-part of. Quick pause for a second. If you're a local business owner and you're listening to this podcast right now, there's a good chance your customers are too. So if you'd like your business featured on Off-Track Saratoga, send us a message on Instagram or reach out through our page. We'd love to work with you. All right, let's get back to the episode.

Speaker 8

So tell us, what are you wearing and why?

Speaker 3

Uh, well, uh, it's a breast cancer survivor. I thought it nice to get dressed up and maybe can't pull them out. Highlight the highlight the headlights. Highlights. This is a fantastic, fantastic. I was just talking to see Stevie. We um domestic violence and is and sexual violence is really prevalent. I mean, people don't really talk about it, and they don't um they like to just brush it under the rug. So we do a lot.

Speaker 8

I have a woman's group and we do a lot with them, and um, it's just important, and uh this is a great, great event for no, we're here to uplift everyone, but we're also here to shed light on the things that are serious while having a really great time.

Speaker 6

Okay, so I am here now with what's her name?

Speaker 8

Her name is Mo.

Speaker 6

Mel? Yes, Mel. Okay, Mel, who and what are you wearing, and what where did this idea get inspiration from?

Speaker

So tonight I'm wearing a smoker's jacket. Um, I wanted to kind of fit the vibe, kinda now that I'm on the judge's panel this year, I wanted to kind of play like give a judge one versus like a a top fashion. You like the part!

Speaker 6

Do you feel the part? I feel it. Carrie, who are you wearing? Carrie's a pun. Oh my god, I don't even know the designer, but it's a newly dress that I rented last minute and it just happened to work out. You know, I'm dying to try newly. I've heard amazing things. How many things have you gotten from there? So many things. It is so great. It's a hundred bucks a month for six items. Whatever. Is this a commercial? I should. This is not sponsored, but it would love to be sponsored. Do you want to sponsor me? I wear newly all the time and I love it. Alright, I'm over here with Nikki Mazzetti. Nikki, what are you wearing today? Um, just wearing a big sparkly dress from the closet. So wait, literally from your closet. Do you tell who made it? No. No. He looks studying. But you know, I love this event. I think it's so fun. Just like women women, empowering women, and just here with a bunch of our friends having a good time.

Speaker 8

All right, give us just a few minutes. We're tallying here in real time for our top three for the final three. Our second place winner is none other than number 20, Mandy. She did that. You better. And tonight's number one winner for Overdress to Impress. That's like super. I'm trying to be cute for my pod. All right. Up next, for our first place winner for the 2026 Overdress to Impress, we have number 47. Name is Brittany. You better work.

Speaker 9

I'm shocked.

Speaker 7

I know you didn't even answer when I called your number. Oh my god, I'm just here for a teenager who had like problems when I had so much. Britney, what are you wearing, girl? I want to be a Barbie, so I am working on a right-the runway. Couldn't tell you who it was because I just had a beauty hair. But I do have my mom's vintage crystal hair and her vintage fur from the 80s. And my daughter was crying. She's like, what do you mean you're going to be a Barbie without me? So we better work for her then.

Speaker 8

Let's hear it for everybody who walked in tonight. Let's hear it for everybody who took time to come and join us. We see all of y'all, we celebrate you. We're here for Wellspring. Period. Y'all better work. Y'all look good. I want to thank everybody for coming out tonight. This is the final overdress to impress. I am thrilled to have you all here.
