Two beautiful poems explore the many faces of true love.
One reflects on love's coming and going, and the memories it leaves behind. The other celebrates love as a fragrance of the soul: something that longs to be seen, shared, and spread through the world.
Together, they offer a moving meditation on love's beauty, longing, and enduring presence.
Bashir Badr
Log tuut jaate hain ek ghar banane mein
Tum taras nahi khate bastiyan jalane mein
Aur jaam tuutenge iss sharab-khane mein
Mausamon ke aane mein mausamon ke jaane mein
Har Dhadakte patthar ko log dil samajhte hain
Umrein beet jaatī hain dil ko dil banane mein
Fakhta (Dove) kī majboori ye bhī kah nahi sakti
Kaun saap rakhta hai us ke ashiyane mein
Doosri koi ladji zindagī mein ayegi
Kitni der lagti hai us ko bhool jaane mein
