A clear, unapologetic look at Transgender Day of Visibility, why sex is a fixed biological and God-given reality, and how activists and politicians are misleading our communities about what it means to be male and female.

A man cannot be a woman. Today is the perfect day to celebrate that. This is the Wilmington Standard Daily Update for Monday, March 31st, 2026. In places like Carrboro, North Carolina, and in various other places across this great land, today is dedicated to Transgender Day of Visibility. According to Barbara Foushee, the mayor of Carrboro, the transgender community includes all those whose gender does not align with the sex they were assigned at birth, including many non-binary and third gender people. No, Mayor Foushee, sex is not assigned at birth. It is not a social construct designed to maintain the intersectional suppression of non-white men in furtherance of the patriarchy, or any word salad that the liberal left uses. Sex is a genetic reality. If anyone assigns sex to children at birth, it is God, and we really need to stop arguing with him over this. But if we were to ignore the divine and just focus on the science that we are supposed to trust, we will come to find that no amount of surgeries, no amount of body destructions and manipulations, no cocktail of hormones, and no large shopping sprees to change wardrobes can alter a person at the genetic level. Those genetics determine body mass, bone density, overall body fat and strength. Females produce eggs because of genetics. Males produce sperm, neither of which science is able to replicate. There is even a difference in how the brains work. In regard to those third genders, science also shows that they make up less than 0.25% of our population, and they are not really third genders at all, but genetic discrepancies. To the men and women in the transgender community, we do indeed see you, and we do indeed feel sorry for you, for you have been fed a lie that who you are was determined by some random doctor. In that regards, nothing is farther from the truth. You are who you are, including the fact that you are male or female down to your genetic core because a loving God made you that way. And there is no changing that. For the Wilmington Standard, I'm Reuel Sample. Thanks for listening.
