SPEAKER_05Anuballore del Anna. Keep your eyes on the horizon. Gather at the inn. It's safe there. Our hospitality is yours.
SPEAKER_04All guests are welcome here. Hello and welcome to the Delvers Inn.
SPEAKER_00I'm Sinaila.
SPEAKER_01And I'm Zumanaki.
SPEAKER_00And Zumo's feeling pretty silly tonight. So I think it's gonna be an interesting podcast. So fun things that happened this week. I know a lot of people could have probably already gotten to Nightmare Mode, but this was the first week that we leveled up our rep with the shady person to get to nightmare mode. And by we you mean you well you were you were a little bit a little bit ahead of me, but you didn't get nightmare as soon as it dropped.
SPEAKER_01No. But I did have it last week.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So you know, that was that was fun to figure out for sure.
SPEAKER_01It's a lot different.
SPEAKER_00It is. You you get the additional affixes basically to your to your prey mode. You got the what we call the shadow fixate mechanic, which is when something basically targets you and kind of slowly approaches, and if it reaches you, you get a very nasty debuff that's basically an insta-kill.
SPEAKER_01Unless you use some like damage reduction ability or you've got some self-healing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. But you can either run away from it or you can interrupt it. So that's one.
SPEAKER_01So I'm usually fearing it. But you know, if you can stun it, knock it up, your shaman. I don't know what other classes have knockups.
SPEAKER_00I just use my interrupt shot.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, if you can actually interrupt.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. And then there's what we like to call the pushy Astalore mechanic.
SPEAKER_05Kill for me.
SPEAKER_00Do it now. So you have 15 seconds to kill something. Anything. You just really need some murder right then and there. So we have figured out that if you are working on a moat of anguish and you get this mechanic drop, killing a moat of anguish does not count towards killing a thing. However, a critter does. So if you can find a critter in the nearby facil vicinity, that counts as murder most extreme to cause anguish.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I saw that if you have the critter cannon toy from from Legion that like summons a critter, yeah, you can kill that critter and that counts as well. So if you're just in the middle of nowhere, you've got no chance of getting to that mob in time, you can just summon a critter at your feet and put them out of your misery.
SPEAKER_00Of their anguish. If you are already engaged with a mob and it pops this mechanic, and you finish your fight with that mob, that does count as well. So it doesn't have to be a new target. It just has to, you have to kill a target within that 15 seconds.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I love it when that happens.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I feel like the smartest person in the world.
SPEAKER_00I was already gonna. But you can kind of anticipate a little bit when it's gonna happen. I feel like I can.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you you seem like you can. I I did not get the same sense of this, but explain your game.
SPEAKER_04So I feel like they go on a rotation where we have the ambush.
SPEAKER_00Are we actually online?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Sorry, it didn't look like we were.
SPEAKER_01I just I haven't paused.
SPEAKER_00I'm such a millennial. Is this thing on? So I feel like the nightmare mechanics do rotate. So if you kind of figured out the order, which I believe is ambush, shadow, astalore kill. When you have one, you can kind of guess what your next is gonna be. But I feel like ambushes obviously only happen after you've targeted another yeah, when you're in combat. When you're in combat, you get ambushed. So if you spend a little bit of time out of combat, I think it makes it more likely that these affixes will stack basically. So I know, hey, like I'm due for an ambush, but it's been a little bit since I've been in combat. So I can anticipate that likely during my ambush, I will get a shadow affix. So I can kind of be on the lookout for that. I'm not a hundred percent positive that's how it works, but when I started to kind of pay attention and kind of keep track, I'm like, okay, I should get a shadow next. Okay, I should get Astolarn next. And I was right every time. So maybe that's just for me because I'm always in a state of perpetual rightness.
SPEAKER_01Or maybe you're just your play style like makes it line up to this very specific pattern that you can read the kind of groove that you're playing in. Because I got a very different feeling, it seemed much more random. I definitely got a lot fewer ambushes compared to the other ones. Like yesterday I did one, and I think I only got one ambush the entire time. Um, but I was getting like quite a few shadows and kill commands. Um it just be that your specific like playstyle, the rhythm that you're like, how often you're mounting up, flying around, fighting things, you end up in this specific pattern where it's much more evenly distributed and you can easily predict what's what's going to happen next.
SPEAKER_00Because I I felt like if I kept my combat pretty steady, I could okay. I just had my ambush. Next will be the shadow. Where is it? There it is. Interrupt. Okay, now I'm gonna need to kill something again, so go kill something. And it's been it hasn't been that long since my last ambush, so I'll probably have to kill some more things before I get my next ambush. And I don't know, maybe that's just being a hunter, maybe that's just being me. But it worked really well, and so I was able the other thing I do is once I get my nightmare prey directive, I head straight for the world event, and I just work on the world event immediately.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, same.
SPEAKER_00Because unfortunately, nightmare is not really something that you can work on while doing other things, right?
SPEAKER_01Which I'm uh I'm a little bit sad about. I really enjoyed the flow of you know, more than normal and hard mode praise, where I could weave them in with like doing all of my quests for South Rail Soiree or whatever other world quests that are up, and I could you know kind of work on those all at the same time. But yeah, nightmare, I very much feel like I need to be focusing on just nightmare, trying to get that done as fast as possible, you know, especially with like the scaling debuff that's based on time. When I was doing the normals or hards and kind of like taking a more leisurely stroll, I'd look at my timer at the end completing like the prey that it pops up with your stats, and it would be like elapsed time on hunt, 25 minutes.
SPEAKER_00Ha, you still got them done in 25 minutes. It was like 45 minutes, and I was like, Oops, oh well. Had to stop and do some fishing, you know, like right.
SPEAKER_01But then when your debuff every minute it's ticking up by another like four or five percent.
SPEAKER_00Right. Could you clarify the difference between the debuffs between hard and nightmare?
SPEAKER_01Sure. On hard, the debuff scaled with how far along your prey hunt you were. So as you made progress, your debuff would stack higher and higher. Versus on nightmare, it scales independent of how much progress you're making and entirely just scales on how long you've been on the hunt. The timer pauses, like when you're in a safe zone, like a town or an inn, but otherwise every minute it's just gonna go up by I think it's 4% damage taken increased. So if you you know not don't really focus on it and you end up taking 25 minutes, you've got a 100% damage increase. You're taking literally twice as much damage. And with like the shadow or failing the kill command already doing more damage than my entire health bar. Like if we're talking now that's doubled, I'm not sure I can survive that.
SPEAKER_00Sorry, kill command is a registered trademark of the hunter rotation.
SPEAKER_01Well, I sure feel like he's got me on a leash and not in a good way.
SPEAKER_00Excuse me, you can't call it kill command because I'm a hunter and I call it kill command. So we call it Astalore being pushy. Okay, but yeah, so I I I think Nightmare isn't terrible, it's a little annoying, but I personally find it like it worked out well for me this last week because it filled up my vault very nicely. And when you were done delving with me, I would rather do nightmare by myself than delves by myself. So I I do feel like if you've got like group content that you're doing with people, but then you've got some time to kill just doing something by yourself, like you know, pray is pray is a nice thing to to go off and do in your additional time.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01And if I'm just focusing on nightmare prey, you know, I'm it's taking me like five minutes to get the hunt part done. Yeah, so it's not like a super large time investment. I just kind of liked the what do you what do you want to call it, the the path better when I didn't have to just solo focus on doing the hunt when I could incorporate it with everything else that I'm doing and kind of just get it done when I get it done. Uh take a more laissez-faire approach. But yeah, it if you're laser focusing on it, it doesn't take that long, it's not that bad. I think one time I ended up getting stuck in like a circle of dying because I went in the middle of the Ursac village, which has a couple of like boss mobs, and just got like dead, dead, dead over and over again last week. I'm like, okay, I just don't go over there anymore.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. There there are, you know, in this expansion similar to the last one, some of those little kind of end game zones that are just very elite heavy. I kind of hope that they come up with something cool to do there that'll like get you a nice reward, like the honeypot from the bee area. Where you go so in the war within there was that area with the cinder bees.
SPEAKER_01Right on the Isle of Dorn, right? It was over by the meetery that had the bees and like the lightning wolves, right?
SPEAKER_00Which was like you know, kind of very dangerous at the beginning of the expansion, but then towards the end of the expansion, there was incentive to go over there. So I'm hoping they'll come up with something fun for those areas.
SPEAKER_01See, my incentive to go over there was present at the beginning of the expansion because you could trade in all of that honey for a bee mount.
SPEAKER_00Right. Well, and that that was the other thing about Prey, is that it didn't have as many incentives. Like Delves, like, in addition to filling up your vault and gearing up, there are some nice cosmetic rewards that you can exchange for your undercoin, cool things that you can buy from there, and there's like a nice variety of rewards, like there's mounts and there's appearances and there's housing decor. Prey doesn't have as much variety in the rewards that I could see, like just not as much stuff, right? Is there a mount that you're working towards?
SPEAKER_01I I feel kind of the opposite. I feel like I'm getting better cosmetic rewards from Prey than from Delves at the moment. Because like delves have two mounts, I think. Um, and they're they're both the same mount, which are recolored. Prey has three mounts, but it's also the same, it's kind of recolored. Like you've got a blue mana worm without armor, a blue mana worm with armor, and then a golden mana worm with armor. So like that's basically recolors, right? But then I feel like they do have some cool cosmetic stuff. Like the armor set from Prey's is a lot cooler than the armor set from Delves.
SPEAKER_00It's just because you like red.
SPEAKER_01I do like red. Yeah, I think the but I think the recolor of like the the purple voidy set that you get from doing the void spire like storyline is cooler than the um just the dungeon set, right? It's the hair in ear dungeon set that the delve set is a recolor of.
SPEAKER_04No, it is I mixed up.
SPEAKER_01Okay, you're gonna look that up. Yeah. Um but you also can get like a cool backpack that I saw. So I don't know. I feel like the like you you get a hearthstone, which I'm I'm also a big fan of the different hearthstones.
SPEAKER_00No, yeah, you love your hearthstones.
SPEAKER_01I absolutely love the one that you could get out of the last raid in Warwithin that summons the big like pool of void around you. Um yeah, big fan of hearthstones. So you can get a hearthstone from Prey.
SPEAKER_00You're right, it is the Heronier set, and it's a purple burgundy haironier set, which is obviously why I love it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so if that if that's your thing, I can see how like that's really cool. That's just not my thing.
SPEAKER_00The Delve set is better than the Hunter raid set. I'm sorry. I'm gonna say it. Even even the mythic purple one is still goofy, and the hairinier set is just better.
SPEAKER_01To each their own.
SPEAKER_00Yep.
SPEAKER_01So I I th I I think that I like what I'm getting as bonus rewards from delves or sorry, from prey better than delves. Delves definitely have the better gear in the long term. Because eventually you will be able to get well, I mean, right now you can get the maps that drop from delves, which you can use to either get a heroic piece from delves or you can turn it in. I haven't tried this, but able to turn it into like buy heroic gear from prey.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01So that you can target the different drops. Like the one in the delves will be heroic versions of the gear that drops in delves, and the one from prey would be like heroic, what prey drops. So you could kind of target what you want with that eventually. But then in delves as well, when you get to like rank nine or ten in your journey, you'll be able to just get heroic pieces to drop from the bountiful chest at the end. It's like prey, as far as I'm aware, doesn't have that ability to just straight up drop hero gear. Also doesn't have a way to drop myth crests. Or yeah, they are called myth crests. I've called them gilded for so long, I just assumed I messed it up.
SPEAKER_00Well, we do get a gilded stash. So if it's called a gilded stash in the journey, why aren't they gilded crests? You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_01Well, yeah, but then when you get the gilded stash at rank two, it doesn't even drop the myth crests. Oh, heroic. It doesn't start dropping mythcrests until at rank four when you get the gilded jackpot.
SPEAKER_00Okay, but why is it gilded?
SPEAKER_01I I don't the terminology is really consistent.
SPEAKER_00But now when you say mythcrest, that just makes me think of the myth beast from the Mandalorian. The Mythosaurus.
SPEAKER_01Yep, I see where you're going with that.
SPEAKER_00Oh, myth. I'm I have uh the Mythcrest trophy that I cut off this Mythosaurus because I am the wielder of the black lightsaber. I am the Mando Supreme.
SPEAKER_01Well, speaking of I lost where the translation was, but I feel like Prey is also giving some pretty cool housing decor with like all of the trophies.
SPEAKER_00Okay, you don't like the trophies. So this is my thing. This is probably why I think the the prey rewards aren't that good because I'm not super interested in the mounds, I don't like the appearance as much, and the housing is just the trophies. And at first I was like, what the heck am I gonna do with all of these? Like, what am I gonna do with all of these stupid busts? Like, I don't have a Grecian garden that I'm going to like display all of them in. So originally I was like putting them up and around on little shelves in our, you know, in our Delvers cave bar over here. And then I was like, oh, I don't even have like there's so many of them. Where am I gonna put them all? I don't have enough room. So then I decided that we're gonna make a chest set.
SPEAKER_01You tried to make it outside.
SPEAKER_00I tried to make it outside and I didn't have enough housing thing, but we're gonna make a big indoor chest and we're gonna use all of the bus sets, which I know other people have done first. It was not original idea of mine, but I think that is the best idea of what to do with them. So that's what we'll be doing is we're gonna have a big chess set in the Delvers Inn and we'll use all of our prey trophies as as game pieces so that our guests can enjoy a rousing, uh, you know, strategic game of prey chest. Prey chess? Prey chess. I like it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think they're cool rewards. I like that there are so many. There's like 30 different busts you can get with three different bases, like 90 pieces of decor.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and where are you gonna put them?
SPEAKER_01I don't know because I don't decorate the inside of my house.
SPEAKER_00No, I do, and I'm t I'm telling you right now that I'm willing to put them nowhere.
SPEAKER_01I'd almost like a small chest set instead of a giant one. Can you shrink them really small?
SPEAKER_00You can shrink them pretty small.
SPEAKER_01Not like actual chest pieces size?
SPEAKER_00Not quite. They're gonna be a little bit bigger than a two-scale chest set. Ooh, you know what we could do is like line them along some kind of spooky spiral staircase a la haunted mansion. Or like have them all like set like a bunch of them set up in the garden and pretend they're like singing a little like quartet, quintet.
SPEAKER_01Don't close your eyes and don't try to hide.
SPEAKER_00So good.
SPEAKER_01That would be fun.
SPEAKER_00Yes, I think so. Okay, that's what I'll do at your house. We'll do chess in the inn and we'll do Haunted Mansion in Zumernaki's Undead, Forsaken. Tell us a little bit about your house, because I think it's a really cute story.
SPEAKER_01There's a story?
SPEAKER_00There is, yes. Like it is part of the backstory for your character. And so when you said, like, I'm not gonna, I decorated the outside of my house, I'm not gonna decorate the inside of my house. You're welcome to do it. And I was like, okay, what's your vision for your house? Is it just gonna be like very Forsaken y, like all the way through? And you said no, because there's more to Zumo than that. So tell us a little bit about your house.
SPEAKER_01Well, so Zumo used to be human, right? And he was a member of the Magi of Dalaran, right? He was he went to school there, was originally a mage, and was present when Arthas showed up and sacked the city. Um, and so that's how he kind of met his fate. And I hadn't really thought about like reaching back out to that past of his. I kind of felt like bridges burned by all of the humans' hatred of the Forsaken. And it was really the end of or I guess the middle of War Within, where you go to the island. That Dalaran's pieces kind of shattered and rained down on, and you're trying to clean up everything, recover what was lost. And it kind of ends with all of the mages of Dalaran having shown up and responded to the call and sending away all of the little boats for this mass funeral that they're showing, and everybody starts channeling their magic, and then Zuma's right there with them, being accepted and treated like an equal, and he channeled his magic as well. And for the first time that I've seen in World of Warcraft, he doesn't channel the purple of his shadow magic or the fell green of his demonic magic, but he reaches out with that bright blue arcane magic that he hasn't used in decades. And just really opened up that idea that maybe that chapter of his life doesn't need to be closed behind like a door that was slammed and then locked shut forever. So I I definitely wanted some of that reflections of his past. Like Lordaron wasn't always you know spooky, scary skeletons and giant spiders. Like it used to be a a living, lovely country. So reaching out to that past, like of being from Lordaron, of living and studying in Dalaran.
SPEAKER_04And kind of reopening like a chapter on that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So we so I decorated your housing interior with a lot of like Lordaron blue. But Lordaeron had some some blue theming heraldry, if you want to say.
SPEAKER_01Right, like on the the cool shield that you could get from Oh gosh, when did that dungeon come out? Was that Wrath of the Lich King when we went and did the purging of Stratholm? You could get that giant shield with like the Lorderon L on it, and it was all in gold and blue color motifs with like the big crossed swords behind the shield. Shield was so cool.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I definitely would have had that if I wasn't playing a warlock.
SPEAKER_00So we we put like some Lorderon tables, and they're they are a little bit Forsaken y tables, but you know, lots of blue drapery, and then we did some Lorderon lanterns that were not with the fell fire, but with the regular the orange and red flames, orange red flames, and then you of course have your alchemy lab, but then you also have a little bit nobody's supposed to know about that. No, no, no.
SPEAKER_01Like you're Zumo's not an alchemist. Zumo is a tailor and an enchanter.
SPEAKER_00That's right.
SPEAKER_01He has never been an alchemist, and be because undead can't be alchemists anymore.
SPEAKER_00Got it, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Ever since the Wrath Gate, that draws very heavy suspicion. Nope, no alchemists here. No Siri. Just a tailor and an enchanter.
SPEAKER_00We have your tailoring enchanting workshop, which definitely does not have a secret door to your alchemy lab, which is also where we stashed all of your fell stuff. And you have your little arcane library, because I I love all the like people have made some incredible libraries, but there is a lot of really good stuff that lends itself to like kind of a Dalaran style arcane library. I really love the little whirlwind of flying books, like that's always really, really cool. And then we have your silly playroom where we just put all the wacky stuff. So we got some goblin stuff in there, set up a little table to look like a PC gaming station, all of the like bright, colorful, kind of silly things.
SPEAKER_01Great. And I that that was another thing that kind of thinking about that whole storyline of picking up the pieces of Dalarin and trying to move forward kind of opened my eyes to, you know, the way that the things that I do and the way that I play Zumo versus like who his character is. I hadn't really thought of him as somebody that had a really playful, kind of silly side. But I have this very long-standing history on Zumo of having all of these very silly disguised toys and running around with them just looking ridiculous.
SPEAKER_00Stand up and show us your cape.
SPEAKER_01My cape's not silly. What are you talking about? This is an amazing cape. This is the best cape in the game.
SPEAKER_00It has a very cartoony style skull on it in red and purple, and then the skull is outlined in green, and it reminds me a lot of like hot topic, like more cartoony type, skelly.
SPEAKER_01Makes me you know it makes me think of Grim Fandango.
SPEAKER_00Okay. I have no idea what that is, but yeah. So I th I think you do display your silly side, and I wanted your house to reflect that.
SPEAKER_01I definitely don't have a lot of a lot of toys like this. Way too my hotbars.
SPEAKER_00Nope.
SPEAKER_01Or although this one was great.
SPEAKER_00If you want if you want to be close to my heart, of course, being a mushroom or a spider is going to endear yourself to me. I think you have those hot on your hotbar because you wanted to like fit my newest aesthetic, right? Yeah, that's why you have those specific toys on your hotbar.
SPEAKER_01Yep, for sure.
SPEAKER_00Oh man, Ganon or Gammon. Gammon.
SPEAKER_01He's not gonna take over Hyrule.
SPEAKER_00Well, I mean, it would be appropriate if he did because that's another one of your favorite IPs. Up until Breath of the Wild, but we don't talk about that.
SPEAKER_01It's fine, um it's fine, it's just not what I want.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So how do we get on this tangent? Oh, the housing talking about housing, yeah. Yeah, the housing decor from the prey system and the silliness. So now that I've like found a purpose for all of the busts, I guess that's fine. But I I really like cozy stuff. So give me my teacups, give me my dishes of hot, steaming, cozy food for my banquet table. Those are all the things I want.
SPEAKER_01You don't want you don't want hardcore housing?
SPEAKER_00Hardcore. All right, tell us about so today is April 3rd. We are two days out from the April Fool's tomfoolery. Explain to us what happened on April Fool's.
SPEAKER_01So I got got a little bit because I woke up on April 1st, completely forgot that it was April Fool's, and started looking at articles and stuff, and just kind of not really paying attention. So I did see the April Fools article very just very quickly, like didn't read it very much. All I saw was something about like people are able to have tails now. I'm like, oh okay, I guess that's that's kind of cool. But then I was drawn to the previous article that was only like a handful of hours older than the actual April Fool's one, that was talking about some actual, like, quite cool features about being able to change what your weapon does when you sheath it, such as being able to decide whether you want it to be sheathed on your back versus on your hip, or if you want it to just disappear completely when you sheathe it. And I was really excited about that because we've we've talked about how when you go into your house and you've got this very cozy motif, you know, you've got some nice PJs on or something, you know, maybe you don't want to have a giant sword like at your hip, you know, or a staff across your back. And wouldn't it be nice if you could just disappear those while you're in your home?
SPEAKER_00I did find a bit of a workaround for that because I found that if I was wearing a backpack or some other back item that would clip really bad into the weapon, that it would make the weapon disappear. Yeah, specifically my bow. I guess I haven't tried it with a lot of other things, but so like when I put on my cozy outfit for the podcast, you've got fairy wings. I today I have fairy wings. I had that, oh, that um mobile like baking station. That is cozy F. Or like when I was in my onesie, the little Murloc backpack worked really well.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I just don't have any backpacks that look good with anything that I would want to wear inside.
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, I saw that and I was I was really quite excited. I'm like, great, a lot of people are gonna like that. I know we're gonna like that. That's awesome. And then, like an hour or two later, I realized it was April Fool's, and I'm like, oh no. Like, okay, that can't be fake. They're gonna make so many people upset if they're like, Yeah, you can wear your weapon on your back or your hip or just make it disappear. April Fools. And thankfully it ended up not being April Fools. The tails thing ended up being April Fools.
SPEAKER_00What a roller coaster of emotions.
SPEAKER_01It was it was a day. But you know, if going back and reading the article and actually paying attention to it, they were specifically talking about just dwarves can have tails, and it's like, okay, clearly that doesn't make any sense. Yeah, they talked about hardcore housing of like you get a mortgage and you have to pay maintenance fees, and like oh, yeah, no, that's not even funny, Blizz.
SPEAKER_00Like, this is supposed to be escape, is like this is the place where I can decorate my house the way I want to, and not have to worry about hitting my credit limit, like and not being able to pay the mortgage. Like, we don't want that. Thank you. I guess they have to kind of do like crappy stuff for April Fool's Day, because if then if it's like like you said, like if it's something really good, then they're gonna get in trouble if they don't actually do it.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_00I mean, how many products, how many like retailers have like put out a fake product and everybody was like, no, actually, we really want that.
SPEAKER_01I I love that once upon a time the Pandaren were an April Fool's joke, and then years later they ended up being real.
SPEAKER_00You know what it was apparently this year? Trader Joe's. I don't know if anybody's familiar with Trader Joe's. I don't that you haven't been there very many times, if at all. Have I ever taken you to Trader Joe's?
SPEAKER_01I've been to I've been to Trader Joe's a couple times, so my favorite place in the world.
SPEAKER_00I guess everybody really loves the rolled like Tostitos style chili lime chips. So it's like a chili lime tostitos rolled up into like a little like stick.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00And it's really, really popular. So they put out a f a chili lime chip flavored lip mask. So like this this the all the lip glosses that are like Dr. Pepper flavored or whatever, but it's like a hydrating mask for your lips that's in the chili lime flavor. And everybody's like, actually, yeah, like lip plumpers. Hello, that'd be amazing. So it it remains to be seen if they will follow up on that. But everybody was actually really excited about it.
SPEAKER_01Uh let's see, what was the other April Fool's stuff in that article?
SPEAKER_00The one that went right over your head.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, the Mythic Plus Plus Plus. I got through reading that section in its entirety the second time and got to the very end where it was like amaze, amaze, amaze. And I'm like, wait a minute, this is a this is a Project Hail Mary reference. This entire thing.
SPEAKER_00It's not like we are reading the book right now. We are almost done with it.
SPEAKER_01Like this entire thing is a not subtle project hail mary.
SPEAKER_00Not subtle at all, but you still didn't get it till the end.
SPEAKER_01Nope, because I was just reading it at face value, like trying to so literal.
SPEAKER_00Like a because you didn't know it was April Fool's when you first read it, right?
SPEAKER_01I didn't even read that paragraph when it was actually April 1st. I read it after the fact. Because, like I said, I just kind of scanned through that one and didn't see anything really that interesting.
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01I don't even think I saw the Mythic Plus Plus Plus, because that would have been a big clue that that was an April Fool's article.
SPEAKER_00But if there's if there's any other, you know, sci-fi fans out there, it is a really good book. And we haven't seen the movie yet. We're almost done with the book. I think honestly, we've kind of like hit the climax, and there's probably just gonna be a lot of falling action at this point. But I had heard from people who did see the movie, both from those who hadn't read the book and who had read the book, that it skipped a lot of the science, which is our favorite part of the book. So I think in light of that, we're not gonna rush out and like get a babysitter to go see it in theaters. I think we'll probably just wait till it's streaming. Because it as a fun supplement to a book, but not as good as the book. Like it's not something I have to see in theaters. But so if April Fools was mostly treats, definitely the big trick this week was getting spoiled on the new raid cinematic. It was very sad because I got totally taken in by some clickbait.
SPEAKER_01Made it through the first raid.
SPEAKER_00Yep, didn't get spoiled on the first raid, saw the cinematic, had a really good time like experiencing that in story mode, and you know, kind of like thinking about it and talking about it. But then this one, I thought it was an article about Shadowlands. Spoiler alert. It wasn't, and and they had the video link to the cinematic right in the middle of the article. So by the time I figured out what it was actually about, it was already like showing the cinematic. So that was a little bit sad. We will not spoil it today because story mode does not come out until next week.
SPEAKER_01And I'll just reiterate my disappointment about that from the first raid. I don't get it.
SPEAKER_00I think we can further delve into that. I I think it is unreasonable to delay story mode because we are not getting any power benefit from it.
SPEAKER_01Great. So the rewards from March on Keldanas quest to complete the raid, you get a hearthstone, you get 1k silver moon court rep, and you get 10 champion dawn crests. Definitely seems like things that you need to keep out of people's hands for a week.
SPEAKER_00Well, and I mean, like, if so, who are you gonna be the story mode people? The people that are not engaging in the raid content. But that doesn't mean we're not doing anything. Like, we might be doing Mythic Plus or Delves, right? So as people who are like not interested in group content, I do my delves with my hubby, I do my prey. If I need to do a dungeon, I do a follower dungeon, or if I want to see the plot of a dungeon, I do a follower's dungeon. And when I want to know what happened at the end of the raid, because it is very still central to the main storyline, the main storyline goes through the raid, it always has and it continues to do so. But I can't see it unless I do story mode, because I'm not going to do raid content. And even if I did, even if I did LFR, which you can't, because that's not open. Which you can't because it's not open that this week either. But even if I was doing something like that, they're not gonna wait for me to watch the cinematic. Like people are like in and out, and like it's not you if you're doing LFR, you're not there to see the story. So I really don't understand why what benefit there is to delaying the story mode, because it's just people's understanding of what's going on. And so if if you're I don't know, watching the rate or the race to world first, are they gonna like stop and like respectfully show the cinematic and like have a discussion about it? No, like it that's not the point of what they're doing, so why not just let people experience the story as it happens, right?
SPEAKER_01And not have to worry about how do I make sure I don't get spoiled for a week until story mode opens.
SPEAKER_00And we can get into this more next week, too. But as and if story mode doesn't actually even give you the full context, then it's extra disappointing. Because if I wanted no context, I would just watch the cinematic on YouTube.
SPEAKER_01Right. Yeah, I think for the first time since they introduced story mode, which came about in War Within, right? It was Queen Answerek was the first time that we had story mode in Narabar Palace. So I think all of the raids in War Within did story mode really well. But that's also because the story there was quite simple and straightforward. You had all the quests leading up to the raid, which are okay, we gotta go kill Queen Ansark, we gotta take her out. Bad things are happening, she's not good. And so that's the story, the questing story leading up to it. You sign up for story mode and you go into the raid and you kill Queen Answerek because she's not good. There you go. Works very well. Copy paste to all of the other raids. She killed your mother in the war within. But then Void Spire, you do all the quests leading up to Void Spire, and it's okay, we gotta stop Zalotath. Zalotath's not good. We gotta take her out. Here we go. Final push. We're gonna storm it and fight her armies and take out Zalotath. And then you queue up for story mode and you zone in and you fight Illyria.
SPEAKER_00Well, I mean, to be fair, they shouldn't have set it up like, oh, we're gonna go kill Zalotath. Because obviously everybody knows we're not gonna kill Zalotath. In the first raid of the in the first raid of the big void of the second expansion in a trilogy.
SPEAKER_01I don't know. The trilogy could not be entirely about Zalotath. Like, I'm not convinced she's gonna make it through and be the final big bad of the entire trilogy.
SPEAKER_00Sure, sure, sure. But not until the end of the second expansion.
SPEAKER_01Right. She's not Zalotath isn't going to be the final boss of the first raid of the midnight is all about void expansion. I agree with that.
SPEAKER_00We're not gonna just like spend two expansions like detailing all of her crimes and chasing after her, only for Thrall to like crush her in a giant stony grip, like in the first five minutes of the new expansion. Like they would never do something like that.
SPEAKER_01Great. It's just yeah, like you said, there was no context, no explanation. You you run in and it's like, alright, let's take out Zalitas, and then instead you're fighting Illyria. Like the only context is that you've got three dead paladins at your feet, like as Zalitas talking to Illyria. Yeah, so d didn't explain how we got to that point at all. Like at the very end of it, there's the Ramath has a line talking to Erator about like at least the tether worked. I'm like, what is the tether? What is this tether you're talking about? Did I miss something?
SPEAKER_00At least we don't have to listen to your mom and dad fight anymore.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, well it's it also didn't really give any answers. Like, yeah, where where are Illyria and Teralion? What happened to the Army of the Light? Are they all dead? Like we saved maybe a dozen of them, like, in the fallout quests after that raid. But like, is the rest of the Army of the Light just KIA?
SPEAKER_00Like Well, you see, Elyria and Terallion fell down the like central energy shaft of the Death Star. So we're not gonna see them again until they clone themselves and uh on the dark planet.
SPEAKER_01If if we go right. Right back into a situation where it's like Elyria and Terellian haven't been seen in decades. Nobody knows where they are. Poor Erator. Five more expansions until they come back for the second time.
SPEAKER_00Reunited. I don't know. They're fighting a lot and then they disappear again. So sad.
SPEAKER_01That would be awful. Let's not do that.
SPEAKER_00Um well, obviously, they're not dead. But it is interesting that Elyria doesn't have her Nehru anymore. So, like when she shows back up again, it's like, oh well, you ain't got no void no more, so now we're cool. I don't I don't know if I would be okay with that, but maybe that's a way to resolve things. Like, oh, you just got the void sucked right out of you, so we good.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that's that's gonna be interesting.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's no no context, no real like closure or follow-up, just a lot more questions. Like, I don't know. I'm gonna give it an F-like story mode did not do a good job with this raid.
SPEAKER_00Hmm. I mean, that is pretty typical of a lot of raid bosses. Like, if there's a chance we might need to use them for a future plot device, they don't die, they just jump into a portal or yeah, but it's like the fifth time with Zalotath. True. But no, we were like I mean, Erudicron is still out there. Um Rocky Dragon Boy. Oh my god, it would be so funny if Eritocron was like amaze, amaze, amaze.
SPEAKER_01No. I I I love the pop culture references and WoW. Like they've been doing them forever. Like they're campy, they're funny, but I feel like don't put them in like the main serious plot.
SPEAKER_00Why not?
SPEAKER_01I time and a place.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. But so you know, and like no one's ever really gone. We'll bring them back when they need to. Even death can't stop characters from coming back.
SPEAKER_01Sure. Last week we were talking about the possibility of like Chaos Os reaching out and being involved in what's going on with Astolore. Like yeah, even when they're actually dead dead, like they're not dead and gone. Um I don't know. Yeah, just color color me disappointed with story mode.
SPEAKER_00Which is too bad because it it feels like it was such a boon to everybody that was kind of on our, you know, more casual playstyle.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. I was thrilled when it was announced.
SPEAKER_00It is really because we've been complaining for years and years and years, like, do not put important storylines behind raids because people who don't want to engage in raids are missing out on the story.
SPEAKER_01So And I feel like they in in their defense a little bit, I feel like they did kind of move away from doing that for a while. And then when they brought back story mode, or when when they introduced story mode, sorry, it brought them back to feeling comfortable to put that more detailed story in the raids because it made it more accessible, it made it available to people.
SPEAKER_00I do see like the I understand the kind of storytelling reason for it. Like if you're building up something and it's coming to a great climax, it usually comes down to a big fight with some overwhelming force. So it makes sense for that climax to be in the raid. However, it's got to be accessible to everybody.
SPEAKER_01Great. And I feel like with the current format they're using, it really only works for simple stories. We're going, we're coming here, we're killing the big bad, come fight the big bad. All right, we beat the big bad, here's the cinematic that kind of puts a bow on it. I feel like if they're gonna do this more complicated storytelling where that formula doesn't work anymore, they need to do something more akin to doing a follower raid where you're not just doing the final boss, like you can go do the whole dungeon. Or I don't know. I don't know what else they would do. But if you're gonna need the whole con the context of like a bigger part of the raid in order to understand what's going on, they need to actually include the rest of that context in story mode.
SPEAKER_00And when follower dungeons were like ridiculous and annoying, I would have said, don't you utter that out loud. But follower dungeons have been fixed and like they're they're pretty decent now. Like I feel good like going through on my weekly dungeon quest to get rep. I when I when the dungeons came up naturally in the main quest line, and they were kind of part of the story, like it felt good to just go through and do them right then, which I could never do before because I wasn't about to like get a pug just to try and run this to find out what happens in this dungeon because nobody else was interested, nobody else cared, they're just like grumpy tank running through as fast as they can. So, like that same principle applied to raids. Yeah, like I think it would be great to have follower raids. And I, you know, they've done enough joke raids that I don't think it would be that hard.
SPEAKER_01Can I uh can I side tangent us just a little bit?
SPEAKER_00Go for it.
SPEAKER_01I miss the raid renown that they did with the second and third raids in The War Within. I like when when they put out story mode, I kind of stopped doing LFR, combined with them putting out delves, because I had a way to like get that those tier sets of appearances that I wanted. Um whereas like back in Dragonflight and before, I'd be running LFR like on my main to just try to get the LFR maybe normal, maybe even heroic at the point five patch that's like put out level appearances. But then I kind of stopped doing that when Delves came out, when story mode came out, because I had a better path to get that gear, and then story mode let me see kind of what was going on with the story. But then when they added the raid renown with undermine and with what was that? I don't even remember what the raid it's called. Void no forge omega, void forge omega. There we go, got there. That gave me a reason to still go in and do LFR. I didn't do a ton of the Galagia, but I did run quite a bit of Void Forge Omega. I maxed out that raid rep, and I really enjoyed that, and I enjoyed getting those rewards between the renown and the dropping the threads off the moth boss to be able to get the cloak appearances for all the classes, dropping the weapon token off of Salhadar to get the cool weapon appearances from the raids. That all gave me a reason to go back in. And so I'm kind of missing that now because I I want I'm not getting the story from story mode, but then I also don't really have a reason to really want to go for an LFR to get kind of these extras that I was getting before. I'm like, I kind of need to go do LFR to understand the story that's going on, but I really don't want to go do LFR.
SPEAKER_00I'm like to me too.
SPEAKER_01A stream and like a recording and watch somebody else playing through the raid that I can understand what's going on.
SPEAKER_00I mean, that's I'm I might be I I think this is the third time I've made this point, so maybe I'm just beating a dead Zevra. But I also feel like LFR is still not a good way to experience the story because everybody's rushing so much. Nobody's gonna let you like stop and listen to dialogue or stop and watch a cinematic.
SPEAKER_01Well, you just do it anyway, and you know bully for them.
SPEAKER_00I guess as long as you don't get kicked.
SPEAKER_01It's too hard to kick somebody.
SPEAKER_00But like I feel like I can't enjoy that when I'm running LFR because I'm so concerned about keeping up.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that external pressure to comply and like not irritate people and not let people down.
SPEAKER_00Which is the whole reason I don't play group content.
SPEAKER_01Great. Yeah, that's that's kind of where I'm at. Like, am I gonna go like try to find I don't even I don't even know who I would try to look up that would be good for watching that. Because again, like I guess I'll just wait for Noble to put out a video on it or something. Like I don't know.
SPEAKER_00I'm I mean m maybe when Tally does his cinematic analysis he'll provide more context.
SPEAKER_01Maybe. Maybe I'm just yeah, now I'm the one beating a dead horse. I'm just disappointed with with the store level of story that story mode has given me with this read.
SPEAKER_00Because it it feels like a a bone that was thrown, but the bone was not meaty. It's like too picked clean to really be of like good use to the delvers.
SPEAKER_01Right, and maybe maybe I've just been eating too well in the war within. Maybe I got too used to be good.
SPEAKER_00It was the delving life was good.
SPEAKER_01Well, and and like I said, the story mode, like it gave me everything I wanted. I by doing that just the final boss of those three raids, I feel like I got all of the story that I needed out of them. And that's just not the case here. There's a lot more story and a lot more context that is missing to get from point A to point B of all right, we're going in and we're gonna fight all the Xaloth bosses and stop Xalotath's invasion to okay, I'm just here and fighting Elyria for some reason. And yeah, then there's a cinematic and like, oh, are they dead? Are they not dead? Is everybody else dead? What's a tether? What is the tether and why did it work?
SPEAKER_00Well, the conversation that you missed was like, oh man, we need another you know, character turned raid boss. Well, Sylvanas isn't here. And nobody even knows what Varisa does, so I guess it's gotta be Illyria. Right? Like, you know, it's it's been building up for a long time of like Illyria being with like hints and oh true, because the light is good and the void is bad, so obviously she has to be a raid boss.
SPEAKER_01Just all of this, like, oh, the whispers like in I I think audiobooks talking about like air how Erator is her anchor that like keeps her from not being overcome to the whispers with like the implication there, like, oh well, if anything ever like happened to Erator, she'd just become unhinged and like overcome by the void. And that's not what happened here.
SPEAKER_00I mean, she's a mom, she'd do that anyway, right?
SPEAKER_01But yeah, I feel like there was enough like alluding to it that if at some point Elyria wasn't overcome by the void, I almost would have been disappointed. Like I I'm not surprised that it happened. I'm just we we didn't get to see any of it. We just went straight to the Illyria's bad now.
SPEAKER_04Did that now?
SPEAKER_01And she's clearly not bad. Like she's struggling, she's fighting like against it. She's not just like full evil mode, like trying to murder us all. It was just weird. Needed some more context. Moving on, because I feel like Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Oh, so we had a new delve this week.
SPEAKER_01Right, that opened up following that story after doing the raid. Going back to that part of the Isle of Keldanas that we were on at the very beginning of the expansion, when the giant void monsters all showed up, and we were like, Yeah, we got one, and then Zalotas just laughs and summons three more. We're like, Okay, run away. So went back there. I think it is kind of cool that the legendaries that you gathered up are there for you to use some of. Well, a good number of which are from the original Kale Toss boss fight, that they just kept all of those on hand. Uh, apparently they don't know.
SPEAKER_00Now they're referenced to Kalehos. Weird.
SPEAKER_01Apparently, they don't just disintegrate in two minutes, like they do in there. Or maybe that's the little like bubbles that they've got them in with some time magic preserving them going on. But yeah, I went and did that by myself.
SPEAKER_00How did that go for you?
SPEAKER_01It went okay. The whole the whole thing up until the boss went perfectly fine. But then the boss didn't go so well. Uh, and I still don't really know what's going on. I find myself kind of wishing that there was a parallel of like the dungeon or raid journal for delves. Because neither of those you really have to go in blind, or like if something just one-shots you, you can look it up and see like what happened. And in delves you just can't. I remember we did what was that, a Tolamon together? Um no, it wasn't a Talamon, it was the Cryps.
SPEAKER_00Oh, would you would you say that makes Delvers more elite?
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_00Then maybe Dungeon, because we just go in blind to the boss battle and just figure it out most of them.
SPEAKER_01Most people go in blind to dungeons and raids anyway, and like just have to be told what to do after they die the first time. But it is weird that there's no resource to try to figure that out. Yeah, like we went into that. It wasn't a Tolamon, it's the other one.
SPEAKER_00Is it us? Are we supposed to be the resource?
SPEAKER_01I don't know. That's not what I signed up for. But the final boss of the Amani Crips or whatever it's called, I'm gonna look up the name because it's bothering me. But she has a like cone attack, and if you stand in it, it just one-shots you Twilight Crips.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I thought you were looking up literally the name of the boss.
SPEAKER_01No, how would I do that? There's no generator.
SPEAKER_00There's no, yeah, you're right.
SPEAKER_01And it's not always the same boss, depending on which like story variant you're on. So yeah, she has like a cone, and if you stand in it, you just die and get one shot. This boss, I have no idea what was happening. He just he doesn't do a whole lot. He does have a cone, but otherwise, he just summons three like little voidwalkers, and every time he did that, my void walker disintegrated, like just instantly evaporates. And like these things weren't putting a buff on the boss, they were just like chain casting shadow bolt, but my void walker would die before like their casts finished. I have no idea what was causing that to evaporate. And then it kept happening fast enough that, like, okay, the first time I do it, I can use fell domination to like make my void walker cast be very, very fast and instantly get him back. But then after that, like my void walker takes like over five seconds to summon, and the boss just comes over and like starts hitting me like a truck. Eventually I run out of like cooldowns to reduce the amount of damage I'm taking. And after like the fifth or sixth time that this happens, like the boss just kills me. So I try it again with similar results. And on the third try, I'm like, okay, this isn't working. Let's change Valera to damage, and we're just gonna try to Zerg it. And that ended up working in the end. It was a very close call. Got kind of in that same situation, and now also don't have any healing from Valera. But we end up getting. Because it wasn't the Void Walkers, they weren't hitting hard. It was the boss. Like I said, he wasn't getting a buff, he wasn't getting empowered, like these things weren't channeling a spell on him, like the oh gosh, that boss down underground in the big spider city.
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01Like you'd get to the final boss that was a big faceless one. No, not the underkeep. It's like a big Nerubian city, and then at the end of it, there would be three Nerubians, and they were like summoning a faceless one.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01And then he'd like during the fight, another Norubian would show up and like start channeling a spell on him, and he'd get like twice as big and really powerful, and you had to go like kill the Nerubian and stop them from casting it. Um, or interrupt them or whatever. So they weren't like casting a spell on the boss. I still have no idea like what that mechanic actually was. And it would just be nice to be able to have a little like delve journal to go into and see the spells and abilities that the boss has, figure out what's going on.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, fair. I did it on tier nine because I'm not silly enough to think I'm just gonna like waltz into a tier 11 right now.
SPEAKER_01But it's uh that you've never done before and you have no idea what it is. Why not? That seems like a reasonable like well.
SPEAKER_00Also, when I decided to like, oh, I just want to see the new delve, it wasn't bountiful, so there was really wasn't like a lot of incentive for me to do it at higher tier. So I just waltz in. But I I mean my pet died a fair few times on the boss battle, but that's also kind of been a thing in this expansion.
SPEAKER_01Like every pet just always evaporates.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, like yeah, revive pet is somewhat on my rotation, so I didn't really notice much of a difference.
SPEAKER_01How how long does that cut take you to cast?
SPEAKER_00Not as long as yours.
SPEAKER_01What what's what's your spell length? I'm actually curious.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay. Uh show people my horrible action bars.
SPEAKER_01That's fine. No one will judge you.
SPEAKER_00Two and a half second cast.
SPEAKER_01Wow. Two and a half. So it's literally half as long. And mine takes a soul shard.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, mine only takes like 35 focus. It's not too bad.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, focus comes back pretty fast too, right?
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so mine doesn't take any mana, but it does take a soul shard. Um which RNG, whether that comes back or not. Um but if I'm using all my soul shards to summon my Void Walker, then I'm not using them to power my unstable affliction. So it's cutting into my damage quite a lot. Boss fight's gonna go on longer.
SPEAKER_00But I did feel like I'm interested to see what the other stories are for the plaza because I felt like it was very kind of obvious, like, oh, we're showing up. There's void stuff here at the as there is outside of the delve as well. There, you gotta be kind of careful getting to the entrance of that delve because there's lots of angry void stuff all around.
SPEAKER_01Were you mobbed by like 30 little void droplets when you tried to get in?
SPEAKER_00I was, I was, and I was a little bit so then uh when I went to they actually killed me, and then when I went to corpse run, I was like, oh, I'll land on this little ledge like right above all those little void nuggets, and there were two humongous void lords up there, and I was like, Okay, so not there. So I resed in a bush, like literally hiding behind a bush, and then I like flew over and around until I could like pretty much land right on top of where the delve was. And I knew it was okay because there was another another player already there, and I'm like, all right, dude, I'm landing by you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I I struggled finding the entrance a little bit.
SPEAKER_00Just down a little spiral staircase, right?
SPEAKER_01Right. And I didn't have any trouble with like mobs around it. But when I got to the bottom of the spiral staircase, there was an Alliance player there just getting wrecked by like 30 void droplets. And then he died like as soon as I saw him, and all 30 of them saw me and just ran over to me. Yeah, I popped my defensives and like sprinted towards the delve entrance and was able to get to it. Like, what is going on there? If we both run into these like 30 little void droplets, are they just do they just hang out down there by the entrance to the delve?
SPEAKER_00Well, I guess it makes sense, right? Glosa, I was like, oh man, like this, you know, the island is getting blasted by the void storm now. There's no light protection. So I guess I like wasn't super paying attention, but then when I did, I was not surprised. I'm like, oh yeah, I guess it makes sense that it's kind of overrun by baddies because it just like there's no there's no more light protection there.
SPEAKER_01I just feel like it's not a good design to have 30 little void droplets sitting right at the entrance to a dungeon for a delve.
SPEAKER_00Well, sure, but like I think you know, raid entrances being in like heavily like enemy zones is also pretty common.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but I'm I'm not talking about having a lot of void creatures in the zone. I'm talking about them being literally at the bottom of the stairs.
SPEAKER_00I know, it seems like that should be safe.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I hear you.
SPEAKER_01Because then, like, what happens when you leave the delf and you've got a loading screen.
SPEAKER_00Because even in when we were going like to Nighthole, there were like a ton of mobs inside down like the corridors. But as soon as you got to the bottom of the stairwell, you were safe to enter the raid.
SPEAKER_01Talking about the different storylines. So I did Holding the Line, which sounds like you did the same one. Uh, the other variants are March of the Arcane Brigade and Bombing Run.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'm really interested because it it seemed like the one I did was like, you know, pretty obvious. Like, obviously, that's gonna be void monsters.
SPEAKER_01It sounds like all of them are gonna be void monsters.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but like different flavors.
SPEAKER_01I don't know. Yeah, I would I would not be surprised if that boss is the only boss for this stealth.
SPEAKER_00You know what would be really funny is if an old god showed up. Like, hey, excuse me, like we've been trying to void this planet for millennia. You think you can just come in here and like just blast void energy and not invite us to the party? Like, we need some tentacles up in here.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so two comments off of that. First, aren't all the old gods dead? Question mark.
SPEAKER_00Nah. Never no one's ever really gone.
SPEAKER_01Actually, kill a void.
SPEAKER_00Well, people are still walking around with the eye of Nazoth on their forehead. You can always get alt timeline Nazoth to show up because we visited him.
SPEAKER_01But but we have at least fought all of them, right? Like there aren't any Nizoth was the last one that we like hadn't really addressed.
SPEAKER_00Nazoth is alive and well. He's been tweeting, and he says that you know, news of his demise are greatly over-exaggerated.
SPEAKER_01I love that he tweets in all caps.
SPEAKER_00Like donut. I am yelling, Carl.
SPEAKER_01That's my favorite part. But also, so second comment. We had that thing where we got to go back in time to the Black Empire and like see all of the old gods banding together to like they were all so upset with Zalatath and her betrayal and like binding her to the knife, right? I think they would be really upset.
SPEAKER_00What the heck? We put this person in the knife. Why won't you stay put?
SPEAKER_01Why would anyone let you out? What is happening?
SPEAKER_00Now she's gone and killed like an actual void lord.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we always we always make the joke of like, do you want old gods? Because this is how you get old gods. And the old gods are over here, like, oh my god, do you want Xalotath? This is how you get Zalotath. Like, don't do this. Once she shows she's impossible to get rid of.
SPEAKER_00Yep. Well, some of it is our own fault because people want to keep seeing the feetsies.
SPEAKER_01They're not even her real feet. They're the feet of a corpse that she possessed.
SPEAKER_00She pulls it off well.
SPEAKER_01Her tattoos are really cool though.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Or like and are they tattoos? Are they kind of look like ritual scars or like burns?
SPEAKER_00I'm just say well, so I think the coolest part of Zalataz costume is obviously her little balls. But she could never have a cat because the cat would just be like playing with those.
SPEAKER_01I'm still stuck on her her facial markings. What what do you call a tattoo that you like burn into yourself? Is that a brand? That would be a brand. Yeah, they look like void brands. Like a really cool font. It's really well done. I think that's my favorite part of her character design. Uh I'll leave the toes, the Zally toes to other parties.
SPEAKER_00I'm just saying, between like the AI and Dungeon Crawler Carl and all of the thirsty folks in this game, apparently, I don't know what's happening to my content. It's just taking over by feet.
SPEAKER_01What's happening is that next week is Noble Garden.
SPEAKER_00Oh fun. You know what? I should hide some eggs around the around the inn. That would be fun.
SPEAKER_01Do they have egg decor? That would be super cool.
SPEAKER_00On the store they do for buying the terrible haws. Shh shh. I already no, I already did it. Don't don't shame me. I already have them.
SPEAKER_01There's no shame. I just I mean, I get I guess we don't know what's actually coming with Noble Garden. Maybe there will be some Noble Garden decor. Because that would be super cute if you could buy like egg decor and hide it around your house. They have the eggs that you can buy already to like set up your own egg hunt where like you buy it for a certain cost and then you can sell the eggs for 90% of cost. Right? Set up your own egg hunt. I think it goes all the way up to you can buy an egg for a thousand gold, and then if you so whoever loots it and sells it can vendor it for 900 gold.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, you can set up little like egg hunts for yourself, but it would be cool if you could set up some like egg decor in your house for Noble Garden.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so I didn't get it specifically for the eggs, like it came with some other stuff as well that was very like cottage core. But look at this, look at this little gnome egg. Look at him.
SPEAKER_01I can't see that far. You're gonna have to like jump up and zoom in. But what is a gnome egg?
SPEAKER_00It's it's a sound terrifying. No, it look it, it's a it's an egg that is like kind of painted like a little garden gnome. Not like a Warcraft gnome, like a garden gnome.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I'll just I need to stop looking at your screen. I just need to run over it on my screen.
SPEAKER_00I think that's the only one I put up so far is the is the gnome egg.
SPEAKER_01How did you even get it up there?
SPEAKER_00Well, because when you're doing housing, you can just float stuff around. You don't have to physically I don't need like a step stool to decorate my house.
SPEAKER_01Decorated gnome. I thought you meant it's like a warcraft gnome.
SPEAKER_00No, I I literally just said it's a garden gnome, not a warcraft gnome. Well, okay. Because we've been very cottage core lately, and so when I saw the like package of little cottage core items that just happen to have eggs in them. And then I was like, I'm embarrassed that I bought this, and you were like, you shouldn't be embarrassed, and then you're like, oh man. No, I just buy eggs.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because I I'm hoping that Noble Garden has some egg-related decor.
SPEAKER_00Yes, that would be super cute. Oh, a basket? Oh, this is what the inn needs is lots of little baskets everywhere. Like, like the 90s. Do you remember those like they were from like a catalog, those 90s baskets that had like the stripe around them? And it and it was like every 90s mom's dream to like have like the special like catalog baskets. And my mom never had one of those, but I made her one in my Girl Scout, like a Girl Scout event. I made her one that looked just like the 90s catalog basket because it was the thing. I think she still has that somewhere. But yes, I want I want some 90s tastic basket. A tisket, a tasket, a 90s style basket.
SPEAKER_01We'll have to see what comes along on Tuesday. Noble Garden is one of the shorter holidays, it only sticks around for a week. So whatever it is, won't have long to get it.
SPEAKER_00Um well, luckily it'll take like 30 seconds for our kids to find all the real eggs, and then we can come log on to World of Warcraft.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Noble Garden doesn't start until Tuesday.
SPEAKER_00Ugh. Well, good. Then it won't interfere with our actual egg hunt.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So we can do our real egg hunt this weekend, and then in-game egg hunt starts on Tuesday and is around for a week.
SPEAKER_00We have to go hide those next. After we log off. Because we're doing the egg hunt Saturday instead of a Sunday because we have other plans on Sunday. So after this, we still have to go hide eggs for the kids.
SPEAKER_01We already got the scavenger hunt set up.
SPEAKER_00For the basket, yep. They're not spoiled. Not at all. It's fine.
SPEAKER_01No, it's fun.
SPEAKER_00It is fun. So yeah, we had the new delve this week. We had nightmare kind of going on if you hadn't already done it last week.
SPEAKER_01And that's the last that's the last delve, right? That we are not expecting anymore at this point.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it was just the two that they were releasing after the initial expansion launch.
SPEAKER_01So dark way and I mean it's good.
SPEAKER_00I like it.
SPEAKER_01I for I forgot that the uh that the nightborn were originally going to be French. That does make the pun even better. Yes. It's not just the dark way because it's all voity, but it's dark way.
SPEAKER_00Like gendarc.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yep. Those French. What are you gonna do? I mean, it makes sense with all the wine and all the things, but Will we end the naming?
SPEAKER_01Like there's that would be Valtois. You've literally got Valtois.
SPEAKER_00It would be cool if we could get Surimar housing decor from the that delve. That would be fun.
SPEAKER_01I thought you were gonna say it would be cool if you could make a house in Surimar.
SPEAKER_00Well, obviously. But you can you can go back to Legion and get Suramar decor. Their bookshelf is particularly good.
SPEAKER_01I would want one of those gondolas.
SPEAKER_00Oh, where would you put it?
SPEAKER_01Well, my house is right next to the river. Like I just park it there at the little fishing dock that I can definitely decorate myself and totally part of my plot.
SPEAKER_00Not even on your plot.
SPEAKER_01No, I'll just put it upside down next to all the fishing rods.
SPEAKER_00For as much work for all the work you went to to get that plot. Sorry, for all the work I went to to get you that plot, we both did. We both tried really hard. Yeah, you deserve to have dock waterfront access. That is some premium property, and everybody knew it.
SPEAKER_01So if you were I'll just park the gondola like up on the cliff, right where my house is, next to my fishing rod racks and my fishing barrels and everything else, and just like have it leaned up against a tree like a kayak or a canoe.
SPEAKER_00Oh, cute. Will you take me for a gondola ride on our anniversary and serenade me by the light of the moon?
SPEAKER_01Is that a toy you can get? I know you can get like the fishing raft, and you can get like a Tuscar boat you can get. So I don't know if you can get a gondola. It'd be neat if they added one.
SPEAKER_00It would be cute. I think can you can you bring anybody else on your magic carpet? We could totally reenact a whole new world.
SPEAKER_01No, it's not a two-person map.
SPEAKER_00Oh.
SPEAKER_01I also don't think you can have second people in your fishing boats.
SPEAKER_00No, I don't think so either.
SPEAKER_01But you could get a potion of water walking and make it look like you're on the boat with me.
SPEAKER_00How about you do the running and I just drive the boat?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, do you have a fishing boat?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I have a raft.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. Well it's not a gondola.
SPEAKER_00Well, nobody has a gondola.
SPEAKER_01You don't know that. I don't know that. Maybe there's maybe they added gondolas.
SPEAKER_00I don't think they did. Because if they were gonna do that, then Legion Remix would be the time to do it.
SPEAKER_01Maybe they did it. Maybe gondolas have always been there, and I'm just not that tuned in to fishing transportation.
SPEAKER_00Hey, if anyone's listening and we are very wrong, please message us and let us know because we really want a gondola. But with that, I think we will wrap up for the night. I did want to do a quick shout out to Layla, who followed us. So thank you very much for following our channel that we have exclusively for our podcast right now. Maybe we'll stream some delves at some point, but we have no definitive plans as of yet. But otherwise, we hope you have a wonderful, cozy night. So from us here at the Delvers Inn, I'm Sinaila.
SPEAKER_01And I'm Zumanaki.
SPEAKER_00Have a wonderful evening.
SPEAKER_02Check in again soon. Thank you for your visit. Until next time. Sunwell's glory shine on the side.
SPEAKER_05May the eternal sun guide you.
SPEAKER_02And again soon.
SPEAKER_05Bring you well. Next one is on me. And don't do anything I wouldn't do. Rest well.
SPEAKER_02Rest well. Stay warm.
SPEAKER_05Travel in starlight, friend. Safe travel. Travel safe. Safe travel.
SPEAKER_04Farewell.
unknownFarewell.
SPEAKER_04Farewell. Farewell.
