Ald El Shalom.

SPEAKER_04

Anubellore delana. Keep your eyes on the horizon. Gather at the inn. It's safe there. Our hospitality is yours.

SPEAKER_02

All guests are welcome here.

SPEAKER_00

Hello and welcome to the Delvers Inn. I'm Sinaila.

SPEAKER_01

And I'm Zumanaki.

SPEAKER_00

And today we have a troll-astic podcast for you, according to Zumo. He's got trolls on the brain. He is trolling.

SPEAKER_01

Always trolling.

SPEAKER_00

Always trolling. So do you want to get right into it or do you want to talk about our week first? Yeah, let's talk about our week.

SPEAKER_01

What did you do this week?

SPEAKER_00

I did a little bit of some of the void content. The void assault. I did a void strike. My words are failing me all of a sudden. Yeah, so a little bit of that. A fair bit of housing. Not hide and seek. Just I decided to redo the kitchen this week. So I just went in and renovated my kitchen, which is where we are sitting tonight discussing our week. And I may or may not have fallen prey to the new housing store items. Well, okay, so it's just that when I was looking for a housing exterior to be the Delvers Inn, I was really thinking I wanted something arboreal, something cozy, but not necessarily exactly night elvish. I did end up with a night elf exterior initially, but then I don't know if Blizz read my mind or what happened, but they're like, here, have this tree house that looks super cozy and is multi-level, exactly like an inn should be.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, hey, you're an adult with a job, you can make your own life decisions.

SPEAKER_00

I definitely can, yes. So that is what I decided to spend my money on. And then a few of the other interior garden items. I'm just in I've been in a cozy mood for a long time now, and they keep giving me cozy stuff to set up. So I I will get like into some serious delving this weekend. But mostly this week, it was yeah, it was a stressful week. I I worked really hard and I just wanted to come home and arrange my virtual kitchen, not my real kitchen, no, absolutely not. That's my job. My my imaginary inn kitchen. And I quite enjoyed it.

SPEAKER_01

It looks wonderful.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you.

SPEAKER_01

I think you're doing a great job. Way better than I could do. That's for certain. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And getting ready for May. You know what I heard from a family content creator. What's up today? It they were calling it May Sember because it's all of the scheduling difficulties that come with like the end of the school year, but without festive decorations and presents. Just like all the stress of scheduling and obligations, but none of none of the happy festiveness. May Sember. And I'm like, you know, I I relate to that.

SPEAKER_01

What what scheduling conflicts are going on? Well, you got your Mother's Day, you got your May the 4th, you got a national holiday for sure.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, absolutely. We would go all out, obviously. Various end of school any kind of extracurricular activities that were spring activities might have some kind of concerts or recitals or final tournaments if there's like some kind of sports ball is being played. Those usually wrap up in the spring. You you might start some of your summer activities early. And then yeah, just all kinds of scheduling stuff going on. Of course, like at the beginning of the year, they have lots of like fun school events, and then at the end of the year they have to do the same thing. So there'll be cosplay week, I'm sorry, spirit week of some kind.

SPEAKER_01

You'll definitely get notified of before the Friday, before it starts.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and it's not like we don't take cosplay seriously in this house, so there's always some of that going on. And spring cleaning, spring yard work. It it all piles up.

SPEAKER_01

It's a lot of adulting.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Thank goodness for our adult video game that can take us away from it all.

SPEAKER_01

Adult video game. Is that what this podcast is about?

SPEAKER_00

Oh no. Not like XXX adult. But like it's it's not like a you know it's not a children's game.

SPEAKER_02

It is definitely, you know, for older people.

SPEAKER_00

And I don't know, WoW has its moments.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's I I'd say it's definitely been moving into a direction of catering to the older crowd. You know, back when we were in high school or college, I think there were some pretty different design principles going on. But as we've aged, the population of what I was kind of aged with us and not only that, I think catered more towards like the younger crowd. I was reading an article that was talking about how well to the kids these days aren't as into like PvP. They're much more into like cooperative games. Um they don't want to be so much like fighting against each other, want to be more working together to solve problems and overcome things. Which I found heartening because that's always how I've been.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I feel like they have enough opportunities for internet bullying, they don't need to like make more violence in their video games.

SPEAKER_01

Not about that toxicity, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Cause I I can only imagine because we grew up in like the very infancy of social media, didn't really get into it until we were in college. But like high schoolers and people like that who have all of that teenage drama taking place on the internet, like I can't even imagine how difficult that must be. It was it was hard enough when you were trying to like three-way call someone on your family's landline to make drama. Can you like can you imagine the shenanigans you can get into with like and then your mom was trying to listen in?

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah, things you couldn't hear when she picked up the receiver.

SPEAKER_00

Those boomers were so sneaky.

SPEAKER_01

Uh um, anyway, what let's see, what have I been up to today? Or this week, rather. Delves. I've been doing the delves for us.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I mean, you can do 10 out of the 13 of your alts and still have enough alts left over to run delves with me all weekend.

SPEAKER_01

I only have seven, but on that note, I I do have seven now. I got the paladin to max level. Decided to turn them into a holy paladin, whereas in War Within, I I did prot all the way through. And that's been interesting. Plays a bit different than any of the other healers I've gotten so far. Definitely feels like very similar to playing prop paladin, though. A couple times I kind of didn't fall asleep, but you know how you when you drive for long distances, you start getting kind of road hypnotized where you're not you're kind of on autopilot. I definitely got some of that where I'm like, yep, I'm pressing all the same keybinds and buttons that I'm pressing. Look at me, I'm a prop paladin. It's like, no, I'm not tanking. There goes Valyra's health. Just because most of the time, like just to upkeep, you know, I'm not having to heal her a lot. I'm just kind of pressing my attacks, and between all the maintenance buffs and passives that you've got going on, it like keeps her alive until you actually start fighting something challenging, and then it's like, oh right, I need to cast a heal now. That's what I'm doing in this dungeon. I'm not tanking. That was like I said, a lot different than any of my other healers. I kind of wonder if Monk will end up feeling similar because they're also a very melee-based healer, as opposed to all my other classes so far have been the more ranged. But yeah, it's been fun, been enjoyable. My hunter's been going better. It's not just been Valera slowly dying and hoping that she can outlive the pack. Actually, been like pretty easy now that he's got some gear just kind of going through there. Did hit a few speed bumps and ended up finding out some tips for myself for playing a hunter. Um, since I am not the hunter master that you are.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I'm gonna take notes. Can I have a pen?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, sure. So Hunter was my very first class that I played in World of Warcraft. Or sorry, first class that I got to max level. I did play a night elf warrior first that got all the way to I want to say 56 before my friends decided that we were actually gonna play Horde and that I needed to come re-roll with them on a different server. So my first character that I got to max and like did any in-game content on was a hunter. So my brain's half still stuck in vanilla on how to play a hunter. Ooh. Yeah, so I was very surprised to see that tranquilizing shot now does more than just removing enrages, it also dispels magic, uh, which is very helpful, uh, especially against the mobs that will cast like a thorn shield on themselves that's a reflective damage. It hits hard. And when you don't have a healer in the group, hunters don't have a ton of self-healing, right? They've got that one heal that I don't even know what it's called, but it's on like a minute and a half cooldown that'll heal you for 30% of your health and heals your pet to full. That's not a ton. So when you're reflecting back a bunch of damage that you're doing, I I almost killed myself because I was like, what is doing so much damage to me? And it's that it's me. It's yeah, it's me. I'm shooting myself.

SPEAKER_04

No problem. It's me.

SPEAKER_01

I'm like, oh man, that Thorn armor hearts. She's tranquilizing shot. Get it right off of there. It's great. And then I was doing the hydrangea boss, which I love in Collegiate Calamity, because it's a plant, but it has multiple heads, so it's a hydra.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, very good.

SPEAKER_01

It's a hydrangea, 10 out of 10. Love that. But it'll cast AoE roots on everybody, and so you've got to kill the roots to get yourself freed because it's going to then shoot like these little spores out at everyone that will one-shot you if you don't move. But I found out you can also just press disengage and pop right out of there. Easy peasy.

SPEAKER_00

I can never find the disengage button button. I can I can barely hit my kicks or like all these fancy tricks.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I I don't remember disengage removing roots. I remember it giving you a speed buff at one point and mostly just like jumping you away from backwards from whatever enemy you were fighting. That was cool to notice some new pieces. Well, probably not new. They've probably had them for a long time, but new to my vanilla brain hunter kit that they have.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, probably over time, they're like, hunters aren't using their stuff. We need to add more to it. Maybe they'll actually use all their buttons instead of just shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot.

SPEAKER_01

Well, see, what you gotta do is you gotta give them like four or five different demon world bosses to solo all across the world. Back in my day, uh we had to go into winter grass uphill both ways in the snow to get our epic bow.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I'm like, shoot, shoot, shoot, go bite him. Bite, bite, bite, shoot, shoot, shoot. That's how I play my hunter. I have my pen back. I suppose you can have your pen back. Thank you.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that was that was going better. I did go brave and pay a little bit more attention and switch to a DPS Valera on my tanking warrior. And that also went really well. Um has a lot of survivability on his own, doesn't really need the healing that I was just kind of AFK asleep braining with, but goes a lot faster with a DPS instead, that's for sure.

SPEAKER_00

Well, cool. I'm I'm glad you are enjoying all of your alts.

SPEAKER_01

I am. I'm having I'm having a ton of fun. I like the different gameplay that it gives. I love the delves giving kind of a rotating feel of what's going on, shaking it up. And whereas last week I made a mythic staff for my warlock main. This week everybody else got a mythic weapon. So I've been doing a lot of mythic weapon crafting. Uh getting everybody all geared up with a nice weapon that they'll have for the rest of the season.

SPEAKER_00

Ready to talk about trolls now?

SPEAKER_01

Sure. Let's talk about trolls. So at the end of the last podcast, I had a thought that I I believed that I remembered that there was a cathraxy, one of these really powerful generals of the old gods in Zulamon, but that I couldn't quite remember the details. So I went and consulted our chronicle, and it turns out that my memory was correct. Yay, Zuma remembered something. It's a banner day, doesn't happen very often. But you get to see a little bit of this in the game as well. Might have been in the Paladin Order Hall and Legion, but I think it was in Dragonflight when you were doing the quests to bring back Tear and reform the Tears card. That was delving kind of into his past. And so, way back in the history of Warcraft, Tyr stole the discs of Norganon from Old War once he found out that Lokan was not so great of a guy. And Lokan released these two Cathraxy to go hunt them down and try to get him back, uh, Kithix and Zakaj. So they chased down Tyr along with his allies, Iron Eye and Arcadis, to try to recover those. But the three watchers killed Zakaj and gravely wounded Kithix, but in the off in the uh ensuing battle, Tyr sacrificed himself. So Rip. Yep, Rip Tyr. He'll be remembered.

SPEAKER_00

Shed a tear for Tear.

SPEAKER_01

So Kithyx ran away. He was not slain, and he made it all the way to the mountains of Xandalar, where he fell asleep and went into hibernation for a long time. The Loa noticed him, and we're like, Well, that's bad. Uh, let's just bury it and nobody ever bother it. And hopefully that'll be fine deep under the earth. And it was for a few thousand years.

SPEAKER_00

Like our kid with like a broken toy or like a ripped book, just like hide it under there. Nobody'll notice.

SPEAKER_01

It doesn't, it doesn't matter. Just ignore it, pretend it doesn't exist, and it'll be fine. And it worked up until this troll named Xando found this weird, powerful dagger that started talking to him and telling him about this really powerful being that could give him everything he wanted. So Xando and Zalotath went down and stabbed Kithyx, and Zalotath gave him a little bit of a wake-up. So Kithicx immediately kills all the trolls. Uh so yeah, didn't work out for Xando. Once again, Zalotath does not have your best interests and heart.

SPEAKER_00

Should have put on some Beskar armor.

SPEAKER_01

But after he wakes up, he rallies the Akir and starts a big war with the trolls. The trolls win and kick Kithix out, and so Kithyx does what he's good at and runs away again. And this time he runs away up into the northeast, into these very thick woods, but the Amani tribe chases him down and kills him. And then where they slay him, they decide to settle because they're kind of not in a great place. Like they thought they were going on a suicide mission, more or less. Barely survived, couldn't really go back, so there's we'll settle here. And so that area right around Dead Kithix is where they built Zulaman. I did remember that there was a dead cathraxy somewhere under Zulaman that might come into play here in the future.

SPEAKER_00

Somewhere in Zuliman wouldn't happen to be on an island shrouded in mist, would it?

SPEAKER_01

Well, see, that's the tricky thing because sometime after all of these battles with the cathraxy happened, the whole world flooded.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_01

Thanks, Night Elves.

SPEAKER_00

Thanks, Night Elves.

SPEAKER_01

So yeah, it definitely could be on an island that used to not be an island, but just a mountain.

SPEAKER_00

Is that why we have so many swamps?

SPEAKER_01

Near the trolls?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So my my brain kind of remembering that started going down a path. You know, I like I like Zuljan. And I've said before, I hope they don't do the obvious thing. Because he's got some discontent towards his sister, towards the path that she's going on. You know, we don't need the Loa. We were fine. We're proud trolls. Very proud of my heritage. And so I'm a little concerned that they'll do the obvious thing. Zalathaf's gonna show up and do the thing that she always does, find the discontent and start trying to use it to her advantage, turn him against Zuljara and start this whole splinter thing that the trolls keep doing, where there's one faction that starts doing bad stuff and we've got to stop them. But wouldn't it be great if instead Zuljan, you know, holds on to that pride in his heritage of not liking the old gods and shutting them down and killing their minions, just backfires and blows up right in Zalotha's face. I would love that. And then this week, Blizzard announces with kind of a teaser of what's going to happen in 12.0.7, and boy, it is heavy on the trolls.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, it would kind of have to be, right? That's where it would be a big troll if they didn't do trolls.

SPEAKER_01

With the bridge and the island. Yeah, it at this point it definitely seems like that's where 12.1 is going with all the troll stuff. But we've got lore walking with the loa coming, um, kind of like they did leading up into Midnight doing the lore walking with all the elves and showing what the elves had been up to. So we'll be diving into backstories of the Zandalari, the Drakari, the Gribashi, the Darkspear. It's also going to be a little event involving helping hatch the eggs of the Dragonhawk Loa, Jenili, that we brought back in the midnight leveling. So their eggs are going to be hatching and little baby dragonhawks are coming out. We're going to help that whole process. And there's going to be a new micro holiday, uh, the Dark Spear Dash, where you can partake in a big race from the Echo Isles to Silver Moon, kind of mirroring the uh the community event where something similar was done. So a lot of new stuff for trolls coming on, but then gave a little preview of what the storyline will be coming in to 12.0.7. That this won't happen immediately with the release, but will happen a little bit after. And I'll just read what they said. When the Heronir call for a special gathering, Zuljan attends as the Amani representative, only to be drawn into an ancient mystery surrounding the legacy of the Amani trolls. Join him and his uncle Kunduru on their journey to discover the and uncover the truth.

SPEAKER_00

With his uncle. That now I'm instantly, instantly just picturing Avatar, the last airbender, and Zuku and his uncle. Like, he's up all like Krabby and like I need to live up to my family's honor. And his uncle's just like, hmm, sip some tea. Just be calm.

SPEAKER_01

I call Iroh's the best.

SPEAKER_00

He is, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But that that gives me a lot of hope that we might not be going down the story that I was really afraid of. If Zooljon is coming to this thing with the Heronir, the Kenduru, and the kind of moderating trust in the Loa. The Loa have our best interests at heart. We love them and they love us kind of presence.

SPEAKER_02

Maybe we can chill out a little bit. Yeah, I was happy to see that.

SPEAKER_01

Looking forward to where that is going.

SPEAKER_00

Looking forward to some chill. We could use some chill in our Warcraft lives. Speaking of chill. So lately we've been, you know, indulging in some content while we do other things in WoW. Lots of people have things playing, you know, like a show or an audiobook while you're going around and doing delves or grinding or gathering, whatever it is that doesn't require a ton of brain power. That's you can have a story going on to kind of supplement your entertainment as you do something repetitive. And lately I've been getting really into some cozy fantasy. When Zumo's around, we watch a lot of great British bake-off because it's wholesome, it's feel good. It's not anything new, right? You know, I think people have been getting super into British bake off since pre-pandemic. But we only recently kind of got into it, and it's been just so cozy, so wholesome. When I'm on my own reading audiobooks, reading, listening, listening to audiobooks. But I like to indulge mostly lately in cozy fantasy. Now, I feel like cozy fantasy's been getting really popular lately, and you know, along with the advent of the romantic novels, but cozy fantasy isn't so much as heavy on the romance, or you know, if there is a romance, it's not gonna be a very spicy one, it's gonna be very chill, kind of just more like lingering glances and hand holding than any of the other shenanigans. And but really what I love about cozy fantasy is that it's low stakes, it is not there are not any world-ending catastrophes going on. There isn't somebody whose destiny it is to save the world, it's just cozy little normal day-to-day problems in a fantasy setting, and you know that by the end everything is gonna work out and everybody's gonna be happy, and I find that so very soothing lately because I mean, definitely in midnight, right? We have some high stakes plot going on with big world consequences, like we are literally shooting a big void laser into the center of the planet, and you know, I want my supplementary stories to just be easy, be calm, be relaxing. So today I'm going to go through a list of my favorite cozy fantasy novels that I've been indulging in. And if that's something you're interested in, I hope you look into them. So, first off, with our you know, love of the great British bake-off lately, I really enjoyed a fellowship of bakers and magic. It is basically great British bake-off, but with elves and dwarves and other supernatural magical races, much like WoW. And they are participating in a magical bake-off, and it's pretty good. I've probably the quintessential cozy fantasy that kind of kicked off this revival or great interest in the genre is Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldry, and it is about an orc female who has spent her whole life adventuring, and she retires from questing and decides to open a coffee shop. Delightful, so good. Also, bonus points. Travis Baldry not only wrote the books but narrates audiobooks for a living, and so he narrates his own audiobook in this case and does a really, really good job. He has an incredible voice. Another that I've been very into is the very secret society of irregular witches, or the other book by Sangumanana, The Witch's Guide to Magical Innkeeping. That one gave me big like running the delvers in vibes because obviously witches are a staple in cozy fantasy. I want to say probably half of the books are about witches because you're just in your cozy witch's cottage with your toadstools and your cute little glittery potions, just doing your witch thing. And familiars, and your cat familiars, of course. So, kind of along that line, the spell shop by Sarah Beth Durst, some incredible cozy fantasy. It is about a librarian who escapes political persecution and opens a magical jam shop. The spells are in the jam. Tasty, delightful. Other notable mentions Emily Wilde's Encyclopedia of Fairies, a scholar who is studying fairies to create an encyclopedia of them by Heather Fawcett. The House in the Cerulean Sea. This one sued something in my little like corporate abiding heart because it is about a very like entrenched in the system corporate auditor who is going to audit, do a report on a magical orphanage. And so as he's like, you know, dotting his I's and crossing his T's on his little report that he needs to make, he learns about all the kids and the run the person who runs the orphanage, and obviously warm-hearted shenanigans and zoo. If you're into Regency kind of historical fiction, aka Bridgerton or Jane Austen, Half a Soul by Olivia Atwater is a cozy fantasy based on a Regency area era damsel who is under a fairy curse. The Teller of Small Fortunes by Julie Leong is someone who has a cart that they travel around with and tell small fortunes. And then there is one of an oldie but still a goodie, Howl's Moving Castle. Obviously, the Studio Ghibli movie was incredible. The book is also very good, lots of differences from the plot of the movie, but I would say probably one of the original cozy fantasies that a lot of modern more modern stories are based on. So that's my little roundup of Cozy Fantasy. Highly recommend if you want something soothing for additional content while you're delving or doing whatever you do and WoW. Highly recommend checking them out.

SPEAKER_01

And I've I've been really enjoying Great British Bake Off as background.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

I didn't see myself enjoying that. That was not on my bingo card, but I'm glad that we've been doing it.

SPEAKER_00

It's definitely one of those things where wifey was watching a show and you didn't want to get sucked in, but you did.

SPEAKER_01

But I did.

SPEAKER_00

But at least it was wholesome and not just like I was happy that I've silly.

SPEAKER_01

Sometimes you watch things and I don't want to get sucked in and I can't help it. And like even after I get sucked in, I still don't want to be sucked in. And I'm continuously trying to fight it, and I just can't.

SPEAKER_00

I'm just mad about it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm like, I don't want to be watching this. I don't want to be engaged. I don't want to know what's going on. I don't want to care. But I do. And I'm mad about it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and I used to do that when I'd be stressed out. I'd uh I'd watch the drama for like a good like a good cry. And I'm just not into that. I I'll shed a little like happy tear for like a wholesome cute ending, but I'm over like the ripping my heart apart for the drama just to bring a good cry out of my system. Path I used to be on.

SPEAKER_01

Whereas I get the sweet and sappy whatever, and I'm just bawling over here.

SPEAKER_00

Pixar movies are his downfall. 100%.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm I'm glad that I wasn't around when you and our kids were watching Wally the other day.

SPEAKER_00

Ah, and you're not allowed to go see oh shoot, the movie about feelings. What's that one called?

SPEAKER_01

Inside Out.

SPEAKER_00

Inside Out 2. That one where they caught why why you gotta call me out like that, Pixar? Who said you could talk to my therapist? That's not alright. But yeah, so some good times in WoW. Some good times outside of WoW. Are you excited for May the 4th coming up?

SPEAKER_01

I am. I've definitely got some catching up to do. I've been slacking a little bit in my in my keeping up with Star Wars content. There's been a lot of it recently.

SPEAKER_00

There has. And I mean we had our kind of golden era, right? Which not an out a lot of people probably wouldn't call it the golden era. But we were teenagers when those prequels came out.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like those have retroactively been becoming more popular.

SPEAKER_00

They've definitely had a revival, that's for sure. And so the sequels when they came out were in general not well received, but I feel like someday people will come back to those and and appreciate them more for what they are. I thought they were great fun. Definitely the third movie in the trilogy was like, you know, a little fast, rough and ready, but it was still fun. And we were there in the theaters, in our cosplay, like to see the movies and be there and see and be seen. And then the pandemic happened, and then we got like really comfortable, like just enjoying our Star Wars content at home in the comfort of our jammies, our Star Wars jammies, obviously. And now it's like, oh, there's more Star Wars movies coming out again. Are we gonna go out and see those in theaters? I think we have to. I think I think we must. Mustn't we?

SPEAKER_01

Looks like it. I gotta say, that's that is the one thing I miss about the pandemic is just being able to watch the new movies right there on Amazon or whatever else.

SPEAKER_00

But I do feel very much like in the same way that we grew up on the prequels, our kid is growing up on the Mandalorian.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

She was a little toddler, instantly enamored with Grogu. And if they're going to just keep content with The Mandalorian and Grogu, like I think that's gonna be her Star Wars era. I mean, a lot of people my age grew up on prequels. I actually grew up on the Made for TV Ewok movies.

SPEAKER_01

I was about to bring that up.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, my parents recorded them. I think off the Disney channel, maybe, on the VHS, and I just watched Wicket the Ewok over and over and over. Ad nauseum. I am I am an Ewok girl, 100%.

SPEAKER_01

But I'm sorry, are you talking about the Indorians?

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Actually.

SPEAKER_00

Endorians. I mean, if you if you want to be scientific about it, I bet you could do a really interesting paper on the Endorians and their cannibalistic tendencies.

SPEAKER_01

They're overplayed. That's propaganda from the Empire.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it would be. It would be. So yeah, I will we'll catch up on on some of the shows that we've missed on Disney Plus. No real excuse, just kind of been into other things. And we always end up making a few Star Wars treats in honor of the occasion.

SPEAKER_01

What have you got in mind for this year?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, we're gonna definitely gonna do some blue milkshakes. Probably make them boozy with some amaretto.

SPEAKER_01

For us anyway.

SPEAKER_00

For us anyway. Well, kids aren't gonna drink blue milk. Are you are you kidding? No. They will. It's the wrong color. It's not white. Instant turn up their nose at it. However, I do have some. I saw they at the store they were selling blue Nilla wafers. And so I'm gonna take the Nilla wafers and put some blue frosting in the middle, and it'll be little Grogu cookies.

SPEAKER_01

That does sound good. I was a little not disappointed, but they weren't exactly what I wanted a couple years ago when we got the blue, were they macarons?

SPEAKER_00

Macarons.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And I think that is actually like what he was eating in the show. But if you don't like macarons, then that's not gonna be what you want.

SPEAKER_03

Right.

SPEAKER_00

And like so with Blue Moon ice cream being kind of almond flavored, I've always associated like anytime I see like a blue something in Star Wars, I just assume it tastes like blue moon ice cream with that very almondy flavor. And so like I felt like the cookie should be almond flavored. So I haven't decided yet. I'll probably just leave them alone because all they really want it to taste like is sugar. But definitely for the blue milkshake, like we'll get some almond flavor in there. I mean, I'll just get some blue moon and like blend it up with some cream and some other add-ins.

SPEAKER_01

Sounds good.

SPEAKER_00

And then I found hexagon crackers again, so I can make little tie fighters with the cheese cubes. We'll have little cheese cubes and cracker tie fighters.

SPEAKER_01

Nice. I was gonna ask if you were thinking about making a Death Star cheese ball again.

SPEAKER_00

Not a Death Star cheese ball. I think it's going to be a pesto Grogu cheese ball.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And I found green tortilla chips so he can have ears.

SPEAKER_03

That's great.

SPEAKER_00

And I think that's that's how it's gonna go down for our for our May the 4th celebrations.

SPEAKER_02

Anything you jumping back to WoW if you don't mind.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah, why we we probably better, right? I don't know what we're about.

SPEAKER_01

Anything you're looking forward to doing over the weekend in WoW that you didn't get a chance to get into.

SPEAKER_00

Now that we've had some hot fixes and patches come in, I am excited to try the housing decor or the the hide and seek. Because I need more stuff. I need more stuff. I am my inn is expanding faster than I can furnish it. And I just I need more stuff. So looking forward to the hide and seek.

SPEAKER_01

I saw that they did fix kind of the little bit out of control issue where they were telling people that they weren't participating and just giving them zero rewards.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you can't. We are the generation of participation trophies. You can't just say, like, oh sorry, you're not participating.

SPEAKER_01

Well, especially when they had said that you will make you will get at minimum 30 of the currency, and then instead you just get a coin that says try harder next time that isn't actually even a real currency.

SPEAKER_00

Look, it's not my fault if I've just been hiding too well, right? Like back in my day, if you hid too well, everybody just forgot about you and went and did something else.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so I'd be willing to try that with you.

SPEAKER_01

I was trying to get our our kid to try it with us, and she was not game. I was kind of surprised about that.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, at least in the game she can't give herself away by giggling.

SPEAKER_01

No, you just if you stand still for like five or six seconds, you just start attracting bugs.

SPEAKER_00

Ew!

SPEAKER_01

Stinky.

SPEAKER_00

Oh man.

SPEAKER_02

Anything else?

SPEAKER_00

I mean yeah, Dells. And I think I am gonna gonna hit the the void assaults in pretty hard to try and finish up my tier appearances for the five classes that I care about. And are this feels like a test. Is there something I'm supposed to be looking forward to? Did I forget our anniversary?

SPEAKER_01

No, you did not. No, I'm just curious. Um yeah, I want to go. I haven't done the ritual site in Zulaman. I don't want to try that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they haven't.

SPEAKER_01

I think I started it and then I didn't really do mounts.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you do need to do mounts. I think I started that ritual site and then something family related happened and I needed to sign out, and then I didn't get back to it. Somebody screaming for goldfish or something.

SPEAKER_01

Any uh any desire to go do spear fishing?

SPEAKER_00

Do I get any housing decor?

SPEAKER_01

I don't think you do.

SPEAKER_00

Then nope. No thank you. I I d I do wanna go back at some point when I have time. I do need to go back and do some crafting. In previous expansions to finish getting some of those hiding housing items from crafting in previous expansions. I should have been doing that before the actual expansion came out, but I did a little bit. I went back and did a lot of the cooking crafting. So if you look at our little feast spread in the Delvers Inn, a lot of it is from cooking crafting from previous expansions. And yeah, there's not a lot of food items that are just available as housing decor. Most of them are crafted items, which is pretty cool because then you can you can get a lot of it in a short amount of time if you're kind of exclusively focusing on it.

SPEAKER_01

Is this bowl of fruit one item, or did you put all of those apples and bananas in there by hand?

SPEAKER_00

No, they are I think it's three different there's a banana and apple plate, and I piled the banana apple plates on top of each other in I think a troll serving dish.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Got it.

SPEAKER_00

To make it more of a display, a fruit display.

SPEAKER_01

It's quite quite the spread. I think my favorite is this cheese block that's not actually cheese.

SPEAKER_00

Well, okay. So when you're doing the cooking crafting for housing items, you are using an item called, I think, like something to the effect of like permanent powder where you mix a powder in to make the food preserved forever. Like it is very clear in the recipe that you are not making real food, you are making display food. It's plastic. That is not my head canon, right? Like I'm I'm going to pretend that I'm not serving plastic food to our the guests of our inn, but I do I always forget how small my character is. And so then when I'm standing next to housing items and I'm like, oh gosh, I'm tiny. So this cheese is like literally bigger than I am. And I just think that's great.

SPEAKER_01

I I just yeah, I love that it's not cheese, it is the earthen hospitality cheese-like brick.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, who doesn't look love a good cheese-like brick? Velveeta is so versatile.

SPEAKER_01

Made out of chopped mushrooms, your perfect preservatives, and then literally bismuth.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

It's ore.

SPEAKER_00

It's fine. You are breaking my immersion, sir. You don't need to call me out like that.

SPEAKER_01

I just love that. I love that.

SPEAKER_00

I cook this delicious feast. It's all fake.

SPEAKER_01

No, I'm so rude. I just love that this it looks like cheese. It's beautiful cheese, but it's actually rocks. Because the earthen, they're not as they're not as bad as they're not as bad as the brokers in Shadowlands. They have in horror bars. Yeah. Who just don't understand how food and taste works.

SPEAKER_00

You know what Paul Hollywood would say? Nothing good. That's an interesting combination of flavors I haven't seen before. Good luck. Yeah. But yeah, so I I don't know. I'm having a lot of fun with it. I'm really enjoying the housing. Sometimes it feels like a distraction, you know, from maybe some of the other things I'm doing, but it's a welcome one. And it's a new motivator. You are motivated by mounts, and I am motivated by home goods. That's just how it goes. For sure. I guess that would make you a vehicle guy.

SPEAKER_01

Hmm. I mean, I did I did really enjoy working on my car when I was younger.

SPEAKER_02

Mm-hmm. So that tracks. It's better than a horse guy.

SPEAKER_01

Which is where I thought you were going.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, well, I mean, like, you know, a lot of your mounts are keep them in the stable. But you're you're like a high flut and adventurer now. Like, you don't have to take care of your own stable animals. You have staff for that.

SPEAKER_01

I'm just surprised the number of animals that will actually let me ride them.

SPEAKER_00

Well, you do have a lot of creepy crawlies. A bone horse, like, what's a bone horse gonna do?

SPEAKER_01

Well, no, that's yeah, that's the thing. Like the death knights, you had to kill a horse and like bind its spirit to something because a regular horse would want nothing to do with a death knight. I feel like the undead are similar.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But they're fine with it. Yeah, the unearthly monstrosities, I'm sure, are fine with it. Like some of the things we get out of Void Storm with the wings and the too many eyes.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, or that giant bug you got in War Within.

SPEAKER_01

The one that you gave me?

SPEAKER_00

Mm-hmm.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

He's a creepy crawley.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he's spider adjacent.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

With wings. Oh god. If spiders had wings. No. We need to colonize another world. Get out of here. Just the whole planet is is over.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's actually what's on Mars.

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_01

Living deep underground.

SPEAKER_00

Are you talking about Project Hail Mary again?

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_00

Well, he I mean Rocky was very spider-like. He was spider adjacent.

SPEAKER_01

He reminds me of the sh they're like shale spiders in WoW.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. He really does.

SPEAKER_01

No, I was talking about.

SPEAKER_00

Much nicer though.

SPEAKER_01

I was talking about Mars. I've been on a space kick. I don't know why.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, tell us about the uh the content you've been enjoying lately.

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_00

I'll tell them for you. We we were into Project Hail Mary. And well, before that, Dungeon Crawler Carl, which has a new book coming out this month. I think we should definitely do a cosplay party on the podcast after that book comes out. I'll come as Princess Donut. You do Carl.

SPEAKER_01

We st we started into the Baba verse.

SPEAKER_00

We did. Someone who literally gets their brain turned into a computer, that's like your dream. It's what you aspire to to someday ascend to being a computer.

SPEAKER_01

Beep boop. I am a robot. I don't have to talk to people. I have no emotions. Beep boop.

SPEAKER_00

And I can just replicate myself and then never talk to myself again.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't know. The world the world that Bob found himself in wasn't what I dream of.

SPEAKER_00

No. That was a rough start.

SPEAKER_01

Um but yeah, we between you know some some science fiction going out into space and exploring things, bunches of aliens, the Artemis moon launch.

SPEAKER_00

While you were gone, I brought up that you watch math videos.

SPEAKER_01

Well, yeah, I do. That's true.

SPEAKER_00

For sure.

SPEAKER_01

Everyone is surprised. It's not like I have a degree in it or anything.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't know how I've really fell down the space hole. Like that core from Portal just jumped inside my brain. Space, space. Wanna go to space? I love space. It's interesting though.

SPEAKER_00

No, I I think the DCC really kicked it off. Because even though it's like a dungeon and they kind of base it on like a it's like a fantasy-based game, it is a sci-fi novel because the aliens are running it. And then Project Hail Mary. I we have yet to see the movie, but the book was so good. Yeah, I think we're into funny space right now. Like space, but make it humorous.

SPEAKER_01

Not boring, like real space, where you've got relativity and speed of light saying, no, you can't go to that other galaxy. That's not a thing.

SPEAKER_00

This is a World of Warcraft podcast, not an Eve podcast.

SPEAKER_01

I'm well, Eve definitely didn't say you can't go to that other galaxy. That's literally how the game started.

SPEAKER_00

I know, but when someone says boring space, I think of Eve.

SPEAKER_01

There's nothing wrong with spreadsheets.

SPEAKER_00

Spreadsheets online.

SPEAKER_02

What are you doing? I don't know. I'm running around. Yeah, my um I'm I don't have ADD, I don't think, but something's happening.

SPEAKER_01

My brain is itching.

SPEAKER_00

Well, should we leave it there for this week and get back to delving?

SPEAKER_01

Sure, sure do.

SPEAKER_00

All right, thanks everybody so much for joining us at the Delvers Inn. I'm Sanaila.

SPEAKER_01

And I've been Zumanaki.

SPEAKER_00

And we'll see you next time. Thanks for coming.

SPEAKER_03

Check in again soon. Thank you for your visit. Until next time. Sunwell's glory shine on the side.

SPEAKER_04

May the eternal sun guide you.

SPEAKER_03

Come again soon.

SPEAKER_04

May the dead bring you well. Next one is on me. Don't do anything I wouldn't do. Rest well.

SPEAKER_03

Rest well.

SPEAKER_04

Stay warm. Travel in starlight, friend. Safe travel. Travel safe. Safe travel. Farewell.

SPEAKER_03

Farewell.

SPEAKER_02

Farewell.
