We know, we know, it's been a miiinnuuutteee. Our editor fell a bit behind! And by editor, I mean me, Sam. BUT we are back with another episode, and it's a long one! We had a true yap session this episode! We talked about everything from Dajana's trip to Boston, Taylor's trip to urgent care, and the reason Sam is now afraid of her basement. There is a lot to be discussed, so grab a snack, get comfy, and enjoy this almost two hour long episode!
Should we start over?
SPEAKER_03No. Oh no, we're gonna start right now. Actually, I'm probably gonna start with you, Satan, to be start over.
SPEAKER_02Guys, welcome to the podcast. Hey! It's your girls!
SPEAKER_06You know what you get. It's your favorite girls back on the y'all free podcast. Don't forget about Bear. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Our emotional support. Yeah, Bear.
SPEAKER_03Forgot about Bear. He's here somewhere. He was like tearing through the house earlier. He was. Guys, we're back to the podcast. It's what time is it? It's a late Saturday night. It's at 9 57 p.m.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Late night. On a Saturday. Late night. I'm like, this is my bedtime. I'll say this is a good time.
SPEAKER_02I know literally crazy Saturday night for us.
SPEAKER_00This is wild.
SPEAKER_05This is the craziest Saturday night I've had in a long time. Start off how you guys went shopping and didn't get anything.
SPEAKER_06No, we made money. Girl math.
SPEAKER_02We both made $70.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. You guys, I was so excited because I was doing homework, so I couldn't go, but I was so excited to come over here with you guys showing me a haul of everything you got. And I was really disappointed. Yeah. When they told me they didn't get anything. We got nothing.
SPEAKER_03I also just think it's like when I was younger, I used to just buy stuff like here and there and everywhere. And I was like, oh, I would really wear it one time. Now I'm at the point where it's like, if I can't see myself buying this, that's how I am. Like I have to have a reason. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. I also was like, I just recently put all my spring summer stuff up and put my like winter stuff away. Because now it's getting a little warmer, you know. Kept some of the jackets and some sweatshirts, but I noticed that I have a lot of clothes. So technically, I only need like a couple dresses for Florida. I think I should be fine.
SPEAKER_03I need to like not that's a thing too. I'm like, Sam, are you only buying this because it's gonna look good in Florida? Yeah. One time a year ago. Like, why am I buying this?
SPEAKER_06Yeah. I feel like if I could justify like two cute dresses, like when we go out to dinner. Yep.
SPEAKER_03Well, that's what I was trying to justify that that green dress too. So 88 bucks. Right. I didn't buy the dress, guys. But I was like, that's gonna be cute. And I told Data, I was like, well, I mean, if we go to like a nice dinner, I could wear it in Florida.
SPEAKER_06That's what I'm saying. Like if we all got cute and you know. But then it's like, do I have a different dress I could probably already wear? Yeah, yes. Yeah, so like my own. Or just like buy like a super cheap one and Sheen.
SPEAKER_02Oh like go to the thrift store.
SPEAKER_06Or that too. I was gonna go to Play-Doh's too and see what they got. Yeah, Play-Dohs. Oh, that's a good idea. Play those could be. Yeah, it's a great idea. I'm sure they put like their spring summer out. Oh, actually. Right? Yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_03So yeah, there's no haul to be had.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, nothing exciting.
SPEAKER_03Just returns to be made.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But Amber Hombie did have some cute stuff, but I also think the line for the fitting room was really long.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the also, I've like never tried anything at Ember Hobby.
SPEAKER_03Oh, they're fitting rooms.
SPEAKER_00Oh no, loved it. But they had there was a girl that was like telling you what room to go into. Yeah. But everything that like had ever been tried on, like I don't know if it was from today or this week, it was like so messy back then.
SPEAKER_03Oh yeah, like all the racks and stuff. And then they have like the gene wall.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and then I go, where can I put this? And she's just like, put it wherever you can find a spot. I'm like Oh wow, okay.
SPEAKER_03It was also Saturday at Somerset. Yeah. She was probably beside me.
SPEAKER_00It's spring break, and so it's probably just been busy in there. Right. But I was like, this feels like a back room.
SPEAKER_06She's like, I'll deal with this later.
SPEAKER_00Literally, like she just kept sorting out clothes. So yeah, no haul. We made money. We made money. Where'd you guys go out to eat? Miguel's.
SPEAKER_03Nice. A classic.
SPEAKER_00We sat at the bar, which was fun.
SPEAKER_03Love. The bartender was making us giggle.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Not like Was he cute?
SPEAKER_03Um, he wasn't that cute. Yeah, he wasn't not cute. If he was out and he flirted with me, I wouldn't be mad about it. Okay. I wouldn't like go out of my way to flirt with it. Yeah, yeah. Correct. Yes. But he was just, what did you say? He was like talking to himself.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and I was like, that was me at golfers. Like, I would just be making psychomets to myself.
SPEAKER_03He said that, and then I kept like catching glimpses of him just being like like talking with his hands. It was like to nobody. Yeah. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00And I was like, that was me though. So true. I was there one day. Yeah. But yeah, we went there. We we have a newfound fave. What? I wanted coffee. Oh, but it was so hot in the mall. So we got refreshers. Forgot how good a Starbucks refresher is. What did you get?
SPEAKER_06I had a Starbucks refresher in a minute.
SPEAKER_00That's how we were. I got a strawberry lemonade asai refresher.
SPEAKER_03Right. And I got a I got a Passion Tango iced tea lemonade. Yum, which we were both saying, because she was gonna get coffee. I was like, maybe I'll get a tea or something. And then she's like, maybe I'll get a tea. And we pulled up the menu and I was like, wait a second.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Why did we stop getting this? Also, I got the venti. It was like 80 calories. Yeah. With the lemonade one. I said, pfft say less. Say less on there. Nice. I was so hydrated. Well, I still have mine, but Taylor. Nice.
SPEAKER_00I chugged mine.
SPEAKER_03She was thirsty.
SPEAKER_00I was so hot.
SPEAKER_03I also think a lot of it comes from work because it's like the amount of time I get to actually like take a sip of my drink is if my kid decides he wants to like go in his room for like five seconds. So I'm like, Yeah. Take a sip. And then it's like my drink that I open at 10 a.m. Yeah. It's like 2.45, and then still take it. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Love. Oh my god, I just realized you're wearing that sweatshirt that I yeah, that you got. Well, not got me, but I'd taken it from your closet. You love that? I do. It's comfy. I'll have you.
SPEAKER_03I'm wearing Taylor's sweatshirt. I've just realized.
SPEAKER_02Well. We share each other's clothes. We switched out. Guys, we should just pack one suitcase for first. Last time I didn't have my socks.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
unknownAnd that's what it is.
SPEAKER_00It is what it is. Yeah, I mean.
SPEAKER_03It is what it is. Yeah. Okay, we have a well, I don't have a story, but Taylor apparently has a crazy story. Yes. Oh, she does. The preface, I got my hair cut this morning. Not this morning. I got my hair cut today by Taylor. And I walked in the. Thank you. So much. It does look really good. Um, I thought I'm saying thank you. Like I literally did nothing. I just sat there. But I walk into the salon and Taylor comes from the back. You could hear me a mile away. I hear come come come. I'm like, hello? I look over. This bitch has a boot on. And I said, I said, what happened to your foot? And she goes, I'm saving her for the podcast. But apparently Diana Diana knows.
SPEAKER_00Diana knows like a she like only knows through text though. Like, yeah. Okay, okay, okay. Um, yeah, this is my formal apology to everyone that a couple weeks ago when I was like, Oh, I want to break my ankle. Now I don't. You just like you jinxed yourself. I literally manifested that I needed to hurt myself. Oh my god. Um, so I was sitting in this exact spot on Tuesday night, 10 p.m. Oh god. I was like, oh, I'm I'm ready to go to bed. Well, I get up and I was like sitting on my foot, and last year my foot, like anytime it falls asleep on my right side, it is like a sleep. So I stand up and I could not feel my leg at all. So I like grabbed onto the couch and I was like, okay, I'm gonna stand here for a second. Yeah. So I like stood there, then I go to take two steps and I fall straight into my TV cabinet, caught myself, but when I went to fall, my foot is like a normal foot, it went up to ballerina tiptoes, but keep in mind it was still numb. Right. It cracked like and I was like, huh?
SPEAKER_03You said I'm down.
SPEAKER_00And then I stood there. And it it was so loud it scared Bear. So then he went running. And I said, Oh. So then I stood there and I was like, I still can't feel my leg.
SPEAKER_02So then I feel like does it hurt? I don't know.
SPEAKER_00I w I sat down and I was so nauseous and I was so dizzy. I felt like I was in the locker room, 25th birthday. Oh no, the room is spinning. I'm like, oh my god. Keep in mind I was not drinking. I was so sober. Within three minutes, my foot is so swollen, it looks like I have a golf ball sticking out the side of it.
SPEAKER_07Oh no.
SPEAKER_00So then I text my dad, I said, Are you awake? He said, Yeah. I FaceTime him. I said, Look at my leg. So come pick me up. He said, You're fine, put some ice on it. I said, Okay. And he's like, I did not say that. You did. So then I'm like, I'm going to bed. So I walk myself to bed.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Well, I tried to put ice on it, but the ice was hurting so bad.
SPEAKER_03So that should have been probably like your first Yeah, my dad didn't care. My dad loves me, but he just think it was that deep.
SPEAKER_00He's like, You're fine. Um, so I go to bed and 6 30 in the morning on my day off, I wake up and I'm in excruciating pain. And I had already texted Diana. I said, Do urgent cares do x-rays? She goes, Yeah, just like look online if they do it. And um I text my mom at 6 30 in the morning. She's like getting ready to go to work. I said, Did dad tell you about my foot? She goes, No.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, shocking.
SPEAKER_00So then I send her all the pictures I have taken of my feet. But I'm so funny. Like, I literally been like trying to crop my toes out.
SPEAKER_07Like, there's no free feet fix.
SPEAKER_00Um, so yeah, so then she had a call of work and taking urgent care, and I have a sprained ankle but with a soft tissue injury. And um, the swelling has gone down, and it feels fine in the boot, but if it's like not in the boot, I can't move it. Like if this was my foot, I can't move it left and right. Um, and it's pretty bruised. Well, that was the other thing. So I had a PA student and then I had a PA. The PA student, in my opinion, was much better than the PA. So she was like, We might give you this shot that starts with a T to like relieve the pain. Tore it all. Thank you. I could not think of what she said.
SPEAKER_02Thank you, T.
SPEAKER_00And then I was like, Hey, I do hair, so I'm on my feet all day. Like, what would you recommend? She goes, he might put you in a boot. I said, Okay. So then the PA comes in, he goes, he just kept repeating this. This is such an interesting injury. I don't know how this would happen.
SPEAKER_03Like, well, neither do I, but that's not helping situation. Literally. So I'm like, You're like, how it happened? Oh my god, fell asleep and I fell.
SPEAKER_00Yes, I'm not. I couldn't even feel it. Help me. So then he like was like, we'll do x-rays. X-rays came back fine. Then he had said he would send them on to radiology. I don't, sure. Yeah. Okay. And then he was like, I'm just gonna put an ace bandage on you. And I was like, Okay. So then I walk out there, and my mom's like, No, we're getting you a boot. Like, there's no way that you're gonna be able to do hair.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, with an ace bandage, be so for real.
SPEAKER_00Right, because it wasn't even like, oh, don't put weight on it. Like, he's like, just ice it and elevate it. I'm like, okay, it hurts. Like he kept trying to touch it, and I was like, that hurts. And um, so then I Amazoned a boot. So you didn't even get that from urgent care. You amazoned that yourself? I had to Amazon it myself. Yeah, he didn't give me a script, he didn't even give me like pain meds, nothing. So then I got to work on Thursday, and keep in mind I didn't tell any of my coworkers. Yeah, and Vita, who kind of had a she had a much worse sprained ankle, soft tissue injury, like after our coworker's wedding. Um yeah, where she had to go to like physical therapy and everything. But she was like, that is so like bizarre, like yeah, so I like technically wasn't given the boot, but without the boot, I'd be in so much pain. Like, literally, like last night was the first night that I didn't wake up in excruciating pain because you can't sleep with the boot on, yeah, yeah, so it's just like wrapped, and when I do take the boot off, like I can walk, but it's painful. So I'm like, okay. So I don't know.
SPEAKER_03Bro, it's so crazy that they didn't give you the boot and they were just trying to figure it out.
SPEAKER_00No, and he was just like, this is so interesting. I could have given you a free boot from the hospital. What? Yeah, it was only 60 bucks, and now I have a boot.
SPEAKER_06So I work on an orthofloor.
SPEAKER_00I thought it would be like 400.
SPEAKER_06I was like, I could grab you one, order one for free. Yeah. Return it. I have return it, Diana. Oh. Get a boot.
SPEAKER_00I could order you one.
SPEAKER_06I work on an orthofloor. They won't know. I know.
SPEAKER_00Well, my sister-in-law also has a boot, but she has like a tall boot.
SPEAKER_06Steal it. Or like, oh yeah, it's for my patient. Just put it in my locker.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_06I think it's for me. So just next time, you know, I can get you a boot.
SPEAKER_05Well, now I got a boot, but that's what happened.
SPEAKER_06What do you recommend? I kind of figured you sprained it. Yeah. It was definitely not broken. I asked Taylor if she could like walk on it. She goes, I kind of but it hurts. So I was like, I knew it wasn't fractured or anything like that. Because I feel like if it you did break something, you wouldn't be able to walk at all.
SPEAKER_00No, I wouldn't have been able to put weight on it. But it was just more of it. I was like, I've never seen one, I've never really been seriously injured. I would say this like the first time. Yeah. Not that it's like super serious. Yeah. But like the fact that it swelled up so fast, like I knew it wasn't broken because I could put the weight on it. Yeah. But I was like, oh, right. My goodness. Yeah. So that was that. So that's crazy.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. That's actually crazy.
SPEAKER_00It was pretty insane. I wouldn't recommend, but luckily it was so numb I didn't really feel anything. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Well, my mom always says it's like my feet fall asleep like instantly. Well, I'm sitting with my leg underneath my other leg.
SPEAKER_00Well, that's how I always.
SPEAKER_03I know, yeah, I know for oh, maybe I'll move my feet. No, it's no, it's okay. But I know for like a fact. Like, I'm gonna get up, my foot's gonna be completely asleep. And I always get up, like, walk. I'll take like two steps and I stop because I think it's like even your foot's like waking back up, whatever, and it hurts. Yeah, I'll like wait. My mom's like, Sam, don't walk. Like, you're gonna you're gonna break your leg or something because you're not gonna feel it, and blah blah blah. She always says that I'm like, No, I'm not, it's fine.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, well, well, now you probably should.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god, she can't listen to those podcasts.
SPEAKER_00No, literally, my mom's coworker was like, Didn't you teach your daughter not to walk on like a foot that's asleep? And I'm like, I literally tried to stand there and it wouldn't do anything. Yeah, it literally felt like I did not have a leg.
SPEAKER_03Like, I don't know, I don't no, I don't know how to like like you ever wake up and your arms like looking up and you just like swing it around. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_06And it hurts, it hurts bad.
SPEAKER_00I know, I hate that. Hurts. Um, so yeah, I got not the boot. That's crazy. Now I'm like actually like so nervous, like I'm actually very anxious when my foot falls asleep again. I can't lie. So then wait, so like how long are you gonna wear the boot then if they didn't give it to you? So you like you don't have like a time frame. I'm gonna just see how I feel, to be honest.
SPEAKER_06I think yeah, you should just wear it until you feel like you cattle it.
SPEAKER_00Because like, like I said, I I don't feel pain when it's in the boot because it just because like there's actually like this button on the side that you compress it with air and it feels yeah. And for 60 bucks they're better. Yeah, literally. So like it makes it feel better, but like when I like have to like go to bed, when I have to shower, yeah, it's not very comfy. And like I said, I can't like move it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So but if that's still the case, like in a week, I'm gonna get a second opinion. Yeah, I would be like, hey guys, yeah, like but I still know it's not broken, but like if it's not like healing, yeah, we're gonna have to.
SPEAKER_03And I and so you went like in urgent care?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I tried to get in with my doctor, but my doctor's a booked in busy man. Yeah. And they were like, his partner has a appointment at 4 30. I said, book me for it, but I'm going to an urgent care. Yeah, just in case. And then I went to an urgent care.
SPEAKER_03I will say, like, urgent care. And again, I'm not trying to like I'm sure there are great doctors who work at urgent care. Yeah. I haven't had a good experience in urgent care. This one has sort of reviews, so I was so sad. Which one? Well, don't disclose which one you went to. We'll talk about it later. I don't want to shame anybody. But like the urgent care I went to up at East Lansing. Yep. When I had like that abscess on my tonsils. Oh, yeah. Literally, I was in there for like 30 seconds, and this like the nurse was like, What's going on? I'm like, I haven't eaten, I haven't been able to eat in like this amount of time. I can't talk, I can't open my mouth past this, like all this stuff. She's like, Oh my god, okay, okay. Doctor comes in. Literally saw me for probably 45 seconds. Yeah. She's like, Oh, you probably have allergies. I'm like, No, I don't have allergies. I've never got had seasonal allergies in my life. I'm not allergic to anything. Right. She's like, yeah, but you can develop them later on. I'm like, okay, I get that, but like I don't have allergies. Yeah. I can't speak, like my throat is like closed.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03She's like, I'm just gonna write your prescription for some zero tech, you should be fine. And then she left.
unknownYep.
SPEAKER_06And then I went like total totally ignored.
SPEAKER_03Completely ignored. And then I drove home. Well, actually, no. No, I did drive home, which my mom was freaked out about because she was like, You're gonna literally pass all your driving. Got home, went to the doctor, and he was like, Uh, you need to get that drained right now. Yep. Or like if it pops, it's going like into your lungs. And I said, Great. I was like, Cool. They're like, What urgent care is? Actually, it was just an allergy. So yeah, well, he asked me, I go, I went to urgent care, and he was like, What did they say? I go, She told me I had allergies and that I should take XeroTech. And he was like typing, and he literally out of movie just stopped typing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And he looked up at me, he looked at my mom, and he goes, She told you to take some Zero Tech. And I said, Yeah. And he goes, Okay. And then I just kept typing because he was very clearly like, that was a horrible I don't know.
SPEAKER_00What an interesting injury. Very interesting injury, Taylor. That's crazy. It was wild. Yeah. I've had a time this year. The girls at work are like, You've been sick twice. I never get sick. Yeah, I've been sick twice. I think all of us have been sick at least twice. Yeah. Um another thing. I've like broken two things this week, too. I was telling Sammy, um, I was like kind of running late to work on Thursday. I broke my cake dome that's like on my counter.
SPEAKER_04Oh no.
SPEAKER_00Because a glass fell. Then today I was like, oh my gosh, I forgot I packed a salad that I was late for work because of the salad, because I was like, it expires tomorrow. I need to put it together. I'm like literally holding it, and it was like the tupperware you got me for like a housewarming gift. It was a glass, it was my favorite. I'm holding it, it literally falls out of my hand, shatters all over the ground. So that's why I had to order Jersey mics at work. I'm like, I don't know what is going on. And then my mom goes, Yeah, and then your dating life isn't great. Okay, thanks.
SPEAKER_06Oh, you had two.
SPEAKER_00Oh! She was like, She's like, let me add the two metals. Even rejection lady. So that's another story I have. Yeah, that's great. Yeah. Okay, quick story because it goes with why she said that. So last Saturday, they were at this wedding for like a church. It's like my dad's friend's daughter, but like we grew up all going to church. So there was people that they were gonna know at this wedding. Yeah. So this guy walks up to my mom and he's like, Oh, how are the kids? Blah blah blah blah blah. And he's like, Yeah, my son's having a really hard time dating.
SPEAKER_03And your mom was like, wait a second.
SPEAKER_00Literally, she's like, Wait, I know the perfect person. So then the dad was like so for it. Like, she's she's showing him pictures of me. So I'm about to jump in the shower at freaking 8 p.m. on a Saturday night, ready to go to bed. She sends me my own Facebook page, but it said like I had updated something, so I thought I got hacked. Oh no. So I'm like blowing up her phone. I'm like, did I get hacked? What is going on? Why are you sending me my Facebook? Blah blah blah blah blah. She's like, a guy is coming over in 30 minutes to pick you up. I said, I'm in the fucking shower. Was she serious? I thought she was. Oh, she wasn't. She wasn't. She wasn't. Oh my god, I was just lost.
SPEAKER_06I was like, oh my god.
SPEAKER_00Like Sorry said, Excuse me. I'm in the shower. So then she calls me on the way home and she's like, I was just kidding. I had two drinks. I'm like, tell me about this man. So, anyways, I guess like we grew up together. I don't really remember him, but he's like a twin. Okay. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. So then I get to church bright and early on Sunday morning, and she has like this she like waves at church. So she's always like five minutes late getting into service. Okay. She like taps me across her friend and she's like, he wants to get coffee with you. I said, It's it's nine o'clock in the morning. This all happened in the last 12 hours. Oh, his dad already sent me his phone number. Oh okay, give him my Instagram. I don't know what to tell you. You're like, I'm literally. And you're like, literally, like, he wants to get coffee with you. Okay. So we walk out of church. She said, You need to text him. I don't even have his number. What are you talking about? Do you know how he looks? Oh, I looked him up. He was cute. He was cute. Okay. Oh, you don't. Okay, so that I had a coworker's baby shower that day. All day. She's like, Did you text him? Did you I said, Why can't he text me? Like, why do I have to text him? So then I text him. Right. Oh. He doesn't reply. Oh. Stop. So you want to get coffee with me. So then I get to work Monday morning, and I she's like, Did he ever text you back? No. It was like 11:30 in the morning. He finally texted me back. And I could only see the first part of the message. And he was like, Hey Taylor, exclamation point. Like, I'm so sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday. We were celebrating my sister's birthday. We had a party. Exclamation point. Could tell there was like more to the thing. Okay. So I'm thinking, like, oh, he's trying to set up this coffee date. Oh no. Oh no. This is a good thing. Oh my god, buddy. I'm so starting. And I appreciate this. I'm gonna I'm gonna start. I do appreciate this. Okay. 100%. Okay. He said, like, pretty much along the lines, he's like, I know your number was or I know my number was passed on to you from our parents, which is totally fine. I just want to let you know, like I am not in an okay spot right now to start a relationship with you. Just pretty much he wasn't just doing well. Yeah. And I was just like, no, like honestly, thank you for communicating that. Like I truly appreciate that. Yeah. And then he like sent me the nicest text after he's like, because I had originally texted him, I'm like, hi, Blank, this is Taylor. Like, I've heard great things about you with like a blushy face. Because I didn't know what to even say to him. Yeah. And so after he had originally sent that, he was just like, um, he's like, I've also heard really great things about you. Like, I'm hearing you're doing great in your career, blah blah blah. Like, I just wanted to be straight up with you because that's not fair to you. And I was just like, No, like that's actually so nice for once in a while. So nice. And like he left it like, not that I'm getting my hopes out, but he left it like open ended of like hey, maybe in the future, but like, hey, I'm not interested, like, don't talk to me again. Exactly. So that was that.
SPEAKER_06Well, that's good. He didn't. Ghost you. No, it was honest. And he didn't like lead you on, knew he wasn't ready, but he's just like, Oh, I'm gonna mess with her feelings anyway. I appreciate it.
SPEAKER_00Yep, yeah. So, like, I was like, Wow, this is actually what I'm looking for is someone that can actually communicate it. So love that. Yeah, that's that.
SPEAKER_05Well, I'm sorry it didn't work out.
SPEAKER_00I will show you a picture. Thank you. You might actually That's why I'm curious if I might know him. But he he did not he went to Chippwa. He actually knows V like Vita knew of him because they I actually saw that the twin and Vita followed each other. Okay, I'll have to. So I'm still curious. I'll show you. I'll show you. I thought he was cute. So yeah. Yeah. What's your update? You said you had an update for me. But you said I had a wait- You you said you had an update for me and you had something creepy. And then I want to hear about Diana's trap. I remember the spooky thing. Okay. Spooky thing, it was about your house. Yeah, what update did I have? I don't know. You just said I have an update. Oh. You said you said it twice to me. No, I did. I do it. When we were at the hair salon and you said I abracal me, you said I have to update you.
SPEAKER_03Because it Okay, it sounded like an update. Oh. It's just like something like that's like a funny coincidence.
SPEAKER_05Tell me.
SPEAKER_03First of all, the amount of details I've said about this man I feel like I can't. Whatever, I'm just gonna say it's not it's not that deep. I might as well just like say his full name at this point. But um that you're a Razor, no.
SPEAKER_06No, no, no. I was like, alright, hop off.
SPEAKER_03Like you know how like we've talked about like about him and how like our siblings are like the same age and like Yeah, and it's just like weird coincidences of things that are like yeah, whatever. So, you know, like when it was my birthday, and you guys were like, You better wish you happy birthday. It's the same fucking birthday. No, because like Snapchat will show you like the birthday cake, you know? Yes, and so like on my birthday, obviously he saw it was my birthday on Snapchat, like, wish me happy birthday, talk about I I opened Snapchat the other day, it's his birthday. Oh in March, which is just funny because like of course we both have March birthdays, right? Like, why not? Which isn't really anything crazy. I was like, Oh my god, it's your birthday. But the the funny part that has nothing to do with me at all. He turned 26 on the 26th in 2026, and I thought that was really funny. It's really not even an update, I just had to share that. That's actually really cool. It was like his golden birthday, but also like to the next level because it's the year aligned too. Yeah. That was really all I had to say. Oh that wasn't even like an update about him. I just That's really cool. I just thought that that was interesting. Is that mean you're the same sign? I don't know, because like me and Carmel aren't the same sign, but her birthday is the 31st. I don't know what the Pisces cutoff is. I wanna say it's the 23rd. What are you? I'm a Pisces. You're a Pisces. Because I know like me and Emily are both Pisces, but she's like an end of February Pisces. And I think the cutoff is around because um I think March 20th.
SPEAKER_06So February 19th to March to March 20th is Pisces. Oh yeah, and then what's is Virgo after that?
SPEAKER_03I think Aries. Is Aries? I don't know. I don't know, I don't know what star sign.
SPEAKER_02I just know my star sign.
SPEAKER_03And that's it.
SPEAKER_00I know mine and my mom's.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, Aries would be March 21st to April 19th. And then after that is Taurus. Okay, wait. Aries, Aries.
SPEAKER_00I lied, I don't know my mom's. I thought she was an Aries, she's a Taurus.
SPEAKER_06When's your mom's birthday?
SPEAKER_00The 26th.
SPEAKER_06Oh.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god. Oh my god. I know nothing.
SPEAKER_03I thought I knew it all. I knew nothing. Oh my gosh. So what's the creepy story? Oh yeah, the creepy story. Okay, this isn't even like that creepy. Oh, well, actually, no, it's actually fucking terrifying. Oh gosh. Unrelated to the creepy story, it just happened the same day, which I thought was kind of maybe creepy. Someone like drove onto our front lawn. Uh like uh just like my mom. Like during the night? They must have because my mom texted in the she texted us in a group chat, our family group chat. She was like, Hey, like, did any of you guys notice? Oh, because my sister was at her boyfriend's house, so she wouldn't have been home to see anything. But she was like, Hey, like, did you guys notice when you left for work that there were like like any marks on like the lawn or whatever? It looks like someone like ran over our lawn. Yeah. Just curious. And I'm like, I didn't see anything when I left, but also like wasn't really looking. And Matt's like, I didn't see anything, and Matt uh Matt would have noticed because Matt walks across our front lawn to get to his truck because he parks right in front of our lawn, and where the marks were, it was like if Matt's truck would have been there, the guy would have like taken out Matt's truck. Yeah. But he literally, like, we have tire tracks like up not like the midway, but like the first like fourth of our lawn. They just like drove up onto it, and you can tell where they either like braked because they were gonna hit our mailbox, or I don't know if that's where they started at. I don't know, but it's like dug into the dirt. Just like kind of crazy. Like, I don't understand why that needs to be happening, but that was just the weird thing about the creepy thing. I get home from work. This was like Thursday, I think. Get home from work, and it's my mom and my sister at home. And they're talking about something, and then I'm like, oh, ask, like, ask Sam.
unknownAnd I'm like, what?
SPEAKER_03And I was like, oh yeah, have you like gone on stairs recently? And I'm like, what kind of weird question is that? Because our basement's just like storage, we don't like go down there like no, like sometimes I go down there and get clothes off the line or like whatever. And I'm like, no. She's like, huh. I go why? Right? She was like, you have it on like in the back room um with the but the carpet. I'm like, no, like we have like our main, it's like one big room, and there's kind of like a wall that then like the other side is like laundry and stuff. But then on that same side, there's like a bedroom, which I think the people who owned it before us, it was like one of their kids' bedrooms or whatever. But like we used to keep like music stuff, and then like we used to like a drum set and stuff downstairs. So it's like a doorway with like an actual door in the door frame, but it's just open now because we just have like storage down there. Yeah. And I'm like, no, I have not gone in that room. Like, to be honest, to be honest, I don't like go downstairs, it kind of creeps me out. Yeah. So I'm like, no, I haven't gone down there. And she goes, Okay. And I look at Emily and I go, Why? And my mom goes, Well, because I went down there and like in the doorway of the room on the floor, there's just a key. Huh? And I go, a key. What do you mean there's a key? She goes, Yeah, like like if you're on that side and you're gonna like go into that room, like the door's open, like it's always just open. Yeah. She goes, there's just a key like on the floor in the middle of the of the doorway. And I go, Oh, okay, so is it the key for that door? Right. No. I go, what do you I go, where's the key? She goes, I left it on the floor. I go, mom, what are you talking about? There's a haunted key in our basement. You know what it came from? I go, you don't know what it's for? She goes, It's not for that door. And I'm like, oh my god.
SPEAKER_06Did she like check to see if it was and then left it back on the floor? So I would assume so.
SPEAKER_03So then I'm like, oh my god. Is anyone else on the room? Or maybe she hadn't tried it yet, but like we've we know now it's not for that door. Okay. So then Matt comes home. I'm like, please, Matt, please, please tell me you dropped a key or something. And I'm like, hey Matt. I'm like, mom, ask Matt. And mom's like, you go downstairs at all recently, like in the like back room. He goes, No, why? She goes, um, there's just a key like in the middle of the doorway. Don't know what it's for. And Matt goes, Okay, so that's haunted. Like, what do you mean there's a key? My mom's like, the only thing I can think of is that maybe it was like above the doorframe. You're like the doorframe is like a little bit. I was just gonna say. She goes, maybe it's up there and just like over time it's like fallen. But like people have gone in and out of that room. There would have, like, why would it have just now? Like fallen. So then I'm like, I'm at home on Friday. I look at the counter, I go, Mom, is that the key? She goes, yeah. I go, why the hell did you bring it upstairs and put it in the middle of our kitchen? It's on the counter next to our kitchen table. I said, Are you kidding me right now? She's like, what was it gonna do? Leave it down there? I said, Yeah. Yeah, you're gonna leave it down there. Oh it's bar. She's gonna go back. She laughs, she's like, Matt won't touch it. I said, Yeah, I'm not gonna touch it either. I was like, you can't. And it doesn't work for that door. No, I just throw it out. You better get a pair of tongs, burn it in fire, take it to the fire pit, our neighbor's fire pit. Don't burn that in.
SPEAKER_06Do your cats go down there?
SPEAKER_03No. Because like I'm afraid if they go down there. They they've gone out there before, okay. But they haven't gone down there recently at all.
SPEAKER_04Maybe because one of them like jumped up or whatever. I don't know.
SPEAKER_03No, well, they well, they haven't been on there in a long time because my mom, when she was putting the Christmas stuff away, she started like deep cleaning the like closet. Okay. So there's like Christmas stuff out that didn't she put in totes and stuff. Also, I don't like them down there because they just like get into God knows what. And I'm just like, please stop.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. No, they don't go down there. Huh.
SPEAKER_03So I don't know what it's for.
SPEAKER_01I have no idea.
SPEAKER_03Okay, well, um. So that was a creepy thing that happened. I don't like to think about that. Oh, then I was at home with my mom, and like I like heard something. I was like, what is that? What was it? She was like, it's the washing machine. I was like, Oh. Yeah, I was like, okay. Like you might as well just slack your base, but well then my sister was going out with her friends, and like her friend was coming to pick her up, and we hear just like there's like noise, and I look at my mom, I was like, What is that? It was her.
SPEAKER_06You're gonna be so paranoid for a while now.
SPEAKER_03It was it was her friend's truck, like he pulled up, whatever. But I was like, I was like, it's the key. My mom was like, shut up. But he does it the key is like literally still on the card. It's part of your life now. I don't want it to, I don't claim it as my own. It can go away. I don't know. I don't know either. I I don't know. I don't want to be for. I'm so scared. You gotta keep us updated on that. It's just like a regular, like you need to sage the key or something.
SPEAKER_06Screw the key, I'm saging the house. Or yeah, I do. Well, and you gotta get rid of the key.
SPEAKER_05I'm afraid you get rid of this key and then you're gonna have problems. I kind of like want to know what the key what the key is for, though. I don't want to keep it.
SPEAKER_06What if there's like a secret, like No, I how about not Maybe you put it in your pocket and you have like this crazy new life.
SPEAKER_00You put in your boot and walk around with it. I'm not doing a fucking key.
SPEAKER_06I'm like, what if there's like a secret passage in your basement you never even knew about? And like Hey, guess what? I'd be perfectly fine with never knowing that. Really? What if it was like the coolest thing? What if there was like a tons of money in there? Like someone. What if someone's living down there?
SPEAKER_03Are you scary? Or that oh, she looks mad, man. I'm scared of her. We gotta wrap it up. We gotta wrap it up. Why would you stay? You ever seen the oh I don't know what it's called? There's a movie about this like family, and it was like the only scary movie I've ever seen in theaters, and probably people probably think it's not even that scary. I was terrified. Um, there's this like family, and their son like dies. Um, and the parents get this puppet, uh like doll. It's like a doll. Did we see this together? I don't know if I saw it with you. No, I saw with uh no, I saw it with Kate in one of my friends from high school. But like we there's this doll that lives that basically, okay, they think the the son's dead, the family hires this nanny, the girl comes in to be the nanny, figures out she's just nannying this doll, and she's like, oh, these people are crazy. Like, I have to watch this doll. But then shit starts happening and shit starts moving around the house. Turns out the son didn't die. What's this? He was living, he was living in the walls.
SPEAKER_00I've seen this movie, and I can't think of what it's called either.
SPEAKER_03Like I don't know, guys. I have chills.
SPEAKER_00I feel like I've seen it too. I don't want to talk about it.
SPEAKER_03The girl from um Is it the Orphan?
SPEAKER_05No, the girl from The Walking Dead isn't it? That's a good one, though. I like The Orphan. I definitely see that movie, Sam. About son living.
SPEAKER_06I feel like they don't make good scary movies anymore.
SPEAKER_03I don't want to ever see that. I would agree. Oh, oh, oh! Um, it's called Boy in the Walls. So I guess that could have been.
SPEAKER_06I don't think I have seen it. I know that doesn't sound familiar, but like that plot sounds very familiar.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I like it. Can I see a picture? Oh, it's called The Boy. And then it Oh wait, it follows a woman in it. If it's the boy, I think I have seen it.
SPEAKER_03Oh, well, wait. In 2023 there was a movie called The Boy in the Walls, which I think was a sequel. But the one that I saw was called The Boy.
SPEAKER_00Can I see like a picture?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, hold on.
SPEAKER_00I think I remember like a swing set with the maybe.
SPEAKER_03I honestly this would have been what like soft junior high school.
SPEAKER_0220 minutes ago.
SPEAKER_05Yes, I have seen this.
SPEAKER_00Or maybe I've just seen ads, but yeah, I think I have too.
SPEAKER_03I don't know. The other thing I think of is that like my dad used to go in that room a lot, so I'm like wondering if maybe like when he moved out. Well, I was gonna ask you, like, has he been over? No, that wouldn't make sense. So um he does listen to this, so uh Dad, if you know Hey my creepy key, please.
SPEAKER_02I've lost a key. Honestly, Dad, just lie.
SPEAKER_03Just say that, yeah, just lie and say that like you put a key above the door frame and it fell down, please, because I just can't deal with this haunted key. Thank you. That's all I have to say. Okay, that was my creepy story. Someone else say something because I'm gonna creep out. That was a trip.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, let's talk about my trip. Yeah, let's talk about it more closely. Okay, so my flight ended up getting delayed. But I texted Taylor and Swayam like right away. As soon as we got there, it like we were at the jet blue line and like nobody's there, right? And I'm like, no one's like at like the front desk. And I'm like, uh, you know, it was empty. I'm like, oh, it's gonna be easy to get through, you know. The lady comes out, she goes, Oh, are you guys going to Boston? And I was like, Yeah, and she goes, It's not a connecting flight anymore, it's just going to New York and that's it. So, like the people that were going to New York, like they were still going, but we couldn't, like, our there's no can't be like. Right. Okay, right. And so I was like, Okay, she goes, Yeah, you're gonna have to come back. Your flight's like, I think it was like at nine o'clock, right? And we we got there at 4 a.m., I think. I think it was 3:30. 3 34. We got there early. So Noah and I were like, Well, shit, it's not like we live close to the airport. So we went down where like the luggage is and we're like laying down and like trying to take a nap, but I couldn't, like, I'm already on the floor. I'm excited to go, like, you know, ready. So we finally like went up, we finally got in very short and easy. Like, it wasn't anything crazy at all. Good. Um got to Boston, it was rainy the first day all day, but it was so nice out. Like it was a good temperature. Uh, we got bagels right away, went to Duncan, got a decaf. Did that change your view on Duncan? Um, no, she made us my coffee.
SPEAKER_02I don't know if you guys are like, I guess I started our Snapchat. It was very light, it was very milky looking. It did look very milky. Remember, you're like, it's so sweet.
SPEAKER_06Um, and I didn't, I'm not the person to be like, can you go, can I uh can you fix this? Like, I just don't like complaining about things. And so I just like drank like I think a quarter of it, maybe half, and like threw it away. Oh because I'm like, I didn't I don't want to waste it. But I'm like, she probably put I think it said like three pumps of whatever I got and another three pumps, and she didn't ask me how many pumps I wanted. I didn't know I had to say it. Like, I don't know how you do it. Like if you get a medium, I think three is like the standard. Is it? Okay, but it's always like three, three. I didn't know that. Yeah, I don't know why.
SPEAKER_03Because like if you get like three flavors, you're gonna need three of each. You're not getting like one of each.
SPEAKER_06Or if you're getting cream, it's three creams. Oh, I thought it's just like one pump unless you say otherwise. No, it's like you have to say otherwise. It's like a Starbucks where it's like if you're getting you're getting like five, if you're gonna peppermint mocha, you're gonna need five peppermint, five mocha. Okay, well, I just ordered my Starbucks and she said, ask me how many pumps I wanted. I said one. I got like a decaf latte with hazelnut syrup and mocha. Because you added it. A latte. Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_03But if you if you just got like if I went and I was like, oh, can I get a butter pecan coffee? They're gonna put three in it at Dunkin'.
SPEAKER_06Well, at Dunkin' I got a nice latte decaf, and I said, I think toasted almond, and I think I said hazelnut or something. Yeah, Dunkin', they don't but they did three. I'm like, dude. They just go as soon as she gave it to me. I'm like, and Noah looked at me and goes, Oh, that looks like milk. And I was like, Noah. I was like, Yeah. I was like, whatever. I'm in Boston anyways. You know, it's fine. Um, so yeah, then we like walked around because we had the Celtics game that night and we were like on we were sitting on the floor, which was so fun. I was like, so fun, so exciting. Got dressed up. We took an Uber because it was like starting to like the rain started to pick up. I did bring in an umbrella, but I just like didn't want my hair to get wet. I don't know. It was quite a walk, it's like a 15-minute walk. So we took an Uber, the game was fun. We went home, and then the next day we honestly just chilled. We shopped, I went to Solid Core, just like a city girl, you know, like nothing too exciting. Um, got a couple of things at Allo, which I was so excited about. The girl, when I was trying things on, she kept giving me things to try on, and like, God bless her. And then she like gave me these shoes that were like already in like the fitting game. She goes, I picked out some shoes for you, weren't my size, like didn't ask. They were size eight, I'm a size nine. But she's like, Let me know if you like them. And I'm like, they don't fit. Yeah, I even want to try them on. I was like, I'm not here for shoes.
SPEAKER_05Like, I just also their shoes are like what 200 and something. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, they were okay. That wasn't something I was like was gonna get. But she was like, Did you try the shoes on? I was like, uh no, it's I'm I'm okay in my head. I'm like, girl, you didn't even ask me what size I am. Like, you already have them. Crazy. Yeah, I already own these. But like anything I tried on, she was like, What about this one? What about like I think she was really trying to sell these clothes, you know? Yeah. Like, oh gosh. And Noah's just sitting there patiently. And I'm like, oh, he's like, No, it's fine. Go ahead, try mom. Like, okay. Whatever. Then I went to Ragan Bone. I was gonna get jeans, and every jean I tried on, they were not long enough. And the girl was like, Yeah, a lot of people have been complaining about that. I was like, Yeah, but they was they were the softest, buttery jeans I've ever put on. I felt like I put on sweatpants. Yeah. Like it, I I wanted to buy it, but I was like, I it literally came up to like right here.
SPEAKER_05Like Do you know they actually have jeans from them that are like sweatpants that look like jeans? Yeah, so I I tried those on too.
SPEAKER_06She was like, these are more baggy or maybe they the maybe the length will be like better. And I did try them on. It looked good with shoes, but if I wanted to like maybe put heels on or something, like it just they're expensive. I don't want to buy like expensive jeans just for me to wear, like they're like $400.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Do they not have is this I've never heard of this store before.
SPEAKER_06Ragambone? Uh, I don't know if we have I don't think we have one.
SPEAKER_00I don't even think um Somerset has one. Is it like an East Coast thing? Um, I've only ever heard of it because of these sweatpant jeans.
SPEAKER_06Like yeah, New York has it, I think it originated from New York. So I think it's a New York store. Okay, I've never heard of this.
SPEAKER_03I like when I s you posted like a haul on your Snapchat and I was like, I don't know what that is.
SPEAKER_06There's two there's one in Seaport, and then there's one in um Newberry Street. Oh, there's one in Birmingham. Oh, there is? What?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, like in downtown? Mm-hmm. We have to go back to Birmingham.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I did not know that.
SPEAKER_03You still gotta use candle making. No, wait, Diana, no, I feel like I remember this, and I feel like I remember you being like, oh my god, there's Raganbone in Baseball. Maybe I did. And I was like, oh yeah.
SPEAKER_06Maybe I did. Interesting. Yeah, I every time I go to Boston I go to Raganbone, but I never get anything. But I heard their jeans were really good, so I like went and tried the jeans on, and yeah, they were so comfy, but I'm like, you know, I'm not gonna spend two, three hundred dollars. Yeah, no, they're literally like swap pant material.
SPEAKER_00I've heard like amazing things about them.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, oh interesting. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03On sale for $238.
SPEAKER_06I think they sell the 25% off. I want to get their 25% off. Yeah, I want to get their boot like high heel black boots because they're gonna be able to do that. I want to see those. Yeah, they're so comfy. Boots, women, but I got the ballet shoes. Okay, those were cute, the comfiest ballet shoes I've ever put on. Okay, because I put on the one last year was like more stiff, and I just probably didn't get them. Right. Because I'm like, I don't like walking on, like feeling I'm walking on like I don't know, rocks. How would you explain that? Yeah. So I put those on. I was like, oh, I like these. She goes, Yeah, they're so comfy. And they're like, yeah, girl. And then I got them. They were like $200 something dollars. I'm like, whatever, I'm in Boston. It's funny. Yeah. Yeah, like I saved up money for this. It's okay. So we did a lot of shopping, and then we got some good lobster rolls. Okay. Um, it was the best lobster rolls I've ever had. They were buttery, soft, warm, so good. And then um, we walked on Newberry Street, which in Boston, it's like all high-end stores. Like that's all it is. I think there we did see an HM though. Yeah. Even though like she loves an HM, guys. I love we did go to HM. I think at three levels or something, two or three levels. I can't remember.
SPEAKER_03Okay, guys. Wait. Sorry for that like brief intermission. There was just a complete misunderstanding on a topic that was discussed, and we have to cut all that out. But like the amount of confusion that just like went through. You're like, what? You kind of say I was like, Taylor, what are you talking about?
SPEAKER_06I didn't take it as a clearly, I've been like And then I looked at Diana and I was like, Well, I knew that you were you were meaning it that way, and then I didn't, and then and then I was like, wait, I'm confused now.
SPEAKER_03I was like, wait, what? And then I I thought you were playing into the bit. Like I at first, yeah. I first thought you were playing into the bit, and then you were like, damn. And I was like, what? So I was like, oh my god. Okay, yeah, we'll cut I'll have to cut off. I was gonna say we'll cut that all out. I'll cut it out tomorrow. Oh my god, that's hilarious. That was so funny. I was like, what is happening? Sorry. Anyway, anyway, I can't ruin it. It was so funny.
SPEAKER_06I was like, if you ever you know go to Boston, Newberry Street is the most beautiful street ever. It's just all high-end stores. I felt like, you know, like a bougie girl. Yeah. Going on these, you know, stores. Um, and then Wednesday, I had another workout, which the salad core in Boston. I was telling my coaches this like when I was here. Like, it's so different.
SPEAKER_03I was gonna ask if it like felt different.
SPEAKER_06It like it did and didn't. It just like there was like first of all, there's only like five of us, which is weird. Usually I'm so used to like the role.
SPEAKER_03It's weird in Boston being felt.
SPEAKER_06So they have like th two, three of them in Boston. There's like like in that immediate area. Yeah, like there's one in Seaport. I think there's one like in North End. Like, there's quite a few of them. So like I went I went to the one in Seaport because I just I like Seaport. And yeah, there's like five of us, and we're working out, and like I'm waiting for the instructor to be like, all right, let's amplify this workout, like let's make it a little no, and I don't know if it's because like all the girls there were like beginners, and then you think you're a beginner class? No, but like like so there's a class called signature 50, where like you work out for 50 minutes, but I can have I'm I could be like class 150, and the girl next to me could be class five. We just have different weights. Okay, so like the coach will be like if you're zero to 25, you put these springs on, 25 to 50, you put these 50 plus, you put these springs on. Yeah. So you know, and at times when there's like a class that a lot of us are 50 or above or 100 or above, then we get more like harder like workouts or amplified workouts because the coach knows that we're all like high in the class. So I don't know if like all the girls that I was with in Boston were like lower class. When you sign up to take a class, do you say no? But they can like the coach can look and see how many classes I've taken.
SPEAKER_03Okay, and it's like when it goes off of like how many classes you've taken. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Okay, okay, okay. So, you know, I wanted to amplify my workouts because I'm like, this is too easy. But then I'm like, I don't want to be a show off.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you know, I don't want to also like they're not gonna see you again, so why doesn't matter? Yeah, I know, but I just I don't know. They would have been like, damn, remember that one time we were here and that one girl was like going crazy and had to find her workout? Crazy.
SPEAKER_06I was just like, I'm just gonna chill. Like, I don't wanna, it's fine. I'm just have a chill time. It's fine. Then I went to Lululemon that was like next to Solid Core because I'm like, I need the I need new black leggings because the whole I don't know if I guys told you this, but the return thing, you can only exchange leggings or get credit from it if it's been a year. Oh, like within a year? Yeah. Oh. Which I didn't know because I tried to do that, and they said, Well, how long have you had these? I said, Oh, it's been, you know, quite a while. They're like, Oh, well, it has to be within a year. And I said, Oh. So now I'm gonna take these back out, we'll see you guys next day.
SPEAKER_05They're like, actually.
SPEAKER_06So, but they're so bad to the point, like, Lent will just got get on them so fast. And I'm like, I need new ones. So we went to me and Noah went to Lululemon. We went to Blue Bottle, got some coffee.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god, I saw you posted TikTok. I don't know if I just saw it today. But you posted TikTok, maybe it was yesterday.
SPEAKER_06Yesterday on Blue Bottle, yeah. It's one of the best coffee shops we've bought.
SPEAKER_03That was probably one of my favorite TikToks you posted. It was like 10 seconds long, but it was just so aesthetically pleasing. I was like, This is so cute.
SPEAKER_06I know, I loved it too when I made it.
SPEAKER_00I think this is cute. Blue bottle is good. It's I wish we would get one here. I wish we had one too. I do not know how we don't have one. Is there one in Florida? Probably not. It's kind of like a big city.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_00New York, LA.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I wish we had Dutch bros too. Well, we will be getting that. Uh, we will be getting that. Where? In Florida, Florida. There's a Dutch Bros bigger.
SPEAKER_06Oh, I thought you guys meant here. Oh no.
SPEAKER_00We're getting a seven brews here.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Which is another one that I've heard.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00There's also a swig when we're in Florida.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Oh. Carmel was at Swig. Oh, wait, no. Well, she was at Dutch Bros today, but she snapshit at me. But I think she got swig the other day. Really? She did go? Yeah. Because I told her that there's a swig. And she goes, No, there's not. I said, Yeah, the little is me and Taylor looked it up. Taylor's been doing really search. And I said, I'm like, well, it says like temporarily closed, but that's what Dutch Bros said.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Yes.
SPEAKER_03Remember? Yes. And she goes, Oh, well, Dutch Bros is open. I'm like, I know. So I don't know if maybe I was like, maybe they're not done building swig or like whatever. Um, but then yeah, I mean, it's open now.
SPEAKER_06So we're gonna be busy. Quite a few coffee shops together.
SPEAKER_00We are gonna have lots of drinking to do.
SPEAKER_06Um, so yeah, like basically, like, Noah and I we go every year to go to Boston and we literally watch the Celtics play, we shop and we do a lot of city stuff, we eat good food. And that's it. I mean, there's nothing like else to do in the city, you know what I mean? Yeah. Uh, we did, however, miss the St. Patrick's parade because it was on a I think they did it on a Sunday. They say like over the weekend. Yeah. I don't know why I thought they were gonna do it like on a Tuesday. Like on actual CDs. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I laughed, but then I realized that would make sense actually.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um so next time if we do go, I would go over the weekend. But I feel like we're beeping. No, I don't look at Taylor.
SPEAKER_06One fun thing though was we went to the bar and it was we were watching the USA versus I forgot what it was for baseball, what the other country was.
SPEAKER_03Um Venezuela.
SPEAKER_06Yes. And when USA finally tied up, we were like changing USA. It was like so, so fun. And then I'm like, I love this, and then we lost, and I'm like, oh this is great. This is well lost it. Um, but I also I was really proud of myself. So I am caffeine free and I actually haven't been drinking any alcohol. And I was so proud of myself that I went to Boston without I just literally drank Diet Coke and sparkling water. Woo! Just to help with my anxiety, which I think it has. Um, and yeah, so I was like, oh, like this is nice to like just have fun and not be like hungover or a headache afterwards when I wake up, felt more productive throughout my day. So yeah, and then coming back home, um the Boston airport was so so packed. Like we went and it was like the line. I couldn't even explain to you the line. Like here, let's say this is like TSA, it was like here, and then wrapped around here and all the way down down here.
SPEAKER_03No, I kid you not, and I'm guys, I know you can't see what she just drew, but it was a very long line that she just drew in the air.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. It was a long TSA line. I literally looked at Noah, I was like, we're gonna be late, we're gonna miss our flight. And but am I gonna be sad about it? No. Right. Because I really didn't want to leave. Yeah, right. True. But the bag, even the bag line to jet blue was long too, and I'm like, for sure, I was like, we're gonna miss this. I think because I think we got there two hours before our flight left, because like the airport's not that far from where we were staying. Yeah, and so I'm like, oh, we'll have plenty of time. So then we get to the line, we make our way all the way to the end of the line, and um it actually moved pretty fast. Okay. I think th it took 30 minutes. Oh my god, they're efficient, very efficient. I was actually really surprised because I was like, oh, this is gonna be bad. Like Diana's like low-key mad, right? Yeah, I was like, I wish we were missing flight. Dang. And um, yeah, it like took us 30 minutes. We still had like, I think 45 minutes. We went to Duncan again to get coffee, and I got and your mind still didn't change. Um, so I got the Shaken espresso, and I actually liked it. It's so good. It actually is really good. I was shocked, and I accidentally got caffeine. I forgot to say decaf. I was like, yeah, the espresso. But it was so good. So good. I was like, oh my god. Yeah, that's all I get there. And it's only 180 gallons in Starbucks.
SPEAKER_00I would agree. It's way better than the Starbucks one.
SPEAKER_01This is crazy.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Have you tried it? No, but I also don't really like the Starbucks one in real. Oh, I love oat milk.
SPEAKER_05Me too.
SPEAKER_06I like it as okay. It was actually like I wanted Noah to try it, but but he's allergic to like I think all the oh, I don't know if oats. It was part of like the nuts and tree nuts. I don't know. I just don't have him try anything because I think I put hazelnut in mine or something too with it. I think he would be okay, but I'm not sure. What's he allergic to? Peanuts and tree nuts. You can he can have oats.
SPEAKER_03I mean, I don't want to don't quote me on that. Yeah, don't quote us either. Oh, my sister's allergic to peanuts and treats, she can have oats.
SPEAKER_06But I think I'm pretty sure I put hazelnut in mine too.
SPEAKER_03Actually, she can't have oats. She can't have oats. Why? I just realized that she can't do it. Why? She got re-allergy tested. Oh. She is actually allergic to oats. She can't have like oats, barley. What does she drink? Um, just regular milk.
SPEAKER_06Is she allergic to flaxy because no one's allergic to flaxy? She might be. She makes a lot of allergies. He does.
SPEAKER_03Wow. She's allergic to like all like seafood, crawfish. What? She can't have like like barley and hops. Like she can't drink beer. She's allergic to it. Yeah, noah's. Oats, onion. Technically, she's allergic to onions, but he was like, as long as you don't have like a like a reaction that's like detrimental. Like, yeah. Like she but she eats like granola bars, her like mouth will get kind of itchy. Yeah. But she's like, but he's like, you could eat it though. Like it's not. But like onions. She got re-allergy tested because she thought she was gonna have like grown out of a bunch of allergies. Uh-huh. But in reality, she found out that she developed like 50 more allergies.
SPEAKER_06That's but that's what I want Noah to do. I want him to get retested too. Cause it's been like literally since he's been a kid that he's been tested. I was like, you probably should. Maybe you outgrew on some. But it's like I always have to carry an epi pen like anywhere we go. Yeah. Like games, especially baseball games, because there's peanuts everywhere. Because Hemley S always has an EpiPen on him. Yeah, and and I'm always like nervous to have him try some of my stuff. I'm like kind of hesitant. Like you never know if cross-contamination or whatever. I don't know. That is.
SPEAKER_03What is the epi pen for, like, specifically? Like all trean nuts and peanuts? Yeah. Okay, because I'm always allergic to like peanuts and treanuts, but the like like cashews specifically.
SPEAKER_07Oh.
SPEAKER_03And then I think there's like one other nut. Like she, like if I remember one time she had a chocolate, it was like from Halloween. We always go through Halloween candy when we were little. Yeah. But there was like one of those just generic, like Halloween-shaped candies that's like wrapped in tinfoil. Yeah. Well, she we didn't realize there was peanut butter in it. She ate it and she was just like throwing up like all night. It was bad.
SPEAKER_06So Noah, he found out he was allergic to flaxy because Burger King makes their bread with it has flaxseed in it. Oh. And every time he would eat Burger King, he would throw up, so he just would stop eating Burger King. And then when he found out he was allergic to flaxseed, he's like, oh my god, that makes so much sense now of why I would always throw up. So there's like sesame seeds too? Uh I don't think so.
SPEAKER_03Because I think there's sesame seeds on their bun, isn't there?
SPEAKER_06Emily's allergic to sesame seeds. I don't I think it's just flaxseed because he eats an everything bagel and there's sesame on there, right? Yeah, I think so. Yeah, that's true. That's true. Does that mean he can't have drizzelicious? Doesn't that have oh yeah, he can't have that either. Yeah. Isn't he allergic to eggs or am I making that up? No, he's not allergic to eggs. Emily was allergic to eggs when she was little.
unknownReally?
SPEAKER_03She did grow out of that. She was only allergic to egg whites. That is so interesting. We used to make brownies with egg white substitute and it never cooked right.
SPEAKER_06Huh. Yeah, it kind of sucks. Like, I can't relate because I don't have any food allergies, but like I'm sure like that sucks having to like make be careful what you eat and all that stuff. So I've been more mindful too about what I eat and what I make him, or vice versa, what we eat. So I don't know.
SPEAKER_03We fed my sister pesto um by accident, like literally three weeks ago. Did I tell you guys this?
SPEAKER_07No.
SPEAKER_03Dude, what is she allergic to with pesto? There's pine nuts in pesto.
SPEAKER_00It's like one of the main ingredients. Some some pest was made with cashews. I never knew that until recently.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like the last couple years. Yeah, so there's there's nuts in um pesto. Wow. So we went to Hopcat. It was me and my mom and my sister. And my mom was like reading this appetizer, and it was basically like little pieces of garlic bread, and like a and then there's like a tomato sauce with like a garlic herb cheese that was like drizzled in pesto, and it was like a dip. And we were like, wait, that sounds so good. Let's order it. Yeah. So we ordered it. I'm like, okay, so I don't know if I'm gonna like it, but like, I'll whatever. So we get it. Keep in mind, she's had this allergy since she came out of the womb. Like she's she's 21 now, okay? I don't know what we were thinking. We ordered it, we're like eating it. And I'm like, Oh, it's actually like pretty good. Like, yeah, I know, like whatever. She's like, I just don't really my mom's like, and if you don't like the pesto, you can just like eat like just we won't mix it all in, you can just eat like the sauce part. And my sister goes, Well, yeah, I'm also allergic to pesto, so why would I eat that? After we had she had already like it was all in the dip, you know, because it was like a pesto drizzle across the whole thing. Uh-huh. So we were just like, if you don't really like it, just try to eat the pesto. And she's like, she goes, Yeah, but I'm also like allergic to pesto, so why would I eat that? And me and my mom like whip our heads around and we're like, oh my god. And then I'm freaking out. So I'm like, some pesto's made with cashews. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04If it's cashew, I'll just know that.
SPEAKER_03So then my sister's sitting there, she's like, I can't tell if like my throat's like closing or if I'm just like making myself thinking.
SPEAKER_07Oh right.
SPEAKER_03We were all laughing. She was like laughing. She's like, this is funny. So like our waitress comes over and we're like, we have a question. She's like, what? I'm like, is your pesto made with pineuts or cashews? She's like, pine nuts. I'm like, okay. I was like, we just like all forgot for a second that she's literally allergic to pine nuts, and we just like had her eat this pesto. She was like, oh. So she is allergic to pine nuts. She is, but like anaphylactic is gotcha. Oh because she didn't like it was just like a drizzle and she didn't like eat a whole like yeah. So she was like, I'm okay. Oh my god, that's crazy. But like, how did we just like not? Like, how did we not have are you allergic to any food? No. No. Are you? No. I think I'm like slightly allergic to like pecans. So I feel like whenever I eat them, like my mouth gets itchy. Yep. But like that's not gonna deter me from eating them. No, yeah. But no. I'm not either. No one no one in my family has any food allergies besides my sister. She got all of them.
SPEAKER_06She had every single food allergy. I always I'm always curious of like how that happens. Like, how do allergies develop?
SPEAKER_03Like, how does like how does like she have them, but like none of us, like none of us? Yeah, I'm I'm curious. My mom and my dad also aren't allergic to anything. My mom's allergic to like dyes, like a black dye for certain things. Like she can't buy like a swimsuit that's black. Cause like the dye in the body, like break out in rash, yeah. She got her hair done one time and like like black in like the toner. Yeah. And her whole head was like stuff, yeah. Yeah, that's scary. So like certain but like certain things it's fine, but like other like certain materials. Yeah. Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_06But then besides that, yeah. I don't know if my family has any food allergies either. No.
SPEAKER_03No one in my family has food allergies. I don't think anyone like Mackenzie's family does either. Because I was like, I wonder if Gracie would have allergies, but yeah. That's gotta be so scary though, to like start to introduce things to your kid. I've seen videos of people like feeding their babies peanut butter for the first time, like in the parking lot of a hospital. Yeah. And you're just like they're like, here you go. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Get used to it now, baby.
SPEAKER_05Like, we're here. Like, oh, that's crazy. That is kind of wild. No.
SPEAKER_01That was great. I didn't know Noah had allergies.
SPEAKER_06Good to know that. I want him to get like retested though. I think it's time to do. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, because I think Emily got tested at like what? She was probably two.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Oh wow. Maybe. Because I think you can outgrow from like peanuts and tree nuts, I think.
SPEAKER_03Well, she outgrewed she outgrew like eggs. She was fine. Tomatoes. Um, she's tomatoes. She used to be allergic. So does she eat them now and she's fine? She just well now she just like doesn't like them because she never grew up eating them. Gotcha. Like egg like she'll eat eggs and like stuff. Okay. But I mean like even things like with egg whites in it, she couldn't eat. Like she couldn't eat like a cake.
unknownOh.
SPEAKER_03That's just me as a white substitute. But now, like, she's fine. But like we used to get pizza with no tomato sauce on it. Because she couldn't eat tomatoes. That's why she likes ranch so much because she never ate like ketchup.
SPEAKER_06I hate ketchup anyways. Alright. Oh. She's not missing out on that one. Alright. Well. I hate the smell of ketchup. I hate touching ketchup.
SPEAKER_03The smell of ketchup. I love ketchup to the core. If there's one thing, guys, I love ketchup so much. You don't like the smell of it though? Oh my god. If the worst is like if there's ketchup on a plate and someone puts the plate in the sink and like I walk by it and I can smell the ketchup, I'll literally throw up. Okay, I can see that.
SPEAKER_06If I was in Fear Factory and I had to go in a tub of ketchup, I think I would just cap out. Speaking of a tub of the cover. That's my worst fear.
SPEAKER_03At um at Michigan State, one of the dorm halls, Holmes Hall, they had like a uh like cafeteria. And it wasn't like a nice one. Like I lived in Brody and it was like a huge cafe with like different stations and like places. This was just like a little like it was really small. But like me and Kate would go up there because Kate lives in Holmes Hall. And dude, I don't understand. I don't remember any of the other like cafeterias having this. Their ketchup, like, you know when you get like salad dressing at a like a salad bar and like a vat and you like scoop it. Yeah, is that what their ketchup was?
SPEAKER_02Stop. I'm literally getting goosebumps right now. It was in a big like tub.
SPEAKER_03Like just out in the open? And you ladled it. Like I'm curious. Like, guys, I'm so dead. I think I would actually vomit. I'm not gonna lie, I think there was literally a couple times where I, me, was like, I cannot eat that ketchup. Because like, what do you mean it's just out in a tub? Like, that's wrong. It's wrong. Other places had like the pumps.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, like when you go to like a tiger's game, it's in those like big pumps. Oh god.
SPEAKER_03It was like in a ketchup so much.
SPEAKER_06I'm getting goosebumps. That's why when you said that is so funny. Tony wouldn't talk about it anymore before I vomit.
SPEAKER_05Do you have anything that texturize like that I don't like? Yeah, like I won't say the word that she's catch-ups.
SPEAKER_03I mean I have things about it. I have things that I don't like. Like I don't like this, I don't know if this is along the same lines. I hate glitter. Not even the texture of it. I just hate the concept of it like if things are glittery and like they look glittery, that's cool. If I'm gonna touch it, that's gonna be on my hand. Yeah, I don't ever want it to be near me. Yeah. Get it away from me. I don't like when I pick something up. I mean, I think this is pretty like general. I don't like when things are sticky. If I pick something up and it's sticky, I'm immediately like, I need to wash my hands. Yeah. Yeah. The literathing I blame on my mom. Because she she was like, glitter never comes, she like never goes away. Like if you get glitter on something, it's literally there for like months. Yeah. So I was like, okay. But yeah, so that I don't like that. I don't I just I don't like when I eat something. Also, if I eat something and there's not like a crunch in it, I'm probably not gonna like it. Interesting. I don't like when things are all the same texture.
SPEAKER_00Okay, I I would kind of agree. Like if I'm eating like like I'll eat yogurt.
SPEAKER_06But you need like a granola in it.
SPEAKER_03Like I'll eat it by itself, but it's gonna be so much better if there's like a granola in it. Or if I put like a fresh fruit in it. Yeah. Okay, I just don't like that when things are like just like one like mushy. Yeah. Is that my vibe? Yeah. That's why you said you like the like soggy fries. Soggy fries. And like the weird. I was like, okay.
SPEAKER_00Do you have any like weird things like that, Taylor? I can't think of anything now. I'm sure there is. I just can't think of anything. I'm sure there is a texture that I do not like. Have you guys tried oysters? Nope. But I don't think I don't think I like it.
SPEAKER_05I'm not gonna lie.
SPEAKER_03I've had a frog. I don't ever had a frog. I've had buffalo. Karma ordered um gator when we were in Florida and she wanted me to try it, and I said no.
SPEAKER_06Gator's how does it come?
SPEAKER_03Like a jerky? No, it looked like calamari.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it literally tastes like chicken.
SPEAKER_03Which I also haven't had calamari because I just don't need to get it.
SPEAKER_06I don't really care for calamari.
SPEAKER_03Someone else can do that. That's a gator? Yeah, it was gator.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. It's good. Can I dip it in sauce? Yeah, you can. Yeah, I don't think there's yeah.
SPEAKER_02It literally bought like aol.
SPEAKER_06I had it at New Orleans and it it literally that's because they have gator at any restaurant, and it's so good. It literally just tastes like chicken to me.
SPEAKER_05Do they make it a jerky form?
SPEAKER_06I'm sure they do. Probably. Oh. Gator jerky. I'm sure they do. I like trying new foods. I will always try new things before saying I don't like something.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's that could that could be. I like 50-50.
SPEAKER_03Really?
SPEAKER_06Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03I'm very adventurous when it comes to food. I will say, sometimes I'm in a mood where I'm just like if you catch me on a good day, like try this. I'm like, you know what? Yeah, I will try it. That's kind of how I am. But yeah. There's other times where I'm like, yeah. But if it looks at me wrong, I'm like sometimes still if I'm eating something that I like, I'll look at it. I'm like, I've seen enough of that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I would agree. And I'll be like, I'm done. Like I'm like the type like I want to go to like other countries and try their food. Just to like see, I like feel like I I don't even know how to say this.
SPEAKER_03I feel like it would be disrespectful. I feel like it could be disrespectful to me to go to some other countries because I'd be like so unwilling to try new things that I'd almost be like, then why are you here? You'd just go to like their McDonald's.
SPEAKER_00But their McDonald's have different things. No, but like I'd try.
SPEAKER_03I would love to go and like, but it's like part of their culture, and I don't want to like go into like what not partake in the culture. Like if I'm there, I want to like Yeah, yeah. I want to be open to it. Yeah. I feel like I almost feel like I'd have to be. Like, I'd be like, Yeah, of course.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but just try it.
SPEAKER_05And if you don't like it, you don't like it. Where's the taco from?
SPEAKER_03Where's the you got like you guys got ketchup?
SPEAKER_06I always wonder, like, you know, people from other countries when they come to America and like yeah, they try Taco Bell for the first time, what they think.
SPEAKER_03They're probably like, Well, this is horrible. They probably what kind of crap is? Yeah, this is America. This is Taco Bell. This is it. This is it. I don't know. What if they come to America and try like a hot dog?
SPEAKER_00If I came to America and what's the most amaz Oh, go ahead, sorry. If I tried like Jets pizza, I'd go crazy for it. Like, I feel like that's one thing. If I ever moved out of Michigan, which I know there are jets in other states now. Yeah, but like But like I feel like the Michigan Jets so good. But like that is one thing I would like totally miss.
SPEAKER_03If some okay, if someone like from a different country like came over and they're like visiting you, if you have like an exchange student living with you, yeah, what's something that you would be like, oh, this is like a staple, like you have to try this while you're here.
SPEAKER_06That they don't have.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, or just something like probably a pony dog. Oh, that's a really good thing. Yeah, because I just like it's like so funny. Like the Fago red pop. Yeah. Like all the Michigan staples. Like a Verners? Yeah. I'm a Canada dry girl. A Verner Slurpee from 7 Eleven.
SPEAKER_05Yum. No comment. I d I don't like Verners, I like Canada Dry. Which I know does not reverly beefy. Oh my god. I've never had Canada Dry.
SPEAKER_06Oh, that's my favorite.
SPEAKER_05Um after we recorded last time, Sam and I um episodes three through six again.
SPEAKER_03Shut up. We're like, should we put an episode on? We also got pizza. And the frozen crazy coffee from Fitzge Joe's. We were so bad that day. No, we weren't. We were filling. We weren't. You're right.
SPEAKER_06You guys were just chilling.
SPEAKER_03We literally we put on it. We're like, which episode should we watch? And we're like, maybe we're feeling a little Scott and Kip episodes. We put on episode three and then four and then five. And the next thing you know, they're leaving the cottage. And I said, Well, this is crazy.
SPEAKER_06I love that for you guys so much.
SPEAKER_05I'm obsessed.
SPEAKER_06I know when I started watching um Tell Me Lies. I wanna watch it. Have you ever watched it at all? No. First time.
SPEAKER_03Have you ever watched it at all? No, I want to watch it. I've watched I haven't watched the newest season. Okay. But I've watched all the rest of it. I just feel like I need to like sit down and like be devoted.
SPEAKER_06I think we're on episode four or five, but I don't know how to feel about it because I feel like it's a lot of sex scenes.
SPEAKER_03Hey, so maybe don't watch Heat of Raffle. I don't mind it, but I've got sex scenes. I don't know what you mean, like in that context, there's a lot of like the word I'm gonna say is not gonna be appropriate. Rangy? No, yeah, I guess raunchy, maybe. There's a lot of like double dipping that goes around. I feel like if you know what I mean. Okay.
SPEAKER_06Double dipping. I don't know.
SPEAKER_03Double dipping basically.
SPEAKER_06I feel like there's a lot of like like people having sex with other people. Like is that what you think? They have also had sex with like these people that are how I feel like tell me lies is that's what I mean.
SPEAKER_03That's what I'm talking about.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, but the only reason I like I'm I'm not a huge fan is because I feel like it's like every like five, like you have like a There's like not enough plot, yeah, and it's just like people just hooking up, and I'm just like I I'm hoping that's not how the rest of the season goes. I feel like it's not okay. But I'm just like it's like, oh, here's another sex scene, then two minutes go by. Oh, here's another one. There's three seasons total. I'm not sure. I think there's only three seasons.
SPEAKER_03The and the third one like just came out. Okay. I don't I'm like I can only recall like the second season.
SPEAKER_06I don't think there's everyone says it's really good and it has like a lot of twists and turns.
SPEAKER_03It was good. Was it Mike my favorite show I ever watched? I'm not like in a rush to watch the newest season, but okay. It wasn't bad. That was pretty good.
SPEAKER_06I mean, yeah. It's already hard for us to watch a show, so we haven't watched it in like four days, three, four days. But I'm like, I don't know if I'm gonna finish it.
SPEAKER_00Do you feel like it's like a lot to watch as a couple?
SPEAKER_06No. Okay, it's just like I'm like, oh, here's another sex scene. Like, it just feels like there's a sex scene after the next scene, which is nice, like here and there, but I'm like, then I at that point I'm like, I might as well put on porn.
SPEAKER_05Like eat it right, real rate.
SPEAKER_06Like, you know what I mean? Like, I'm just like, I want to watch a show to watch a show.
SPEAKER_00Like, yo, that'd be horrible.
SPEAKER_02Crazy. That's terrible.
SPEAKER_00Me, I'm like, I don't remember any of those scenes. What's that one on Netflix that like everyone was talking about like years ago? Is it like 365 or whatever? 365 days. Is that what I'm thinking of? Where it's like all the mafia?
SPEAKER_03Oh, I don't know. No, it's 365 days with that song. It's like I see red. Or no? Oh, yeah. Yeah, it's that one. That, okay. You guys ever watched you I you probably haven't. You ever watched like all the after movies? I was obsessed with them. Are you still like idiots? Do you know how like as the movies went on, there's like less and less of a plot, and like you couldn't figure out what was happening? Absolutely, but I lived for it. 365 Days, I think there's two or three movies. Okay. There were times where I literally had like paused the movie and I'm like, What the heck are they talking about? Because I think they like took the plot, like the script from all through the movies, and like threw the papers in the air, and then just like collected the first like 100 pages, and they're like, This is the plot line. Because I was literally like, What is going on? They probably didn't know. And I was like, This is it's worse than like the plot of after.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, which I'll get me wrong. I ate those movies up. Yeah, the first one was definitely like the best, and then it was like the last one was another. It wasn't bad, but it was just very none of them were great. No, but yeah, but that's kind of what 365. Wow. That just brought up a whole memory. Yeah, I used to be obsessed with those movies.
SPEAKER_03Those were on I was at Barnes and Noble earlier. Yeah. And they had like a Bound getting 50% off like rack in the romance section. Yeah. And one of the after books was up there. I think it was the after After We Collid. Okay, yeah. So whatever that one falls. Those are good movies.
SPEAKER_00I think I've only seen two of them. I think I did tell you to watch them, and I think you've only seen the two.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Yeah. The guy was super hot, that's all I remember.
SPEAKER_00Hard of Harden Harden.
SPEAKER_03He's Sherlock Holmes now. What? In like the new Sherlock Holmes movie. Oh. Is it a movie or a show? Good for him.
SPEAKER_00Did you know the girl was the sister from the girl from 13 Reasons Why? Yeah. No. Did you ever watch 13 Reasons Why?
SPEAKER_06I have. Not the whole season. I think I only watched season one.
SPEAKER_00That that like to me that was a good show. Like, I feel like they portrayed it very well.
SPEAKER_06I think I also only watched two seasons. Really? It was okay. I it wasn't. I think I stopped watching it the other seasons because I didn't care to watch it. Oh.
unknownOh.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_00That was like my hyperfixation show for a minute.
SPEAKER_03I I feel like when I was in it, I was in it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Like season one was really good, but I was like, eh. Did you guys ever watch Riverdale?
SPEAKER_03Yes. No. But I did not watch the whole same. I watched again, I think I watched one and a half seasons, maybe maybe two and a half seasons. Yes, T. It got to the point where I was like, what is happening? Yeah, I think it got weird. It got apparently got just got weirder and weirder and weird. But the own the own cast of Riverdale will be like, honestly, I don't even know what was going on at the end.
SPEAKER_06Oh they're like, I don't know what's happening. I hate shows like that where it's like it's good and it has potential, and then it just and then yeah, I don't understand that. Yeah, then it just goes. We're losing the plot. We're literally losing the plot. We are. Yeah. I did watch a couple seasons of that. Do you watch Peaky Blinders? No. Taylor had neither.
SPEAKER_03I was saying because the Peaky Blinders is really good. I feel like you and Noah would like Peaky Blinders.
SPEAKER_05I know. You told us to watch it. I just That'd be really good. I don't know why every time you say the name of that show, it just reminds me of Pee Wee Herman.
SPEAKER_00Like that's what I'm just imagining. I don't I don't know what to expect. Uh I feel like it couldn't be further from that, but Can you give me a few?
SPEAKER_06I don't know. Don't you think the character is like super high?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, he was my Hear Me Out guy, Killian Murphy, and you guys were like, I don't know who that is. Yeah. Um it takes place in like 1920. And it's about like it's about like um 1920s like mobsters and like gambling. And it's the Peaky Blinders are like uh it's like a gang in uh where are they at? Such a speaker. It's like Peaky Blinders. Well they have like razor blades that they sew into their hats and they hit you in the face with them sometimes. Okay, wait, what is this show on? Netflix? It's on Netflix. There's I think there's six seasons. I've seen it on Netflix. Six seasons? And then they just made a movie to like wrap everything up. And so I watched the movie and then I just went back and I'm like rewatching it now. It's really it's really good. I'm rewatching Glee. Wow, that was crazy.
SPEAKER_05I totally forgot I started like Glee from the beginning like a year ago, and I was like, I need a show to watch.
SPEAKER_03I've never I've I tried watching Glee in I've never watched it. Freshman yeah. Then does it shock me? No, freshman year I tried to watch I tried watching Glee and I I don't even know if I made it through the first season. Which is crazy because I love love good music.
SPEAKER_06I I don't but my mom doesn't like a good she doesn't like a musical. I don't I'm not like I liked high school musical and I think that's the freedom.
SPEAKER_03Who didn't like guys musical?
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Let's be honest. But I'm not like the one to be like, oh let me put on a movie with like a musical vibe to it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_06I made my mom watch The Jonas Brothers Christmas and I didn't realize it was a musical. Yeah, I did watch that one too. I had her watch it. Did you watch it? I did.
SPEAKER_03It was like the second music scene, and I was like, oh my god. I was like, Mom, I promise I didn't know this was a musical. She's like, sure you didn't. I'm like, no, I didn't, but it was really funny. I forget.
SPEAKER_06I think I watched it with my sister or something, and I also didn't know it was like a musical thing, and I'm like, well, we're already watching. It was funny though. It was funny.
SPEAKER_03It was clowny.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it was. It was funny.
SPEAKER_03I also just love a good. My mom's if it my mom watched anything Christmas related.
SPEAKER_06Like Camp Rock was good too. But again, it had because it had that good like Disney feel. Yeah. Yeah. I liked Camp Rock.
SPEAKER_03Is that Camp Rock one or two better? Probably one. I think the classic. Yeah. Yeah, same, same, same, same. I'm really interested to see when the new Camp Rock comes out. Yeah. I think it's gonna be like the Hannah Montana thing where it didn't live up to its hype. No. Hot take guys, they don't think it lives up to its hype. I've never seen it. But Tana and Diana both today have said that it was not. Oh wait, no, you hadn't seen it. I haven't seen it.
SPEAKER_00Oh, but you said you had heard that it wasn't a I think the only thing like I think it could have had potential. I just don't think I'm a big fan of Alex Cooper. Like, not her personally, but like I just didn't feel like it was necessary for her to be like half interviewing. But then they had like everything from the set, and like that was I did see clips of the Antiduck, they had like this set. And then they had Chaperone come on, and that was like so random.
SPEAKER_03How are you thinking about like all the her yelling at everyone?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I mean, I do. Do you know about this?
SPEAKER_00I don't think I would handle that well if I was a celebrity, like the constant, but like unfortunately, that's kind of what you're signing up for when you are a celebrity. That's what, like, you don't do you know Chaperone?
SPEAKER_03You know the song Pink Pony Club? Yes. Okay, oh, she sings that she sings as well. Yeah, okay. She like was on a red carpet, and you like the paparazzi that take pictures of the red carpet? Yeah. They're not good, like they're probably not the nicest people. I've never met them, but I can only venture to say. And they were like yelling, like whatever, and she like got sick of it. And she was like, Shut up. Like, you don't bother. She like kind of yelled at them. And sometimes, and some people were like, Okay, good for you for like standing for yourself. Yeah. But now, like, it's gotten to the point where she like like I saw she was like walking through an airport, and I guess she had like this is all stuff I've seen online, so I don't know. But she like someone like uh a fan was like filming her, and she like pointed the fan out to security, and security like went up to the fan and was like, You can't be doing this. And she just has all this like crap about like people need to leave me alone and like yada yada. And I'm like, if someone comes up to you and you want to take a picture, you can just be like, Yeah, it gets nice to meet you. I don't want to take a picture right now. Celebrities do that all the time. Yeah, but she's had like multiple in the last few weeks. Well, and I guess then people were saying, so she always had I guess in interviews she had said like she met a bunch of like her friends or like colleagues or whatever at like the summer camp. She's like, I have like at the summer camp, blah blah blah. Like summer camp she's referring to was like Grammy camp, apparently, where you have to pay like thousands of dollars to go to this camp. But she's also said in interviews that she grew up like in a trailer park and like she came from like nothing, but then her like I guess like her someone in her family owned this like huge golf course, and like the house that she lived in was like not like it was like six thousand square feet. I guess I don't know. I guess all this stuff's been like coming up that like she's kind of been downplaying. Wow, and then she also came out and was like crapping on the Grammys, and she was like, The Grammys are just like a place I don't remember what she exactly said, basically just like where rich people go to entertain rich people, and she was like kind of crapping on them. People were like, That's so funny because you went to Grammy camp and you won a Grammy. I don't know, so I just think I think like, yeah, if you want like privacy and like a hundred percent, if I was like a celebrity and I was on about and maybe I just did not want to take a picture with somebody, yeah, yeah. I'd be like, Yeah, like it's nice to meet you. Like, I'm sorry I'm not gonna take a picture right now, but like, you know, whatever. Okay, then people will be like, okay, and if they have a problem with that, then that's their problem. Yeah, but like she was walking to her car, I saw a clip of her, and I'm not saying that it's right, but like if you're a celebrity and you're in New York or wherever, a big city, paparazzi is just gonna, they're gonna know you're there. Yeah. If your car pulls up to get you, they're gonna know you're there. The security's gonna make a little line, they're gonna usher you to your car. Like, people see it all the time. Like, it happens. She came out like with her phone up and she was like filming them, and she's like, These people are here to like bubble.
SPEAKER_00I'm like, girl, yeah, that's the one I saw.
SPEAKER_03You could have just walked out and got in the car.
SPEAKER_00Wow, or she was she was recently in a different country and like some famous soccer player, his like stepdaughter, who was like 11, was like with her mom. And they were like at a table and they like walked by Chapel and they like like kind of just looked at her, didn't say anything, walked away, and then the little girl said to her mom, like, oh, that was Chapel, and then the security walks up to the mom and the 11-year-old and is like, You can't do that. You guys need to be escorted out of here or something. And they're like, We didn't even talk to her. We literally like just like looked at her, walked away. My daughter was like, Oh, that's so and so, and so yeah, I don't know, but I did see the one of her like filming people, yeah, and I was like, and like like then she was like, Do you like it when you get filmed?
SPEAKER_06It's like, okay, I'm sorry, but does she like not know that comes with her job?
SPEAKER_03And this is the thing, it's like I get it to a sense like, yeah, they're still like they're just people, yeah.
SPEAKER_06And give them a lot and I also get like it could be annoying, especially 24-7. Everywhere you go, there's people following you, and it's sure, I'm sure like I would get annoyed too, but like you're also feeding into it, yeah.
SPEAKER_03You're standing on a red carpet, like screaming at the paparazzi, yeah.
SPEAKER_06Like that, and like you are famous, and that's what your life is.
SPEAKER_03And here's the thing though, people are saying they're like, There are so many famous people, you do not see them photographed, yeah. Like they're like Lady Gaga, when is it a massive celebrity? When is she when have you just seen her being like mobbed by paparazzi? You you haven't. If she doesn't want to be seen on a red carpet, she's not gonna go. Like, they're like, Yeah, I get you're a huge celebrity, but you can still do things, even like Harry Styles. Harry Styles is a huge celebrity. There's like clips of him just like walking around the streets of New York, and like for sure. There's been times where he's like, Oh, I'm sorry, like I'm not like yeah, but like the last time I saw him like like mobbed by paparazzi was when he was going to the SNL after party, which like of course they're gonna be there.
SPEAKER_00But I'm like, you can be a celebrity and like I think I would just have my Hannah Montana moment and literally have like a wig and just look like a normal person. I just put a hat on, like and especially like Chapel, like she is such a I hate to use the word character when she performs, but it's like you could literally throw a wig on, sunglasses on. Yes, they might know where you live and they might be stationed out close by, but it's like I just get it.
SPEAKER_03Put your hand to slick back and put a hat on and literally go on your marriage. Anyway, and if they like don't like you're like antagonizing them, yeah.
SPEAKER_00At the same time. I'm like, I don't know. Or like I always think about like how the Kardashians can be in Target. Like, I've never seen a picture of them in Target. No. So it's like, I'm sure you're fine.
SPEAKER_05I know. That's so true.
SPEAKER_03I don't know. But yeah, I just keep saying and I keep seeing like the memes of people are making where it's like I just saw Chapel Roan in a coffee shop and I accidentally said hi to her. She came over and slapped my coffee out of my hand and then took $20 from me and like ran away. Like people are just like making up the most absurd stories. Oh my god. I keep signing it to my sister on TikTok, and they're so funny.
SPEAKER_06It's so ridiculous, but did she recently just become famous? Like, is that like how she got famous from the song?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, last couple years I'd say. Hot to go, Pink Pony Club. What's hot to go?
SPEAKER_06She sings that too.
SPEAKER_00Yep. Uh The Subway, that was like another popular one.
SPEAKER_01Red Line Supernova, I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Yep.
SPEAKER_01Huh.
SPEAKER_00She did like a couple like festivals and stuff.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. She's a really good performer.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, I I like her music.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. She performed an SNL.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I just feel like I don't know. She's not the nicest.
SPEAKER_03I think everyone like deserves their privacy and stuff, but at the same time, I feel like you're kind of going out of your way to like whatever privacy you do have, you're kind of getting in the way of your own privacy. Yeah. That's not me. I would agree. I would agree. Oh, because then I think also she was like when the thing came out about like the soccer player's daughter, I think she made a comment where she was like, I would never have my security like go after like a fan. And then like there's a club of her in an airport being filmed, and she literally goes like this to security. She like points to security and then points to the fan filming and then sends the security over to the fan. Like, that's so funny. You just said you wouldn't do that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06That's interesting. Well, those poor fans are never gonna no have good encounters with her, right? That's gonna suck. She's probably like that with everyone.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I would assume so.
SPEAKER_06Like, I don't know. You're just like asking to be hated.
SPEAKER_03People were like, if she doesn't want to interact with her fans, then fine. Like, don't listen, like, we won't interact at all. Don't listen to her music, don't go to her concerts. I was like, oh.
SPEAKER_06Could you imagine she like throws a concert, like nobody shows up?
SPEAKER_05Dude, I think that would make her sad. Yeah, well, it'd be nicer.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it's my concert, no phones.
SPEAKER_00That's like, who was that celebrity a few years ago that like literally there was like someone in the front row on their phone and they were like, get off your phone.
SPEAKER_06Do you know who I'm talking about?
SPEAKER_05It was like last summer.
SPEAKER_06I vaguely remember this. Well, I want to say it's like Nicki Minaj, but it probably was not Nicki Minaj.
SPEAKER_00I don't know.
SPEAKER_06I don't know.
SPEAKER_00I vaguely remember this. But they were like, get off your phone, that's not why you're at a concert. But like I feel like I'm like half on my phone for like I don't know, like the memory.
SPEAKER_03I'm not gonna go to a concert and I feel like I've like I've like blacked out half of what happened.
SPEAKER_00I always feel like when I'm at a concert that I blacked out, like even if I am like trying to pay attention, it's like a whole new like yeah. You just so like there's so much adrenaline, so much, and then it ends and you're like, I'm like, did I just miss the whole concert?
unknownLike it's over.
SPEAKER_03So I like I totally get people being like on their phones and filming. I try to do like if there's certain moments that like like when I saw Harry in New York, I like had my phone like up and I had it like next to my face. Yes. So I like wasn't watching it, but I knew that it was like getting what I was seeing.
SPEAKER_00Yep, yeah.
SPEAKER_03So I didn't want to miss anything.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think when I'm at a concert, I'm like, I'm in the same room as them. No, it's crazy. And I think that's what I think the whole time. I'm like, you see them. What are they doing here? You're just hey, hey, you're here.
SPEAKER_02Literally, right?
SPEAKER_05Literally, I'm like, That's wild.
SPEAKER_06Like this is how you look like in person.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's always funny, like when I go to a concert, and then so obviously, like usually they'll come out and like do like two or three songs, and then they'll talk, like introduce themselves. Yeah, but by then I feel like my ears are always ringing, and then like when they talk, their voice sounds different because your ears are like kind of messed up. Yeah, and I'm like, that's what they sound like, and they're like, No, it's not. Wait a day. Because then I talk and I'm like, oh, I sound like a chipmunk. Yeah. I'm like, oh I want to get the loops earbuds. What's that? It's like a brand. I think it's called loops, yeah. But they um they're just earbuds, they make some that are for like sleeping, they make some that are for like everyday noises, and then they make some that are for concerts. Oh and they just like dim, like I don't know how it works, I don't know. But something about like it just dims like the audio. Yeah. So it's not as like damaging to your ears. Wow. Yeah, but I want to get the um the concert ones. You can wear them to like sporting events. Oh concerts. That's so nice that that got invented because yeah, and they just look they're like um they just look like little, they kind of look like little fruit loops in your ear. They're cute, yeah.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, I was like, I need to probably want to get some of those.
SPEAKER_00Could you imagine just wearing those at work? If it would help me not be overstimulated, I probably would. You could yeah. I get so overstimulated so fast at work. Oh my god, yeah, you should get some. I probably should.
SPEAKER_03I think I know Julia has some. I don't know which one she has. Yeah. Are they expensive? Some of them are like $40, and I think some of them are like $60. Yeah. Because it's hard at work. Loops, yeah. I want to get a pair. They sell them at Target. Oh, they do $25 at Target. Yeah, because they sell some that are I think it depends on which ones you get, because then they have some that are like the they work for like all environments. I think those are like $59. I was at Target not long ago when I saw them and I was like, oh, I'm gonna get some of these.
SPEAKER_06I never even knew these were a thing. Interesting. Yeah, so everyone get yourself some loops, I guess. Yeah, I mean to protect your hearing.
SPEAKER_03But I wonder if they would help you on the plane. Probably not, because you like they have like the No, mine's more like pressure. Yeah, I was gonna say, yeah, like pressure changes from the plane. Maybe they need to dive into that market. They're missing out on a whole demographic of people. They might be.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. They need to get some for the plane. The plane. That'd be cool. Alright, ladies.
SPEAKER_03It's been an hour and a half. Everything without me fill an episode of like, oh, this is gonna be shorter than the last one.
SPEAKER_05I feel like we had a lot to fill each other in on, though. Yeah. Yeah, we did. We really did. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Any upcoming things, anyone?
SPEAKER_05I have a busy week. That's about it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06We got a regular week. Nothing crazy. I mean, April's gonna be just a busy time until we see each other in May in Florida. Dude, it's gonna be like, dude, we have like 50 days. I'm so excited.
SPEAKER_05So so excited.
SPEAKER_03We have like a month and a half.
unknownStop.
SPEAKER_03Stop. I'm not okay. I didn't really take the time off work. I'll put that in. I can't believe you haven't. It was it was on my calendar today of things to do. It said haircut with Taylor. Check. And then it said, put in PT over Florida. Not check. I said something else too. I should probably look at that.
SPEAKER_00Well it was a pod. Um, get my blood drawn, which I didn't. Oh, she did do that this morning.
SPEAKER_03Good. Oh my god, that was crazy. Why? Real quick, real quick. I know we said if you died. That was a big story. Bro, I gotta get my bludger on. Yeah. Oh my god. This is crazy. I go in. It's like I think I got there at 10 a.m. And usually just like a little busy. It's just the weekend, whatever. I walk in, I check in at the kiosk. I sit down. I'm like sitting near like because then once you check at the kiosk, then they like call you up later and you like sign something. Yeah, yeah. So I'm like, wait, I'm like by the desk where the girl's at. I'm like not eavesdropping, but they're like talking, you know. From what I had gathered, they had some sort of like team meeting, some sort of staff meeting. Uh-huh. And like two of the phlebotomists, that's that's what they're called. Yeah. They just walked out. They left. So this girl is here by herself. So she's checking these people in, and then she's going back and she's doing the blood draw. Then she's coming back up, checking people in. Sha- uh. So she was doing like five people at a time, and then she'd go back there. She'd call them up, and she kept being, she was like, guys, I'm so sorry. Like, it's gonna take a minute if you're here for lab work. Like, it's it's literally just me. Like, it's just me. And the other girl at the counter was the girl checking people in for like radiology. Yeah. So she's like, it's just me, guys. And everyone was like, No, like it's just Where'd you go? Um, the Ascension on 23 and Romeo Blank.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_03And um, so anyway, so it was just her, and I was like, that's f that's fine, like whatever. She was like really nice about it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03For the majority, everyone else was really nice, but there's a couple people who kept coming up. I'm like, girl, she did not call your name. Sit down. Like, you'll be fine. Sit down. So, like, whatever, blah blah blah. I'm like sitting there. You're like, I should have brought a book. You're like, I should have brought a book at my kid. I really had to pee, and I was afraid like the minute I got to pee, she was gonna call my name. Yeah. So I waited until she checked in like five people, and she got up and walked away, and I ran to the bathroom. Right. But anyway, so she calls me up. Check Samantha. I'm like, yeah, that's me. I'm up there. She's like, oh, do you have like an order for your doctor? Blah blah blah. Yeah, she's like, okay. She told me something. She goes, Oh girl. I said, What? I look at her, I go, what? Why would you say that? And she was like, You gotta make a payment. I said, Okay, like what am I paying? Like, what do I have to make a payment for? And she goes, You owe $400. I looked at her, I said, I owe $400. What? To the to who? To you? Who I owe $400 to? She's like, from June of 2024. What? I go, okay. What the hell are you talking about? I'm like, I owe you $400? She's like, yeah. I'm like, from June of 2004, like 2024? I'm like, what do you mean? She's like, from your doctor's office. I go, first of all, I was at my doctor's office two weeks ago when they gave me this order for the blood draw. No one said anything. Yeah. No one told me I'll do $400. Yeah. I'm like, um, she's like, well, you have to make a payment. I go, can I not get my blood drawn right now unless I make a payment? She's like, no. Which you still don't understand. I don't understand. I don't understand. I don't understand how she knew this. I don't understand why like my doctor's office didn't say that. So I'm like, what are you talking about? So she's like, just she's like, honestly, she's like, I would just sign up for the payment plan, make a payment, but then call like the billing, like when I give you your receipt, call the billing people and be like, what? Why is this on here?
SPEAKER_06You know, I wouldn't even do the fucking payment plan.
SPEAKER_03So I'm like, well, if I did the payment plan, I couldn't get my blood drawn. And I was already there for an hour. And I was like, and I have to fast. I have to go on the weekends because I have to fast. And I can't go like before. So I'm like, oh my God. Okay. So I just like I made a payment. Whatever. And then I told my mom afterwards, I'm like, you know what? Don't complain too much because at least you're like in a spot where like you can make a payment plan and it's not like detrimental. So like some people like they don't not in that position. So whatever. So I make I pay a payment.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, whatever.
SPEAKER_03Fine. Sit down. I go back to my blood drawn. She was, I mean, they were chill. They're super chill people. Yeah. Oh, but before actually, right before I went up again to get my blood drawn, I was texting my mom about this freaking payment. Because I'm also only 2024 was on my dad's insurance. Yeah. Oh, because that's what it was. She goes, I go, What about she's like, was it your insurance? Didn't cover something? I'm like, well, what about my dad's insurance? Like, I don't know. She goes, Well, what insurance was it? I'm like, blue cross, blue shield. And she goes, Oh, in my opinion, they kind of suck sometimes. I'm like, oh my god, I'm like, okay, I don't know. Like, I don't know what you want me to do. So I'm like, okay, whatever. So I'm like sitting down, texting my mom. This lady comes up. Oh, so in the meantime, they had put two pieces of paper over the kiosks that said the lab is closed. Yeah. Because she's like, I'm never getting out of here. You know? Yeah. So my other lady did end up coming up to help her. But um, so this this mom walks up with her daughter and she's like, um, she goes over to the kiosk and sees that there's that they're closed. She like throws her hands up. And I'm like, oh god, here we go. Here we go. Karen incoming, right? She's like, she looks at her daughter, she's like, I'm just gonna ask anyway, I'm just gonna ask. She goes up, she's like, hi, like I just like my daughter needs to get her blood drawn. It says the thing's closed. And the girl, the the girl doing like the radiology was talking to her because the other girl was checking someone in. And she's like, Yeah, like I'm sorry, like we're extremely short-staffed, it's literally just like one person. Um, so we close the lab because by the time all these people go through, like, our lab would be closed anyway. Yeah. And she's like, Okay, well, my daughter needs to get her blood drawn. Like, immediately has an attitude. She's like, Yeah, like I'm I'm sorry. Like, and then the girl's like, Is there a different lab that's open different times? She's like, I don't know, like you could maybe find different tabs. She's like, But usually on Saturdays they all close at like this time, whatever. And she's like, Well, my daughter has a doctor's appointment on Monday, that's a very important doctor's appointment, and she has to have her blood drawn before then, and now she's gonna have to reschedule this doctor's appointment. And the girl, like the checking people in, she's like, I'm sorry, like you know, like it's it's just me here, like it's literally just me, and all these people are still waiting. And she's like, Oh, she's like, Well, I came on, I came the other day, or I think she was like, You could have you should have come like earlier. Yeah, yeah. She's like, Well, I came at like 15 minutes before you guys closed, and I was turned away. And she goes, Well, you shouldn't have been turned away. Like, if you were here, you wouldn't have been turned away. She's like, Yeah, well, whatever. So at this point, she's like walking out of the building. She's like, Well, I was turned away. Now my daughter's gonna have to reschedule her doctor's appointment out. It's super important, and I guess now she's just not gonna go because the lab's closed, no one can get her blood drawn. She's like complaining while she walks out. And the girl turns to like the other, like the radiology girl, and she goes, Honestly, I was probably gonna draw her daughter's blood, but with that attitude, she can forget it. Yeah. And I was like, and like there was some guy sitting next to me, and he like made a comment about that girl being a Karen, like under his breath, and I was just like, Some people just like you can't expect, like, like if someone's clothes or they can't handle it, like you should have done it earlier, like or the day before.
SPEAKER_06Like, why are you doing it?
SPEAKER_03And why also why are you that's not her fault. Well, that's the thing. I was talking to my mom, I'm like, here's the thing if it was such an important doctor's appointment on Monday, why did you wait until Saturday morning? That's what I was saying.
SPEAKER_06Like, why are you waiting last minute?
SPEAKER_03And if it was like, say she went like this morning to some like last minute appointment, and at the appointment they're like, you need to get your blood drawn for this. They would have made sure. Yeah, I think the doctor would have been like, Hey, I'm putting this order through. I'm gonna call down and tell them, like, do you have to have this blood draw? Whatever. Bro, I saw you literally walking from outside. Yeah what are we doing? I don't know. Anyway, that was the crazy part. Did you figure out the payment thing? Dude, it has to be from my TB test. That much for a TB test? Yeah, because I remember when I got my TB test that I got like a bill from something. But wasn't from my doctor, it was from some like lab. And then I was like, okay, that was weird. So I was like, so my husband was like sometimes they send it to you, but then insurance, like they pay whatever.
SPEAKER_01But no, I guess that was.
SPEAKER_03So you do have to do it. But in June for it, but it had to have been because I the only other blood work I would have gotten was like like blood work, which wouldn't have been $400. No, I would assume, because I've gotten blood work plenty of times before then. No, so I don't know, so I'm gonna have to like call them. I'm just based on like dates and stuff, that had to have been what it was. Because I had to get one before um my new job.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. But actually, no, because I started my job in January of 2025. So why would I have gone in June?
SPEAKER_03I don't know. I have to call them and be like, hey guys. Yeah, I would call just make sure. I just don't know why I was at my doctor's office and they weren't like, hey, in your Well, also, why didn't you get like a bill? Well, I'm wondering if it was going to like, it was under my dad's insurance. Did it go to like my dad? Like did insurance, like you know what I mean? Or did it go to like insurance or something? Then it I don't know. I remember something coming in the mail one time from like some lab place, but it was also around that same time when like all the hospital stuff got hacked. Um and I remember it had to have my TB test because I do remember like me and the doctors being like, oh, we're gonna have to send it. Oh no, but that was my that was my gynecologist. Because I remember they were like, we're gonna have to send it to like this other lab because like this got hacked, so it's gonna have to go wherever. I was like, okay, like whatever.
SPEAKER_06I just don't think a TB test would be that much with blue cross. Because I had gotten one before.
SPEAKER_03I've had blue cross before, and I didn't. Also, they're not sending anything to a lab if you get TB tests. They put it in your arm and then they look at it, right?
SPEAKER_06I might guess no, they look at it.
SPEAKER_03So I don't know what the $400 is for. I'm gonna have to call them and be like, hey guys, it's 2026.
SPEAKER_06And I'm just finding out that I have $400. How much did you end up paying? Like $100 something? Yeah, I put $100.
SPEAKER_03Or like $80, because I had to pay like a co I had to pay like a copay at the place. So she just made it like an even $100. She was super chill, she was so nice. She was like, I don't know. I was like, Well, I know you don't know. I'm not gonna get mad at you because what are you gonna do about it? I was just like, it was crazy. That is crazy. And then I got my blood drawn and I went to Target after and I came home. So it had been like almost two hours. I took the gauze off, arms bleeding still. Wow.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03So I was just abandoned on it. I don't know if it's still bleeding. I guess we're gonna find out later, but CBD. Yeah, I don't know. But that was crazy. CBD. Anyway, so I don't know if I was ever gonna wrap it up, and then I told like a 10 minutes.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that was that was a very interesting story.
SPEAKER_03So anyway, I got a call and be like, hey guys.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, keep me keep me updated.
SPEAKER_03What is this for? I don't know. What did I do? But I was thinking, because now I'm like, maybe it was from my gynecologist, but no, because it was from my like primary care, it had his name on it.
unknownHmm.
SPEAKER_03I don't think I've got the form of my car, so we can look at it if we want.
SPEAKER_06I just hope you didn't spend $100 for no reason.
SPEAKER_03I know I spent $100 for no reason instead of $400. True. So hopefully we'll be contacting them. Because I asked my mom, like, if I call them and they ask for my insurance, I'm gonna be like, it's not that anymore. But she said they should be able to pull my like old insurance.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_03I don't know, guys. I don't know.
SPEAKER_06Insurance is complicated.
unknownI don't know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I don't know. I don't get it.
SPEAKER_06But what else? Alright, guys. Thank you so much for listening. When is our next one? Is it on our planner?
SPEAKER_03Our next one to film. Yeah. I don't know. I still have we have this one and one more. I have kids still edit, so we'll okay. Um we did not set up our next one. So I think we only went so far and then we're like, we'll figure out the next ones. Um which is good for us. We kept up. We really did, honestly.
SPEAKER_06So it'd be like probably have to be like the 11th or the 12th. I am busy the 12th. The 11th?
SPEAKER_00I could do after work.
SPEAKER_06I think after the 11th. I think I am too. I have to double check though. Because next week's like Easter.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, next week's crazy. I work every day.
SPEAKER_06I work anyways.
SPEAKER_00Or I work every day except for when.
SPEAKER_06I'm gonna put April 11th in our group chat just so I feel like I have something to look. April and make sure. I feel like I have something on April 11th? Yeah, I don't know why. That's like speaking to you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I don't know.
SPEAKER_06April 11th. Alrighty. Well, we can look and see. Alright, guys, thank you so much for listening. Um I think we should get like a um whatchamacallit, a guest soon. Um and yeah, hope everyone's having a good weekend.
SPEAKER_03If you listen to this entire like over hour and a half episode, yes, thank you so much.
