SPEAKER_02My name's Jay.
SPEAKER_05Oh, damn. Two Jays on the show. I can't lose my initials, though. Oh, so so who's Jay number two today? Oh. Oh, hold on. Respect your elders. Nah, respect your elders is crazy. I was crazy. But I respect it. I respect it. You know, it go by TOJ. It go by TOJ. Alright, what's up? Brett?
SPEAKER_04No, you played me earlier. I don't I don't want to talk.
unknownWow.
SPEAKER_01It's a tension in here. What's up, Jay? How was your teaching?
SPEAKER_00It was good. I had a good week. Um, I don't know what I did last week, to be honest with you.
SPEAKER_06That was both.
SPEAKER_00That was Labor Day, right? Labor Day was kind of crazy. Labor Day. Labor Day, yeah. Labor Day was crazy. Labor Day was crazy for you? Yeah, Labor Day was crazy. Had to work. You know, Phoenix teaches hard these days.
SPEAKER_03Why was the teacher on the Labor Day? Teaching on Labor Day is crazy. Teaching that Labor Day is crazy.
SPEAKER_00I just can't remember Loki. I know yesterday I was going through how sushi yesterday and that shit fucked me up. Damn. Sushi fucked me up.
SPEAKER_05Look at that. Stop eating that rope fish. Still fuck me up.
SPEAKER_00Sushi fucked raw fish.
SPEAKER_01Huh? He came in here running to the chip.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that sushi had me going, bro. How about you, big bro?
SPEAKER_05Yo, I worked Labor Day too, but yo, Labor Day for me was actually, it was good. You was teaching too? Yeah, you know, we was teaching a whole lot.
SPEAKER_01Second grade? Huh? Second grade?
SPEAKER_05Oh, yeah. I used to actually teach sixth or seventh grade. It's crazy. Eighth grade too, low-key. I'm lying?
SPEAKER_02In what school?
SPEAKER_05In Hunts Point Middle School.
SPEAKER_02You gotta stop lying.
SPEAKER_04Am I lying, Bray? Nah, he did used to be a teacher. Jay, on the other hand. So what am I now? Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Look, I teach people in other ways now. Me! Me! And what you call NYC's finest? Take it how you want. Take it how you want.
SPEAKER_02Everybody does NYC finest. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01I think call NYC's finest.
SPEAKER_05Look at that. Look at us. Look at how we got here. She didn't mean it how you meant it. If she meant like best looking, then we meant it the same way.
SPEAKER_00Right. How do you feel about finally having your sibling on the show?
SPEAKER_04Oh, yes. I didn't introduce her publicly. Jordan. Jordan was being sure they see that. I mean, and I definitely asked her. Wait, so you saying I look like a man? Oh my god. Yo. I look nothing like her. This is my Brista. Brista, say hi. I'm not related to her. Brista means sister brother. Sometimes I have a sister in her. Sometimes I have a brother in her. I love what am I today? Who determines that? Me. Well, her. Because she has sassy moments and then she has moments where she's just. So what am I today? Today, I don't know. I gotta feel you, I gotta see how you move in today. She being sassy today. Oh. And we don't really like the sassy hut. It's too much. It's too much.
SPEAKER_01I was dealing with it since five in the morning. You gotta use the mic.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, you gotta use the mic.
SPEAKER_01I was dealing with it since five in the morning.
SPEAKER_00Who are you to Jay?
SPEAKER_01I'm her girlfriend.
SPEAKER_00Okay, there you go.
SPEAKER_04You gotta Yeah, you gotta announce it. You don't know. I didn't know. Like you don't know. This is my sister Brie Brie. Okay, there you go. Yes.
SPEAKER_05Alright. So, how long can someone soft launch a relationship before it feels like, you know, somebody's being hidden?
SPEAKER_04Describe explain what you mean by soft launch.
SPEAKER_05You know, they post in pictures on Instagram. Oh, let me cover his face, but I'm gonna show half of his body. Or show her hand in the picture. You know, so so that people know I got somebody.
SPEAKER_01This question is really like shading me right now. You don't even know you. I don't know you. Damn, it's the shoe fits. My permanent boom. Side sticks, yep.
SPEAKER_05Nah, but yeah. So so just let me know. I mean, since you the one that feels like it is, yo, that's on me, you go first.
SPEAKER_01I feel like I we everybody comes from different backgrounds.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_01And I'm one of those people that come from a different background, and I feel like I don't like when too much people's in my business. Okay. Because people take a lot of things in the wrong way. Like, people thought Jalen was a man at first. People thought I was with a man. So that's funny. So it was really just like So it was really just like, you know, I backed off the social media, and then we started going through like little rough patches, so it was just like, yeah. And then since then.
SPEAKER_05If you don't mind me asking, was the rough patches because like you're not showing me off, or was the rough patches like rough patches, so that's why I wasn't showing you off.
SPEAKER_01Oh no, it was rough patches. It was rough patches. You don't agree? Okay. No, because she said something like she shaded me before we left the house, she shaded me in a way. She was you said something about hiding somebody. She was like, oh yeah, you be hiding me. And I was like, huh? Like, what are you talking about? Like so that's why I felt like the question was shaded towards me.
SPEAKER_00Oh, we wasn't, we wasn't around. Oh, nah, we weren't aware of that.
SPEAKER_05It's just, you know, sometimes stuff happens for a reason. It wasn't aware. So I guess let's just go to Jay next to get your Jay number two. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Let's get Jay number two. You should be number one because I am the guest. I am the guest.
SPEAKER_03That is oh, I show her face.
SPEAKER_02You show her face from the Well, nah, nah, I'm lying. I block it a little bit, you know, but I don't like people in my business all the way. That's all.
SPEAKER_05But but how long before it's like, ah, enough is enough. I gotta show like this is my person.
SPEAKER_01You shouldn't feel you shouldn't feel like you have to show your person. Like say that it should it should be naturally. You should want to show your person naturally. It should be a genuine thing. You shouldn't feel like, oh yeah, let me post her today so she can feel special. Or I mean, like, sometimes that could be genuine. Like you could wake up top of the morning and be like, yo, you know, like let me post my girl today so she can feel special. Or, you know, like, oh, just like little things. Oh, she looked pretty today, so let me repost what she like, you know, it's little things like that. Just show that you're interested.
SPEAKER_05I agree with that, but it's not a force I guess it I'm guessing that's just she's not she's not one of men's words.
SPEAKER_04I'll show her all. All right, Britt, what's up? Um, I mean, y'all know I'll be posting Cory. Um AI. AI.
SPEAKER_05But how long before how long before the reveal? For a while there it was like close friends only.
SPEAKER_04It was, it was. Um that's corny. It was close friends.
unknownIt was like corny.
SPEAKER_04That's corny. My ex was Wizard Kelly. His face was never shown. I always used to put something over it.
SPEAKER_02Like he still owns me some stuff, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Anywho, um, you bred sweater.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we gotta get that back in blood, bro.
SPEAKER_05Wait, a sweater is crazy.
SPEAKER_04You gotta buy it for me though. She she seen him once and she wanted a sweater he had on, and he lied and told her that he was gonna buy it, and she never said.
SPEAKER_05I mean, but you gotta be a man of your word though. Regardless to if me and you don't work out, like he's supposed to get that sweater.
SPEAKER_01I have a question. As a female, okay, no, let me not even say that. So if you was dealing with a female and you meet their sister, and the sister asks you for something, or she sees something on you that she likes and she asks you for it, you feel like it's a mandatory given?
SPEAKER_05If if I gave my word, I'm gonna give it, then yeah.
SPEAKER_01But so what if you go through something with their old like don't matter.
SPEAKER_05One thing about me, I'm a man of my word. So if I give you my word, it's gonna happen.
SPEAKER_01So you mean to tell me you find out the next day that the girl cheated on you, slammed you?
SPEAKER_05I'ma still give her sister something. I'm gonna be mad about it, but I gave my word. So we stick to that.
SPEAKER_01You Aries, you're a fire sign, it's expected. You still want to show around, you still want them to see your face.
SPEAKER_04I don't know. But yeah. Um that just went left because I don't know what Joel was talking about. But I would not do that. And I don't think you would do that. I'm sitting there. I don't think he would either. I just feel like you gotta you're alone. Don't entertain him with it. Anywho, um, no, uh, so yeah, I did have Corey and a close friends for a little bit. Um I think for soft launch, maybe like six months. Like, yeah, after six months, you start posting, you know, if you want to. I think after six months.
SPEAKER_05Like, like six months seems like it's too long, you say? Once you get to that six-month mark, you're like, all right. It's a hard launch.
SPEAKER_01For me, that's a hard launch. Y'all older, so y'all can say that. It's nobody, I wouldn't say like I'm a target to not say like that, but it's just like certain things in the streets wise, is you a target, you become a target to certain things. And it's a lot of people that want some fun shit like me. And you know, like that's a pretty hard launch. Not to say it like that. She knows I don't mean it like that. Come on, not to say it like that. But you know, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Jordan. Oh man. I'm also a big believer on like, you know, you shouldn't be, like, you shouldn't be feeling obligated or like pressured to show off your person. But when it's when it's time or like, you know, special occasions and stuff like that. Special occasions, Jordan. Special occasions like birthdays, maybe we out for for like, you know, anniversary, something like that. Or I guess Valentine's Day, overrated holiday, but yeah, like those times you like, you know, you show a little bit more love, but I don't feel like you should be forced to show your significant other on uh social media just because like you don't need everybody in your business. Like, my relationship is my relationship because that's what it is, not because I want to show it off to people for like, oh yeah, this like, that like, this comment, like, oh yeah, she looked pretty or nothing like that. I don't need that validation. So I ain't gonna really put a timetable on it. So like instead of a soft launch, we're gonna say no launch.
SPEAKER_00No launch is crazy. Um I mean, I'm kind of with Jordan. Like, I think I only post that one of my girlfriends like ever. I don't really like that I was always like I I always like say that from like I'm not big on social media presence to be like, yo, you gotta post my significant other. Like, I don't I've I've seen dudes, I've seen I don't see dudes, I've seen both parties cheat even when they still post their significant other no matter what. So posting so posting someone don't really do nothing but you got to happen to you? Yeah, yeah, like it. I'm sorry, it's alright. Niggas is I don't want to say niggas ain't shit because you ain't fucking niggas, so I'll say ain't shit. Yeah, so like I don't I this is like I said, me personally, I don't think it's like the biggest thing to like have to post your significant other, especially like as you get older, it's just not it's not something that's it's not a makeup break. Yeah, I think it's yeah, it's not like I be I don't care if we go never post me in your life. Like I'm cool, like I had my uh one of my homegirls did this recently where she popped up engaged. I know she was dating somebody for like three years and she finally popped up engaged and it was like, oh shit. And I'm like, yeah, that's like I ain't there's nothing wrong with that. Yeah, yeah, like there's nothing, I don't think nothing wrong with that. You alright, bro?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, you're struggling a little, it's okay.
SPEAKER_00Speaking of a struggle, we're gonna switch topics and go over to what happened recently in the Joe Burton Podcast, where Fat Joe was recently on the podcast and he got some heat, especially online via social media, and so did the Joe Budden podcast, where they were ridiculing Fat Joe for saying the N-word, saying, nigga, that's apparently a thing, Britt. So I want to get your take with you first, Brittany. What are your thoughts on Fat Joe using the N-word?
SPEAKER_04I mean, I feel like he's just been saying it for so long, and I feel like everybody consider Fat Joe black.
SPEAKER_00Like I mean, he actually said to the people on the podcast, like I'm blacker than you guys. Yeah, like he's been around way longer than a lot of people.
SPEAKER_04So, I mean, I think people pick and choose, as always. Um, they pick and choose who they want to use the word, who they don't want to use the word, or whatever. And it's just like, how did this come about? Like, where did this come from? Because Fad Jo has been using the word for a minute. He says it, he raps it in his music. So it's um, I, you know.
SPEAKER_00Have you ever been in a situation where someone said it around you was like uncomfortable?
SPEAKER_04Um I feel like I've been in a situation where a yes, a black person said it around me, and I was like, that's not even you. Like you're you know, you said why? Like, cause you know that they don't really use the word and it's not them. And I feel like it was them trying to fit in into the cloud they was around at that moment.
SPEAKER_05So it came out awkward.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it came out awkward and it made it made me uncomfortable because the hard ER on the end of it.
SPEAKER_00Like they couldn't even say it right now.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, like it made me uncomfortable because it was just like you don't even gotta do all that. Like, you cool, like you don't gotta do, you don't gotta be extra. And sometimes the people that you think use that word don't even use the word, you know. So no, no.
SPEAKER_05Oh next to my guy. Um so I'm a little indifferent on this because I do feel as if I do I do feel as if like every Hispanic person isn't built the same. And when I say that, like Fat Joe, that's my boy. He Big DX. So you know it's always gonna be love there. He grew up, he grew up around the culture, stuff like that, and he he doesn't look at black people as being like, oh, there's that black person over there. He look at them as like, yo, that's my brother, that's my sister, something like that, you know? Like he's been endowed in the culture fully. So him using that word is not the same as like, you know, I get an uncomfortability with some Hispanic people that you know that don't really be around like black culture or like, you know, stuff like that. And I get uncomfortable and uh y'all know me, I'm a big speak up on it type of person. So you use that word around me, it's not just uh, oh damn, this person just used that word. It's like yo, what are you doing? You know, I'ma say something to you, like, yo, don't use that word around me. Because I'm also the type of person, like, you will never hear me say that word around any white person. I barely say it around Hispanic people unless, like I said, I understand like their background where they're from, type stuff, because they don't look at black people as his being like, oh, that's that black person, that's that you know, negro, or whatever the hell they want to call them. You know what I'm saying? So that's really my stance on it.
SPEAKER_00Um so story time, bro. My dad fought Fat Joe in middle school.
SPEAKER_05Seriously?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, they fought each other. Yeah, they fought each other. Well, it was about to fight, yeah. So the stories that like Hold on, did dad win? No, they got broken up before by my mom. The stories that Fat Joe tells us that tells are about him wearing like the same Boston Celtics uh swim uh jumpsuit with the nets uh bottoms, that's like a real thing. That was like that was like really that was really him. And he, him and my dad got into a bit like an argument with every case when Beanie got into a little tussle with my other cousin, older cousin had to like break it up. But yeah, like so I I've I've always been uh I don't want to say the name of a fat Joe because he's had like a strange career. Because at first he's one of the people, one of the rappers that got more popular the older he got, as opposed to when he first started. I think that's more of a testament to, I guess you could say his work ethic. I don't think he's one of the greatest rappers of all time, but I do think he's been one of the most consistent rappers. But I do think that he's someone who's I think kind of similar to what Brittany said, and pretty sure other people say the same things that he kind of he grew up in the project his whole life. It's like it's not like he grew up in the suburbs and came here, like he grew up in the projects amongst the poor people, like like he was he was in the trenches, he's done he's done, he's done, he's been around, he's done everything to be qualified to me to say the word. I don't think it was I don't think it was bigger than what it is.
SPEAKER_05Facts, and like he ain't come from another country just arrived here like you know less than a year ago and now using that word.
SPEAKER_00I don't really feel to worry about that, I'm doing it. I do. It really bothers you.
SPEAKER_05It does. And it's just cause like I said, it just it just turns me off because it's just like I don't use that word. Especially I don't use that word at work at all. So if I don't use that, what makes you feel like you get the right to use that? Especially like, you know what what what Shalou, you know what we do when we interact with people a lot in the streets.
SPEAKER_00I teach the kids.
SPEAKER_05You still interacting with people in the streets.
SPEAKER_04Your kids don't say the word? That was funny. But I do want to hear, Brie Brie, what's your thoughts on it?
SPEAKER_01Because you are um what's your background?
SPEAKER_05What's your background?
SPEAKER_01Okay, so I'm Dominican, I'm Puerto Rican.
SPEAKER_04I'll bless me.
SPEAKER_01I bless on you, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Matter of fact, I need you because he be thinking.
SPEAKER_05So is he Haitian and Dominican?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_04He be thinking he's Spanish. And I want him what do you mean? Like, I can't um I can't conversation with him. Have a conversation with him. I want him to respond in Spanish, please. Because he be thinking he's Spanish.
SPEAKER_05Why are you looking at me?
SPEAKER_04Just please defense right now. Please defend right now. He be thinking he's Spanish, and I just you know from um Puerto Rican and black.
SPEAKER_01Puerto Rican on what side?
SPEAKER_00I don't know. Oh, you mean like my mother or father's side? No. Oh, I thought you meant like Santa Island. What side? I thought you meant the island. You feel that you missed Santa Island? You from the uh my mom is Puerto Rican, my dad's black.
SPEAKER_01Um your mom raised you?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And my grandmother. My grandmother speaks Spanish, my mother doesn't.
SPEAKER_01Um you feel like you know Spanish based off the like the little words, or you know Spanish, like no, so I mean I'm like you fully understand it.
SPEAKER_00Listen to it. He knows Spanish. I said I I picked up on it more with with working with kids, that's how I picked up on it.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so that's different. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. But I listen to like the music and stuff more.
SPEAKER_01You gotta stop, gang.
SPEAKER_04How long are we gonna keep up this live? This phase. And I need I need moving forward, I need the guests to watch the pod. Because he definitely said what he works for on the pod.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I didn't see it.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_01So what do you actually work for? Well, no, we're gonna jump into that later.
SPEAKER_04Um controlling.
SPEAKER_01We about to No, my bad, I'm sorry. Um, back to the question though. I feel like people normalize people growing up in the projects as in they can say certain things, and oh my god, okay. Okay, okay, okay, I feel like people normalize when people grow up in the projects like they can say certain things, and that's not okay. Um they normalize too much. Um you grew up for the country off. I grew up in Bushwick. Okay. Why do you say that?
SPEAKER_05Because you you grew up like in a in a neighborhood, like you know, that we would consider acceptable for certain things.
SPEAKER_01But I don't think okay, so that's like saying if a white girl grew up in my neighborhood, she could say nigga.
SPEAKER_05No. Some people feel that way though.
SPEAKER_01I don't feel that way. I feel like people normalize too much. What do you mean, like just because you grew up in the trenches, as people say? I say the same thing.
SPEAKER_05So you don't feel like so you don't feel like you don't feel like many people should be allowed to be able to do that.
SPEAKER_01I feel like I I feel like I would have to know your background. Like if you came off the boat, your family came off the boat from Europe, but then no. Like, I don't think that it's okay for you to say it.
SPEAKER_05Like where you are.
SPEAKER_01I wouldn't say that. I wouldn't say that. I wouldn't say that. I would say how can I say it? I would say that okay. So do you watch baddies? That's the best way I can bring it out. Okay, let's go. So you see how they went on Grunchen, on Grunchen. Grunchen deserved to get beat up. Definitely, I definitely agree with that. And then now they're saying that Mariah can't say nigga.
SPEAKER_05Mariah deserves to get beat up too.
SPEAKER_01And that's basically how I like how I feel about like the whole fat Joe conversation. Because it's like I agree that he could say nigga. I'm not n against him, but I feel like they normalized him saying it because he grew up in the trenches. Or because I don't know his background. I don't know Philly, I just know that he'd been making music for a long time. And he's from the Bronx, and he's just Been rapping and saying nigga ever since. So I feel like that with Mariah. I feel like with Mariah, she can't say nigga. And I feel like with her being around, you know, she was around for Love and Hip Hop. She was around for um it was another show, but I can't put my finger on it. But um she's been saying nigga for a long time and her music and you know everywhere else, and she feels like she can say it because she grew up in the trenches and she went through the mud, as she would say, and I just feel like it's not okay. You know? And yeah, I feel like if you're not down, not down with the culture. If you're not from the culture, you shouldn't say nigga. That's just that J Long.
SPEAKER_04No, you have no comments on that. Wait, she's saying you're Carlton?
SPEAKER_02No, I'm black. So explain your feels on it. I don't have no feels, nigga.
SPEAKER_01Just nigga. Do you feel like he should say it?
SPEAKER_05A word for you to like anybody can use?
SPEAKER_01Right. So if a woke a white person, I mean, she's a cop. So you did she, so you know, like she deal with a lot of a lot of, you know? Literally.
SPEAKER_02Like a cop car.
SPEAKER_03Come on.
SPEAKER_02I'm actually a teacher.
SPEAKER_03Oh everybody teaches over the pop.
SPEAKER_04I've never seen y'all at any UFT with pre-K. I'm on a K. You look like that teaching pre-K? I'm not gonna. What do they call you, Mrs. or Mr.? Told my gotta stay.
SPEAKER_02Depends on the day. It's like you. Defense on the day is crazy.
SPEAKER_05Depends on the day is crazy.
SPEAKER_02So where are you from? Where am I from? Yeah. LeBron. What's your background?
SPEAKER_05Uh, you see, that's a little complicated.
SPEAKER_02Then I don't want to hear it actually.
SPEAKER_05Damn. Why is it complicated? I was just joking.
SPEAKER_02So why would you say so? How's it complicated? Go ahead. I was just joking.
SPEAKER_05Damn. You hurt my feelings. Nah. But my mom's my mom's side of the family, her father, her father's from Trinidad. And her mother's side is from like deep south, and then her grandfather's from Ireland.
SPEAKER_04I never knew the trending part.
SPEAKER_05I've said it on this pod at least three times. But thank you. When it comes to, I did, look, y'all need to go back and watch your own damn show. And then from my father's side, it's like a lot of deep south stuff.
SPEAKER_04Wait, why you asked where he's from now?
SPEAKER_00The whole 23andMe just now. I don't know why that was like necessary.
SPEAKER_02Wait, you said she wanted a breakdown. I wanted a breakdown to see if he should say the word nigga. No, I just wanted a breakdown. Because he said his breakdown. I ain't had his breakdown.
SPEAKER_00But you saw a simple mind as well as like my dad is black, my mom was not simple. Yeah, you gotta like.
SPEAKER_05So where else are they from? If you knew you would have said it.
SPEAKER_00I do know, but I just don't.
SPEAKER_05So it's more than just Puerto Rico?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05So why you ain't say it?
SPEAKER_00Because it's not that deep.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you went deep.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, like yeah, only the whole 23 million.
SPEAKER_01When people are from the south, when people are from the south, that's what people do. Like they, okay, yeah, I'm from the south, and this then the third. Um, I'm from the north. This you like, that's what people do. It's like a it's no background. They gotta say what part. Yeah, they gotta say that part. That is the background for them.
SPEAKER_05Like, and I'm not saying like as a, oh yeah, I'm one percent percent Cherokee because of great, great, great. No, no, yeah, no, we're just from the south. Like, it's not that and I went to like just the great grandparents. I ain't go that deep.
SPEAKER_04Jay, get us back on track. Let me give you a disclaimer about Brista. Okay, she um, you know, she's not right in the head, so she be she on the spectrum. Yeah, no, I she should be in your classroom.
SPEAKER_05All the things in this classroom are felons.
SPEAKER_03So that is so good. They don't like his class. They ain't going. He's the real enforcer.
SPEAKER_00So speaking of making trips, you're gonna trip in New York City as it was Fashion Week, Brittany. Uh, Castanot made an appearance and he showed off his uh his fashion line. Jordan, what's the name of this fashion line, bro?
SPEAKER_05Vivid?
SPEAKER_00I don't want to get that. Is that how you pronounce it? I don't want to get them wrong.
SPEAKER_05I was trying to I believe that's how you pronounce it.
SPEAKER_04It's unique, yeah.
SPEAKER_00All right what did you think of the clothes, Britt?
SPEAKER_04I ain't gonna find it. When we talked about it before, them jeans that he launched the first time, it wasn't it. That hard launch. The hard launcher. Wasn't it?
SPEAKER_05This soft flash?
SPEAKER_04You like it? Yeah, I like it.
SPEAKER_05But I think this would be more like the hard launch because it's like this would be the fashion week the room.
SPEAKER_04Okay, okay. So this this uh vivid is what it's called. I believe so. I liked it. I seen some things that I actually like, but those jeans before, I was like, Whoa, what is he doing? And I see that uh his ex, Gigi, was actually modeling or showing showing off some things. So yeah, I I like it. It's it's it's nice. You think she was forced?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, like yo, I'm gonna tell some information if you don't press me.
SPEAKER_00In his clothes? Yeah, no, no way.
SPEAKER_04No, I don't think she walked. I think she just took it. Oh, she just took the phone. Oh, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, kind of crazy.
SPEAKER_04You think it's crazy? Kind of crazy.
SPEAKER_01He was blowing kisses at her. That's why I blew kisses.
SPEAKER_04Really?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04It's nice. I mean, that those pictures are crazy.
SPEAKER_01But make him look gay.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. That middle picture is the crazy way. Not too much of a car, not too much of a car. Nah, I love Cassinette, but that that middle picture looked crazy. You do look crazy.
SPEAKER_01That's crazy.
SPEAKER_05Why didn't you it look like Jesus? Yeah, I gotta stop. You're right, not too much of a car. Nah, but you know, I I fucked with with the clothes this time. You know what I'm saying? Like, not everything was was fire, but he had like a couple things. Yeah, you know what I like when it all boils down to it, he still look out for his people. You look at the people in the runway. You had Duke Dennis, you had Ray, like, you know, you had a couple people that was on his like stream of you. Like, I fuck with that. I just fuck with it, you know? Because you at first we was like, yo, this look like I keep looking at me just trying to. It seemed like that was the main one making the joke. What's the main one saying, like, yo, when it was mental health, you understand when you just do what's saying that?
SPEAKER_04When you're going through a breakout, I understand. Like, you know, you gotta. Put y'all to catch y'all up. Uh Jay was saying that the genes or the first soft launch, the soft launch that he did was because of his breakup with GG. So, cause I was saying it, you know, them jeans was like crazy, blah, blah, blah. So he was saying it's mental health reasons.
SPEAKER_00So to put it in hindsight, it wasn't just the genes. It was, it seemed staged because he's all that he started walking around with a book that he was never doing before. Like he was like it's an inspiration. Like it just seemed like it seemed staged. It didn't seem genuine. It seemed like it was like, you know.
SPEAKER_01But I mean Destiny swapping is real.
SPEAKER_00That could be true too, but I do think that this is a good. I think it's good, it's a positive sign. Like, I do think it's hard enough to be creative enough as it is, but to actually go through with the vision and have yourself on the one way must be a great feeling. I do think that's true. And I do think some of the stuff was alright. Like, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be.
SPEAKER_05Because you said something about destiny swapping. Is that the Haitian side of you?
SPEAKER_00Is that a Haitian thing?
SPEAKER_01I mean, like, it's a Spanish thing too. It's an anybody thing. Yeah, I feel like that's like yeah, people say that in general.
SPEAKER_00I also was confused.
SPEAKER_01It's a deep thing. It's a really in the industry goes to the body.
SPEAKER_05Not all cultures believe in that. That's why you know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I see why you guys that yeah, definitely. What are your thoughts on the I feel like I mean, I never really like this is my first time actually really seeing it. The only thing I the only clip I've seen was when he was blowing Gigi a kiss. I definitely don't like it. Like, I don't like the side of Kai. I don't I don't feel like it's him. I don't feel like that's why I said Destiny swapping is real. When I'm a very spiritual person, and when I feel like something doesn't align with somebody, I'ma say it. And I feel like this doesn't align with him. Like this is not a part of him.
SPEAKER_05Like the energy's off.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, the energy's off. I don't I stopped watching him and all of that.
SPEAKER_04Like I don't You didn't watch the last uh stream as you know.
SPEAKER_01He still be gone, he be streaming sometime from time to time, and I still like I don't watch it from then on. Like ever since he stopped streaming, I took it as that, and you cut your dreads and you did this, and it's a lot you when people say a lot of certain things, believe them. Like, like if I was to sit here today, right, and I'd be like, if I ever was to cut my hair and do finger waves, y'all know that's not me. Clip this right now and watch me cut my hair and do finger waves, and y'all not gonna look at me crazy. Y'all gonna be like, you okay?
SPEAKER_05Like, is everything like I do have another question? Wait, so you watch Twitch a lot?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I used to.
SPEAKER_05The reason why I asked that is because this is the breed. I was like, Oh, y'all need to get on twist, y'all need to get on twist. Yo, chat.
SPEAKER_04Look, she's here. She's here, chat. Brister, you have a comment? Yo, you're really slow right now. Wait, watch Twitch. But we talk about the clothing.
SPEAKER_02I don't watch that either. No, we don't know what y'all talking about. You know who Cassinette is, though.
SPEAKER_05So, what you think about uh Kai starting his own clothing line? Did you sniff the mic?
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. No, I'm not sure.
SPEAKER_04My bad. Told you she belonged in your class. You don't listen to me.
SPEAKER_01She got an IP, so she needs to be a couple of things. I don't got an IEP.
SPEAKER_03I don't think she would hit his the people in his class that sit next to her. I'm being scared of them.
SPEAKER_01They might bite you.
SPEAKER_03They're gonna do more than bite, girl.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't I don't know. I don't know nothing about that. Nope. What do you watch?
SPEAKER_05Yo, some people would some people would consider you a YN. Like, what's up? You why? Because you're a YN.
SPEAKER_02Not anymore, but a YN. I didn't watch TV.
SPEAKER_05Not like the not like you give the energy of that, but like age-wise, people would consider you a Y-N.
SPEAKER_04Do you mind saying your age for the people in the world?
SPEAKER_02I am can't do it.
SPEAKER_01You're 22. Girl, what I like.
SPEAKER_02They can't hear you. Microphone are not your own. She's she's 22, guys. And then you're just, you're not my sister.
SPEAKER_04I am. Okay. Alright, Brista. Thank you. You're welcome. Okay. Jay, let's move on with the show.
SPEAKER_00So sibling animosity is a tip real thing. So switching topics real quick. Oh, um, do you think that Mentor actually is joining? How successful do you think his fashion line is gonna be? Well, that's a good question. No, that's not.
SPEAKER_05What fashion line do you got? I thought you said like your. It sounded like you said your. Do you have a fashion line? We putting it in the area, it's coming.
SPEAKER_01All right, then I feel like the only reason why his fashion line might get a little hard launch would be because the hard launch.
SPEAKER_04Well, like you mean successful?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you know what I mean. Like, you know, like at least make it somewhere is because he's you know, he's successful already, and a lot of people know him, and a lot of people support him already. So I mean he chose a good time to actually want to do it because he's up up right now.
SPEAKER_05He's already up, like he's already famous.
SPEAKER_01So it's uh it's already like it's people from Asia who know him, like as you can see, Ray. Like, you know, it's a lot of people who already know him, and they a lot of people are very gullible, and they do anything to get seen. So when like I said, everybody knows he's a very big-hearted person. And imagine you walking down the street, he sees one with his jeans on, he's gonna stop you. Like, he's gonna stop you, he's gonna stop. He's gonna go all the way in for you. Like, so it's already that. Like, you know, that's a good answer, bro.
SPEAKER_05What's the craziest thing about that too? There's I don't know if y'all know that scammer who was in jail, and then like I guess he like now now he's out, he scammed people for like millions of dollars. Well, he has like, he has like merch out, right? He he got on Instagram and he was mad at his friend because he's like, yo, this dude asked me all the time for a discount to buy my merch and stuff like that. Yeah, I just found out he spent $2,500 regular price on Kai stuff. And then he was just mad flipping off on that, and then he's like, you know what? I'm gonna give away a truck now because I'm gonna give it to my real customers. I feel like that's just cornball energy.
SPEAKER_00But I do feel like like there's like there are times where there's certain clothing lines that are like popping, and you still think it's corn. I don't like I don't wear it. Like I don't I don't think just because it's successful, because it makes money, I don't think that makes it a good clothing line. I think there's like two separate things. Like there's like clothing brands I can't think of the top of my head right now, but I bet yo that shit was trash. I don't know how people wore that. And it was still successful. But I think he's in a different category, like uh, like we said, because he's already had such success that I do think he's kind of trying to branch out, which again, only time which uh this is a fail, a fi a how do you say that? A f a phase? A phase. A phase. A phase.
SPEAKER_04And then it's like his moment.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you know, because I think no matter what, I think we said this before on the podcast, like 10 or 15 years from now, he's still gonna be known as the one of the best streamers of all time. So there's nothing you could do to break out from that umbrella to say, oh, he has that title. Yeah, he's already has that title, it's already cemented, you know, which is a good for him because he's this that's what made him, you know, popping. So, but this is I do think for him, it's just this is still a stepping stone and a milestone in itself to get it done.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, and you could tell, like, he's he's doing more than just the fashion. He's trying to become an adult. No, no, exactly. That's a good thing. That's a good point. It's like he is trying to branch out, like, you know, yeah, expand my horizon because you never know what else could be the next big hit for me.
SPEAKER_00He's trying to break the stigma of just being his true because you can't be a streamer forever. I mean, maybe you can, but like, yeah, your audience will be.
SPEAKER_05You know, yeah, it happens. Look at Jimmy Foxx, you know, from comedian to successful actor. I think Jimmy Fox will almost have to speak to the city. Singer, like, you know, I'm just saying, like, branch out to, you know, break f break free in other areas.
SPEAKER_00Speaking of breaking free in big areas, Jordan. Complex dropped a list of the most hot, the hottest rappers out right now.
SPEAKER_05Damn, did they?
SPEAKER_00They did.
SPEAKER_05He's hype. Damn. Who's number one?
SPEAKER_00Some can I finish with my second? Oh, for God. I agree. Who do you listen to?
SPEAKER_05I thought because you said Jordan, you know?
SPEAKER_01Um that's actually my happy music right now.
SPEAKER_05All right, Brista, who you listen to? I love that.
SPEAKER_04Brista. Who you listen to?
SPEAKER_05She's like, let's go to the proof. Who you listen to, Brista?
SPEAKER_04Y'all calling her Brista is so cute.
SPEAKER_00You're getting a call right now. Who's the first who's the first artist you play?
SPEAKER_05J-Do.
SPEAKER_04J- Do. So you answered to that and I'm Brista? That was crazy.
SPEAKER_02I listen to A Boogie. I don't care about no more. I listen to A Boogie and stuff. She does listen to A Boogie.
SPEAKER_04She would black.
SPEAKER_00A boogie was not at the top of the top, top, top 10 of the list.
SPEAKER_04I'm not saying another one with it.
SPEAKER_05I'm just saying. It's like top of my muscle that can attack me like this. I like that energy. That's the energy we need. We we don't need like, nah, I ain't got nothing to say. We need that. Bring that out.
unknownHe sounds like Lemony.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like, yeah, I ain't knowing. He's letting me get crazy. He's lemming his case.
SPEAKER_00Is that a baddie joke?
SPEAKER_05I'm a very yeah. You know, you know how Britt called you like let me.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's how I call the old Natalie. Natalie's not called over.
SPEAKER_04Oh him, let me or Natalie. Yeah. With Scotty and Voli. See, he gives you Natalie, right? Natalie. And with Scotty and Voli. Yeah. I'm Scotty. I got the fatty.
SPEAKER_01I'm a very I'm a very, I'll say like 2000s. So like I listen to a lot of T.I. I listen to my favorite top 10 right now, top one, is Dirk. But everything else after that is like not 2000s. Like TI. So you're a free Dirk person? Yes, free Dirk. Free Dirk.
unknownHe's free.
SPEAKER_04Who you were talking about before we started. He's not free. He's not free.
SPEAKER_00A couple more cases to beat yeah.
SPEAKER_04You were talking about before we started filming. Who album you listened to? You said that's oh Rod Wave.
SPEAKER_06Thank you.
SPEAKER_00I love that fat. I had to set you up. He was looking for it. He was looking for that. She'll also be in my class. That was crazy. That little fat motherfucker. Everybody. Fucking black people. So I'm just gonna go through the top 10 real quick. Uh let me know how you feel. You know how Jordan feels.
SPEAKER_04Wait, who was number one? I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Don't be a hater. I'm not a hater. Who was number one?
SPEAKER_04I'm only saying it like that because you you Nah nah.
SPEAKER_00I don't hate Drake. He just thinks people hate. But Drake was number one. Number two was surprised. No, no, don't try to skip over it like that. Okay, number two was Iceman was number one. Drake himself. Number two did surprise me, Don Tolliver. I mean, he did have the highest album of the year, arguably, but I surprised me number two.
SPEAKER_05He's finally on the wave.
SPEAKER_00I think we put it. Wild Rave number three, of course. Uh Jay-Z at four, which is kind of surprising because he hasn't even dropped the album yet.
SPEAKER_01Because he had that concert. I don't like that.
SPEAKER_00The concert was amazing.
SPEAKER_01Wait, what did you say, Brie Brie? You don't like him? I don't like him. Oh, okay. I don't like this.
SPEAKER_04I'm glad another female from Brooklyn.
SPEAKER_00Can I get through the list?
SPEAKER_01He got a lot of good banking. Can I get through the list? I'm not gonna lie, but Playboy Cardiff.
SPEAKER_00Playboy Cardi was number five. Six was NBA Youngboy. Seven was who the fuck is this?
SPEAKER_05Who the fuck is Ken Carson's coming up? Is it a rapper? Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Oh, you know that is?
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_00Ken Carson?
SPEAKER_05He's been he's been popular for like the past three, four years. Like he's really starting to break through now.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Uh then you got Travis Scott, Kanye Avery number nine, and number ten, you got J. Cole rapping it up. Um, I'm not gonna go through the rest of the list. But are you thinking about the top 10?
SPEAKER_01Why after J. Cole is Kendrick Lamar?
SPEAKER_05Because you gotta really, you gotta really be doing things to be hot. I mean, I don't know what Ken Carson did, but what is that supposed to mean? You gotta make music to be a hot rapper at this time. Like, if you're not making no music, how can we say you're the hottest?
SPEAKER_06Okay, true.
SPEAKER_00Do you put Stock Britney in these lists?
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_00Why not?
SPEAKER_04You asking me, Jay.
SPEAKER_00I mean, you can't have the same similar answer that.
SPEAKER_04No, but you I'm saying, I'm saying that. No, I'm not musically inclined like you are.
SPEAKER_05So, I mean So this list means absolutely nothing to you? No. So who are you listening to right now? Masy Alanda Adams. I'm not freaking out. Um, what was I listening to on my way here?
SPEAKER_01No for real. So say what I listen to. Whatever pop up on her TV first. She listened to Pandora. Once you have Pandora still, you know you're gonna be able to do that. I'm about to say they're real people.
SPEAKER_00I even know Pandora even still existed, Loki.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_05You know some rich people still got Pandora? Like LeBron?
SPEAKER_00Wait, hold on, hold on, hold on.
SPEAKER_05Exactly.
SPEAKER_00Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. You actually listen to Pandora?
SPEAKER_04I do.
SPEAKER_00That's actually crazy.
SPEAKER_04When I'm cleaning, I put on Pandora. That's actually wild, bro. Why is that wow?
SPEAKER_01It's a sharp pull.
SPEAKER_00That's actually crazy.
SPEAKER_01What you say, baby? So Ginger probably listening to Pandora in the house right now.
SPEAKER_04I did not leave the Pandora or the Pandora, yo, bro. The Pandora. Yo, wait, hold on.
SPEAKER_00So what does Corey listen to in the crib?
SPEAKER_04In the crib? Rod Wave.
SPEAKER_00Um I love that fat motherfucker.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, we love the um Corey actually was one of those people who said he ain't really fuck with this album.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, he was.
SPEAKER_01I feel like it's very different.
SPEAKER_04He said he had to listen to it again.
SPEAKER_00He wasn't feeling it's very different from see Jordan did that to try and get my answer because he hasn't got my he hasn't gotten it.
SPEAKER_04He was trying to gauge.
SPEAKER_00He was gonna rage bait me. Because I haven't told him about the other albums. He was rage baiting. Gotcha. He was rage baiting. Because we have a second.
SPEAKER_05They always think that it's like an ulterior motive.
SPEAKER_00Um real quick, uh out of the last five albums he dropped, this is by far number five for me. Um, I'm not gonna say I didn't like it. I'm not gonna say I hated it. It wasn't what I expected it to be. I still listen to it like a few songs every day, but it's not.
SPEAKER_04Do you have a favorite?
SPEAKER_00Uh TP is definitely probably my favorite. TP is five.
SPEAKER_04I asked you like I knew the song that's a little bit of a sort of thing.
SPEAKER_00I thought it was a person. You like B, do you like TP?
SPEAKER_01No, I don't like none of the songs on his album.
SPEAKER_00Oh, nah, nah, I ain't gonna say he's old.
SPEAKER_01Like right now, like it's not not it's not a favorite. It's not something I'll be like, okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_00It's not a motivation for you.
SPEAKER_01I gotta listen and I gotta listen to it again and again and again for me to okay, yeah, this one's my favorite.
SPEAKER_05Right. So was you surprised that this one didn't go number one? Because you know, typically Rod Wave drops and he's like number one in the board.
SPEAKER_04He didn't go number one.
SPEAKER_01I'm not surprised. I mean, like all the concerts that have been cancelled, you end up losing fans after that. Like, you know, a lot of drama with him and his baby mother and a girlfriend, I believe so. It's it's it's just too much drama, and then on top of that, you're canceling your concerts, and then it's just too much. You make me not wanna, like, okay, should I even engage?
SPEAKER_05So you don't think he was locked in for this one?
SPEAKER_00Um, I mean, I I I disagree. I think he was locked in. I just think he just tried to go to a totally different sound. I think he just went completely against what he's usually done. But I think he also was listening to the critics too much. I think he definitely tried to prove that he doesn't make sad music all the time, which I don't think he does. But I think he tried to-yeah, I think he tried to go way too commercial. He tried to go way too commercial, I feel like, on his album. And he also didn't have the type of uh usually what makes him so popular amongst I think his fan base is the samples that he would use. You look at some songs like Street Runner, like some of the songs that he would have, where you have some of these samples that people always remember it by he didn't really have that on his album either. So I just think there was this and he also went through a lot, like losing his uncle to uh suicide, I think definitely played a part on I think his creative process, which I think kind of made him want to shift to a whole different sound, also. So I just think it was a comment. And you can't nigga, you can't go ten for ten.
SPEAKER_01It should have definitely been sadder.
SPEAKER_00I thought this album was, but it's like the end of the day, I'm not gonna.
SPEAKER_01Aiko, aika, uh whatever. Um, she dropped her album. You skipped ahead.
SPEAKER_05We're gonna get there. We're gonna get there.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I feel like it was different too.
SPEAKER_05But can I say one? Last thing about Rod though before we move on, one thing I can't say is I feel like this probably was needed, and the only reason why I say that is because he has so much commercial success from out the gate that eventually Yeah, he was due for one. Not even that you was due for one, but usually when you were top artist, you got that one album where people's like, uh you know, I don't know if this fixed one, and then you bounce back with the next one being like banger. Get back to your glutes. You know, I I agree. I feel like he needed it just because like everybody was expecting, like, yo, he's gonna go number one, he's gonna be top of this, he's gonna do this, he's gonna do that. So the fact that it hit him, it's gonna be one there.
SPEAKER_00I agree. Ray mentioned it, but also Janae Aiko dropped this week. Rick, did you get a chance to listen to it?
SPEAKER_04I did not. Was it a Lover Girls album? It was. It was. Didn't she break up with Big Sean?
SPEAKER_01I'll say it wasn't really too much of a Lover Girl album.
SPEAKER_00See, yeah, I say Love a girl.
SPEAKER_01Like it's something just left her nigga. Yeah, didn't he just break up? She focused on herself. Thank you.
SPEAKER_00Jay? I mean, I yeah, I say love a girl. To be love a girl just means you in your feelings. That's what love a girl can do.
SPEAKER_01That's your problem now.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, like she's in her feelings.
SPEAKER_01But this is But that's not a Love a girl.
SPEAKER_04I mean like on some love girls like and my Lotto album, like how a lot of album was like, Oh, it wasn't like that.
SPEAKER_00It wasn't like that. No, no, it wasn't like that. But I mean, me personally, I think this, I think this is one of her best projects to me. And I was never a big Genetico fan, but I do think some songs she was singing on here to me are very the metaphors in some of these songs are actually like crazy.
SPEAKER_05I'm I'm a fan, but I'm listened. Oh yeah, I'm gonna be honest with you. Uh I spun it like three times and that's not enough. I'm just saying, I could not get like I could not get jiggy with this shit because You know like he belongs to? No, no, like some of the songs on there were were good, but what I'm saying is the whole album to me, I feel like she was missing something. And then I went back to listen to like the old albums, and there was one consistent thing for each Sean, and it was like Big Sean, but it wasn't, but it wasn't even like yo, Big Sean's in my life. We doing this. It's like Big Sean did some shit to hurt me.
SPEAKER_01And I was just like this one, her music give my man, it gives me it gives Let me smoke and and hit you over with a car, and then it gives, I'ma focus on myself. It gives, it gives a lot.
SPEAKER_05And it's like some people need But that comes with being spiritual. She's very spiritual. Yeah, and some people need like the energy of like I really had this hard breakup to make good music, you know, like the Summer Walkers, the Sisses were all her problems. I mean, I'm not too much of a Summer Walker fan. No, but I'm just saying, but she makes good music when it's that time. But for Janae, I just feel like she probably needs a man in her life that's toxic in order to make it. I mean, that's Big Sean. He's not there no more. Larry June is there, so now she's like in this human space.
SPEAKER_01Who's that? Soft girl ever. She's in her soft girl ever, definitely.
SPEAKER_05He's a rapper from LA. He actually was really good friends with Big Sean.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. That's why.
SPEAKER_05That's his girl, so yeah, that's kind of crazy.
SPEAKER_01I wonder what Big Sean did to make her do that.
SPEAKER_00Uh, I don't think does he really have to do action? She's a she's a she's an adult. She makes her own decisions.
SPEAKER_01No, I feel like I feel like, well, I can't speak for her, but I feel like a certain triggers a girl goes through to make her want to do certain things.
SPEAKER_05I mean, but how she got with Big Sean's crazy. She cheated on her husband, so exactly. Who was her husband? I don't know that. You get me. Huh?
SPEAKER_04Who was her husband?
SPEAKER_05Um, some I think he was like some producer or something like that. I can't remember.
SPEAKER_04I didn't even know she was married.
SPEAKER_05I don't know. Like her baby, her baby father.
SPEAKER_04I know Omarion's brother.
SPEAKER_05Well, her baby father. She had a husband too, in between that. After that.
SPEAKER_00After Omar's brother, she was married. I don't know the guy's name. Oh. But then that was a big thing that she was cheating on her husband to get with Big Sean. Then they were together for over a decade, but never it never amounted to a ring.
SPEAKER_05And that's why it's like this whole thing like Big Sean never was gonna wife you because you cheated on the Oh, like Karma, how you meet him is how you I mean how they're not always true. It's not always true, but Big Sean is also one of those people that runs off of like energy.
SPEAKER_00So I mean they both do.
SPEAKER_05So exactly. So that's why you know, spiritually, that's how that's how he could feel, even if he didn't voice that to anybody.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I think how you get him is how you lose him. How you get me is how you lose me.
SPEAKER_00I think it's different when you look at two babies together for such a long term. Like, you're not meant to marry everybody that you're with. I think that's something that people just don't accept at times.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, not everybody even believing.
SPEAKER_00Everybody you get where you don't marry.
SPEAKER_04They make and eye contact and doing all this extra stuff. That's why I'm talking about. Yeah, inside jokes. But speaking of crazy, because that was crazy. I heard you losing in fantasy football, bro.
SPEAKER_05Bro, it's been one week. I heard you losing fantasy football. Oh, the first time. That's a great segue, Brett. First outfits this week. I don't know how.
SPEAKER_00Oh, great segue, Brett.
SPEAKER_05Thank you.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's right. You got uh app and I think you played for money or some shit.
SPEAKER_04Oh, yeah, I was trying to figure out what fantasy football was. Like imaginary friend or something.
SPEAKER_02My cousin played that shit though. Is it a game?
SPEAKER_05Basically. It's like playing magic.
SPEAKER_04Why is it gotta be old if you don't know about it? Um, she's a Y N.
SPEAKER_00Everybody plays fantasy football. Our 13-year-old cousin plays fantasy football.
SPEAKER_04Pretty sure our father play fantasy football.
SPEAKER_01Have you met uh have you seen your father's name?
SPEAKER_02Have you seen it? He don't even know. I'm pretty sure he don't.
SPEAKER_04He dipped that. Call him right now. Ask him.
SPEAKER_02Really?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, see if he even answered. Call him.
SPEAKER_05Put the mic to the phone. We 50% right now. No. 66% right now. Call the people on the podcast.
SPEAKER_04Put the mic to the phone, Baberie.
SPEAKER_01You gotta let him know that he's on the podcast.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, let him know he's on the podcast.
SPEAKER_05Actually, don't get the natural reaction.
SPEAKER_02Hello? Question. You play fantasy football? Say a lot of fun.
SPEAKER_04No, okay.
SPEAKER_02Do you know what it is? You're not interested in it, right?
SPEAKER_06I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Okay, there you go. I'm just I'm just trying try I'm trying to tell Britney, Britney dumb about it. She don't understand. I know it's funny. Ah, he said what up. Hi. Okay. Alright, that's all I had to ask. Alright, fool.
SPEAKER_05He gave the damn. You call me with this bullshit.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, at this hour. But so I'll get into all real quick, Jordan. Uh, week one NFL football is back. What are your expectations so far going into the season? Before the ladies checkout. Let's make it real quick.
SPEAKER_05What's my expectations? Uh, I'm happy to see Patrick Mahomes back. I feel like all the quarterbacks that was hurt last year, they all coming back with a vengeance. Patty, Jaden Daniels.
SPEAKER_00Except Michael Penix.
SPEAKER_05No, he he might be coming back this week. I picked him up in fantasy. He's not playing. He might not play this week, but he might be back next week. And I'm interested to see what he could do. He got weapons. You done? Huh? You done? I mean, shout out them Giants too. You already know. Green Energy. Let's go. Going for the Giants. We hear the clappers.
SPEAKER_00I give you the clappers. Good work for being the cowboys. Great week one. Great to have football back. As we know in the group chat. I was real hot gave in this week. Brittany made a shit ton of money this week. It's a really good one. Yeah. It's a very good one for me. I love when football's back. I love when I can make money.
SPEAKER_04Can you make enough money to get your baddie's chain? Your baddie's chained. Maybe. And clearly we need a studio because I still got these gels left.
SPEAKER_00Maybe within the next couple weeks. Yeah. Real good season expectations. Who do you got for Super Bowl, real quick?
SPEAKER_05Me?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05And it's too early to tell. But um I guess I'll go with my preseason pick. Is either gonna be Chiefs or Rams?
SPEAKER_00Chiefs or Rams?
SPEAKER_04The Rams. I'm going with the Rams.
SPEAKER_00That's okay. You're in the chat. They're favorites. Their favorites. That's a good one. Just because of Corey.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it is. But still.
SPEAKER_00Oh, Corey's the Rams? No, no, this wasn't the Five. Oh, I know the Corey's a Rams. That's what's up.
SPEAKER_04Because you said the Rams yourself.
SPEAKER_00Um matter. You know, you know what play on the Rams, Britt?
SPEAKER_04Who plays on the Rams?
SPEAKER_00No. Not one single person. Not one single person.
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_00Shout out to Puka's my fancy team. Um, I'm gonna go with uh I'm gonna go with Chicago. I'm gonna go with the Bears versus the Ravens in the Super Bowl. Bears Ravens? That's my Super Bowl pick. Yeah, that's my Super Pick. That's my hot take. That's my Super Bowl pick. Looking forward to it.
SPEAKER_04Brista, you watch football?
SPEAKER_01We more like basketball.
SPEAKER_00You got we six more weeks before the next start.
SPEAKER_04So this is the sassy part of it. You rapping LeBron over there?
SPEAKER_05No, I just hate us. Well, whatever she. Oh, oh. That's a real that's a that's a real spouse.
SPEAKER_00Whatever she watched you watch. That's a real spouse.
SPEAKER_05You gotta get the mic more. Hey, what's that? I need that LeBron energy, you know?
SPEAKER_04Best of the season's over. Yes. She was a Knicks fan.
SPEAKER_02I was a Knicks fan because they won it. They won it, they won it. LeBron not, he not, he's not what he's supposed to be, so why I'm not gonna read it.
SPEAKER_00He's old, bro.
SPEAKER_02That don't mean nothing.
SPEAKER_05Thank you.
SPEAKER_00That's that's big energy, you know.
SPEAKER_02That don't mean nothing. That's understandable. He's 40 still in there. That's so.
SPEAKER_00Jee sh. Anyway. I think this is what you had on here. Oh, maybe this was Jordan in the yo, that's crazy segment. What's the first thing you notice?
SPEAKER_04Oh, when you see a when you look at a first.
SPEAKER_00So that was Brittany, right?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, because I wanted to know y'all picked. Because my answer, everybody like clown me from my party. Oh, so give your answer first, then. Okay, so you see how we talk about football? Even since I was in high school, I always used to say he gotta have that football neck.
SPEAKER_05Hey yo.
SPEAKER_04I know what you mean.
SPEAKER_03I know what you mean. Everybody knows what you mean. I know what you mean, but wait, wait, wait, wait. Hey, no, Corey, that's crazy.
SPEAKER_00Corey has a football neck?
SPEAKER_04Hey yo, that's not crazy. But Corey did play football and he does have that football neck. Yeah, he looked like it. Yeah. Yeah, like that steroid neck. Like it's suddenly. You seen ivory neck? You see, like that.
SPEAKER_05Everybody looked like Brock Lesnar. Yeah, I know.
SPEAKER_04That strong neck. I don't remember if he had that now, though. And then why are you touching your neck? You don't got it, baby. That's okay. You don't got it. It's okay. Oh, sorry. You didn't like that one. Okay, my fault. Um, and it's the football neck and dimples. Like. So what's the question though? Oh, I'm sorry. Yeah, you just go back. What's the first thing you look at when you see a person and you find it that makes you find them attractive?
SPEAKER_00Uh so for y'all, um Jay, answer. Oh, I think for I think for guys, it's like it fluctuates on the obviously on the parents. But if it's not like a sexual feature, uh for me, I'll definitely say dimples. Dimples, okay. I think dimples is a big one.
SPEAKER_04Real dimples, because you know people out here buying them.
SPEAKER_00Nah, that I didn't know. I didn't know that too. You could buy dimples. Nah, I didn't know that. Dimples and nice teeth. Okay.
SPEAKER_05Um, for me, it's just like the first thing that's gonna attract me to you is if you got a pretty face. But I'm not gonna lie, I could disclaimer, I'm not saying I do this all the time, but I can I have like a radar. If a girl has a nice body, it's just like I can see like my head could be turned, and I just know you are there. You'd be breaking necks. No, no, it's not even it's not even really like a breaking neck thing. It's just like okay, I can observe this, and it's just like, yo, that's crazy. I can even spot a DR special.
SPEAKER_04A DR special is crazy. Wow. Um Brie Bree. For uh when you was single, what would you look at, like what attracts you to a female?
SPEAKER_01Um I feel like facial features, like you see, like she she's cute in face, like is she? Nah, what right? You need to stop.
SPEAKER_05Um that is a nice lady, okay?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, every time we argue, I'd just be like your mother.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, do you want to be? I don't want you to think about it.
SPEAKER_04She wants to do this. She watched all the pies. She's gonna get on y'all.
SPEAKER_01Jayla say it back to me. She's still but it's okay. Um back to the question. Um, I really go based on facial features. Like, I you gotta look good next to me. I really believe in that. So y'all gotta be uh like catch my flying. I don't believe in, oh, one person gotta be ugly. Like I believe in like we both gotta be cute, you know. Um at least cute, right? But um I'll definitely go for like the build. And I don't know, like it's it's just certain things. Like I could see some I like when I think you're attractive, at least a little bit, I can see your aura. Like I'm invested to see your aura in some in some type of way. So it's like your aura gotta be attracted to mine too. Like you gotta I feel like I gotta feel like you gotta align with me, or I can make you align with me. It's just you know, it's just that, yeah. The energy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the energy then I went for eyes, I went for lips. I went for the face. And then Why you why you leaning on her like that?
SPEAKER_04Energy, she gonna smack you?
SPEAKER_02No, I'm not like you fucking laugh.
SPEAKER_04You would smack her. We don't promote us up here. No D V. But I just know them and she's protecting herself right now. Just wanted to say that right.
SPEAKER_05We don't put we don't put No, no, no, that's no be quiet. And let J Do. Yeah, let J Dough. And you do.
SPEAKER_02No, she don't.
SPEAKER_05J Do you continue. Or two. What are you calling her? J-Do.
SPEAKER_02Uh over my head. Well, see, trying to figure out what the hell he was. Yeah, yeah, because yeah, yeah. Like Zelda. You know I'm a little slow in the head.
SPEAKER_04Um a little. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, facial freaking shit and shit like that. And then go to energy and then body, how you built, yeah. So yeah, basically said the same thing. Yeah, that's why we're together now, right? Amen. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah, done.
SPEAKER_05You went to it?
SPEAKER_04I went. I was like, what's gonna say, yeah. Well, the second one. I mean, yeah, it was your question. Oh, excuse me, sorry. But moving on.
SPEAKER_05Am I taking over? You know what's one thing that would turn me off though? Right. Like if I found you attractive. If I found you attractive and then we had a conversation and you sound dumb, instantly you ugly. For like instantly ugly. When you open your mouth and your teeth look bad, mmm, I was like, it's crazy. Like we like you could be bad as shit, but now you done went to a zero.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I done met the prettiest, I was gonna say bitches, but prettiest females before. I used I used to go with Fems, and I'm not gonna lie.
SPEAKER_00I explain the terminology.
unknownWhat?
SPEAKER_01Okay, some people don't know. I don't want to say dice. Let's save that. Let's save that. Yeah, I think you should say that part. Say that part.
SPEAKER_05You can use the verbiage and then we'll explain.
SPEAKER_01Okay, yeah. So I used to go with females more feminine energy than masculine energy, females, and um their energy, it will give like they will try to steal my personality or go based off what I was saying. Like, you know, I believe in going with the flow, but when you want to grasp everything I'm saying and you know, take it and run with it, it turns me off.
SPEAKER_05Like, or so you need somebody to go back and forth with you a little bit, something?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like I need a I need a little oh, you know?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, like shut your ass up, nah.
SPEAKER_01Nah, not just because I'm gonna slap the shit out of you, but it's not that, you know.
SPEAKER_00Did you just send up the vest of violence what she's doing? I'm trying to tell y'all. Y'all don't be believing me. She should say it is.
unknownI'm okay.
SPEAKER_00She likes blue quiet. Um, speaking of things you shouldn't do, so I I had this, I was talking about this at work the other day, and it was talking about like as an adult, there's some things like as adults you should not be doing, like as a like at a certain age, certain things that you shouldn't be doing. So when I was having this conversation, I said you're as an adult, like you shouldn't be having vote rage as a grown man. I feel like you shouldn't be yelling. Grown man or as a grown adult? As a grown adult, like as a grown, you should not be yelling across the two lanes, you fucking bitch, blah blah blah, swirling.
SPEAKER_01It's a drag.
SPEAKER_00Like as an adult, like you shouldn't be doing that.
SPEAKER_01I feel like yes. No, because if you're pissing me off, it definitely could be that.
SPEAKER_00That just happened to y'all.
SPEAKER_05Exactly. I feel like at times sometimes it is okay. Nah, but like you every reasonable shit that could have killed me, it's fuck you. And you getting that fuck you.
SPEAKER_00You can just give a middle finger. You got the yellow course three lanes. Yellow course, three lanes of moving traffic, like three lanes is crazy.
SPEAKER_04Or holding up traffic or following.
SPEAKER_05I've held up a block.
SPEAKER_01I feel like people do things on purpose. I've held up a block before.
SPEAKER_00See, there's a why. There's no reason to do that. That's crazy. I was. It was a movie about this. Like my mom used to do that. I remember as a kid, like always hunker the car in the park. I'm like, yo, Vaugh, you're embarrassing. You're just drive the car. No. Like, well, there's no, like, that's not dope. There's no reason to do that.
SPEAKER_05Imagine you trying to you trying to park your car because you're trying to get to work teaching them kids. Teaching the kids is important. And them people is trying to stop you from going to teach them kids.
SPEAKER_04We have to stop this narrative. We have to. No, it's not.
SPEAKER_05We have to.
SPEAKER_04It's not a false narrative. It's my life.
SPEAKER_05Stop this narrative. But I do agree though. Most of the females I know in my life all road rays. Like, oh no, it's 5,000.
SPEAKER_00It's very high within the female population.
SPEAKER_05Oh shit.
SPEAKER_00Have you been in the car with her and she's made you uncomfortable?
SPEAKER_04She's gonna say I drive like a grandma. Yes, you do.
SPEAKER_02You drive slow. See? She's gonna say I drive slow.
SPEAKER_05But does she have road rage?
SPEAKER_01She can't talk her shit.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, well, her windows up.
SPEAKER_05No, yeah, yeah. That's okay. That's fine. No, my windows be down, though. You have the road rage with the window up. Yeah, that's fine.
SPEAKER_04I can't really say you like fully road rage, but you got it in. Corey would say I have bad road rage. You would say I drive like a grandmother.
SPEAKER_02But Corey and you drive the same.
SPEAKER_04No, Corey. So this is the thing, because um your father.
SPEAKER_02My father.
SPEAKER_04Yes, told Corey that when he's in the car with me to protect his precious cargo. Who, you? Yeah. So Corey drives like that when I'm gonna go. Out of respect for your father. Yeah, out of respect for my father, and I hate it so much.
SPEAKER_05I do the same.
SPEAKER_01Did y'all watch the new Tyler Perry movie? Yeah. When he um gave away his daughter to Wesley and stuff, he gives me very much that energy.
SPEAKER_05Oh, I don't watch Tyler Perry no more. Oh, why did I give him that energy? I don't like Jay Senior than us as a people.
SPEAKER_04But you listen to you know what I'm not gonna enjoy that. Okay, move on.
SPEAKER_05Wait, what is it? No, please. I don't like how Tyler Perry represents us as a people.
SPEAKER_01You're big on representing us, but you listen to Drake, but you don't watch Tyler Perry movies. Yeah. Representation matters. But listening to Drake is okay.
SPEAKER_05What's wrong with it?
SPEAKER_02The representation.
SPEAKER_05What does he represent? We already said way to it.
SPEAKER_01I'm not gonna go too deep into it. It's nothing to, you know, argue about. I just feel like if you're into representation that you shouldn't listen to Drake because he definitely doesn't represent us either. In ways that you mean with Tyler Perry. Because I know I feel like I know where you're heading in when it comes to Tyler Perry, because I can slightly agree um how he makes us look. Like how he makes black families look, how he make um growing up in a struggle look, how he how he makes us look. But I feel like if you go based off that, then you need to go based off that with Drake too.
SPEAKER_05As far as he doesn't repres he I'm saying, but like what does he do that you feel is like a negative impact on our people?
SPEAKER_01I feel like he's a predator a little bit. I feel like he's a little racist.
SPEAKER_05I feel like racist or predator in what way?
SPEAKER_01He talks to little girls and um yeah, you didn't see that emo. The emo girl that he's with, that he's making videos with now, that's a little girl.
SPEAKER_05And how old is she?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we're just gonna say little.
SPEAKER_05Um but I mean like how old is she? Like is she 19?
SPEAKER_01She's young, she's young. Like you, yeah, she's young.
SPEAKER_00Just so I don't I don't know. I really I really don't know. No, no, no, no, so I have a question. I've I really don't know how old she is, but he's almost 40. So what do you? Young for him, his age.
SPEAKER_01I was just about to say, what's young to you? Like if you forgive.
SPEAKER_00So not matter. Your opinion is your opinion.
SPEAKER_01I have a question. So ask a question to my question. Whatever age that you are right now, what's young to you?
SPEAKER_00But that's what we're asking you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because he's saying it makes you feel comfortable. So what's younger? You 40, right? Who's 40? Oh, what did you say?
SPEAKER_05He's not 40 yet, but yeah, go ahead. He's older. He's 38 or not.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so you're basically 40. So round it up. He's 40. Um you're basically 40. Going two decades down is enough. Two decades down is enough.
SPEAKER_05So that's your opinion, yes. Is that the opinion of the masses? No, no, I'm not saying do you agree with that, but I'm just saying is that the opinion of the masses? I mean, for the most part. If you go based off, and I'm not saying you always have to do this, because I also agree that that's too young to talk to somebody. But if you go based off the law, which most people do, as long as you're 18 and up, you can consent to something like that. So you can't really call him 18 anymore. So you can't call him a predator for that.
SPEAKER_01That's why I said I go based on how I feel. So that's why I said if you're representing something, then it's I feel like you should represent it all around.
SPEAKER_05But and that's true. But then you also like we're talking to people out there, so we have to actually give them the right information. Like with the way you said it at first was like, oh, he's a predator because he talks to girls that's young. That's a little different because, like, if we're going based off the law now, predators like real young, 15, 14, stuff like that, you know? You gotta actually represent it for the people.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I guess. I guess we can go with that.
SPEAKER_05Alright, and what about the racist thing?
SPEAKER_01He's just racist. It was a clip going around of him saying something about black people. He's black. Not all the way. What does that mean? He's not black all the way?
SPEAKER_05Like can can he can racist things acts happen against him because of his skin? Can he be ostracized for being black in this country? Like, I understand some people look at the way he grew up because like it's the same context we say about who can say the N-word, who can't be like, that's that's what I mean by that. Some of it some of that is accurate, but then you gotta think about the times when he was growing up in Memphis. Because he wasn't always in Canada. You know what I'm saying? And at the end of the day, he is a black man, regardless of if people want to take away him be half black, half white, he's still a black man, he's gonna get ostracized the same way another black man would if he's in a certain situation. Granted, his money makes it a little bit different. You know, he's not in the same circles as most people. But if you go to a rural area in fucking the United States, and they don't know who Drake is and they're racist and shit, how do you think they're gonna treat him?
SPEAKER_04How did we get here, guys?
SPEAKER_05I'm I'm just I'm just saying, like, we we don't gotta keep it, we don't gotta keep it deep, but I'm just saying.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like this is a good thing.
SPEAKER_05There's a little bit of a difference between the way, like I understand, you know, a lot of the time people say like Drake's talk Drake talks about money, he talks about women a little like too much, and he doesn't give a great he doesn't give a great representation about talking about the times that black people are in. So if you go based off that, I understand what you're saying, right? But as far as me looking at the way Tyler Perry depicts us, there's never like you're one of the most powerful black people when it comes to the entertainment industry. Okay and none of your films or none of your projects show black people in a good light. Like there always have to be like this super old struggle, like as if everyone goes through that, and it's just I understand sometimes like that sells, but you can show uplifting stuff for black people.
SPEAKER_01I feel like you do that as a beauty in black movies um show showed that a little. It it did it none of them was struggling.
SPEAKER_05None of them was struggling as besides if you're struggling with a addiction or and that's what I'm saying. Like it don't always gotta be stereotypical like that.
SPEAKER_01But how you gonna make people how you gonna make people want to watch what you're what you're putting out?
SPEAKER_00I think it's uh unfair parallel because there's some rappers who only talk about the struggle amongst black people.
SPEAKER_05No, that and that and that is. So I think so.
SPEAKER_00I think there's I think what you're more so hinting at is that he's kind of depicted the same type of movies over and over and over again. That's why I don't watch what he does because he makes the same type of things over and over and over again.
SPEAKER_05But it's a different font, it's a different creative, you have the ability and the power to change that narrative of how people see us, and you never use that. I don't really know. You just recycle them or change. Go ahead, that's all right.
SPEAKER_04Oh, thank you. I like that. Not to cut you off, but I feel like if you watch baddies though, you can't say that.
SPEAKER_00That was gonna be my point. That was gonna be one of my next four.
SPEAKER_01If they didn't fight on baddies, I don't think we would watch it. But that's why I just said what I said, because it's like, how would he make his viewers continue watching? Yeah, yeah, so I I feel like you can't say that.
SPEAKER_00That's a contradiction. That was gonna be one of the next one.
SPEAKER_04It's definitely a contradiction.
SPEAKER_01But that's the same thing that goes for music. It's true. Rap about and think about the same thing. That's what I said.
SPEAKER_00So like you got like the locks talks about drugs all the time.
SPEAKER_05I understand what you mean, but it's also levels to it.
unknownRight?
SPEAKER_00I think that's a cop out.
SPEAKER_05No, no, no. The reason I'm gonna tell you why it's levels to it, right? Because at least on baddies, they have white people doing that shit too, right? And it's not even just white people, but they have Hispanic people. They have all people of all different races doing it. And not only that, they're showing one aspect. In the Tyler Perry movies, it's like, what stereotypical thing can I add to this and keep juicing it up, juicing it up, juicing it up. Because I haven't seen them sell one shampoo bottle since season one.
SPEAKER_00I don't agree with that at all, but that's your take, that's your take, by the way. I don't agree with that. Yeah, I don't agree with that. Right.
SPEAKER_05You don't agree with what? That it's levels to how you depict certain things to people?
SPEAKER_00No, because bro, his story was he was living out of his car, bro.
SPEAKER_05So you're talking about someone but who you you never seen him do a pursuit of happiness.
SPEAKER_00That's not his style. That's not that's not that's fine. That's fine.
SPEAKER_01It's not his style, but just like how his rap is not rapper. That's fine.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, like you can't kill him because he's not had to be the pursuit of happiness. Baby at least made it at least one time made a song that was uplifting black people. It's bigger than black and white. That's come on. At least one time.
SPEAKER_00But he's also diverse inside the acting in movies, too. Like, you can't, I you I don't think it's fair to bame him for not saying he hasn't what you're trying to depict him. I don't think that's fine. I don't think that's fair.
SPEAKER_05That's like that's like selling clothes. That's like selling clothes. You're very big, so you don't have to be.
SPEAKER_01The white t-shirts they got on right now, they're not gonna switch it up and put um the decorations on them all of a sudden. Everybody wanna need a white tee. Tyler Perry is He giving you that toxic shit that you need. Yeah, which is fun, so there's baddies. Everybody needs that's a lot of people who watches it.
SPEAKER_05And that's what I'm saying. I just don't align with that energy.
SPEAKER_04But you can't say that and then don't watch and watch baddies.
SPEAKER_01Exactly.
SPEAKER_04Because it depicts black women. It's terribly different type of horrible worse than Tyler Perry. You're all here for the women, but you watch Bad every Sunday. You can't be here for the women watching baddies every Sunday. I am here for the women, but I say I I watch Charlie Perry and I watch baddies. It's ghetto TV. You need a ghetto TV. When you were growing up, watch my battery TV.
SPEAKER_05It's more than just ghetto TV, though.
SPEAKER_01When you were growing up, your parents had ghetto TV. They watched it more than just watching. Nah, not ghetto TV.
SPEAKER_05I never quit watching that. More than just ghetto TV. Okay.
SPEAKER_01I guess. We're gonna buffer some November back.
SPEAKER_05Because now all black people, you have to depict them as doing drugs and doing all this other stuff because You feel like they categorize it. We on this couch did not experience that. You can't even You don't know my life. All my life I had to fight.
SPEAKER_04That's why you don't know my life.
SPEAKER_00When you asked me why my name was, what my name was, I said you don't know my life.
SPEAKER_05You may have known me for almost yeah, but you don't know my life. No, Britt, you didn't say on the you didn't experience some of this stuff?
SPEAKER_04But you the stuff you named, just because I said the one topic that we were talking about at that time, I never experienced that. Don't mean that. They were talking about this basically. No, we wasn't. Stuff that Tyler Perry talks about, single black mothers. My mother was a single black mother. That's understood. Stuff we're talking about. I had cousins that was drug addicts. I had cousins that was addicted to alcohol. But was that directly in your house? I'm family-oriented, you know that. So my cousins, my I lived with my mother. What are you talking about right now?
SPEAKER_05You live with your mother. Yes. All of us.
SPEAKER_04I don't know about you two.
SPEAKER_05I don't know about you too, but I'm talking about the host here. We all lived in houses with single mothers. That is not what I'm talking about. But that's an example. No, but you know what I'm saying is if he depicted like only a family, uh, a single mother that's going through the struggle and stuff like that, but all the other stuff that he enfolds in it, it's like he just picks every stereotype that they negatively say about black people and adds it to every film. That's not true.
SPEAKER_04Hold on, Bray Bray, wait, hold on. That's not true. Because I watched Tyler Perry's shows. There's some movies where he doesn't. Some movies with what with that.
SPEAKER_00House of Payne never did that.
SPEAKER_03House of Pain? House of Pain. Janine was on Janine was on drugs. One person, though. One person. But you're saying, but hopefully.
SPEAKER_04But who knows somebody on drugs? Do you not? But I'm just saying. Like that's not. Why is he being why are you saying that you don't watch him because he's pointing out the things that black people go through?
SPEAKER_05No, because he's highlighting it in everyone. White people go through the same thing. Every major family, in every major household, that's what he's going. And it's okay if white people go through the same thing. But Tyler Purry doesn't include white people going through that. Yes, he does.
SPEAKER_04Yes, he has white people in his movies that go through stuff like that.
SPEAKER_00You can't say that too if you don't watch it. Like you can't.
SPEAKER_04I've watched Tyler Purry movies. How many? Name one. Name one. You mean I've watched the Christmas movie. I've watched. Which Christmas movie? Because that had the white guy in it. The white guy that was trash trash. And then he became rich. Does that not it just be? What you said though? What they said was that he was trailer trash.
SPEAKER_05He wasn't fucking shooting up his arm.
SPEAKER_04You wasn't getting speed up. He wasn't getting tipped. We don't know what white people go through. So maybe Tyler Perry seen that aspect or know from someone their experience. I think that, yes, we are as black people, but you can't sit here and say, oh, Tyler Pevy makes black people look bad. It's the shit we go through every single day. As a family.
SPEAKER_05Because not everybody goes through that. Not everybody goes through it. So when even not everybody goes through it, you're going based off of the stereotypes. But majority of the people go through that. You putting stereotypes out there about black people. It's not a stereotype. It is a stereotype because it's not every black person going through it.
SPEAKER_04Name one black person that you know that haven't gone through something. Even if you think about like Barack Obama, how he said he was.
SPEAKER_05I'm not talking about just one thing. Having a single mother is a single mother. No, no, I'm just saying. But having a single mother, yes, that is a big struggle. But that is not something that is super extremely impacted negatively towards the outlook of the masses. Okay, so use the street. So when you use stereotypes to produce, to put like put out there for the masses to see, it makes other people like hold on, let me finish. It makes other people feel like it's acceptable to look at black people being this way, which is one of the things that like reinforces how they feel about black people. Like it's the same, like you want to put all in your movies that black people is poor, they're on welfare, they're struggling this way to do that.
SPEAKER_04It's not all his movies, bro. It's not his movies. It's majority of the movies. What about the movie where the black guys are? Thank you, Jay. If you don't watch all his movies, you can't watch the movie. What's the last Tyler Perry movie you watched? Whatever the fuck was on Netflix last year.
SPEAKER_02Last year. Last year?
SPEAKER_04Yes, he dropped the movie on Netflix.
SPEAKER_05I said I do not watch him anymore, which can be since.
SPEAKER_04So what was the last one he dropped last year on Netflix? The Medea one? The Family Vacation.
SPEAKER_05I don't remember the name of it. I did see the vacation one. But even with that, what I'm saying to you is, right, when you put those stereotypes out there to reinforce what people think, right? Especially the stuff where you're predicting, well, you're showing that black people is so reliant on welfare, this and that. We're not even the number one percentage of people that are on welfare in America. I know it's white people.
SPEAKER_00I mean so Tyler Perris has said that himself, so I don't think that's fair.
SPEAKER_05It's okay for you to say it in an interview. People don't give a fuck what you're saying in the interview. They're watching your movies, and that's what's reinforcing what they're thinking. But black people consume these movies more than white people. Thank you. How do you know that?
SPEAKER_00He said it. This is a dumb fact. Well, he said it. He knows that. He said on multiple interviews. He said, I know my biggest demographic are black women. He knows that he understands that. That's why he continues to make the same thing.
SPEAKER_05Your biggest demographic can be black women, but that doesn't speak for the percentage of people that's your biggest demographic.
SPEAKER_00That's big people that's consuming it.
SPEAKER_05That's the number one group, but that doesn't make them the largest. That's what I just said.
SPEAKER_04I'm gonna say this.
SPEAKER_00And I'm gonna say black people support top furry more than white people. Definitely. That is that come on, but what do we do? Like, let's be realistic.
SPEAKER_05Let's be I don't know that. Okay.
SPEAKER_04I don't know that. But I want to say this.
SPEAKER_05Unless you can show me, like, you're just going based off of what you think. He said I'm going to see what you think, too. No, I said I don't know. So that's based off what you think.
SPEAKER_04I just want to say this. I feel like what he's doing is a good thing because you have people that came out, especially when Stra came out. You probably didn't see it. But Strahl came out. A lot of single black mothers related to it. And they think to Raji P. Hibson. And she was like, I had to go with Robert Baker something. Okay, okay. I've seen the clips. I didn't see the whole movie. So a lot of, especially that one in particular, a lot of single black mothers related to that one. I think that what he's doing, because sometimes people don't have an outlet and they watch these movies and they'd be like, wow. Like I'm not the only one, or wow. Just like how you could relate to Drake through his music or um different people through their music. I don't think it's fair to say that he, yes, I agree with you, what you said, Jay, that he repeats a lot of people.
SPEAKER_00That's what I don't watch. He repeats I'm just repeating the same narrative image.
SPEAKER_05It's not the negative image, it's just the same image, the same story. I agree with that.
SPEAKER_00It's like watching Lil Nord over and over again. That's what's why I don't.
SPEAKER_05So you don't so you don't feel that stuff is negative?
SPEAKER_00No, I know I don't. Well, I I truly don't.
SPEAKER_04I just feel like you can't sit here and say, oh, that's negative, but you watch baddies. Why do you watch baddies?
SPEAKER_00Because if that's that's a valid point. Like that.
SPEAKER_05Why do you watch baddies? I like the personalities of them. It's true. Okay.
SPEAKER_00But it is a negative show. Like, I don't watch reality TV for that reason. I don't think it's a few.
SPEAKER_05Feminist. I'm not saying that. Call them a feminist. I'm not saying that. Whatchamacallit? That negative stuff don't happen there, but it's nothing but negativity, brother.
SPEAKER_01Literally. Nothing but negativity. Nothing good that goes on in baddies. Nothing. Yeah, they got they got music careers and stuff like that. They do fashion. So why you not say the same thing about Tyler Perry? All Tyler Perry's actors could sing. They all could sing. How many times has he put it? Half of them are happily married, happy home, happy.
SPEAKER_05But how is he showing that? He's not showing that. What are you talking about that's the thing? They're acting. That's kind of funny.
SPEAKER_01It's like if Kai Sonnette was to go into a movie.
SPEAKER_05I understand they're acting. But what I'm saying to you is you can create stories based off of that positivity. Them being happily married, them being great singers.
SPEAKER_04You can predict. What are you talking about? Some of these actors on his in his movies have reality TV shows where they show that they're gospel singers and that podcasts. Yeah, or podcasters. But it's Tyler Perry, but it's Tyler Perry showing. No, that's not fair. It's his not fair.
SPEAKER_01That's not their platform to do that. Yeah, that's not fair.
SPEAKER_05Alright, so so what I'm gonna say this this is our podcast, right? Like how baddies are. This is our podcast. You do what you do for your daily job. Okay. You do what you for your daily job, because I do what I do for my daily job. We don't represent our jobs doing this pod. So you can't give them credit. You can't give them credit for this pod for what we do on our daily jobs. That's totally different. That's not independent contractors, bro. That's a totally different, that's a totally different point. He's their employee just like their.
SPEAKER_01People get on Zeus Network and say, I'm here to build my platform.
SPEAKER_05Yes, I'm here to build my platform. I'm not here to build Tyler Perry.
SPEAKER_01If your name is up there, I want to search y'all up. Are you pretty enough? I'm gonna search you up. That's what that is.
SPEAKER_05He's a studio, bro. He's legit a movie studio. Yeah, but you have to go through him. But what y'all just said was the stuff that they do outside of him, he should get credit for because they're doing it. Who said that? Nobody said that. Nobody said that. You just said, oh, they do this, they do that. And I said, that's outside of that. But you like, oh, but he gave them the platform for blah blah blah. He doesn't.
SPEAKER_03What platform did he give them if they're doing it on the store? No, no, no. This is how I know.
SPEAKER_04This is how I know he don't watch it. Because how even from when Tyler Perry first came out, his plays, he have interviews after the players. No, let me finish. When he actually did good work after the plays, where those same actors that was in the plays are in these movies, and they'd be like, yo, I used to sleep on the street. Tyler Perry did this for them.
SPEAKER_05Yes, you're not for them, but he's not, he's not showing that stuff to people now. When he hit when he and that's when I love Tyler Perry the most, when he was doing the plays. Because the images that he showed, even though there was a struggle attached, it was very much church-oriented, and it gave positive images of what. Well, you can't really compare theater theater and the screen is two totally different aspects. You can still bring you can still bring that aspect in. Yes, you can, because he started off doing it. The church was the church was heavy in his earlier movies, was it not? I wouldn't say that, no. You're a bugger. I think there was a all he did was remake the plays into the movies at first. I think he would be. It was heavier in his earlier movies.
SPEAKER_04It was heavier in the movie.
SPEAKER_00Even you talk about Meet the Browns. Church was heavy in that. I think the reference to the Bible, reference to God, were in this were in the but you can't really compare the element of theater and movies, they're two totally different elements.
SPEAKER_05But what I'm saying to you is in the movies, it was heavily church oriented. Even Medea in the first couple movies was very much church oriented. Like Cora. Oh, Korra's going to church. Kora's doing this, Kora's doing this. Kora's the one that had Louis and O'Show with her husband. And I understand that. But what I'm saying to you is early on, church and stuff was heavy, or family values were happy. Morals was very and it very much switched to we're not doing that anymore to the negative aspects of life. I don't fuck with that. I agree. That's my that's my opinion. So if I'm saying I don't fuck with that portion, how can you say I'm wrong?
SPEAKER_00Because she's trying to call you accountable of saying, well, you watch baddies and that's also bad. So she's just trying to hold you accountable.
SPEAKER_05I'm not saying that I don't consume anything that's bad. But what I'm saying is when every aspect of something is super negative, you can't say every whole and it brings and it can't say every aspect if you don't watch everything he's doing now.
SPEAKER_00So you don't know what else he's doing that's not negative if you don't watch this content now.
SPEAKER_05I just talked about strays. I've seen clips of that.
SPEAKER_04What strays? Straws.
SPEAKER_05Straws, whatever. I've seen clips of that.
SPEAKER_04I haven't seen the whole movie, but I've seen clips of it. Exactly. You can't go off of that's like me saying, Oh, I heard the first verse of Rod Wave. And when I did that, didn't I do that up here? I heard the first verse of something, and I was like, I don't, the TR song. I was like, I don't like it. Oh, you can't do that. You just heard the beat. Did you did you not say that? But I've seen multiple clips though. Okay. Agreed or disagree. Moving on. Move on to the her segment. All right. Take it away. This is the her segment. We need the Ari shit. This is every week. We need our song for the her segment, but I catered the questions to my lovely guests, our lovely guests, the Brister and the sister.
SPEAKER_06Pause.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, because you're talking about shit. Go ahead. Okay, Brister. When did you know you were gay?
SPEAKER_02Check it out the room.
SPEAKER_05That's I don't think. Imagine pop out the pop out the womb to elderly.
SPEAKER_04My shit. Can you be serious? When did you know you was gay?
SPEAKER_02Fourth grade.
SPEAKER_04That's a lie. Fourth grade. How are you gonna tell her the whole thing?
SPEAKER_02That she's gonna be like, but she might not have known after fourth grade, though.
SPEAKER_04And she might not have known then.
SPEAKER_02That was after fourth grade. Fourth grade is when I really after fourth grade. What are you talking about?
SPEAKER_04Well, exactly. You know what I'm talking about.
SPEAKER_02Oh, actually, what are you talking about?
SPEAKER_04Oh, you don't want to say it on camera. Right, you don't want me to say it on camera.
SPEAKER_02You're talking about pickles?
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_02That was after fourth grade. Yes, it was. It was during middle school. So why did you do it? Why did I do it? I told you. I didn't see. My mother said to see and I see.
SPEAKER_04So because we on air and we ain't hiding secrets, do you mind if I do you share? Do you want to share? What I did?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04How do you want me to say it? Say what we're talking about. You don't have to say names, though. You don't got no, she's not gonna say names.
SPEAKER_02I had sex.
SPEAKER_05Fourth grade? With a girl.
SPEAKER_03Like, yo, say, tell them what you did when you was underage. Like, I'm gonna say. No, no, no, no, no. Say cut. No, no, no, no, no, no. Cut.
SPEAKER_04I'm saying because I asked her how she knows she was gay, right? And she said fourth grade. I'm like, that's impossible because she did try with a guy.
SPEAKER_05Oh, oh, you tried with the clarify for me. Not only girls, but also for me. Yes, yes, yes. Like when you say you had sex, I thought it was with a girl.
SPEAKER_04No, she she tried sex with a girl. But you were before. My question to you is. How did you know you was gay if you still went and tried the man?
SPEAKER_02Okay. It was pressure of my mother saying, like, I'm going through a phase, so I went through it. Yeah, if I was really going through a phase. I listened to my mother more than anything.
SPEAKER_00How old was you in this habit?
SPEAKER_02When I did it?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Seventh grade? Seventh? Seventh? Eighth grade?
SPEAKER_00Y'all niggas in booklets.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, so I can't really ask the question I was gonna ask.
SPEAKER_00Y'all niggas popping cherries at 12 is kind of crazy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he ain't popped nothing, so we not getting it. Oh, my bad.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, we need that. We don't need a chance. We don't need that. Okay. Yeah, if we go into sexual stories, being adult.
SPEAKER_01Right. Um, how did I I feel like I feel like I knew since very young, but I always still like tried a lot of things.
SPEAKER_00You've had boyfriends before.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like I went to an old girl school for my middle school and half my high school. So it was like Is this a private school? No. Oh. It was a public school. Um, and we used to collab with Eagle Academy a lot.
SPEAKER_03Oh my gosh, I went on to get trip with them.
SPEAKER_00They're doing big things in football, but you're right. Yeah, they're doing big things. Shout out to them.
SPEAKER_01So it was like, I don't know, I had the best of both worlds when I was young. So it was really like if I want the experience with a male, I'll experience with a male. If I want the experience with a female, I'll experience with a female. And so were you consider yourself bi back then? Uh yeah.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_05And what are you now, if you don't mind me asking? Okay.
SPEAKER_04So wait, is that gay? Like, okay, so that was my next question. Thank you, Joel. That was the next question. Do you consider yourself lesbian, dike, stud? I obviously I know you breed, but I gotta eye.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, um, I'm a lesbian, I'm a female, I'll go as she and her. Um, I don't really go into the like the he, hims and uh they thems, and you know, like I don't really I don't want to like come at them, but it's just like I don't personally agree with it. So yeah.
SPEAKER_05So you don't give off like masculine energy.
SPEAKER_01Oh, definitely. I'm very dominant, yes. You asking her like as her personality or in the relationship? Definitely.
SPEAKER_05Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_01She sh you would agree.
SPEAKER_05I so I do have a question. Like, tell me if it's too far, you don't have the answer. But back when back when you did have experiences with men and women, is it that men did not satisfy you in the way that women did, or is just like you're you can't see yourself just being in a relationship with a man compared to a woman?
SPEAKER_01I feel like when it comes to me and men, it's different. Like I said, I'm very mad, like I'm very dominant. So it's like when I was dealing with men, it everything would be amazing. Like, I don't want to say it like that, but like, you know, sexual parts would be amazing, everything would be amazing, but I just can't be in a relationship with a male. Like, I can't, you can't submit. I can't like it's like, and it's like it's it's the same thing vice versa with a male. Like, I don't know, because I never really took it that far, but um, it's it's just like the I don't know how to explain. I feel like since I was very young, I always gave the I love women. So I can't come to my mama's house and be like, yeah, I got a boyfriend. She's gonna look at me like, what did you do to him? What drug he on?
SPEAKER_05Or like is he feminine type?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, not no, not feminine type, but I'll say, like, you like what is he on? Like, what he liking you for real, girl? Like, you know, I don't know. I feel like I've been with women for so long, like actual relationships with women. The only thing like it would come with me in a in a male is just like sexual actions or something.
SPEAKER_05Like, it would never be like a an actual relationship, like and that's pretty much what I was like trying to get at. Like, is it that you just can't be in a relationship with one? Or is just like the pleasures was just different? Because you know, like me coming as a single man, I can't.
SPEAKER_01I can't be in a relationship with one, but I like I can't be yeah, I can't be in a relationship with one, and I low-key say the same thing with females, like before, like her, I'll say the same thing with females. I can't be in a relationship. I just feel like I can't be in a committed relationship. Well, I used to feel like I can't be in a committed relationship.
SPEAKER_04Not a toxic Brie. You sitting too close to Jay.
SPEAKER_01I can't be in a relationship.
SPEAKER_05So is it that you can't be in a relationship with like a femme?
SPEAKER_01Or I was in a relationship with a femme.
SPEAKER_05No, no, I'm saying, but you felt as if like before your relationship now.
SPEAKER_01I don't know. When it comes to relationships, I feel like I like to please myself. So if I feel like this is before you, I feel like I want to go out and I want to enjoy myself, and let's say I see a male that's attractive, I'm gonna enjoy myself. Or if I go out and I see a female that's attractive, I'm gonna enjoy myself. That's just that's just what it is. Like, I that's why I couldn't be in a committed relationship. Because it's like if I was to have a boyfriend and my boyfriend's at home or my boyfriend's at work, or my boyfriend's doing something, and I'm going out and I see something that's attracted to me, I'm gonna wanna entertain it. I'm gonna wanna be outside. You know, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Well, she was outside.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, was was um Brista Brista. Can you give Brista the mic? Where do you consider yourself? Fix your face. Yeah, yeah. Where do you consider yourself as in a stud.
SPEAKER_02So now we're gonna go into the breakdowns of like a stud and what is a dike? A stud knows that they still have a feminine feminine parts. You know, dykes, you know, say I walk outside with my titties out. You do be doing that so I walk outside with a tank top on. Well that dykes will walk outside with just their titties out thinking they just flat chest. What you mean titties out? Like they won't wear a shirt or a-like they're just a man, like they see themselves switching over to the other part.
SPEAKER_04Um, I get what you're saying. So is dykes, they would be the ones that turn into transgenders?
SPEAKER_01Eventu, yeah, eventually, yeah, later on. More. I feel like I explain it low-key better because I feel like I've been in a lot of experiences. Um trans people. Please. Um, I don't do the trans, first of all. Let me just get that out of the way. I've done it. Hold on, hold on.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's nothing. Nothing against y'all. Hold on.
SPEAKER_01No, no, let me finish talking. Let me finish talking. It's nothing against y'all. I have a lot of friends that chose to want to go the other route. I have a cousin. You know, like it's it's you know, it's a lot, but I I don't agree with it when I come to it sexually.
SPEAKER_04Me. It's not your It's not my preference. It's not her box.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but it's not, it's not, I support y'all. If you if that's your decision, I support. But I like I told her, like, I asked her a question not too long ago and I said, like, do you ever think about transitioning? Like, do you ever think about fully cutting your top off? Or it's just things like that that you have to ask because further down in a relationship is I'm gonna look at you and I'm gonna be like, I know the person I fell in love with. I know the person I chose to be in a relationship with. So if you come back to me, you your top fully cut off, I don't know what to tell you. I'm I'm I don't want to be there no more because I know what I chose to be with. Like, you know, so back to the the stud and the dyke and the the trans and the I feel like that was a sneeze. Dykes, it's a lot of dykes that don't fully transition, or it's a lot of dykes that don't transition at all that just likes to, she has her feminine parts, but are touch me knots and or are touch me's but don't like to say that they believe me.
SPEAKER_04I know what that is, yeah.
SPEAKER_01It's just a it's a lot of They don't know what that is.
SPEAKER_04I know what that is.
SPEAKER_05You know what that is? What touch me not?
SPEAKER_01As far as like don't touch these areas, because I like Yeah, a touch a female, it's a lot of females that's I used to be a touch me not. I used to be a female that wasn't a touch me not and like nobody touching me. I didn't like I didn't like to be pleasured in a certain way. I just only like to do the pleasuring.
SPEAKER_05Because it feels weird to you because you see yourself as a man, so you don't want nobody playing with you.
SPEAKER_01No, it's not that it's it's it's sometimes it comes with your teeth. No, it's it's it's sometimes it comes very personally. Like I will say it when I'm comfortable with saying it me personally. My issue why I became a touch me not was because when I had first came out that I was a lesbian to my mom, it was around the time I was being touched by my cousin. So this got deep. Um it's okay, it's fine. Any let's not make it deep. Um, I didn't want to be touched by female fully or male fully in any way. So it's like I chose to be a touch runa, but I still found female attractive. So I still wanted to please you, but I don't want you to touch me. I know what you mean.
SPEAKER_05Like, don't touch me just to touch me, type of shit. But like if I'm sexually attracted to you and we about to get down, it's okay for us to interact in that way. Okay, Lance.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, so you yeah, you're low-key catching the gist. But um, yeah. When it comes to trans and stuff, it's just it's different and like dykes and stuff is different. I feel like the he, they, them, him is a very she, her, him. Like sometimes people go she him, like you, like you were saying about her. And um that's why I had to fix it. Cause I was like, no, she's not a he, she, him, her. I don't know. I'll be playing with her. But you know, you know why, yeah.
SPEAKER_04But she no anyways, but no, I I asked these questions because um I think that the response from a older couple or older people in the LGBTQ community. Plus, yes, plus, plus.
SPEAKER_06Is it a sexy?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah, yeah. So um, I feel like people in that uh the older generation, they would say different things. How I know certain people that take the he, she, they, because they you know why pronouns serious.
SPEAKER_01Um, you know, like such thing as butches, you're not supposed to call a dyke a dyke, you're not supposed to say the F-word. Um, you're not supposed to um what's that? I said butch already. Um white though. Yeah, but still, are we discriminating? Like we're not, we're not.
SPEAKER_04No, we're not.
SPEAKER_00Um I never knew the butch was just for white people. I never knew that.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I never knew it was for white people either. My mom, yeah. Is that why like they the stereotype is that they have like the short haircut and they yeah, the short haircut, the baggy clothes.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, okay. Um the tattoos, the like the biker image usually a lot of things like that that uh confuse people, and that's why I feel like it's a lot of older masculine masculine females that deal with that and that just comes to terms with accepting it. Cause I have an older um stud cousin that deals with the same thing with my mom and our family alone. So she's when she goes outside, she deals with the same thing with people. So it's it's a it comes to terms with accepting it. Like Jayla's gonna accept it when she gets older too, like where she is gonna accept people calling her him. And it's a lot of females I mean, I think she gets that now. She told or these where people think I was about to say it's a lot of females that I used to deal with in the past also that actually look like males and that they will get taken as a male and they'll be like, No, I'm a female, and you know, like, and it'll be things like that that you go through, and it's it you just have to come to terms with the world that we are. Now that's like walking around in white and black and gray and this, and like, you know, like Alright, so based off that, J-Do, um The J- Do is killing me.
SPEAKER_05When when situations like that do happen and someone like I guess mispronounce you in a way, like they call you a him or like sir, he, something like that. Is that something that makes you upset?
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_05And the reason why that doesn't make you upset is why.
SPEAKER_02That just doesn't make me upset. Keep going. I get called he, him. My own grandmother called me, you know, granddaughter slash grandson. It don't really hurt my feelings.
SPEAKER_05So is because like it's the way I dress.
SPEAKER_02I can't be mad at the way I dress, you you getting confused.
SPEAKER_04But I think he's asking for strangers, because I call you Brister all the time. With your line of duty, because you said you're a teacher, you had a student that um called you, I think, a nigga or a guy. A nigga, bitch. Yeah, and you fought that student, did you not?
SPEAKER_03I'm sorry. Did you not fight that student? Did you not fight?
SPEAKER_04It was added on to it. It had to be added on, didn't you? But I think that I think you don't get crazy. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring that up, but I mean, I'm just saying I don't for the books. You don't get mad like how me or grandma bunny joke around about it, but I think that if someone pisses you off a stranger and they don't know you, it does it on the before.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_02As you get older, it don't bother you.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_05Alright, so going based off that, like, I understand you're okay with Britney doing it now and grandma doing it now, but at some point in your life, did it get to you and you just not say anything? Or is it because like the level of maturity you're at now, it's more acceptable, so you just like don't even think about that no more.
unknownI don't think about it no more.
SPEAKER_04And for me, I think I could tell when it annoys her. Like she'll have a certain tone or she'll like her response. Sometimes I'd be like, Oh, okay, she's really in a a certain type of mood, so I won't like joke around with her like that or something like that. That's good if you big sis. Yeah, shout outs to me. Thank me.
SPEAKER_02I don't want to. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Um, so that goes into my last question. Um, what's some advice you would give a child who wants to come out the closet and scared to tell their parents? I used come out the closet because I didn't know the term that was I was scared to come out the closet.
SPEAKER_00Is that not the term?
SPEAKER_02I I don't think is that's the term the closet, yeah.
SPEAKER_04You was it's let's not tell how you came out the closet.
SPEAKER_02No, I was scared.
SPEAKER_04Were you really?
SPEAKER_02A little bit, but I don't know why I was when they knew the answer. They didn't even say it.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, they definitely I think we all knew the answer.
SPEAKER_02You didn't know the answer.
SPEAKER_04I didn't. I just was curious why one summer you was wearing do-rags, and I was confused. Like I came over and you was just wearing do-rags. I can't. And she used to have nice long hair, like, and then you cut your hair off. You did like a fade, uh, a whatever it's called. Well my cuts be nice. Yeah, but I I was confused. You was like my baby sister. I was taking the Chuck E.
SPEAKER_02Cheese, and then summers later, if you was to pull up the pictures of me and Chuck E. Cheese compared to what the other girls was wearing and what I was wearing, you was confused.
SPEAKER_04I was confused when you didn't want to dance and you she wanted to play basketball. I was so confused.
SPEAKER_02I did everything in the book.
SPEAKER_04No, you didn't. I mean, straight women play basketball. That's nothing. But no, but here's the thing. She wanted to play like the shooting games, the car racing game. She didn't want to do nothing girly. And I'm gonna go to the city. She was a ton boy.
SPEAKER_02I did ballet. That's girly.
SPEAKER_04That's very girly. How long did it last?
SPEAKER_02Nah, I did like two years of it. Anywho, I said on.
SPEAKER_05I'm sorry, but you know what's the funniest thing? Like when somebody comes out the closet, or like you just didn't expect that shit at all. I don't think it's coming up the closet if you knew.
SPEAKER_00She's making it say that she's like adding that. Like the family knew it. I don't think that's coming out the closet. I was like, if Jonah was coming up the closet, that's coming up the closet. That's crazy. Why you gotta be.
SPEAKER_01That's what I say. It's different. Like if a female comes out of the closet or masculine male, not a female like her female, like an actual like a female female. Oh, you mean like a feminine female. Really?
SPEAKER_04Story. Yeah, yeah. Like if I turn into Jayla. Story, right?
SPEAKER_01Not even if you turn into Jayla, because with my mom, with me coming out the closet, she like my mom is an older Spanish woman. Oh shit. So, and she's from Puerto Rico. So, um, when I said I was a lesbian was when I went to an all-girls school. So now what she be saying, like when we argue or she's telling a family member about me, she be like, yeah, that all this shit started from when she went to that all-girl school. She should have never said that. I just be trying to tell her, like, it didn't start from there, but I just, you know, felt comfortable telling you there. And even to this day, she still be telling me, like, oh, it's a phase. Like, but she likes Jla. Like, she loves, like, she loves my girlfriend. So every every time I'm on the phone with her, she's like, oh, yeah, where's Jayla? Or anytime I go see her, she'd be like, Yeah, where's Jayla? Um, or even when Jayla used to come over and stuff, yeah. But in my other past relationships, she never used to like them. She used to be like, yeah, it's a phase. And this is even though still now she'd be like, yeah, it's a phase, I can't wait till you get over this phase. Look at J. I'd be like, yeah, like she'd be like, oh, then where's Jayla? So it's just still be confusing now, but I feel like she's now warming up to it because she feels like I'm going in a better path with it.
SPEAKER_04Okay, so what is some of what is for we we kind of getting up there with the fans and the supporters, right? So what would be some advice? Maybe someone who's watching is like, wow, like I want to come out the closet, like even if my mom don't accept it.
SPEAKER_01Like, I feel like the best way to think about it is to think about yourself, what you prefer, what you're liking. Um, how do you choose to please yourself? Like, what pleases you, like, it's not like stop living life for others. When once you stop living life for others, you will start seeing it a lot differently. Like, instead of thinking about, yeah, I don't want to come out the closet because my mom might not accept me, or my father might not accept me, or oh, you got Caribbean parents, we all know how that goes. And it like I said, like just think about yourself. Like, it's not what people, I feel like what people don't really think about is that not everything is everybody's business. Like, I could walk down the street right now, a group of men will see me, and they will not think I'm gay. That's not their business. Just keep it pushing. I'm not, I'm not supposed to stop and be like, yeah, I'm gay, gay written on my forehead. I got a girlfriend. No, just keep pushing. They're not need for a conversation. They're not like it's not it's not needed. So go with what you like.
SPEAKER_05That's funny, huh? Leave me alone, I'm gay now.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Brister? You really have a short attention span.
SPEAKER_02ADHD. You've been new to this though. That's why it took you a while to put me on here. Oh shit. Yes.
SPEAKER_04So embarrassing.
SPEAKER_02Yes, you see. That's why I choose her over me.
SPEAKER_01I'll choose me over her too.
SPEAKER_02Please don't piss me off at this time of day.
SPEAKER_04Oh, this is the real thing coming out. Cause this this little fake managed couple that they playing right now. I'm not even gonna say. Anywho. What would your advice be? Yes, what would your advice be?
SPEAKER_02My advice would be just do it. Honestly. Why is that? Be yourself. Don't hide yourself.
SPEAKER_00So, what do you say to people who I'm not sure if you were in this situation, but I feel like you was because you know she was going door to door with the favorite. Wow, that's crazy. How do you feel when they try to put religion into your sexuality? How does that make you feel? Religion? Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Her so her mother her mother is Caribbean. Yeah, two different mothers? Yeah, we have two different same father, two different mothers.
SPEAKER_02I know it's not like um what you said? I said I love you. Do you love me back by any chance? No.
SPEAKER_04What go ahead? Because what answer the question, please. What he just said.
SPEAKER_02My mother's a real Caribbean mother. So to this day, she still asked me if I'm, you know, cutting the titties off, cutting it, if I'm about to be a man. And then when I answer the question, no, I hope not. You know, I don't want you to go that far. And then she still has faith that I'm a revert back to men?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, go back straight.
SPEAKER_04She thinks she's never gonna have to be a good thing.
SPEAKER_05Like you think I'm gonna have to do that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I keep saying I'm not gonna go back straight. She just, you know, she has real big faith, and I'm gonna keep letting her have that faith.
SPEAKER_05See, because I got a story too, right? So I just found out like last year that one of my little cousins is I don't even know what to explain. But now she is like, she dressed better than me.
SPEAKER_01You know, she she got a a lot of a lot of studs dress better than a lot of men.
SPEAKER_05And I was just like, wait, I didn't even know. My cousin was like, yeah, she's been like that for like such and such and such. But like growing up, you never would see that. Cause like, now don't get me wrong, her father always had her fly, but it was like a feminine type fly, you know what I'm saying? So like now to see her like that, the image is different, but then now you look at it, you be like, hmm, maybe there was some signs, but I I just really ain't expect that shit.
SPEAKER_01Um when it comes to religious families, like you know, we had that one, we always got that one grandmother that's gonna like always tell you. Um a female needs to sleep. Yeah, a female needs to sleep with a male, and the only way things can happen is if a female sleeps with a male. Or, you know, like even being married, huh?
SPEAKER_00No puerdo contiga.
SPEAKER_01Wait, say that again?
SPEAKER_00She didn't listen to it.
SPEAKER_01I told you.
SPEAKER_03You caught him.
SPEAKER_00I said it. She knew what I said, though.
SPEAKER_01No, you I feel like I try I know what you was trying to say.
SPEAKER_00I know what I said. She shouldn't listen.
SPEAKER_01What do you mean?
SPEAKER_04Can you say it correctly, please?
SPEAKER_01I didn't know. Say it again.
SPEAKER_00No puerdo contiga.
SPEAKER_01No puedo contigo?
SPEAKER_00See. That's what I said. See.
SPEAKER_01What do you mean?
SPEAKER_00Don't tell me that.
SPEAKER_01What are you trying to say? Don't tell me.
SPEAKER_00So you're when I'm saying that when you're that's not saying that.
SPEAKER_01No puedo contigo isn't it does not mean don't tell me that. Yeah. That means I can't with you.
SPEAKER_00That's what you would say with to your grandparents who would say you have to sleep with the woman. I mean sleep with the man. You're like, no, no, no. I can't with you. Like, I don't want to do that. I want to be with the.
SPEAKER_01That would be that will be. That would be your response. He's saying your response. So you was never No, you no quiero. You know what I'm saying? That's not what you want.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. That's not what you want. But that's the same thing.
SPEAKER_01No, that's not.
SPEAKER_00So you when your parents, or when your grandmother, you're laughing, Britt. I'm trying to be serious. When your grandmother would say you have to, she believed that you should be traditional and sleep with the man, you wouldn't say that's not what you want.
SPEAKER_01You no quiero a saleso.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. That's not what you want.
SPEAKER_01That's not saying I don't want to do that.
SPEAKER_05Also saying I can't deal with you. I can't with you. That's an appropriate response to it.
SPEAKER_01See, that's gonna take it as in like me being disrespectful towards her, me saying I can't with her.
SPEAKER_00I don't understand. I don't say when you put it that way, I do not like that.
SPEAKER_01But me saying you're not like you no quiero a sales or like I don't want to do that.
SPEAKER_00Right. Maybe we should teach her Spanish.
SPEAKER_01She's been trying to learn since the game. She's like a game. She gotta get a game up.
SPEAKER_05Nah, but I know what you mean, especially those like those Puerto Rican grandmas, yo, they will give you that energy because. How are you though? They will give you that energy because they very much very much church oriented. Very much. And it's really like my guy Catholic, this and that, and we don't play.
SPEAKER_01I'll say like uh a time where I was trying to bring a male home, she knew the type of male I would go for. So when let's like it's a little short story time. Um it's this, it was this, it was this this boy. Um he's not from around, uh no way around. And he was very gang affiliated.
SPEAKER_00So he was in class.
SPEAKER_01He was in Jalen's class. He was in Jalen class. He was yeah, he was in his class, and he was very much gang affiliated, and you could tell that on him. And when my mom met him, she was like, Yeah, no.
SPEAKER_05Is that where you got the nickname Murder? No.
SPEAKER_01No, not at all.
SPEAKER_04She was in Jalen class too.
SPEAKER_01Maybe like second grade, but not fifth. But um, yeah, definitely she was like, definitely no. And it was just it was just that from then. She knows I didn't bring no male home after that. It was straight females.
SPEAKER_04So well, that was all my her questions. Um, I do want to say thank you guys for coming up. Brista, the energy that Brieber gave was the energy that you I really thought it was gonna be the opposite. I thought you was gonna bring that in. Yeah, like I know you off the show a little bit.
SPEAKER_01I've been telling Britney to bring me on here.
SPEAKER_04No, but I'm saying you see how she acting, is it's completely different.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. She's chill. But thanks for having us. Definitely. Thanks for having us. We enjoyed being y'all guests.
SPEAKER_05We enjoyed having y'all as guests.
SPEAKER_01She probably needs some honey in her system, you know.
SPEAKER_00She said, You got nothing but alcohol in this motherfucker. You don't got nothing but alcohol in this motherfucker.
SPEAKER_04For setting a drink, I had to share it with Jay. Like, I'm share with the class.
SPEAKER_01Alcohol is different from honey. Honey to her is is you know, you deal with it with your father, you know.
SPEAKER_04Alcoholics.
SPEAKER_01Alcoholics, but you know I'm a alcoholics.
SPEAKER_03Like they don't drink only to me. Only when they wake up. Only when we go to sleep. Only when we're about to go drink.
SPEAKER_04Only when we wake up. You're not gonna defend, like I can't defend them no more.
SPEAKER_02Uh-oh. I can. I'm trying to defend myself. Yeah, just stop trying to defend me.
SPEAKER_04Like, yo, I'm taking strains over there too. Well, um, thank you guys for coming. It was very interesting. Uh show, you know. Next time, maybe the energy that we was expecting, Joel. Because you've seen very much.
SPEAKER_05Like, yo, on phone, yo. I was on the phone one time, me and Brittany driving, we're gonna get gas. We're still on the phone, like, who's that? You cheating on Corey? Oh nah. Like, she moved fast. Yo, tell him. Hey, Brittany moved fast. There you go. Hey, yo, tell him give me $50. I ain't gonna tell.
SPEAKER_00Give me $50, I ain't gonna tell. I'm like, yo, that's crazy. No, what I'll say. No puerto contigo.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You know what I say.
SPEAKER_00That's our show for this week. Y'all we'll be back next week. Uh, hopefully we have the girls back another time. All right, y'all. Take care.
