plan is to ultimately get to Rome. 00:06:04.879 --> 00:06:13.040 Traveling through and up through the churches in Macedonia and Achai and ultimately get to Jerusalem and then to Rome. 00:06:15.360 --> that even if it looks difficult and it's gonna be a struggle, it's worth giving him your yes. 00:07:10.720 --> 00:07:12.240 Give him your yes. 00:07:12.480 --> 00:07:39.600 Again, we are in chapter 21 today, but to set the context for what's happening, Paul has, again, on his way to Jerusalem, and on the way to Jerusalem, he wants to make it there by Pentecost, and he has a large offering that has been collected amongst Gentile uh churches, a large offering to be given to the Jewish Christians, believers in Jerusalem. 00:07:39.839 --> 00:07:41.839 Many were impoverished. 00:07:42.240 --> 00:07:55.600 And so he's collected this offering, and along with representatives from these different churches, these different regions, he is headed to Jerusalem and he wants to get there by Pentecost because Pentecost is when everybody's gonna show up. 00:07:55.839 --> 00:07:57.759 Pentecost is the birthday of the church. 00:07:57.839 --> 00:08:15.920 And it also would provide a tangible testimony of the unity in the body of Christ that Gentiles give sacrificially to Jews because they no longer see them as adversaries but as family. 00:08:18.000 --> 00:08:25.360 So this was in Paul's heart to do, to get there and to get there again by Pentecost. 00:08:26.079 --> 00:08:32.559 He wants to make an address to the Ephesian elders, but he doesn't want to stop in Ephesus because it might Jerusalem, constrained by the Spirit, not knowing what will happen to me there, except the Holy Spirit testifies to me in every city that imprisonment and afflictions, imprisonment and afflictions you look at the text, you know, you see, and you know, when we had parted, that sounds just kind of like, you know, hey, just normal, you know, hey, when we parted. 00:11:11.200 --> 00:11:12.720 We
