SPEAKER_00

Hello, and welcome to the Scooby Zone, the podcast where I'm so nervous I wish I had a ham sandwich to calm my nerves. As we watch a bit of Scooby-Doo. I'm Rob. And I'm Katie. And today we'll be watching Mind Your Own Business. Episode 4 of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? And I know this is one of your favorite episodes.

SPEAKER_01

It is one of my favorite episodes. You got it.

SPEAKER_00

This is a very enjoyable one. It is. I don't recall seeing this one as often growing up. But it's definitely one that sticks with you once you've watched it. I can't complain about the ghost or what goes on in this.

SPEAKER_01

Nope.

SPEAKER_00

So you can find us online on the Scooby-Zone podcasts on Facebook and wherever we have. You can email us at ScoobyZonePodcast at gmail.com. And you know, email us whatever you want. You know, questions about Scooby. Comments about Scooby.

SPEAKER_01

Comments about our podcast and how we're doing.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Um if you have a fun catchy name for our list where where we are ranking all of the traps. Because we still need a name for that.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, we do need a name for that.

SPEAKER_00

But we don't want to take up way too much of your time.

SPEAKER_01

No, that we do not.

SPEAKER_00

Do you have anything to add before we decide to just jump straight into the episode?

SPEAKER_01

I guess we should just jump right into the episode.

SPEAKER_00

Alright, so we're gonna go split up and look for some clues, and we'll be right back. And we're back. That was mind your own business.

SPEAKER_01

That was a pretty good episode, but it was.

SPEAKER_00

It is amazing at how long 22 minutes can feel.

SPEAKER_01

It is, isn't it?

SPEAKER_00

Because that did not feel like 22 minutes. That felt very short.

SPEAKER_01

It did feel short.

SPEAKER_00

And I don't know if that is a good thing.

SPEAKER_01

It might not be a good thing.

SPEAKER_00

Love Scooby.

SPEAKER_01

I do too. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You know, enjoyed this episode quite a lot.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, very enjoyable.

SPEAKER_00

But yeah, it felt so very quick.

SPEAKER_01

It did feel very quick, didn't it? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So let's go ahead and take this from the beginning.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

So we open with a shot of the ghost town. And we see the monster of the episode, the minor 49er, walk by. Before we get a shot of the mystery machine driving by.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

And wouldn't you know it, they've got Shaggy as Navigator. And in his infinite expert brilliance.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah, he's got that.

SPEAKER_00

He's got the map upside down.

SPEAKER_01

How does that happen? No wonder we're lost.

SPEAKER_00

You know, it makes that bit in the second live-action movie where he's reading the thing upside down and not understanding it a lot more appreciative than Shaggy reading things upside down goes all the way back to 1969.

SPEAKER_01

Yep, definitely. You gotta go all the way, man.

SPEAKER_00

After Velma points out that his nap's upside down, they find out that they are in Gold City.

unknown

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. They decide to check into a ranch, guest ranch, um, for the night.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Where the owner, uh, Big Ben, he's delighted to see them because there are no other guests.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

And when they meet his assistant Hank, Hank explains that it's because there's a minor 49er is the local ghost who's an old prospector who's in the mine looking for any gold that might be left.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Um because they figure they have nothing else to do for the night.

SPEAKER_01

No, what else do we have? We don't have to sleep. Why would we have to sleep? Yeah, it's not bored.

SPEAKER_00

The game decides to go into town uh to look around.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

And they don't really find anything. Shaggy and Scooby dip into a saloon, ask for a couple of sarsferillas, and don't freak out when two mugs slide out by them that are one, they're filled with spider webs, which they freak out over the fact they're filled with spider webs. But there's no one else in the saloon with them that they can see.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Yet they don't question why would they? How they get the mugs. Yep. It's like the ham sandwich.

SPEAKER_01

It's like the ham sandwich. They don't question it.

SPEAKER_00

They don't question it until something more scary happens.

unknown

Definitely.

SPEAKER_00

Um but then uh they get startled again when a player piano starts playing.

SPEAKER_01

By itself.

SPEAKER_00

And which Velma points out like it's a player piano. It's supposed to do that.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Um, Shaggy then gets frightened by a tree branch grabbing him while they're walking through a abandoned hotel.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's holding on to Shaggy.

SPEAKER_00

That's one ferocious tree branch. It's not letting go at all. Um As they walk by through a hallway past a mirror, Scooby decides he's a little behind everyone. He decides to kind of mess around with the mirror, where eventually after he disappears and comes back, instead of his reflection, it's the minor 49er.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

And once again we find another monster who is terrible at grabbing.

SPEAKER_01

It is definitely terrible at grabbing. We definitely have to put that in there.

SPEAKER_00

Um in which Scooby in his running away knocks over a cigar store Indian, um, in which the head comes off and they find inside a map of Gold City and uh the letters L and R, and a set of numbers written on the map that Velma figures is probably the combination to a safe that she saw in the lobby.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Or the office. Was it the lot sh I can't remember if she said.

SPEAKER_01

I can't remember either. Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_00

So either way, they go to the safe, and here we see another one of Shaggy's expert skills, in which he shows he's an expert safe cracker because he just starts messing with the combination.

SPEAKER_01

Yep, messing with the safe.

SPEAKER_00

Um, you know, just he's got his ear to the door and he's just turning everything. When Fred points out, he's like, he's got the combination right here. Just turn the knob to the left. But before he does, Scooby opens the door, so it's like Jake's got it unlocked because if it would have been open to start with, messing with that would have locked it, messing with the dial should have locked it unless unless it's just there for show.

SPEAKER_01

It must just be there for show, yep, just for the design purposes.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Inside the safe, we get we find an elevator, they all go on. Scooby doesn't, yep. In which, you know, have to bribe Scooby with Scooby Snacks to get him on.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

And the elevator takes them down into the mine. Um and here is where we get this week's safety warning, in which do not mistake sticks of dynamite for candles.

SPEAKER_01

Because that's not what they are.

SPEAKER_00

Because you know, it's a little dark. Shaggy finds what he thinks are candles and lights them. And no, it's dynamite, you know. Dynamite. So, yeah, that's our safety topic for the week. Be careful with dynamite. Yeah, yeah, that's kind of explosive.

SPEAKER_01

It's kind of explosive, isn't it? You can't blow them out either. You can't blow on the can.

SPEAKER_00

Um exploring a little deeper, they find a bunch of lit lanterns along the walls. Um hearing a frightful moaning, um, getting then terrified by the miner who is, you know, he chases Shaggy and Scooby through some minecarts and everything. And eventually, after a mishap where Fred falls into a bunch of flour, which we Why was there flour in the basement? We're never explained why there's flour in the mine. Like it serves no purpose because ghost isn't white.

SPEAKER_01

No, yeah, I know he's not white. There's no shield from him either.

SPEAKER_00

Um that is true.

SPEAKER_01

How why why would there be flower in the mine? The ghost.

SPEAKER_00

So, listeners, if you have any ideas why there's this random bigs of flower in abandoned mind. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Explanations here, please.

SPEAKER_00

Um, but anyways, yeah, after a mishap of Shaggy and Scooby running into a flower-covered Fred thinking he's a ghost, the gang gets together again, and they find a wire running along the floor of the mine, in which they follow to a room with a tape recorder, which is hooked to a microphone and some loudspeakers, which after hitting play, they hear the moaning. So they figure that's where the echoing moan is coming from. And they also find jars of uh crude oil.

SPEAKER_01

But Shaggy thinks it's chocolate syrup, so he thinks and wants to eat it.

SPEAKER_00

Luckily, Shaggy doesn't eat any of the oil because that can only so certain how that would have screwed up his stomach more.

SPEAKER_01

Well, it doesn't happen because Fred grabs it off. Is that gonna be safety precaution number two? Don't eat crude oil that looks like chocolate syrup.

SPEAKER_00

Might have to be.

SPEAKER_01

If it happens again next week, okay, all right, next week, everybody. All right.

SPEAKER_00

Um this is where they decide to lay their trap. So Shaggy using his expert vocal abilities. Hey, where has Shaggy not been an expert in what he's done in this series so far? He's the swingingest gymnast in school. In that same episode, he throws his voice to make a to make a knight think he's hiding in a pot. Um he expertly somehow manages to be a you know a magician's assistant for a sawing and half trick.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Because yeah, usually you have to be prepped in advance on that trick, to know, like, yeah, you're supposed to scrunch up in just half the box.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I mean, it's the wonders of animation. Scooby-Doo Logic doesn't have to make wait, maybe that's why there's flower in the basement with Scooby-Doo Logic. It doesn't have to make sense.

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, maybe we figured it out. It doesn't have to make sense.

SPEAKER_00

But anyways, so again, Shagey using his vocal abilities imitates a train over the microphone while Scooby is, you know, moving a rail car with a headlight attached to it. Yep. Making the miner think that a train is coming through this abandoned mine.

SPEAKER_01

Abandoned.

SPEAKER_00

I guess we never said that the mon the villains in Scooby-Doo were all that smart, did we?

SPEAKER_01

No, we never did. I guess we can mention that now. They're not very smart.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Um the trap, for the most part, works as intended.

SPEAKER_01

It does work as a tool.

SPEAKER_00

Until Scooby is unable to stop and crashes into the tool shed that they had locked him in, which apparently is just a small bit of the mine floor where there's a then a drop.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um the miner is holding on to the cliff. Scooby's holding onto the miner's boots, where they slip off. Scooby falls on the ground. Hopefully, it was not that far of a drop.

SPEAKER_01

I thought it wasn't, but it looks like it might have been. Yeah. But I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

In which we see that the miner is wearing stilts and Fred's infinite knowledge of deduction points to like, well, this can only be one short person we met. Can only be one person.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

I think the fact that, you know, Hank and the ghost dressed exactly the same.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, why wouldn't why wouldn't you figure that out? Oh, hey, he's dressed up exactly like Hank was, wouldn't it have been Hank? But then he's wearing stilts. I thought that made it more understandable than they wouldn't have known right away.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. Um after Hank is arrested, which we don't see him arrested.

SPEAKER_01

No, he's just gone. Yeah. We don't know what happened to him.

SPEAKER_00

You know, we end with the gang talking to Big Ben, in which, you know, they're explaining to him, you know, what Hank was was doing, which essentially boiled down to trying to scare him off so that he could cash in on all of the oil. Again, you wouldn't have had this problem if you would have just, you know, maybe, hey, I just found oil here. Why don't we go into business together? Now we're both rich.

SPEAKER_01

He wanted the money for himself. That's usually how it goes.

SPEAKER_00

Usually.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. Wanted all the money for himself.

SPEAKER_00

Um. While they're doing that, Scooby is on the stilts picking some apples, in which he steps in a gopher hole. Yep. Falls into a water trough with two apples. Shaggy mentions that one of those apples better be for him.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

And then we cut the black end credits.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

The you know, this was a again, a surprisingly fast episode. Um it was.

SPEAKER_01

Or it seemed very fast. I don't know. It seemed kind of weird how fast it was, where the other ones weren't as fast as that one, but that's kind of weird.

SPEAKER_00

But because it's like I even Hassel in the Castle, like felt like it took longer to watch that one than it did.

SPEAKER_01

Well, that's part of that's probably our least favorite. That might be why. Just because it was kind of you know, not not.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but a lot of like I think a lot of like what happens in that episode is like it's there and it's memorable. Right. But it serves no purpose.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Whereas here not really a lot happens like that extends the episode further.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And anything that is here that really wouldn't have needed to be just goes by so quickly.

SPEAKER_01

It does.

SPEAKER_00

Um but anyways, that was our recap of the episode. We have some more responsibilities for for everything. So how do we want to start with our responsibilities? Oh boy. Um, that's a good question. Because I think we may have some differing opinions on some things here.

SPEAKER_01

We might. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And again, it's not because either of us hate this episode, or anything like we both enjoy this episode a lot. Um, and I think where we might have some differing opinions might just be because of personal choices. It might be, okay. So let's start with our Scooby Snack intake. Because this we can agree with. This we can agree with. Um because it's just a regular number and average.

SPEAKER_01

It's just a regular number, doesn't it?

SPEAKER_00

You know, Scooby was bribed with two Scooby Snacks this week.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

So we now have a total of eight Scooby snacks throughout the Scooby. We are still averaging two episodes per um.

SPEAKER_01

Two snacks.

SPEAKER_00

Two snacks per episode. Not two episodes per snack.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I that doesn't mean two episodes. Well, I mean, then we're half we're already there. Alright.

SPEAKER_00

Live recording, everybody. Right. So yeah, we're still not quite up to the six.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, we're not up to the six per episode. So I don't know how they're getting that, but I guess we'll we'll see what happens as we go through the series.

SPEAKER_00

Episode four of 25.

SPEAKER_01

Alright, so we've got 21 more episodes to go. We'll see how much more that goes up per episode. We'll see what happens.

SPEAKER_00

Right. You know, it you know, it will depend on you know if we get it where he gets bribed more than once.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that is we'll have to put that into account if that happens. That might happen.

SPEAKER_00

So there, there's that. Um what's on the what's on the to-do list for the next let's do the trap list.

SPEAKER_01

Oh boy, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Because I think we can this one I think we can both have easy agreements on.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Um, so currently on our list of unnamed trapper paintings.

SPEAKER_01

All right.

SPEAKER_00

At number one, so far the best trap has been the better mouse trap from Hassel in the Castle. Yep. That is the ridiculous Rube Goldbergian machine that Fred puts together with a suit of armor, a spring, a cannonball, and an old crossbow. Yep.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Um number two, we've got the instant suds, which was the ridiculous soap coming through a fire hose that they decided to let go while it was turned on.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Well, and then you left Shaggy oh by himself holding it, so he's in midair trying to work with it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Um, so we've got fake train. That's what I'm calling this one.

SPEAKER_01

That sounds like that sounds pretty comfortable. All right.

SPEAKER_00

How do we want where should we rank this one?

SPEAKER_01

Oh. I don't think it's better than it's not.

SPEAKER_00

It's not better than better mouse.

SPEAKER_01

I don't think it'd be better than it's not.

SPEAKER_00

Nothing is gonna be better than the better mouse train. I don't think so.

SPEAKER_01

I don't think so.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so I do think this is better than instant. Yeah, this actually works if they would have figured out how to get Scooby to stop.

SPEAKER_01

Alright, so it is now number two.

SPEAKER_00

It is number two.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. So fake train is before instant suds, but after a better mouse train.

SPEAKER_00

Yep.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think I think that one we can agree on. That's the it's a good trap, but not as good as a better mouse. But it's better than instant suds. Yes, I honestly.

SPEAKER_00

Besides episode one, which had no trap. No, I don't think there's going to be a worse trap than instant suds.

SPEAKER_01

I don't think so.

SPEAKER_00

That being said, I do not remember a lot of the traps that we are eventually going to get. For all I know, I think there might be some episodes where we get no trap.

SPEAKER_01

There might be. Just like the first episode, but we'll see how many how many don't I have them? We'll have to do a tally of how many don't have to.

SPEAKER_00

Right. So uh monster or episode? What should we rank next?

SPEAKER_01

Oh let's do monster. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Alright, our manifest of monsters. It is currently sitting at number one is the ghost of Captain Cutler. Yep. Number two is the Black Knight Ghost. Yep. And number three is just Ghost. The ghost. The Vasquez Castle Ghost.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Which looks like just a person in a sheet.

SPEAKER_01

It's probably what it is, because he had it like that.

SPEAKER_00

Now, what are your thoughts on Minor 49er?

SPEAKER_01

I mean, I I would say he's he's before the Black Knight, but not. He's like number two. I don't think he's better than Captain. Unless you think I'm wrong.

SPEAKER_00

Um so this is where part of our disagreement might start coming.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, alright. What do you think?

SPEAKER_00

First, I am not going to argue against how iconic the Minor 49er is as a villain.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

I get as we talked about at the end of last week.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

You know, he's one of the monsters that was popular enough and iconic enough that was a big part of the second live-action Scooby-Doo movie where they were showing a lot of the iconic Scooby-Doo monsters. Like we had Tar Monster, we had the Black Knight, we had Captain Cutler, we had the zombie.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um, you know, so you know, this is an iconic villain.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

But honestly, I think the costume is lazier than Vazcas Castle's ghost.

SPEAKER_01

You think it's lazier than Vascade? I actually do. I I think the ghost would be lazier. It's just a sheet over some money.

SPEAKER_00

But this, the guy is just wearing his regular clothes plus stilts and a fake beard and hat.

SPEAKER_01

Well, at least he had the stilts.

SPEAKER_00

Like, honestly, the fact they couldn't think I can okay. I can forgive them not figuring it out sooner.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Because for all, you know, Hank could have just been wearing what, you know, an old-time prospector may have worn for uh authentic guest ranch business choice. Okay. I can forgive that. But also if there had been more people in the actual town. The fact that there's only two people in the entire town, one of them is dressed exactly like the ghost.

SPEAKER_01

No. Um, okay, fine. It'll be number four. We'll make it be number four, then, even though I think it should be I thought it would be at least before the ghost at least.

SPEAKER_00

That being said, I can agree, you know. I think, you know. I think one, I think we're a little too hard on ghost.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Just because it's like, I mean, very late, like, it looks like a lazy man's ghost, just a person in a bed sheet.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Um. Whereas, you know, black knight we have black knight above ghosts, and that's just a suit of armor. Well, at least it's a suit of armor versus a um, so no, like I can I will I will agree. Okay, well, we can put, you know, the minor 49er up at number two.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, you're really gonna do this. You really want to do that?

SPEAKER_00

I can I will accept that. Like, I mostly I wanted to vent about how lazy his costume does look, but he is an iconic ghost. Right.

SPEAKER_01

So you're gonna have to update your list once we get in, huh? Err. There you go.

SPEAKER_00

Ah.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Alright.

SPEAKER_00

So now it's time for the table of spooks, you guys.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, table of spooks.

SPEAKER_00

How many Scooby Snacks do you personally give this episode?

SPEAKER_01

You really want my first. Yours is probably gonna be less than mine. I would I mean, it's a to me, it's a really good episode. I mean, I I would this one probably for me would be the five stars because it's okay.

SPEAKER_00

No, and I I can respect that obviously know we're gonna be biased. Right. Our favorite episodes are probably we are probably gonna sit here and argue that they are five out of fives.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

I would give the me personally, I would give this a four. Okay, I can um it's not it's I can accept that. It's not a terrible episode. It's the big downside for me is like it's over so quickly. So quickly, yeah. Um that it's like it's one of those shows that's you can put on like, oh wow, 25 or 22 minutes is already done.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

Um but no, like it is a fun, enjoyable episode. Um that it's got some of that iconic Scooby humor you would expect, you know, shady and Scooby asking for something, it's suddenly magically appearing, and it takes them a bit before they decide to freak out.

SPEAKER_01

It does take them a bit before.

SPEAKER_00

Um yeah, I think you know, if you're okay with giving it a four, I think a nice solid four. No, I I can respect that because you know which I think then puts this at like our second four of an episode.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Because I think um going off the top of my head, I'm um I can pull up the list later and let you guys know next week if you really want to know.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

Um but I think uh Clue for Scooby-Doo, which is another personal favorite of ours, I think that also got a four.

SPEAKER_01

That might have, yeah. Just the iconic um gives it more of the rating than anything else. Or if there's something really funny in the episode or like some funny funny.

SPEAKER_00

I think for me what stops it from being like a five out of five perfect episode is just the small bits that we skipped over in our in the recap, because it added nothing, was when Daphne somehow fell down a hole and Scooby went to pull her up. Yep. He actually pulls up the minor before dropping him, and then we see Daphne standing outside of the hole.

SPEAKER_01

No one interrupting on their own.

SPEAKER_00

It's it's it served no purpose other than you guys you just caught the villain. You could have unmasked it right there. What'd you guys what are you guys doing?

SPEAKER_01

What are you guys doing? I thought you were mystery solvers. Why didn't you just unmask them right there? Because Frank can just pulled it right off like he usually does. He could have just pulled them off and we could have been done already. And not have to worry about doing all this other stuff. But you know, I mean, we had to have the right time and the right moment, you know, and this apparently wasn't it.

SPEAKER_00

Right. So that is it for this week, I think.

SPEAKER_01

I'm pretty sure that's it. We got a good handle on that one.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Um there's this wow, guys, this was really short this week. Um short episode, short podcast. Only other thing, um this is going to be old news by the time you all hear this. Um but I guess we can talk about it for a little bit now. Um recently within as of recording, within the last couple of weeks before we sat down to record this, it was announced that McKenna Grace will be playing Daphne in Netflix's live-action Scooby-Doo adaptation.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Um so I think she's going to do a good job. I think so.

SPEAKER_01

I think so too.

SPEAKER_00

There's not a lot of stuff I can think of off the top of my head that I've seen her in. I know I've seen her in Ghostbusters Afterlife, and I thought she did a good job with her role there. So hey, she's got the Ghostbuster.

SPEAKER_01

Right. She sees the mystery solving down, then we all set.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Um I'm going to be very curious as to who they cast in for the rest of the mystery ink and how well that chemistry will then work. Um I don't think they've said anything on what the whole plot synopsis will be for.

SPEAKER_01

I don't think they released it yet.

SPEAKER_00

That's not I I think right now all that we know is McKenna Grace will be playing Daphne and Matthew Lillard has some form of involvement.

SPEAKER_01

Right, but we don't know what it's gonna be.

SPEAKER_00

At this point, my guess is it's probably going to be a not exactly a cameo, but he's probably gonna have like a big part as a supporting character.

SPEAKER_01

That probably sounds about right.

SPEAKER_00

But we'll find out when the rest of you guys find out.

SPEAKER_01

Right? Yep, that'll be um so yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Next week we've got decoy for a dog napper. Which what I would say is one of the more problematic ghosts of more problematic ghosts. And not problematic because that's a terrible ghost. Um you know, spoilers for next week. It's um, I believe there's some Native American appropriation with the ghost, which I think that yeah. Which again is where nowadays it might be a little insensitive, problematic.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

Um But you know, that's what you get when you're watching something that was made back in the in the late 60s. 69, 70.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

Um because yeah, r we are still within the episodes that were airing at the the last couple of months of 1969. I don't think we get to the 70s until we get to that one to be season two.

SPEAKER_01

I believe so.

SPEAKER_00

Um No, um A Night of Fright of No Delight was January of Okay. So like which is I believe the second to last episode of season one.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Um so but yeah, you know, six 6970, like, you know.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

Some of these episodes have aged better than others, like going back to a night afraid of no delight, like when that episode first aired, the whole counterfeit money reveal at the end of the fortune being that, yeah, you know, back yeah, back in the 70s, you know, Confederate money wasn't worth anything um it at that point. But whereas nowadays, like serious like coin collectors and you know, other collectors of you know, Civil War area memorabilia, like, yeah, that actually would be worth something nowadays. Yeah. Um but we will touch more on that within the many weeks after this where we actually watch that episode and its accompanying episode.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Probably more in the actual Scooby episode.

SPEAKER_01

Probably.

SPEAKER_00

Um, so until next time, guys, just remember, do not light dynamite thinking that it's a candle. Or think that or think oil is chocolate syrup. It's uh it's kind of nice that oil is not the same color as chocolate syrup.

SPEAKER_01

But yet someone thought it was chocolate syrup.

SPEAKER_00

Most o actually, most oil nowadays seems to actually be very light in color, not like the dark uh chocolatey brown that chocolate syrup is.

SPEAKER_01

Well, but Shaggy when he thought it was chocolate syrup. Right.

SPEAKER_00

And just remember, guys, they would have gotten away with it too.

SPEAKER_01

If it weren't for those meddling kids.
