SPEAKER_00

Hi, I'm B. And I'm Morgan. And welcome to our podcast where we talk about the truly random and sometimes unbelievable things that happen in our lives. Sorry. We will sit here and try and get a buzz while you listen and judge. Normal life drama or straight up trauma? Uh it's still just trauma. I think I broke Morgan. It's okay.

SPEAKER_03

A little bit. Um trigger warnings. Yeah, here's our trigger warnings. This is what's gonna happen. We have to get through this. You're gonna hear Hoshi. Hoshi is very loved. He is not neglected. He is just a needy little boy. He says hello. He is probably gonna be in the background of this entire episode. There's a way that we can mess with the word too. However, just in case. Just in case. It's a part of our trigger warnings right now. On top of sarcasm booze, swearing, sickness, mental health, physical health, breakdowns, crash outs. I've already had like three of those today. You know, possible mentions of blood, vomit, and cheaters.

SPEAKER_00

This podcast is not suitable for children. If you choose to watch this podcast with your child, I am not responsible for the therapy that they may or may not require afterwards.

SPEAKER_03

Give them shots of apple juice if they're gonna drink with us.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. It's how it helps. Sure.

SPEAKER_00

Anywho today we are gonna talk about and again, there's no nice or easy way to say this. The Bachelor Trip from Hell.

SPEAKER_03

It is a two-part episode. We have The Bachelor from Hell and The Wedding. The Wedding. All featuring the tornado.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so the first issue with this bachelorette party is that the location changed like six or seven times.

SPEAKER_03

I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. Okay, so for those who couldn't see, I did it, I did it. She said six, seven. I did the hand thing. I regret a little bit, but not much. She really doesn't. I don't regret a ton today.

SPEAKER_00

Not at all. Anywho. Okay. Um, so first it was gonna be a Blackhawk.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, so gambling.

SPEAKER_00

And that that's that's not a terrible location, but it was one of those where I was like, I mean, you know, your battery at party is like the one time that you can force people to go wherever you want.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, and like if they to quote people, if they love you, they'll pay that amount.

SPEAKER_00

Well, and it wasn't even about being super expensive. It was just more of a please don't spill your drink everywhere.

SPEAKER_02

It's fine. Even the cat said no. It's fine. Continue.

SPEAKER_00

Anyway, so it was more of a like, are we going there because that's where you want to go, or are we going there because you don't want to like and it was convenient. Yeah, like is it is it of convenience, or is that like because for all I know, you could really like Blackhawk. Like, there's no I basically live in Vegas and I don't gamble, so you know, like again, to each its own. Um so I was like, hey, like, you know, again, I said I explained this all to the tornado. And so then she just she thought about it and she's like, you know what, you're right. I want to do Salem, Massachusetts, because like I'm into all that spooky stuff. And I was like, you know what, that makes that makes a lot of sense. Except for a great time to go. She wanted to go in October.

SPEAKER_03

Not a great time to go. Very busy, very expensive, very touristy.

SPEAKER_00

So, like, if you're gonna do Salem for this is a tip for any of you at home. If you're gonna do Salem, Massachusetts for Halloween, especially Halloween weekend, you need to book a year in advance because they won't let you book before a year in advance. I checked.

SPEAKER_03

I was gonna say, but that's probably at like a minimum a year.

SPEAKER_00

They won't let you book before that. Oh, okay. So, like a year in advance, you have to have like hand on the trigger, you know who is in. You have you know who's in, you have the money. It's like the rock where he's like, Are you in?

SPEAKER_03

Are you you you have you have to know.

SPEAKER_00

You have to know if you're in or out, and you have to commit a year in advance. Like, there is no it's again, it's like the Hunger Games. Like, in order to get a decent hotel that's not gonna cost a kidney, like you need to be prepared.

SPEAKER_03

Listen, you even then it's still gonna cost half a kidney. Like, you have two kidneys, you can live with one. You shouldn't. But you could, which could.

SPEAKER_00

Anywho.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, so that's two places.

SPEAKER_00

So that's two. Then we decided we didn't we we decided that's too expensive, it's unrealistic, which which is fair. But like that genuinely was an an okay assumption. Then it changed to a cruise. It was gonna be a his and her bachelor-bachelorette cruise.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, yeah, so then everyone's there, everyone's enjoying, and you can do different activities separate.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. Um, I don't know what happened with that, but then that that didn't happen anymore. And then it was going to be um she didn't want to plan it, so me and the man of honor were talking at, I think, the bridal shower. Okay. And because his uh his partner um had hotel connections. Gotcha. So we were talking about like other possibilities. Um so Vegas got thrown out there, Cancun got thrown out there, like there there was some some talk about going to like all inclusive, like, you know, places and things like that.

SPEAKER_03

Listen, if you're gonna travel and you're gonna do it for uh like a bachelorette bachelor party, make it all inclusive.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that and that was kind of the logic. Um, but then we all got the text that we could not travel very far for this bachelorette. Oh um we did not want to travel. We did not want uh oh, and then uh there was twain with like a hot spring idea before this. Um we were told no hot tubs, no travel, okay, no uncooked meat or something.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know. So it's meat because it was like a medical there was a medical issue that popped up.

SPEAKER_00

Um so we said uh okay, that's fine, I guess. Like, you know, that works. Um then we all we all had picked a time, it was like the week before Thanksgiving, because it was just easier for people to get leave.

SPEAKER_03

And like that's just easier to get everyone together.

SPEAKER_00

Everyone can because everyone should in theory be off and it wouldn't cost extra leave days, so like you're not you're not using PTO to go to the trip. Yeah, and um, and we we talked about that a couple months in advance. Well, it was getting closer and closer and closer and closer.

SPEAKER_03

And you guys had already talked for months to get it done.

SPEAKER_00

Nobody was responding in the group chat. Like we had a bridal party group chat, and for the life of me, no one would respond in that damn chat.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, and here was a what's even funnier is you hate group chats.

SPEAKER_00

I really do, but I responded.

SPEAKER_03

Like that's what you have one. And we all hate it, but we have it because it's just easier when we're all talking about the same thing.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, there's no point in sending the same thing to 12 different people when you all talk.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

We do not have a group chat that big, I would kill myself.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god, I'd be so upset. Um three is still too many. Suicide is not a joke. I'm so sorry.

SPEAKER_00

But anyway, um, but yeah, as it was getting closer and closer, like me and the Maid of Honor, we were like, okay, guys, like we need to decide what we're doing because everything's either gonna book up or be astronomical, like no matter what we do. Yeah, at that point. We need to decide what we're doing. We need to do it right now. Yeah. Because how far away were you from the wedding? The bachelorite was supposed to happen, and I think the around Thanksgiving, the wedding was the first week of December. Yeah, okay, yeah, no, that should there was mm-nope. So we are getting closer and closer and closer and closer, and you know how I get stressed when there's not a plan.

SPEAKER_03

Well, and a time crunch and a plan and it was bad.

SPEAKER_00

It was so bad. I was so, so, so, so, so, so stressed. Well, anyway, finally, the bride puts her foot down and she's like, we are doing this. We're going to like a cabin um at some place. I don't know what it was. Like, we're going to a cabin on this this res no state park. I don't know. We're going to this cabin. Anyone that wants to come in, like, give me the money by Monday. Like, this is what we're doing. I'm renting a cabin for this weekend. That's it. Like, you're in or you're out. And so I had messaged her privately and I was like, hey, nobody's really responding. Like, are you like if nobody else wants to go, are you sure that this is what you want to do? And she's like, Yes, absolutely, 100%. I was like, okay, that's fine. I just want to make sure because, like, again, nobody is responding except for me and Broken. Oh, poor Broken. Um, she's like, no, no, no, this is what I really want. And I was like, okay, cool. Like, whatever, stay less. Still, nobody, nobody responded. What the hell? So me and Broken were talking on the side, and we were just like, okay, like this is really shitty. Like, we need to make this weekend all about her. How do we make it more special? Um, I don't think a cabot, like a lodge is realistic for like four people, because you know, that's the only four that were like really responding in the group chat. So we were like, hey, like, why don't we come together and get like an Airbnb in the same area, but like not on like the campgrounds.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, so then that way it's it's cosier and yeah. When you're dealing with medical problems too.

SPEAKER_00

You can explain it, like the cost split four four or five ways would have been cheaper reasonable than trying to do four or five ways in a bigger place. Um, so we said, okay, we did that. Mama booked it, and then we sent it in the group chat, and then all of a sudden it was an issue, and that's not what I wanted to do, and nobody listens to me, and blah blah blah. And I'm like, what? Wait, pump the brakes. What are you talking about? I asked you three times if this is what you wanted, and you said yes. She's like, Well, apparently, she's like, I had said that I just want like a movie and movie night with dinner, and I was like, nowhere do I have this information, like not once was this related to me.

SPEAKER_03

Because then it would have been just that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, well, and also when she finally had said that to Broken, I thought it was because nobody was responding in the group chat and she was just defeated. Okay. Like, you know what I mean? Where like you come to that realization that like nobody's gonna respond, so like you just pick something, yeah. Um, because we've both done that, yeah. Where it's like, I really wanted to go to Waterworld today, but nobody's responding. So, like, do you want to buy a pole pass and just go to the community pool industry?

SPEAKER_03

And then then everyone suddenly wants to go.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Because they were planning on going, but didn't say anything.

SPEAKER_00

So I was supposed to originally ride down there with the bride because everybody knows that B does not travel in the mountains.

SPEAKER_03

Well, B doesn't travel well anyway.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, obviously, yes, actually, back to why you shouldn't travel with B, but I don't I don't drive in the mountains in the blank period. No. Um, I had a really bad rollover car accident when I was 18, and I cannot handle driving in the mountains. I can be in a car, yeah. Um, usually unconscious.

SPEAKER_03

You I'm listening you can fall asleep just about anywhere.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I was like, I I'm usually unconscious, but um, I cannot physically drive in the mountains. I start to like have full-blown panic attacks. So like I just I cannot do it.

SPEAKER_03

Um note to self, give me Benadryl before we do something like that. Got it. Penadrill knocked me right out. That's what I'm saying. We'll just give it to you, and you'll wake up in a strange place missing a kidney.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, Candy Mountain. Anyway. Speaking of mountains. Anyway. But after we had already booked this, then sh Tornado decides, like, okay, well, since you guys didn't want to listen to me, I'm uh I'm not showing up until 11 o'clock at night.

SPEAKER_03

It was for her.

SPEAKER_00

I'm aware.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

But we we swallowed, we swallowed our anger because like we were the three of us were very upset by this. Not because she wanted to show up later, but because like something she said she really wanted was now turning into like a nightmare. Anyway, so we all get up there, the three of us get up there earlier, and we set this place up. Like I brought snacks for movie night, like a hot cocoa bar situation. The three of us went to Walmart and we got matching pajamas for everyone. Oh, see, that's super nice. Um, we got like bride-to-be banners and like a little like the tiara with the veil. Yeah. Um the whole nine yards. I got uh the bride doesn't drink, so I got um champagne, mini champagne bottles for everyone else, and then like I found the most adorable little mini mini ciders. Oh like uh sparkling ciders for for the bride. Uh we had snacks, like the whole, like we we went all out on decorating this place.

SPEAKER_03

Which is saying a lot for you. I know. Because I've been to those parties.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, like I literally went all out, cost a very pretty penny. Um, I even made goodie bags. I made every everyone got a goodie bag. It had hand sanitizers, a hand lotion, um the matching pajamas we all got. Oh, I do. I remember you making these. Uh what else did I put in there? I put a bunch of chapstick and like um like nail things. But not really like spotting. It was more spotting because it doesn't hang over kit, because like I said, she doesn't drink.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, it was more of like take care of yourself when you want to.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it was like a let's relax and reset kind of vibes. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Weddings are stressful.

SPEAKER_00

Extremely. So her other, so the people that were it was me, Broken, and Mama. We were at the Airbnb. Then the man of honor showed up later. We didn't know that he was showing up this late, but it makes sense because she was only showing up that so he showed up around 10. She shows up at 11 with the groom.

SPEAKER_02

I'm sorry, what? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

He it's a bachelorette. I'm aware. And I have nothing against the groom. It's not that. It's just that one, nobody was informed of this. Actually, that's not true. The man of honor was told the rest of us were not.

SPEAKER_03

So you essentially would have had like an hour if he knew that you guys didn't know.

SPEAKER_00

He didn't tell us. We didn't find out until he showed up in the car. Having met him, he probably didn't even know that you guys didn't know. No, he didn't, because like when we saw him, we were like, wait, what? I was like, oh, uh, wait, uh someone made the comment, like, oh, it's so sweet of you to drop her off, because they do share a car. Yeah. So we didn't know if she was just gonna take the car for the weekend or what the deal was. And we're like, oh, you drove her all the way up here to drive all the way back. Like, that's so sweet. And that's when he informed us that he was staying, and we were like, What?

SPEAKER_03

That would have been great to know, like six hours ago.

SPEAKER_00

Right? Because I was like, Well, I didn't uh you don't have matching pajamas or a goodie bag. I don't know. You don't have anything. I don't know why you're here, like respectfully, because again, I have nothing against the group. Yeah. But you assume in a bachelorette party it's gonna be all girls except for the occasional gay bestie.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, every time.

SPEAKER_00

Like, and it wasn't like it was an anti-guy situation, but also this Airbnb had a strict person limit, and we are now over it.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, even worse.

SPEAKER_00

And they charge fines for extra people, like hefty fines.

SPEAKER_03

And I bet you they have cameras to see that. They have cameras on the outside.

SPEAKER_00

Um, I think that we lucked out and we didn't get the fine, but that was also a concern.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, they probably checked the cameras and heard some type of argument outside.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. But um, yeah, so like that threw us off. Um again, keep in mind they didn't get there until like 11:30 midnight. Um we stayed up for a little bit, like chit-chatting, talking about like wedding logistics or whatever, and then we all go to bed. Now, this particular Airbnb had the stairway to hell or heaven if you want. It was very cute. Uh-huh. Each stair had like a different book on it. Oh, that is cute. They were short, weren't they? It was a drunk person's nightmare. Oh, good. They were short steps. Short and steep. Oh, even better. Um, I think in my phone I have pictures that we can add the stairs to. I don't want to add too many pictures because I don't, you know. But um, I can definitely show the stairs. And I can show probably the setup of like Yeah, and like the goodie bags. The goodie bags and stuff like that. But um, yeah, it was it was pretty intense. But anyway, so me, Rogan, and mama all were upstairs because we obviously didn't want her to have to climb up the stairs of death. Um, and then everybody else, like the the one other bedroom we gave to the bride and groom now, and then the man of honor slept on the futon couch thing. Uh and then we woke up in the morning and we were gonna do like brunch or whatever. We didn't end up doing brunch. Um we woke up, I wanna say nine or ten-ish.

SPEAKER_03

That's that's early. I mean, I get it.

SPEAKER_00

It was, but we were only there for like the two days. So like we were maximized. Yeah. The issue was that um and we also didn't know where every when everyone else was like, you know. Fair, so yeah, making sure like nine or ten to like even they stayed up super late, so we assumed they would be sleeping, but they weren't. Um they were just, you know, chilling or whatever. And we come downstairs. Now we knew the man of otter had to leave because he had already had other plans that we have. So like he was literally coming up for the one day and then dipping first thing in the morning because he had like a work engagement.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, got it. So he had a lot to do, but he at least showed face.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. And so then we were discussing like how we were gonna spend the day, and the tornado was basically like, I don't know, like let's see how I feel, blah blah blah. And we were like, okay, so the the other three of us, we started to build a puzzle. Well, while we're doing this, we hear her because she's not being quiet, but talking about how she doesn't want to be here. And then and then the groom was like, Well, we don't have to stay if you don't want to. And instead of just being open and honest and saying something, she lies to our face and says that she called in she got called into work when her phone never rang. Uh oh, see you can't do that. And then she's like, Well, I got a text. BS. By the time we were downstairs, their room was packed. And they stripped the bed. And we were like, Why would you strip the bed if you're leaving? And they're like, Well, isn't everybody leaving? No, we paid for the weekend. We're staying the entire weekend.

SPEAKER_02

What in the actual fuck? She was gone by noon.

SPEAKER_03

So she shows up late to her own party, then bitches about how everything is going, brings an extra guest that wasn't planned for, and then decides, nah, I'm good, I'm gonna fucking leave because I don't like it instead of saying something. Okay, that's that's beyond petty. Also, say it with your chest if you're gonna say something. Especially if it's meant for you.

SPEAKER_00

And especially since whatever it was that was making her uncomfortable, we could have pivoted.

SPEAKER_03

We could have changed anything.

SPEAKER_00

And I'm not saying she couldn't have brought the groom, but had she told us that, we could have gotten a different place.

SPEAKER_03

And at least put more like into it to include him with everything. Right. Because there wouldn't have been a problem. It just would have been like, oh, okay, so we gotta pivot and get this and this instead of what you had. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

The audacity. Yep. The audacity of that. And then didn't under like sh to this day never got a thank you for that that bachelor party.

SPEAKER_03

Not even like broken?

unknown

Nope.

SPEAKER_00

Oh no, no, no, no, broke broken, yes, yes, yes, yes. No, but she was part of the whole like we like it was a whole thing.

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

No, but I meant like from the from Tornado. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So Tornado didn't appreciate anything. Oh, okay, okay, cool, cool, cool.

SPEAKER_02

So it wasn't what she wanted. Then tell us. It it was as simple as that, is you just had to say something.

SPEAKER_03

But have having met some of the bridesmaids and one of them pulling a huge uh Houdini act on us, I understand why the group chat was very quiet. Oh, I know. Like there's so much wrong with that.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, and then um so the best part of this whole story is well we're gonna go back to the beginning. At one point, Tornado and Broken were not on seating terms.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, fabulous.

SPEAKER_00

There was a bridal party dinner that we were all going to. That I convinced like me and my me and Broken decided to carpool together. Okay. So we talked about it on the way there. What was going on? What were the frustrations and this, that, and the other? Well, part of the issues that I can speak on, because I I witnessed it, the rest of it's none of my business. But her co-mate of honor was not putting in a lot of effort.

SPEAKER_03

Why were they co- and not just one or the other?

SPEAKER_00

Because the groom also had two best friends. Okay, okay. She wanted to pick her to pick her for family reasons. There was family reasons and childhood bestie.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, okay.

SPEAKER_00

I just and then the the groom also had the same situation. Like he had two people that he couldn't decide between. Okay, fair.

SPEAKER_03

I get it.

SPEAKER_00

Um so but she didn't think that it was fair that she was doing all the work and sharing the credit.

SPEAKER_03

Because she was doing all the work.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. And I was helping her with a lot of it, but I was just bridesmaid.

SPEAKER_03

Which is just kind of your typical for you.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. I'm I'm just used to it. So like I I don't even care about credit anymore. I just go into I go to weddings expecting to be thrown a testing even when I don't know them.

SPEAKER_03

The amount of times uh that we've spoken of and that it has happened.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, like I go to a wedding as a wedding. Actually, I've gone to a wedding as a plus one and it suddenly became part of the the wedding.

SPEAKER_03

Sorry, not sorry.

SPEAKER_00

Case in point. Sorry, not sorry on that one. Um, so like I think because you did it to me first. I think that I've only truly been to like three weddings where I didn't have a role.

SPEAKER_03

I uh in like my whole life. No. I was gonna be like, I can think of one wedding, and no, I still I ended up helping the bride, and uh I was a child then too.

SPEAKER_00

Anyway, um so we all go to this dinner, they make up. She she the tornado understood the frustrations that Broken was having and why she was feeling the way that she was feeling, and she was like, Well, hey, what if I pick a a different co-mate of honor? Would that work? And she's like, Well, I mean, I don't know, it like really depends because like essentially Broken wanted to maybe just be a bridesmaid and just not have all the responsibilities. Yeah, she wasn't getting any help, essentially.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it would have been easier, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And uh Tornado was like, Well, what if I pick a different co-mate of honor? And she was like, Yeah, sure. Like, it depends on who it is, though. Yeah, I I don't want a different title and like the same problem.

SPEAKER_03

Because that's just compromising and making it work.

SPEAKER_00

At that dinner, she's like, Well, what if I make it B? And she was like, Great, love it, because she's been helping me anyway. Yeah, I was not a co-made of honor. Someone else was I don't understand anymore. And I didn't find this out. Actually, both of us didn't find this out until the uh the wedding website came out with the titles.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, even better. Yeah, but purposely.

SPEAKER_00

I I still helped broken with her half.

SPEAKER_03

Well, yeah, uh one, it's your personality type, and two, you were already committed at that point.

SPEAKER_00

It is what it is. And like again, I don't care about the credit, but you could have at least had a conversation.

SPEAKER_03

The conversation at least needed to happen.

SPEAKER_00

I didn't need to find out on a wedding once. But it is what it is. Uh, we had a time. I mean, honestly, uh after everybody abandoned us, we finished a puzzle.

SPEAKER_03

Oh like a whole ass like thousand piece at least. See, I love it though, because that just means you work.

SPEAKER_00

I think I actually have a picture of the puzzle too that we can post.

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Um then we went and explored. I want to say Manitou Springs. I could be horribly wrong, broken, don't yell at me. Um I think it was Manitou Springs, is where we were. I think. I want to say yes. Yeah. Because I remember like pieces of things. Yeah, we explored like the little town or whatever, but like I was salty the rest of the trip and not at them. But it's okay because on the way home we found this really great Polish place that had pierogies. I was better.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, yeah, pierogies for you solve everything. It has cheese and potatoes.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Also, I can if I order them four days in advance, I can get pierogies to go. I can like home pierogies. So I still need to do that.

SPEAKER_03

Uh speaking of, because it was too funny. So we did lunch. Because this we're done with the bachelorette.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, we're done with bachelorette.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. So so we did lunch today.

SPEAKER_00

Are you gonna call me out for the cheese? Oh, I'm so calling you out for the cheese.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, go on. So we are eating, we're discussing what we're gonna talk about and how everything's gonna go for the next little bit that we have everything. It's time to go because I see a giant group of people coming in with a ton of kids. Bean, I need to go. We need to ASAP. So we get our boxes. Put my stuff away, and all I hear is I'm taking all the cheese. I had fajitas. She had fajitas and she looked at the waitress and went, This bowl of cheese is not gonna be enough cheese for me. So they gave her a plate of cheese.

SPEAKER_00

Like a legit plate of cheese, like a scoop of sour cream.
