SPEAKER_00Merry Christmas and welcome to Life, Finance, and Real Estate with your girl Kirby the Realtor. On today of all days, we need to pause to remember the greatest gift ever given. His name is Jesus. See, Jesus is the reason we have hope. He's the reason we can believe for more. And he is the reason we don't have to do life alone in this mean old world. So if you're listening today, this may be a moment that you are in your car, maybe a moment you're running to the store for last-minute groceries. The stores might be closed though. You may be in your kitchen, you may be surrounded by family, or maybe you're just sitting in your thoughts. But today, let's just pause and remember Jesus. Because without him, there would be no us. Christmas is a beautiful day, but it's also a reflective day for me. It's a day where I can actually sit and think and just look at my family, look at the gift of life. Because you know, I think about Mary when she birthed Jesus, the greatest gift of all, the gift that keeps on giving. So if you're alone this Christmas season, or if you're you're um thinking about your loved ones that have gone on, just take a moment and breathe. It's okay to grieve. And I can't tell you that grief is not hard because it is, but let's also just take a moment to be thankful for where we are today. Today's conversation, we're not gonna rush. I don't want you to feel pressured, but it's not about getting to the closing table, it's not about holding the keys to deeds, it's not about buying stocks, it's not about investing, it's about ownership, and I'm not meaning owning a home. When I say ownership, I'm talking about owning your life, owning your mindset, only your direction. Because before you ever unwrap a gift, before you ever make any resolutions, before you ever step into something new, ownership has to start in the mind. Like you have to make up in your mind that you're gonna do something. You're gonna do something. You have to make up in your mind that you're gonna do it. When you make that up in your mind, then the sky's the limit. This is life, finance, and real estate with your girl Kirby the Realtor. And today we're gonna talk about how to move from wishing to actually ownership. But we're gonna start by picking up where we left off last week. And we had a question last week that came in that says, um, what's the first step into financial ownership? And I know my answer surprised a lot of people because I didn't say credit, I did not say income, I didn't say buying a house. Um, I just said write it down. You know, the Bible tells us to write the vision, make it plain. So write it down when you write it down and you can actually see clarity comes. And I need you to remember that clarity always comes before ownership. Because at that point of clarity, you're refining your mindset. So if you didn't catch episode one, we talked about how ownership doesn't start at the closing table, it doesn't start when you get the deed, it doesn't start when you get the keys, it starts in your mind. So today we're gonna dig a little deeper because as I was thinking about mindset and and ownership and and changing the way that we think, I think about conversations I've had in the past with people in my circle, and oftentimes I will hear them say, I hope, I wish one day, I hope, I wish, I hope I can do this, I wish I can do that. Let me tell you something. I'm gonna tell you just like I tell them. Hope and wishing is not a strategy. Hope and wishing is not a strategy. That's exactly what it is. It's a hope and it's a wish. How do you get from hoping and wishing to strategy? You gotta do something. You gotta do something. What does something look like? Well, some of you have things you want in life, and you got to get out of your comfort zone to get something different. Get out of that comfort trap. We're so stuck in comfort, we're stuck with just believing like uh if it's not broke, don't fix it, or this works for me, but you're still stuck, you're still feeling like I'm not growing, I'm not advancing because you're stuck in your comfort trap. You're okay working a nine to five. Not saying anything's wrong with working nine to five, but a lot of people want so much more in life, but they're not willing to step out of the comfort zone. Comfort is an illusion that says, I'm gonna be okay anyway, without any changes, I'm not gonna make any changes and I'm gonna be okay. That is strictly an illusion. It's such an illusion that you become delusional because you believe it. I'm sorry, I had to laugh because when I think about it, an illusion, you're iluding that everything is fine the way it is, when in essence it's not, but you believe it so much so that you become delusional. Listen, you can't go anywhere in life if you don't do anything different with the same thinking where you are now. You just can't do it. There's no way, even biblically, it tells us that you can't put new wine into old wineskins. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I'm sorry. You can't put old wine into new wineskins. Did I say that right? I gotta think, y'all. No, you can't put new wine into old wineskins. Because old wineskins are dried up, so when you start putting new wine into your old wineskins, they they're gonna burst. The skins are gonna bust, they're gonna burst open. So, what does that have to do with your mindset? What does that have to do with a hope and intuition? Well, new wine skin means a new way of thinking. See, your thinking got you here, where you are right now, where you are right now in life, your thinking got you there. The same thinking is not gonna get you where you want to go with those hopes and those wishes that you have. Your thinking is not gonna get you there. What will get you there is taking actions. What actions? Actions, actions, actions. What are actions? What does that look like? Well, maybe I need to learn a new trade, maybe I need to learn a new skill, maybe I need to do something different, maybe I need to look at my financials more, maybe I need to make sure I can get this loan, open this business, but I need to look at my financials to make sure I do whatever I need to do to get there. That's taking action. See, a person says, I wish I could, uh, everybody ain't able. That's the that's that famous thing when people see you have things that they won't because they hoping to wish everybody ain't able. I wish I can buy me a house. I wish I can do this. See, let me tell you something. If you're renting, nothing wrong with renting. But if you're renting and you can pay eight, twelve, fifteen hundred dollars a month, yeah, you can buy whatever you want to buy. How do you do that? Stop wishing, stop hoping, go sit down with a lender, go sit down with a real estate agent. They can give you guidance and direct you to the right people. Go sit down with a financial advisor. And I need you to perform a diagnostics on your finances, on your life. Get a financial diagnostics, get a real estate agent, get a banker, get a financial advisor, get somebody that's gonna tell you what you need to do so you can buy the house, so that you can invest in stocks, so that you can open the business. But you gotta get in front of those people, you gotta ask the questions and do what's necessary. And if they say you're not ready, take six months to a year to prepare to get there. That way you can stop hoping, that way you can stop wishing and just start being an owner. See, action, action, action. Get rid of the in 2026. I need y'all to get rid of the hope words, the wish words, and say, I'm gonna take action. I'm gonna create a strategy. Get around people who understand strategy so that you can learn strategy. Listen to shows like Life, Finance, and Real Estate so you can get the real action steps you need. Because guess what? Some may argue, but there's not one person out here smarter than the next. Because nobody has a lock on good ideas. The only difference with success, with people that have success most times, are the people who procrastinate never take action. And the people who take action, they take action. That's the only difference. Oftentimes I hear people say, I'ma do this, I'm gonna do that, and they they organize everything. They get everything in line, they put, they get calendars, they they just get everything in line, organizing it for what? For nothing, to take no action. If I can get you guys, if I can get you guys, like I talked about last week week, to move your mindset from hoping and wishing to being an action taker, then we're making some progress. Move your mindset from I can't own a home to I can own a home with the proper information. Move your mindset from I can't own a business to yes, I can, if I have a business owner's mindset. But you can't go into business hoping. You've got to go into business with a strategy. You can't go into a business trying to do something without following the rules, the regulations, and the systems. You've got to learn the system. Take out time, invest in yourself, invest in your business. See, a lot of times people don't want to spend the money to get where they need to be. Sometimes you may have to hire a consultant, sometimes you may have to hire a business coach. But instead, people like to just try to rush into business without properly preparing. They don't have a strategy, they just hop into it and think it's gonna work all by itself, and that's just not the way it goes. So, what am I saying? I'm saying that hoping and wishing is not a strategy, you're just being delusional. See, a lot of people right now are living lives of quiet desperation, quiet desperation because they don't see a way to get from where they are and where they want to go. But you can, you can do it. I'm a living proof that you can do it if you change your mindset, if you change how you see your life, you can do it. Here's the thing when you change the things you see, the things you see start changing right before your very eyes because you shifted your mindset, guys. Listen, you know, my financial advisor told me one time, he said, You ain't got no money problem, you have an idea problem. The question is, which idea can make you money? So, ladies and gentlemen, I need you to get past your doubts right now. I need you to get past your doubts, have some faith, understand that God will deliver, He will deliver every time He don't fail, He does not fail. God does not fail. Listen, I I don't want to get too biblical here, but here's the truth. Mark 9 and 23 says, if you only believe. Now listen at this. This is what I call the A B part of your faith. Mark 9 and 23 says, if you only believe. John 14, 14 says, if you ask anything in my name, I would do it. He didn't say I would think about it. He said, I will do it. So what what are you asking God for? What what do you believe him? Are you asking, what are you asking him for? Now see, the B part, it's my favorite part because it's the most important part. But whatever you're asking God for is not just gonna drop out the sky. You have to do the most important part, and James tells us that faith without works is dead. Faith without works is dead. You can have all the faith in the world, but if you don't put any action behind this faith, it's dead. Ain't nothing gonna happen. Yes, manna fell from the sky. It did, but those people put in the work, they put in the work, and when I say they put in the work, they prayed, they fasted, they asked God, and God heard them. He saw, he saw the work they put in. So in Mark, you believed, you asked and John. Now James says you gotta do your part. You gotta do your part. Your faith and your belief is the size of a mustard seed, and you can move things in your life, but you've got to take action. The action part, that's not the waste part. The action part is going out and doing something. When you do something, y'all let me tell you something when you start doing the things that are necessary and the things that God told you to do, he always steps in and does the rest, but you gotta do something first. You got to put in some work. You got you can't just pray and ask God to drop it out the sky. He's not gonna do it. He wants to see your effort, he wants to see your effort, he wants to see you take action. Guys, listen, let me apologize if it sounds like I'm on a rant today, but I get tired sometimes. I meet so many talented people, intelligent, smart people, people with skills, and I listen at their ideas, I hear them talking, but they won't take the necessary steps to get where they need to be. See, the number one action step is change of belief. Increase your faith and know that you can do anything you want to with the proper training, the proper information, the proper coaching, and the proper financials. Don't sell yourself short. Today we're gonna finish up this mindset conversation because I need you to get out of your own way. I need you to start thinking ownership, and the first thing you've got to do is own your life. You got to own your thinking and own your faith. And until you get those things straight, the hope and intuition will always be there as a blocker to your success. Because you don't know whose you is. I know that's bad English, and I said it on purpose, but if you don't know who you is, you never you're never gonna understand. You gotta know that you belong to God, you are a child of God, and when you understand what that really means, you know the sky's the limit, your future is the limit, and all you have to do is commit to doing something different. Get out of your way, get out of that comfort trap, be willing to change. In my closing, as they say in church, and this is my only closing. I don't have three, but in my closing, if you change your mindset, you change your thinking. If you change your thinking, you change your strategy. And if you change your strategy, you can change your life. And if you change your strategy, not your hope, not wish, but strategy, you can change your life. Hey guys, it's been real. It's your girl Kirby, and it's been a good day. It is Christmas. Love on your family. Bye for now. See you soon. I want to close out with this prayer, and I want to take a moment to just say, Father God, we thank you. We thank you for this day, we thank you for life, we thank you for grace, and we thank you for the gift of reflection. God, we ask for clarity for those who are listening. Clarity in their minds, peace in their hearts, and courage to take the next right step. Help us not just to hope, God, but to act, not just to wish, but to steward, and not just to dream, but to own the lives you've entrusted to us. In Jesus' name. Amen. Merry Christmas. See you soon.
