No, I'm actually we got each other's phone number. And he seems like, okay, let me let's see, let's I'm gonna find out if this is a red flag. Okay. Okay, yeah, let's go. Okay, so I know we've talked about red flags, but this is a new one for me. So he talks about how gorgeous I am, you know, just like uh un uncomfortably too much. Oh you know, like I I don't accept those things very well.

Is I like to FaceTime, make sure you're real, make sure you're person, human. Yeah, 100% all the things.

Date Night Turns Hot Fast

I love it because it overlooks water and it's just beautiful. That's the fucking best shrimp I ever ate in my life.

Um, and just it was just kind of romantic, and uh he said a few things to me that it just like sent me over the edge, you know. So I mean, it was just beautiful. It was nice. That's great. That's yeah, that's perfect. Nothing is like hearing that finish up your drink because I want to take you home and fuck the shit out of you. God, you know, love that. Yeah, okay. Yeah, that's I can get on board with that shit. That's absolutely so the pregame was oh, hot and heavy, so it gets better. So we go, uh, we get in the car and we head down the highway because that's about 20 minutes from from where he lives. Um, and anyways, yeah, he starts uh you know funneling the fiddle, if you know what I mean.

It truly is the atmosphere. It's spot on.

Why Friendships Change Over Time

Uh moving on. No, that's great. Um, someday I'll be there, and then I'll have this these bragging rights, and you'll be like, My my relationship's getting stale. I'm like, bitch, mine's just starting. So let's get it. No, I'll be happy for you. Absolutely. No, I'm joking. For real. Yeah. But let's talk about this week's episode. So um let's talk friendships. Yeah. You know, um not only with men, uh, well, we all we both have men friendships and women friendships. Yep. And uh you know, old, new, uh, current, you know, we can go there. So I just wanted to start with you if that's okay. Yeah. Like do you have a friendship you want to share?

Yeah. So I'm actually gonna start with um my longtime friend. Um, I've known her since I was I was literally two years old. She was three at the time. Um this is the one that's in Egypt, correct? Yep. Yes. Anyways, um, so we grew up across the alley. I had just moved into this house. I'm their family now, and we've known each other for over God, I'm my age here, but uh 40 years.

Yeah, she's not my she's not my best friend anymore. She's my she's my family, she's my sister. She ain't going nowhere, no how. Nope. I don't even address her because it's uh it's a long story to try to explain to somebody, yeah, she's not my blood sister, but she is my sister, blah blah blah.

Uh absolutely. So she um has always been a part of my life. Um, good, ugly, great, bad. I mean, all the things. I mean, she's just been there.

Yeah. You know, no, 100%. Yeah. And she's definitely the one that's been there. Her mom has been there too. Um, and then, but also like her grandmas, you know, opened her arms and her and her home to me when I was even a little kid up till the the time that she passed away. I mean, there's just been a lot of history um with this girl. A lot. So um her uncle um was became super best friends with my dad. Um, they were big, huge computer nerds. So that's one thing they she's sorry, Scarlett is pouring from the penis right now. So pretty hard.

Um, so I don't. I I I've been in uh like a lot of good friend great friendships. Okay. Some of them have lasted through the time and some of them don't. Yeah. And uh they did not roll with the changes I've made in my life and the things that have happened and done. And and you know, people change. Um, you know, I had uh a best friend that we'd been best friends since third fucking grade and amazing friendship. Uh you know, we'd we'd had it ups, downs everywhere. We even we went to college together. Uh we even uh were uh dorm mates in college. Um it lasted a really long time, but then I I can't even tell you where it turned, to be honest. It was it was a combination of things, so I can't even really like pinpoint something. Okay. But uh she's no longer in my life, and you know, I always I'm a very um like I hold on to things. Okay. I hold on to everything, honestly. And I have a lot of appreciation for my past and my my history with basically anybody. Okay. So when I think of those things and I I look at old pictures, it makes me like just really sad that I don't have that person in my life anymore and hold on to friendships and the value in them. Yeah. Um, but you know, in in long story short, it not they don't always work out in the times that you're changing in your life and the things that you're doing and absolutely and how you have to do what's best for you in that moment, exactly. So those memories I'll cherish for fucking ever because those are memories I'll never forget. Like that we've good, bad, ugly. Absolutely. So I she's out there and uh she's great and she's a good friend to uh many, uh just not I. Um and it's nothing against her, it's just how our friendship ended and ended up. And um, do you have another friendship? I otherwise I'll we'll talk current, we'll talk past, we'll talk.

The Friend Who Helped Me Heal

Yeah. So um the other one that I want to bring up, um, I'm gonna kind of go from a timeline, I guess, because that's just the way my brain works. Sure. Um, so from there, um, I actually met somebody. Um, and it was when I moved back to my hometown. When I moved back to my hometown, I was in a really, really, really shitty place. Um, so I went out one night. Um, I met this person, this woman. Um, and I'm not one to just run up to somebody and be like, oh my gosh, like I I need to be your friend.

Yeah, I'd say you're you're a tough shell to crack. Yeah. So you know, I'm just it took us a bit, sure.

I'm just not that kind of person. And when I met this person, for some reason, like I just, I was like, you're so beautiful. Like, I just I want to be your friend. And it was so, it was so organic and so real. Um, and she ended up helping me break into uh the house that I was staying in at the time because I locked myself out of shocker, I know. Shocker, I'm not surprised by this. Locked myself. So yeah, she helped me break into my house and climb through the window. And um, she lock your doors, folks.

Um, her son and my daughter are you know fairly close in age and kind of grew up together, too. So I mean, um is there a friendship that you had that you lost?
