But Scarlett is more so, and she really just wants everything to be perfect all the time. And I'm the one that sits back and says, chill the fuck out.

So thankful that that doesn't happen because I couldn't imagine. So short story long, long story short, as we all like to say. So when we were trying to have Daphne on as a guest, we actually pre-recorded, we pre-tested a whole day. We tested five hours. No idea how we fucking tested this. Yeah, five hours and then some.
SPEAKER_01We weren't just trying to get on there.

SPEAKER_02Yes. And everything was we were not willy-nilly with this. No, we were down to the T making sure that there was no background. I mean, I'm telling you, everything was perfect. So fast forward to the next day when when we actually have the appointment to have Daphne on at a certain time. And we literally I got to our recording spot an hour and 15 minutes prior to when it was supposed to happen. Absolutely, you did. And we got into it immediately. We started, you know, putting it on testing everything. It was absolutely literally from the from the get-go. We did not change a thing. Not a thing.
SPEAKER_01And from the actually said that. You're like, don't move a single cord.
SPEAKER_02I did. Do not move. And I did it. And I was like, we're gonna keep it just like this. Yeah. Because it took us so long. It took us. I mean, my god, it was a full fucking time job. Listen, we have so much fun on this. I'm not gonna, we I'm not taking that away by any means. So anybody that's out there looking to start up a podcast, please do it. Just do it. But just know that it is a full-time job. It is, and it's a lot of work. But anyways, but it's kind of your full-time job. But it's worth it. It is so worth it. Oh, it is. But anyway, so going forward then, so then we found out it wasn't working, couldn't figure it out. We're literally almost an hour, like an hour. An hour and a half late. Well, we were we just got into it about an hour later. Yeah. But we started testing an hour prior, an hour and 15 minutes prior to you know her coming.
SPEAKER_01And I was already like stressed. We were stressed, stressed. It was wild, and oh my gosh. I'm looking at I'm looking at Ivy like we were so fucking stressed out. Like, even going into the interview, that I was looking at you like, oh my god. And I feel like so like too much has happened to me.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but it didn't. And no, but the show must be amazing. She, yes, and Daphne calmed us down throughout the whole thing. Thank you so much. Oh my god, because we kept in contact, obviously, because we could not not, you know. So you guys had definitely had to go back and listen to our episode three because it was completely amazing. And again, shout out to Daphne Meeks because you're amazing. And we have so many things that we want to touch base on. We have notes upon notes from talking to you. But in the meantime, though, we're gonna go ahead and just share a little bit about our lives.
Ivy’s Colorado Trip And Airport Anxiety
SPEAKER_02It's been a hot tonight. It's been two weeks.
SPEAKER_01I know it's been a little bit. Ivy, what what did you do in the meantime of all this? Did you go to Colorado and stuff? No, I did not go to Colorado.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so I did. I went to Colorado. I actually was invited over with a with a dear friend of mine. Oh, dear friend. Dear friends. Anyway, fuck you. Love you. And I couldn't say no. I was there for a short, basically 48 hours, if not less. I did not sleep much. Yeah. So when we were trying to land in Denver from where I was coming from, there was a bad storm that had come in. So bad that we couldn't land the plane. So we just kept circling. And the passenger that I was sitting next to, of course, had the goddamn, because nowadays didn't know this. Haven't flown since I've been 16 years old internationally. That of course, this guy, like he just kept like showing this goddamn plane that just kept circling circling, circling. Let's all you saw was this plane circling. I'm like, I'm getting fucking dizzy. But the crazy thing was, is that I I literally I got through, you know, getting my bags checked and all that, got it checked in, and I literally had so much anxiety just getting there because it was a three hour drive from where I was to the airport. And so I just everybody can really touch you.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. I know.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god. And then so I go to the first restaurant that I see, and I just sit in my little because I'm a I'm a loner. I just I can be around people, but when I'm in that state of mind, I would much rather just be a little polite with my shelf, so I'm not like weird, you know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because you don't want to be out in some kind of fucking situation.
SPEAKER_02So then fast forward, I go to the airport, I'm sitting at the restaurant, and literally, like I said, I'm sitting by myself, and lo and behold, this man shows up and sits right by me. Man, and I was like, John. Oh boy, trying to enjoy my dream before you're not again. Anyways, so I I felt him like looking at me and stuff like that. That was like something. I did. Mom, looking, eyeballs. Get out of there, Scarlet. God, no, so yeah, that's what, and so finally he struck up conversation and lo and behold, found out that he was actually from where I work. Such a great guy, truly, truly so amazing and so helpful.

SPEAKER_02But here, yeah, I know I didn't tell him about the pod, to be fair. But, anyways, so moving forward, uh, so we so, in order, when you get to the big Denver airport, no matter where you're going, that's where you go you fly into. Well, typically, yes, yeah, and so uh he's he had my back the whole time. We go down these escalators, and like all of a sudden, you've seen like a million people. There was just so many people, and I looked up at him and I'm like, I don't, I don't know.
SPEAKER_01He knew that you were so fucking nervous.
SPEAKER_02Oh, he knew, yeah. I told him. I said, I've never flown by my I told him the I know he could have taken me and murdered me because you told him my whole life story. He's like, let's just go to my cabin here, yeah.

SPEAKER_02Who are you with? And what are you doing? I'm by myself. He helped me on to the tram that had to like take you all the way to the other end to where you have to be picked up. So, but on the on the tram ride, on the tram,
The Tram Moment That Killed
SPEAKER_02not and each other, anyways. So I'm standing there, I have not I'm looking around and I'm like this. I'm like literally like toe-to-toe. I have a video of how like toe-to-toe I am. Really? Um yes, and so I look up and I'm like, oh shit, besides videotaping yourself, bitch, you probably should videotape yours or videotape yourself. You probably should hang on to something. So I look up immediately when I look up to like try to hang on to something. The tram goes forward, and I'm like, uh, ooh, and immediately like look up to see what I'm holding on. Muscular man, and he was sexy, I'm not gonna lie.

SPEAKER_02He was a very and I was like, I looked up that I looked straight into his eyeballs, and I said, Well, I guess if anything else was gonna catch me, it was gonna be these muscles. Oh shit, or whatever I said. I think I change it every time. Who I love that it was something, and literally the whole, the whole trail. I had everybody fucking busting up at me. I would love that. It was the most beautiful moment. It's what everybody fucking needed. So then everybody gets off. I mean not everybody, but I mean I get a little spot in the back or whatever. He's still on there. So we finally get off, and he looks back at me when we get off the train. Things are spectrum, finally, and he said, catch you later.

I only had a short amount of time there, but got to see Garden of the Gods. I'm telling you that when I okay, so even like coming out of the airport and like even driving in Denver. You were feeling it. I was feeling I was emotional. Yeah, I was teary-eyed. I get you, but I yeah, and so I just was so grateful, honestly. I think that's probably why I was so emotional at first, like seeing those mountains, and just as we're driving, I was just so grateful to be in the moment that I was in and having the ability to do what I was doing. So, I mean, so many beautiful things happened that weekend. Oh my gosh, Colorado sounds fucking amazing. I'm so glad you had a great time. I'm telling you right now, like immediately, like I told you, like in the beginning, like it was just it was the most therapeutic trip that I could have in a short amount of time. I just cannot okay. So, everybody out there, I'm telling you right now, if you have a moment, a second to go upon a trip, even if you don't think that is enough time, you have enough time.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because your trip is literally like eight hours by the I mean, by the after all the fucking traveling. I mean, truly is you're still gonna stand by it because you had amazing time and you didn't regret a single fucking minute. So I just want to do one shout out to you, girl.
